(00:10):
Now a full speed ahead on anotherbig, big, big, big,
big big week, folks, SavannahMath, we have we've got some breaking
news that came out yesterday. Bythe way, the r n C continues
and that's a big one. Obviously, We've had some major folks on that
(00:30):
stage speaking from Michigan, which hasbeen interesting to watch. And we've got,
of course, uh, two morenights now. Tonight tonight we're gonna
have JD. Vans, the vicepresidential nominee, JD. Vance, Senator
(00:51):
from Ohio, speaking this evening, and so that'll be another big night.
Of course, Trump hasn't spoken yet. He's essentially in his in the box
and they're different dignitaries and folks whojoin him in that box. Last night,
Congressome and Lisa McClain joined him.And by the way, we had
(01:14):
really really interesting another one, reallyreally interesting number of guests again and folks
who are showing up. And lastnight it seemed to be all about anyway,
the all about the folks who area little essentially these were these were
(01:41):
challengers at one point. These arepeople who are well nicky Haley, which
was interesting. A couple of boozeduring that that point last night we had
Ron DeSantis at one point. Thosewere all interesting and and some everyday Americans
(02:02):
as well, so there were somespeeches that made sense. One from Michigan
again, we'll get to that comingup here in just a moment as well.
But another big night. We alsolearned that President Trump is coming back
to Michigan. Now, this isthe first rally since the horrific attempt on
(02:25):
his life last Saturday. The firstone is going to be here in Michigan.
In fact, it'll be at inGrand Rapids, west side of the
state on Saturday. So after theywrap up everything in Wisconsin, they'll have
across the lake and they will havea massive rally, and it'll be interesting
(02:53):
to see what that crowd is like. They kind of have mixed thoughts on
whether or not I would want togo this soon, but you know,
it will be indoors. It'll beinside a stadium, which I think is
is probably you know, I don'tyou can't tell him what he's going to
(03:13):
do and what he can't do.Any I doubt you're going to be able
to do much of that. Whenit comes to telling President Trump wanted to
do and what he can and can'tdo on these things, and I just
I it's gonna be interesting because Idon't know, I don't know if I'd
(03:35):
want to go right back out toanother one. But he doesn't stop.
He doesn't stop, and there Ithink a lot of folks that still want
to go to these things and andwill. So that's that's a whole other
piece of of all of it.And uh man, oh man, you
you talk about well, you talkabout wild they are and they generally tend
(04:01):
to be. So that's big. When he'll be here in Michigan this weekend.
There are more details now coming outabout the failures from saturdays attempt on
his life and more threats here. We've just found out more threats to assessinate
Trump. There were threats at therangec yesterday. One man arrested with an
(04:21):
AK forty seven, a pistol, and a scream mask from that movie screen.
It's kind of like a ghost lookingmask. He was arrested near the
convention. One man shot and killedby police outside the arena. So these
(04:42):
are this is unfortunate but very true. What we're seeing is I think,
and essentially we may even see moreof this copycat style attempts because some of
these loonies got the go ahead.Oh, you go out there and get
(05:05):
it done. And then the rhetoricthat continues. Now Trump is well,
he's he hasn't spoken at all,and everything he said's been very kind of
calm, cool, collected quiet. But Biden and the Democrats and the media
have kind of slipped back into this. You remember that we got to lower
the temperature. Now they've slipped backinto at TAGMA right now, I want
(05:28):
you to watch on the left handside of your screen. You see what
looks like two people walking into thestreet here. Then you see what seems
to be police officers behind them. Now, this is where we're going to
freeze the video where the shots wereallegedly fired. Again, this happened here
fourteenth of the Belt and that's wherewe find our Stephanie Court tonight. And
Steph, you've learned a lot inthe last hour. Tell us what you've
(05:51):
learned. This is from local televisionaffiliate there and walk. Yeah, well
we've actually just learned. The pressconference we've been away for here at seventeenth
and Valite is going to be heldin about thirty minutes at six thirty.
We will be learning more from MilwaukeePolice. I'm gonna step out of the
way here. As you could see, this area is still very blocked off
(06:15):
again. We're near King Park inseventeenth and Valite, the corner of seventeenth
and vLite in about three blocks south. It's also all taped off. We've
learned from the street angels and familymembers the man shot was homeless and lived
in this neighborhood. His name isSamuel Sharp and he is in his forties.
(06:38):
We've also learned Milwaukee Police are handlingthe investigation and the US Secret Service
is playing some role in the investigation. Over the past few hours that we've
been here this the police presence atthe scene has died down a bit,
but it's still taped off. Youcan't imagine. I mean, everybody's on
(06:58):
eggshells right now, and they oughtto be walking on eggshells right now because
of everything that's happened over the lastseveral days. Meanwhile, Milwaukee police arrested
a twenty one year old for carryinga concealed weapon yesterday afternoon. Capitol police
initially observed the suspect looking suspicious, wearing a ski mask and a large tactical
(07:25):
backpack in the street. The UnitedStates Capitol Police performed a subject stop.
It was determined the suspect was concealinga firearm in his backpack. The suspect
does not have a legal CCW permitin Wisconsin or any other state. Yikes.
(07:46):
Suspect arrested and charged pending review bythe Milwaukee County District Attorney's office.
As you can imagine, with everythingelse that's going on, this is you're
going to get high focus, inhigh priority on all of these things.
And they ought to, by theway, they ought to. After the
massive failure that occurred the other day, there is an even bigger spotlight and
(08:13):
a microscope really on the on theefforts that are being that are being done.
Now. You saw President Trump cameout first night on Monday night in
all of his Secret Service. Thedetail that was surrounding him were these large
men, and that's just all men, but they're all very large, beefy
(08:33):
men. After there was scrutiny overthe female agents, their size essentially and
who was obviously there to protect him. That's a that's a whole other thing
that I think is piece of thisthat we're continuing to pick apart. By
(08:54):
the way, there are more detailson what happened. More and more you
hear about this. I've said itbefore, but I'm gonna I'll say it
again. The question is it's eitherflat out this is this is your option,
flat out incompetence and at a levelwe've never seen before, or all
of it was intentional. There's athird option that as I consider all of
(09:16):
this, I'm adding which it mightbe both. In other words, this
might help be how I would putit, intentional incompetence. In other words,
they have intentionally thrown monkey wrenches intothe machine here in order to in
(09:37):
order to cause a failure or abreakdown and a catastrophic outcome. Now a
lot of this is due, infact, some of the things we talked
about before, this critical everything butMarxism and the build back better, the
whole line tag have talked about thisbefore. In order to build back better,
(09:58):
you have first tear down. Seewhat these people want to do is
they want to tear down the system. They want to burn it all down,
and they're finding people sympathy, sympatheticand in fact in even on the
other side of the I don't knowif it's an aisle we'll call it the
alley. Some of these people, they they have found people that are so
(10:20):
sympathetic to their cause. They wantto burn it down too, but they
want something different when they when theywhen they bring it back. And there
are a lot of people out thereusefully to go along with this stuff that
don't realize that they are pawns inthis display and deployed to destroy this this
country. So we are finding outmore about what happened on Saturday. The
(10:43):
assassination attempts failed attempt, thank god, against the President Trump, but there
are also new threats on the presidentas as well. Now these new threats
are old threats. We just werenever told about them. And that's kind
of what makes it even worse knowingwhat we know now and what they did
(11:03):
or didn't do on Saturday. Iwant to get to that story too,
coming up, and we got audiofrom last night as well more coming out
this morning. As you with us, We appreciate you. John Ans.
The Midwesterner has to let itself downfrom around the state and beyond blind can
I am back next? And I'mlooking thought some accent, but like Nick
(11:24):
Jaggers said, I can't get nosatisfaction anymore. The news. It's always
tough now, But you know what'sinteresting. I just I watch the latest
(11:50):
about some of these things that arecoming out, and of course I don't
know. I just think this makesit even worse. We know what we
know now in in some of theselatest pieces are even worse. But what's
coming out of what's coming out ofwhat happened on Saturday. We add insult
(12:20):
to injury. And I know there'ssome people questioning this online whether what I'm
about to tell you is true ornot. This this isn't well, We're
just going to say it this way. It doesn't matter inso much. I'm
(12:43):
not running off to war with thiscountry. That's not what I'm saying.
But when we hear the story thatI ran, now there were some sort
of credible threats that Iran wanted toassassinate President Trump. We know that they've
they've had them. They've been makingthese threats for a long time. Now,
okay, we we we know thatthe threats coming this time from Iran
(13:11):
more threats. Of course, thisgoes back to the assassination of Suleiman.
I don't remember the guy's name, but the guy that Trump came out and
he said we killed him. He'sdead like a dog. He cot you
know, that whole thing, thatwhole announcement that guy. There's still not
about that. And now we're gettingso we're getting conflicted, but it's it's
(13:37):
confirmation. We've getting confirmed posts thatand in updates here that what what's going
on. And I think it makesit even worse that they've had these threats
out there and that they are credible. And by the way, doesn't doesn't
(14:05):
that mean everything that you've seen,everything that that's that's taking place, doesn't
that mean that what happened this weekendis it's even worse. I think you
make the case because if there werethese credible threats out there, ah,
(14:31):
and you allowed to happen what justhappened, That's that's something, isn't it.
I mean, it's it just Ithink it just adds to everything that
we're seeing. So I tell youthis story to tell you to really add
sort of the underscore on everything,to highlight it that this again shows the
(15:00):
insanity of what we witnessed on onSaturday. So here's here's essentially the story
here. Okay, So threats fromIran is that's that's that's the assassination threat
to Donald Trump's Secret Service protection hasbeen increased, they said, which which
I don't know that I believe becausewe heard reports to the opposite that they
(15:24):
had requested uh more strength and moreincreased protection, and yet that hadn't happened.
So they are reporting US alerted SecretServices unspecified threats to Trump from Iran.
This came Washington Post, reports,ABC newsc in and everybody all over
(15:46):
it. Secret Service ramped up securityafter intel Iran plot. Alleged plot that
killed Trump led Secret Service to increases. I don't think that's real. I
I don't. Well, maybe, but they dumped it all on Saturday.
It won't protect Jill Biden. Maybethey did up the ante for a bit,
(16:07):
but it's it's not We're not seeingthat anymore any longer. In recent
weeks, they'd increased Donald Trump's securitydetail due to the intelligence indicating there was
an Iranian threat to assassinate the formerpresident. There's no indication the plot was
related to the assassination attempt against theformer president on Saturday. The sources have
(16:29):
suggested around has been making these typesof threats since the assassination of military officers.
