Holly and Ethan have been dating for a little over four months after first meeting on a dating app. Holly tells us things have been great for the most part, but she tells us that she knows Ethan was a “player” before they started dating, but some of her friends told her that they still see Ethan on Bumble. Holly wanted to see if Ethan still had the app and even though he didn’t, he did have a hidden photo album of screenshots from Bumble.

We call Ethan pretending to work for Bumble’s Customer Support and when we ask Ethan about his experience on the app, he admits more than we originally thought. Find out what’s really going on in this week’s War Of The Roses!

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Four of the Rosies on intern John in your morning show,
dare I say it's our service to you? You think
the person you're with a shooting could be something you've seen,
maybe a friend saw. Just sur vibe. We try to
dig our claws in, rip off that band aid and
see what's going on. Holly, good morning, good morning. Hey,
I got your email. Let's get into this. You and

(00:28):
Ethan have been together? How long? Four and a half
months or and a half months? Okay? And you guys
first met how or guess where?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
We met on bubble okay, the app?

Speaker 1 (00:39):
And so how long from meeting on the app to
see each other in person for a first date?

Speaker 3 (00:46):
It was an okay?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Oh a month of talking on the app before you
guys got the first date?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah we were, I mean, but we both work a lot.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Okay, gotcha?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Yep?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
And then so how long from the first date to
being official or boy friend? Girlfriend? Yours your mind? All
that stuff like the third date?

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Actually, because who hit it off?

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Okay? Okay, so we're here doing War of the Roses now.
In your email you mentioned that before you guys started dating,
you know, Ethan was a bit of a player. Is
that fair?

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Okay. Now, are you getting information from like just knowing
him from things he's told you, things other people have
told you.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Yeah. You our friend group for sure considered a player.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Okay. Have any of your friends and him like been together.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
There's I mean there's been a sporting no.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Okay, yeah, okay, And so the reason we're doing yeah, okay,
War of the Roses is you've had people reach out
to you, like recently saying they've seen him on dating apps. Correct, yes, okay,
people we trust. I'm assuming.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah, I didn't like screenshots or anything.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Yeah, there's this hidden folder in his phone that I found.
I was I was going through his phone. I feel
so guilty about it because it's like, you're not supposed
to do that, but I just felt like in my
gut there was something going on, and so I looked
in there and I found some photos of these girls
on bumble. He has tons of them, like these screenshots.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Like that's weird. So you had a feeling. You go
through his phone, you go to his photos hidden album,
there's the screenshots. Did you see the actual app on
his phone or did he like hide the app? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Well no, he hides it. I'm like in a deep
folder you know how you Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Okay, search?

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Yeah, that's true. Okay. So you find the album and
has the screenshots?

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Are they recent? Could they be older photos?

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:53):
And and and I don't, I mean, how am I
going to bring this up?

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Like?

Speaker 1 (02:59):
I mean, did you? I mean the question did you
ask them about? Or no?

Speaker 3 (03:04):
No I haven't.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
That's why I called you.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Okay, that's fair. So let's do this, silly mate. Instead
of calling Flowers, I'll call from Bumble's like customer service
and all this having to do like a review on
our service. I think that's fair. Okay? Is that cool?

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Holly? Yes?

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I will do this in less than three minutes. An
intern Johnny morn Show wore the rosies on intern John
in your morning show. Holly, I'm gonna recap this quick.
You and Ethan matched on Bumble a couple of months ago.
It took you, guys, about a month to go on
your first date. After that though, about three dates to
be boyfriend and girlfriend in total have been together about
four and a half months. Is that fair?

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Okay? Do you think the month of courtship on the
app made you guys closer? Because most folks I feel
like wouldn't wait that long, they would have moved on.
Do you think like talking made it a little bit
easier to fall for each other get to know each other? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Absolutely, we were ready. We were ready to together.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Okay. And whose idea was it for you guys to
be boyfriend and girlfriend?

Speaker 3 (04:07):
It is actually okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Because I just want to make sure we had the
i'm your boyfriend, you're my girlfriend talk. We're not seeing anybody.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Else to find the relationship.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Yeah, yeah, he was like, let's do this, okay.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
And you mentioned that you knew that Ethan was a
bit of a player before you guys started dating. You
had some folks reach out saying, hey, we've seen him
still on dating apps, which kind of got you thinking.
He went through his phone, didn't find anything outwardly, but
went to the hidden album and his photos, where there
are a plethora of screenshots of various women from Bumble,
all taken recently. Fair, yes, yes, okay, which that is

(04:41):
odcust I don't know why you'd take a screen shot
somebody's profile unless it was to show your buddies, like
hey look at this.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Hey look who I'm going to go out with.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
But even so that is kind of weird.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Odd.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Have you guys, over the course of the last couple
of months, are you guys hanging him out the same amount?
Has he been harder to hang out with He's like,
he's awesome. Busier at work or anything like that.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Yeah, for sure, some busier at work. And I'm like,
if you really be being busy at work, especially after
finding these photos.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Yeah, okay, so I guess at this point then, assuming
that he has Bumble, I mean, what percent do you
think he's guilty.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
I think he is guilty, but I just need to
know for sure.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Okay, Okay, let's do track him on instead of calling
the flowers, let me call from Bumbles like headquarters to
get some of my customer research. I think we'll do
it that way, Yes, because if he's not in the app,
like I haven't done the app in five.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Months, whatever this is, he'll give you some more info.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Yeah, we'll see. I call him for Ethan Pleasethan. This
is Nathaniel calling from Bumble headquarters. How are you. I'm good, Hey,

(06:02):
do you have a quick second for me? We're doing
some customer research. You're at a fantastic prize with at
the end. But you, if I may be so honest,
popped up as one of my most right swipe users
in your area. So I was hoping this. You get
a couple of months of your time real quick to
get your overall experience, and I promise will make it
worth your time. Okay, Okay, so I get a prize.
Apparently you are the prize brother.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
I know that's right.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
What's going on, man?

Speaker 3 (06:26):
What you need?

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Okay? So real quick? How long have you been on
the app?

Speaker 4 (06:32):
On and off?

Speaker 5 (06:33):
Man?

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Like for almost like a year?

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Maybe?

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Okay? How many times a week do you think you
go on and check?

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Depends on like my availability. I'm on it every now
and there, not not you know too much, but it
every now and then.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
I'm there your availability as like like work schedule or
just like the day gets away from.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
You or a little bit of both.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
I found myself, you know, browsing from from time to time,
like maybe once twice a day.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Okay, And so I want to dig in your personal
profile here. But if you had to guess, like, how
many matches do you think you've had? Because all I
can see is are one of the top ones in
the area. But how many matches. Do you think you've
had the last month?

Speaker 4 (07:16):
Oh, man, I I mean it's not it's it's not
too many times. I don't go on there.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Don't see a lot of matches.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
You know, I'm agree with them and of degree with you. Man,
I have a.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Prize, Yeah, for sure, baby, absolutely, And those of those matches,
what percent do you meet in person? And what percent
do you guys get like intimate? I'm asking, Oh, I don't.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
I don't try to, you know, meet you right here
for like a long term anything like this is just
smashing pass, bro smashing psychonic.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, So you you're using bumble in
your words of smashing pass. That's for you. It's more
of a hookup thing.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Yeah, yeah, I'm not.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
I'm not.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
It's not nothing serious for me at all.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Are you me? I thought you, Yeah, it's me. You've
been doing this the whole time we've been together.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Sounds like it.

Speaker 5 (08:07):
Yeah, smashing past crazy.

Speaker 1 (08:12):

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero.
