Make sure you are in the know before you go.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Number one, Yes, the stories that matter most Today. President
Trump leaving early the part of the JU seven I
had a schedule back to the see the focus on
Israel and Iran. Lots of questions up in the air,
and we're hearing lots of pizza orders near the Pentagon.
Usually that's code for the fact that they are gearing
up for a long night. Nothing massive, although we do

(02:15):
have breaking news israel Is saying they have just taken
out Iran's new military leader. Don't I don't know if
it's like a job that you really want to sign
up for.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
It doesn't say it like it is a lot of you.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
You know a lot of people like waiting in the
wings there, ready to step in.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
But that is that's the latest headline.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
We also heard yesterday he said that he was asking
people to evacuate immediately over on Truth Social Time, to
get out of around. He said, you know, do what
immediately he warned. He said, we give him so many
options and wanted to get this deal done, but they refused.
Here he is before he left the G seven Yes.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
For Washington Hill.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
I have to be back, very important.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
I want to just thank our great oaths fantastic thanking
of Canada. But you probably see what I see and
I have to be back as soon as I can.
We have dinner with these wonderful leaders, and then I
get on the plane.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
I have to be back early.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
I love that.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
I tell you I loved it, and I think we
got a lot time.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
He he had all kinds of news and the stories
about folks there, the National Security Council, folks meeting in
the secret bunker under the White House. The networks details
still under development. Will continue to give you the latest
updates as they pour out. We appreciate you're sticking with

(03:51):
us for it. Okay, Uh, what else is happening out there?
The FBI in a bombshell. You know, I remember a time.
I'm old enough to remember anyway time when, of course
you will a shadow band for this in the wacky
conspiracy theory tenfoil hat wearing nut job when you talked

(04:11):
about it. But now it appears the FBI has given
Congress intel on alleged Chinese plot to create fake mail
in ballots in twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Now you you.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
May remember the President noted this at one point. He said,
you know, this mail in voting thing not good. They're
gonna print these absentee ballots all over in fact, in
countries all over the world.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
And they're gonna send them in.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
They're gonna send them in and they'll make this thing, well,
they'll rig it.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
That was a.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Concern he had. Now the FBI handing that evidence over
to the Senate.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah, it's an interesting turn of events. Who knows what
took place foreshore.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
But those stories that now that barely scratch the surface
on some of the mainstream folks and their platforms, we
make sure that you hear them first. Hey, we do
have a bit of a a little bit of a
report for you today on the retail sales falling about

(05:21):
point nine percent in May.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
They say, worse than expected.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
As consumers pull back now I want to tell you
this to keep your powder dry.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
And here's why.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Do you think you see a little bit of shift
maybe from an unnecessarily terrorists, but the way they've been
sold on the media. Yeah, I'm sure you'll you'll see
a little bit of that, and you may even see
some actual movement, you know, because of terrorists at some point.
That's a natural thing, I would think. You know, I'm

(05:51):
not a big deal though for most folks who are
anticipating watching this stuff. But there's something that ever everyone
knows in business, okay, and especially if you are uh
in retail, the Jay months are always bad. So the
fact that it was only down point nine percent, I

(06:14):
know you say, well, this is a bunch of.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Cope blowing from you conservatives.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Now I'm just telling you a point nine percent has
nothing to get all bunched up over. I'll just I'll
just say that. But it is a fact and we
are reporting it. So there you have it. But you
know what I find the most important have that ability
to cut through the crud the noise and know the
difference of what matters and why and when. So Jay

(06:40):
Mounds January, June July expect things are off. Why because
it's just after Christmas in January, and then people go
into the summer slump.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Things change, things shift.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
We'll talk about it called Justin Now at six one
six seven seven four twenty four twenty four. That's six
one six seven seven four twenty four to twenty four
West Michigan Live with Justin Barclay on News Radio Wood
thirteen hundred and one oh six nine a f M.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
We've got a major tech announcement that happened yesterday. And
I kind of say that tongue in cheek, but it
is interesting because, uh, I want to talk about what
I think the future is coming in some of these
Uh it was for some of these tech companies, but
the Trump family just launched Trump Mobile. What You're going

(07:28):
to talk about this in our tech segment coming out
with Trent Cannaby about nine to thirty five this morning.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
But uh, look, am I running out to get a
Trump Phone?