Some Solamani CNN the first to reportthe increased detail. Let's see,
he has learned that the Secret Servicehad already increased protection for Trump before that
(16:51):
Pennsylvania rally because of intelligence that Iranwants to assassinate Trump. So of course
the question, now, how wasthat young gunman able to get on that
roof even with increased security amid concernsover Iran. Here's Peter Thomas tonight tonight,
officials confirming. Let me, letme just tell you, Dave,
they would mirror there with ABC.Let me just tell you because the security
(17:15):
wasn't increased, the fact it wasdecreased that day. They had intelligence of
threats from Iran to assassinate former PresidentTrump well before the shooting at Saturday's rally,
in response to Secret Service in recentweeks serging resources to boaster his security
detail. But even that could notprevent the attempt on Trump's life. But
(17:37):
I think this is a you knowwhat I think this is they have to
like really suss it out. Ithink this is a story, a counter
story meant to counter the narrative andthe truth the fact that they had not
they had decreased and they had donesuch a poor job. I think that's
what this story is trying to getout, that they had increased secure.
I don't believe that's true. Ireally don't, not after seeing what we
(18:00):
saw, not after knowing that wesaw, like the amateur hour that took
place that. By the way, there's new details that are coming out about
more on happened on Saturday, andI want to get to some of that
coming out. But first a littlebit more of this. The White I
was saying Iran for some time iswanted revenge for Trump ordering the strike that
(18:22):
killed military Commander Cassam Solomani in twentytwenty, but official stress there's no evidence
linking Iran to the shooter. AtTrump's rack, of course not he was
a crazy leftist. Anyway, moreon that and and this story look,
like I said, I think there'syou're gonna hear more and more throughout the
(18:44):
days ahead and the story. Asthe truth comes out, you're known Wet'll
see the little things like this that'llcome out to sort of counter that.
Because it's the information war, theydon't want people to know how bad it
was and essentially how bad it is. So I said earlier, there are
three different possibilities I've now switched.I said two. They're first originally it's
either intentional or it's it's it's incompetenceor it is an intentional incompetence. In
(19:08):
other words, we put these foolsand buffoons in control, and we do
it intentionally to cause a complete systemand failure, the breakdown. Will we
have a complete system and failure breakdown, we can in come and say we
got to start from scratch. Wegotta make it up. We just hate
that this is all happen. Andby the way, they want to do
this in every area, every area, every sector, every government agency,
(19:33):
everything, so they can make itin their own from scratch. That's what
this is all about. We gotto take a quick break. We'll get
the leaders, news, weather, traffic, bottom of the hour altogether coming
out, and of course more updatesfrom the on sea last night. We'll
give you those two and some folksthinking from Michigan, if that all coming
(19:53):
up. Troutch News to superstation tennAM speakers of STAE the less side of
the RNC couple actually from Michigan.Mike Rodgers running for City No America of
Mike Rogers candidate for the United StatesSenate for the great state of Michigan.
And I want to give a quickshout out to my fellow Michiganders, the
(20:15):
hardest working people in the United States. God bless you. Right there about
it, I said, because JoeBiden and my liberal opponents runaway spending.
American families have been crushed by inflation, high costs of groceries and gasoline and
rented I was talking to a groceryclerk just recently. She said, I
(20:40):
got it when this cart's got alittle skinny at the beginning of Joe Biden's
administration because of high costs. Butwhat breaks my heart is at the end
of ringing up in order they haveto reach up and pull something off the
counter and put it back in theircart. Thanks to the Democrats in Washington,
DC, the most expensive vehicle tooperate in Michigan in twenty twenty four
(21:03):
is your grocery cart, thanks tothe Democrats in Washington, DC. And
while pockets are pinched, Biden istrying to force you to buy an electric
vehicle. Better get a long extensioncord. Let me be clear, EV
(21:27):
mandates will destroy American jobs. Evsrequire forty percent less labor to build than
gas cars. And here's the kicker. Eighty five percent of the critical minerals
needed to build them are processed inChina. It is impossible to build an
(21:48):
EV without getting into bed with theCommunist Party of China. Listen, my
opponent even signed an agreement to usetaxpayer money to bring a Chinese battery company
to Michigan. Your taxpayer's money,I'll tell you this. I will never
put our children's future at the handsor the matter of fact, the Michigan
(22:11):
auto business in Michigan in the handsof the Chinese Communist Party, and it's
the Republicans that are going to stopthem from doing that. I'm committed to
keep Americans safe from threats both athome and abroad. As a former Army
(22:32):
officer, FBI special agent battling organizedcrime, and Chairman of the House Intelligence
Committee, I've seen how dangerous theworld can be. But in all my
time working to protect America, Ihave never seen anything like the Biden Harris
open border policy. They are rollingout the red carpet for violent games Fentanhol,
(22:57):
Chinese spies, individuals on the terroristwatch list, and listen, our
adversaries aren't stupid. They know thatall they need to do is wait until
nap time at the White House topush the limit. Does anyone really believe
that another four years of Biden,Harris and the Democrat Senate will make us
(23:18):
safer or more prosperous. I certainlydon't, and I don't think Michigan does
either. Listen, it is longpast time that we restore law and order.
We make groceries affordable again, wemake America respected again, we make
America safe again. We flip theUnited States Senate and elect Donald Trump and
(23:45):
make America great again. Thanks, get fired up. This is the election.
To do your work. There,he is, s out Mike Rogers.
Last night on stage amongst the hostof others is a big night in
a lot of ways. Some ofthe different folks speaking in fact, that
(24:06):
others others from Michigan on the stageto Perry Johnson mad Anygoblatory, former gooblatorial
candidate Perry Johnson can as well. Here he is in a very exuberant moment.
Yes, yes, yes, I'mready to do whatever is necessary to
(24:27):
get Trump back in the White House. Are you with me? Yes,
yes, yes, Trump Trump,Let's going. It kind of reminds me
(24:47):
of it's a little Howard dan esque. Honestly, you remember Howard Dean New
Mexico. They were gonna go onWisconsinent. Then we're gonna remember all that.
Oh man, that was brilliant. That thing will live on in infinity
in the he didn't. He didn't, his path didn't take him to the
White House obviously, but ended upbeing the head of the d n C
(25:11):
at one point. Like a littlebit of that enthusiasm from Perry Johnson last
night. Anyway, there you gothere playing out there. That was great.
Yeah, I gotta hear that onemore time. Hang on. I
(25:33):
am ready to do whatever it's necessaryto get Trump back in the White House.
Are you with me? Yes?Yes, yes, Drop Dropp.
That's going to become a meme,I'm afraid and and probably for good reason.
(25:56):
There were other folks last night whoalso made a big splash, And
I'm gonna play clips throughout the day. In fact, we'll probably get part
of maybe more more than just partof it. But you know, there's
another interesting thing to see that sellthese challengers up on stage throwing their support
behind President Trump last night. RonDeSantis also Nicki Haley, but Governor de
(26:19):
Santis, as a citizen, asa husband, and as a father,
I am alarmed that the current presidentof the United States lacks the capability to
discharge the duties of his office. Our enemies do not confine their designs to
between ten am and four pm.That's right. We need we need a
(26:44):
commander in chief who can lead twentyfour hours a day and seven days a
week. America cannot afford four moreyears of a weekend at Bernie's presidency.
Good, that's good. I likethat, gotta have I I know they're
(27:06):
speeding through because they're watching the clock. I know that because I get it.
You know, they give them whatthree four minutes, however long it
is, each of these folks. And you know, you're just you're blowing
through. You're trying to get asmany people up there, as much bang
for your buck, as much powerin that punch you can pack, and
(27:29):
and you want to get them allup there and get their message out and
move them on. But uh,you gotta pause that that weekend at Bernie's
line was good. That was good, you got it. I know,
there's like I gotta get through this. Gotta give the audience time time to
react. And by the way,the full DeSantis speech, maybe we'll get
(27:53):
to more of that coming up thefull speech. There was another one from
Nicki Haley, but also the vaguewell, I tell you if Avek was
on it too yesterday. So you'vegot you caught a couple of these that
I think we're headline making and forgood reason yesterday that that you're gonna hear
and see more of uh coming upas the as the day rolls on here,
(28:18):
what else do we got to makesure we tell you about. Oh
yeah, there's more news, there'smore developments. And this this is coming
out of Saturday's failed attempt. Oh, I think we told you a little
of this yesterday. Shooter had detonatorsin his pocket. He locked eyes at
one point with a Secret Service sniperthrough his rangefinder before the attack. By
(28:41):
the way, they did see thisguy run around. They spotted him suspiciously
at one point. Then they sawhim with a backpack and a range They
saw him pull out a range finder, which is a device that would tell
you how far you are from yourtarget, and he pulled it out and
pointed it towards UH Trump in thatdirection. That's that's that's crazy. The
(29:12):
assassin told coworkers he would be backon Sunday. Well, that's that's that
did not happen. That's interesting,Aaron, there's been some development, says,
the investigation has progressed. You knowwhat the what the investigators are telling
(29:32):
us is as far as a motive, a manifesto, the reasoning behind this,
the suspect is still a blank slate. But what they have developed is
a lot of the background about whathappened that day. They know that he
went to his employer at the nursinghome where he works as a dietary specialist
before this and said I need Saturdayoff. I have something important to do.
(29:56):
But he told his coworkers, I'llsee you on Sunday, so he
changed his days off, presumably forthis. We also understand that when he
got to the fair grounds where thisrally was being held for Donald Trump,
the first thing that puts him onthe radar of security people is near the
magnetometer area where they're screening people in. He's carrying in his hand a rangefinder.
(30:18):
It's a device that looks like asmall pair of binoculars, but it's
used by shooters to measure the distancewhen they're setting up a long distance shot.
Because he didn't have a weapon, that would not have prevented him to
go through security, but they didflag what does he have this in his
hand for? At that point theytold people keep an eye on this guy.
(30:41):
But then he leaves the secure area, the staging area, and he
doesn't turn up again for some timeuntil the crowd says there's a guy crawling
up the roof and it appears hehas a rifle. There is an eerie
moment in here aaron where he's takingthe rangefinder and he's looking through it at
the counter sniper positions, and oneof the counter sniper positions is looking at
(31:06):
him through the scope. At thispoint, there's not a gun in the
picture as I understand it, butthey're saying he's looking at us, looking
at him. Then when people alertthe police and they try to come up
the ladder to get him, andhe confronts them with the AR fifteen gun,
they dive for cover, and thena moment later he opens fire.
