Henry and Rebecca first matched on Hinge three weeks ago and actually went on several dates within a week of matching. Henry tells us that he really enjoyed Rebecca’s sense of humor, but he actually hasn’t heard from her in over a week and isn’t sure what went wrong. Rebecca was actually supposed to hang out with Henry and his friends, but she kind of no-showed him.

We call Rebecca trying to figure out if there is anything else between her and Henry that happened that may have caused things to go wrong and she tells us that she wasn’t a fan of Henry not wanting to do a couple’s costume with her. Find out what’s really going on in this Second Date Update!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Second date update on Internshohn in your Morning show, brought
to you by Strategic Love Plane now as Signature Theater
in Arlington, VA. You're dating somebody, you think they're the one,
you think things are going well, then some things start
not adding up. We tried to figure out exactly what's
going on. Let me go, Henry, good morning, Good morning,

(00:22):
Hey man, I got your email. Let's kind of walk
through this. You and Rebecca first met where.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
No, yeah, we met through the apps. I think it
was Hinge that we met. And we we met, we
matched there and you know, we started talking, having a
good time. We would go back and forth, you know
how the apps work, and then it was yeah, it
was it was fun.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
She was She's a cool chick. She's really funny.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
She's really quick witted.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Sure she could, you know, not only take a joke,
but she could give it back. And quite was good.
It was pretty cool.

Speaker 5 (00:55):
It was pretty awesome.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Okay, And so for as far as the timelines, this
was three weeks ago, you guys match, right.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Yeah, we met three weeks ago and then we went
on a few dates within a week.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
It's the that's the thing that kind of caught me,
not off but like you guys, it seems like like
matched on a Monday, and by that Friday, I have
been on two dates already.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Is that fair? Kind of like that kind of a timeline, right.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Right, right, right? So we yeah, because there was a
lot of conversation. I know, I know it sounds like
really fast or whatever, but.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Yeah, if you're just going with it, yeah, if.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
It makes sense. Also if if the other person's a
willing participant, ye, right.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
Though.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
It is nice though when you're on the same page too.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Oh yeah, I mean yeah, when you feel like somebody
actually wants to see you from dating app, Yeah, it's.

Speaker 6 (01:41):
Nice thing you're just going with the flow.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
So, uh, we matched three weeks ago.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
For two weeks, we basically have concert communications, seeing each
other every couple of days.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
But we've not heard from her in a week. Correct.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Yeah, that's what's throwing me off, just because there was
constant communication and then all of a sudden just nothing.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
And not only that, based in her email this past weekend,
she was supposed to kind of meet your friends and
watch football and she just didn't show up.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
We we had tickets, you know, I bought tickets. We
were supposed to go and then nothing, She just didn't
show up.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
She didn't and again didn't call back.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
The text me.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
So, but we had agreed upon that we were gonna
go all hang out. That she was giving me my
friends was again, it's kind of a big deal for
a guy.

Speaker 7 (02:25):
You know, you know, coming out with the guys.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah, and especially did to buy the ticket and then
like tell your buddies and then you just kind of
like the kid waiting on the side of the road
kicking the dirt.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Yeah, I hate that.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Okay. And so.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Did she ever confirm a prior like hey, yes, I'm
coming to the game with you, or is it like yeah, okay,
that's mes.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yeah, she said she what it was that was, I
was like, hey, we're all going to go to the game.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
You know, be cool if you came along.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Absolutely, she was a fan too, so she was like, yeah,
that would be great.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Wait wait, wait and then make sure though it wasn't
it'd be cool if you came along. It was like
I want you to come right like you. It wasn't like, uh,
you invited her, I got your ticket, come meet my friends.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
She knew that you bought her ticket.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Yes, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, that's messed up, dude.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yeah, so yeah, I'm gonna be honest. There's let got it,
you know, knock on wood. Nothing happened for that. So
what's this, Henry. We'll call her backa tragging around, get
her side.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Okay, appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
That's a I don't love that.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
I'd be dude. The embarrassment too, like have it? Tell
your homemides like, yeah, she didn't come. Hell, I call
him for Rebecca please, Yeah, this is she. Hey girl,
it's a intern.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
John.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
I got Sauce and Rose here as well. We talked
to you on the air real quick about something that's
like thirty seconds of your time.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Oh yeah, sure, beautiful.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
I got some other line here, Henry, if you want
to say hello, Hey, nailed and so Rebecca Henry reached
out to us. He had told us he guys mashed
on Hinge about three weeks ago. You guys did dates
for about two weeks. You're supposed to meet his friends
past weekend at a game, but you didn't show, and
so I guess we're trying to see obviously you're alive,

