Speaker 1 (00:01):
Buy from Higher Top Monroe Center in downtown Grand Rapids.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
We're talking about.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
What matters most to you. When West Michigan joined the conversation.
Now at six one six seven seven four, twenty four
twenty four. At six one six seven seven four twenty
four twenty four, it's West Michigan Live with Justin Barklay
on Wood Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
It's US Aimonso. It is touring down around US High Top,
downtown Grand Rapids, over West Michigan and and the rain
is coming down much NATed for lots of folks in
different areas. We'll keep you updated on the latest, how
it packs the drive. Wherever you might be, there might

(00:46):
be some issues, uh so just stand close. Speaking of issues,
We've got the latest oots, all the headlines, the stories
you haven't heard in maybe in the context you deserve.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
On the wings, weather and traffic, the b his stories
of the day. We are talking about what matters most
in West Michigan and beyond these.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Is the Big Three.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Now see Speak.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Three, the big crime crack down in DC, why they've
been hiding the numbers and how they've been doing. Speaking
of numbers, the CPI is out that's talking about inflation
tying that to interest rates in the whole of the economy.
Trump strategy is is he winning or is it taking

(01:36):
its full We'll have the latest plus where are the files?
An update? You want one of this on the way,
I'm gard want good friends at Hardlett Home Mortgage, damp
gataway and the team ready to help you at HHM
lending dot com. Trump announced again yesterday a big DC
crime crackdown, Crime through the roof. And of course they've

(01:57):
been hiding the numbers. They've been monkeying with them the
whole time in DC. Democrats trying to make you feel like, oh, no,
things are great, nothing to see year. I'll explain how
they've been doing that on the way. But first, from
the press conference yesterday, I.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Announ saying a historic action to rescue our nation's capital
from crime, bloodshed, bedlam and squalor and worse. This is
Liberation Day in DC and we're going to take our
capital back, taking its President Trump yesterday in they had
this confidence.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
More on that, like I said, in moments as you
can imagine, the left having an all out kissing fit
as expected. And yes, there's more on those numbers and
how they've been hunting. But first where are the finals?
Speaking of the last saying one thing and doing another.
You know, they've been out there, Democrats accusing President Trump

(02:58):
and trying to cover up an even being in audit
with the Epstein files. Yesterday, after President Trump and the DOJ,
at his request, asking a judge to unseal the Glaine
Maxwell grand jury records, a federal judge excuse me, an
Obama appointed federal judge saying no, you can't have them. Now,

(03:25):
I wonder why where are those files? And I'm hoping
that folks who are out there, you know, ruffling the
feathers and marching to this beat, understand what's been revealed.
Once again, you have Democrats in audit up at the
highest levels and they're not interested in truth, logic and

(03:49):
common sense. That should be yeah, that should be evident
by now hey. US Border Patrol. Meanwhile, in Michigan says
a Guatemala national has been arrested in Harrison Township after
for attempting to enter self rich Air Force pace or
National Air Guard excuse me pace. There the Marysville station
agents made to stop with local partners and the man

(04:12):
will be processed from a for removal for the United
States Chief Patrol Agent John Morris making that announcement on
social media Twitter X to be exacting. Yes, we have
CPI numbers. Want to get into those of the inflation.
I just give you the headline lower than expected, folks.

(04:33):
Not not a good day to be a Democrat and
not a good day to be in the media. But
you know they'll try and spin it either way, and
that's why we're here to write the ship, give you
the truth, logic and common sense. Like I said, the
context you deserve. We're going to get into it. Stick

(04:53):
with us and you can join the program anytime.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Call Justin now at six one six seven twenty four
to twenty four. That's six one six seven seven twenty
four to twenty four, West Michigan Live with Justin Barclay
on News Radio Wood thirteen hundred and one oh six
nine a f M.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Yeah, that's right. Let's get into it. Is that microfond feature,
that little talkback button there on the iHeartRadio app and
let it rip. So the DC crime Cracked Down is underway.
More yesterday, as Democrats talk about well he's taking over,