(31:26):
But a lot of this sounds veryspread out. The end of it happens
very quickly. The last piece isthe search of the car. As we
reported last night, two remote controlledIEDs, remote controlled bombs in the car,
the remote control for those devices foundon his person on the roof,
(31:48):
according to sources, three fully loadedmagazines with nearly one hundred rounds, a
bulletproof vest. So it raises thequestion did he expect to escape from this?
And if so, what was allthat intended for? What was to
happen next? Questions that are stillopen in the minds of these investigators.
(32:08):
That's incredible. All of that isis bad enough. But Dn Bongino,
you know, former Secret Service himselftalking about this the other day, adding
some more context and details. Bythe way, this is this is from
(32:29):
an unimpeachable source, he says, adding something else to this conversation that I
think is, well, we're goingto be talking about it for some time
now. So you've got lots ofthe details still yet coming out here,
and lots of the details that remainquestionable at best. They are they I
(32:52):
think these are questionable, but someof them are. You know, we're
getting more information by day. Problemwith this stuff is it, you know,
the more you find out, themore questions you have, the more
answers you get, the more questionsyou have about it all and that's that's
a whole other issue. So howhow did he how did this man ever,
(33:17):
this kid, whatever you want tocall him, how did he ever
get up there? Why was thebuilding not secure? You know? How
do you ever in in the anybodymakes such a elementary mistake, especially a
mistake that I think any Hunter wouldwould not make. Any kid who's played
(33:37):
Call of Duty or Fortnite or anyone of those video games would not make.
We're talking about simple mistakes that leadto well, history making devastation.
Let's just put it. And anyway, it's impossible to overstate that, over
(34:00):
and over and over again. Itwill continue. But again, it's either
in competence, it's intentional, ormaybe it is it's both. We'll get
on to all of that and more. Plus the letters from Dan Bongino is
what he's noticed after this right, check out the letters from the headlines in
(34:20):
Midwestern or the Midwestern or done there'saround the state MBU. More details still
coming out here and the de choiceof this talk Superstation nine ten am.
The story about what really happened onSaturday continues to develop. This is from
(34:45):
the Don Junior podcast triggered, ashow he has on rumble and uh and
whatnot? A all together at theR and C talking about Action Pack.
They got Don Junior, who's hostingthe thing, Bongino as a guess,
and Tucker Carlson. But it wasn'tnecessarily the guest that that really made the
(35:07):
news out of this. It's whatBongino said about what he's hearing about what
actually took place on Saturday, moredetails. So I was just showing Tucker
some material from an unimpeachable source.Let's just say on the matter, that
post, according to my source, that roof was supposed to be a police
(35:30):
post. It was supposed to besomeone there. They're now making up excuses
saying the pitch or the roof.My source says to me, no one
knows why the post didn't show up. But so that's a nonsense story they're
putting out in the media. AndI was also told that the Secret Service
director has been given instructions from theadministration and the DHS secretary. If you
want to keep your job, you'llkeep your mouth shut about this. They're
(35:52):
not putting that out there, butif you get those site post logs and
those police instructions, and it wasa post on there and they didn't show
up and no one checked. Someonecould got your dad killed within millimeters.
So I was just showing that justcan't imagine. Like again, I've told
you it's either incompetence or it's intentional, and it may be both. It
(36:16):
may be so intentionally incompetent putting thesepeople in charge of things like the director.
There these goals that are based onjust craziness insanity instead of the people
that can do the right people todo the job. We're saying, well,
we're gonna make our decisions based uponyour body parts that you have,
(36:37):
the tone and color of your skin, these are the things that they're making
their decisions on, or your sexualpreferences. I mean imagine that that that's
this is the world that we livein, and and we're talking about massive
failure when you're when you're protecting,we are protecting the leader of the free
(37:01):
world or the let's say, theman who will be was and possibly will
be again. Just listen to thisand what he said. I was just
showing Tucker some material from a aan unimpeachable source. Let's just say on
the matter that post. According tomy source, that roof was supposed to
(37:22):
be a police post. It wassupposed to be someone there. They're now
making up excuses saying the pitch orthe roof. My source says to me,
no one knows why the post didn'tshow up, But so that's a
nonsense story they're putting out in themedia. And I was also told that
the Secret Service Director has been giveninstructions from the administration and the DHS secretary
(37:42):
if you want to keep your job, you'll keep your mouth shut about Yeah,
if you want to keep your job, you'll keep your mouth shut this.
They're not putting that out there. But if you get those site post
logs and those police instructions, andit was a post on there and they
didn't show up and no one checked, someone could have got your dad killed
within millimeters and the other This dovetailsagain with the other thing that we've been
hearing, which is there was therewas it like a B team operating that
(38:07):
day because they sent the A teamto doctor Jill. Doctor Jill was in
Pennsylvania somewhere to it. They senthis normal detail a lot of those folks
to guard doctor Jill. This isinexcusable. There is just no other word,
No other word for it in excuseme. Not only do people get
(38:31):
killed in this case, we hadthe folks there, innocent bystanders there,
firefighter, the man who lost hislife protecting his family. But this,
this nominee, this potentially next president, former president, next president of the
United States, would have been killed. But there's much more. That's a
(38:52):
stake folks in all right, we'llcontinue our coverage of it all. Coming
up next to check our news isweather, traffic together this morning. As
we get things, we'll roll inmore folks and speeches of the RNC last
night and more back after this Detroit'snews Talk Superstition. Can I it's another
(39:19):
big week and yes, more comingfrom We are in c this week and
in Milwaukee. Well the latest againa couple of folks speaking last night from
Michigan. The big and I thinkthis maybe isn't the largest most anticipated in
(39:45):
one of them is, I'll tellyou that much. He's one of them.
He's the top up there. JD. Van's expected to speak tonight in
UH, again in in Milwaukee andUH and then again President Trump will speak
Thursday night to round things out,but the nominee for vice president will be
(40:14):
the running maid he is. He'sthe guy. A little bit about JD.
Vans and find out a little bitmore about who he is. I
wrote hillbilli elogy because I wanted togive people a sense of what it was
like to live in a community likemine. I didn't think a whole lot
of stories were told about white workingclass Americans. I didn't think a lot
of stories were told about people whowere struggling with some of the problems we
(40:37):
were struggling with, joblessness, drugaddiction, and so forth. And I
thought that I could tell a storythat would make people understand my family a
little bit better and maybe, inthe process, understand the struggles of a
lot of families in Middletown the stateof Ohio more broadly. JD cares where
he came from everywhere with him,and he talked all the time about how
much he loved Middletown and Ohio andhis family, and he would tell me
(40:58):
all of these stories about why itwas the great place in the world.
In his mind, this is thecenter of the universe. And that's one
of the reasons that he was soso enthusiastic about bringing his whole family back
here. I am from Ohio.I grew up in this state. I
left to join the Marine Corps andI came back to build a business and
to raise a family because we wantedto raise our family in a place that's
(41:19):
beautiful, that has great people, and that has great values. And this
is my home. I love thisplace and I care about it. These
are his people, this is wherehe's from. These are the people who
carried him through difficult times in life. And he really believes, and I
believe that if he can get himselfinto a position to make a difference for
them, he will. He certainlyhas joining us talk a little bit more
(41:42):
about that, that decision as JDfor the running mate and what it all
can be, hit, his background, etc. Henry Payne, who's from
that was very close to that areawhere JD's from. Henry pan Detroit News,
Detroit's News Talk superstation nine ten am, Henry Prex. Should you taking
the time to be here with ustoday? Yeah, A good morning,
(42:04):
justin are you? Yeah? Ithought was an interesting pick. What's your
what's your thoughts on this? AsJD Vance Center from Ohio? Interesting background?
Yeah, I don't think it's interestinglistening to folks out of Washington,
New York talk about this pick sortof in classic Washington terms about you know,
(42:28):
positioning and and experience and UH andthe you know and and UH foreign
policy. And I don't think peopleunderstand how profound this this ticket is.
I come from UH from southern WestVirginia, which is the south southern Apalachia.
(42:51):
And J. D. Vance isfrom Ohio. He's a he's a
centator from Ohio, but he grewup in Breathett County, UH in Kentucky,
which is part of this UH SouthernAppalachian belt of of coal producing counties
in the Kentucky West Virginia region. And the fact that this this guy is
(43:15):
running on the same ticket as abillionaire who was raised, you know,
in a totally different place in America, Manhattan, UH is I is not
only profound from perspective of what youknow America offers in terms of the American
(43:36):
dream, but it also I thinkrepresents the the story, the incredible political
story of Donald Trump, that thatfella from from Manhattan understands this guy UH
from extreme poverty from southern Appalachia.I mean, the only the only ticket
I can think that would be comparableto this pairing would be been Carson,
(44:00):
who apparently was also in the vicepresidential conversation. Ben Carson comes from a
very similar place. Uh here inin uh in Detroit, and and both
both he and Vance, against allodds, uh lifted themselves up. And
(44:20):
uh and here that you know, here's Vance on the on the precipice of
of the of the of the WhiteHouse. But but the and there's another
fella in this conversation, and that'sJustice Clarence Thomas, who also came from
this extreme poverty in the United States, went to Ye Law School like JD.
Vance. I mean, these individualsare representative of America, but they're
(44:45):
also I think representative of what DonaldTrump sees in America. Uh, these
are not These are not racial issues, Ben Carson, UH. JD.
Vance Uh, Justice Thomas obviously amix of black and white. This is
more about class where they come from, and how difficult it has been in
(45:07):
the working class in this country inrecent years, in particular from this elitist
assault on communities like southern Apple hothe Ohio Valley in this climate change agenda.
And I think Trump understands that insome extraordinary way, probably business travelings,
(45:31):
but The fact that he is connectedwith j D. Vance is not
only a profound ticket, but Ithink really speaks to how Trump understands these
communities and has been able to flipthese historically democratic areas in southern Apple,
ho Ohio, up the Ohio Valley, in the Pennsylvania and of course over
here to Michigan. You know,it's interesting Henry Pan with us right now
(45:54):
talking about Jenny Vance in that pick. You know, to me, really
sort of as you just mentioned, shows Trump's the fact that he's in touch
with the forgotten man or the forgottenwoman, the forgotten Americans who are in
(46:14):
that well you call it russ Bellor the Midwest, in these areas that
are so the flyover country to folksback in Washington or in the coast,
they forgotten, They don't think aboutthem. This country was built, by
the way, on the backs ofthese folks and the people that came before
them, and they've essentially really justbeen discarded by a lot of these elites.
