Raychel and Jake have been dating for over three months after first matching on Bumble. According to Raychel things have been great, but for the past few weeks she has noticed that Jake has grown more distant which she originally tied to his dog Rocky passing away. However, the other day Raychel found a golden necklace at Jake’s house that she thought was for her birthday, but she never received the necklace.

We call Jake pretending to send him a free bouquet of flowers and when we ask him who he wants to send the flowers to, Jake asks if we can send them to Raychel. However, the story doesn’t end there. Find out what’s really going on in this week’s War Of The Roses!

Speaker 1 (00:05):
One of the rosies on Internshohn in your morning show,
you are with who you think is the love of
your life. You think that the one for you, but
then things start to not add up. We try to
see what's going on. Rachel, good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Hey guys, good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
So walk us through this. You and Jake first matched
on Bumble about how long ago?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Yeah we met shall Bumble like three months ago?

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Okay? And what about Jake made him stand out from
the endless sea of men on dating apps?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
I mean from his pictures and stuff. I thought he
was really cute, so that I guess like initially attracted
me to him. And then you know, after like our
first date, I just kind of felt like, you know,
you meet a lot of guys that are like super flaky,
and he's just like not flaky, Like he really kind
of makes me a priority, and I really liked that
about him.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Yeah, I was gonna bring it up because you mentioned
in the email even though he's got busiest schedule, like,
he always made it seem like you were still like
you make time for calls and checking in and like
he was going the extra mile, so to speak.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Yeah, his job is super super busy, but I feel
like even if he has like twenty minutes he calls me,
you know, just still like caring.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
And I really like that about him. Okay, but Cornel
to email. With the course of the last month, that's
kind of changed a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yeah, I feel like all of a sudden, I don't
know if he's just pulling back or whatever, but he's
not as accessible, Like I'm having a hard time getting
a hold of him. We're not seeing each other as much.
I just don't really know what changed.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Has he had, like a change in his like schedule
or like life in generally like no, like.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
His his work schedule was like essentially, I mean, as
far as I know, like it's the same. His dog
died recently, like last month's U. But yeah, I mean,
and I feel like I've been trying to be really
supportive about it.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
What kind of dog cute?

Speaker 4 (01:57):
His name is Rocky?

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Oh name is Rocky? Yeah, bull dog, He's super cute.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah, But I don't know, Like I just I guess
I didn't. I'm just kind of confused, Like I'm not
really sure what's going on. It feels like a big change.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
It explained to me the golden necklace, So you were
at his place a couple of weeks ago, did a
little digging and what was that.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
So it was my birthday recently and I was at
his place and I don't know, kind of like with
everything that's been going on, I I'm feeling with a
little insecure and I found this gold necklace and I thought, oh,
my birthday is coming up. He's definitely gonna just as
a present for me. I'll get it on my birthday
and I you know, put it back whatever. And then
on my birthday, we got dinner and he took me

(02:48):
to a spag got a massage like it was really nice.
But I kind of kept waiting to get the necklace.
And I never got the necklace.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Okay, love, Actually that's what I was to let's do
dis but no, no, I mean, like as somebody who
lost a pet this year, that is it's the worst.
So to let's do this, Rachel. We'll call Jake off
from the roses. They should clearly go to you girlfriend
three months if they do, and put him on hold.
See what you want to do if they don't, look

(03:16):
at some answers for you. Okay, Okay, I wore the
roses just over two minutes on intern Johnny Morning Show. Yes,
wore the rosies on intern john in your morning show, Rachel,
let me recap this. So you and Jake match bumble.
You guys have been dating for about three months. You
had said that what kind of made you drawn to
him is he's a very busy guy. Busy schedule, work, YadA, YadA.

(03:39):
But he still took the time out to make you
feel like a priority, although in the past month or
so that seems sort of shifted.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
To be fair, he did lose his belove bulldog, which
certainly tough. I can understand that. But a couple of
weeks back, you were doing some snooping in his place,
went through his drawers, found a gold necklace you assumed
to be for your birthday. Birthday came around you guys
at dinner and spot not the necklace, And that's kind
of why you want to you wore the roses. Is
that fair?

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yeah? I think that's all fair.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Okay, So sausage got called off for Emily roses. They
should go to you girlfriend of three months. If they do,
we put you on hold. See what you want to do.
If they don't, we'll get some answers. Hold on one second. Yeah,
and I can understand losing the pet, and then yeah,
God forgetting everything else been there. Lord knows right.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Hello, this is Jake.

Speaker 5 (04:33):
Hi Jake. My name is Emily and calling you from
a new flower shop. We're offering you a free bouquet
of a dozen roses. We're just trying out some new marketing.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
No, Emily, it's okay. I don't do these solicitation calls. Okay.

