Speaker 1 (00:00):
By from highatap Monroe Center in downtown Grand Rapids. We're
talking about what matters most to you in West Michigan.
Joined the Conversation now at six one six seven seven four,
twenty four twenty four. At six one six seven seven
four twenty four twenty four, it's West Michigan Live with
Justin Barklay on Wood Radio Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Out breaking news. President Trump's speaking before the dress start
the top military brass in Quantico that just took place.
We'll have the latest that came out of that Secretary
of War Pete Hextas and yeah, we got more details
out of that, the horrific attack at the church in
(00:43):
Grand Blank over the weekend, bringing you all of this
news and more. Straban it's a tatt Tuesday as well,
a story that we touched on yesterday during the after
show that may become one of the biggest stories of
the year. It's already happening in Europe. Could have come
here us weather and traffic.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
I won't his stories of the day. We are talking
about what matters most in West Michigan and beyond. This
is the Big three now see Speak three.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yeah, the stories of matter of mo Shou'd be talking
about these around a water cool at the dinner table.
No matter where you are, good friends, Hartland Home Mortgage,
making sure that you could buy, refly home equity, line
of credit, whatever your needs are, everyone in a specific situation.
They've got custom solutions for each of us. Each time
we've used the folks there, the team, they've got away
and I got to tell you we've saved thousands. They're faster,
(01:38):
they're better than the big banks, and they're willing to
help you in ways that many others won't point you
in the right direction, even if they can. Number one,
that's Heartland Home Mortgage HHM linding dot com. Only hours
left before that shutdown. Here in Michigan and federally Lansing,
lawmakers said they've reached a budget framework, but final votes
(01:59):
still pending. Me while in Washington, the Democrats is gonna
want to get along. They want to shut things down.
You're threatening to stall a stopgap funding bill with agencies
preparing for furloughs, service disruptions, and if no ideals are struck,
expect widespread closures starting tomorrow, they say, speaking of they'll
(02:23):
threaten me with a good time. Is the swamp draining itself.
Over one hundred thousand federal workers as we speak are
set to formally resigned. They're going to exit the payroll
this week under the Trump Administration's Defer resignation program, making
it the largest single year exodus of civil servants in
nearly eight decades. You know what, Mexico is going to
(02:46):
build the wall. The swamp is now draining itself. All
the victims in Sundays attack now accounted for it. That
Michigan church in Grand Blank four killed, eight more injured.
The man responsible killed by police. Investa say the attacker,
Thomas Jacob Sandford, deliberately it targeted the congregation before setting
the church ablaze, engaging in a firefight with police. That
(03:08):
ABI now continuing to investigate, trying to figure out what
the motive is behind what's being called one of the
most deadly attacks at a US church this year. And
it is sad to watch. What else is sad to
watch is the back and forth online as as people
try to make sense of it all. And in fact,
(03:28):
I've got some news I got to get into. We'll
do that so you can square what's real and what isn't.
In fact, I just saw this. It's called, you know,
the Babylon Bee, not the Bee. So the Babylon Bee
(03:51):
has a blog called not the Bee. So all of
the Babylon Bee stories, you know, they're kind of crazy.
They're they're they're satire, is what they are. Right. Well,
they started this blog called not to Be to share
some of the craziest things that are happening in the
world that seem to sound like maybe that's that's so crazy.
I don't know how how that could be put, but
(04:13):
it is. It's this was a real story. It wasn't
some satire they came up with. And they've done some
digging and I want to give you the scoop on
some of the things that are going around, particularly about
the man involved in this attack over the weekend. Let's
get into that coming up, but first give you a
chance away into.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Call Justin now at six one six seven seven for
twenty four to twenty four. That's six one six seven
seven for twenty four to twenty four, West Michigan Live
with Justin Barclay on news Radio Wood thirteen hundred and
one oh six nine a f M.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
You know, they sort of make a good point here,
since everyone's out to prove an agenda. Let's sift through
the propaganda about the man who was responsible for burning
down that church and the attack they're on its folks.
There on Sunday. There's a picture going around right now.
The reason I bring this up is I want you
to be informed, well informed, and it doesn't matter like
(05:07):
it if it even hurts my case, are my situation
or what I might think about. I want to make
sure that you know either way, I want the truth, folks.
There is no better outcome than getting to the truth.