(46:39):
And I think a lot of thatsentiment is going to drive this election
in so many different ways. InMichigan, it could cost the state for
Democrats because of what they've done tothe auto industry and the workers who felt
the pain of the mandates of theevs and things like that. Just an
example, well and and and justinit really gets to what the important issues
(47:04):
are in this in this country.I mean this, this country is an
extraordinary country, historically richest country onEarth. This enormous middle class. I
mean, there are people come tothis country from everywhere on Earth because there's
no place like it. I mean, the opportunities here are beyond anything else
in the in the rest of theworld. Uh and and but there there
(47:27):
is this segment of society that reallystruggles. It's it's working lower working class
folks who get caught up and it'sa tough life. I mean they get
they get caught up in these industrialeconomic shifts. In the Ohio Valley where
I grew up. I grew upin Kanall Valley, which is part of
this belt of of of of countiesLogan Williamson. Then you cross over into
(47:52):
Breathet over in the Kentucky side,up up the up. The Ohio Valley
really got really got hit hard backin the nineteen eighties as steel factories closed
up that valley. And now youknow, and that was an economic cycle.
Now they're getting hit hard by apublic policy cycle in which Washington is
(48:14):
pointing at them and saying, wedon't want your jobs. I mean,
in twenty sixteen, I mean thisquote, I really think defines the difference
in the Democratic Party that used toexist, that used to represent these folks
does not anymore. The Democratic Partyis now a coastal party, and it's
an elite party from Massachusetts, fromCalifornia and Nancy Flosi. It used to
(48:36):
be a party of this area, where you had politicians like John Dingall here
in that party out of Missouri.Twenty sixteen, Hillary Clinton said this about
about the Ohio Valley of the Appalachianregion, We're going to put a lot
of coal miners and coal companies outof business. Period. And then she
(49:01):
talks about how important that is theclimate change. I mean, these are
people who are totally out of touchthis this elite Democrat class, totally out
of touch with people like JD.Fance's family. I mean, if you're
looking at public policy today, lookat families in Detroit, look at families
(49:22):
in Appalachia. They struggle. Imean, is it is a real struggle
for these folks in school to geteducations. Sometimes folks like JAD fans breakthrough
and go to college, go toy law. That's what you want to
focus on. You want to focuson climate change for God's sake. You
want to focus on getting folks, helping these folks with education, helping them
(49:45):
transition to to other jobs, helpingthem, you know, helping them with
drug academics. Drugs are rife inthese areas for obvious reasons. I mean,
it's a very difficult life. Youwant to focus like a laser on
getting drugs out of neighborhoods in Detroit, get drugs out of neighborhoods in these
(50:06):
southern Appalachian counties because they kill familiesand they kill opportunity. Let's talk briefly
if we can Henry Payne with usright now Detroit and the destroyed newsto E
Suprestation nine ten am and one ofthe one of the issues looking at here
with j D Health and JD Vanceand the really the moving forward, what
(50:30):
it's going to look like if PresidentTrump and his vice presidential nominee, the
running mate did jed Vance, Ifthey win in November, you get four
years of Trump. Then possibility ifthat administration goes away the last one.
Did it very well? That JDVance could find himself as the presidential nominee
(50:52):
four years from now? You couldsee eight years of Advance presidentcy That would
be wild? Does it say becausehe's only thirty nine? I mean the
youth of the party and the directionand and where things could be headed well,
And I think that's a lot ofwhat Trump sees in this young man.
(51:12):
I mean, you know, Trumpobviously grew up in very different circumstances,
but I suspect he sees the sameambition in JD. Vance and in
rising beyond his birthright. Trump obviouslywas was was born uh in good circumstances,
(51:34):
but turned that wealth into much partiesuh and and and wrote books about
America, ran for political office. So he's He's much more than a scion
of a wealthy family. He's somebodywho saw broader opportunities in the United States.
(51:55):
And I suspect he sees the samething of JD. Vance. Uh.
Jd Vance's are already known to millionsof people in this country is the
best selling author of Hillbilly Elogy. It's an extraordinary book and and I recommend
folks to read it. To understand, uh, this class from from this
forgotten class that he comes from inplaces like Detroit and Appalachia that people like
(52:20):
Hillary Clinton utterly speak down to.I mean, it's just extraordinary, uh,
to see politicians ignore these obvious problemsin their face. And I think
jd. Vance is an individual whogot his yell agree, went to Silicon
Valley, made a lot of money, but once that months to get back
once to do more. He's runfor public office like Trump has. He's
(52:43):
written books as Trump has, andhe's and he I think he has an
intellectual way of talking to these issuesthat that Trump Uh, that that that
impresses Trump. So I think that'sthat's what you're going to see going forward.
I hope that's what we're going tosee going forward, that the Advans
will speak to these issues, thesefamily issues that he speaks about in hillbillyology
(53:07):
that you can translate up here toDetroit and other struggling communities across the country.
How important the nuclear family is toraising children, getting them in education,
and getting them into the workforce.Yeah, it's the strength, the
backbone really of our nation. Weneed those things and of course the foundation
(53:28):
of everything I've got something else here, I know, listen, if you
can hang with us, we gotto a quick break and get some headlines.
But if you can, Henry,I'd like to ask you about this,
the latest West Miskian manufacturer survey showingtroubling signs for the EV industry,
something we've been talking about for awhile. Now, Can you hang for
a few minutes? Sure, allright, we'll be back with that after
(53:51):
this letter. Headlines around the statebeyond pub the Midwestern or the Midwesterner dot
News back next on nine ten am. Detroit's Talk Superstitions They shineing night.
Your latest tier from the Westerner,The Western Michigan manufacturer survey showing troubling signs
(54:16):
for the EV industry. News ofthe dealer lots starting to fill with an
overflow of EV's certainly not good news. Troubling signs on the horizon, they
say. Brian Long, director's SupplyManagement Research at GVSU's Siegman College of Business,
it's Grand Valley State University, toldgv next the June results of monthly
(54:38):
survey of local business fells bad newsof the EV industry and the companies that
rely on it. New orders, our index of business improvement dropped to its
low lowest level rather in six monthslong. Soe that, of course this
means over the longer term, productionis going to drop. Now, one
(54:58):
month's drop does not constant the trend, but we're going to have to watch
next month's numbers very closely, hesays, on the line with us right
now, Henry Payne, Detroit News, Detroit's News Talk superstation nine ten am.
This is something that we've been awareof and you've been watching, paying
attention to for a while. Now. Yeah, sorry there justin Yeah,
(55:19):
when we lost the connection there fora moment. Yeah, repeat the statistics
that you were talking about there. So this is GVSU Sieman College of Business
telling the gv next June results ofa monthly survey of local business spells bad
news for the EVY edustry. Neworders are index of business improvement. The
quotes has dropped to its lowest levelin six months. He says, of
(55:45):
course, this means over the longerterm, production is going to drop.
Now one month drop doesn't constitute atrend, but it's he says, We're
going to have to watch months numbersvery closely. Yeah, and you know
it speaks to uh, market economies. This is what happens when government dictates
(56:06):
markets. The auto industry right nowis being run by the government, not
by not not by marketing departments, and the government is determined that the future
is electric vehicles, you know, going back to our conversation before the break,
much like Hillary Clinton and the elitesand the Democratic Party determined that the
(56:29):
future for Apple h is not coaland energy, that it's it's uh,
it's windmills and fighting climate change. And when you when you get government this
involved in markets, it really screwsthem. And and no manufacturers they're they're
they're throwing evs into the market. They're trying to test the market to see
(56:50):
if there's demand there. My experienceis it's a very niche product. Electric
vehicles tend to skew to to aluxury buyer, somebody who has multiple cars
in their garage and drives them locally. But the luxury market in the United
States is about fifteen percent of themarket. That's and evs have sort of
(57:14):
stalled. If you look at therecent sales figures, we're halfway through the
sales year here in July. Detailsare sort of stalled at about eight and
a half percent just because you're you'rereaching that saturation point in the luxury market,
so it's not surprising that the productionhas stalled. The larger question is
(57:36):
what happens going forward. Because thegovernment is giving hundreds of millions of dollars
to these manufacturers to conflectric vehicles andthese big factories they're building in places like
Kentucky, Ohio. You know whathappens if there's no demand for the product
(57:57):
coming out of these billion dollar factsas the latest Henry Payne, and of
course we'll stay on top of thatas always. These stories not just they
don't just make headlines and the interestingthings in the news, et cetera,
but they impact you on a dailybasis and especially throughout this state, and
they'll impact this election, I thinkin a big way as well. We'll
(58:21):
continue to stay on top of itfor you. Henry Payne, Thank you,
my friend. Appreciate you taking thetime to be here with us today.
Hey, thanks, Justin, hada great day you got If you
missed any bit of this conversation, you can always get it in the podcast.
You put it up Detroit's Just TalkSuperstition nine to a M. This
show and a few other little podcaststhat we do behind the scenes as well.
(58:45):
Justin barclay dot Com, the iHeartRadioapp wherever you download your podcast,
went over and join us, downloadthat thing and give it a whone.
Checking our headlines. There's weather, traffic altogether up here. This more threats
to President Trump. We talked aboutthis earlier in the show. But not
(59:06):
only do we have the assassination thatfailed attempt on Saturday, but it turns
out we're learning more about what happenedyesterday in Milwaukee. Man with an AK
forty seven and a pistol and ascream mask arrested near the convention the RNC.
There another man shot and killed bypolice outside the arena yesterday. And
(59:28):
then we have details about an entirecountry with a plot. I think it
adds insult to injury on Temple. What happened on Saturday. We'll get in
that. All of it coming up, and more of what happened at the
RNC last night. Some of thebest speeches you'll hear it all Detroit's News
Talk Superstition nine ten am. Thedetails on threats to President Trump. Of
(59:53):
course, the details still yet aboutwhat happened on Saturday, coming out.