Speaker 5 (04:45):
I appreciate your calling on percent to get that. We're
just we're just brand new. We're trying to get more
foot traffic before the holidays. We don't need your credit
card info or anything. And it's just a way for
you know, you to look better maybe if you have
someone to send them to, and then that will, hopefully
in the future, help out my mom's new flower shop.
Just yeah, help your local economy. But if you don't
want to, I get it. I just feel like a
free bouquet of roses is easier to you know, promote

(05:09):
something than Instagram ads and stuff.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
So this isn't like one of those scam calls or
anything like that.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
No, I literally hate talking on the phone, so I
don't want to do this. I just thought it's the
best way, and so far it's been working this kind
of marketing. So uh, if you have a business, yeah,
maybe you could try it out.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
And you said it it's a free it's free. Okay.

Speaker 5 (05:32):
Yeah, Well, we just like have a plethora right now,
so we're trying to get rhythm since it's not really
like that time of year and they're red so I
mean people are always sending roses, but not as many
as we have.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
We just got some really nice ones.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
So oh wow, that sounds pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
So you're in.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
It sounds like you're in. You have someone.

Speaker 5 (05:50):
I know, you have someone to send them to. Jake,
I can tell.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
You know, I love the idea, but free anything free.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
Yeah, and then hopefully you just love them so much
that you use this in the future, like during the
holidays instead of you know, a national chain any stipulations
with this, you know, we just want to get them out.
We want to hook you up, and if you don't
like them, that sucks for us. But this is not
going to do anything for you, So it's not gonna
you know, ruin your day hopefully.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Okay, well I guess in that case, sign me up.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
Okay, y, who do you want to send them to.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Well, let's see, I would love to send them to
somebody that I've been talking to dating for about three months,
four months now. Her name is Rachel.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
And then what do you want the card to say?
Just your typical flower cards.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
So I would love for it to say like these
roses are love and lust will never die.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Like these roses are love will never die.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Love and lust.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
Yeah, all right, let me just put you on hold
so we can get that together and then I'll get
an address.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Okay, is that cool?

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Okay, so great? Thank you?

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Okay, real quick. So, Rachel, I'm sorry, I maybe texting
the whole time, but I Eric, is't you talk to
the person online?

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Nine?

Speaker 1 (07:15):
So Rachel, he sent them to you, which is good.
But hold on. Is this Stephanie? Hello? Hi? So you Stephanie?
You know Jake?

Speaker 6 (07:31):
Yeah, coming for about three years and five years prior
to that because he's my damn husband.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
It's not awkward. Wow.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
I don't think that's true.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
I don't he's not married.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
Yeah it is true?

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Yeah, yeah, okay true. Can you verify that, Stephanie.

Speaker 6 (07:51):
The whole dog dying bit that he has going, that's
pretty amazing being that our dog Rocky is very well
in the life, just pooped on the floor yet last night,
very very much so alive.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
Okay, it could be a comic.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
About that, Okay, Okay, so are we I don't mean,
I'm not disbelieving. So are we saying? Then that Rachel
has been at y'all's place then? And that was.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
No, it's probably his brother's place. Most likely his brother
lives by.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Where is his brother's place?

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (08:26):
Is it by the airport? Because his brother is a pilot,
he's never home.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Yeah, I mean his place is by the airport.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
Yeah, yeah, I'm sure.

Speaker 6 (08:34):
Does he have a tattoo on it on the back
of the shoulder for penn stain by chance?

Speaker 3 (08:39):
That's yeah, he has a tattoo.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Yeah, it's like a I don't know, like it looks
like a like a big cat or something like a
jaguar on panther.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
So if you guys want, he's on hold, I can
just be on Yeah, bring him.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
I just literally I cannot believe this, Okay, But Rachel,
I just want to be sure too.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
You had no idea he was married.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
I had literally no idea.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
I would never day to marry.

Speaker 7 (09:05):
Matt not you.

Speaker 1 (09:06):

bad news is your wife, Stephanie's on the line too. Stephanie,
if you want to.

Speaker 6 (09:30):

but I think I'll have my divorce attorney say it
for me, because this is we're done. We are done, Jake.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
I'm sorry. I'm confused with Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
So Jake, you know you're not confused.

Speaker 6 (09:47):
You're confused that you got caught.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
You're not confused going on for three months.

Speaker 3 (09:54):

Speaker 1 (09:57):

your dog's alive.

Speaker 2 (10:11):

could do this to me. But secondly, I actually don't
understand how you could do this.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
