Fresh off his national radio debut, Kyle Olson joined us with powerful insight on Trump’s America 250 kickoff, Michigan’s political crossroads in 2026, and the rise of radical left ideologues like Jocelyn Benson. Kyle warned that Benson could be even more dangerous than Whitmer, driven by a deeply partisan agenda to transform Michigan. We also broke down ICE raids in Detroit targeting criminal illegals and the leftist agitators trying to shield them. Plus—bombshell developments as AG Dana Nessel raids Whitmer’s economic agency, hinting at growing fractures on the Left. The knives are coming out—and so is the truth.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Fresh off that big national radio debut yesterday, are good
friend Kyle Olsen with Tutor Dixon hosting, standing in for
the folks playing boock noon to three here appreciate it. Hey,
congratulations Kyle. Thanks for taking the time to be here
with now that you are, you know, in the big leagues,
my friend, we appreciate you making time for the little

(00:21):
folks here.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Good morning. It was it was a lot of fun.
It was. It was a lot of fun. So I'm
I was glad to have the opportunity and yeah, so
thanks for having me.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Well, he love that you represent West Michigan so well.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
And the perspective I think, you know, all America loves
to hear from as well, because it's it's look, it's
common sense, it's uh, it's it's grounded and uh. And
that's reflective also in the in the the the approach
at the Midwestern or the Midwestern or tot news. Now again,
let's talk and start with him before we get into
Michigan specifically about the America two fifty celebration. Used to

(01:00):
have it in Iowa's kind of interesting to me tonight.
He's kicking things off really with this big ramp up
this full year that will lead up to the two
hundred and fiftieth celebration there next July fourth, on Independence Day.
But tonight headed there for a big rally and we've
already seen folks line in the streets to get in,

(01:21):
and man, it's going to be a huge celebration there
tonight as well.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
It looks like, yeah, is there not a better president
to be president at the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary
than Donald Trump? I mean, a guy who loves America.
So it's going to be a great year. There's a
lot that's going to be happening at the fairgrounds there
near Des Moines over the next year, a real celebration

(01:48):
of America. And here's a president and the administration that
loves America, loves the people that are working to protect
our freedoms, protect our board and so I think it's
going to be a very special year.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
It really, I mean, think of it. I've been talking
about this, but you mentioned it's so true. It'd be
a different world if Kamala Harris was president today, this celebration,
the way they're going to pull this off, I really
do feel like I said it, But for twenty twenty four,
we were really as a nation on the we were.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
At a crossroads. We were on the verge of either
losing this nation.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
We're seeing that patriotism is at record lows, and if
you dig into the numbers, you find out that that's
really Democrats that hate America.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Republicans remain high with their pride in the country. You
got to wonder what would.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
This country be like, and especially at that mark, what
would things look like if she was president right now?
Look at all the things that he's been able to accomplish.
I know he's going to talk about and hit on
that tonight, but it's a crossroads. You could comment on that,
but I'd also like you to comment to Kyle, if
you would, because I believe we're at the very same

(03:02):
crossroads for the state in twenty twenty six, the same
importance that it had for the nation that election on
our nation in twenty twenty four, I think we've got
that choice to make in twenty twenty six for this state.
We can even move forward and get things back on
track and make Michigan great again, right, or we can
settle into the sort of the dust bend of irrelevance

(03:25):
that Whitmer and the rest of those folks that democratic
way of thinking had really seated us too.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Right, Well, I think first of all, if Kamala Harris
was in charge of America to fifty, if that was
even a thing, is that it would probably have sort
of this festivus attitude to it, where there would be
lots of airing your grievances. Oh yeah, and people would be,
you know, just very angry about what everybody else, what

(03:54):
they think everybody else has done to them. But this
next year it's going to be about what America has done,
the significance of our country, the significance how we have
led the way when it came when it's come to
personal liberty and freedom and democracy and all of those

(04:16):
important values. And then when it comes to Michigan. I mean,
you and I have talked about this a lot that
Gretchen Whitmer has really she has managed the decline of
our state. And whether it's it's reading scores and the
education system, or its businesses leaving, or its quality of
life issues, she has not really she's not come up

(04:39):
with any solutions. She has not owned these problems. It's
just its excuses. It's and as I was saying yesterday,
it's not like she's going to Ohio or Indiana, or
Illinois or Wisconsin to try and attract jobs to Michigan.
She's going to She's going across the across the world,

(05:01):
to Australia, to the Middle East, to Europe. There are companies,
American companies that should be coming to Michigan because of
our workers, because of our environment, because of our policies,
but they're not doing that because of the leadership and
lack thereof. And so we have been in this situation

(05:25):
where she is managing our decline. And does anybody really
think that a Joscelyn Benson who has no experience at
what it takes to create jobs or make ends meet
or any of those things, is she going to really
be any different?

