Speaker 1 (00:01):
By from higher top Monroe Center in downtown Grand Rapids.
We're talking about what matters most to you in West Michigan.
Joining a conversation now at six one six seven seven
four twenty four twenty four. At six one six seven
seven four twenty four to twenty four, It's West Michigan
Live with Justin Barklay on Wood Radio Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Oh a little cooler today, but gorgeous. Nevertheless, the sun
is shining high a top downtown Grand Rapids in West Michigan,
and it is a full day. We're jam packed with
lots of conversations. Stories from DC. We got some of
those coming up on the way. We'll get to that,
plus all the swamp in Lancing and stories to tell

(00:47):
as well. Our good friend Kyle Olsom joining us, and
Marlena from Alana's v Strauss. She was there in the
middle of it yesterday. We'll talk to both of them
after this.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
He's weather and traffic. I won't get stories of the day.
We're talking about what matters most in West Michigan and beyond.
This is the Big three, no see speak three.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah, these are the stories you're gonna be talking about
around the watercolor, the dinner temple. No matter where you are,
these are the big three this top stories of the day.
And I mentioned you know some of these won't even
be covered elsewhere, at least the context, the truth, logic
and common seth power of bar are good friends at
Heartland Home Mortgage, Dave got Away and the team wanted

(01:33):
to help you. Whether you want to buy refine home
equity line of credit. What are you thinking about doing
that now? Later on this the summer, this is the
time things are starting to really heat up in the market.
So and reach out see if they can save you
thousands like they dead for us HHM lending dot com
number one. Yes, Sir Marlena hack Me, Karl Manky, Karl Barber. Well,

(02:00):
we talked to them a great length years ago. It
was all going on, Governor Whitmer and folks turning General Nassal,
all attacking these guys, the weaponization of government. That's what
they were there to talk about House Oversight Committee yesterday
and a fascinating experience. Nevertheless, in fact, we'll talk with

(02:21):
Kyle Olson who was there in Lansing and Marline herself
coming out this morning. Good to see progress being made
finally accountability another day another judge blocking Trump trying to
make voting secure, amongst other issues, the judicial insurrection the
latest judges have tried to block down I don't know why,

(02:44):
but they don't want you being able to vote if
you're an illegal alien. I mean, who would think of
me fig of that? What a basic sort of common
sense Deggan, We've li an upside down world. These judges
have also halted parts of Trump's executive orders barring the

(03:07):
administration from denying or conditioning the use of federal funds
to sanctuary cities. Three judges recently ruling against DEI policies
threatening withholding federal funding from schools and more. And so, yeah,
there are some things to be concerned about. Well, Keverry
the latest done this. But I'll tell you why. You

(03:28):
don't need to be upset. I'm Gonda speaking of which,
it's just a horrific situation. Years later now and I'm
watching my memories pop up on Facebook the time this
all went down. The jury seated earlier this week in
the former GPD BDA officer's murder trial, the death of

(03:49):
Patrick Leoya officer Christopher Sure. Fourteen jurors, including two alternates,
seated before noon Wednesday, both the defense and prosecution saying
their satisfied with the panel, Judge Christina m saying it
brings joy to my heart. The jury includes four men
and ten women. One woman said she was biracial, three Hispanic.

(04:11):
Among the jurors two nurses, a graphic designer, two janitors,
a code enforcement officer, and a retired bank teller. Just
so you know, because I've seen reports. In fact, the
same television station that that particular report I just read
you came from, there was a report that they had
picked an all white jury. This is going to be

(04:32):
a very tense time. I'm just gonna warn you right now,
It's going to be a very tense time in our city,
and I would encourage you to pray for our city,
Pray for the folks involved, the families involved here, not
just Officer Sure obviously, but Patrick Leoy's family as well.
By the way, I had a post up yesterday on

(04:53):
social media Facebook asking folks to pray for Officer Sure.
I don't think this thing ever should have went to
to try. That's just my opinion. I think it's a
horrific situation that could have been avoided in a number
of ways, and patrick Leia not been drinking and driving
early that morning, if he would have listened to Officer

(05:13):
Shore and of course not grabbed his taser and not
fought him in all those things, you know, But unfortunately
it did happen, and my heart breaks for both of
those families. Can't say that, apparently on social media, because
they start attacking you and coming for you. By the way,
we got some really just awful and disgusting some threats
on that post, and just the idea that you're not

