Speaker 1 (00:05):
Hey guys.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Every day y'all are running a spot for a bon
Jovi album drop listening party, singing, And my question is
was anyone asking for a new bon Jovie album?

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Well you got his voice fixed.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
Good afternoon, everybody.

Speaker 5 (00:23):
This is Melinda number one.

Speaker 6 (00:24):
Jack omaniac and Jack.

Speaker 5 (00:27):
I think everybody should get off your back. You work
really hard.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
I know it.

Speaker 6 (00:31):
You're involved in everything Jack, especially with Ryan Holmes.

Speaker 5 (00:35):
My god, and they took your office. Okay, you deserve
a vacation. Let this noise and nonsense roll right off
your back. Bye.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Yeah, you have no idea what you're talking about. She's
a Jack of maniac. She knows zero zero knowledge. Melnda knows.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
Melinda sounds more like Jack than Jack does.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
A ron can come out.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Welcome back to the Jim Golber Show. We're already one
oh four point one year, four o'clock. Heyward his cash,
that's c A s H. Go to Real Radio dot

Speaker 2 (01:11):
There's Jack Rosses here as well. Let's do date Night
done right right Fland friend missus Danny Mrie of Orlando
Date night guy, And how are you doing, young lady?

Speaker 4 (01:31):
I am wonderful and spooky.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
Yeah, you get your spooky dress on, dude, I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
My god.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Man, I got to tell you, I don't know which
is worse some of you when it comes to the
seasons in Central Florida. You know, it used to be like,
you know, Christmas, Thanksgiving really kind of ruled the roost.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I don't know that that's the case anymore. Orlando is
straight up bananas for Halloween. There is stuff everywhere. I
don't know that I've seen more coverage for a holiday
or special day then I've seen this year for Halloween
on Facebook, Insta, all the spots.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
It's crazy out there.

Speaker 7 (02:06):
Everything it is so everything. If they can find a
way to Halloween it, they are gonna.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Yeah, well let's get to it. What's out there?

Speaker 4 (02:15):
All right?

Speaker 7 (02:16):
So happening Saturday two thirty pm to five pm is
the Miss Scream Queen Halloween Pin Up Contest.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
And this is at Hotel Casadega in Cassadaga.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Man, that sounds awesome.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
It's gonna be so fun and for people who do.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Not realize what Cassadaga is around here. It's just a
spiritualist camp slash city out there going toward Daytona off
of I four and it's legendary. Matter of fact, it
became so busy at one point they used to shut
the ramp down going in there because they tried to
avoid a lot of people going there for Halloween and
kind of just walking around the city because it's a dim, spooky.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Oh man, I didn't realize that. That's crazy.

Speaker 7 (02:54):
Yeah, so this this, maybe this will cause the traffic backup. Hees,
maybe of a different kind. So this is put on
by Pinups and Pumps Florida and they are doing a
pin up contest at the Haunted Hotel Casadega.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
Spectators are welcome.

Speaker 7 (03:07):
If you want to participate in the contest, you do
need to register and it is limited to twenty one
and up. So I think it's gonna be a great time,
great people watching.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Yeah, that sounds awesome. I've not heard them do anything
like that before.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Yeah. So that's on Saturday.

Speaker 7 (03:21):
And then also on Saturday seven pm to eleven pm
is the Halloween Costume Contest at Wakaiva Island.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
This is one of the best ones in Orlando every year.

Speaker 7 (03:31):
The creativity that people have to participate in this is
awesome and it's a great venue. It's a cool spot
to do this, you know, go hang out by the river,
sit relax, get to watch people in crazy costumes. There's
all kinds of different prizes. The contest again is for
twenty one and up and there's no entry fee to

(03:52):
participate and enjoy. That happening Friday night and Saturday night
from six to nine pm is Dragon Nights at Low Gardens.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
So right now during the.

