Speaker 2 (01:44):
They have a big stories floating. Another big Supreme Court
win for President Trump. The court ruled he has full
authority to continue reducing the size of government. This was
an easy one from the beginning. Some of these cases
you've got a question on which way the Court's going
to go on some of this. But to me, it
was obvious either the executive right, the executive branch has
(02:10):
a chance that they have the opportunity they have the
ability to actually execute or not.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
It's plan and simple.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
And I'll be a gread were for the Trump administration
as they continue to try and make some ground. It
takes a ground. They're in a stuntic plot twist. This
one's wild. The FBI now investigating its own Owen, also
head of the CIA as well. That's right, FBI is
now investigating former leadership of both agencies, both officials, for
(02:44):
their roles in the twenty sixteen Russia collusion hoax. That's
the Russia Russia Russia narrative. The focus on whether political
bias played a role, as we all know you did.
We're talking about Comy, we're talking about Brennan, and we're
(03:05):
talking about some serious charges. Was their misconduct involved influencing
or an attempt to influence the launch of that investigation
and thus the twenty sixteen election into then candidate Donald Trump.
They tried to orig it in twenty sixteen and twenty twenty.
The internal reckoning comes as questions resurfaced now that the
(03:28):
origins of it all and the actions of those inside
the intelligence come.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
In and a story that's not going anto are any time.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Soon, although it remains to be seeing what does in
fact happen.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
We are in the find out era, folks.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
That's one thing that I take a little bit of cusp.
This is a little bit of comfort in it continues, folks.
The search and rescue. Now recovery that is happening down
in Texas. Heartbreaking update official is now confirming one hundred
eleven people dead one hundred and seventy three still missing.
(04:08):
The catastrophic floods over the weekend. Entire communities have been
wiped out, Rescue crews working around the clock in desperate
search for the survivors, being called one of the deadliest
natural disasters in the state's history. Meanwhile, I don't know
if you've been watching this, but we've got flooding down
in New Mexico too. Hang on, let me get to
(04:28):
these videos that are coming out. It's it's wild to watch,
but it is.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
It is.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
I've seen some of the houses just flying by. Have
you seen any of this? It's uh, it's it's tough,
especially after the latest. We've had some flooding here recently
in the last couple of days that have really gotten
folks concern and potentially about things like cloud seating. And
(05:01):
you see that sounds a little tenfoil hattish. Well, it
is something they do. In fact, there's companies out there
that have been working on the question is how effective
is it. Glenn today on the Glenn Back Program, with
an interview, a conversation with somebody who runs one of
those companies.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
You won't want to miss that coming up on what Radio.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Call Justin Now at six one six seven seven four
twenty four twenty four at six one six seven seven
four twenty four twenty four West Michigan Live with Justin
Barclay on News Radio Wood thirteen hundred and one oh
six nine a half AFS.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Here's some of that footage coming out of the floods,
and this one in the in New Mexico, and the
town is called Ruly Doso, really Doso in New Mexico,
and the water's just raging by. If you haven't seen
it yet, it is it is hard to watch, but
there it goes. It is just just like it looks
(05:56):
like just like a shock, almost like chocolate just flooding
through because all of the mud flooding through that town. Now,
part of the reason why they're experiencing this right now
is that they had wildfires last year, and so they
had a lot of that area that was torn up
because of those wildfires, and it made it tougher. Obviously,
(06:19):
there wasn't a lot of cover on the ground, and
some of those things or what keep the ground from
from breaking loose and this this type of thing from happening.
But the other question is, well, how much of this
is due to things like the cloud seating things that
we've heard of. Here we go, here's what I was
a house coming by. Oh my god, this is the house.
(06:42):
This is the wildest thing I've seen. An entire home
or cabin or cottage. It looks like swept away. It's
not a mobile, and this is a home swept away
off its foundation and it is. It is floating down,
maybe not a thousand square feet idle though maybe maybe
(07:03):
more or less, but it's floating down beneath Wherever these
people are watching this, it's floating down beneath them. And uh,
they've got like a deck that they're they're standing on.