That's just how it is. I don't I'm not here
to propagandize to you. I would say, in some ways,
(05:30):
I don't have a horse in a fight. But my
priorities are clear truth, logic, common sense, faith, family, freedom.
That's what I'm talking about every single day. I see
things through a biblical worldview. That's the lens that I
look at. That's where my politics come from. It's like
that meme is floating around on the internet right now.
(05:50):
It's like a gunshop and they have donuts. And in
the same picture, there might be like a Bible summer said,
whatever the politics are of this', that's what my politics are.
That's that's how I line. Okay, So here's what we
have to clear up for you. There is a photo
(06:11):
that is floating around of the man and he's posed
in front of the Macanol Bridge. Now you obviously you
live in Michigan, you know exactly where this is. It's
a trip it looks like he took with his family
back in twenty nineteen. The picture was tweeted out by
Eric Swallwell at one point, who you have to check
(06:35):
his work anyway, I mean seeing his other guy was
honey potted by a Chinese spy named Feng Feng at
one point, I guess anything he says or does, you
probably have to take a closer look at China. Yeah,
that's probably a good idea. Now, there's a little bit
(06:58):
of consternation online because the man appears to be wearing
a camouflage shirt and then there is a screenprint on
there that says Trump twenty twenty, and it said something
about I think at the bottom about liberals crying or
liberal tears or something along those lines, and it's you know,
it's like any other shirt you would have seen or
(07:18):
could have seen anywhere else. That photo, even though it
has been passed around by Eric swaw Swallwell appears to
be real. Now this may come as a surprise to
some of you. It appears to be real. The bee
(07:41):
takes a stance, and I think this is I think
this is a great point, is that in these situations
people rush to figure out what happened. And I think
in some ways this is why we get conspiracy theories,
because what happens is so bad, It is so horrific,
no matter what it is, especially if you look at
the try Kirk situation. Now, there's some things that don't
(08:02):
necessarily add up there that I want more answers on,
and I want to make sure we get down to
the bottom of fully. So I'm not completely throwing that
out altogether. But look, at the end of the day,
what's happening to you and me and everyone else is
things are so bad. Evil is so prevalent right now.
(08:28):
We do all sorts of gymnastics and jump through all
sorts of hoops to try to understand it. And the easiest,
most simple answer is really Akham's razors, the fact that, look,
we live in a fallen world. Yes, his violence is horrible,
no matter what, whether it's politically motivated or it's just
(08:48):
motivated in this case from a guy who looks like
apparently from everything we need to know more, but from
everything we've learned, had an obsession and had a real
problem with the LDS Church in general as a whole.
Now that's from firsthand information that was given to a
Dave Bondie. We had Dave on yesterday who reported he
(09:12):
talked to a city councilman or somebody that was running
for city council in that area, and the guy knocked
on this man's door. He knocked on this man's door
and found out, well, he got an earfull as he
was doing his canvasing that the guy had a real
problem with the LDS church. There was. In fact, it
(09:36):
went so far that he actually reported it to the
church in Salt Lake City. Now CNN and some of
the other groups have gone at further. Now with all
of this as well, you see Swallowell et cetera, trying
to point out, well, the guy he goes you got
some crazy people on Twitter. Here's this one from Trump
made you broke? Is the person's name? Okay? Sure? The
(09:59):
murder in Graham Blank was quote a maga, another violent
white male. He wasn't a black mail, transgender immigrant look
evil is evil, and it really doesn't matter. I will
tell you we know because John Fetterman tweeted it just
the other day. The study that's been out there, Axios
reported on an earlier is that leftist left wing violent
(10:21):
extreme crime of the violent attacks are on the rise.
He tweeted that just yesterday. The fetterment of all people.
It is a fact. The data does not lie. You
can't dispute that. But in this case, that's not what
this was about. In fact, we've been told, not only
by investigators, but we've been told by some of the reports,
(10:45):
including the one from Day that this did not appear,
at least from the city councilman's perspective, to be a
political situation at all at all. In fact, uh Whitmer
came out and mentioned it the other day. Now, why
do I know the guys is not photoshopped? Because right
now or used AI at least right now, there's a
(11:07):
lot of influencers that are out there passing around or
people on the Internet passing around pictures of this man
and claiming, no, this is the real picture. The guy
was wearing a cameo shirt without the Trump The reason
we know that is if you go back. They had
a page set up to this the son of theirs,
(11:28):
to raise money for a condition he has called hypo insulinism,
I think is what it was called. They had a
they had a page set up to raise money for
the child and all the expenses of healthcare and whatnot
on Facebook.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Now.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
I don't know if it's since been taken down, but
I did see the original yesterday and in the actual
post here from from not the Bee, the Babylonbee blog
that talks about the real stories. They actually they actually
(12:09):
archived the photo. They have it here. It's called Brantley's Journal,
So if you want to go back and look at
I'll make sure I get this on the stack today too,
and you can see it was from September thirteenth, twenty nineteen,
a little over six years ago. And there he is.