Speaker 7 (04:03):
Day they have this Dragon's Hidden Treasure quest, like these
dragons displayed all throughout lou Gardens this evening Friday and
Saturday evenings. They are kind of giving it the nighttime treatment.
Tickets are twenty five dollars for adults or nineteen dollars
for kids, and you'll get to solve riddles and uncover
dragons hidden treasure.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Now.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
I don't know if you heard the news about post time.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
I did hear then.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Actually, we went last weekend to hang out a little
bit because we didn't know if we'd have an opportunity
to go again, you know, because it's two weekends now.
I think it's closed and we didn't know if we're
going to be able to get back, so we went
last weekend.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
It was you know, a little sad. Yeah yeah, And
that's a legendary spot, dah sure is.

Speaker 7 (04:45):
So they are having a couple of different events before
they close up shop, and one of them is Saturday
evening eight thirty pm. The Barfly Band is going to
do their kind of farewell performance. So if you aren't
familiar with post time, you want to see some old
school central floor of the life.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
That is that's been around for quite a while.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Old being the keyword there, old being the keyword. It
has not changed to make see an actual vampire there.

Speaker 5 (05:12):
The crepit rotting.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Oh yeah, sag saggy.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
There's a lot of words.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
It's scary, man, And they don't dress up.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
They're going to be looking for a new host, yea,
they don't have the you know, they're going to be
hiking home to find new hunts to hang out in.

Speaker 5 (05:29):
And they don't say brains, They just say where's the bathroom,
all right, brains.

Speaker 7 (05:39):
Also happening Saturday at six pm is the Booze and
Bruce Bar Crawl. This is at Live at Point Orlando.
So they are of course going to have Halloween themed drinks.
They are encouraging costumes, and they're going to hop around
all the different venues that are there.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Tickets are just sixteen dollars.

Speaker 7 (05:56):
Or you can do the VIP for forty five dollars
and you will get three drinks with that plus early
entry and then they're going to have additional drink specials
if you need to continue that fun.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Free drinks for sixteen bucks.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
That's a good deal for forty five. Okay, there, go
to the VIP and it's a different deal.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
It's still not bad. I mean, the average cost for
a drink right now is like twelve dollars. Yeah, that's
not beer, like even glasses of wine now like minimums
like twelve.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Bucks for real.

Speaker 7 (06:21):
Absolutely all right, So these next events are happening on Halloween,
So we're going to give a little taste for you
so you can plan ahead and we'll be sharing more
next week as well as in our weekly email newsletter.
You can go to Orlando Date Nightguide dot com to
sign up for that. So this is happening at Port
Orlando as well on Halloween Night. Seven pm is nightmare

(06:42):
at the point, So what's different about this one is
that each of the venues are going to do a
live action tribute to different scary movies, So you're essentially
for the one that's happening on Halloween.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
At seven pm.

Speaker 7 (06:54):
You'll be hopping around different live action Halloween movie themes
at each of the bars. They're going to have DJs
covers twenty dollars for that one. And then on Halloween
is lunch and dinner service at Cafe tw tw Tango.
They are doing a Taylor Swift Halloween all day Okay,
so if you dress up in a Taylor Swift inspired costume,

(07:16):
you will get fifteen percent off your entire meal horrifine,
and then we'll be playing Taylor Swift greatest hits all
day long.

Speaker 5 (07:24):
If we show up as Kanye West, you get charged more.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
The arts rival Enemy of Taylor Swifty.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Still still one of the most surreal moments in television.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
And depending on who you are, you might even lose
your job.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (07:42):
Rolling the dice, you know this year seems like a
rolling of the dice year for Halloween.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Be careful there, folks, all right.

Speaker 7 (07:49):
Happening Halloween as well from six to ten PM is
the promenade at Sunset Walk is doing their annual Halloween
costume contest. This one's a great pick because it's free
to walk around. They're gonna have street performers, they're gonna
have live music. DJ Dead Ringer is going to be
part of that.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Two Wow.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
Thanks for selling that, Jack, that's a great name. And
let's see.

