Speaker 1 (00:00):
They've been talking about since it dropped. The timing no coincidence,
But those folks in Congress are very own. Senator Alissa Slockin.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Senator Alissa Slockin, Senator Mark Kelly, Representative Chris Deluzio's, Congressman
Maggie Goodlander, Representative Chrissy Hulahan, Congressman Jason Crowe.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
I was a captain in the United States.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Navy, former CIA officer, former Navy, former paratrooper and Army ranger.
Speaker 4 (00:24):
Former intelligence officer.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Former Air Force. We want to speak directly to members
of the military and the intelligence community to take risks
each day to keep Americans safe.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
We know you are under enormous stress and pressure right now.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Americans trust their military, but that trust.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Is at risk.
Speaker 4 (00:39):
This administration is pitting our uniform, military.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
And intelligence community professionals.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Against American citizens like us.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
You all swore an oath.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
To protect and defend this constitution.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Right now, the threats to our constitution aren't just coming
from abroad, but from right here at home.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Our laws are clear.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
You can refuse illegal orders, can use illegal orders.
Speaker 5 (01:02):
This guy may be the worst.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
You must refuse illegal orders.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
I just want to start by the way this conversation
from a Congressman Mike Rodgers on with us he's running
for senatate. I want to start this conversation with a
reminder to folks. I've said it before, I'm going to
say it again that Alyssa Slocket would not be the
Senator today making those statements. Had we gone out, gotten together,
(01:28):
united and elected Mike Rodgers as our senator, we wouldn't
even be here in this situation. Why do I want
to remind people elections have consequences. There is no time
to sit it out and looking for a perfect candidate,
et cetera. That's just not going to ever happen. It
does not exist. We're not going to agree with everyone
(01:48):
on everything, and in the meantime, what we get is
we get someone who is deliberately putting the country at risk.
Glenn said in a statement, and I completely wholeheartedly agree
with this, is that what it did and I want
to find out Congressman, want you how you think about this?
But he said, you know what it really did is
it put the world on notice that America is weak,
(02:10):
that they have an opportunity to come in. There may
be a coup if something like this happened under Putin's
Russia that we would be thinking maybe there was a
coup underway. What are your thoughts when you saw this video?
I mean, I can imagine. I don't want to put
words in your mouth, but what was your take on it?
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Welcome in?
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yeah, thanks, And I was a military officer served in
the United States Army. I was an order its guy
signed to the seventh Infantry Division in ford Or, California.
This is encouraging in subordination at the very best. It's dangerous,
it's reckless. And you notice it doesn't say, uh, you
know what particular illegal order they're talking about. They're just
(02:49):
talking about it in general. What you're doing is interjecting
confusion within the ranks of the United States military and
the integrity of that of those units when you do
something is inane? Is this and they all should know better.
I think they knew exactly what they were doing, and
it would create confusion.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Again.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
I think it's in subordination or supporting insubordination in the
United States military at the very least. And think of
this in the modern age. When you get this kind
of confusion interjected across the United States military, which by
the way, puts soldiers at risk and marines and sailors
and airmen all over the world, their families. I think
it jeopardizes the security of the United States. You talked
(03:34):
about the Russians. You know what, the Russians love misinformation
and disinformation campaigns. You don't think they're taking that and
talking to military personnel and fill in the country.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Of course they are. They are absolutely going to use.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
This to encourage, they hope in subordination in the United
States military. I think this was maybe one of the
worst things I've seen in a very long time by
a group of people who should know better.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
Than to do this and put confusion in the.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Ranks of the military.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
It's it's wrong and dangerous, irresponsible. I mean, I don't
know how many other adjectives I can come up with.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Well, this was clearly you know, this was this was
clearly planned. I mean, the timing of it, it was
like almost like a pr piece propaganda. Really, the way
they rolled it out right after the Epstein Files vote.
This was supposed to be the next thing that we're
supposed to be talking about over Turkey at Thanksgiving, and
Trump's got It's done. The illegal orders and you know,
(04:29):
you got to He's got to be stopped. And that's
that's what the whole point of this was. Now, Glenn
Back wrote this and he shared it all the week,
and the President shared it too. He said, the law
that Donald Trump, President Trump is looking for is eighteen USC.
Twenty three eighty seven, and he goes on to say
activities affecting Armed Forces general. This statue makes it a
federal crime to do any of the following with the
intent to interfere with US military operations, advise, urge, or
(04:54):
attempt to cause insubordination. This is what you just discussed, disloyalty, mutiny,
or refusal of duty among members of the US military. Secondly,
obstruct your attempt to obstruct recruiting, enlistment, or general military operations.
Or third, distribute written materials advocating any of the above.
This law does not require advocating the overthrow of the government.