(05:31):
looking him as an unconstitutional blah blah blah blah blah.
Why are the numbers rigged? Why have they been bad
for so long? We talk about that and what the
reality is on the ground. We just had a story
the other day. By the way, I can't wait to
share some of this with you, because it has reporters,
even folks that like places in you know, no no
Trump fans at ABC, admitting that it is bad in DC.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Taking it back under the authorities vested in me as
the President of the United States, I'm officially invoking section
seventy forty of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act.
You know what that is, and placing the DC Metropolitan
Police Department under direct federal control. And you'll be meeting
the people that will be directly involved with that. But

(06:20):
they're tough and they know what's happening, and they've done
it before. In addition, I'm deploying the National Guard to
help re establish law order of public safety in Washington,
d C. And They're going to be allowed to do
their job properly. I'm announcing a historic action to rescue

(06:40):
our nation's capital from crime bloods.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
It's Liberation Day in d C. Liberation Day. There you
have it, folks, Liberation Day, and I'm telling you this
is like something you've never seen before. Something big is happening.
And of course, as i'm int this is a story,

(07:04):
I would I would reckon to say that it's unlike
anything that you have heard or will hear. Now they
now they well, this is this is this is important.
They've tried to sort of ask him about will you
do this in other cities? Will you'd be able to

(07:25):
You're gonna you're gonna do the crack down in other
cities too. You're gonna take over in other cities as well.
And that's a whole other well, that's a whole other qua.
He's in some things yesterday that I think might end
up being really interesting. We'll find out about what that
looks like in the days ahead. But I want to

(07:46):
tell you how they've been fudging the numbers just so
you can understand this. The Left has been hiding the
crime surge part of the things that they've been doing.
And you'll be hearing about this and I probably if
you haven't already, news broadcasts, and of course they're talking
point points. They keep saying crime is down in DC.
In anybody with a couple of brain cells understands that's

(08:08):
just not the truth. Crime is down year to date,
that's from last year to this year, but it is
still up. It's a little bit lower this year than
it was in twenty twenty four, but then again that's
probably the Trump effect. Critics call that cherry picking, you know,

(08:33):
And here's the reason why. Because twenty twenty four followed
a huge twenty twenty three spike. DC's homicide rates still
up and you look at the historic overall scheme of things,
forty one in every one hundred thousand, that's the homicide
rate in twenty twenty three. That's that's pretty incredible, and

(09:00):
am still far above pre pandemic levels even last year. Carjackings,
though maybe down just a bit twenty twenty three peaks,
they remain high. In short, Yeah, maybe the trend's getting
a little bit better, but it's bad, still bad overall,
and that is what they are making the point. I
don't believe me, don't don't listen to me necessarily, but

(09:25):
you know, why don't you listen to some of the folks.
I think I saw. One of the folks was that
was ABC, a reporter from ABC who made the point.
You know, she went into detail. This person got carjacked
over here. This person got I got she said, I
got jumped. I just it's such a sad scenario because

(09:51):
again they're gonna try and cover this up too, and
they're gonna fight all about this as well. But I
I just watched that thinking to myself, Uh, you know,
this is just another example. Anybody that lives there or
as in the thick of it could tell you. But
take a listen to this an ABC anchor ditching the
script to tell you like it is for maybe one

(10:13):
of the most rare moments in broadcast television history.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
We've been talking so much about the numbers, and yeah,
usually that's how you played Devil's Advocate as you talk about,
oh well, stat's say crime is down. However, I can
tell you firsthand here in downtown DC where we work,
right here around our bureau. Just in the past six months, Yeah,
there were two people shot. One person died literally two
blocks down here from the bureau. It was within the

(10:38):
last two years that I actually was jumped walking just
two blocks down from here. And then just this morning
one of my co workers said her car was stolen
a block away from the bureau. So we can talk
about the numbers going down, but crime is happening every
single day because we're all experiencing at firsthand well working

(11:01):
and living down here.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Is is any of that acceptable? Is any of that
acceptable to you? Is it? What is that acceptable to anyone?