Speaker 6 (07:37):
Now?

Speaker 2 (07:37):
No, not necessarily.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
But what I do think and I find kind of fascinating,
is that we are starting to see sort of a
well it's a it's a it's sort of a breaking
up of the big monopolies. And why I think that
matters why I think that supports particularly for you. The

(07:59):
consumer is is big. We're gonna see more and more
of this stuff, I think in the comic days, and
you're you're gonna only well, I think you're gonna only
be happy with the results of it. But they've got
to buy It's not just phones. They've got a whole thing.

(08:19):
They want to give you some sort of roadside protection, coverage,
uh coverage on your phone if something happens to it,
unlimited everything. And they got a US smartphone that they're
that they're talking about now again, I sort of tongue
it you like, I'm not running out to get a truck. Look,
I love the job the president's doing, but I'm not

(08:44):
running out to get a Trump phone right now. I
don't know who might be. I'm usually sort of the
last I'm not an early adopter. I'm sort of the
last on that on that schedule. But he did, and
I'll note this, or they did at least launch this
thing before Elon launched his. So I thought that was
kind of interesting. And you know, Elon's probably got one coming.

(09:08):
Got Eric Prince, who's got a phone. It's not a
phone company, but a phone Elon's phone company the way
that you'll connect, and I sort of assume that this
is how you'll connect with every phone period in the
near future. And I think that's why you're going to
see more of these mobile companies, is you're going to
connect via satellite and probably via Elons deal because you

(09:33):
just won't need to sell towers as much anymore.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
I was out yesterday in.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
The sticks, as they say, at the cottage, celebrating my
wife's grandmother's ninety eighth birthday, which was a fantastic day.
I mean, it's just incredible. You make it to ninety eight,
that's that is something. So we're celebrating and as I said,
we're in the sticks and I got my iPad opening,

(09:59):
I'm working on stuff. Took a little moment to do
just a little quiet out there. It cleared the head
and do some things. And her her hand comes over
and goes, wait a minute, how do you get signal
out here?

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Is your phone get good signal? What kind of thing
you know?

Speaker 3 (10:14):
And I say, yeah, I mean his phone's okay, the
phone's not great, but this iPad's picking up pretty good.
I don't know what it is, but eventually, if you
have the starlink, You're you're gonna be able to pick
up signal. You're gonna get signal anywhere. And I think
that's where we're going anyway, that we're gonna talk about
that today.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
At nine thirty now, nine thirty five ish.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Anyway, there's a lot of back and forth right now
from conservatives. And I want to warn you this is
not just conservatives people that voted for President Trump.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
It's a maga block.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
And by the way, you got to realize that maga
block is not just made up of conservatives. It's made
up of a big conglomeration. Trump was able to open
up that big tent, move the polls out and bring
some folks.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
In all over.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Yes, there are conservatives, traditional conservatives inside that group, yes,
and fiscal and social by the way, right, you've got
the sort of the evangelicals in there. Right, You've got
the the tra joy of the traditional liberals. But this
will really be the the folks that are liberty minded anyway. Right,

(11:20):
there's old Tea Party folks. Right, you got the libertarians
in there, and and and you got some folks that
used to vote Democrat all day long, mostly because that's
just a Reagan Democrats. They were you know, they they
were maybe not necessarily like socially conservative. Maybe some of
them might be. You know, there's just so many different
groups in here, right, but really they want to see

(11:42):
America first. That's what their big bent is, right. These
are people that just want to see everything made in
America again. They want jobs to be great again. By
the way, they've got a great story about this. We
have to talk about this good news because they came
in with an immigration rate and they did one of
these meat packing plans I think it was, and the

(12:04):
results by the way, because they you're hearing all this now,
it's like, oh my gosh, we can't get Americans to
do these jobs. There's certain jobs Americans don't want to do, right,
So this story, this story is a wild because they
came in and rated this place and they made all
these arrests and then like two days later, they had
an office full of Americans filling.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Out paperwork to get those jobs. Isn't that something anyway?

