Sonya and Mark have been dating for a little over a month after first meeting each other six weeks ago. Sonya tells us that things have been great so far, but she is getting weird vibes from Mark’s friend Heidi, who he was in a situationship with at one point. Sonya has tried bringing it up to Mark that she is concerned Heidi might be trying to get back with Mark, but asks for our help to see if anything is actually going on or not.

We call Mark pretending to send him a free bouquet of flowers and when we ask him who he wants them sent to, Mark asks if they can be sent to Heidi. Find out what’s really going on in this week’s War Of The Roses!

Speaker 1 (00:05):
We do war the Roses on interns John in your
Morning Show as a way to hopefully calm anxiety, which
seems counterintuitive, but there is no worse feeling than when
you think the person that you love, that you've given
your heart to is stepping out and doing something shady
and sometimes just kind of the black and white answer
of are they cheating are they not?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
That's what we do war the Roses Sonya, good morning, Hey,
good morning. So let's hot. Then you and Mark have
been together for how long?

Speaker 3 (00:34):
We've been together for about a month okay, but known
each other for about six weeks, right, okay? Yeah, and
we met through mutual friends Okay.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
And what about Mark kind of caught your eye?

Speaker 3 (00:47):
I mean he's good looking. I really liked how charming
he was. He just has a way with words. You
just feel safe around him.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Sure.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
I know we had talked off the year that you
not necessarily feel insecure, but one months and I said,
the best time you bore the rose is I. However,
think if you have a hunch there to scratch it,
what's the reason we're here? It sounds like it has
to do with his friend group.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Yeah, I just have this female intuition. He has this
friend group and he has some good people in it,
but one of the peoples named Heidi, and he was
he was very upfront about it that he had a
situationship with her in the past.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Yeah, he was honest.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Yeah, I'm glad that he was honest. I mean, he
told me that they used to hook up before. And
she's just one of those girls who likes to show
me that she's so close to him.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Okay, for example, possessive almost.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Like she does things that I just don't feel like, like,
what didn't they make me uncomfortable? She's texted me before,
like telling me news about his life that he didn't
even tell me yet.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
That's that's odd.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
And just to understand, Sonia, So the first time, when
did you first find out about his previous relationship with Heidi?
Was it like a hey, like just so you know
there's this person in the friend group, or was like
your first time going to meet her, this is what's
going on, or this's happened?

Speaker 3 (02:23):
You know? He was honest with me. So towards the
beginning of us dating he told me about her. I
would eventually you know he did from her.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
We do we know the last time they were together
like that.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
This was about six or so months ago.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Okay, And did he say or I guess, did you
ask him why they never tried to date or did
they try a date didn't work out?

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Was it purely just hooking up?

Speaker 3 (02:47):
As far as I know, it was pre eerily hooking up.
I didn't really want to get into it. Just it
makes me uncomfortable, So I didn't really ask.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
When you first started hanging out with the group as
a whole, did you feel like it was welcome or
did you feel like they were all team Heidi? And
who's this new person coming in?

Speaker 3 (03:05):
I'm doing pretty nice to me. I don't have an
issue with his other friends. Is something about her broke
me the wrong way?

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Yeah, I get that.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
It's almost like like she's the fly on the food
where she's just like, let you know, she's there almost
I kep kind of hovering around like, hey, just see
no guy.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
I knew him first.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Yeah, the texting is weird.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yeah, I agree, And I just I want to figure
out what's going on with No.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
I get that because obviously the plan is sted to
be a long term thing, and she's gonna be around
for a while. I'd rather know too, So let's do this.
We'll have sauce call from the flower shop, off from
the roses. They should go to you girlfriend of a month.
If they go to you, we'll put them on hold.
They don't, we'll find out what's going on.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
Okay, thank you.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
I wore the roses in less than three minutes. Swore
the roses internshown in your morning show, Sony. Let me
recap this quick. You and Mark been dating for about
a month, met through mutual friends, known each other about
six weeks. Every thing's been good. However, the positive side
is he did let you know that in his friend
group there's a girl named Sonya he used to have

(04:08):
a relationship with.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Sorry sorry you're Sonya grim Heidi.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
He used to have a situationship with that ended about
six months ago. He The positive side is he told
you about it. Negative side is she's a little bit
protective if you will, and likes to almost subtly flex
on you that she still is very close to him.
We'll text you like, hey, did you hear about Mark's
news when you hadn't heard anything yet.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
That's kind of where we're at.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Right Yeah, And you know, I even remember this time
at the beginning of our relationship where he went to
the beach with her and he didn't even invite me.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
So do they go solo?

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Well, he was supposed to go with his friends. His
friends ended up canceling, but she ended up going with him.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Yeah, so they went solo.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
Yeah, solo.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Did they go for the day or they stay there
for like the weekend?

Speaker 3 (05:06):
It was for the day, but I mean I didn't
see him, he didn't invite me all day.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
That's weird because I wouldn't go to the beach with
a friend who's a girl.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
And you guys are exclusive right, like it?

Speaker 6 (05:16):
Because it's a very very fast you know, you guys
have only known each other six weeks to you guys.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Like dtr like define the relationship.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Yeah, we are exclusive.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
At this point, gotcha? Okay, so let's do this.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
I do think this is a unique situation where again,
it's very positive he told you this is what's happened. However,
if you have that gut feeling he planned being with
him for a while, say to assume she's probably gonna
be in the friend group for a while. So it's
like I would rather know a month in than ye
sit here six months later, have the same feelings. So well,
sauce call from the flower company, off from the roses.