(05:35):
allowed to even talk about these things. You can't ask
people to pray for anyone. I think we ought to
pray for everyone involved, by the way, I just and
I went back in one of the posts I had
from a when it originally happened. I went back and
saw it to actually I've been consistent, I said the
same thing even then. There are forces that want to
ramp this up and make this as divisive as possible.
So I would just encourage you not to get involved

(05:57):
in that, not to get into the division, and do
everything that you can to make sure that that that
you know, you know, you pray for peace and and
and all of that during this entire process. I can't
it's I can't imagine it's good for anyone involved. So

(06:18):
there some of the people that are out there yelling
and screaming and wanting justice and this, that and the
other think they want they want revenge, they want blood.
These are this is mob mentality, some of this stuff,
and it's really saddening to see it all play out.
And and unfortunately with headlines like the jury selected it
all white, Jerry, that's just not the case. The same
television station just ran something against it. Just wild to me.

(06:40):
So anyway, that's that's all I'll say about that. I
want to talk to our good friend on the phone
right now, Kyle Olsen with the latest from Lancing yesterday.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Good morning. Yes, I emerged from my cave in West
Michigan to go to Lancing, and uh it was it was.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Fun, Kyle, like the groundhog. Did you see in four
more years of a dark winter? Ors are we going
to get a spring in twenty twenty six?

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Well, let me just say so. I was on the
house floor where the media goes, and I had a
nice conversation with house speaker Matt Hall and it was
a good day. We'll just say that.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Fantastic gat there was testimony House Oversight Committee that we're
going to have Marlin on a little bit later to
talk about this is a big move though, because finally
there's an opportunity to hold folks accountable.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Yeah. I have been saying really since the Oversight Committee hearings.
The Oversight Committee was announced, that there's several subcommittees government Weaponization,
child welfare, foreign interference, etc. That are doing the work

(07:53):
of accountability. And in my opinion, those are the most
important committees in the House right now because those are
the ones that are attempting to hold the governor, the
Attorney General, the Secretary of State accountable. Now. News that
so I was in the Speaker's press conference yesterday and

(08:14):
news that came out of that which we're going to
have a story about this today. We heard from Joscelyn
Benson and we've talked to you and I have talked
about this, that there's no non citizens the vote in
Michigan elections. And then we heard, oh, it was fifteen
or no, Actually we heard it was one, then we
heard it was fifteen, then we heard it was sixteen.

(08:38):
And Jade de Boyer, who is the House Oversight Committee Chairman,
told reporters yesterday that it's now eighty eight zero. So
this number continues to increase, and Joscelyn Benson, the Secretary
of State, is stonewalling and it's now to the point

(08:59):
where she loves to posture as she's a transparent Secretary
of transparent Secretary of State. She believes in transparency. She
wants transparency for everyone else. And so Rochelle Smith, who
is chair of the Subcommittee for Election Integrity, has been
asking for the election training materials for local clerks and

(09:25):
Joscelyn Benson has refused to turn those over, and so
now the Oversight Committee has issued a subpoena, which, according
to the law, you're required to comply with the subpoena
and Joscelyn Benson to get those materials, and Joscelyn Benson

(09:46):
is refusing to comply with the subpoena. And as Jada
Boyer said yesterday, basically what was she hiding Because the
concern is that Joscelyn Benson has issued rules to clerks
which have been overturned by courts saying no, those those
rules are illegal, and so, as jaj Boyer said yesterday,

(10:09):
the concern is that she's continuing with her previous rules,
so they want to actually see that. And so to date,
Joscelyn Benzon is refusing to be transparent and refusing to
turn those over.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
What happens Is there any teeth to this? I mean,
what happens if she continues to refuse, Well, it'll.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
End up in court, and which I think is exactly
where Joscelynventzon wants it, because she can spend taxpayer money,
our money to on legal fees to fight that and
drag it out. She's attempting to say, oh, this is,
you know, a political attack and et cetera. But an
election training document that goes to county to local clerks

(10:53):
is that it's a public document and you're supposed to
that and the public is supposed to be able to see.
And really, what what is what's the big issue here?
If you're telling if you're instructing local clerks how to
analyze a signature on an absentee ballot, why is that
such a national security secret? I mean, shouldn't shouldn't the