Speaker 3 (12:35):
I just found that to be hilarious. We're gonna talk
about that in one of those stories coming up here
in just moments, so stand by for that. But there's
question about the Mega really the Mega movement splintering and listen,
why the way caution by this is because.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
This was the goal all along.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
They want us you up, they want to separate you
from President Trump.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
That's what they've always wanted.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
We watched this happen with the Elon thing, you know,
a couple weeks back, and now we're watching it happen
right now.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
There's this back and forth with.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Trump and Tucker Carlson, which is kind of funny to watch,
but you got to remember these people, we're all on
the same team. We got different ideas about how to
do things, and we've got different information. What it essentially
boils down to is that there are people, and Tuckers

(13:33):
has made this call. By the way, there are people
who are not happy with President Trump and they feel
like what is happening right now with Israel. And by
the way, I think he's walked this line perfectly. So
don't get me twisted on this. Don't get me wrong.
I think he's walked the line. I don't have any

(13:54):
criticism or complaint necessarily in my mind about how he's
navigated this so far.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
I reserve a right to do that at some.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
Point I you know, if if if I feel like
he has, and I'll I'll bring that up.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
But I I just don't. I don't, I don't. I
don't see it.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
I think he's done a fantastic job with both sections
of that of the Party, of the base, of the
MAGA movement anyway. But there is back and forth. Tucker
Carlson very critical of some of the things, and I'm
just saying I will say this, I don't think Tucker

(14:33):
was critical in a in a way that he was
trying to disc President Trump or anything like that. I
think what Tucker was trying to do was trying to
warn from his standpoint, from his perspective, President Trump and
folks uh in that in that camp there that look
if you're not careful. But I see this all the
time because there's so many different factions, the coalitions. It

(14:58):
used to be how Democrats would do this. They would
bring people together, right, they'd bring all these people under
an umbrella, and all these people felt marginalized in some way,
and of course this was sort of their way of
just reaching out and bringing everyone under the same tent
in order to vote. Now they wouldn't maybe necessarily agree

(15:19):
on everything but these people the difference between what Trump
has done, because he's done that brought a lot of
folks together. However they're not sticking together. Folks on the
left stick together all the time, no matter what. And
you gotta think. And by the way, this is what
this is all about thinking. But you got to think.

(15:41):
It is like when you're dealing with folks on the right,
they traditionally have uh more a capacity of willingness to
use their critical thinking skills. Let me just put it
that way. People on the right think, people on the
left field. And because people on the right think, it

(16:01):
is sometimes like hurting cats, because everybody's got a thought
about how we should do this, that or the other thing.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
And by the way, I don't think that's a bad thing.
I think that's great.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
When they talk about diversity, I think the one piece
of diversity we actually need is diversity of thought. Because
when you let in the marketplace of ideas, when you
let these things, you know, hash it out with each other,
you hit, you know, headbutt against each other, you could
come out the best idea is going to win. And
that is what I think makes us dominant, makes us

(16:35):
great in the world, because we got a chance to
do that. Now we start shutting thought down, and we
start shutting speech down, all that other stuff that's bad
for everybody. But that's again the left. So we'll talk
about this in the meantime. Trump trying to thread that needle,

(16:55):
allow Israel to do what it needs to do with
i Ran. And by the way, you would be thankful
in a lot of ways. The fact that Iran doesn't
come up with a nuclear bomb, I think is great
for everyone. Right But Trump's saying at the same time,
threading that needle, we're not gonna get We don't really

(17:16):
see the need of that right now. We're not gonna
get involved. Are you gonna support Israel the last well
he said, well, we've always supported him.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
See what I'm saying. It's a masterful way to do it.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
But I'll tell you it is causing some issues right now,
not what he's saying or doing necessarily, but the hole
back and forth and will continue down that road. Plus
give you a chance to weigh and let you hit
this subject as well. After this, it's West Michigan Live
back next Formative Engige.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
It it's West Michigan Live with Justin Barklay on News
Radio Wood thirteen hundred and one oh six nine alf Am.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
People watching the Behind the Steins Lives stream with us
right now. Suzanne, Doug, Lorie, Jesse, Sherry, Buddy, Troy and
Moore over on the book today we call them bookers
and a Facebook, Twitter x, rumble Getter locals, you name it,
plus you two. We got so much more to yet