(05:49):
They should go to you girlfriend. If they go to you,
we'll put them on hold. If they go to somebody else,
we'll find out what's up.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Okay, okay, great?

Speaker 2 (05:57):
One second each fore? Yeah, who is a kind of time?

Speaker 5 (06:03):
It's interesting.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Hi, I'm calling from Mark.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
Speaking.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Hi.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
My name is Nora.

Speaker 6 (06:13):
I'm calling you from a new local flower shop. We're
called y Mess Flowers Triumphs New Marketing, where we're offering
a local person a free bouquet of a dozen red roses,
just hoping to get our product out there. No credit
card infos needed. We're not gonna, you know, charge you
or anything. It's totally free. So who do you want
to send them to?

Speaker 5 (06:31):
That's that's kind of weird. How did you? How did
you get my number for this?

Speaker 6 (06:35):
Well, so like Google business sends us like a list
of this zip code and you're just on it.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
I'm gonna be honest.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
I have been trying to just call men specifically hoping
that they'll have somebody they want to send the flowers to.
We're just trying to get our flowers out there in
person so that you know you come back to us.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
And it's right now. It's our slow season.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
Holidays are coming up though, so we want to be
your go to flower shop. My parents has opened this
a few months ago. All right, sure, good, thank you
supporting your local economy.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
We love it so.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
Uh, these are a dozen red roses, so I would
I would say that they are romantic, although we've had
people send them to their mom before. But can I
get a name of who you want to send them to?

Speaker 5 (07:16):
Sure, it's going to be Heidi.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
Uh so what did she to you? Like? Your your
friend girlfriend?

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (07:22):
Wife, sister?

Speaker 5 (07:24):
I don't Yeah, she's she's just someone special.

Speaker 6 (07:29):
Just because I'm trying to make like a little profile
in case you do you want to come back so
that we can. We just want to keep it like
very local, like oh what's up?

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Like Mark? How's Heidier? Someone special?

Speaker 5 (07:41):
She's just a romantic partner.

Speaker 6 (07:43):
Romantic partner like like that church. Sure, no one like
puts labels on anything these days. I get it.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
And what do you want the car to? Station's R
typical little flower card?

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (07:54):
Sure it can say.

Speaker 7 (07:59):
Uh, I don't know how it'll end, but boy, would
a ride and then you know, can have a little
put like an M at the end with like a
heart around it.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
I'm Mark, what do you mean?

Speaker 6 (08:13):
Like? Who knows?

Speaker 3 (08:15):
What does that mean?

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Damn?

Speaker 4 (08:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (08:19):
What?

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Yeah, that's what I thought Mark, before we go further,
I think the dump contact. My name's interned, John, that's
a sauce and Rose that's your girlfriend Sonia. We're doing
a war of the Roses in the show. And he
lets you know that. Who knows how what's gonna end?

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Mark? And enjoying what ride?

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Ryan?

Speaker 5 (08:36):
I don't this is pretty invasive, and I don't. I
don't exactly know what's happening.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Okay, so your girlfriend Sonia thought something was up with
your friend Heidi, who you says are romantic partner.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Can I see why that might be an issue?

Speaker 5 (08:50):
No? But you know what do you mean? Know? I
just think whatever this is, you guys are misconstruting the facts, and.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
So what way hold on?

Speaker 5 (09:01):
Hold on?

Speaker 1 (09:01):
What's actually misconstruting? How are we misconstruting that you say
Heidi's romantic partner?

Speaker 2 (09:06):
How are we misinterpreting that? Just why not?

Speaker 4 (09:08):
I was an asking thing?

Speaker 1 (09:10):
I don't need to tell you, Sonya do you do
you know the answer, Sonya?

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Everything is no like, no way.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
You can justify it, Sony kay, act as your proxy
and asked questions in.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Your behalf.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Whatever.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
So Mark, So my client Sony wants to know how
are we misconstruting how Heidi's romantic partners?

Speaker 2 (09:33):
So we understand break it down for us?

Speaker 4 (09:36):
No, okay, Okay, you're a man of a few words.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
And next question, you've enjoy the ride, we'll see how
what ends your friendship.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Your relationship?

Speaker 7 (09:48):
You don't need to be a part of this, radio man,
I don't need to tell you.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
In fact, In fact, I I just feel like, why
wouldn't you want to tell Sonya like, you know, since
she's obviously upset, she like some answers. You clearly are
hooking up with your friends, still lying.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
I don't need to tell you, radio lady.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Okay, I feel like this is how people get you know,
do you like?

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Do you think you tell your girlfriend? Do you think
she is?

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (10:13):
I don't Yeah, I'm waiting stupid.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
It is, Oh my god, how old are you? Okay,
so he's an avoidant, so.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
You you have no comment?

Speaker 3 (10:23):
No, clearly like all right.

Speaker 6 (10:26):
Well, at least you only wasted six six weeks of
your life, not six years. You know it could be worse,
So sonya, I say, just block him. Not worth it.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
And also for the record, her breath smells like hot
dog my God.

Speaker 5 (10:41):