Holy I just can't imagine.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
That's just crazy to watch this and there it goes
floating by. We continue to pray for those folks and
the folks in the in the areas they're in Texas
and beyond where they continue to have issues there as
they are searching and right, yeah, there's still chance for miracles,
(07:42):
and we hold out that hope and as we pray
for the families that are going through the just unthinkable
loss at this moment in time.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
And yeah, I don't, I just it's it's unimaginable. It
is unimagined.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
We're gonna a chance to join the prom at any
time if you like, you can jump in at six
one six seven seven four twenty four.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
That's the double a doll in six one six seven
seven four twenty four.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
You can also h if you'd like, join on the
iHeartRadio app. Now. The easy way to do this is
there's a little talk back feature a button, a microphone
button that when you click, it'll record you and then
it'll it'll send it right to us. So you can
sound off, rant, rave, uh, you know, whatever you'd like
(08:35):
to say, and uh, this is a great way to
send it right to us. You don't have to went
on the phone line. We love talking to you. But
I'm just saying some people prefer this.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
All right, let's dig into this a little bit, a
little bit more.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
I've got good news that I want to talk about
in in moments today as well, which is the Trump
administration make it easier for folks to get houses and course.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Cheaper in some way.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Is going to talk about that they've got away with
this a little bit later on and Mike Rogers, former FBI,
former Congress and we might have to ask him about
this story out of the FBI launching the criminal investigations
of John Brennan and James Comy. According to d o
J sources Fox News reporting, it's it's well, again, I'm
(09:21):
all of this stuff. And again, especially after we watch
what's taking place with with Epstein, et cetera.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
It's something that we have to.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
I'm consciously optimistic, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
I guess it's probably the best way to put it.
So you gotta uh, you gotta wonder. And this this
is you know, this is something that it's it's it.
It could implicate an entire it could implicate an entire
(09:56):
slew of people, and this one you would call them
a deep state. And that's that's that's that's what we're
talking about. These are the people unelected, that's what we're
talking people that are just behind the see administrative These
are the people that they feel like they're not going anywhere.
So when Trump, an outsider, came into the scene and
(10:18):
onto the scene, it came down that golden escalator back
in twenty fifteen. That's that's when they jumped in. First,
they laughed, and they sort of you remember, they sort
of ostracized the there is no way.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
This is gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
And then once it became a very real situation, they said,
we got to pull out all the stops. You remember,
struck stroke and the whole you know, insurance policy and
all of that. That's what we're talking about here. Turns out,
and we've been saying this the entire time, the very
people who pushed the biggest tokes in America and the
(10:56):
probably the history of the country politically anyway, the Russia
collusion hooks are now under criminal investigation. According to sources
inside the DOJ. John Brennan James call me, Obama's CIA
director and FBI director are being investigated for allegedly lying
(11:17):
the Congress.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Now, my question is how far up does this go?
What adn Obama?
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Though?
Speaker 2 (11:26):
When did he know it? I think you probably already
have the answer to that, we both do. But now
we're starting to get some questions answered here. And of course,
when you testify in front of Congress, this is where
they take the fifth and all of that, because you know,
there's certain things they can and can't say.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
You get caught in these traps.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
So the question is did they lie to Congress and
did they possibly engage in a criminal conspiracy tied to
the twenty sixteen Russia probe?
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Well, you and I have our own gut on this,
we have our own idea. Well translate this for.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
Some of the folks in the mainstream media Lester Holton
the Nightly News and Anderson Cooper.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
The rest of them too.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Busy, too busy paying pay attention to the latest celebrity gossip,
Biden's ice cream preferences at the time here, or who knows,
whatever they're upset about with Trump today, whatever it could
that Trump arrangement syndrome, knows it abounds, the deep state
(12:31):
being called to account here. Brennan peddled the Pony Steele
dossier like it was gospel. Call me stood in front
of the country justifying spying on a presidential campaign based
on lies, all of it based on lies, remember, by
the way, and now we find out years later that
they have may have lined on eer Earth as well, all.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
To make it stick.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
So the question here is where CNN now where's msdnz Hey,
where's pencil that shift? Remember his whole I've seen the evidence.