Speaker 7 (08:14):
Curious Quirk is having a Halloween party. They are out
in Lake Nona. So if you want the Housewives of
Lake Nona Halloween edition, this is definitely going to be
the one. Uh So, they're gonna have a buffet, spooky cocktails,
a DJ costume contest for twenty one and up. It's
seventy five dollars and that includes all of that funness
and that's from six to eleven pm.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Yeah, you want to see sixty different cougar outfits.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Catwoman is gonna be Oh yeah, you're gonna see cat
Woman through the decades.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Yeah that Aria's going to run out of leopard print
by the end of that weekend.

Speaker 7 (08:46):
That's what.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Damn sure, I got them money.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
It's gonna smell like Johnny was for months.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
Deep Cut.

Speaker 7 (08:54):
Yeah, all right, And lastly, on Halloween evening seven pm
at Judson's Live. They are doing a Flashback Fight Eighties
Halloween dance party. So it's gonna be Eighties themed, another
costume contest and live music from.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Beauty and the Beats. And it's thirty five bucks for
this one.

Speaker 7 (09:13):
So I feel like this is a great way to
go experience Judson's Live without the pressure of like the concert.
And if you've never been, this is a great way
to do it, and a beautiful rooms to.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Check it out. It's a gorgeous room, that's for sure.

Speaker 7 (09:26):
I've never been there doing kind of like one of
these parties. Y yeah, so I it would be interesting
because it is built for.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
For viewing music and listening to music.

Speaker 7 (09:35):
Yeah yeah, so this is a they've They've done this
type of an event couple of different times.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
That's cool.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
Must be must be going well, yeah, very nice.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (09:43):
And of course there's lots of trunk or treat events
happening for kids, so we've got a full list at
Orlando hyphenparenting dot com. If you do have the kids
to burn out some energy.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
For what are you doing this weekend?

Speaker 7 (09:55):
There's a party at the park down the street in
Casterbury fun Toberfest. So we're doing that on Saturday, and
then Sunday I'm doing something for myself. It's a kind
of yoga spiritual n hippie, part time hippie.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
No Halloween next, Colleen's on a Friday this year?

Speaker 5 (10:11):
Is it not?

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Man? That works out?

Speaker 2 (10:13):
That's the best, right, Like a Friday or Saturday or
Saturday would be the best.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Right.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
I feel like Friday might be good because you get
home from work.

Speaker 7 (10:19):
Yeah, you do the thing with the kid, you trick
or treat, and then Saturday, like you can recover.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
You like, or you can do the Friday night thing
with the kids, and then Saturday night even though it's
November first, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
You can still blow it out and do the Halloween
that night.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
I mean, I'm going full Christmas?

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Are you really?

Speaker 5 (10:36):
Is that what you do?

Speaker 3 (10:36):
For real? Like November first you put all your stuff up?

Speaker 6 (10:39):
I do.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
Really, It's always that way, but now now that like
what changed it? Culture?

Speaker 3 (10:46):
I just hates Thanksgiving.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
Yeah, is such a great answer.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
I think it's kind of common.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Though, right, Like I mean earlier, I know that most
people don't, don't most people have their stuff up before Thanksgiving?

Speaker 7 (10:57):
Now, Yeah, I mean I remember growing up it was
you waited to Thanksgiving. But yeah, I mean that's changed
and I've just I've ridden that drain. I'm like, all right,
let's do it.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
I don't care.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
As a matter of fact, I know that's the case
because of my house. To get all my kids over,
we have to give them food, right, So Thanksgiving, when
they come over, we literally tell them don't forget. After dinner,
we're putting up Christmas stuff. And my wife will drag
everything out so that the kids are already there and
they're forced to help us put up the Christmas stuff
because that's what we've.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Been doing for like twenty years.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
I love our sister station down the hall flip the
Christmas music on July fifth.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Yeah, they know they did not after fourth and they
went to Christmas music.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
All right, Well, it was nice knowing that station. Is
that true?

