Speaker 1 (00:05):
More of the roses on intern John in your morning show.
There is no worse feeling than being what you think
is a committed and loving relationship and then having the
thought come up, are they cheating? We try to rip
off that banda get right to the bottom of it. Vanessa,
good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Hey, good morning.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Oh gosh, I'm so.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Stressed about this.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
No, I can't imagine, and I think you're doing the
right thing. It's better to find it out now than
down the line. So let's get into this. You and
Clay have been together how long?
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Gosh?
Speaker 3 (00:37):
Just like we're almost up a year and a half mark.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
He's really sexy, he's really cool.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
He's a mechanic.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
I met him because my friend recommended I go to
his shop, and so I.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Brought my car into him and.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
He's just really he's really cute, he's really kind hit
it off. We started dating and them a year and.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
A half later and so, and we've also been living
together for about a year. Is that correct?
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Yeah, like yeah, or almost at the year mark. So
it's you know, getting really serious trend.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
But so with the move, I'm gonna cut you off
with the moving end thing? Was it you moved into
his place? Did he move into your place? Was it
a both of our leases were up, so we got
place together.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Like that, and that's how that kind of both of
our leases were up and things were just heading in
you know, the right, like the perfect direction for both
of us, that were like, let's make this happen.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:30):
Friends and family are fans of him.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Yeah, yeah, you know, even though he's like this, you know,
tatted up kind of sky or whatever, like no might
really taum yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
Everybody, it's always nice to have like a mechanic.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Oh god, yeah, absolutely, okay, And so the reason we're
doing War of the Roses is, so you recently changed jobs, right, well, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
I mean basically what's going on is I would say
the last I don't know, six weeks, two months, he
just seems super off. His routine changes, he's treating me different,
he's just he's I mean, I've gotten to know him
really really well, and I mean I consider my best friend,
and something is not it's just so off.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
I can't explain it.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
And so I just want to know what the heck
is up, because yeah, recently I got a new job.
My schedule's changed, it's awesome. I've pivoted, like in this
really cool direction. And so I figured, okay, one day
I had, you know, this day free, and I wanted
to bring him lunch and I'll surprise him. I go
(02:43):
buy his shop and he's not there, and I'm thinking, huh,
that's strange. I ask his you know, co workers, his
colleagues where he is. They just say, oh, he's out
to lunch. And I thought, that's weird. He never goes
out to lunch and interesting, and I'm like, this is
(03:04):
so weird.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
His car car is there.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Yeah, it's like something I smell a rot.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
Yeah, that's fair.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
When you smell a rat, there's a rot.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
No, I think that's kind of fair.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
So your kind of thought is you'd rather find out
right now than like, I mean, I think the anxiety
would drive me crazy.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
Is he just you want to leviate the anxiety? Is
that fair?
Speaker 3 (03:26):
I just want to know what's going on, and he's
just telling me he's stressed.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
It's so vague.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
I got you. You just didn't know who he would
be with, or maybe like.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
Okay, well let's do this.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
We'll have sauce call from the flower shop, off from
the bouquet a dozen red roses. They should go to you,
girlfriend of a year and a half. If they do,
we'll put them on hold. See what you want to do.
If they go somewhere else, though, we'll get some answers
for you.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Okay, okay, yeah please.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
I wore the roses about dwore the roses on intern
John in your morning show, Vanessa, let me recap this.
You and Clay have been dating for about a year
and a half. You met because he is a mechanic.
You brought your car into the shop. You guys kind
of hit it off there, moved in about five months later.
Been living together for about a year. Everything's been going well. However,
(04:13):
the last two months or so, in your words, he
seems off. When you ask him about it, he says,
it's just stress in life, so on and so forth.
You recently got a new job. A new job came
with the new schedule. He had some off time. You
stopped by the shop to bring him lunch. His coworker
said he wasn't there. He was out to lunch with
somebody else, but his car was there. That's kind of
(04:36):
where we're at. Is that fair?
Speaker 2 (04:39):
That's exactly right?
Speaker 5 (04:40):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (04:41):
When you in the past had gone to the shop,
did they act happy to see you or could you
tell a shift change whereas like oh she's here.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Yeah, there was a shift change even.
Speaker 5 (04:52):
In the guys.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
And that's because before it's like.
Speaker 6 (04:56):
Oh hey, you know, like oh yeah, when they know something.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Yeah, okay, okay, yeah, that's uh okay. So let's do this.
We'll have Sauce call from the flower shop, offer him
the flowers. Clearly they should go to you girlfriend of
a year and a half. If they do, we'll put
them on hold and see what you want to do.
We can hang up, do whatever. If they go to
somebody else, we'll get some answers for you.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Okay, okay, got thank you so much.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
On one second, let's try to get him on here.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
Yeah, Hello, Hello, I'm I'm calling for Clay.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
This is Clay.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Hi Clay.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
My name is Danny.