(11:15):
public have some awareness, some visibility into what is going
on there? But apparently Jocelyn Benson doesn't think.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
So, yeah, yeah, we ought to know exactly what they're
doing and why they're doing it. That's that's pretty obvious
to me. Uh, what else is going on out there today?
I see, Uh, we've got while we were gone this
week in DC, Whitmer appointing a new Supreme Court justice,
but she still won't set a Senate special election date

(11:45):
for that seat that's been left open.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Yeah, isn't that so fascinating? It's not, but we'll just
say it is. Isn't that fascinating that the governor? So,
so there is a state Supreme Court justice who the
chief justice actually who announced she's she's resigning and she's
going to go work for a nonprofit and she is

(12:11):
resigning effective the end of April, and so she technically
is still on the bench, still on the State Supreme Court,
and the governor has already appointed a replacement, which of
course is a you know, liberal, progressive replacement, and so
she was able to do that. But here there is

(12:32):
a there's a state Senate district, District thirty five, which
is sort of the Midland Saginaw based city area. So
sort of the thumb over by the thumb we have
known for months, in fact, November, we knew that the
state senator was elected to Congress to represent that area

(12:54):
in Congress, and so she was going to be leaving.
So we've really known, I mean, technically she's she resigned
January first, but we've known that this is coming. And
here it is almost May, and the governor is not
not naming a special election. Well why is that? Well,
because it's a lot of that area is Trump country.

(13:18):
There's concerns that if a Republican wins that special election,
it will turn into a nineteen nineteen tie in the
in the state Senate. And so the governor, I would guess,
I don't think there's any other rationale. Then the governor
thinks they may lose that election, which would then turn
into a tie. And so then the reality is that

(13:41):
there would be a Republican majority in the state House,
a tie in the state Senate, which can be broken
by her lieutenant governor, and so it really changes the
dynamics and lansing. And so she I guess she thinks
that she can just sort of drag this out and
the Lancing media is not really going to say anything.

(14:04):
And I mean there's been a couple stories about the
fact that she's not calling a special election, but there
has not been pressure. Yeah, now there has not been
real pressure on her to name a special election. And
so those two hundred and plus thousand constituents of that
thirty fifth district go without representation.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
It's terrific. And but let's just say, if this were
a shoe on the other foot, President Trump in that
situ the big defying democracy trying to thwart the wheel
of the people and all of that representation without you know,
all that, we would be hearing it and there would
be no end. There would be no end to any
of it. But Kyle Olson, I think you astuteley point

(14:42):
out why we're why we're hearing what we're here, the
Midwestern or the Midwestern or not news last, but not least.
You know, I was just in DC talking with folks
at the White House and I know you're you're I
don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but it
sounds like you may be making a trip to the
swamp here soon as well. The question that keeps coming
back from people here is as President Trump continues to

(15:05):
make moves to try to bring manufacturing back here to America,
get jobs going again, etc. We just got another story today,
GM to increase production at Ohio Transmission Facility. Terrifts are working.
It sounds like question is if we get all this
manufacturer and get uptake at it here of course, and
we get new plant and investments announced here in the country,

(15:29):
how much of that will Michigan get, if any, how
do we make sure we don't miss out?

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Well? I think it comes down to effective state leadership.
And I mean, does anybody think we have effective state leadership?
Our leadership is literally holding a folder in front of
her face in the oldal office. So I don't think
that there's a whole lot of confidence that the governor
could persuade anyone to bring to build a build a

(15:59):
business here, expand a plant or anything like that. And
so as as the President is, you know, strategically using
tariffs to bring businesses and jobs back to America, the
big question is is Michigan going to see any of that?
And what we're seeing at least right now is companies leaving.

(16:21):
You know, companies like GM are going to other states.
So it's it's very it's problematic for Michigan. And and
so the governor's strategy to grow business in Michigan is
to hand out these massive incentives, which Matt Hall House
Speaker Matt Hall has said that we're not doing that anymore,

(16:42):
and so it seems like the governor sort of moved
on from Michigan, but we'll have to see how it
goes more.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
By the way, act the midwestern or dynows, don't just

Speaker 4 (17:28):
Here are your headlines from The Midwesterner this Friday, April
twenty fifth. I'm Robin Poffman. It's a Midwesterner Dot news
original story. Governor Whitmer refusing to cut corporate welfare to
fix roads here in Michigan. She's rejecting a Republican plan
that would free up more than three billion dollars for
infrastructure projects. Michigan Democrat Congresswoman Rasheeta to Lee believes Israel

