Your quick hit on gaming news reviews and.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
A little chaos as Pop Pop tries gaming.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Bit update with Jayden's starts.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Now legend, What's up, brother, man, how you doing.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
I'm doing good.

Speaker 5 (02:39):
Have you been.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
I haven't seen you in forever.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
I haven't seen you in forever either. I'm doing great, man.

Speaker 7 (02:43):
Well that's good to hear. Also, I I you said
if I had anything Christmas, and I was thinking about it.
I was like, dude, I don't even know a single
Christmas video game.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
I looked it up.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
There's not any.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
What I was trying to say is like, you know,
as a parents sometimes want to surprise their kids, but
yet they don't understand or don't really know what's kind
of hot out.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
There in the in the gaming world.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
So what I was saying is like just a couple
of suggestions for parents who may be a little lost
with their gaming kids, like maybe a piece of hardware,
a headset upgrade, or something like that, you know, an
idea of that nature, something that would blow the kid's
mind that their parents gave them something so cool.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Yeah, well I can help out with that one.

Speaker 7 (03:20):
I can help out with that, no problem, by all
your kids arc Raators, and they'll be happy and you
won't have to deal with them for like three months.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
They'll be adaptive.

Speaker 7 (03:29):
Yeah, a brand new game, it's been out for it's
two three months. Last week you weren't here. We went
through the Game Awards. It's been you've been out for
two months, and it's already winning Game Game Awards.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (03:40):
Really, Like, didn't it almost sweep all the categories?

Speaker 4 (03:43):
No, that was a expedition thirty three.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Yeah, that's the one that everybody I mean yeah, Ross.

Speaker 7 (03:48):
Said, yeah, he said I was gonna sweep everything, and
they did. They went nine for thirteen. I think it
was really dude.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
So what's this arc Graator thing about? Is it a
single shooter kind of thing you.

Speaker 7 (03:58):
Can do solos, duos, trios. Me and my buddies get
on it and you just go around. There's like crazy
drones that are just it's insane. I don't know how
to describe it. These drones adapt to how you play,
They adapt to how everyone in the lobby plays. They
got real like AI in these drones.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
It's kind of wild.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
So in an online game where your buddies are playing
all different locations, right, you're all just logging into play,
do you kind of have a set thing like you know, hey,
you know at nine o'clock or ten o'clock or whenever
that you know, you guys are going to meet up
online to play a game.

Speaker 7 (04:32):
Depends me and my Okay, so see some of my buddies,
me and them, we do Monday, Saturdays, Thursdays eight o'clock
every week, and then my other buddies just randomly at midnight,
like you know, you want to hop on and I'm
like yeah, So it just depends on the friend group.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
How long is the average session for you?

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (04:49):
God, good question. A couple hours?

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Yeah, it really just depends why I have going on.

Speaker 7 (04:54):
If like, if I have all day to myself, no work,
no nothing, I'm I won't leave my chair, just.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Stay there old eggs. Oh yeah, you do you think
has more telephone screen time? You or Jayden?

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Here?

Speaker 2 (05:06):
In other words, being with my phone or him with
his PC. No, you were your phone or him with
this phone?

Speaker 5 (05:10):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Are you playing your phone?

Speaker 5 (05:12):
Not?

Speaker 4 (05:12):
You probably beat me on the phone.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
That That's why I'm wondering. I think he plays probably
more online. But what screen time would be?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
How do I do that again?

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Go into your settings and look up screen time.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
You don't be an ass that he's a twenty twenty
year old approaching twenty one in the In the beginning
of next year.

Speaker 7 (05:33):
Right, Uh yeah, my uh my daily averages eleven eleven hours.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Oh my god, your daily average of use on your
phone is eleven hours. Oh oh oh you got Oh,
I got you.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
And I'm embarrassed at mine. I am fully embarrassed. His
would be way on your that.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
But you remember, like your.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Usage includes anytime you use it for like normal stuff, right,
It doesn't have to be like when you use it
it's it's for calling and texting and everything.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yeah, for texting.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
So like I'm texting Jayden's dad right now, and I'm saying,
you need to check on your son four hours fifty
four minutes for.

