At the same time, Lauren has found out that Nick is still pays to be on Hinge and she’s starting to think Nick is cheating on her.

We call Nick pretending to give him a free bouquet of flowers and when we ask him who he wants the flowers sent to, Nick asks if they can go to someone named Michaela. Find out what’s really going on in this week’s War Of The Roses!

Speaker 1 (00:07):
It is War of the Rosies on Internshohn in Good
Morning Show. You're in what you think is a healthy,
happy relationship until some things start popping up. We try
to get to the bottom of it. Lauren, good morning,
Good morning. So I understand, I understand, walk us through this.
You and Nick been together for how long?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
For three years?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Okay? And Madame Bumble correct?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Correct, And we've been living together for about.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
A year, okay.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
And in regards to the living together, was that your
idea was that his idea was that our leases are
both up?

Speaker 3 (00:41):
What was the reason we moved in?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
No, it was just well our leases were up, yes, okay, sure,
but it was it was both of our of our
ideas it Yeah, I mean, great relationship and just definitely
thought we were, you know, heading down that road anyway
towards marriage and so might as well live together save
little money, you know, And it's been wonderful.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
So okay, But in your email, this all started happening
kind of in the fall.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
What's going on? Why we're doing roses?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Right? So, so about that time Nick got a promotion
and which is you know, it is great, except that
he used to work like forty hours a week and
I would go to work events with him and stuff.
And since the promotion, he's working like sixty hours a week,
and you know, it's crazy, and I just don't even
see him anymore, you know. So it's just it's I

(01:33):
don't know that that alone wouldn't have been enough for
me to call you guys. But Okay, Monday, he came
home from work and then I get.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
A text, this is lady right now today.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Yes, last Monday, I got you and and it says
the text says that he can't do dinner because his
plans have changed. And I'm like, what the hell? Okay,
So so I approached him and he says, uh, he says,
well that he has scheduled this text.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait, Lauren, just understand. Sorry,
he was in the same like he was in your
apartment when you got a text of him saying I
can't do dinner plans changed.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Yeah, exactly. Okay, that's really weird.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
So you got that text, you walk like five feet
over wherever he is and ask, hey, what's this about, right.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
And so he just sort of got like a little
flustered and said that, you know, he had scheduled the
text to me, so it wasn't and I was like,
that doesn't make any sense at all. Why would you
schedule a text? Yeah, in advance to say that something
came up, like you can't. That doesn't make any sense, however.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
So I really can't schedule text now. But that's an
odd one schedule okay.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Right, and like you know, he's never I mean I
didn't think he was had ever lied to me before.
So I was like, Okay, it doesn't make sense, but
I'm just going to have to try and ignore that, okay.
So then like a couple of days later, when when
he just went for a one, I sort of went
through his phone, which and it was terrible, but I did.
And he has a subscription to Hinge.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Now yeah, I see that in your email, and the
paid one, like he is paying for Hinge.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yeah, And then like you know, I know, I mean
he used two years ago, and sometimes people forget I
know that they have it.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Yeah, but that feels like I'd be honest, though, Lauren,
I don't think you could pay for Hinge three years
ago if you guys have been dating for three years.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
I don't though. Pinge was a paid subscription three years ago.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
I probably would, but I don't. I don't know how
you would forget that sauce. That's a lot of money
every month for three years. Okay, so let's do this, Lauren.
We'll have sauce call from the flower company offer him
the roses. They should obviously go to you. If they do,
we'll hang up. See what you want to do if
they go to somebody else with some answers for you.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Okay, I thank you.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
The problem War the Roses on Intern Johnny Morning Show.
It is War the Roses on intern john in your
morning show, Lauren, let me recap this quick.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
You and Nick been together for three years. I met.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
I'm bumble living together. The last year everything was going well.
Back in the fall he got a new job. So
the new job has brought more hours. Where he was
working like fifty hours before, now it's like sixty. You
have not been invited to as many work events as before.
And the biggest kind of flag was last Monday, you
guys both in your apartment. You got a text from
him saying, Hey, things came up. I can't do dinner tonight.

(04:18):
You asked them about it, he said, oh, that was
a scheduled text. I forgot to delete to you. That's
kind of number one. Number two ways went through his
phone found out he is paying for Hinge. That's kind
of where we're at right right exactly the question I had,
So been living together for over a year, Does that
mean that we've signed.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
A new lease?

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Absolutely, So yeah, we're.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Lost in unless we break the.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Lead, Okay, And so we wanted to ask and so
the end of this concern but yeah, no, But but
I'm saying is.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
At the end of this lease, it'd be four years together.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
So have we talked about the next step, like getting
married or has that not come up yet?

Speaker 2 (04:58):
I mean, if you stick, come up a lot more
more than it has recently. You know, we used to
kind of talk about it, and I just figured we
weren't talking about it because he wanted to surprise me.
But now I just really don't know.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
I guess for me, you know, a new job is stressful,
the promotion stressful. I get that. The one kind of
thing I don't quite understand to me is the paid
thing for Hinge. We talked about. Could he have had
it before you guys started dating? Absolutely?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Did they have subscriptions for Hinge back then? I'm not positive. Also,
to Sauce's point, would you not realize for three years,
so thirty six months, basically you're paying for some of
the monthly.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Yeah, there's a lot of money. So let's do this.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
We'll have Sauce call from the flower company, offered Nick
the roses. They should go to you, obviously, girl friend
of three years. If they go to you, we put
them on hold. We'll see what you want to do.
We can hang up, move on whatever. If they go
to somebody else, we'll get some answers for you.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Okay, oh CRUs your fingers please.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
I guess last thing real quick. Has he been the
same job the entire time you guys have been dating.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Yeah, it was. It was a promotion. Sure, so I
know he's he's working with new people and stuff.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
But I was gonna get asked, is if you haven't
been to events recently? If there were like other you know, girlfriends, wives,
boyfriend's husbands who reached out like hey I have you
Are you coming to the Christmas party or anything like that?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (06:18):
Yeah, probably, I mean all.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Right, that's right.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Yeah, no, I said, Okay, so let's let's let's try
get him on real quick.

Speaker 3 (06:24):

Speaker 4 (07:20):