(17:51):
is as much an enemy of the US as North
Korea and Iran, but luckily close to all of her
colleagues on Capitol Hill disagree to leave with a proposal
to list Israel as an adversary of the United States,
while it fails in a three to four hundred and
ten vote. Aside from Talib, the only Palestinian in Congress,

(18:11):
her proposal receives support from fellow members of the Squad,
Ilhan Omar and Ayana Presley. In other news, President Trump
and First Lady Milania off to Rome for the Pope's
funeral on Saturday. For these stories and more, visit the
Midwesterner at the Midwesterner dot news.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Not uh not as warm today, well at cooler temperatures,
but lots of sunshine, maybe some rain a little bit
later on. We'll keep you up to date with all
the latest news headlines and more coming up after this
our bottle of the Iron news Rebecca Marlana from Marlana's Beastrash.
She was in Lansing yesterday to testify and more on
with us. Next it's West Michigan Live. What a blast

(18:54):
from the past, Remember this Marlana on Fox with Tucker.

Speaker 5 (18:58):
Authorities in Michigan, the governor and the Attorney general. We're
trying to send her to jail for running her business.
And she warned us that Americans need to fight against
authoritarianism like this, where the United States will come to
resemble the country she fled decades ago, communist Poland.

Speaker 6 (19:15):
We the people, small business owners, like I told you,
we have to fight and I will fight for freedom
for American people. And I encourage everyone, business owners, other
people stand up and fight for your freedom before it's
going to be taken away.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
She's seen it herself up close and personal, and we
talk with her during those days. Now we find ourselves
back with Merlin, who was on the other side of
the table essentially this week in Lansing, trying to bring
a little accountability, holding the feet to the fire of
the folks that were responsible for all this mess, and
Marlana joins us. Now, Marline appreciates you being here with us.

(19:59):
How are you more?

Speaker 7 (20:01):
Good morning, justin Thanks for having me on your show.
I really appreciate and God bless you for what you're doing.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Oh you too, Marlene. And and you know, God bless you.
You've been through the ringer and I know that you've
been stood strong, not just for yourself in your business,
but for other folks as well, because you've seen the
other side of this, You saw how it worked all
those years ago. And then of course you know now
we're starting to get a little bit of accountability. How

(20:29):
do you how do you feel watching some of this
play out in this in this committee, and of course
maybe hopeful that we're gonna we're gonna see some of
that happen.

Speaker 7 (20:38):
Well, I'm grateful that we have a politician that's willing
to take the action to hold the government accountable for
what they have done. I would like to know what
authority the government has to strip us from our anailable
god given rights, constitutional protected rights. With the pe we

(21:00):
have their right to be protected under Fourth Amendment. We
have the right to leave happy life, provide for our family,
and do what is right. I understand everyone he's got
his opinion, and everyone is in control of his body
and mind, and every individual held is people responsibility, not

(21:22):
the government. They may be sent as suggestions and guidelined,
but what they did to us doing COVID is unacceptable.
They create Monday that they don't even follow them, but
they force upon us with the people. So this is outrage.

(21:43):
I never see that somebody will do such a thing.
Is common sense. So I was charged in jail, But
how come government witchmer She never went to jail, that
she didn't follow her own mondays and establishment she was.
They never have to pay any fees and pace what

(22:07):
I pay. So I demand justice, justice for all of us,
for all those businesses who lost them, business for loved
ones that they could not go see, and so many
other things. So I'm praying to God that justice will
be served because we the people, we have the power,
and the politicians are a servant government supposed to uphold

(22:32):
the office and protect our constitutional protected rights, not strip
them and take our freedom away.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Marlena with is Marlena Hackney, of course Marlena's Bistro and
Holland and back yesterday or this week in the oversight committee,
and I want to talk to Angela rigaz represented. Rigazu invited
carl and of course Marlena. But why don't we got
to go back. They came to your house and they
arrested you. They picked you up early morning hours. This

(23:04):
whole thing was like right out of a history book.
How horrifying it or was and what you had to
go through during this process. I don't think people realize.
I don't think they remember. Wasn't this right before you
were supposed to go on talker?