Speaker 7 (06:10):
Me, man, I'm actually kind of man, my most used
app is Instagram with thirty one hours and fifty six minutes,
And I kind of got to rethink a little bit.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Yeah, I've never looked at this before.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
What do you get that?

Speaker 4 (06:25):
I don't even want to go look at my contests now?
I'm concerned.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
All right, what do you got versus week bit book?

Speaker 7 (06:31):
There's the Winter PC sale on Steam, Epic Games. There's
a bunch of games on sale. I'll run through a
couple of them. Do them The Dark Ages fifty percent
off Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater forty percent off, Resident
Evil four sixty six percent off.

Speaker 4 (06:45):
It's a little weird ARTI sendage.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Are these online or like a game stop or where
do you find these deals?

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Steaming epic games?

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Oh so okay, there you Yeah.

Speaker 7 (06:53):
Yeah, Cyberpunk if you haven't played Cyberpunk, it's the greatest
game of all time, thirty percent off right now, you
can get it for twenty ninety nine.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Comes with all the DC's worth it absolutely worth it.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
That's cool.

Speaker 7 (07:03):
Fallout four comes with all the DCS. And Fallout four
is an okay game, but sixteen dollars you can't beat it,
and they still update the game like twelve years later.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
You watch them Fallout on Amazon Prime.

Speaker 7 (07:14):
So I no, I still have not watched it. It
does have a ninety seven percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
My wife started watching it yesterday. Came with a friend.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
She went over to hang out and have dinner the
friends watching it. She came back and said, we gotta
watch Fallout. It's pretty bad ass.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
So they just released Like, I just watched the first
episode of season two. So you start in the beginning, yeah,
season one, That's what I meant by the beginning yeah, yeah,
very cool.

Speaker 7 (07:38):
Yeah, they're in New Vegas season two, and New Vegas
is my favorite Fallout game, so I do have to
watch season one just so I can see your real
life New Vegas. I am pretty excited for this, and
the reviews are really good, like the show's good.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Where was I?

Speaker 5 (07:54):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (07:54):
Yes, yes, Fallout four fifteen dollars. You can't beat it,
good dolcs.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
That's a great game, Fallout four. Yeah, yeah, I knew I.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
New Vegas is so good.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
I've never played New Vegas. Fallout four was my favorite game,
you know, until I played Red Dead two.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Try New Vegas.

Speaker 7 (08:11):
I mean it doesn't hold up graphic wise anymore, but
story wise it's phenomenal. I don't know how much graphics
mean to you. Yeah, Warhammer Space Marine two they mean everything. Okay,
thank god? Space Marine two is? It came out last year,
relatively new. You can get it for sixty percent off
right now, twenty four bucks. It's a fun, brainless game.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
It was okay, yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Did you hear about the somebody just texting and reminded
me of this story? Did you hear about the ninety
plus year old woman who won the Tecan Concert or
the techan.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Tournament.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
No, no way, Yeah, I guess over in Japan they
have this thing when it's a senior league and a
ninety two year old grandmother beat a seventy five year
old grandfather to win a tech and eight tournament in Japan.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
That's all.

Speaker 7 (08:56):
I got to find a stream or something of this.
That's insane. Yeah, that's gonna be me. I'm gaming until
I'm dead night. Absolutely, I love that grandmother. I told
you guys about the new Star Wars game coming out.
You weren't here, so you remember this was probably about
a month ago. I told you about the Star Wars
game I was really excited for.

Speaker 5 (09:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (09:14):
Yeah, is the reason I got the PlayStation and got canceled. Well,
at the Game Awards they released the trailer. It wasn't
for the game. They're repurposing it into like a sequel
prequel type thing, and it's not coming out till twenty thirty.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Oh damn, Well, that's yanking the rug you think they
would learn from. Yeah, here's the thing. Pausing it for
six months is one thing, but got the money for
like five years.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Yeah, and the four years.

