Kendall and Mitch have been dating for a little over four months after being coworkers for a year. Kendall tells us that things started off casual as Mitch had just got out of a relationship, but things have been great for the most part. However, the other day Mitch sent Kendall a picture of someone’s cat that she has never seen before. When Kendall did some digging she found out that the cat actually belonged to Mitch’s ex and ever since then Mitch has been trying to bury the picture with multiple texts.

We call Mitch pretending to offer him a free bouquet of flowers and when we ask him who he wants them sent to, Mitch asks if they can be sent to someone named Claire. Find out what’s really going on in this week’s War Of The Roses!

Speaker 1 (00:05):
War of the Roses on Interns John in your Morning show.
There is no worse feeling than being in what you
think is a healthy, committed relationship and then getting suspicion
that sum things up the person you trust with your
heart is maybe being a little bit shady.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
So I would do War of the Roses. Kendall, good morning.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
I don't want to judge, but just based on the
h from the email, it seems like you and Mitch
have been of a murky start.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
So you two have been officially dating for how long?

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Just over four months?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (00:38):
But we've known each other for a year or so
we were together okay?

Speaker 1 (00:42):
So did you start working at his place or he
started working on your place?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
She started where I work?

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (00:50):
And so why then the weight from me? We've been
dating four months, but known them for a year those
eight months prior? Why did we not start dating then?

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Well, he was just coming off a long term relationship
they broke up about I don't know, six months ago,
six months before we started dating, right, and so that
doesn't work out?

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Wait?

Speaker 5 (01:17):
What?

Speaker 6 (01:18):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:19):
So he I wasn't the first girl he dated after
they broke up. I wasn't far down.

Speaker 7 (01:26):
The lists dated and then you guys started seeing each
other and then you made it official, right, Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Okay, I do want to mention that you mentioned that
before you guys were official, you were casually.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Kind of hanging. So how how long was that process?

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Well, I don't know. We we we've been friends since
he started working at the office about four months. Four
months or so?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Wait wait together?

Speaker 1 (01:56):
But before yeah, but before you guys were together though,
were you? Were you guys not hooking up before that? Okay?
All right, So the reason we're here, so the reason
we're doing one of the Rose is what did he
send you on your phone that made you think something's up?

Speaker 3 (02:14):
This is gonna sound so stupid. A sticker of a cat?

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Okay, so if if so, if you don't have an
iPhone on iPhone so you can take I could take
a photo of Sauce, for instance, and then hold down
a button basically and make it my own little emoji
and my keyboard, so I could send a photo of
Sauce no background to Rose and see a smiley face.
He sent you one of those of a cat? Does

(02:39):
he own a cat?

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Noither? No cat? A cat?

Speaker 2 (02:46):
The problem?

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, so you did you did some digging found out
it's his ex's cat.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
What I was noticing was it could be an accident, right, Sure,
I don't know your stickers, but you notice or mentioned
after he sent it, he sent like ten other texts
boom boom, boom, boom boom, almost like to move up
the fact that he sent that.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
It just felt like he was trying to cover it up,
like he'd the cat picked and then was like distractor, distractor. Yeah,
so that's what caught my attention, Like I wouldn't have
done okay, cat sticker, like.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
I still scrolled up and I saw the cat.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Yeah, it is awesome, saying yeah yeah.

Speaker 7 (03:25):
And if it was, if you actually still had the
cat on your thing, why wouldn't you say something like
all my stickers are all of my friend's dogs, which
sounds really weird and just weird pictures of you, John,
I know.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
So let's do this.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Kendall Love Sauce call from the flower company, off from
the roses. They should go to you girlfriend in four
months if they do move on. If not, find out
what's going on.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Okay, okay, sounds good.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Thank you wore.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
The roses in just every two minutes on into wore
the Roses on intern John in your morning show, Kenda,
let me recap this quick. You and Mitch been together
about four months, being co workers about a year. You guys,
thing's been going well. However, the kind of the main
reason we're here. He sends you a sticker on his phone.
If you don't have an iPhone, you can take any photo,

(04:08):
basically make it an emoji and send somebody.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
He sent one of a cat.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
You did some research realized the cat belongs to his
ex girlfriend, who he dated a couple of people before you.
So you had mentioned that when he started working at
your job, he had just didn't have a long term relationship,
and that he dated other people before you.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Do you know how many other people that were before you?

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Oh? I don't one or two casual dates or group things.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Out there and any any other coworkers? No? Okay? Do
people at work know you guys are together?

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Yes, but we're in very different departments.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Okay, Okay, So how often if he didn't go out
of your way to do so, how often a week
would you see him at work?

Speaker 7 (04:54):
That?

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Does that make sense?

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Gosh, I'd have to try.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
I have to try, Okay, And your friends and family met,
they approved that.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Yeah, I mean, everything is fine. And then this weird
chat thing. I don't know.

Speaker 7 (05:07):
Okay, did you just know that he had like that
his axe had a cat or you.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
Just had creeped on her when you when you guys met.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
And no, no, I didn't creep. Oh that sounds awful.