(11:24):
I mean, this is what This is what democrats are
backed into, and the media in some case, this is
what they're backed into the corner to to defending. That's
ABC News folks again. You know, I know there are
no defenders of Trump and uh and and there you

(11:44):
have it. That's that's some of the truth about what
is actually happening behind the scenes. And of course this
is the problem that we see uh and and they're
saying in d C. That's why all of this matters.
The numbers matter, What Trump is doing matters, why he's

(12:06):
doing Now you want a little more detail about what
he's doing. To get into that post the CPI numbers,
because they're not telling you about inflation. You'll see very
little headline and conversation about inflation today and then dig
into the numbers, get into what's really happening in there.
But the headline is lower than expected. So all of

(12:28):
the this is the real meat of it, All of
that tariff terror that they're trying to push on the
news to make you definitely afraid of everything is just
flat out not happening. It's not working. In fact, what
Trump is doing is and the apparently, like I said,

(12:51):
this is just another example of making America great again,
making America safe again, making America more affordable again, and
the President trying to get down the work, get down
the business as everybody else, the media at the left.

(13:11):
But I repeat myself, try to get in the way.
All right, back in just a moment, folks, don't go anywhere.
We got more, more to cover, more to report, more
with you on the phone and at tech Tuesday we
got talked coming up with our good French frink it me. So,
don't you go anywhere back after this, But please, if

(13:31):
you're able in the meantime, join us in standing for
our nation's national.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
Anthemier headlines from The Midwesterner this Tuesday, August twelfth, I'm

(14:52):
Robin Hoffman. It's a Midwesterner dot News original story. An
illegal alien from Guatemala arrested by Border Patrol agents Harrison
Township as he attempts to enter Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
The man will be processed for removal from the US.
A homeless shelter for.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Drug addicted LGBTQ.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
Plus folks is coming to Lansing. The facility, called A
Place for Us, has been in development since twenty twenty three,
and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson spending close to eight
hundred thousand dollars to avoid another lawsuit allegend racism. The
lawsuit alleged is a racially hostile work environment. A staffer
telling The Midwesterner the settlement, in which Benson's office admits

(15:34):
to no wrongdoing, comes with a non disclosure agreement to
prevent details from becoming public. For these stories and more,
visit The Midwesterner at the Midwesterner dot news.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Hey, let's agreeing in a scene for the Marcus This
morning Cee NBC. On the CPI numbers, I want to
break those down for you, tell you what what it
really all means and the context behind it all. I
think better than expected. Really the headline the tariffs don't
really seem to be making much of a dent so far,
and I think in the next month or so we

(16:09):
may be seeing according to some of the reports, I'm
seeing the well the FED dropping interest rates, and he's
too late again, too late, Jerome too late, Powell lots
of green in the pre before the market's open. Dow
futures S and P five hundred Nasdaq futures are all up,

(16:32):
and the ten years as well, oil down. And by
the way, some of that is part of the reason
why the numbers forgot. Well, we'll get into that coming
up here in a second. First of all, whether they're
up or down, it doesn't matter. With the roller coaster
ride these days, you can feel nauseous, you can feel
a little queasy. But folks who deal with Mike Lester
and the team at tallon Wealth and have reached out

(16:53):
to say help me, help me get things on track.
Whether you want to retire today or tomorrow, or whether
you're retired now, they can help make sure that you're
on the right track and getting where you need to go.
They take a holistic approach at guarding your nest egg
dot com. You can reach out to them today at
sixty one six six sixty one one thousand, at sixty
one six sixty six one one thousand, or as I said,

(17:15):
go online to guarding your nest egg dot com. Best
way to do it all right, So I was just
talking to you about the CPI numbers, uh, and what
what it actually means that a CNB said line just says,
it's pretty sterile. But it's this consumer prices rise two
point seven percent annually in July, less than expected amid terraforries.

(17:41):
In other words, Trump got it right. Jerome Pal's wrong again.
He's too late. And of course they need to lower
interest rates, they need to get on top of this.
But again, like I said, I want to kind of
walk you through this and why, And I don't have
a lot of time here because I gotta I'm gonna
have to get into the news and then we're gonna
have to turn around and do the the tech talk.

(18:02):
So I'm gonna give you some bullet points on this
and then then we'll we'll dive in a little bit
deeper on the other side of the break. But I
want you to think of the CPI report. It's kind
of like a report card, right, and it checks that's
really how much a big basket of stuff you can get.