Speaker 7 (09:41):
They announced Night of their Old Republic about four years
ago so at this point we're waiting what twelve years.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
It's just what gamers deal with all the time.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
For these companies could come continually effing with their feelings
about these releases.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
But yes, this is like every time you come on,
it's another.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
One of these game companies either stalling or pausing or
canceling the development of these games altogether.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (10:03):
That it's the story of my life. It's a story
of everyone who loves video games life. Ever, it's so
many games get canceled and then they you see them
years later because people leak them and stuff like that,
and it's like, wow, this game looks great, why doesn't
this come out? Wow, it's been happening. But it's not
even like a recent thing though. It's been happening forever,
Like since the early two thousands. The Daredevil game got canceled,

(10:25):
Like you can go back on and off.

Speaker 6 (10:27):
Yeah, yeah, the early two thousand. Hey, I mean, let
me stop, let me stop, Yeah, apologize for it, just
let me know.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Yeah, you remember that devil when your insurance rates trumps Yeah, yeah,
I remember that for sure.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
We've been working in this building, in this studio since
before he was born.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
Yeah, think about that. For a second.

Speaker 6 (10:48):
No, no, actually, okay, well because you were born two
thousand and five, right, yes, oh.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Get the blank out of my face. Yeah, I mean
the year I got married for the second time. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (11:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Oh, his dad and I used to share a program
and the password was jaden O five and now I
know why.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Oh wow, yeah, now I'm on the show. Look at that. Yeah,
full circle. Yeah, this is Halloween related. This isn't really Christmas.

Speaker 7 (11:21):
So the new Michaels Myers games coming out, very excited
for it, but Michael Myers was already in Dead by Daylight.
Dead by Daylight is basically the Michael Myers game, just
it's already out.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
So they're just taking it all the way.

Speaker 7 (11:33):
They're taking the doc from everyone, they're taking the map
from everyone, and they're saying, we can't we can't let
you guys play with this anymore. New Michael Myers games
coming out, So by January nineteenth, all DLC you paid
for will be gone from the game, including anything like
not all DC but only everything including Michael Myers.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Help me up with DLC downloadable context add ons.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
You can pay for it, so you play a game
and then they like like grand Theft Auto is a
good one where they it's like they do updates and
then they'll add a new feature to it something. So
it makes the game dynamic and evolving. Yeah, and Michael Myers.
It's not the Friday of the Thirteenth game, it's just
Michael Myers.

Speaker 7 (12:14):
So Dead by Daylight is this game where you could
pick different killers and their survivors running around the map.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Got it, and they just they have they have they have.

Speaker 7 (12:22):
I forgot who they have. They have a bunch of
people from different franchise. Freddy and they have fred I'm
sure they have Freddy.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
You can go down through Chucky. They actually do they have.
He's like two feet tall. He's running around the map.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
That is that would be horrified.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
It's terrified. It's so funny. At the same time, though,
you see a little wattle as you're trying to run away. Yeah,
but they're taking away everything. Michael Myers. They said, we
don't care how much money you spend. You know, you
don't have it. We don't have it, No one has it.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
So how crazy.

Speaker 7 (12:54):
Yeah, and Sony bought ownership to the Peanuts franchise, so
they now own characters like Charlie Brown and Snoopy.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
I don't know what Sony's gonna do with that.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
I don't either, because that's kind of timed out, like
not even young young young kids know anything about Peanuts anymore.
Like Snoopy and Charlie Brown are like in my world
in Jack's world.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
But is am I wrong?

Speaker 3 (13:14):
That's how you reset and introduce to a new audience,
and then, you know, then the old content feeds into
that because now they'll become aware, they'll enter it from
a different point through video games as opposed to you
and I when we saw you know, the holiday specials.

Speaker 7 (13:30):
Wow, well, I feel like you don't even have to
touch the franchise. Really, it's still gonna sell. You see
all the Snoopy stuff they could they could just buy
it for passive income and the more characters.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
I think, I think posthumously, isn't that franchise one of
the most one of the richest franchises after the death
of the creator Charles Schultz? I think, I think is
the State is one of the most expensive out there.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Ye value.