There's the original photo. This is from Facebook. It's from Facebook. Folks. Now,
(12:34):
is it possible to change or upload a photo? Yes,
it is that that is a possibility, But at the
end of the day, I don't really think that's what's happening.
I'm just telling you because I want you to know
the truth. It's clear and look, there is why it matters,
(12:55):
because if we get caught in things. In fact, a
lot of times you and I were going to be pushed,
pulled and prodded and poked in so many different directions.
If we get something wrong, they're going to hold us
to account and guess what they're going to say that
everything we're talking about is wrong or discredited. And that's
not the case. In fact, in a day and age
where it matters even more so than ever before, that
(13:18):
we get it right so that when we do tell
people the truth about very serious subjects and things that
they need to know, you got to make sure that
they understand it. So that's the case in the start,
and I'm going to put this up online. It has
become i think in the blog post here on the
on the Bee website, not the Bee. Joel Abbot's the
guy that wrote it. Makes a very good point. Why
(13:41):
do we always rush to figure out and find out
why someone did something or who who did what? Why
don't we just label it for what it is, which
is which is evil In some ways, I think there's
a really good point to be made there. But also,
don't get your head stuck in the sand. And not
ignow knowledge that the light most of the violence is
(14:02):
happening right now, quoting the data. According to even something
shared by Axios and Fetterman himself, Senator Fetterman himself the
other day, that this rise in left wing violent, extremist
radical violence is happening. It is undeniable, it is undernia.
(14:23):
But you don't have to go much further than to
see how CNN and the rest of everybody else wants
to point the finger every time a story comes out. Look, look, look,
the guy was a maga. In fact, that's what the
guy leads with in this story. He was a far
right maggot quote unquote, No, no, no, he was a
left wing demoncrat quote unquote. Folks, evil is evil, and
(14:44):
we don't have to go searching or running or looking
around for it. We've got enough in the world. Uh. Anyway,
that's that's the story. I want to take a truth
logic and common sense why because it matters. We've got
to make sure we keep you up to date with
the latest and continue to do that. And yes, even
(15:05):
more on the way is digital ID coming. It's all
over Europe right now. Could it be headed to America?
That story our good friend tren Kenneby talks about what
it is and why it matters on the way, So
don't go anywhere. I don't want you to miss out
(15:26):
on this one. It's a conversation we got to have
during the after show yesterday, and it's one that you'll
want to pass around and share back after this. Look,
there's enough of the noise right now. And you and
(15:49):
I both know, as I just talked about, that noise
gets really loud. You wish you could push pause on
it sometimes and hear the ideas that really matter for
your faith, for your family, your future. At least fall

Focused on what matters to you. It's West Michigan Live
with Justin Barklay on News Radio one thirteen hundred and
one oh six nine a half AMS and on demand
anytime on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Here are your headlines from the Midwestern Or this Tuesday,
September thirtieth. I'm Robin Poffman. We begin with the Midwesterner
dot news original story. Three members of a conservative Michigan
family featured in a TV program on the Learning Channel
killed by a non citizen after the semi truck he
was driving smashes into their jeep in rural Caste City.
(19:24):
Bill Putnam and his wife Barb, along with their daughter
in law Megan pronounced dead. The three had been featured
in the TLC reality show Meet the Putnams back in
twenty seventeen. A former computer science teacher at Northern Michigan
University will face a jury trial for the alleged assault
of the school's Turning Point USA Chapter President. The incident
(19:44):
involving computer science professor Andrew Schertz taking place last April,
as police say he threw cold coffee on the Chapter
president and President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin at
Yahoo agree to a deal to end the war in Gaza,
still outstanding as a re response from Hamas terrorists who
continue to hold Israeli hostages since October seventh. The people
(20:06):
kidnapped almost two years ago. For these stories and more,
visit the Midwesterner at the Midwesterner dot.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
New agel Idea. They are going hog wild on this
in Europe. Could it be headed to America? The story
you will not one of this we talked about on
the After Show yesterday, and I'm telling you it's a
big one. It's major news. Trent Kenby will talk with
us about what exactly entails affordable livestore, Lake Michigan Drive
(20:36):
and stand out grant VerTech, the latest on this, and
how it's a fight off. Yeah, of course Bill Gates
is behind it. You won't believe who else. All of
that and more and why why they're making the big cell.
