Speaker 1 (00:00):
Joining us now from the Enjoyer down I seventy five
over on acts. Always a pleasure, my friend. Thank you
for taking the time to be here with us today.
Never a dull moment. What a wild league has been
so far.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Absolutely good morning.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Justin so you just heard some of that.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Maybe your reaction, I guess to kick things off about
what the Steven Miller has mentioned and went there. They're
being brought up there and what they called common sense,
restoring common sense to American and maybe are manufacturing approach
with the world.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
You know, some of these arguments people haven't heard them
in many years because nativism has been given a bad name.
They've talked you out of wanting what's best for you
while they import people into America to undercut your wages.
So get we send the jobs away, and then we
also import people here to undercut our wages. So the

(00:54):
American worker and the middle class is being squeezed on
all sides. And you know, in Michigan, the state that
created the middle class, we feel it the most. Our
whole thing is really reliant on people being able to
work and make man size way just for that work,
and that when that went away and it was taken

(01:15):
away and given away. The promise was that we were
going to make up for it with laptop jobs and
the service economy. That clearly hasn't happened, even with COVID.
So we need to go back to the economy we
had one hundred years ago. Yes, there's modern versions of it,
but the thesis that men could make money building things
is still sound.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Yeah, And here's the deal.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Not only are we going to need to do that
for an economic reason, right, not only are we going
to need to do that for financial reasons, but.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Did there's an whole national security.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Approach and angle to this too that just keeps, I
guess getting swept underneath rug. Look, we saw what happened
in twenty twenty, you know stuff, and at the time
it was Chinese junk that was stuck on ships, and
you know, people talking about, oh no, what if I
don't get this in time for Christmas? Well that's one
thing China, But what if you don't get the medication

(02:11):
that you need in time to save someone's life.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
That's a whole nother story altogether, right.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
And that's the pain we have to embrace. And that's
the circle we have to square. You really can't have
a situation where you're getting mission critical you know, pharmaceuticals
and things like that from China. But that's exactly where
we've put ourselves. Yeah, people like our last secretary of Energy,

(02:40):
our former governor Jennifer Granholm, was saying she wanted the
military to be all ed, the military tanks to be
electric vehicles by twenty thirty. And so you have a
lot of Democrats who are just trying to drive us
off the cliffs, whether it's green energy fantasy, whether it's
the growth, and they actually don't like us having prosperity,

(03:01):
whatever is driving it, whether they want to see China's rise,
whatever's driving it. They don't want the best of a
ten million people who live here, and that I think
is going to become untenable to them.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Absolutely. Well, we saw the president's visit here this week.
Let's talk a little bit about that. Couple of big
news stories that came out of it. Number one, you
got the Selfridge Air National Guard Base announcement, which was huge.
We got Whitmer who finally came out from behind the
blue folder and on into the spotlight. And you know

(03:35):
what's interesting, we were kind of tough on her, and
I think rightfully so for hide and behind that bluefolder
in the Oval office. But I will say, and James
and Is ask, I don't love this, but I will
say the fact that she showed up, she was there.
I know people and her party hate right now this
is this is a really tough thing for her, But
that's the kind of thing showing that you can work
together that average Americans like in it it actually ups

(03:59):
her chances and being able to be competitive in twenty
twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
I don't think it necessarily helps her her future because
I think Democrats have gone off the deep end. And
I think when you look at what she said and
just her a few moments, I'm really damn happy to
be here. Damn happy. Who's ever said that? I mean,
she just Gretchen Whitmer doesn't have social skills. It's a
common malady among us michigan Ers. We are awkward, especially

(04:28):
to anyone who's not from Michigan, and that I think
is part of what limits us on the national stage.
And you just saw it. I mean, what was that?
Damn happy? And you're hiding yourself behind binders. She doesn't
know what to do with her hands, and my guess
is that you know, since high school to now, she
probably has is what she considers social skills is an

(04:51):
overreliance on alcohol.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
All right, I got to pull you out of the
because I get where you are with her, but I
got to put you out of that. And just let's
just talk in generalities, because we've seen Gavin Newsom do
this too, where he's like, I'm hey, I'm moving more
to the sinner, I'm more common sense Democrat, even though
we know that's not real. But that's the kind of
thing that the American people want to see. They want