Well he's another one. They're all silent. As I mentioned, though,
(13:15):
this is the thing that you got to tell and
I do. I think the grain of salt, But this
is much bigger. It goes beyond Comy and Britain. It's
not just about them, It's about what they represent. They
corrupt intelligence establishment believed it could override the will of
the American people that install its own preferred president. And
(13:36):
I'll tell you this as many people that are a
part of this and that are in the corrupt sort
of let's climb the political ladder piece.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Of this, right, the deep state.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
There are good people inside these agencies that have seen
this and it has turned their stomachs and they want
to see accountability just as much, if more than we do.
So you got the walls closing in now, this time
not on Trump but on the architects of the lie.
(14:13):
And if the DOJ right finally has the backbone to
see it through, and that is a big question, it'll
make Watergate look like amateur hour.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
And that's a fact.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
But don't expect the media to cover this fairly obviously,
that's they were in on it. They're just as much
as part of this whole deep state conspiracy. They're just
as much as part of it as the FBI, the CIA,
all of these folks complicit cheerleaders for a lie that
divided the country for years. Really that a lot of
folks at Trump Arrangement syndrome today fell for hook line
(14:53):
and snkred have left them deranged in somebody ways. That
doesn't look much further than the comments section of any
of us social media pages on Facebook, act, any of
these places.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
So here's the challenge. Don't forget what they did. We're
not gonna let them rewrite history.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Don't stop demanding the truth no matter what happens in
the coming days.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
I understand.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
A lot of the things that are coming at us
on a daily basis are meant to make us feel
like there's no hope and it's all lost and there's
nothing we can do, and there's never gonna be an accountability,
nobody's ever gonna be arrested, etc. But I'm telling you
right now, don't stop the fight. Don't stop demanding the truth.
So if we lose that, we lose the country. So
stay loud, stay vigilant, stay tuned, and stay free. Back
(15:56):
in just a moment, folks with more and you right
after this on West Michigan Labe at first. If you're able,
please join me in stan in honoring our nation.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
With its anthem.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Informative, engageing. It's West Michigan Live with Justin Barkley on
News Radio WOULD thirteen hundred and one oh six nine
a FM.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
Here are your headlines from the Midwesterner this Wednesday, July eighth.
I'm Robin Poffman.
Speaker 5 (17:40):
I'm shocked about as still. I would have never guessed
he would have done this.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
People who knew the Michigan man who opened fire on
border patrol agents in McAllen, Texas stunned to learned he
planned the ambush. This former classmate tells WPBN News.
Speaker 5 (17:57):
I've never seen him get angry or violent with anyone.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
Ryan Luis Muskata, who went to Lunnington High School, fired
dozens of rounds at the entrance of that border patrol station.
He injured at least two police officers and one Border
patrol employee before he was shot and killed. This Friday.
President Trump expected to visit Texas in the aftermath of
the massive flash flooding. Approximately one hundred and seventy people
(18:23):
remain missing this morning, at least one hundred and eleven
people killed. For these stories and more, visit The Midwesterner
at the Midwesterner dot news.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Hey, we're back after he coming up next to Mike Rodgers,
former Congressman, former at THEI well, I have been way
in on the latest on the FBI Ciapstein, but also
I want to talk about big beautiful Bill. What's inside
of it? Some folks all excited, but they need to
know more, right and I think it's a it's proof
of why this next election in twenty twenty six is
(18:52):
so important. We'll get his take on it and more
coming up after this. Don't go anywhere. It's West Michigan Live.
I'm justin Barclay. Our news coming up bottom of the
hour right after this.
Speaker 6 (19:05):
But today we are taking this purpose and our American
farmland back. American agriculture is not just about feeding our families,
but about protecting our nation and standing up to foreign
adversaries who are buying our farmland, stealing our research, and
creating dangerous vulnerabilities in the very systems that sustain us China.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Well, it is a wild story. We just played.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
In fact to off the air. We just played the eclip.