President Trump right now as we speak, pushing it, not
this subject, but pushing it well, telling them exactly like
(21:01):
it is Quantico. Some of that speech will dip him
when we come back right here on old Radio.
Speaker 5 (21:07):
By Russia recently and I sent a submarine, nuclear submarine,
the most lethal weapon ever made, number one. You can't
detect it.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
There's no way.
Speaker 5 (21:23):
We're twenty five years ahead of Russia and China in submarines.
Russia is actually second in submarines China's third. But you
know they're coming up. They're coming up. They're weight lower
in nuclear two, but in five years they'll be equal.
They're coming up.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
President Trump's speaking this morning. We are awakening reawakening the
warriors spirit there. But he says in Quantico where they
talk to the generals in that room this morning, it's
some funny things to say before he went there. I'll
get to that on the way. In just a moment,
First Secretary of War Pete Hegzeth on the new standards
(22:02):
that this moment forward, the mission now being restored to
the Department of War is only fighting wars.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
Generals, admirals, commanders, officers, senior listed, NCOs, enlisted in every
member of our American military. Good morning, Good morning, and
welcome to the War Department. Because the era of the
(22:33):
Department of Defense is over.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Interesting both what he said, what President Trump is now
saying during that speech, anything big comes out of it,
will make sure that you hear it. I don't want
to play the full thing this morning, because idiot isn't
addressed to the generals. There will be highlights. You're going
to hear some of those things. But amongst some of
the conversation in an announcement, major announcement in fact, Secretary
(22:57):
of warpete head saying that they're returning to man only
standards in the Department of warwhich is a departure from
where they've been, the politically correct place they've been for years.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
That are arriving at your commands as we speak and
in your inbox today, at my direction, each service will
ensure that every requirement for every combat MOS, for every
designated combat arms position returns to the highest male standard only.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
So what did Trump have to say that kind of
gave me a chuckle before he head it out today. Well,
he's very talking tough. And one of the things he
mentioned before he went out this was I think before
he hopped on Marine one, hag Seth was addressing already
those folks. The President on his way there, saying, look,
if I gotta fire some generals on the spot today,
(23:47):
I might just do that.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
So I'm going over, I'm going to be meeting.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
I'm going to be meeting with generals and with a
mode and with leaders, and if I don't like somebody,
I'm going to fire him right on this spot.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
What a big push it was this morning part of
the speech that I heard coming in Hexeth talking about
getting rid of some of those woke standards, some of
the things that they had been they've been into it,
he said, actually cut into the lethality of the fighting force,
which you know, that's what the militaries made to do,
break things and killed people. And unfortunately some of the
(24:23):
softer edges, you know, softening of things, it made that
tougher to do. Anyway, we'll talk about that, I'm sure
in the days to come, but first I want to
get into discussion today. Then as folks talking not only
and you're about across America as well as people wonder
could this be headed our.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
Way tack into the latest in tech and how it
affects you and your world. This is Tech Talk Tuesday
on Wood Radios West Michigan Live.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
A good friend Trenk. Can it be a fotallized storel
like Michigan Drive and Standale Grand River Tech on the
line with this this morning. And it's a subject we
have been hammering the last couple of days because we've
seen a lot of new it's not to talk about this.
It's happening in Europe. It's like full speed ahead there
but how far is it from impacting us here in America. Trent,
(25:16):
Welcome and let's talk about the digital id why this matters,
and why folks should be concerned. So first and foremost
welcome in, my friend.
Speaker 6 (25:27):
Yeah, good morning, justin.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
If you're thinking to yourself, well, that's just Europe, it's
not going to hit me here. Well, if you want
to take a trip to Europe, you're gonna have to
pay the price, and the toll right now is giving
up all your complete digital ideas.