(18:25):
You're shopping at the grocery store. Life. You got food, rant, clothes, gas,
all of it inside of it. And the numbers show
us what the costs are on all of this stuff,
and costs did rise just a tad bit month over
the month, but not in all places, and in some
things we're down. We're gonna talk about that good news again,
the good news you won't here anywhere else and the

(18:48):
breakdown coming up after our news a bottom the hour.
We're back after this. Don't go anywhere. Truth, logic and
common sense prevail right here the record straight.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
It's West Michigan Live with Justin Barklay on News Radio
one thirteen hundred and one oh six nine AF air
and on demand anytime on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
Trent. Can it be our good friend? Affordable Eyes Store,
Lake Michigan Drive and stand along the way Grand River Tech.
He'll be talking tech. We got some big tech stories.
Ai Jesus, the pots are talking about us behind our
bats now or vats now and Nvidia Chipdale could bring
billions into to the country from China and it's the

(19:35):
end of an era. We're gonna try and squeeze it
all in coming out. But first I want to talk
about CPI, the Consumer Price Index. Basically, we're talking about
inflation and how they all got it wrong. This is
as simple as it gets. The experts were wrong, Jerome
Power was wrong. The rate cut is more likely now

(19:59):
to late Jerome. We thought maybe that's coming in. They
talked about coming in September. It's for sure, sounds like
it's happening now. And this is the biggest piece you're
going to need to know. Trump was right. Now, let
me explain the CPI and what it means and all
of the numbers and how you're not going to hear
the context today, but if you're listening to us, you'll
get it. First. Let me show you how flabbergas died.

(20:22):
Even CNN is overall.

Speaker 6 (20:23):
Look at the key categories that we always look at, energy,
food and shelter. Energy fell by one point one percent.
That was largely driven because of gas prices falling in
the month of July by two point two percent. Look
at that food. I mean, this is where.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Did you hear that gas prices fell? They certainly weren't
falling under Biden. I can tell you that.

Speaker 6 (20:47):
Much people spend their money, right, that's.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
She's talking about food. The grocery store.

Speaker 6 (20:51):
Food every single day, food flat zero percent and actually
no inflation own at the grocery store.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Prices lower at the grocery CNN CNN folks.

Speaker 6 (21:05):
Byzero point one percent, and then shelter. We always usually
see an increase because that is what people are paying
on rent, and we know that rents are.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Rising, So why it's going higher. She says that you
always see that it's baked in. But a very good
report lower than expected, we're gonna get most likely now
we're gonna get it. We're gonna see we're gonna see
those those numbers coming in, and we're gonna see interest rates.
By the way, we're going to talk to uh, it
may already start impacting in fact in mortgages. Dave Galliie

(21:35):
Heartwin home mortgage tomorrow about nine thirty five in that
conversation with him. So here's CPI in a nutshell, just
so you can understand it. Think of it like a
like a report card for your your your family and
everything you buy. It's a report card of prices, your
shoven ings into a basket like a shopping cart, and
all of these things that you spend your money on

(21:57):
are going in there. The big basket of stuff like food.
She just talked about rent, close, gas, energy, whatever it
was the cost of things now versus before. So you
have month over month, that's how much price has changed
since last month, year over year, how much they changed
since last year. And then the headline CPI Consumer Price
Index means everything everything in that shopping carter in that basket.

(22:23):
Core CPI means everything in the basket minus food and gas,
because they tend to go up a bunch down a
lot too. So here's the deal. July's number. The headline
prices point two percent month over month, that's up just
point two percent, basically flat, and then up two and
a half or two point seven percent year over year.

(22:44):
Price is still going up, but slowly. There's nothing in
there that would indicate the tariffs are making anything worse
at all. That's what they've been trying to sell you,
the bill of goods at the media and the Democrats, would,
I repeat myself, try to sell you core prices point
three percent month over month, three point one percent year
under year, So plane plane takeaway here. Stuff costs a

(23:11):
little more than last month and more than last year,
but not exploding higher gas and the cost of which
went down, and some at the grocery store food make
this feel like really a win, and also in the
fact that you're just not feeling it as much now.
I'm I'm not telling you you're not feeling prices being up,

(23:32):
but those prices have gone up because of Biden. Trump's
tactics certainly aren't making them go up anymore. They're not
adding to the fuel to the fire like some are
trying to claim. And the good news is borrowing mortgages, credit,
all of that could get easier over time. That's going
to depend. We'll talk with Dave Gallaway a little bit