No, I think there is avideo and uh, maybe I could play
this here. I have you seenthis yet, But RFK had a phone
call with President Trump, and Ibelieve the details and the subject the theme
(01:00:15):
of that call the other day.I think RFK may have even been in
Milwaukee. But the details of thatcall were essentially they were they were to
try to see if he get anendorsement from RFK, get rough K to
jop out and get an endorsement forTrump. Uh. Somebody video taped the
(01:00:42):
phone call RFK on speakerphone in theroom and that got released. Now RFK
has now come out and said, well, I'm sorry this happened. I
feel mortified. I think with thewords he used, he says, I
am apologizing to the President. Therewasn't anything damaging in the video at all,
(01:01:04):
honestly, maybe nothing nothing that Isaw anyway. I just thought it
was an interesting behind the scenes lookin this phone call. But he does
share some information that you may nothave heard before about that experience, about
what he went through, and partof the story that you may not have
(01:01:25):
heard just yet, which is uh, which is it's fascinating. So we
played this earlier, but I'm gonnaI'm gonna share it again. This is
Dan Bongino sharing on the Donald TrumpJunior Show on Rumble and his podcast.
They had it was a it wasa jam packed show. A guest not
(01:01:45):
just that Donald Trump Junior was hostingthe show. Dan bon Gino, former
Secret Service and now podcaster and radiohost, and Tucker Carlson also making the
list again. They're sitting next toeach other and Dan goes through one of
the details of the stories that he'shearing from behind the scenes, breakdown of
(01:02:07):
what happened essentially on Saturday and whetherit's in competence or it was intentional,
or maybe both. What you're goingto hear is very distresses Joe and Tucker
some material from an unimpeachable source.Let's just say on the matter that post,
(01:02:28):
according to my source, that roofwas supposed to be a police post.
It was supposed to be someone there. They're now making up excuses saying
the pitch or the roof. Mysource says to me, no one knows
why the post didn't show up,but so that's a nonsense story they're putting
out in the media. And Iwas also told that the Secret Service director
has been given instructions from the administrationand the DHS secretary. If you want
(01:02:52):
to keep your job, you'll keepyour mouth shut about this. They're not
putting that out there. But ifyou get those side post logs and those
police instructions, and it was apost on this and they didn't show up
and no one checked, someone couldhave got your dad killed within millimeters.
So that's we all know that.By the way, that thing was a
miracle. That nothing happened, wellnothing beyond the the the injury to the
(01:03:15):
ear. And obviously there's there isthe unfortunate folks, the bystanders that were
injured in the man who lost hislife. The hero is shielding his his
family member, believe his daughter.So I don't I don't mean nothing,
But I'm talking about the bullets actuallymissing that the intended target to president,
(01:03:36):
and and that is it's just incredible. But what you just heard him say
is that that building that the legendthe gentleman was on, was that thing
that was supposed to be protected. Now what we've seen in the last few
days is back and forth the SecretService pointing fingers and blame at the well,
(01:04:00):
at the local comps, the localcomps, sheriffs, et cetera,
pointing fingers back at the Secret Service. The buck stops here is what the
Director's Secret Service says. But she'snot willing to actually hold herself accountable and
resign is what she should do.And now we're hearing that. Bonginos said,
like, if you continue to talkabout any of this stuff, DHS
(01:04:21):
has said they're going to fire,They're going to get rid of her.
So this, this is it's furtherconfusing and very upsetting, but it does
paint a picture of more of whathappened that day. Now here's something else
that paints a picture. These areother threats that were announced yesterday. And
(01:04:44):
in fact, I'll be honest withyou, I think this this whole thing,
I think adds insult to injury aswe see you know these threats again
they say, well, we justhad recent confirmed threats from Iran about the
safety of President Trump. You know, they have been after him for a
(01:05:08):
while now. In fact, yeah, this is this is nothing new.
They've been after him for a whilebecause of the the fact he took out
was it costam Solomoni was a guy'sname back in twenty twenty, And this
(01:05:33):
is this is that this is thatstill trying to get him if they can.
And of course they're now claiming thatthey have these credible threats just days
ago. Well, it makes iteven worse that Saturday happened at all,
because you've got a credible threat, you say, from a state sponsored terrocist
Iranian whatever it might be, thatthat they want to take Trump out.
(01:05:57):
So why in the world would theybe any hole more holes in Swiss cheese
in this thing, but why wouldthere be any holes in the security plan
to protection in detail the former presidentthe current leading candidate. Good afternoon,
I on Lindsay Riiser, thanks forjoining us here. On CBS News twenty
four to seven. CBS News haslearned US intelligence officials detected in Iranian plot
(01:06:18):
against former President Donald Trump. Twoofficials confirmed they found out about the threat
recently, and it was shared beforeTrump's rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, but
there's no information suggesting the threat wasconnected to the attended assassination over the weekend.
Some of the speculation online about thisis that, well, they're trying
(01:06:41):
to take some of the heat.I don't know how they think this is
going to happen, but they're tryingto take some of the heat off of
this and put a focus on Iran, and something else happens well, and
then we can go to war witha rod. And you know, there's
a lot of different back and forthon this. One thing I will tell
you is I think it makes iteven worse because it's even more obvious that
they should have had everything buttoned upon this whole thing, that they should
(01:07:01):
have had everything. There never shouldhave been an opportunity, period whatsoever for
any of this, But this justmakes it even worse. Let's bring in
CBS News National security contributor Samantha Vinegrad. She formerly served as the Assistant Secretary
for counter Terrorism and Threat Prevention forthe Department of Homeland Security in the Biden
administration. So Sam, what dowe know about this threat and why is
(01:07:25):
Trump a target? Well, lindsay, I am unsurprised by reporting that there
have been additional Iranian threats to misterTrump. During my time at the Department
of Homeland Security, I worked withthe US Secret Service and others to review
threats facing protectees US Secret Service protectees, and based upon mister Trump and his
(01:07:46):
Cabinet's decision to engage in the assassinationof an individual in Costom soul money who
was ahead of the Iranian Revolutionary GuardCorps, an entity that conducted terror attacks
and supported terror attacks around the world. The Iranian regime vowed to avenge that
assassination, and there have been anongoing series of threats to mister Trump and
(01:08:09):
specific members of his administration when theywere in office and since they left officely
So, I'm going to tell youagain it's nothing new. This is nothing
new. It's out there. Youneed to know about it, you should
hear about it. But there's nothingnew to this. So we've known for
(01:08:29):
quite some time they wanted to dothis. We've heard those rumors. Now
they're just linking it in and Ithink some of it to take the heat
off of what although I don't thinkI really don't think it should. Here's
more of the news and the detailsbehind the kid responsible Aaron. There's been
some developments as the investigation has progressed. You know what the what the investigators
(01:08:53):
are telling us is as far asa motive, a manifesto, the reasoning
behind this. The suspect is stilla blank. It's late, but what
they have developed is a lot ofthe background about what happened that day.
They know that he went to hisemployer at the nursing home where he works
as a dietary specialist before this andsaid, I need Saturday off. I
(01:09:14):
have something important to do. Buthe told his co workers, I'll see
you on Sunday, so he changedhis days off, presumably for this.
We also understand that when he gotto the fair grounds where this rally was
being held for Donald Trump, thefirst thing that puts him on the radar
of security people is near the magnetometerarea where they're screening people in. He's
(01:09:38):
carrying in his hand a rangefinder. It's a device that looks like a small
pair of binoculars, but it's usedby shooters to measure the distance when they're
setting up a long distance shot.Because he didn't have a weapon, that
would not have prevented him to gothrough security, but they did flag.
What does he have this in hishand for? You think they never should
(01:10:00):
have letting man, what's what's goingon? Well, yeah, yeah,
okay, you can come in,but you're gonna leave those outside. That's
what I would have said. Buthere this this kid is making his still
finds a way he makes it,and there's one moment in time where they
describe him actually meeting eyes with thecounter sniper forces that were on the roof.
(01:10:27):
One of them maybe even eventually endedup killing him. And it's it's
just more of this stuff that comesout. It's just hard to even imagine
believe that any of this again, any of this actually happened. More details
of Fritz. Yesterday, there wasa man shot and killed by police who
(01:10:48):
believe he was a homeless man inMilwaukee near the RNC event. But there
was also a man arrested near thern C with a AK forty seven a
pistol in his backpack and no concealedPermot Security Service has found a twenty one
year old armed with an AK fortyseven pistol while conducting security sweeps of the
(01:11:09):
area. It's the second security incidentin the rnc's vicinity today, as a
man was shot and killed earlier today. Officers fired their weapons when two men
were reportedly fighting and one pulled outof ninth The incident took place about two
kilometers from the convention site. Securityservices have it that's Sky News out of
Australia. In all of this againthe threat's credible or not. These are
(01:11:36):
just more pieces of the there's questionsthat are coming out. Glenn had Eric
Prince on from her Navy seal inthe Blackwater, Michigan native founder. The
conversation turned yesterday on the Glennback Programto this question, and I think some
(01:11:56):
of it was in fact the breakingnews on some of this, which with
more details about what had come out, particularly with the details of this event
Saturday and the failed assassination attempt thattook place. The counter snipers spotted the
(01:12:18):
failed Trump assassin with a range finder, watched him scope out the roof.
According to Secret Service at the time, what's his reaction to that? Let's
see, you'll get that coming uphere in just a moment, plus anything,
I try and get that audio fromPresident Trumpet a phone call from RFK
(01:12:38):
Junior if you haven't got a chanceto hear that yet more from the RNC
too coming up. We got folksfrom Michigan there reporting back and he been
speaking yesterday and on Monday as well. Some fantastic conversations had by all your
here a hold of that coming up. Troitz's talks aversation the latest from the
(01:13:00):
Midwestern Midwestern or News back after thisat nine ten a m. Linked audio.
This is it was never intended, should ever have gotten out, they
say in RFK Junior apologizing for itnow. But apparently he had a phone
(01:13:23):
call with President Trump just the otherday, and I think it was to
discuss an endorsement, and that thatRFK Jr. Would endorse President Trump,
and they had in depth conversation onthis, and somehow it had gotten it
(01:13:44):
had gotten out. And the onething that makes it particularly interesting is his
description, which he hasn't really talkedmuch about yet. I don't think we've
had any interview audio or anything likethat video of him discussing what happened the
other day. But in this you'llhear it. He's talking to r and
(01:14:05):
eventually describes Biden calling him to offerhis uh, his sympathy, and and
then he goes right into what heexperienced and I think it would be so
good for you and you, bythe way, that's the endorsement. Part.
