Speaker 1 (00:00):
Second date update on internshown in Your Morning. Shall you
meet somebody you think breaks the mold? Maybe they could
be the one or at least the one right now?
And then they stopped talking. We tracked figure out exactly
what's going on. Rebecca, good morning, Good morning. So walk
us through this. You and Doug met where?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Yeah, well through hint.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Through hints. And how long ago was that?

Speaker 4 (00:26):
Well, it was like a month and a half ago,
month and.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
A half ago. Okay.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
How long did it take you guys to meet in
person after matching on the app?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Well, it was about two weeks. We first had coffee
and it was great, like I.

Speaker 5 (00:44):
Think we clicked immediately, like it was everything.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
It was fine. We went dinner as well.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Okay, but yeah, I didn't.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Know what happened.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Like two weeks ago. I went to her house, like
we had dinner.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Everything was fine.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
I didn't say over, but everything.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Was like you went to his house? Yes, gotcha? Did
he did he make you dinner? Or did you guys
order in he make? Look at that what he made?

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Like everything, like he's so romantic, Like it was perfect.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Everything was perfect.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Okay, but we didn't stay over.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
So when you left there, how did you guys leave.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
It like everything was good?

Speaker 5 (01:31):
Like we like I thought we were in the same page, okay.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
And then I texted him, I called him and he
didn't answer it.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Okay, and so and that was two weeks ago. And
so he's given you no indication of why, no response
like why okay?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yeah, okay, and no idea okay.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
And there's nothing you can think of. There's no like
weird vibes or anything.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Again. He may it seem like we're gonna see each
other again soon we are? Yeah, No, I have no clue. Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
And then the final question is how long have you
been single? How long has he been single?

Speaker 3 (02:12):
If if you know, mmm, I've been single for a year.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
Okay, I'm not sure about him.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Okay, let me just let's call him, because making somebody
food it's a pretty big big yeah, that's like, it's
odd that he would put that much investment in then
just kind of pop out. So let me call him
and track him on real quick. No, No, it'd be fine,
it'll be fine. It'll be fine either way. All right, Hi,

(02:51):
calling for Doug please, Hey, man, it's interns you down.
I got Sauce and Rose here as well. Can I
talk to on the air real quick about something nothing bad,
I just need like thirty seconds of your time.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Sure, all right, So we're doing a second date update.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I have somebody on the other line here, Rebecca, if
you want to say hello, Hi.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
So are you nailed it? And so? Uh Doug.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
The reason Rebecca reached out to us she had told
us you guys mashed on Hinge by a month and
a half ago, that you guys have been on three
dates at the last day, you made her a lovely meal,
and that she hasn't heard from you in two weeks.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
So we're here trying to see where you're at.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
I think that's uh, it sounds like you're a stand
up fella making somebody meal very nice, and we just
want to see where your heads at.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yeah, uh yeah, everything went pretty good. Yeah, we had
a couple of dates and and you know, we went
out for coffee one time.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Yeah we know all that.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah, So I guess we're just trying to see where
your head's at like currently.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Yet I was really you know, kind of teared me off.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
She she still seems.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Ex boyfriends, like she's still sleeping with an ex boyfriend.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Oh, did not even come up. Yeah, that's a good point.
How did you find how that we're.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Just well, we were we were just talking about you know, last.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Relationships and and uh, you know, previous relationships, and she
explained to me that she still currently sleeps with one
of her exes.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Okay, Rebecca, is that what?

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Well?

Speaker 5 (04:28):
But but I'm like, we're not dating anymore, like he's
not my boyfriend anymore.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Is this?

Speaker 6 (04:34):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Is this just for Meana? We judge? Is this the
acts that we dated a year ago?

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:42):
It's just like ut our needs Matt?

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Or is it? Do we still have feelings?

Speaker 2 (04:49):
No?

Speaker 4 (04:49):
No, I don't have scenings for him anymore.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
No?

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Okay, okay, so in theory, like if it worked out
with Doug, you would cut that off.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Is that we're saying?

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Of course?

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (04:59):
But Doug You're You're thought is it's just odd the
acts is still yeah, okay, let me just I'm gonna
put you guys in hold. Are you a team Rebecca
or team Doug? So it gets you on hold shelby
saucy thoughts, please.