(23:53):
about that tomorrow and get into the latest one. So
hopefully this has made to you. We could spend a
little more time on it, maybe in a later tap,
but I just wanted to make sure you understood it's
a fantastic report. In one You're not gonna hear much
about it at all, because again, they they don't like

(24:14):
to give you good news, not at all.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Tech into the latest in tech and how it affects
you and your world. This is Tech Talk Tuesday on
Wood Radios, West Michigan Live.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
Trent can I be here with us Affordable ice store
likeness can drive and stand down and the folks at
Grand River Tech is always Trent, always a pleasure. Thank
you for being You're trying to make sense of some
of the wildest stories in tech, and we got some
big ones. And speaking of tariff talk and China, the
Chinese deal, they just said another ninety days they're gonna
pause that. So we've got that baked into our conversation

(24:45):
and a couple other things to deal with chips and Nvidio,
all of that. So thank you for stopping in with
us today. We appreciate you.

Speaker 7 (24:53):
Yeah, good morning, Justin.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
So let's break this down. We're getting the stories first
and foremost. In Vidia and AMD have agreed to give
the US Treasury fifteen percent of revenue from all AI
chip sales to China. Fifteen percent of revenue. That's a
big chunk. Billions could be coming in to the United States.

(25:17):
Why is this such a big deal.

Speaker 8 (25:19):
Well, Justin, this is the first time on any kind
of a large scale where the US government has actually
had some kind of a revenue grab a tariff, a
form where there's not even really a proper name for it. Basically,
whatever the sales of Nvidian AMD making chips to China,
their US government is getting fifteen percent. So I guess

(25:42):
it's sort of a tariff, I guess is the closest
thing we could call it.

Speaker 7 (25:45):
And really the reason for it is simple. These chips
can be used for everyday things that people need in China.
They can also be used for very nefarious things. They
can be used for AI military tech. Some of the
most advanced military weapons can use these chips to do
very scary things. And so what this is is the

(26:06):
government saying, Hey, we want to have some kind of
a control on the sale of the sensitive, very high
tech devices being sold to China, and I hope that
they take a portion of that money and use it
solely for the express purpose of monitoring, of making sure
they don't use those chips for things that are directly
attacking us. And we'll see where that money goes. This

(26:28):
is so new, we don't.

Speaker 8 (26:28):
Have that data yet, but it's a very interesting first
and it could be billions of dollars of revenue to
the government.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Yeah. Meanwhile, Trump has said, by the way, I think
it was asked about this yesterday during that big press
conference on DC that these chips they're talking about, these
are chips that China already has in some ways. Well,
this is this is this is another big story one

(26:58):
that it ties in directly tech and the fight. Obviously,
you know as we continue, by the way, the Chinese
export fees will bring in billions, the story from CNBC billions.
What does that do? As you mentioned, where does the
money go and what does it all add up to.
We're going to get We're going to get some of that.
But speaking which record sales, they say EV sales are

(27:22):
soaring as Trump has gotten rid of that seventy five
hundred dollars tax credit you just started forward coming out
with this new deal, they want to come out with
some you know, another push for pickup trucks. I just
don't see the market supporting this. But Trump's getting rid
of that tax credit, and that's why it sounds like
there's been such a rise and a rush for folks
to go out and buy these things before the thing

(27:43):
runs out.

Speaker 8 (27:45):
Yeah, justin there's the tax credit, but there's also remember
dealers have a ton of control over pricing on the
auto manufacturer as well. If they have high inventory levels
and things are not moving, they can provide incredible incentives,
use it as tax right offs, and all sorts of
other things to move inventory. So I don't think that's
necessarily a good sign. It looks like a discounted invernentory

(28:05):
dun't because there's a lot of people in the market.
But we'll see the rest of the year what the numbers.