Part of this is hard to hear. I'm just gonna tell you because
(01:14:26):
it's on a speakerphone kind of acrossthe room. Guy, and you know,
it was very nice actually, andhe said people said, you know
if I looked, he said,I said, I was just showing that
(01:14:49):
I didn't have to tell him allthe people pouring into am but uh and
something watch it sounds like like theworld's largest mesito. And it was it
was a bullet or something that wasso there. He is describing what he
(01:15:17):
felt. And I've heard him sayand that this was at least reported in
written form, that what he describedit as he felt like his ear was
on fire when when that bullet struckhis his ear. And as you know,
now he's wearing instead of the world'slargest mosquito, he's got the world's
(01:15:39):
largest bandage, the my pillow ofbandage strapped to his head. Which is
interesting because now the Left is evenlosing their mind about the bandage on his
ear. Folks, this is crazy. Some of that will uh well,
we'll have to dig into here justa little bit. Eric Princes on Glueback
program yesterday, and this is partof the conversation he caused for the head
(01:16:05):
of the Secret Service to resign.I believe she ought to as well,
for multiple failures that took place onSaturday. That never we're talking about elementary
price of injury like This is justabsolutely insane, and we have left at
two conclusions. Either it was alljust due to massive incompetence or it was
(01:16:27):
intentional, and I, for one, can't decide which one is worse.
Sue Reporting Today says that the shootinglocation was actually a police staging area and
that counter snipers were inside the building. They saw the shooter acting suspiciously,
they took a picture of him. They watched him pull out a range finder
(01:16:49):
and take measurements and then disappear.Wouldn't the correct protocol to make sure that
the president doesn't go on stage atthat point until you find that guy.
There is so many breakdowns it isit's mind boggling how badly they missed.
You know that one hundred and fortyyards from that location to the President's podium
(01:17:14):
is effectively point blank range with acar being I mean, a twelve year
old first time hunter could make thatshot. The fact that there was local
law enforce in the area and theyweren't covering is pathetic. So bad on
them, but also bad on theSecret Service to not detail one guy to
make sure that local law enforcement isdoing their job to cover that massive dead
(01:17:36):
space. If you stand at thepodium for the people that were doing the
advanced work. Before Trump arrives tostand the podium and look around, it's
pretty obvious to see that those industrialbuildings is what they call the sniper hotel,
the likely place the sniper is goingto set up shop if someone's going
to do something. And apparently theymust have sent some local law enforcement there
(01:17:59):
and they didn't even thoroughly cover orwalk around or patrol. It's it's astounding
how bad the bungling was and weliterally dodged a bullet. So it's you
know that the infinitesimal variation of aimto miss the president's head his brain matter
(01:18:24):
by two inches is the margin oferror is entirely too small, and that
must not ever happen again. Andthat's just against a twenty year old idiot
with no real professional training. Iworry that a professional that sets up at
five hundred or or longer yards witha with a bigger, proper rifle can
(01:18:49):
can also provide serious threat. Thefact that the Secret Service snipers, counors
snipers were apparently looking at the guyfor or up to a minute, and
no action was taken, even toinclude not even getting Trump behind cover to
at least the threat is it doesnot have to be neutralized, but at
(01:19:10):
least interdicted so that he can't hurtanybody. To even have one of those
cops go up the ladder, ormultiple cops go up the ladder and stops,
it's astounding. I hope there isa proper external investigation. We know
the federal government is incapable of actuallypolicing itself and of doing an objective,
fact based, non political, nonass covering investigation. So there has to
(01:19:35):
be some internal external look at this, because unfortunately, I've lost confidence in
the federal agencies, and I thinkyou have too. He calls for her
to dine. I think mayorcis alsoought to result. I think he's guilty
of of treason. The border.Obviously we're in. You know, there's
(01:19:57):
nothing new here, but ever, every single if you go back to the
beginning of Biden's administration, you goback to Afghanistan, that the botched pull
out there was so bad and Americanshad no idea what there was in store
for them, But it was thatit was the event that gave us the
(01:20:18):
writing on the wall. I rememberlooking at that saying to myself, this
is just absolutely. It's either intentionalor it's incompetence, which one I'm not
sure. But here we go again. And folks, that's the theme for
this administration. They all ought togo and November maybe they will if you
and everyone else gets out and votes. And people that don't. There are
(01:20:41):
lots of people that don't that oughtto. People in churches, hunters,
people that obviously would vote conservative andthey would vote for Trump if if they
just would vote. Folks, thereis no way around this. The most
critical, most consequential election of ourlifetime, maybe the history of the next
(01:21:02):
don am as a skitizen, asa husband, as a father, I
am alarmed that the current president ofthe United States lacks the capability to discharge
the duties of his Gothic our enemiesdo not confine their designs to between ten
(01:21:28):
am and four pm. We needwe need a commander in chief who can
lead twenty four hours a day andseven days a week. America cannot afford
four more years of a weekend atBernie the presidency. Oh Ron the SENUS
(01:21:51):
governor of the Free State of Florida, nailing it last night there and amongst
others, some really good moment it'suh so far in this in this convention,
and it's fantastic stuff. There wasone moment trying to get zamos from
the place posted this before President Trumpcame out last night was the minute of
(01:22:12):
him dancing, which you know, look the first night kind of somber when
he came into the into the room. But I just don't think that's his
personality anyway. I think I thinkthis a little more fun probably fits him
(01:22:36):
best. The video you gotta see, we'll put it up on a stack
today justin Barkley dot com where wepost all the things we're talking about.
It's when it was a podcast andeverything else. You could see it online.
We're streaming it now Facebook, Twitter, x rumble Getter the behind the
scenes live stream. I know hemust have been there dancing along as well,
(01:23:03):
joining us Oakland County Chair of theGOP. There is vance Patrick.
We didn't get JD. Vans, but we got the next best thing,
which is probably my favorite, vancevance Patrick joining us right now. He
is there at the RNC in attendanceand uh, what about it? What's
(01:23:24):
the biggest moment so far for you? Everything that's happened. One of the
most historic. I think maybe ofall time we will look back, but
this not just not just the convention, but this moment in time. What
was the biggest thing that stands outthe most for you? Vance welcome in,
good morning, justin Well, I'lltell you what. It's the party
(01:23:45):
unity, love and the unity inthe building is unbelievable. You know,
you're you're bumping into people from Texasand we're collecting business cards and just unifying
the entire country is what seems tobe happening this weekend or this week.
What was that moment like when thePresident came out for the first time the
(01:24:08):
other night and you could tell hewas emotional. I'm sure people in a
room where I know people watching ithomework, it was. It was obviously
very emotional because it is the firsttime that we all have had a chance
to see him again. The peoplein the room were just so excited to
see him here. It was asurprise that he showed up on the first
(01:24:30):
day. But yesterday you saw thetotal difference in the in the in the
room and his attitude. He isuh with what happened behind him on Saturday,
and he's ready to get to workagain. And I saw video actually
from behind the scenes where I thinkit was Don Junior that had uh captured
it with him and then Jade Vansand whatnot, but it's probably before they
(01:24:55):
came out the other night, andit's it showed still sort of his a
jovial, sort of positive mood isas always. And this is a guy
who normally I think doesn't take alot of time to wallow or take a
lot of time at all to bedown at all. He is back in
(01:25:16):
him and he got up just momentsafter being shot and stuck his fist up
in the air in defiance and saidfight, fight, fight. Now that's
become a rallying right there at theconvention too, it has been. And
again justin talking about getting up,he made his tea time the next day
on Sunday after the shooting. Sothat's the kind of president that we're rooting
(01:25:36):
for here at the convention. SarahHuckabee Sanders another one last night that made
news. I'm going to be ableto play all of it, but I'm
gonna play part of it here, and these little digs are some of my
favorites. With what she had tosay about Biden, she chants to take
my four year old son, Huckto bring your kid to work day,
(01:25:58):
much like Jill now drags Joe tobring your husband to work. Oh man,
So speakers, so far, therehave been so many good ones who
stood out the most. And ofcourse tonight you've got jd Vance, the
vice presidential nominee who will be hisrunning mate, President Trump's running mate this
(01:26:21):
time around, on this powerful ticket, expected to speak tonight, highly anticipated.
So who's been your top so farwhen it comes to speakers, Well,
i'll tell you justin they've all beenelectric. But you know when the
head of the Teamsters drops in andyeah, practically gives us the endorsement,
(01:26:44):
it was unbelievable. He said,I think it's been one hundred and forty
years since as president has ever beento the well, actually I think he
said he's never been. No teamChers president has ever been to a Republican
convention. So it just goes toshow you how powerful this president is going
to be. You want to talkabout uniting the country, I think that
(01:27:08):
this guy is getting everybody together. He really is, more so than unfortunately
the last president that said he wasgoing to do it, and I think
the country is much more divided nowthan it was when he took office.
It's Patrick chaired the GOP there inOakland County, and of course they're in
(01:27:30):
the RNC in Wisconsin talking about someof the things they're saying they're witnessing.
In the Loalga. What a guyask you about security, because I know
it's very secure there, but justyesterday we had a man shot and killed
apparently he was fighting with another andthere was a knife pool police shot that
man seemed to be a homeless man. Outside the arena. There's a man
with an AK forty seven and apistol and a screen mask arrested near the
(01:27:51):
convention as well. All of thesethings is a security certainly heightened. We
know we've seen it beefed up,just in the folks who were a secret
service, the detail that was surroundingPresident Trumpliny came out the first night.
We saw a difference, a majordifference between who was with him on Saturday.
What's your experience been like with thesecurity there and some of the things
(01:28:12):
you've noticed justin That's interesting because weMi GOP, the Michigan delegation has three
of our own buses and then weor we can take the National GOP buses.
So the National buses drop us offat the front door. The Michigan
buses drop us off a couple ofblocks away, and then we can walk
in, but we're walked in withsecurity. So there it's kind of like
(01:28:38):
an arm guard walking all of usin if we choose to take the Mi
GOP bus. When I took theNational GOP bus yesterday and the excoose me
the the amount of security. Theexit to get off to the convention at
the expressway is blocked by a carthat needs to be pushed. So when
(01:29:00):
they see the bus coming, theSecret Service guy that's next to sitting in
the front seat of the bus,he waves to the car. They pull
away. Then we go through anothercheckpoint and another checkpoint. These are driving
checkpoints, but they're acknowledging the SecretService guy that's in the front of the
front of the bus. And thenwe go through a couple of those barricades
(01:29:23):
where they literally lower a drawbridge andthen you drive over it, and then
you get into the gated area. And then we still have to go through
the magnetrometers and we still have tobe searched to get into the venue.