Speaker 6 (05:14):
I am team Doug here, because I don't know how
that comes up, Like, how do you even want that
slip but also if I was on a date and
a guy had let that slip, I wouldn't want to
see them either, because it shows that you're not ready
to move on from your last relationship. I think that's
why are we on a date? Why are we here?
Why are you calling into a radio station to see why?

(05:34):
I don't want to see you?

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Guys? Like, what are we doing? Kayad to that too.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
If I was the dude, I'd be like, why am
I taking you out? If he's exactly he's getting the fun.

Speaker 6 (05:43):
Stuff, but okay, I don't think of it like that.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
But but yeah, why am I doing like the romantic stuff?
If he is related to those duties but still gets
the benefit of that.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
I don't disagree because it I just I don't think
that she's ready to be dating if she's still engaging
with her ex boyfriend that way.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
And also the fact that you're bringing up on a
first date is really odd to me. I'd also too
that I don't know the X.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
I would say negative exes tend to float around because
when they think you might be moving on, they'll swoop
back in. That guy could be easily trying to be like, listen,
I'm here still.

Speaker 6 (06:17):
Yeah, it just seems like if you still have that
person in your life, even though you're like, oh it's
been in your who cares?

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Why are you?

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Guys?

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Will hang out rose your thoughts.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
I think it shows her intentions in whatever it is
that they're doing. Like, she obviously hasn't let go from
the past, and she's not moving forward to take this
relationship seriously. So if his expectations are I am dating
to date you to eventually have something serious, that immediately
shuts it down.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
I think that's fair. The phones are blown up too.
Let me go in Germantown. It's the best, Like good morning.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Hi, good morning, what'd you want to say? Girl?

Speaker 2 (06:56):
So I am a team Doug like the others pretty
girls that I'm sure everything.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
You know, why seek.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Another relationship or even get onto an app to meet
someone new when you're still cleaning onto the past. Obviously
she's not ready to let go. I mean, you know,
as a girl, we clean onto a whole bunch of reasons,
and you know, it could be a personal reason. She's
having fun time with him for a reason, So it
could just be that that's something that she really likes.

(07:28):
But you know, if that's going to be the case,
don't go out, you know, don't be on a dating app,
don't call on a radio show like it's it doesn't
make sense, you know, and especially if this is something
that shouldn't just slip out.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
It's not something that you're like, oops, it just accidentally,
you know, happens, you know.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
I think that she intentionally had to say it because
maybe she know, she probably.

Speaker 4 (07:57):
Felt a little bit guilty and.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Was like, hey, maybe I should just you the full truth.
But again, why seek something, you know, if you're not
ready to.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Like go the past. Yes, I don't disagree with Isabella,
thank you for listening, to have a great day.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Right to her point two, I think if you're not
ready to go to the past, that's fine. Yeah, that's
your progue, if certainly, but don't drag somebody else.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
That's why are we here? Why are you upset? Like
you already have are having fun. Yeah, I'll be going
Laurel brend Doug and morning, good morning, doing well. Thank you.
What do you want to say?

Speaker 4 (08:31):
I was just gonna say kind of stimilar to everybody else,
like I'm paying Doug, I think, Yeah, I mean for
the guy to go out his way and cook you,
cook you a meal, And I don't know. I just
think some guys are willing to make it work. And
if you're still sleeping with your ex, it's just I
don't know, that's that's kind of crud and you're like
wasting everybody's time. Yeah, I still think she was in
the right for that.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I don't disagree, Brenda. Thank you for listening to have
a great day. Thank you by somebody texting too. She's
been hook up with the X a year. You've been
single for you, I guess I should have asked.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
How long they've been lingering feelings there, let's.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Go in Gaithersburg, Nadia, good morning, Hi, good morning. What
do you want to say with second day up date friend?

Speaker 3 (09:14):
She definitely sabotage herself.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yeah, I mean she didn't have to say that, even
though she wanted to be honest.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
I'm all for honesty.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
But if she really liked the guy and she saw
a future with him.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
And if she really wanted to like stop sleeping with
her ex, she.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
Could just not say anything.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Yeah you know, yeah, I'm gonna take a stab in
dark here. I think that you're the friend that people
only go to you if they want the real truth,
because you're gonna say it might hurt somebody's feelings.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Is that fair? Yeah, yeah, okay, that's that's a good
friend to have though. Absolutely. Now you thank you for listening,
Have a great day.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Of course you

Speaker 6 (09:54):