Speaker 7 (25:40):
Planning a trip to Europe. You're going to have to
hand over way more than your passport when you get there.
As part of a new entry exit system, visitors to
most European countries will have to provide four fingerprints and
a facial photo huh at a self operated Kiosk. The
information will be stored for three years, with the photo
being used for IDEVA location on later visits. Travelers who
(26:02):
refuse to revide their biometric data will be denied entry.
The goal of the program is to enhanced security and
speed up border crossings.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Meanwhile, they're letting all these people in from all over
the world. They don't mind this, And part of this
is the idea that it's not really about securing the
border as they make it there. I mean, obviously they
could just start deportations right now. If that were the case.
There seems to be something much more sinister happening. We'll
talk about those things and why in the digital age
(26:34):
all of these things are so important. Welcome insuring got
a lot of people questioning, wondering. We did a deep
dive yesterday. I thought we'd just kind of barely scratch
the surface for folks on a Tech Tuesday, and then
I want to go further into this down the road
a little bit later on. But why are people so concerned?
Speaker 6 (26:52):
Yeah, justin this is a digital ID for travelers. But
also remember the news is also saying that they are
providing a digital wallet to their citizens, and right now
it's optional, so it's not necessarily required for their citizens.
But this is not just a digital idea. It's a
digital wallet that's all encompassing. So think about bank accounts,
(27:16):
your social media profiles, think about medical services, government services,
you know, voting if they have precincts or whatever. We
use a track whatever their equivalent is for voting related functions.
That's all going to be on essentially government managed system
and process where everything is in one place. It's all digital,
(27:38):
so the government would have access to all of those
things in their control if they want to do whatever
with it. It's called a digital wallet and it would
be owned by their government.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
All right, what would they do? That's great question. Let's
let's maybe dump into some of that first. What are
they doing already? Well, thankfully we fought that war back
all the years ago. It became independent. You know, the
folks in the UK gave up their guns. They give
up their firearms not too long ago. And now people
are being arrested for things they post on Facebook.
Speaker 8 (28:11):
Basically reviewed it and said there offenses there we need
to explore.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Unfortunately, the time is.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
What did this guy post? It was a meme with
the Palestinian flag that said expletive Palestine, hamas Islam want
to protest blank off to Muslim countries and protesting Section nineteen.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
In a second, you have to say having mention one question.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
If you do, say maybe get evidence.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
So the guy the cop there, I don't know if
he has a taste or anything else, but he's got
a pen and walkie talking and he's going to take
the guy in and arrest him. This isn't the first
time we've seen people get arrested for protesting not protesting.
Excuse me, that'd be that'd be like, well, kind of
like what we see here with Antifa and some of
(29:01):
the violence. No, no, no, praying. I get the two
mixed up. Praying outside of an abortion clinic. People in
the UK praying twent trent. This is why, and I'll
paint you a greater picture of what's happening in China
right now, because they've had this for years. Why people
are so concerned. This is where this is going.
Speaker 6 (29:22):
So justin think about if if you were you know,
disobeyed whatever local laws and you know, we're arrested for
whatever they said you couldn't post on you know, social media.
Think about if if you're going to go get a
bank loan, or you're gonna go get a car loan,
or if you're gonna go find a realtor to buy
a house, if these systems are all interoperative, and if
(29:43):
these systems are shared, or if you go to the
hospital and uh, you know, something something happens to you,
and the and the people like doctors or nurses look
at your record and say hey, uh, this person is
politically in this path or way, people look at you differently,
justin we're not used to going to the emergency room
(30:04):
and the doctor being able to see on the back
end what political party. The doctors treat us with respect
regardless of that. So why do we need to share
that info? And I'm not saying that in you're upright
now the doctors can see it, but you're you're paving
this path where that can all be factored into a
person's future in the systems could be used for all
(30:26):
different things. And I think it would go into the
doctor's hands because they're going to definitely suggest mental health
therapy if you think you should be protesting you know something.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
So a minute, do you believe in you believe in
the sky? Daddy? You believe in God? That's what they
call it. Now they say that you believe in sky. Yet, well,
then you've obviously got a mental health issue. We're going
to have to commit you. I mean, this is the
kind of thing that I think people Christians, people of
faith are concerned about. Then all of us ought to
be concerned about how's it working? Forget what could happen?
(30:59):
What about what's happening right now in places like China.
What are they doing there now? China, as we speak.