This is back from twenty twelve. People have been working
and talking about this for a long time. But it
was Mike Lindell, my Pillow CEO, on a radio show
I miss in the morning. And I don't know if
you remember that back years ago twenty twelve, talking about
China being a problem buying up cotton fields, how they
(19:55):
manufacture pillows, etc. It's a big story, in fact, one
that just broke yesterday as they make that announcement that
was a Secretary agg book rollins there. Trump administration just
announcing a fleet total crackdown on the Chinese Communist Party
linked ownership of farmland nationwide.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
It's a massive threat.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
It's all part of what we've been seeing happening in
the first six months of the administration. On the full
line with us right now to talk about this when
and the one big beautiful bill in so many other
things is Mike Rogers, former congressman here in Michigan running
for Senate. Might appreciate you taking the time to be
here with.
Speaker 7 (20:26):
Us today justin always good to be hon. I hope
you and your family enjoyed a great Independence Day celebration
this last weekend.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Oh it's fantastic, Thank you so much, and one that
I felt like, probably more patriotic than ever before.
Speaker 7 (20:41):
Yeah, we did too. It was great. We had our
my nieces all came over, We had all the kids
splashing around in the lake. It was it was great.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Love it.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
Nothing better. Hey, this is a big story. We've been
talking about this for a while. You've been on the
forefront watching this, especially a story about Goshen here in
West Michigan. But what do you make about this latest
big move from the Trump administration.
Speaker 7 (21:08):
Due you know, for those of us who have been
you know, bringing this bell on China for a long time,
they are strategically interjecting themselves into farmland and strategic areas
and other property by the way, that's close to sensitive
installations around the country. And as somebody said, well you can't.
(21:30):
They can't. It's not like they can take it with them, no,
but they can interrupt. Imagine if they have thousands and
thousands and thousands of acres of production land and they decide,
you know, overnight, that they're not going to allow food
to be produced there. That's going to take us a
while to get that worked out. And that's thousands and
thousands of acres of food that isn't getting produced in
the United States. So I do think that we need
(21:52):
to restrict those countries who do not wish America well.
And you know, at the end of the day, we
need to understand China is not our friend. They are
not our ally. Yeah, and they are here and probably
not for great purposes that they're buying this land.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Mike Roger's with us right now. A lot of folks
very happy to see that being taken. Seriously, got to
ask a question. I knew you'd want to weigh on
this too. We got really good news we got to
talk about with the big beautiful Bill as well. But
yet we just had a breaking news yesterday. Both looks
like Comy and Brennan, former head to the FBI and CIA,
(22:30):
under investigation for their roles and what they're calling the
twenty sixteen Russia probe and the hoax here of Russia,
Russia Russia. And look, I've just been talking about this.
I know you were involved obviously as somebody in the FBI.
There are so many good people inside both of these
agencies that have had enough watching these things be politicized
(22:51):
and weaponized and are glad to see this happen. Finally
things are being taken. I think a closer look at this,
whether or not they lied to person, maybe what their
roles were knowingly trying to disrupt that election, and further on.
Speaker 7 (23:07):
Oh absolutely. I mean when you start looking at the
glaring mistakes that were made and what was so disingenuous
about this in the beginning is people like Brennan and
people like Comy who were saying, well, you know, we
have access to classified information that you can't know, so
basically you need to trust us that this is exactly
(23:28):
what's happening. Then you come to find out, guess what,
none of it wasn't happening the way they were saying
is happening, and they were very very aggressive. So if
John Ratcliffe, who's the current CIA director, refers material to
the Department of Justice for prosecution, I can tell you
they have content there that is going to get these
folks in trouble. That they were purposely misleading information to
(23:52):
go after President Trump for political purpose. I mean that
deserves investigation. And again I think most off, not all
of the politicization that rained in on the FBI came
through Comy. I just it started. Then it seemed like
it got worse, and then I just don't think Director
Ray had the moxie to get it fixed up.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
We're joining us right now is former Congressman, former FBI
on Mike Rodgers and on the campaign trail for Senate
as we speak. You know, we just had a massive
win this week, and we've we've had a several weeks
of when stacking up. But with the way the news,
it's just like a flood these days. It's like drinking
(24:37):
from the fires. I always say, but it's hard to
keep up with it. All folks have been asking about
the One Big Beautiful Bill, and I think it really
underscores the importance getting this bill through and passed, of
making sure that President Trump has allies there at the
Capitol that can help get his agenda passed and through.