Speaker 7 (23:20):
Yes? Absolutely, and this was all navigate under Dana Nassal,
Attorney General. If you're gonna order for your Freedom Information Act,
which the organization from mcinnoc Island, they reached out and
they were the one who brought this in the daylight

(23:41):
so people they can see what's going on, how the
government operate. She give direct order to come and arrest
me if the state police refused because they told them
that this is Vivian matter and we will not participate.
We will only do if Dana Nestle, Attorney General give
direct order. And sure enough she demands from them to

(24:03):
come and arrest me before I will appear on card
Stuck on show. She also demands from the judge which
she don't follow the jur restrictions and I'll have to
go to Inham County Circle cord. She demands from the
judge to give me the highest penalty that I can get,
the most time in jail I can have. Who will

(24:25):
do such a thing. Don't we have a justice system
that they will should follow the true process of law
and procedure and see what is all about, and they
decide not Dyna Nasa Attorney General is gonna tell them
and dictate how they're gonna treat me. So you see

(24:45):
the power of the government. What she's using is wrong
and she should be held accountable. Also called the lies
that she comes on public television and told them that
this was raphic stop, which wasn't traffic stop. She sent
nine police cars to come and arrest me, pre waiting

(25:07):
in my establishment of business. Five was around my house
which was unmarked cars. And that's why when they follow
me and I decide to go back, they have so
many cars. I' make safety and I was arrested in
the front of my house. But she'll lie. She says
that I was arrested traffic stop and one sixty Bulvar

(25:30):
and Lake Bulvar and one sixty which is wrong and
light and they premeditate. If you will reach Foya, what's
gonna be they're gonna go on national TV. She also
requests to have cameras and dash camera and the police
because she would like to expose what happened to me.
But when I request or request from the state police

(25:53):
to give me those videos, they tell me, I'm sorry,
you cannot receive them because this is classified information. Because
things didn't go I have my phone which I recurring productions.
And the trooper who come arrest me wasn't from my county.
I live in Ottawa County. My business is Elegant County.

(26:17):
Both sheriffs refuse to come and arrest me. They say
we will not arrest her, but they will not go
against in an asshole of enforcement. If they will send me,
which they can stop the arrest. But they didn't do it.
But still praise God both sheriffs that they didn't come
and arrest me. But also they don't follow the jurisdictions.

(26:42):
Every citizen have protection. You've got to be prosecuted in
a county you are. She didn't follow. She took me
two countess away to prosecute me because she's got all
those judges lined up to go after me and don't
follow the due process of law. Just do whatever they've

(27:05):
been told to keep me in jail, to give me
the highest penalty that they can do. But I'm grateful
to God because God is funder control. God is always
with me. God protect me from the day one until now.
So God bless I have a faith unbeliever, and I
know justice will be served.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
We're going to continue to pray for you and pray
that justice would be served. But I am so glad
to hear you say and share your faith in the
story because I know everyone that I've talked to from
the last several years and have gone through the things
that you've gone through and fought so hard and stood

(27:47):
up in whatever case it might be. You know, it's
always there's always a bit of faith. There's always that
bit of that that is something bigger than themselves that
they're standing up and finding for and and inspired by
your Marlena. You're no You're no different, and I appreciate you.
Thank you so much for doing it, thank you for
standing up, and thank you for sharing your story. You

(28:08):
know we ought to come over and all get together
at your restaurant one of these days.

Speaker 7 (28:11):
That would be a blessed I would love to see
you Smiley face.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Justin, I can't wait. I miss you, Marlena. We'll talk soon.

Speaker 7 (28:21):
God bless you all, and God bless America you too.

Coming up next, we'll hear from Rep. Angelo Riguz, who
invited Marlena, carl the barber, and more. In fact, she

you'll hear the full story next.

Here are your headlines from the Midwestern Or this Friday,
April twenty fifth. I'm Robin Poffman. It's a Midwesterner dot
News original story. It doesn't appear she's fixing, in her words,
the damn roads. Governor Whitmer refusing to cut corporate welfare
to fixed roads here in Michigan. She's rejecting a Republican
plan that would free up more than three billion dollars

(29:29):
for infrastructure projects in other News Michigan Democrat congresswoman where
Shehita Talib believes Israel is as much an enemy of
the US as North Korea and Iran, but luckily close
to all of her colleagues in the House on Capitol
Hill disagree to leave with her proposal to list Israel
as an adversary of the US. Well it fails big

Speaker 5 (30:10):
News date for each night on that story. And It's
a sad one. Marlena Pavlos Hackney is in jail. She
was arrested very early this morning before six am by police,
taken away in ankle shackles and wristcuffs. One of the
few people in this country gets up really early to
go to work because she really cares, trying her very hardest,
and they grabbed her and they sent her away for

(30:33):
longer than people who commit gun crimes in Detroit get
to put.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
A blast from the past there to see this and
hear this to Tucker back on Fox, Marlen gonna add
jail in jail At that time, Brett brig Us on
the phone line with us now heading up this committee.
She was one targeted as well during all of this.
Rep thank you so much for taking the time to
share with us the behind the scenes of some of
the things that have happened. Of course the latest as

(30:59):
Republicans now controlling the House, trying to get some oversight here.