Speaker 8 (31:08):
A good school brings benefits that people with low schools
lose rights. The cinema names and shames people considered untrustworthy,
plastering their details, even their addresses, across big screens.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Now it's a matter of principle. Those people have to
be condemned.
Speaker 8 (31:26):
How those people aren't honest, so they have to pay
the price.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
Now, I'm just telling you, folks, you could think that
some of this is conswacky conspiracy theory. This is like
fringe stuff. Now it's already happening in China. This is
part of the system of how they do things. Now.
Everything's tied into the digital ID and the digital wallet,
and the AI surveillance, facial recognition, all of it. So
(31:52):
if you get caught jaywalking, they even talk about it.
I think in this piece, you're fine. People in your
neighborhood know what you did. You can't buy certain things
out of certain venning machines. This sounds really familiar to me.
Where have I heard this before?
Speaker 8 (32:06):
It's only right to pay your debts.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
You have to blacklist those that don't.
Speaker 8 (32:09):
The Supreme Court has created a blacklist for so called
bad citizens. Those whose raytems have dropped to zero on
it are companies, but also twenty three million people to date.
Among them is this journalist you who he got a
little too close to uncovering corruption among high profile party members. Oh,
(32:32):
have to be ensued for defamation by the subject of
a story he'd written. He was blacklisted. He only realized
when he tried to buy a train ticket and was
told he was banned from traveling.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Yeah, I don't like what you posted on your Facebook
profile too much, too close to the truth on that one.
This being right here, you're going to have to pay
the price. You can't travel now, folks, this is not
fantasy or fiction. This is fact, and it's happening in
China as we speak.
Speaker 6 (33:02):
Yeah, just remember, governments don't have to do this with
all of these things. But you have to really seriously
look at the people who are implementing these things and
pushing these things and saying, why is it really for
efficiency to better serve citizens or is there some long
term power grabbing, nefarious thing. And I don't even think
we have to look at I think as Americans we
(33:23):
go back to our Constitution. We look at the Fourth Amendment,
the Right of our personal property, search and seizure laws.
If the government has all of this data and they
can do whatever they want with it, even sharing it
with private parties, how is that constitutional. I'm not a
constitutional scholar, but I don't think it's reasonable for the
(33:43):
government to have access to healthcare, what we do on
our computers, all of our information, everything. I just don't
see that as constitutional. There's a serious issue there, never
mind where it can go in the hands of bad
people someday.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Now, you say the government would never do that. I
would never try to tell private companies what to do
or tell people what to say or think. They never
banned you, Well, Google and YouTube just admitted they did that,
not just to me and you, but also to the
President of the United States Trump at the time, they've
just had to settle a lawsuit to twenty four point
(34:18):
five million dollars, that lawsuit brought by Trump.
Speaker 6 (34:24):
Yeah, justin I don't know where they're going to pull
that money from. That's a lot of money. But on
the other hand, they have so much money. Did it
hurt them? Right? There's no is there actually any meaningful
change happened. Was that enough money? Was that not enough money?
What's Trump going to do with the money? I'd love
to know where that money's going now.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
It's probably going to go to some sort of I
don't know, foundation or something. But at the end of
the day, is it enough money? I tell you probably not.
It is enough for them to write an article about
it and for it to be on the record, for
folks to know that these things are happening. It is important. Well,
digital ID isn't the only thing that is making us
at risk. One of the things they're going to use,
(35:06):
I think to get us there is in Ben we
Ford and Bill Gates talk about this. We'll dive deeper
into it a later date. But it's a fact that
you don't know what's posted online, what it's real or not.
I talked about this at the beginning of the show.
Today it's tied in and right now the news story
Hollywood hitting back as an AI actress is hailed as
the next Scarlett Johanson. She's not real, but she's really
(35:30):
causing a stearage fright.
Speaker 6 (35:33):
It's just so with with with AI and with these
i ds. You know, obviously it solves a problem that
they have with what's real is what's fake. But remember
anything that can be faked, These these i ds, these
digital IDs, those can be faked. Look look at our
voter rolls, look at other systems of government where they
have databases of IDs. How do we know if the
(35:55):
digital ID system's not going to be trolled with with
hundreds and hundreds or thought thousands of bad entries to
funnel money or whatever. So it just ushers in a
whole new level of scary if if we're going to
be going down this path.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