Speaker 7 (05:19):
Sorry face, you were your p I did some absolutely.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Okay, So let's do this kind of love sauce. Call
from the flower company, offer mixed the roses. They should
go to you girl from the four months. Certainly, if
they do, we put them on hold. See what you
want to do. If they go to somebody else, we'll
get some answers for you.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Okay, okay. One second, the problem that you have a
lot of stickers of me?

Speaker 6 (05:48):
Okay, okay, Hello, Hi, I'm calling for Mitch. Hi.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Who is this?

Speaker 7 (06:09):
Hi? I am Alex. I'm calling you from YMS Flowers.
We're a new flower shop trying out some new marketing.
So we're trying to offer locals once a week a
free bouquet of a dozen red roses. And we actually
came across your info today, so no credit card info
is necessary. We just want to get our product out
there in the community hopefully come back to us.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
So just need to get the name of who you
want to send.

Speaker 6 (06:28):
Them to.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
Be sure this isn't a scam call. There's a lot
of scam calls.

Speaker 7 (06:34):
I did not say this isn't a scam call, but
is not a scam call. We're just are trying out
new marketing instead of you know, doing like Instagram ads,
because you're just going to keep you know, clicking through it,
and this you'll have the actual product. It's free, it's
in person. Hopefully you're saying them locally though, and then
you'll come back to us. It's just our slow season.
My mom and dad just opened the shop a few
months ago, so we're just trying to get everybody, you know,

(06:55):
on board with the new flower shops that you know,
when the holidays get here, you love us and you're
going to My mom makes a beautiful bouquet.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
That's as cool I think.

Speaker 7 (07:06):
I never i'd want to send them.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
To I agree.

Speaker 7 (07:09):
So I'm just gonna make you a little file in
case you do come back and I can be like, oh, Mitch,
Charles whatever you know.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
All right? So they are red roses.

Speaker 7 (07:16):
I don't know if I mentioned that, and let me
get a name for who you want to send them to.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
Claire Claire like.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Like Claire Bear if you want sure, I.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
Was gonna do Claire as like the store.

Speaker 6 (07:30):
Is that so?

Speaker 5 (07:30):
I don't know? And then what is she to you?

Speaker 7 (07:34):
Like?

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Girlfriend, friend, light part, somebody from my past who I'm
hoping to reconnect.

Speaker 7 (07:41):
With, Casper, just okay, okay, someone from your past? Yeah, okay,
I'm just gonna put friend. Sorry, I just don't have
that option, you know. I guess I could put other,
you know, And then what do you want the card
to say? It's just her typical little flower card.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
Let's just keep it simple.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Be could say I know one day we'll meet again.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
That's a little ominous.

Speaker 6 (08:04):
Is she dead?

Speaker 5 (08:05):
I'm sorry she passed away. I'm sorry.

Speaker 6 (08:07):
I don't know why.

Speaker 7 (08:08):
I'm like, I sound like I'm gonna laugh, but I'm not.
This just got so awkward because like the first thing
was someone from your past, and then I said Casper,
and you're telling me, no.

Speaker 6 (08:16):
This is just like an ex who I still kind
of have feelings for.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
I don't know. I was just hoping someday that we
get to meet again, because I didn't like the way
that it ended.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
Have you tried you just like, like, is it to
give you a cute?

Speaker 6 (08:31):
You think?

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Like serendipitous.

Speaker 7 (08:34):
Plan?

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Mitch? Hey, sorry your plan to hook up with? Clear?

Speaker 7 (08:41):
Hi?

Speaker 3 (08:42):
This voice sounds.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Real quick before I go further? Yeah, yeah, yeah, all.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Right, before we maybe before we get contact. Hi, my
name's interned John. That sauce, that's Rose. That is your girlfriend, Kendall.
Who's Claire?

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Why? Why are you saying that Rose? And why are
you trying to reconnect with her?

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Yeah? About Claire?

Speaker 5 (09:11):
Well?

Speaker 7 (09:11):
He said, God, yeah, I don't want to know about
it personally, but I would like to know he.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Knows it pretty well or has fond memories of it.

Speaker 6 (09:24):
What the hell?

Speaker 7 (09:25):
How are they recently reconnected? Why are you only sending
your ex girl from flowers?

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Why?

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Mitch?

Speaker 6 (09:32):
I just I miss her?

Speaker 8 (09:34):
I don't know, but you don't you don't think that's
weird to be in a yeah, a long term relationship
with coworker, Yeah, and then send roses to an ex
girlfriend because you miss her, Like.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
You don't see that that's wrong? Like that's basically cheating
everyone else? How is it not cheating the emotional?

Speaker 4 (10:01):
Is that?

Speaker 7 (10:01):
Like?

Speaker 3 (10:02):
I went and spend any time with her, kiss her
or anything like that.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
That I know.

Speaker 7 (10:08):
Okay, exactly you're even sending your ex flowers is such
a big red flag that you you might.

Speaker 5 (10:13):
Be sneaking around. But I don't even think you know
what planet your own. Right now, I'm going to say that.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
I'm not.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Mitch.

Speaker 6 (10:23):
What are you doing?

Speaker 2 (10:25):
We waste your time?

Speaker 6 (10:26):
You know what? We believe.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
I don't even know what to stay to us.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Do you work today?

Speaker 7 (10:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:34):