(18:19):
get to a tech talk subject coming up. We're going
to open up the phones let you weigh in as
well today. Where are you on this issue with Israel Iran?
You want the US involved? And at what length that?
And more we get into it all coming up after
this quick break back bottom the hour. News market's open

(18:41):
soon to stick with us. It's West Michigan Live. We
got a big no announcement for governor in fact today
and it's another I think high profile name or individual
that you might recognize in the race. We'll talk about
that coming up in just a moment and a tech

(19:02):
talk segment. Things are happening very quickly. In fact, we're
watching shifts uh in the world of tech on a
daily basis. Our good friend Trent can it be with
us as always to break it all down.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Tack into the latest in tech and how it affects
you and your world. This is Tech Talk Tuesday on
Wood Radios West Michigan Live.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Are you going to get the brand new Trump Mobile?
The Trump Phone? And I love it? It's gold Is it
a golden Trump Phone? I guess that.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
Daily they'll make, you know, a bunch of different types
of phones and things like that. But big announcement Trump
Family in the phone service licensing deal touting a four
ninety night And by the way, this is kind of how.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
They do things. They will license their name on things.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
But a four ninety nine phone made in America, and
the service seems to be pretty affordable too, which I
think is kind of interesting as well. Trent, can it
be welcome, affordable, lizedtore Lake missioned, drive on and stand down?
Of course, Grand River.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Tech is always for breaking some of this down with us.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Today Trent is in the field with the questions and
the answers, and uh tell me, I, Chris.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
The reason why I think.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
This is interesting is I think there's a little bit
more happening in this space than meets the eye. And
I think that Trump am I gotta run out and
get a Trump phone. I don't I look, I vote
for President Trump three times, you know, But I don't
know that I'm gonna run out and get the phone
necessarily right away, although I will tell you right now,
I'm looking at alternative phone carriers and there's one that

(20:39):
I really really like that I've landed on that has
given me sort of I'm looking a little bit further
into it. But Trent, you tell me what is Trump Mobile?
What's the plan here? And what do you see?

Speaker 4 (20:54):
Ye morning, justin Yes, we're going to see more of
this in the future. You think of you know, bitcoin,
meme coins that they're you know, spinning up all these
different currencies digitally, cell service, you know, the big car
the big three AT and T, T Mobile and Verizon,
they own ninety five percent of Cell your service. They
are not allowed to own that entirely. They have to

(21:16):
by law license that out to other people to resell.
So Trump's got to deal with them or his family does,
we should say, has a deal with them to resell
services as his own carrier. And other people can do
this too. We're going to see more of this where
people spin up their own benefits, where they spin up
their own don't plan their own policy they kind of
have a phone or a number of phones figured out.

(21:38):
So something cool about this is the Pricer justin forty
seven dollars forty five cents a month. You like that
little spin on memorable. I hope that stays that way forever,
if that's a thing. And something interesting. This is not
just cell phone service, so this includes some other benefits
like roadside service and even access to telehealth. So they're

(22:01):
not just bundling cell service. They're trying to add in
some other benefits to people.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
And so it is very.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
Interesting what they're doing here. They're obviously leveraging Trump's influence
and his reach and his space to provide a cell
phone service. And it's been stagnant in the cell phone
industry for years. It's cool to see different people competing
and trying to start up their own services because when
there's competition and then prices might come down a little.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
You know, it is interesting you're talking about all these things,
and it makes me wonder. It makes me think about
what what is it going to look like? So I
told you I'm looking at an alternative phone carrier right now.
The one I've been using is one of the standard
you know, big ones for a while now, and it's
just an arm and leg every month, and I don't
really love. You know, one of the things I don't

(22:45):
love is how much of that money they take and
put it to like causes that I'm just not a
fan that just completely opposed to.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
So you know, that's that's one of the things I'll
tell you.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
This is like I've been thinking about this for a
long time and I just finally hit the point, the
breaking point this weekend where I said, I can't do
this anymore. Let me go look and see what's out
there and really start digging into this stuff. And I
was almost ready to flip the switch this weekend and
get it done. I do think there are going to