Speaker 9 (28:09):
Look like.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
On all of this. By the way, we'll keep an
eye on it. Our good friend Trent Kenabi, we're trying
to do a lightning round today, so I think we're
doing pretty good, Trent. Here's AI Jesus, just a story
to make you think about the things that you do
and say with AI and chatbots. But there are a
number of these AI Jesus chatbots. In other words, these
companies have produced these chatbots that pretend to sort of

(28:36):
be Jesus, and in some ways they flat out said
that they are. But it is praying, not pr a why,
but pr why. Some make the case on Christians and
you ought to be aware what you're doing when you're
digging into this. I'm not saying that AI can't be
a resource and maybe assist you, especially if you're looking

(28:58):
at like Bible studying things like that, but don't forget.
You can go straight to the source. You don't have
to ask a robot for forgiveness.

Speaker 8 (29:10):
Yeah, justin is a sad reality of the AI world
that we live in where if you look at the
amount of searches people do with A on a daily
basis and the percentage of time, it's totally wrong. And
that's for things that are everyday things that that don't
affect the most personal, important thing of spiritual matters. And
that's where when people are relying on an AI computer

(29:31):
model for spiritual advice or relationship with with their God
so to speak, that's terrible.

Speaker 7 (29:39):
That's that's that's awful.

Speaker 8 (29:40):
And if you're a Christian you look at the Bible,
it has specific versus that say about impersonators to Christ.

Speaker 7 (29:48):
So yeah, that's very sad, Tred.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
Can it be affordable lifestore like Michigan Drive in Standdale?
Are I last? But certainly not least because we just
flew right through them today. It's an end of an era.
I didn't even know that this was still happening, But
it turns out Aoler, you know, the dial sound, the

(30:11):
most annoying sound of the world, AOL is finally ditching
its dial up service. Uh. And I had no idea
this was it was even a thing, Trent. It's it's
just funny to me, Justin.

Speaker 8 (30:27):
People don't realize it, but the phone line systems that
used to run our internet grid are still widely used
in many parts of our country. And if you have
a copper phone line, like the old fashioned phone lines,
you can actually stick a dial up. And there's still
some people using this. I was surprised that AOL actually
had paid for service. It's been here since I've heard

(30:51):
that sound, Justin, just don't pick up the phone while
I'm on the internet.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
I remember that too.

Speaker 10 (30:58):
Man.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Oh gosh, what a what a world we live in?

Speaker 1 (31:02):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (31:02):
And that's really kind of where it all started. Holy moly, Trent.
Can it be always a always a pleasure, my friend,
And of course Grand rivertech dot Com, where you can
find out more about how to get support for your
business or your organization, your school, whatever it might be,

(31:24):

with us today.

Speaker 7 (31:27):
Yeah, thanks, Justin. If you still got dial up, give
us a call.

Speaker 2 (31:30):

All right, so much, so much. Still you have to

sure that we do it. We're back right after this
on West Michigan Live, Oh go anywhere, setting the record straight.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
It's West Michigan Live with Justin Barklay on News Radio
one thirteen hundred and one oh six nine alf AS
and on demand anytime on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 5 (31:56):
Here are your headlines from the Midwestern or this Tuesday twelve,
I'm Robin Poffman. Governor Whitmer can't just do a back
to school event here in Michigan. She has to dig
President Trump in the process. Whitmer posting to her ex page,
back to school season is in full swing today. I
am at Gerald R. Ford Academy helping teachers decorate their

(32:17):
classrooms to kickstart a great year. But this back to
school is different. Tariffs are raising costs for teachers and
parents across the country. But someone ought to tell Whitmer
the truth, and that is that China tariffs have been
extended by President Trump for another ninety days. A homeless
shelter for drug addicted LGBTQ plus folks is coming to Lansing.

(32:38):
The facility has called a Place for Us. It has
been in development since twenty twenty three and an illegal
alien from Guatemala arrested by Border Patrol agents in Harrison
Township as he attempts to enter Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
The man will be processed for removal from the US.
For these stories and more, visit the Midwesterner at the matter.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
The fight continues and we need you ended up been
telling you this for a while now. The folks at
mentality could help you be the husband, the father, you know,
the man that you were created to be every day
in your calling, on the job or wherever it is.
Here's the truth your body's telling. Try to tell you something.
That edge you used to have, maybe that energy, to strength,

(33:21):
to drive, it's fading. Not your fault though. Testosterone levels
that men have dropped every generation in normal ranges. They lie.
That's why over twenty thousand men I'm the mentality. A
normal doesn't build legacies. And as I said, we need
you in the fight each and every day alongside us.
Become that man you used to be, lived longer and