That's a different section, he said. But specifically undermind, by
(05:16):
the way, the penalty I think I read on this
was ten years. So what needs to happen next here?
Because I I this to me, you're kind of in
a pickle. You got to take it seriously because if
you don't, they'll continue in the Overton window will open
further and further, and they'll do more and more of this.
(05:36):
But anything that you do, knowing, anything that you do,
will then lead to them saying, look, see, I told you,
I told you he is a fascist, this, that and
the other thing.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
It's a really fine line here, isn't it.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Oh, absolutely, And when you say you must disobey orders,
now you have every private first class doubting the platoon sergeant.
That's why this insubordination piece.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
In that law.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
And by the way that law was created, I think
it was right at the end, or maybe right at
the yeah, I think it was last year, right at
the end of World War Two. Why because people who
were these other countries were saying, hey, if you're of
German descent, you shouldn't be fighting. Hey, if you're of
Japanese descent, you shouldn't be fighting on behalf of the Americans.
(06:22):
It was purposely designed to cause troubles and chaos and
in subordination among the ranks. So they came up with
this lot says about shall not do that, because that's
how you get people hurt, that's how you get people killed.
That's how you take the finest fighting force and break
it up and make it a much, much much weaker.
(06:42):
And so yes, I think they should set their partisanship aside.
And this was hyper hyper partisanship. Now they're trying to
confuse the United States military with their hyper partisanship. They
ought to step back, They ought to do a clarification video.
They ought to apologize for it at the very least,
and say this is not what we were talking about.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
We were you.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
We think you should stand up for your units, follow
follow your orders of your seniors, uh, and get your
mission done, and we hope you to thank you for
your service. By the way, that's what they should do.
I don't know what they're going to do. I think
they're probably going to double down that I already see
that Slotin's doubling down and say no, no, this is
all about Trump. Uh No, this was your decision. It
(07:26):
was a horrific decision. It's a dangerous decision. And every
parent of a military soldier, sailor marine ought to be
really honked off right now that they're trying to sow
confusion with either there the people that work for them,
or their seniors in the United States military, really dangerous stuff.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
It's going to get somebody killed.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
I mean, that's just the bottom line on this, and
God forbid, but that's that's where this type of thing goes.
Speaker 5 (07:52):
And we can ever allow.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
This to take a take a hold because it's just
a slippery slope. Is is is the name of it
all together? Now, you did say, and she she did
sort of back off. So at President Trump, this is
ABC this weekend. No, he hasn't issued these orders yet,
they can't name them. And then she went on to
defend it, using a few good men as her reference
(08:15):
for a movie as a reference for this. It is,
it is, It's unthinkable and unfortunately in this you know,
hyper politicized age, Democrats will stop at nothing. But I
think that goes just really to prove the point of
the race of what you're you're facing here in Michigan.
Slockin tried to really run as a very sort of reasonable,
(08:37):
middle of the road sort of candidate. And the folks
that you're up against this time, boy there anything. But
I mean, so if you think she's bad, just wait,
do you see what these individuals would do?
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Well?
Speaker 2 (08:49):
And remember ran on, Hey, I was gonna go back,
and I'm going to work with Trump, and I get
along with everybody. I worked for both Republicans and Democrats
when when she was a CIA analyst apparently, and so
when you look at all of that, it was all
a sham. And I'll tell you why this is important,
and people need to understand that she hasn't done any
(09:10):
of that. By the way, she hasn't worked.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
She's poked the President in the eye every chance.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
You know, Mischian has some unique needs and some unique
opportunities that we ought to be taken advantage of. And
if we had a Democrat or a Senator that could
actually actually work with the President of the United States,
imagine what good things could happen for our state.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Number One.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
But when you think about the fact that all three
of the Democrat opponents in the primary right now, they're
all trying to be They're going to the left as
crazy as they can. But then they'll put out statements
but I'm the only moderate one in the Democrat race.
They're all going to try to track back and tell it,
try to convince you that they're moderates. This is even
(09:52):
Abdul l siet is going back and deleting all of
his former texts about defund the police and let criminals
out of jail would by the way, they all support
these positions, and so they're not going to tell you
the truth come this election cycle. That's why this race
is so equally as important. And if we want to
get those things done, we want to legislate those executive
(10:13):
orders so that the Democrats can't get in and undo
these things willy nilly. That's why this election is so
so important. Yep, you sent Donald Trump there.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
Which is great.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
I think that was the most important election in my lifetime.
But now we have to get ready for what happens next.
He'll be there for two years after I'm elected to
the United States Senate. Let's get some great things done
for the state of Michigan, and let's get the country
ready to build up some firewalls. Here to this really
radical left wing crazy thought that they want to bring
(10:45):
into politics all across the country, including what you know,
the government run in your grocery stores, eliminating private health insurance.