(04:19):
So we crossed out the list.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
What's where your head's at? What's going on? Uh? You know,
despite the record Ravens tickets still expensive.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
What happened, Yeah, well I think it was exactly what happened.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
I don't think so because we're here.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
Well, I mean, yeah, you were vibing, but you know,
I was telling him I've got this like Halloween party
going on, and I've got a bun and I need
a hot dog to my bun. And he like wouldn't
join my friends in my Halloween costume.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Wait, just so I understand this, this is not innuendo. Yeah,
a couple's costume, no.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
Like legitimately, like, I have this big bun and I
wanted him to be.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
The hot dog. I wanted to like a couple of costumes. Okay, No,
I made it myself, Okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
And so because Henry wasn't down for a couple's costume,
you just didn't show this weekend.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
No, if he can't play with my friends, I can't
play with Okay.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Henry, that's great.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
This is like this.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
We met two weeks ago, Like you want me to
do a Halloween.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Couples because we were a couple.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
So people trying to you know, get to know each
other and to do going to jump into a couple
of costume.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Yeah, that's crazy, Like I don't even know what that means.
Like that, I thought it was a legitimate joke.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
You guys just almost did she said I need a
bunch of my house.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Yeah, that's fair, funny, Rebecca, let me ask you and
we don't judge. So you said yes to go into
the game? Correct only full well you weren't going to
go Yeah, but this.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
Was before the Halloween costume situation.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Okay, but like you okay, but you like knew you're
supposed to go to the game. The show's not to fair. Yeah,
because he went to the couple's costume.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
That's great.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Okay, I'm gonna put you guys on hold.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Question Team Henry, Team Rebecca eight seven seven nine four
six eight went to call nine ninety three three eight
to text second date update on intern John Your Morning Show.
Second date update on intern John Your Morning Show. We
has talked to Henry and Rebecca. They matched on Hinge
about three weeks ago.

Speaker 8 (06:36):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
He had said they kind of started pretty fast. I
go on dates basically like right away. Things are going
so well. But he had invited her to the Ravens
game this past weekend with his buddies. She didn't show up.

Speaker 6 (06:48):
He h.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
We talked to her.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Her side of the story is she'd asked him to
do a couple's costume and then I guess he said
he didn't want to, didn't They goes serious. The idea
is this is kind of the tip for tat if
you will your thought, it's eighty seven seven nine ninety
five four six s eight one to call, nine ninety
three three eight to text. So I get you on
hold saus, what do you want to say?

Speaker 6 (07:07):
I'm gonna be on Henry's side just because, like, look,
I get the things. We're moving fast or going with
the flow, and they seem to be really having great time.
And I understand sure why she would ask him to
do the couple's costume whatever. Uh, but I do think
that when he said, like when he first of all
invited you to the game meet his friends, and then

(07:27):
he bought a ticket specifically for you, and you decided
to one up him because he didn't want to do
the couple's costume and not tell him that, and then
he spent money and was embarrassed. Yes, you know that,
Like I don't think that's that's not nice at all,
and I feel like that's just who you are as
a person, if that's your way of being like in
your face.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Yeah, I would almost say to that point, for a
dude to have you meet his friends is probably almost
as important, if not more than the family, because like
friends will you talked to her often? But that is
that is so embarrassing if it's like no, she's coming yeah,
And then I think at that point there's no coming
back from that. Like if if one of my guy
friends we were going back to the Caps game last
night and this a girl sit him up, I wouldn't

(08:07):
want to meet that girl over again.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
No, And the reasoning is kind of silly. I understand
that you made the costume, you want to do it.
Maybe I honestly, if it was only it had only
been two weeks, I would have thought it was a joke.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
Too fair.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
But if you really meant it, or you even more
if you're obviously Rebecca's feelings were hurt, say.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
That, sure, that's fair. I think it's warm there. Let
me go in Millersville, melaniea morning. What do you want
to say? It was second d update girlfriend.

Speaker 8 (08:36):
I think she needs a different we need.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
In the costume contest. Yes, as in the costume for
the costume contest.

Speaker 7 (08:45):
Yes, okay, yes, yeah, in general probably yeah, But I
mean I think her idea is.

Speaker 6 (08:50):
Very cute, but she's not part of a couple yet.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
They're just dating, they've been on one day. Yeah, it's a.

Speaker 5 (08:55):
Little presumptuous to expect him to go along with that
versus going to a football game.

Speaker 8 (09:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
I think most dudes going to do a couple of
costumes when they're actually in a relationship.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Let alone when they're not.

Speaker 9 (09:07):
You know, my husband would never.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Man, Melanie, thank you for listening. Have a great day. Thanks, guys,
I'm a good bye Rose. What do you want to
say with this?

Speaker 9 (09:16):
I feel like it's not hard to tell somebody that
you're not going to a football game, Like he has
an extra ticket, he can bring somebody, he can bring
another friend. If you're not interested in going, seeking it
to him that way is not cool.