(23:19):
be people that are going to shop based upon their ideologies,
how they line up politically on certain things, or in
any number of different ways and issues, right. But I
also think the technology that's here right now is going
to give us that ability to do that, probably now
more than ever. I just mentioned this Starlink. Elon's got

(23:42):
this up posted right now over on x and he's
mentioning that they're going to do starlink fifty dollars a
month from anywhere and this is.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
What it says.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
It literally says, stream call, game and work in even
the moment. MOS remote locations order online in minutes fifty
dollars a month for up to two hundred mbps. Now
that's not the fastest you can get, but that's pretty
stinking fast, isn't it.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Yeah, justin, that's plenty fast for ninety percent of the
average Joe's needs. That would work just fine. What Starlink's
doing justin. Some people saying this is, you know, Elon
trying to get some energy going into his company here,
get some new customers. But that's actually not the case
here Starlink because deploying satellites, you know, at yearly thousands

(24:31):
of satellites. The more satellites they have, the cheaper they
can provide this service because there's no more infrastructure there
to serve people with higher speed. So this is all
part of their long term game plan. The pricing is
going to continue to go down slightly and the speeds
are going to continue to go up. And there's tons
of people using starlink. It is a great service. We
have clients that are using it and it works really

(24:53):
really good.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
I just think that this is what we're watching is
the future of these things and the affordability of the
cell phone and let's just call it data communication, data transfer,
things like that getting cheaper because at the end of
the day, you don't have to always use the cell towers,
which is sell companies out, et cetera. You can start

(25:15):
using these satellites. At some point, Elon's going to be
in that game and you're gonna be able to do
that all from your phone. I think it's going to
be a very interesting time, Susan says. We have straight talk.
It's about forty six dollars a month unlimited, no contract.
So with Trump Mobile you're cheaper, very similar plan unlimited.
Now is there a contract? That's a good question. Will

(25:35):
there be a contract involved? And I think if if not,
that's another thing that in the cell phone game and
then in that in that industry does drive a lot
of people in sort of to the into the tent. Okay,
a couple other big things in shifts. All right, we
talk a little bit about Apple coming up here in
just a little because we get the full announcements from
last week and we'll we'll we'll go through some of

(25:57):
those coming up here in a little bit, but this
the New York Times today. I just saw this earlier
on Dredge. I said, well, that's interesting. It kind of
fits in with what we're talking about today. It's official
streaming is now the king of TV. In May, more
Americans watch television on streaming than on cable and network
television combined. Nielsen said, it is the first time it's

(26:18):
ever happened over a full month. I don't know about you,
but Trim, I very rarely watch television live anymore period,
and watch television at all, really, but when I do,
nine times out of ten, the service I use is
all streamed anyway.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
And I'm just floored with it. I love what I have.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
It's cheaper, I cut the cord a long time ago,
and I'm by the way. I'm just I'm very very
happy with it. And I think it's this has become
a thing for a lot of.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
Folks justin This is thanks to technology again, you know,
has allowed small people individuals on different platforms to create news,
to go live, to have these different social media platforms
that aren't even meant to be a news agency but
are used in some cases as legitimate news agencies, in
some case not but that's all thanks to technology. We

(27:11):
don't need these massive, multi billion dollar companies with monopolies
on the content and on the cable infrastructure or the
dish in the old day's infrastructure to own streaming services.
Now anybody can get anything they want with an Internet
connected device and it's not totally owned and cornered. And
I think as time goes on, that'll be even more

(27:32):
accessible to average people to go online and get their news,
get streaming, get whatever content they want digitally as opposed
to that traditional method.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
Yeah, I absolutely love it. I have a favorite. If
you ever want to ask me about it, you can.
I'll tell you about it. But you know, the point is,
I think this is the area we're headed in. This
is where we're going. All right, let me ask you
Trent about Apple. Let me big announcements. We see that
they're completely changing a lot of the software, the iOS

(28:02):
and things in not just the phone but in the iPad.
That with some of the announcements, anything massive or big
from those announcements last week that we need to make
sure we hit on.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Yeah, justin So last week announcements were mainly software upgrades,
some phone call screening, some really cool thing software upgrades. Remember,
Apple didn't necessarily invent the computer, they just made it
work really well. So even though they might not catch
the headlines as having the best camera system in the
world or whatever, they do have software improvements, and in
the last five or ten years, that's what has made