Speaker 8 (31:03):
Yeah, good morning, justin, thanks for having.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Me my pleasure, so tell us about how this all
came together.

Speaker 8 (31:10):
So when I was named as chair of a state
weaponization of government, obviously COVID was pretty high on the
list right for having some hearings, and we need to
we need a refresher on this justin because some people
would say, oh, this was four years ago, why are
you bothering? But it's our duty to go back and

(31:33):
see the and understand the catastrophic failures of our government
and how do we put up guardrails so that the
government will no longer be able to weaponize you know,
certain departments against the citizens of our state. And that
was my reasoning behind this, because we do need to
make changes in landing that will prohibit this action, these

(31:55):
actions from ever being a possibility again. And some people,
you know, lots of people want to come in and
talk about COVID. We could do COVID probably hearings every
day for the next five years. This is how many
people have been negatively impacted by you know, Dana Estyl
as extreme enforcement of an unconstitutional executive order, right, But

(32:19):
we chose the TUUS high profile. Obviously, Marlene Hackney and
Carl Mankey, their stories move you, their stories inspire you,
but they also outrage us that these things happened. So
how can we prevent it? That's what that's what we're
digging into. You know, it's not just a simple oversight

(32:43):
hearing where they come in and you know, the media
reports on, you know, the things that they've said. But
watching the presentation of Marlene's attorney, the emails on the
screen showing Dana and Essyl scheming to make sure that
that Marlene is arrested before she's on Tucker Carlson is shocking.
But what's even more shocking is that we don't really

(33:06):
know if the warrant had been even issued at that time.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (33:13):
Yes, that that came out in the hearing that Marlena
was never given a copy of that warrant, She's never
seen the warrant.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Incredible.

Speaker 8 (33:23):
So now we have to go back and and we're
going to have to request more documents from Nessl's office
on this case and how the timeline of how things
played out, and if she doesn't comply. You know, I
was happy in Maine Oversight to vote for subpoena power,
so we have that ability through Maine Oversight, and I'm

(33:45):
not afraid to tr do a subpoena request on this
Attorney General so we can get the answers that Marlena deserves.
And then we're working with conservative think tanks behind the
scenes to how can we put policies in place, a
legislation to put guardrails on these departments and put guardrails

(34:06):
on the governor and looking at the process of emergency
emergency declarations. So we're going to fight to fix what happened.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Folks want to see this rights, they want to see
it all, all of it straightened up and put back
on track. And I know that you're working hard to
do that. I know folks want to be able to
reach out to you and talk to you during this
process and of course things that they're seeing. The best
way to get ahold of you, Rep. While we have you.

Speaker 8 (34:37):
Here, sure go to Reprigus, the House Representatives website. Go
to Refrigus. You can send me an email right there,
or you can call my office. We're only you know,
state weaponization. That's my committee, but I'm also a vice
chair of the Child Welfare Committee as well, so we
have a lot going on with CPS. Castro has failures

(35:02):
within the CPS system, and we had an explosive hearing
last week.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
As well on that.

Speaker 8 (35:09):
And I can come back and later a date and
maybe talk through some of those things. But the weaponization
of government, ninety percent of the people that have reached
out to us, or we've reached out to them are
either too scared to come forward publicly to testify, or
they're already in litigation with data and asshol.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
I can imagine how frightening that all must be. But
that's such an important subject as well. Rep. Please come on,
let's talk about that again. In the future, we'll have
to have you back on. Thank you so much for
taking the time today.

Speaker 8 (35:41):
Thank you for sharing the story.

Speaker 7 (35:42):
Justin.

Speaker 8 (35:42):
We appreciate everything.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
You do my pleasure. God Bless. Make it a great
weekend you too.

Speaker 8 (35:47):
Thank you back with.