And a Speaker Johnson just just released this yesterday.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
But this is a a.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
List of executive orders cutified in the One Big Beautiful Bill,
and it is everything from borders to taxes and all
kinds of issues that I know folks have wanted to
see take place.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
I got it on the screen now so people can
take a look at this.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
But I know you were happy to see this come
through a lot of the big wins. But you know,
it's just the beginning.
Speaker 7 (25:23):
Oh it is. It's just the beginning. And I tell
people who say, oh my gosh, it's spend too much. Yeah,
it did spend too much. But this is the first shot.
This is the down payment on getting everything realigned to
where I think Americans believe their government should be, which
is smaller and less intrusive. The investment that they made
in American business is huge, with accelerated depreciation, that's going
(25:47):
to be a boom to the economy. The fact that
they put money in secure to help secure the border
forever more, not just you know, temporarily for the last month.
The fact that they are reducing seeing the cost of
medicare by taking out, by the way, illegal immigrants, about
one point four million of them who are on Medicaid
(26:08):
that we're paying for. And you have able bodied Americans
who are fully capable of working, taking Medicaid and not
doing anything. And what this bill said is, hey, you
just you know, we want to help you, but we
also you've got to help yourself, and you've got to
help your community. We need you to be out there
at least twenty hours a week doing something. All of
(26:28):
that is really positive and it's it's really good, and
it is this first round and that's what again and
why Yes, the last election to me maybe was probably
the most important in my lifetime because had we can
imagine what the world would look like under Biden two
point zero. Here, we want to be in real trouble.
So we've got all of this, but this, this is
(26:50):
a continuing effort. Took thirty years to get in this spot.
We've got to take, you know, this next round of
elections seriously so that we can continue to do the
kinds of things you saw in the bill, including, by
the way, stopping democrats wish for the largest tax hike
in American history. That bill stopped that, and it took
(27:11):
care of work and people. No tax on tips and
no tax on overtime, no tax on social security. I mean,
these are really important things that are going to impact
Michiganders right around their kitchen table. And I'm pretty excited
about all of those efforts.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
Yeah, still much to be done.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
I know, folks want to see a lot of the cutting,
the waiste, fraud and abuse, and I know that's coming
in days down the road here, but again just makes
that point. If you thought twenty twenty four was serious,
and it was, twenty twenty six remains even more serious
to make sure the president can continue to get the
job done. He's moving at record speed right now, but
(27:49):
there's still lots lots.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
To be done.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
And I know, as Mike Rogers running for Senate here
you plan to be a big part of that. Rogersfirsenate
dot com. Anywhere else people can stay up today eight
maybe reach out and get.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
A hold of it.
Speaker 7 (28:02):
That's the right place, Rogers for Senate dot Com. I mean,
we've got co chairs and captains volunteering all over the state.
We're well past our original one hundred and twenty three
co chairs covering all eighty three counties, and so we
get on there. Let's get this thing done. If you
believe the last one is important. We took the beach.
(28:24):
Now we got to take some land here and that
that's what happens in twenty twenty six. So you can't
let the US House go otherwise it's going to be
impeachment central they've already introduced bills, and they just wanted
to throw every branch they can. They even took the
President to court the Democrats justin to say, you couldn't.
You couldn't. Restructure the workforce. No permanent employment at the
(28:46):
federal government. I've never seen anything quite like it. The
Democrats support that, but they're not very worried about us
losing UAW jobs. This is that important. This next phase
is equally as important. We need you. Rogers for Senate dot.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
Com Mike Rodgers. Always a pleasure, my friend, Thanks so
much for taking the time today.
Speaker 5 (29:04):
Hey, thanks justin.