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yeah, a fair point, And I got to tell you,
I think she will be, But folks aren't going to
want to hear this. I think she's going to be
much worse. I think she truly hates America. You dig
into those numbers of the Democrats who say they're not
proud of this country, you have to wonder why that is.
It's the institutions. We talked about this yesterday at length.
But it's the institutions, the media, the the scrowls as

(06:06):
Russ used to call them, uh, and and the deep
a lot of the lot of the administrative state in Washington.
All these folks have been for generations now attacking this
country because they come from a standpoint and this is
really critical theory. This is Marxist at its core, where
these these folks hate America and hate every bit of it,
and they ever thought it was great. That's why they
scoff at making America great again. They never thought it

(06:28):
was great. In fact, uh, just like you said, airing
of the grievances, that's their whole, that's their whole outlook
on life. And that's the way she thinks about Michigan.
She will she will be far worse than Gretchen Whitmer.
Ever was Gretchen Whitmer was just taking advantage, I would say,
probably of her political position and authority, wanting to climb

(06:51):
that that corporate ladder, essentially the political ladder. She wants
to be president, but Jocelyn Benson wants to trans She
wants to fundamentally, like Obama, fundamentally transform Michigan on that
Soro's payroll Essentially, people.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Have no idea what we're in store for if she
is elected.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yeah, if you look at the history of Gretchen Whitmer
and sort of her political progression, it made sense for
her to run for governor. And she was very much
a creature of Lansing. She knew all the lobbyists, she
knew the bureaucracy. It made sense from her perspective that
was just sort of the next thing that you do.

(07:34):
And I don't think she has a lot of principles.
I think she goes where it's easiest or where it's
more at most advantageous. That's why I think she was
at the White House because she's got her hand out.
She wants bedroom money. In order to do that, she's
got to be nice to Donald Trump. But she's not
particularly principled. But you look at a Jocelyn Benson. One

(07:57):
of the very first things she did in her career
was she was a hate crimes investigator for the Southern
Poverty Law Center. Now that takes a certain mentality to
say that's what I want to do with my life.
And she very much is a partisan ideologue. Who is
I think you're right, she does not like what our

(08:20):
country stands for. She does not like our values, in
our principles and all of those things that make our
country great. I don't think she believes in those things,
and she wants to fundamentally transform as you said, Obama said,
she wants to fundamentally transform our state in our country,
and I think she would be infinitely worse than what

(08:42):
Gretchen Whitmer has been.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Kyle Olson at the Midwestern and Midwesterner Dot News I
saw a store.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
You guys have this.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
We barely got to scratch the surface of it yesterday,
but Detroit ice rads ending and arrest twice, deported ill
legal immigrants and two agitators. These agitators, and the video
that came out that Troit News had was from some
sort of Socialist Liberation Party of Michigan or whatever. And
it's wild to watch as I see this. So police

(09:10):
are having to deal with a guy who's on the run.
They're going to warrant to go into the house to
get he's already fled from them, and then to their backs. That's,
you know, the threat that they're facing as they're going
into the property and then to their backs. They're having
to deal with these people who knows what they're going
to do behind them. This is a recipe for disaster.
I'm glad to see that these folks were arrested, but

(09:32):
until they actually go after the people who are funding
these protests as well and throw some real time, you know,
throw the book at these folks who are engaging in
his behavior, they're never going to shut this down, but
they've got to do it because it's getting really nasty, right.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
And this is the hill that these leftist groups are
going to die on. Is immigration. They want to protect.
They don't. They believe that there should be no deportations,
and they want to protect every person that's in this
country illegally. And what has been very clear from the
Trump administration is that they are going after criminal aliens

(10:11):
and whether it's rapists, murderers, robbers, very significant violent criminals,
that's who they're going after. And so as they're trying
to go and arrest these people, because let's be clear,
the Bind administration knew exactly where these people were, they

(10:32):
just chose not to do anything about it. And the
Trump administration and saying these people are making our communities
in our neighborhoods more dangerous and Americans shouldn't have to
live like this, and so we're going to get these
people out of our country. And so as they're doing
these raids, you've got these left wing groups that are
trying to disrupt, They're trying to distract, they're trying to

(10:54):
create chaos, and it creates a very dangerous situation for
everyone else because what happens is they're in these neighborhoods
trying to arrest people, and you've got people who don't
live in the neighborhoods coming in and creating a very
dangerous situation, and that's when bad things happen. And so
I agree with you. I think these groups that are

(11:16):
organizing these anti ice protests and agitations and clashes and
things like we saw in those videos, they need to
be identified, they need to be investigated, and there needs
to be accountability.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Kyle, also the Midwest and on Midwestern or dot news anything,
we ought to know that you guys are working on
or planning ahead of the holiday here and we should
keep an eye on there at the website.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Well, I think one of the stories that is a
bombshell that is not going away anytime soon is what
Dana Nessel the Attorney General did to the MEDC, the
Michigan Economic Development Corporation, when she raided the MEDC, which
of course is the Whitmer appointed economic development arm of
state government. She raided them because of a grant twenty

(12:01):
million dollar grant that they gave to a company that
had political connections to the governor rated them for the
President's cell phone while the President was with Gretchen Whitmer
in Australia. And this problem for the Whitmer administration is
not going away. And it's going to be very interesting

(12:23):
to see how this develops and the division that this
continues to create between Whitmer and Nessel.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Interesting story. Lut the knives starting to come out. Always
a pleasure, kyl Olson. Thank you for being here with
us today. Happy independence to do.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Thank you very much too.