Speaker 7 (13:51):
You can go into any store right now and find
something Snoopy or Charlie Brown. So if I'm Sony, I'm
looking at this and I'm like, oh, this is more
passive income.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
Why would I not buy this?

Speaker 1 (14:00):
And I'm guessing the price probably wasn't that bad. I
mean again, that franchise of Peanuts is relatively old.

Speaker 7 (14:05):
Yeah, I couldn't find a price anywhere. But yeah, yeah,
bad companies. They're going to buy out everyone. Half Life
three has been rumored for the last couple months. We
thought we'd see something at the Game Awards, and nothing
came out with the Game Awards. So the new rumor
is it's going to be launching with the Steam Machine,
the brand new Steam console PC thing.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Okay, so who knows.

Speaker 7 (14:24):
Half Life three has been rumored for like fifteen years,
but they haven't really been like this serious until now.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
So I don't know. I don't trust anything that comes
from Valve.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
Just from the outside looking in, it seems like as
they start developing these games, they pay attention to what
really trends and then kind of make their decision on
whether or they're going to finish it based on whether
they think it'll sell, like halfway through the development. It
seems like that to me, Like that every time you
say it seems like they got three years into it
and they're like, oh, well, you know, this other company's
already got one of these things that looks exactly like this.
So you know, if we continue on and pour more

(14:56):
money into this, these guys already have that kind of cornered,
So why should we move But because it seems like
it happens a lot.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
Yeah, and that's the problem with gaming.

Speaker 7 (15:03):
All these other companies like, oh, they put another trip
Away title out, it's made such and such dollars, so
they rush and cut corners to make their game come
out faster, and then it's got awful wow, and then
it's not even halfway decent and until a year because
they have to spend so much time updating it, you
don't make money because everyone knows it sucks.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Unbelievable. Man, that's crazy, and it.

Speaker 7 (15:22):
Happens about eighty times a year. But that's video eighty four.
It's been a really slow week for video games. Everything's
just really on sale. Not much game is going on,
the game awards just happens, So.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
It's a time of a year. People now have made
their decisions to what they're going to buy, and then
that's it.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Is there plenty of volume out there, like will you
run out?

Speaker 1 (15:43):
I mean, is there a chance that you won't get
your hands on one of these games because of just
production or are there plenty of them out there.

Speaker 7 (15:48):
You can It's so it's so easy even if you
can't find it on disc. I guess why go digital?
Everything's on digital nowadays. There is one thing that passed
my eye. So you're playing high on Life right now?

Speaker 2 (15:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (15:59):
Yeah, Well they have a sequel coming out there if
you Weary thirteenth, I had no it was this recent,
So you gotta finish this game soon.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
I gotta get during this break.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
I'm gonna do a lot more of that because I
have my console at the point where I actually gonna
hear it now, So I gotta get on there and
just play some more.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
But what do you mean you can hear it before
I have second audi?

Speaker 1 (16:17):
I didn't have audio for the longest time. I'm it's
all I'm curious. Who fixed it for you? I can't
tell you.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Is it your son? Maybe it doesn't matter he got
it fixed. It makes noise. Now that's all that matters.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
Yeah, that's all that's all that matters. Who We don't
care who did what we.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Do or it was something that I didn't do the
first time. Maybe, well, good job, buddy, it's always good scene. Yeah,
you guys give it up. Good luck for Jade and
gr one of our best times. Absolutely update, it'll continue
on through twenty twenty six. We appreciate your time, buddy.
Have great Christmas, a great New Year, and uh, thanks for.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Your time man, you as well.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Happy Honica, Happy New Year's all that jazz for sure.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
All Right, Deb had some news I do.

Speaker 6 (16:58):
We're gonna talk about investstigators. Federal investigators are looking at
the weather in the North Carolina plane crash, a local
road reopens months after a washout, and a Santa letter
helps provide food. We'll end it on a happy note
and we'll talk about that next during You heard it
here first, all right, the

Speaker 1 (17:14):
Sake little break, we'll come back and get Deb's news
and get the hell out of here.