But I'll tell you about the perimeterthat's around the kind of like what we
had at at the Draft. Therethere's a large area cord doff, So
(01:29:45):
there's bars and restaurants that are onthe inside of the fence, and then
there's a lot of stuff that's onthe outside of the fence. We have
not seen anything that would alarm us. There's helicopters flying overhead, there's drones
flying over ahead. I think thisis probably the safest place in America right
now. Oh, I could imagine, especially after what happened on Saturday.
(01:30:09):
The crackdown has been has been prettynoticeable. So all of this happening and
obviously Michigan playing such a huge rolein it this time around, in this
election being as big as it is, and you know, President Trump,
this is this is wild. Butwe got the news yesterday that he is
(01:30:32):
going to be returning to Michigan, the first rally since the one on last
Saturday where he was the failed assassinationattempt took place and he was shot in
the ear there. The first rallyback at it is going to happen in
Michigan. In fact, it'll happenin Grand Rapids the west side of the
(01:30:53):
state. He's back at it,not just President Trump, but JD.
Vance's vice presidential running Meg will joinhim as well. He's back out of
the Michigan And I think that again, maybe you could speak on this,
but what does that go a showabout the really the the importance of this
state in this election and how howmuch of an impact and role it plays.
(01:31:18):
Well, you know, again, the whole delegation that is excited that
President Trump is coming back to Michigan, and you know, justin the surrogates
that have been filtering through Michigan thewhole time, just shows how important Michigan
is. He's not sitting back thinkingthat he's got this race just because the
(01:31:39):
polls show he's up. He's goingto work just as hard as he was
before the assassination attempting factor. Ithink he's doubled down. I think that
it just shows how hard of aworking guy this is and he is.
He's not going to leave any stoneunturned. He's definitely going to be here
for us. So we need tosupport him to get him over the finish
(01:32:00):
line. Yeah, well, nodoubt about it. The most and important,
the most critical election of our lifetime, maybe even the history of the
country. As a president has madethat point before, and that was before
everything had happened that we've seen happenin the last few days. I think
that just underscores it even more so. On You're right, he's back at
it. He's back with a wella fight that I don't think we've ever
(01:32:24):
seen before in a candidate, andboy, it is going to be one
to watch because it's not just thiselection for president top of the ticket.
You've got it going all the waydown Senate, Congress, even in the
state chance to take back the Househere in Lansing. We've got county wide
the elections that are also important aswell the local side. So there's so
(01:32:46):
many pieces of this that we'll keepour eye on and continue to update and
monitor. But folks are definitely aboy, I'll tell you, they're more
engaged than ever before and they're inthe fight vance. I appreciate you taking
the time check in with us fromMilwaukee, the rn C, the updates,
and always a pleasure to make sureyou keep me posted if there's anything
we need to know about. Well, justin real quick, I just want
(01:33:10):
to let you know Oakland County isbeing engaged with the public. We were
in three parades for fourth of July. We're going to be at the Armenian
Fest in roy Loch on Saturday, and we're also going to be at the
Farmington Founders Festival this weekend as well. So look for us. The Oakland
County Republican Party is doing our outreach. Come on in the water's great.
(01:33:30):
I love that Van's Patrick. Alwaysa good time and of course always a
great opportunity to have the conversations aboutwhat's going on and things happening throughout obviously,
and taking a show on a roadthere in Milwaukee as well at the
r n C. Appreciate you,my friend, Thank you brother, you
(01:33:51):
got it. I wonder if weget some dancing on Thursday when President Trump's
days. It's a good thing theyget a little dancing. You gotta love
(01:34:17):
it. Conversation continues, it rollson. By the way, we haven't
even had a chance. There's somuch. Barely get to scratch the surface
on some of this stuff, butwe'll get into it. Coming up.
What Biden wants to do, hislatest proposal for the Supreme Court and war
the insanity from the left never stops. We'll cover it next back after this
(01:34:41):
Detroit's news Talk superstation nine ten am. They're back at it after two days
ago, saying over the temperature here, they are back at it, in
fact, all over the medi tothat. But not only not only that,
they are Biden proposed it some crazythings, and I think they're they're
(01:35:06):
trying to get his by the way, I think they're going to only get
crazier as time is not going Theygot try and excite and fire up their
base on some of these things.Biden sent to announce support for major Supreme
Court changes, term limits, constitutionalamendments. They say it will never happen,
(01:35:27):
but they want it done. Bidennine big changes for the Supreme Court.
He needs Congress to make them. It's never going to happen, but
that doesn't matter because he can talkabout it all he wants. Now,
here's here's how it could happen.I n PRS is never gonna happen,
but I'm going to tell you here'show it could happen. First, the
(01:35:48):
m PR piece, Bredent Biden preparingto call, excuse me, this is
this is in PR. So Igotta do it a little bit. President
Biden preparing to call for urnaments andenforceable ethics called for US Supreme Court justices
and what it could be sweeping changesto the High Court and the way it
operates. It's enough to sleep, isn't it. That's usually how they do
(01:36:13):
it. Biden buried the call forterm limits and an enforceable ethics CUD for
US Supreme Court justices. And whatwould be sweeping changes to the High Court.
Well, they'd have to change theconstitution to do that. Do you
see that happening anytime soon? Andthen who would oversee whether what they had
done or not was constitutional? Well, proposals are a long shot because a
(01:36:35):
constitutional amendment or congressional action to rootsthat would likely have to take place are
next to impossible in the current politicalclimate. But the plans themselves Marcus c
change for Biden, who had previouslyresisted any changes to the court, Well,
he's got no choice now because he'slosing. He's losing big lee,
(01:36:56):
big lee, and so he's gotto do some of the stuff to get
base fired up. Proposals first reportedby The Washington Post, confirmed by two
sources who spoke on condition of anonymitybecause Biden's plans are not yet final.
One source said they may not berolled out for a couple of weeks.
Keep an eye on this. Andby the way, this is the test
(01:37:17):
balloon to see how well it pullswith you and everyone else. And again,
he's not making any of the decisions, so this is not you know,
none of this is none of thisis left on him. The idea
is welcome by the ethics watchdogs. The vast majority of the country. They
say, quote regardless of party, will leave that justices should not serve for
(01:37:41):
life, but they should be subjectto basic oversight like Congress and the executives
are Gay Roth director Will Fixed theCourts, a group that advocates to support
court reform. So the people thatare in the tank on this say that
the vast majority of the country feelsthis. No, no, no,
I don't care what they feel likeeither way, it doesn't matter. I
don't believe they do, and they'llsend number to It does not matter what
(01:38:03):
people feel like. The Constitution waswritten and for a reason now I do
like term limits for elected officials theSupreme Court, I don't because I think
that makes things to volatile. Idon't know if you had to say they
(01:38:34):
got to serve a certain amount ofyears, or if you say you cut
them off at a certain age.I just I think what we have works
and it doesn't always work the wayyou want it to, but it does
work. And I think changing thisprocess only works out and I'll tell you
(01:38:58):
it only benefits the progress of liberalsort of extreme radical viewpoint that they just
want to change everything, can blowit up. The same idea that you
pack the court, you add morejustices in to get they what I really
want to rig it so they getthe results they want. It's the only
thing right now holding a lot ofthis stuff back is Supreme Court. Right,
(01:39:19):
So now you see why they wantto do it. How they might
do it is if they took controlfully of Congress. If this election swings
in some weird way, and I'mnot Look, I think it's you know,
everybody's talking about how big Trump isup, and that's one thing.
But look, he's got to play, and I think he gets this,
(01:39:41):
and the whole team has to playlike they're down. And that means you
and I we ought to vote,we ought to engage like we're down,
because in fact we you'd ever knowwe could be only one poll that matters.
That's the one that's after. That'sthe actual one election. No,
I'm gonna say election day, butthere is no thing is elusive thing is
(01:40:03):
election day now. And of courseyou know Democrats keep counting mail and ballots
until they get the results. Sayone anyway, So that's that's that's what
I mean. There is a possibilitythis happens. And how does it happen,
Well, Biden is re elected,if they win the House, take
(01:40:24):
control back over the House, andthen they control the Senate, they could
they could do this. Biden's beenpressed on this issue by progressives. With
four months left to do the presidentialelection, Biden in a statistical dead heat.
They say, well, trying toappeal to his party's left flank.
(01:40:45):
That means the most progressive, themost liberal, leftist, radical extreme version
of the party. That's what healways finds himself doing. So so there
you go, that's that's how theywould get a done. Any warning to
you, because they all this Rowversus Way abortion stuff and everything else,
(01:41:06):
they really want more than anything elseto weaponize a court in a way they've
yet to be able to actually doso far. So just a warning.
This is part of what's going tobe talked about today. Anny, you'll
be paying attention to some of thesestories. There's a lot going on,
particularly the rn C, happening todayand more. We'll make sure we stay
on top of it. Check outour headlines. Here's weather, traffic,
(01:41:29):
Bottle the Hour all together coming outnext after this Detroit's News Talk Superstation nine
ten am. A powerful speech thatyou haven't heard yet, but I guarantee
you you will before it. Zell'send none with from this mother who lost
her son last night at the rnC, underscoring the need to make America
safe again. We'll talk about itcoming up after this. Kiel going to
(01:41:53):
hear it on the Troits News Talksuperstation nine ten am. Read Tonight the
r n C and Jady Vince vicepresidential nominee, the candidate, the running
mate along with President Trump. Bythe way, they'll both be in Michigan,
UH, coming up Saturday, soif if you'd like to be there,
(01:42:17):
they've got tickets and of course youcan r s v P. I'll
make sure we get that link putup as well. In the stack today
at justin Barklay dot com. It'sover on Twitter and some of the other
social media sites as well, Soif you want to grab them you can
and uh, you know, justthey're free. People ask how much are
these know they're free? You've neverbeen to a rally before. That's that's
(01:42:39):
that's, that's it. They're free. They don't have to do anything to
to attend. Just make sure thatyou are SVP or from my Son R
and C. Yesterday, Korea andAfghanistan will retired veterans Madeline Brain. She
(01:43:00):
is she's someone who lost her sondue to violent crime, and of course
she's speaking out about it. Atthe received enemy fire from the Taliban,
only to be murdered with a knifeon the streets of New York City.