Speaker 6 (05:44):
I'm calling you from a new local flower shop. We
are called YMSS Flowers. We're trying out new marketing where
we're offering you a free bouquet of a dozen roses
just and hopes you come back to us for future occasions.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
Totally free.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
Don't need your credit card info, cans get who you
want to send them to, so we can get that
out today hopefully.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Yeah, you know, I'm not really in the roses, you know,
or this flower stuff.
Speaker 6 (06:05):
Usually people, because we do this once a week, usually
people send them to a lug one. We're just trying
to get our product actually out there in person so
that you come back to us instead of just you
seeing an Instagram ad.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
And it's totally free, and it.
Speaker 6 (06:19):
Makes you look great if you have like someone special
in your life, like maybe you are married, or you
have like a significant other in general and you just
want to send them, it makes you look good, totally free,
and then hopefully you're like, oh they love the flowers.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
Come back. Then you come back as.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
What I mean, so, okay, well what did these? No
hits here?
Speaker 6 (06:37):
No, I won't have your credit card info or anything,
so it's honestly just hopefully you like the flowers. Then
you want to support a local business instead of a
national chain kind of thing, you know.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
All right, sure this doesn't take long, No, it won't
take long.
Speaker 6 (06:50):
I just need you know the name like all that stuff,
so we'll I'll just go down this list. So can
I get a name of who you want to send
them to.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Yeah, all right, I send the flowers to Courtney, and.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
Then what is she to you?
Speaker 6 (07:04):
We're gonna make like a little file just in case
you do end up, you know, loving them.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
And then you come back and I'm.
Speaker 6 (07:09):
Like, oh, Courtney, your girlfriend, mom, sister?
Speaker 4 (07:13):
You know?
Speaker 2 (07:13):
So?
Speaker 4 (07:14):
Uh what they are? Red roses?
Speaker 2 (07:16):
By the way, Okay, what I mean? What? What? What
to say in the card.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Or something like what is she to you?
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Like?
Speaker 6 (07:22):
Is uh, you know his girlfriend? Maybe you're about to
get married? It's your fiance?
Speaker 4 (07:26):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (07:28):
Uh, rather not say okay, good friend? Yeah? Sure? And
what do you want the card to say? It's just
your typical little flower card?
Speaker 2 (07:40):
All right? How about next time I'll check more than
your oil. Excuse me, Clay? What did you change your voice? What?
Speaker 6 (07:55):
What?
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Hello?
Speaker 5 (07:58):
Clay?
Speaker 2 (07:59):
What the.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Real quick? Uh? Clay, my name is intern John. I
have sauce and rose here as well. We're doing a
war of the roses. I need to let you know
that legally, that is your girlfriend.
Speaker 5 (08:14):
Her name is.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Yeah, that is not girlfriend, Clay.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
What I can't say? But yeah, what Clay? What is
going on? Who's Courtney?
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Who's Courtney's set up? She's a friend. All right, you
want more than her oil?
Speaker 3 (08:35):
Are you kidding?
Speaker 5 (08:36):
First off, how tacky is that?
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yeah? Wait, first of all, I'm a mechanic, all right,
and you know sometime. Let you just checked the oil.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
Yeah, let me talk, let her, let me talk, let
me talk.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
I'm I'm afraid of you.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
You are?
Speaker 3 (08:57):
So is this what's been going on? Is me the
reason why you've been just so acting different?
Speaker 2 (09:04):
No?
Speaker 5 (09:04):
Okay, so what is it?
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Then?
Speaker 5 (09:06):
Her roses?
Speaker 3 (09:08):
You're sending her roses?
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Well, she's a good customer.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
Oh my god. Do you do that with a lot
of your customers? You send them roses?
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Like well, he dates some of them and then yeah, absolutely,
he dates one, then sends flowers.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
The other one that's not expensive.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
I've been trying to be communicative with you and find
out what's going on, and obviously I think we know
now what's going on.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Yeah, Claike, I'd say, as an observer, I would be
afraid of the relative calmness. Yeah, and yet still scary
anger coming from nessa.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
I would just own up to it, my guy, it was.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
Let me talk for me, honestly, Yeah, I would.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
I would just own up to it.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Wow, Okay, look she's a long time stomper A.
Speaker 6 (09:50):
Right, okay, wouldn't the company you work for send the flowers,
not you?
Speaker 5 (09:55):
Yes? And I also wanted to send to your girlfriend.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
Yeah, yeah, Do you want flowers?
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Is that it? Do you want flowers?
Speaker 6 (10:03):
I mean you know your address? Do you know where
to send them? But how do you know Corney's address?
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Like?
Speaker 4 (10:06):
That's weird?
Speaker 5 (10:06):
A good points, it's a good point.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
No, I don't want ours from you. I want you
to want to send flowers to me and not to
another for men.
Speaker 6 (10:17):
Yeah, all right, I want to help you move out, Fanessa. Yes,
that's what I want for you.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
Oh no, no, no, no, no no, you can help
client move.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