Speaker 7 (29:05):
Great to hear your.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
Boy, former Congressman, former REPI Mike Rodgers running for Senate
here in Michigan. Rodgers for Senate dot Com. Good news,
in fact, more of it coming out. President Trump of
the administration is just making more bold moves to make
housing more affordable and easier for folks to get. It's
it's something I think you want to keep an eye
(29:26):
on the fact. We get the latest with our good
friend Heartland Home Mortgage Dave Galloway coming up after this.
Don't go anywhere. It's West Michigan live the stories. You
won't hear anywhere else.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
Continue setting the record straight.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
It's West Michigan Live with Justin Barklay on News Radio
one thirteen hundred and one oh six nine a f
ass and on demand anytime on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
Here are your headlines from the Midwestern or this Wednesday,
July eighth. I'm Robin Poffman.
Speaker 5 (29:55):
It hurts my feelings.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
Here in Michigan.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
People who went to Luddington High School with Ryan Luis Muskada,
who opened fire on Border patrol agents in Texas stunned
to learn he plotted this ambush. This former classmate tells
WPBN News.
Speaker 5 (30:12):
I'm shocked about as still, I would have never guessed
he would have done this.
Speaker 4 (30:17):
Now the fed SA Moscada fired dozens of rounds at
the entrance to the Border Patrol facility in McAllen. He
injured at least two police officers and one Border Patrol
employee before he was shot and killed.
Speaker 5 (30:29):
I've never seen him get angry or violent with anyone,
and I was in a school with him for over
five five or six years knowing Ryan. He was an
amazing kid, gifted, very smart.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
News out of Texas in the flood zone gets even
more grim this morning as we learn a huge number
of people, approximately one hundred and seventy still missing. President
Trump expected to visit the area of this Friday one
hundred and eleven people killed in the flash flooding over
the July fourth holiday weekend. For these stories and more,
visit The Midwesterner at the Midwesterner Dot.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
New their good friend Dave Galloway about this from Heartland
Home Mortgage. Trump administration just announcing that rent payments will
now count toward qualifying for a mortgage.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
A Poulty, Oh, I.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
Don't know if you're familiar with, but he's the uh
he's a US Director of Federal Housing billionaire type and
he's a he's a housing guys from the private sector,
done quite a bit. And I used to follow this
guy because I just liked what he used to used
to give away money online. He just loved these like
positive feel good stores. And that's an interesting guy. So
it's really interesting to see him serving in that capacity.
Speaker 7 (31:42):
Now.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
I want to talk about what that looks like, maybe
for you and for others who are looking to buy homes,
and maybe even some of those folks the younger generation
first time home buyers et cetera.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
Dave, welcome ed, thanks for having me my friend.
Speaker 8 (31:54):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (31:55):
Let's break this down fantastic, you know, uh, I think
in a I kind of wonder why this wouldn't have
counted in you know, previously anyway. But rent doesn't count
towards your credit score or your ability to get a mortgage.
And if you've got a solid history of being able
to show that, look I pay rent already. Should that help?
(32:18):
I think it's a fascinating question.
Speaker 8 (32:21):
Yeah, the I mean it has affected the ability to
lend in certain ways. We have programs that will allow
you to produce rental history as far as for qualifying,
but from a scoring model, there are so many programs
out there, Fanny and Freddie as well, that you just
can't get a score by going and getting your rent
history right, and even adding that to the credit bureau
(32:43):
doesn't affect the score. Now this new score advantage model
that they're coming up, but that's what this allows you
to do. And because it's sent that message, well, if
you don't go rack up credit and you can't get
a credit score, that can really send an irresponsible tone, right,
It's like, Hey, I don't want to rack up debt,
but I do want to borrow money for a home,
(33:04):
and so there is almost a disadvantage there for being
responsible with your money. So this is a situation where
you're going to be able to use some of those
ways that maybe you paid rent that will now affect
the score and help you with your ability to borrow
and get a home loan.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
You know something I never even thought about people that
that didn't want to rack up a credit, cause this
is a tough out. The Dave Ramsey people, this is
this is something that that will help them and it
sounds like it'll it'll.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Go a long way.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
Now what does that do to the housing I guess
we'll see market and home prices and things like that.