Speaker 3 (11:37):
No, I was gonna say, I mean, you sold that
a little hard. Can I tell you it's not above
this company to do something like that.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
It's not above my heart to do that.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
I'm gonna giving your heads.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
Up and it'll be happening the same time Danny's hanging
a wreath.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Yeah, it's about the same time. How far do you
got to You do it inflatables in the yard?

Speaker 4 (11:57):
No, I hate inflatable Oh my.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
God, bless you. I knew there's a reason and I connected.
I knew there was a reason you and I connected.

Speaker 7 (12:05):
And this is how smart my son is. He calls
them deflatables. He like he you know, that was originally
when he was cute and like mispronounced things.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
I mean, he's still cute, but now he like does
it on purpose because he knows, like the vast majority of.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
The day, you just have these sad Oh my god.
There's a couple of houses in Castleburg. You drive by it. Look,
it looks like there was.

Speaker 5 (12:25):
A drive by it just it looks like like giant condoms. Yeah, colorful.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
It looks like fifty it does attack on titan monsters,
those big giants like they make love over a neighborhood.
It's just a bunch of really weird condoms on front
and backyard.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Johnny, don't plug that one in. Yeah, that's not snow, Johnny,
it's not snow. Don't plug it in, Johnny.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
Is this how houses are made? Oh my god?

Speaker 1 (12:57):
Got my damn toddler wondering how houses are made these
freaking inflatables.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Weird.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
Oh well, there's a text that I would love to
get your answer on here, miss Danny.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Is that thank you eighteen year anniversary for a couple
to listeners right now?

Speaker 5 (13:14):
What restaurant? Where are they going?

Speaker 4 (13:17):
What age bracket are these folks? Information?

Speaker 5 (13:21):
Let's go forty?

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Yeah, I mean they've been again eighteen years. You've got
them in there. Maybe late thirties, early forties.

Speaker 6 (13:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (13:26):
Well, if you need a little spice in your life,
then I would suggest Better than Sex, which does focus
on dessert, but it is so good.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
I was about to say that very thing.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Book your dinner, but before you book dinner, before you
do anything, because it's one of the hardest seats in
Orlando to get.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Go book a night at Better than Sex.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
It's down on Orange Avenue and it basically is a
vampire's bedroom that serves just the most delicious, unbelievably.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
Good cakes and desserts that you can ever have.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
They pair them up with wines or whatever you want, coffee,
and it's just a really cool place to have a dessert.
It's hard to get in there, though, and it's not cheap.
But if you're doing an anniversary thing, a perfect way
to end.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Up like a date night.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Yeah, it's cute and cheeky. It'll kind of get talking
a little bit.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
It's not the meal though, that's just the dessert. R
Yeah yeah, okay, yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
If they like sushi near there is Edo Boy Edo Boy.

Speaker 7 (14:16):
Yeah, a stand up sushi so you are standing it's
a stand up sushi counter.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
But oh my god, it is so good. Yeah yeah,
And so then like that's one of my dream.

Speaker 7 (14:24):
Dates that we've just never been able to do because
a babysitter and stuff is dinner there and then.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Do yeah, one hundred percent. I mean Hillstones right up
the street, that's a great restaurant. Raven His Paggas right
around the corner. That's also a great restaurant. But Strand is.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Right there, that's a great restaurant, Tory Torri.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
I mean, there's so many great places in the modern
it's all right there in that area. You could do
all of those and then end up it better than
the sex and be very nice. And then this is
what you do when you're at better than sex. It's
gonna be a great dessert, right, It's they're gonna be
so happy on that last bite, and then she like
rolls her eyes back and her toes curled by that
last little crem brew let or whatever she decided to get.

(14:59):
She goes, and then you look at that last bite
as she's eating it, and you go, you ready for
me to prove this restaurant wrong.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Oh that's right, boo dude, And I gave you a little.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
Right give you a Schwarzenegger tagline for your anniversary.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
You're welcome.

Speaker 6 (15:15):
I like that.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
But the cake is so good. The sex is never
gonna be better. Maybe heads the cake is that good?

Speaker 5 (15:20):
You tell that after? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Are you guys? Give it up? Good love.
