Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, Jim soul Man here, anybody we've been thinking about
replacing our winders too.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
I know what kind of windows do they habit? Fas? Oh?
Come on, bet you they have the best kind of winders.
Oh god, I hate it.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Hey, good afternoon, corbor crew.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
But hey, Jimmy, Yes, sir, we'll.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Try to get some of those fa s winders, winders
and doors.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Yeah, I know, hard are pretty good. Yeah, they're good, buddy.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Uh, don't bother with my explanation of what they are.
I was saying, winder it's windows. Of course, when you
read the same spot for thirty years, something happens, all right,
seven seven zero three one. Don't forget your four o'clock
keyword is bank, B A N K H. Just mosey
over to real Radio FM and send that away for
your chance at one thousand dollars on a winter earlier
this week. Would love to add you to the list.

(00:47):
Bank is your four o'clock keyword? Good luck, Welcome back on, Jim, there's.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Dead Hello, Yeah, and Ross make me a better husband.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Let's do date night? Done right.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Off?

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Don right? Good night for our friend Dannymery Orlando Date
night Guy, Danny Howe are you.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
I am spooky and wonderful. I love it trying to
bring some witch vibes.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Dropping by on Thursdays for how long now, a couple
of years.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
We're at like two years and a handful of months.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Very nice giving us updates on what's happening in Orlando.
She scours the entire city finding cool stuff for you,
maybe as a couple, as a single family stuff U.
There is a supporting newsletter that goes out usually right
after appearances on the show. If you want to hop
on that free of charge for that.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Thing, absolutely at Orlando Date Night Guy and Orlando Hyphenparenting
dot Com.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
All right, what do you got for us this week?
I mean, I'm sure it's a deep breathkind of scenario.
It's supposed to be some pretty good weather, and of
course all the Halloween stuff is happening, and that all
goes in with all the false stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
I mean, I can't imagine.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
Yeah it is. This is a peak week. So I'll
try to be gentle, but I may just we may
just go for all right.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
So that attitude.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
I appreciate that attitude. It all right, and this is
where we're starting. There we go so a kind of
a local legend that has been at it for years.
One of my favorites, Colorado Fondue Company in Casterlebury has
been going strong with Halloween vibes since the end of August,

(02:25):
and my family and I went there over the weekend
and just it never disappoints. Somehow they have added more
decorations this year. The place is so cool, so if
you are going to do dinner there, you definitely need
to get a reservation.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Oh really it is.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
I mean we were there at they squeezed us in
at four forty five and like we're so booked. We're
now like opening early.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Wow. Wow.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
So if you don't get a reservation, you can there's
a bar there. It's small, but you can still you know,
grab a drink there and like a salad or something
because it is a fondue place with the hot rocks,
so they do all that at the at the table back.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Do you also wait over at Bowegans as well?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Yeah, yeah, you can wait there, And I mean that's
another place that you support quite often. Have great brewery
here and down one of the best stouts in all
of Orlando, ruled by those guys. So you could do
that and kind of Mozi over when your table's ready.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Yeah, that's absolutely And right down the road, so ten
minutes away is a petrified forest there in Altamont. They
opened up last weekend and one of our contributors went
there to get some footage for us, and they are
they've added like some a theatrical something something and like
a couple of different experiences. So they have expanded as well.

(03:32):
And Saturday morning is Kid's Day at a Petrified Forest.
So this is they do it once a year, their
annual event with Make a Wish Foundation, and so the
kids can actually trigger treat there and there is usually
one trail that's opened, but without like the scare people
jumping out at you. There are a couple of props
that you might want to like squirit the kids kind

(03:55):
of quickly.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Hey look chicken, yeah, and then they'll run on pass right. Yeah,
I've heard that thing. This year is pretty crazy too.
I heard like there's a part where you like they
just take your ass off.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Into the woods. Oh, it's supposed to be pretty good
this year.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
It's supposed to be scary. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
They always do a very good job, but I hear.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
I hear it in the woods were scary, perfect scary.
And another trick or treat thing happening is Sunday the
Trick or Treat Safe Zone at the Orange County Library
and History Center. So those are good options for the family,
and we have a full list at Orlando hyphen parenting
dot com. A new event that's happening Saturday is at

(04:35):
the Four Roots Farm. I don't know if you've been
out there. Four Roots is by the same folks as
Four Rivers. It's kind of their community area, and so
the farm is in kind of the packing district it is, yeah, yeah,
And so Saturday, from nine am to two they're gonna
have live music, a farmer's market, a pumpkin patch, fresh
cut sunflowers, photo ops, all kinds of cool stuff and

(04:57):
that is free to go enjoy. So and the weather
seems like it might be just right for it. Now
going back a little bit. Happening Friday from five to
ten pm is EMO Night at Sip and Shop at
the Warped Poor.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Oh, the Warped Tour Ring.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
I'm not I can go. I'll be very sad, right,
it'll be too sad to go what I would like?
That's how I am.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
This is a please. I hope somebody would do this
idea is like an emo version of the inside out emotions.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
No, yeah, yeah, yeah, he's never seen it. No, no, no,
Jack however, Oh.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
It's fantastic even though he's in it.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
You're the red one, oh for sure.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Don't call me the red one.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
Yeah, you're the red one.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Don't call me the red one. What's the red one?