In places like Florida, we've seen the prices come down
a bit. I'm sure you have some thoughts on this
as Heartland Home Mortgage, by the way, operates not just
here back home in Michigan, but they've got offices in
Florida as well, because we can know we've got so
many people that are that are back and forth, but
(33:53):
but we know here in West Michigan. Seems like anyway,
prices have stayed pretty I've had a couple of homes
of selling in my neighborhood that seem to be doing
pretty well.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (34:03):
I mean, especially from a first time home buyer perspective,
like those starter homes, they're really tough to find. You
have to be on your game when you're making that offer,
and this obviously helps helps those new borrowers that haven't
had a home loan get more on stable ground. The
other thing it does is if you've ever had trouble
with all these bureaus, you may have you know, there's
(34:24):
three reporting agencies, and you may have a debt that
you needed to fix that was reporting wrong or something
like that. Trying to get all three bureaus on the
same page and report that correctly can be a pain.
This score advantage, from what we're seeing, it should help
eliminate some of that frustration. Now it's very new to
the market, but it is big news that, you know,
(34:45):
Fanny and Freddie, which is conventional financing, Fanny and Freddie
both are going to recognize that scoring model because that's
the big first step you have to get before that
has any credibility. And the other part of that, like
you mentioned with Polti, is you know he's tied in
with Trump, you know, tight, and they're looking I don't
know if it's going to happen, but they really want
to get Fanny and Freddy out of government conservatorship, you know,
(35:08):
privatize it again, you know eighth nine, you know, government
kind of took it over, and so that could lend
itself to some some pretty big advantages too.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
Dave, anything big you see is coming up in the
horizon right now, you're keeping your eyes on. We only
got a few minutes left, but I thought maybe we'd
just give you a chance to to dive into anything
that you see on the horizon.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
Folks may want to keep in mind in an eye.
Speaker 8 (35:29):
On, Yeah, I think just keeping an eye on what
rates are doing. Obviously we talked a ton about that.
That's in the news every day, and I think it's
it's not it's not a matter of if it's when. Obviously,
Trump keeps putting, keeps putting a lot of pressure on
Powell and the FED to making a move there, and
the you know, the his support is growing too with
how many people are you know, agreeing with that sentiment,
(35:51):
and so keeping an eye on these you know, what
these tariffs are doing. But A big thing right now
is down payment assistance. We're seeing more and more programs
come up where if you have you know, good credit,
you're making good money, you and you have a job,
and you just haven't put that down payment away, we
do have several programs that are allowing a one percent
or even giving you that down payment assistance grant. So
(36:13):
those are some of the bigger things. And then I
would tell anybody that thinks they need a wait longer
on rates, if you closed down a loan in the
sevens and you know right now might be a great
time to look at even a fifteen year because fifteen
year rates can get you down into the fives and
obviously pay that home off a lot sooner.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
That's an interesting thought. Well, look, here's the thing. You know,
all of these things that you want to make sure
you get good advice called Dave get on the phone
Heartland Home Mortgage, HHM lending dot com. Not only do
they partner and sponsor the program, but Dave gives the
excellent advice.
Speaker 3 (36:46):
And he'll tell you that.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
People tell me multiple times, so you know they've Dave
was able to help me, or Dave said they couldn't
help me. Now, but here's what he suggested to do
and to point you in the.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
Right direction to Dave. I think that's what people love.
They can trust and always reach.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Out to you guys for great information and willing to
go the extra mile, faster, better than the big banks.
As I always say, we know so many people listening
to this program and have saved thousands every time they
work with you, guys, and we just appreciate you being
a part of the program and a partner here all right.

Have you heard this guy talking about all of these
stories and the things, and yeah, yeah, help us spread
the word. We appreciate that the after show is coming
up a little bit later on Today' the Limbit program
in moments right here on the radio.
Speaker 3 (37:57):
Make it a great one. Folks, we wishing you the best,