I mean, these folks are exactly who you think they are,
but they're not going to tell you that. They're going
to tell you something very very different and you saw
that with Senator Slockt Seins.
Speaker 4 (11:04):
She's going to be moderate, that's just going to work
with the president.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
She hasn't done any of that.
Speaker 5 (11:07):
Let's get to some good news.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Congressman Mike Rogers, I'm sure you'd love to talk about
some good things as well. Running for Senate here and
say this Thanksgiving week, we were just talking about this
and plans for Thanksgiving off the air, but look at this.
This is from NBC News. Now, folks, Thanksgiving dinner is
historically affordable this year, and I locked at the turkey
(11:31):
prices and it's I think some of the lowest we've
seen aside from COVID, the COVID you're twenty twenty, that
we've seen in a long time.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Yeah, I mean there are certain parts of the count
of prices are coming down. I think Walmart announced it
was a pretty significant reduction and they sell turkey dinners,
was a pretty significant reduction. Gas prices are down, egg
prices are down, and so what's happening. It takes time
and we all need to be a little bit patient.
For four years the Biden inflation policy and Democrats helped
(12:04):
them get.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
Along with that. We're devastating and.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
They've raised prices so significantly that it's going to take
a while to nip away at that. And so what's
happening with I think good economic policy with reshoring efforts
here in the state, which means we're going to have
more higher paying jobs here in the state, which is
a great opportunity here. Gas prices are going to be down.
That's important for everything we touch because it all gets
(12:30):
delivered by fuel.
Speaker 4 (12:31):
Farmers have to use fuel to take crops out of
the field.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
I mean, it all has.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
A reductionary impact on the cost of goods and services.
It's just going to take some time to knock down
that Biden inflation that absolutely took the breath out of
all of us and certainly knocked our wallets out of
our hands. It's starting to come back. I think the
President's policies are working and we just have to give
them a little latitude. But Thanksgiving dinners down. They're coming
(12:58):
out with some new housing things that I think is
going to be housing a little more affordable coming out.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
That hasn't hit yet, but I know that's coming. They're
going to try to fix the terrific Democrat healthcare plan.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
That they gave you.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
So those prices have gone nothing but up since the
Democrats told you you could keep your doctor and by
the way, your health insurance would go down.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
That's been exactly the opposite of that.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
And so now the Republicans are saying, we've got a
plan to help fix that, to actually put prices or
pressure on prices.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
So I think there's a lot of good news.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
And don't forget no tax on overtime, no tax on tips,
no tax on social creity. That's coming the first quarter
of next year. And so there is good news on
the horizon.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
And you know, we hang in there, celebrate family, say
a few prayers.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
I tell you what, We're going to be in really
good shape going into next year economically personally, our personal economics,
and we're going to have I believe, more job opportunities
at a higher pay across the state of Michigan by
bringing these reshoring manufacturing backs, the tariffs that the President
has put on.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
You know, talk to a guy the other day.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Justin put on a second shift for the first time
in twenty five years. Another guy on the east side
of the state added thirty jobs to his small manufacturing plant.
General Motors announces four billion dollars of investment in the state,
all because they're reshoring back to the United States and
back to Michigan where it should have been in the
first place. We shouldn't have sent these jobs to China.
(14:29):
And so you know, we're finally telling China we're done
playing your game. We're done sending our jobs in our
middle class to Beijing.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
We're not doing that anymore.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
And it's a good day for America. It's a good
day for Michigan, and I think we're all going to
benefit this going into next year.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
Former Congressman Mike Rodgers running for Senate this year and
again showing how important it is to get the job done.
What President Trump get to work and make sure all
the things that he's been doing, Let's let's make sure
we continue down that road and send him send them
a little bit of reinforcement there as as well online
the website where can folks find you, catch up and
maybe see you throughout the state.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Yeah, Rogers for Senate dot com g e R SFR
four Senate dot com. To have your listeners engaged, come
on the site, follow us if you if you have
a couple of Nichols in the in the couch cushions.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
Send those along. We certainly need.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
The two Democrats are pouring money in this state. This
is the opportunity to make a change that we'll have
a generational impact on conservative values. And you know, my
dad used to say, justin you either send somebody to Washington,
d C. Or Washington d C will send somebody for you.
This is our chance to send somebody to Washington, d C.
(15:42):
That grew up here, My whole life is here, that
that has Michigan values, that are going to go to
Washington represent our values.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
There always a pleasure. Thank you so much for taking
the time, and a little bit of good news there
as well from a Congressman Mike Rodgers. Thank you sir,
and Thanksgiving.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
Happy Thanksgiving, blessing to all of you
Speaker 5 (16:03):
You too, God bless more in just minutes, folks,