(33:42):
do it with purpose. Nothing's going to change. And tell
you this, So visit mentalityhealth dot com, Slash Radio and
take your fire back and do it today. Quick phone
calls so they jode through some of these. Plus we
got the fastest hour radio fly by, so we're going
to have to do the after show. And I got
so much to get to today. We're gonna get through it.
Those Epstein files and of course the latest story you're

(34:04):
not hearing on the media, but right here in our
own backyard, I believe we have I think this is
Mark Mark, good morning, Welcome in. You're on West Miskin Live.

Speaker 9 (34:13):
Good morning, justin love your show. I just wanted to
bring up to the residents of the listeners of the
city of Grand Rapids that the Grand Rapids City Commission
is at the meeting today are going to adopt a
climate action adaptation plan. Doesn't sound good?

Speaker 2 (34:36):
Say that one more time, Mark.

Speaker 9 (34:39):
It is this Grand Rapid City Commission that they're meeting
today are going to adopt a climate action adaptation plan.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
What exactly is inside this monstrosity? I can only imagine.

Speaker 9 (34:53):
I don't know that it doesn't sound good. I've just
recommended a lot of the you listeners that live in
the city of Grand Rabits call their commissioners and say,
let's focus on crime and housing right and things that
the residents need, not this crazy stuff.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Yeah, you know. I'm I'm right there with you. There's
so much going on in the city at Grand Rapids.
This this whole climate thing. I mean, you would you
would think it'd be it would be completely debunked by now,
but you know, Breda's got to have her pound of flesh.
And I guess the commissioners did to. I don't I'll
dig into it, but I appreciate Mark. Thank you for
the heads up and again that meeting. That meeting is

(35:36):
happening today. What you did? You know what time folks can.

Speaker 9 (35:39):
Get on believe it in the evening, but I'm not.
I don't have the time on it.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Okay, So all right, well, well di again, thank you
Mark for the latest start you gotta you folks just
want to make sure you're informed on some of these things. Okay.
So I'm looking out the window. I see clouds, uh
and dark kind of storm clouds, but often the distance
we've got some clearing. Maybe we'll get some of that

(36:03):
throughout the day as the rain moves on. No special
statements or anything else that we need to know about
as far as as far as that's concerned. Anyway, do
you think they can change the weather at the you
can change it today when I mean, I don't yeah, no, no,
I don't think that's gonna be happening. But what I

(36:23):
do think will happen. I know this for a fact
because I've seen it before with my own eyes. But
we're gonna get into it. We're gonna dig in, We're
gonna dive deep during the after show, the show, after
the show. Why what's happening in DC? The President clearing
it up, trying to crack down on it all, Why
it matters? Nobody can do a better job at describing this,

(36:46):
I think in plain English than Judge Jennine And now
she is the US attorney there in DC, and man,
oh man, is she a spitfire? Barely see you over
the podium yesterday. But this is what she had to say.

Speaker 7 (37:00):
Here's the problem.

Speaker 10 (37:01):
Assuming that there's seventeen years older than seventeen years old,
I can get the case if they're under eighteen years
of age.

Speaker 7 (37:10):
I can only get the case if it's.

Speaker 10 (37:11):
Murder, rob one rape. Even if they shoot a gun
but don't kill you, I can't get it. So the
law has to be changed, As the President said, counselor's bail.

Speaker 7 (37:22):
That has to be changed.

Speaker 10 (37:23):
All right, then even assuming I get the case, I
get jurisdiction, I get a conviction. The DC Council is
given the judges the ability to give probation on shootings,
and so then it's up to them all of these things,
the Youth Rehabilitation Incarceration Reduction Act, and now they want
to seal records. So if we work hard we get

(37:44):
a conviction, they want to wipe it out.

Speaker 5 (37:46):
So that needs old.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
Yeah, she's talking about some of the biggest problems there.
In fact, I got more from that press conference we'll
dig into on the after show. The show after the show,
Thank you for being here with us folks today. We
appreciate you. As always. More the glenmback program next and
as always, we're back tomorrow. In the meantime, you miss
any bit of what we talked about today, we got