Speaker 6 (05:46):
You're like the one.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
He's voiced by Lewis black Right, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
You're ready to Lewis Black One.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
I'm just gonna sit back. I'm over here.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Yeah, I'll go back to Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
I think that would be cute though, Like a gang
of people dressed is like the emotions, but instead of
like the colorful versions, they're just black and you know,
eyeliner and stuff. I don't know. So The Warped Poor
is Wall Street Plaza in downtown Orlando. It is perfect
for US millennial folks or maybe gen X folks, and
the Theme Park Therapy Group will be doing a nostalgic

(06:33):
market there and there will be live music. So that's tomorrow, Friday,
five to ten p I think it'll be a good time.
Another kind of spooky vibes event. Happening Friday Tomorrow night
five pm to nine pm is Night of the Mystic
Arts at Lake Concord Park in Castlebury. I don't know
if the McLaren will be there.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Oh about that yet, Okay, that's okay to about it.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
That's fine.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
If if you know, you know, and if you don't know,
you'll be informed.

Speaker 6 (07:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
Yeah, so native the Mystic Arts is a free market
and they are doing mini readings tarot palm palm mystery, palmistry.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Yeah, it's just a really bad palm reading. I don't
know what it's.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Or it's palm reading and dentistry.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Yeah, so it's one of the two.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
I would actually that would get me to to enjoy
the dentist.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
More reading your palm.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
That would distract me at least.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Oh, we see your bill going up, We see you
needing a ruka. Now we see you don't floss.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
The cavity and you die at sixty two.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Too soon? Oh my god, I just.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Want to say I think that.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Yeah, never mind, very specific.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
I should have read the room.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Speaking of readings, at the Night of the Mystic Arts,
they will have aura readings. So I don't know if
you go.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
I learned today a glowing red you can cook a
burger on my aura.

Speaker 6 (08:07):
It is.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
It is like an inflame boil on the ass of life,
my aura.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
So stop killing our guest. This is a good time.
Please let me stay happening tomorrow night as well at
six pm as the annual Drunken Pumpkin at Gnarly Barley.
It is fun.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Have I never heard drunken Punkin before? That is like
a perfect name. That's the first time I've ever heard
that used together.

Speaker 6 (08:37):
That's actually that's the fifth time you've heard that, And
that's the fifth time you've said that.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
We're all getting worried.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
We're getting into the doctor after what side.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
I'm kind of with you, man.

Speaker 6 (08:48):
You would think drunken Punkin would be everywhere.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
It's such a good name. I've never never heard it,
not even once.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
Well, thankfully Narly Barley is using.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
That's cool.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
So they transform their parking lot into a pumpkin patch.
There's gonna be food trucks, Halloween vendors and outdoor bar.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
You mean you mean they're gonna use their four parking spots.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Yes, it's a lot of pumpkin.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
It's worth it. In this case. Saturday and Sunday's the
big winter Park Autumn Art festival, So if you want
to high brow it, then that is Saturday and Sunday
free to walk around.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Let me be good for a stroll this weekend. It's
gonna be really nice out there.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
And then Saturday evening at eight pm Morse Code, which
is kind of this lounge that's on Morse Avenue at
winter Park. It's where the well to do go to
hang out and do cool things.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
I guess haven't been invited me either. Actually forms stand
up at the Morse Code.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Oh really yeah, cool spot it was.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
It's a very cool spot.

Speaker 6 (09:48):
It was also just like god, man, I hope this
show goes well, oh really yeah, because they were all
the hoity toity, like I could be wearing a tie
but I'm not, and I'm dropping a button right kind
of vibes a shirt's press properly. Everyone has a boat,
but it's all in their second house. So I was
like I was the hungriest person in the room.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
For sure. So if you want to mingle with that crowd,
Saturday at eight pm they are doing an after party
for the art festival. So that's interesting nice. I don't
know if any of the artists will be there. Maybe
that'll be cool. Zombie Toberfest is happening Saturday night and
Sunday afternoon in Audubon Park. So Zombie Toberfest is five
to eight pm on Saturday and they're going to have

(10:33):
the Goonies on the big screen and a spooky concert
at seven and then Sunday afternoon they are doing a
craft market. So it's a two day affair. And if
you want to do kind of a local haunt, then
the Longwood Haunted History Tour is taking place this Saturday
as well as Saturday, the eighteenth and the twenty fifth.

(10:53):
Tours are at seven pm. And this is through the
Bradley McIntyre House, which is in historic downtown Longwood. It's
kind of on the corner. You can see it says
you're driving by like on four to twenty seven. So
that's a cool area and it's thirty five bucks. You
get to explore the three floors of eerie rooms and
hear ghostly tales and local legend that's cool. And lastly,

(11:15):
I want to give a shout out to my husband.
It is going to be our eighth wedding anniversary tomorrow,
Oh anniversary I could not do this job without him,
so I definitely got to thank him because he's really
kind of the unpaid employee of Orlando dat n Parenting Magazine.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
He gets dragged all throughout Orlando. You can see in
the background on some of this photos going Jesus hey
and how many more times out to carry this bag?

Speaker 3 (11:41):
My god? So you kids best in both worlds?

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Oh he does? Yeah, yeah, trust me, you get those
fancy dinners.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
I'll hold the bag, but medium rare please.

Speaker 4 (11:51):

of the corn cob eating contest at Amberbrook Farm.

Speaker 2 (11:59):

for all of you guys.