(28:34):
Apple really a great company. That's what made people love
their devices, that the software works great. On the hardware front,
there's been some rumors leaked since last week that are
saying they're going to completely redesign and improve significantly their
flagship computers, their MacBook Pro line of laptops. And I
don't know if that leak was intentional because the updates

(28:55):
were a little hardware light last week. They didn't mention
too many hardware advancements. But obviously Apple's looking at their
financial statements, they're looking at people want tech that works better,
that's faster, that's more affordable, and I think Apple's going
to definitely deliver that in the coming years because they've
been a little bit slow with hardware releases.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
Yeah, we'll keep an eye on it.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
I thought the call screening stuff is probably some of
the coolest out of everything that I seen. People that
have the iPads love the fact that you can move
the windows around now, particularly the iPad. Many people that
just love that thing. So there's some of that cool
stuff that's out there and nothing earth shattering, but if anything.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
That does happen, we'll let you know.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
By the way, you ever have a question with any
of your devices, you have a handheld or a personal device,
anything of that nature, Affordable eye Store dot com is
where you can go.

Speaker 2 (29:49):

I I'm Robin Poffman.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
We begin with a.

Speaker 7 (32:43):
Midwesterner Dot News original story. There's a population shift in Michigan,
and our governor doesn't seem to have a plan. New
data shows under Democrat Governor Whitmer, seniors now outnumber kids
in more than half of Michigan's counties. This has significant implications,
less kids enrolling now in our schools and a growing
demand for senior citizen housing and services.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
Being on the scene is much better.

Speaker 5 (33:08):
And we did everything I had to do in the
G seven.

Speaker 7 (33:10):
We had a good G seven And with that statement
on board Air Force one. President Trump leaves the G
seven summit in Canada early and returns to the White
House to deal with the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.
He tells reporters pretty well.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Right now, we know him pretty well.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
Remember Frank cannot have amab your weapons every.

Speaker 7 (33:30):
Seven and Trump to meet with his national security team
at the White House today. For these stories and more,
visit the Midwesterner at the Midwesterner dot news.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
Fastest staring radio is flying by already, folks, Big day,
much more coming in the after show the day. We
want to say thank you to the folks at Mentality
powering this program today and every.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
Day menu matter.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
We need you in a fight now more than ever
to be the best husbands, the best fathers.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
We just said Father's Day the other day.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
A big round of applause for men stepping up out
there in their role is father's, grandfathers, and maybe even
your calling on a daily basis. Whatever it is you
do that you're called to do, you gotta be at
your best. And if you're that, sometimes things get in
the way. Testosterone is one of those issues and it
may not even be your fault. The folks at mentality

(34:24):

Speaker 5 (35:01):
Has seen politicians campaign ads guy it's soccer today.

Speaker 6 (35:05):
Feel they're a little too perfect, red your my soccer
book and what else sticks out on their ads? A
lot of me myself and I I've always been a
team first guy. We were state football champs. I played

(35:26):
nose tackle. Not exactly glamorous. As a prosecutor in Flint.
I worked with our law enforcement to keep us safe.
When I served as Michigan House Speaker, we led with
conservative principles. But the most important team I'll ever be
on this family, Michigan Anders. We're on the same team too.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
The problem is.

Speaker 6 (35:53):
Lancing is using a losing playbook. I'm running for governor
because Michigan needs to start winning again. We'll cut the
waste in Lancing, lower taxes, and make Michigan more affordable,
fix our schools by empowering parents, not government, and strengthen

(36:18):
our economy by getting government out of the way. No
one is tougher on crime. And as President Trump protects
our border, I'll have this back. Want to know why
people keep moving out of Michigan because we're forty ninth
in unemployment. Unless than four and ten kids can read.

(36:41):
We've got three reasons why we're not leaving. And that's
why I'm going to work so hard with you as
your governor to fix our state.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
Tom Leonard running and again I think I said a
former attorney gent what I meant as former Speaker of
the House. Nike Cox is in the race of former
attorney general. So you got a long list of folks
now stacking up. And by the way, I think I

the beginning. We'll continue to bring you some of these