Speaker 10 (09:28):
I also feel like the couple of costume, Like, if
you're going out in public and it's two weeks in,
you probably don't want to. But if it's like at
a friend's house, okay, whatever, Like if you're going together, sure,
But like I don't think.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
The couple of costumes up, big of a deal.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Now, let me go on the free iHeartRadio app in
the Great State of Michigan and good morning. What do
you want to say of this an.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
He's touly dodged the bullet.

Speaker 7 (09:53):
If someone's that rude to not follow through even vend
you a message, Hey, I'm not going to the game,
give your ticket to someone.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
Else, totally dodge a bullet. It's only a foreshadowing of
what's to come.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Yeah, I disagree, and that's a pretty intentional thing. Uh,
and K, I ask you're in Michigan, poor k why
did you like start the DMV and move out that
way or how do you find yourself in the lone
Star state?

Speaker 7 (10:14):
Exactly? I started in the DMB listening to you guys
for years, and you're the only radio station I listened
to in the morning.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Thank you, And I'm gonna put you in home. We're
gonna send you my man shirt.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
Okay, okay, So I'm good.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
On one second.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
For anybody who text in Saint John, Michigan's not the
lone star state.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
You're dumb. You've not listened to the show long enough,
and perhaps you are the dumb one that's a joke.
You're not dumb, but it is lone star state. Now
is Andrea Naya? Good morning?

Speaker 6 (10:42):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (10:42):
No, Hi, good morning?

Speaker 8 (10:43):
There we go.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
No, what do you want to say with this?

Speaker 6 (10:46):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (10:46):
Okay, So I'm gonna say I'm canting Rebecca, Like I
get it was I don't know, like it was very intentional.
About the same time, It's like if money wasn't involved,
like he invited one single female to go hang out
with all his bros, Like I would feel kind of weird,
but like going to somebody's house like costume party, like
he could have brought a.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
Friend, like you know, like, but no, it would only
be her.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
And on his brow.

Speaker 7 (11:07):
So I feel a little awkward too, and maybe I
would like maybe it was wrong. She didn't go back
and say anything, but if money wasn't involved like that,
then it wouldn't have been that big of a deal either.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Let me ask this night because somebody text this and
I was just thinking this, does it matter how long
she was making the costume, Like let's just say she
started making the.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Costume, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (11:24):
Like that's like it's more personal, like it was more
like closer. I feel like that's like she spent money
on that too, Like she now she didn't get to
wear the costume and.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
It was a waste.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
But I'm saying where she was making the costume like
two months ago, so it's almost like she was playing
to have a guy there and just like whoever fit the.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Build, you know what I mean.

Speaker 7 (11:45):
I mean, hey, at least she chose him in a
way like it was you know, yeah, maybe it wasn't
supposed to go that longer.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
It was just for fun too, Like it was a little.

Speaker 7 (11:55):
Costume party, like just going outside in DC, Like, yeah,
you can find a costume with somebody else.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
That's what Eric said to me. No big deal, NYA,
thank you for listening. A great day.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Let's go with Glenn Burnie Taylor, good morning, Good morning.
I as a season ticket owner for the Ravens, look
at that your thoughts on this.

Speaker 8 (12:19):
I'm definitely team Henry on this. I think that these
tickets are too expensive to have somebody just like say
they're going to show up and not come through.

Speaker 5 (12:27):
I hope.

Speaker 8 (12:27):
I think it's kind of weird that she has this
like specialized handmade costume and she wants this man to
wear it when they've only been like seeing each other
forly two weeks, I think.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Now, Taylor, let me ask you this, as a season
ticket holder for the Ravens, if you had a guest
who on the show was once banned from M and
T Bank Stadium, who do you think it would be?

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Oh?

Speaker 8 (12:49):
My gosh, probably you? Probably John?

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Two years?

Speaker 7 (13:02):
Only for two years?

Speaker 3 (13:03):
Wait, why did you get banned?

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Don't worry about it. We don't want to talk about it.

Speaker 6 (13:07):
Okay, that's fair.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
I had too much fun.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
I was having just way too much fun.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Yeah, which happens sometimes. Absolutely, Taylor, I get you a
coffee for listening.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Oh sure, yeah, I'm hey, my man, my man.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
On one second, you want to do a second date update?
Dms are up in at WYMUS Radio. We should do
a quiz like that because I think I wouldn't have
guessed it was you.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
I wouldn't have guessed was me either? I think so
my dad's birthday? Sorry, was it really?

Speaker 6 (13:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (13:35):
That's exciting, But now you've basically been there ever your
week so far the season, So there you go.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
I was trying things change. Look at that. Look at that.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Let's intern John in your morning show.