(05:14):
to see you work together. They want to do you
see you do common sense things like make sure we
got an Air National Guard base that's going to have
a future here, we got F fifteen's coming here. You know,
that's the kind of thing they want to see. They
don't want to see any of this radical, crazy AOC
and Bernie Tour stuff that's happening right now.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Well, normal people don't want to see those things, but
Democrats aren't normal, and so they want. I mean, Curtis
Hertel Junior. Yeah, Whittmer is his mentor her father or
his father was Whitmer's mentor Whitmer's been tight as thick
as thieves with thetel the hotels for years, three decades now,

(05:54):
and Whitmer is there with Trump when he comes to
Michigan Hotel, condemns it. They with anyone who's not died
in the world Democrat to your point, fewer people by
the day.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Yeah, to your point, James, I brought this up yesterday.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
They got a lot to square here, and it's gonna
be hard for them to do it because as she's
doing that, you've got Attorney General Dana Nessel coming out
there filing all these lawsuits saying we.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Can't normalize this president. Which one is it going to be?

Speaker 2 (06:22):
They are the normal they are the don't normalize party.
They're the party of MSNBC. They're the party of frothing
at the mouth. They're the party that thinks Tim Wawls
is an avatar of masculinity. They are so far off
the mark. They don't see the same things we see.
They don't have the same values we share, and they
just with every utterance and every day they become a

(06:46):
strange from the American people. And it looks like Gretchen
Whitmer might be more of one of us than she
is one of them.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
You know, we had a chance to chat last name
on a text message and one of the stories that
continues to come up, and you're popping up and talking
about some of the insanity and what's going on with
Democrats right now.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Voter ide.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
This is what James said last night on textbus voter
I D Chinese voter scandal out of control. Now the
voter is on the lamb now as Benson runs the
London marathon.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
What is going on here? And this is another just
another day in Lancing.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
You just can't beat it. I mean, on the very
same day when Detroit News publishes a story about Lancing workers,
you know not they're working from home, they're not going
into the office these days. And you got Sam Robinson
on Twitter, a journalist at Detroit one million, got him
talking about, Hey, I'm trying to use the Secretary of
State website. It's not really working. And you have the

(07:51):
Detroit News drop another article talking about how the campaign
finance portal, which runs through Jocelyn Benson's office and her department,
that's not really working and it's actually been made worse
under Benson's tutelage, under Benson's leadership. And as all that
is happening, Jocelyn Benson is not in Michigan. She's not

(08:11):
tending the fires, she's not fixing the things, he's not
learning the code. She's running the London marathon while Michigan burns.
Benson's running the London marathons. And it's just it is
what we could expect if we were to elect her
as governors, many of her marathon trips, the Michigan taxpayer

(08:32):
would end up funding, wile Michigan continues to slide and
slide and flide because we elected another influencer rather than
someone with gravitas who could be our governor. Watch out
for Joscelyn Benson. She's she's dangerous.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Let me let me ask you this because this is
this is another This is another one, because that seems
straight out of the playbook of that mayor of La
where she was on that trip, wow, while La was burning. Unfortunately,
this is something they have in common with each other.
And I don't know what it is, but all of
these wacky leftist, extreme radical folks, they all have their

(09:12):
priorities misplaced in just some egregious ways.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
They don't have an interest in governance. You were talking
about Gavin Newsom earlier. I saw him on the news
last week. They were calling him a podcast host, not
governor of Cali. Everybody wants to be an influencer rather
than do the things that you that you you get
influence and you use influence to have power. Yeah, normally

(09:40):
you would see someone try to leverage being an influencer
into becoming a governor. Now you have governors wanting to
become influencers rather than use the bully pulpit, which people
have been using for two hundred and fifty years. Who's
been an upside down bizarro world?

Speaker 3 (09:56):
Justin whose podcast is doing better? Right? Now? Here's a
Michelle Hell Obama's gotta.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Think Gavin Newsom. Gavin Newsom at least keeps the guests
in mind. He brings on Charlie Kirk, who has a
large audience. He's going through a humiliation ritual. Yes, yeah,
Mishelle Obama. I mean I know people aren't watching on YouTube.
Could you imagine watching that frownie for an hour?

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Oh? Unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
By the way, you want more on this down I
seventy five over on X And of course the Enjoyment
podcast is always, but Mischigan House voting today on that
House Joint Resolution B Brian Possumus. Hey, we may have
read Possumus on tomorrow or the coming Monday to talk
about this effort to constitutional mement requiring voter I speaking

(10:43):
of common sense.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
Here we go again.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
They need proof of citizenship, they'd say, here in Michigan.
Can you imagine? And how many people this will put off?
Always a pleasure, my friend, James, Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Chirs, thank you so much. I appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
You got it, brother, We'll talk soon there
