Speaker 1 (00:00):
Congressman Molinar's with us right now. But one of the
folks who was one of the toughest, one of the
best in the fight, one of the best to have
on your side of guy you'd want to be at
a foxhole with, I can tell you that much. Chairman
of the Select Committee on the CCP, now the Republican
of Michigan second Congressional District, Congressman John Mollinar, thank you
for taking the time and thank you so much for

(00:20):
everything you did in the fight, Sarah. Unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Well, good morning, Justin and I was honored to be
part of the team. And what an amazing group of
people in Mascosta County and around the region who really
had their voices heard finally, And I'm just so proud
of them the work they've done, and you know, they're
helping us be less reliant on the Chinese Communist Party.

(00:45):
You you know, we realized so many of our supply
chains were dependent on China. This was a statement that said,
let's have American jobs grow with our allies and friends
and make sure our economy is stable and resilient. And
couldn't be more proud of the people of Matosa County.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
You know, this is this is another thing that I
think folks probably and you've you've done quite a bit
of talking about this, educating on this throughout throughout the
last years here. But the threat that the CCP particularly
is economically and in other ways. You have a front

(01:26):
row seat to all this, and it's important folks need
to kind of get a grasp on this. What would
you tell people when you get a chance to tell
them about this.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Well, first that we want to stop funding our foremost
adversary with American taxpayer dollars. And that's why it was
so important that my legislation, the No Goshen Act, was
part of the big beautiful bill that the President signed
in the law that basically said no ghosh, and you
aren't going to receive billions of American taxpayer dollars to

(01:57):
fund a Chinese company affiliated with the CCP. There's so
many areas where our economies, our national security, human rights
are threatened by the CCP here in the United States
and around the world, and so it's important that we
be realistic about that, be clear eyed, and make sure

(02:17):
that our policies meet the need for the future.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Yeah, it's critical, I know President Trump has headed over
right now for some talks. I think he'll be speaking
with President she and particularly on fentanyl. This is a
big conversation. A lot of people are wondering about these
boats getting blown up on the coast of Venezuela and
some of the drugs that are coming over. A lot
of that stuff starts to live the precursors. At least

(02:43):
in China, they've they've played a big role in this.
He's going to be having that conversation at some point,
it sounds like in the next week or so.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
In South Korea, you know, our committee did an investigation
that showed not only was China turning a blind eye,
and it wasn't just organized crime. Their government policy was
to subsidize the manufacture of chemicals precursors for fentanyl that
were then exported to the cartels in Mexico and around

(03:14):
the world. And it's a big money laundering scheme for them,
and that's poisoning, uh, you know, hundreds of thousands of Americans.
And so I'm proud of President Trump for uh pushing
back on this. Some of the tariffs thaties instituted reflect that,
and uh, you know, we got to just say no
more of that.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yeah, it's a it's a good definitely a good sign
to see a president who's got to handle on these
things and wants the best for the American people. Congressman
Molinar with us right now is the chair of this
uh this this special committee, the Select Committee on the CCP.
We want to taunt to you. Awesome. We know the
House is passed. Uh, this has all been done. Republicans

(03:55):
moved it through. In fact, we've we've got this uh
this this CR, this clean CR continued resolution. That's pretty simple.
It would fund the government through part of November. Uh,
this has been out there. Democrats and the Senate have
been dragging their feet. They need sixty votes to get
it passed in the Senate to fund government so that
they can then begin actual negotiations on the next budget.

(04:21):
But until this happens, things are kind of at a standstill.
And we've seen some of the pain I just mentioned
coming into the the segment here. But we know that
they blocked efforts to pay military and other essential workers.
The Democrats did, and the what I'm calling now the
Schumer shakedown, and they've they've also they've got this deal
with snap it apparently is coming up in the next

(04:42):
week or so. This is You've had an inside sort
of seat to this front row seat to it, and
a look here what I mean this is this is incredible.
What are you hearing from people as well as Democrats
continue to dig and stomp their feet and say we're
going to put you know, illegal aliens it in front
of Americans.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Well, it's ridiculous. And you know, probably the strongest statement
I've seen by the Democratic leadership was the Democratic whip
in the House said, yeah, we know that people are
going to suffer, but this is the leverage that we
have and we need to use it. And when you
consider they're leveraging the American people and the pain and
suffering that people are going to be experiencing just for

(05:25):
their own political agenda, that's just wrong. And I'm you know,
I've been watching a Senator Fetterman, a Democrat senator who's
been voting with the Republicans because he can't believe his
own party is shutting down the government after years of
saying how wrong it is to shut down the government
just to try and get a political win and show
that they're fighting against the president. And so it's it's

(05:49):
very clear even in the you know, words of our
Democrat colleagues, that they're using this shut down to leverage
for their own political gain. And unfortunately, as you mentioned,
snap benefits with benefits paying our military air traffic controllers,
it's all at risk because of this.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
It really is. It's sad to think about it, but
this is some sort of a political calculation. And unfortunately,
you know, the thing is that Democrats, many people have
left the party to vote for President Trump and others,
and they'll even tell you that they didn't leave the
Democrat Party. Democrat Party left them. This is a perfect

(06:31):
example of it. If Schumer being pulled around by the
nose by the radical left wing side with AOC mom,
Donnie and the rest of them, the things that they're
talking about that they'd like to see done, he's been
influenced by it and it's ruining their party.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Well. And I was reminded when you were speaking about
President Reagan saying, you know, he didn't leave the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Party left him. And then he started reading
Russell Kirk's work the Conservative mind. You know, Russell being
from West Michigan, and you know, look at what happened
there when you had such a strong leader who originally

(07:08):
was part of the Democratic Party, but because of their Shenanigans,
he said no more.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Yeah, Congressman Molinar, always a pleasure. Thank you for your
hand in the fight. Such a great leadership there and
you know the people there in Green Charter Township, Macosta
County fighting in such a way that makes us all
proud throughout Michigan and the rest of the country. Boy,
what a what a great day to celebrate.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
It really is. Well, thanks so much, justin appreciate being
with you this morning.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Always a pleasure, sir, Thank you, Congressman John Molinar. He
is the chairman of the Select Committee on the CCP
and also the congressman from Michigan's second congressional district. Here