The fall assailants responsible for his deathinitially were facing justice, but that changed
(01:43:26):
when District Attorney Alvin Bragg was elected. Suddenly, two of the homicidal maniacs
responsible for my son's death had theirgang assault and murder charges completely dismissed.
(01:43:58):
One of them received fourteen months timeserved, Alvin Bragg charged her with assault
with a shoe, and another onewas sentenced to seven years. I later
learned that Alvin Bragg often dismisses andreduces dangerous criminals. He wants to clear
(01:44:23):
the jails and return job violent elementsonto our streets. Every day, the
injustice was devastating for me and myfamily. I don't want anyone else to
experience the senseless pain that many othervictims across this United States of America have
(01:44:44):
to live with every day. SoI decided to use the voice that God
gave me to be the voice forthe voiceless across America. We need justice
(01:45:05):
for victims, and we need accountabilityfor prosecutors who fail in their duty solved.
The prime prosecutors like Alvin Bragg inNew York, Kimp Box and Chicago,
and George Gascone in Los Angeles haveturned out of great country and cities
(01:45:32):
into war zones. Poor and neglectedcommunities like mine are suffering. And who
else in here is sick and Talianof being sick and tigan the Democratic Party
(01:45:58):
that poor minorities have been loyalty fordecades, including myself, all right,
they portrayed us. They stabbed usin the back. Joe Biden and Kamala
Harris, who claimed to represent us, have abandoned us. They neglected the
(01:46:21):
poor minority communities across America. Butmine eyes have been opened, just like
(01:46:41):
just like so many other poor minoritiesacross the America. Donald Trump shares our
values, love of God and familyand country. He's been a victim of
the same corrupt system that I havebeen in my family has been. He
(01:47:09):
is committed to providing economic opportunities, helping those suffering from addition with long time
and patient drug programs, rolling backdeadly down before our policies that are getting
our chosen killed every single day,and supporting our police. We back the
(01:47:40):
NYPD, We backed the Blue.Incredible, that's the blue and why he
(01:48:04):
d blacked the blue. Trump wasright when he said thereafter us. He's
just standing in the way, andguess what he always will. That's why
(01:48:30):
I'm standing with him today. Let'smake America safe again and reel our Donald
J. Trump powerful. Thank youMadeline Bray, that's the mother of the
(01:49:00):
a man that we was explained bycriminals. By the way she wearing the
wearing the dog tags, wearing thedog tags during that speech, fantastic.
She Uh, I just nails it. If you miss it, you want
to get it, maybe you justcaught part of it. You can get
it online. We'll make sure youget it in the stack at Justin barclay
(01:49:24):
dot com. These are the folksagain that are out there saying we're gonna
cool the temperature down? What aboutthe folks on CNN listen to Ari Melbourn.
And yet this was also showmanship bya politician known for his mastery of
what they call unscripted reality TV,taking this supremely visible seat in the VIP
(01:49:47):
box with his new running mate andparty leaders and a longtime TV personality Tucker
Carlson up there as well. Lastnight, same people telling you gotta bring
that, we gotta bring the temperaturedown now calling it the question the bandage
on President Trump's ear? What's CNN, the New York Times is saying about
it? It's well, it's thesame as the folks I played for yesterday.
(01:50:15):
Don't believe that any of this actuallyhappened. They fit the whole thing
stage it was. It might havebeen not the way they're talking, but
some of the latest details make usreally question some of the story that continues
to come out. We'll have thelatest on that and more coming out after
this Detroit's News Talk Superstation nine tenam and I'm data on details coming out
(01:50:48):
of a Saturday's Bazaar failed assassination tip. There's more and more of these things
that just inconsistencies don't add up.And this is from Fox News reporting the
other day. You're first find acolectic McAdams to have an exclusive interview with
the neighbor who shot this video ofa suspicious van being towed away from the
(01:51:08):
scene last night. Alexis, Hey, Martha, Sorry, I didn't know
if you were asking to me justI couldn't tell yet, But okay,
I'm gonna, yeah, talk tohim right now. I'm gonna bring him
in. This is Billy Toma,Martha, who we've been talking to.
We actually met him out there atthe scene yesterday. He lives right near
where this all happened at that rally, and you also recorded some videos.
(01:51:30):
We see now this suspects van wasparked right in your street and they all
kind of had it closed off,Martha because they didn't want people from the
rally to park on your street. So then you knew this guy's car wasn't
supposed to be there. Walk methrough what you saw. So I came
home a little bit before five, saw a park there didn't really think too
much of it. It was theonly spot in the whole yard or the
whole road that wasn't blocked off.So later on in the night everything happened,
(01:51:55):
and we got home and we weresitting there and saw corps all lie
on the street. So whenever welooked out, we walked outside and saw
them opening up his vehicle and everything. When the cop opened it, everybody
else jumped back and was trying tostay out of the way. Here.
I am worried about it blown upor whatever's going on. So I mean
(01:52:16):
to find out that this happens whenthe former president gets shot nearly right in
the head, almost assassinated, acrossthe street from your house, and then
to find out that the gunman's carwas possibly parked right in front of your
house. How many cops are wetalking about that were out there surrounding this
van? And was there a licenseplate on the back of that van.
There's probably five to ten cars outthere, and there was an Arizona plate
(01:52:38):
on the van. To what you'renot hearing and what needs to be said
in the interview here is that thealleged perpetrator here didn't own a white van.
With Arizona plates. He drove aSonata and apparently in the stories that
(01:53:06):
we've heard, according to what wasput out by CNN as well, he
drove his Sonata to the the rallythat day. Why is this important because
we also have question about how didthat ladder get there? This is this
is a ladder that was propped upon the building that apparently he used.
Now we've got secret Service seeing himin the viewfinder. We've got that he'd
(01:53:30):
been I guess like thirty minutes before. Actually, probably even prior to that,
people knew who he was there becausehe tried to bring these this range
finder which tells you how far youare from a target. Hunters will use
them, et cetera. I guessin the situation like this you would use
(01:53:53):
them as well snipers. But hetried to bring that into the event and
got caught wasing with the backpack lateron that day, and it subsequently somehow
ends up on top of that roof. Carol on the chat asking I heard
the ladder was a fixed to thebuilding. Does it look like it we're
(01:54:14):
showing it now. It looks likea standard ladder you'd buy at the hardware
store. Fiberglass, aluminum steps. This is not a ladder that's attached to
the building. Most of the timesladders aren't attached to buildings. If they
are, you have to have specialaccess because they don't just for insurance reason,
want people on top of their buildings. How did this ladder get to
(01:54:39):
where it is? It didn't comein as Hyundai Sonata, I'll tell you
that much. That's a whole notherquestion. It's being asked. So where
what about this van? And uhwhose van was that? And there was
probably fifteen cops all together, alloutside of the van. And then,
(01:55:00):
like I said, whenever the oneopened up the door, the rest of
them all jump back trying to stayout of the way. Did the police
talk to you at all? Iknow you were out there with your son.
Were you guys worried for your safety? We weren't, not worried,
but yeah, we didn't talk toany cops or anything. They waved a
lot, but that was about it. So okay, well, thanks for
talking to us. So that's justkind of some of the witnesses mark out
(01:55:21):
here, but we want to getto some of the video and some of
the lives. So there you haveit. There's another piece that again is
raising question. I'm gonna tell youagain, this is another one of these
situations where the more you learn, the more questions you end up having.
(01:55:41):
It really is, it's another oneof scenarios. I just I don't have
answers. But again, you lookat the picture of this ladder up against
this building, and we're told alsosomething that I heard. The accuracy about
some of these details you have togo back and really dig into, but
we're told that this this ladder waspurchased at a hardware store and there's a
(01:56:04):
receipt for it somewhere. Well, how did he get it there? I
mean, all of these questions theydeserve, they deserve answers. I don't
know that we'll get them essentially forand for all of them, but we'll
we'll make sure that we stay ontop of it for you as as as
(01:56:26):
much as we can. Another strangemoment at the r n C, but
it's one worth at least laughing aboutand discussing. Happened when CNN was doing
some reporting right in front of thestage. Some man walked up in a
shirt had to be a delegate orsomebody walked up in a shirt. He
had it underneath his button up andmakes a scene behind her. Somebody added
(01:56:49):
to the sub made it with theJaws theme. Hilarious. You can see
riding on the back right there onthe on his shirt. You can see
the riding there as he was boksaround the writing in recent days and weeks.
Who had no idea? Now onething, where is the Jeffrey Epstein
(01:57:09):
client list? And they zoomed,They zoomed into it as this supporters doing
her story live on live on CNN. All right, that's that's worth to
laugh. Another one true grift.Dretch's book got buried. I don't know
(01:57:34):
if you've heard the story on this, but Gretchen Whitmer's book has failed to
crack the New York Times bestseller listafter all of that media they gave her.
We're gonna talking about this later,I think in the days they had
been after all of that in media, the push, she was on every
talk show, she was on allthe media outlets, and she still finds
(01:57:56):
herself irrelevant on the national stage. It really is something. And I did
you talking about plans for twenty fourto twenty eight whatever it might be for
the future and beyond her future isnot looking as bright as the pink jacket
(01:58:17):
she wore an outfit dress and whatnotdid the other day. It's not quite
as as bright. I can tellyou that much. One other story or
two here we get to you beforethe Glennen Bank program coming up nine to
noon today. See, someone wasinterviewed. I say someone, because I'm
(01:58:39):
convinced this is a man who's dressedlike a woman. But I can't tell
you that for a fact. I'mjust listening to the voice. And what's
interesting about the interview is this personis asked outside of the RNC event.
I believe there's a protest happening.The person says, it's a shame that
to shoot her missed. In thevery next breath, I'm afraid. I'm
(01:59:01):
scared of political violence. You guysare out here on the heels of the
attempted Trump assassination. Can I getyour reaction to what happened the other day?
Well, it's a shame the personmissed. But what it's ironic that
the shooter was also a Republican. That's not true. Registered as a Republican,
(01:59:25):
probably the vote in the open primaryagainst the president. But he was
twenty so well, not a lotof voting happening. Not a Republican and
I am scared about political violence. You're scared. This individual is wearing some
sort of black clothing outfit. Theyhave a rainbow mask on a mask outside
twenty twenty four of political violence. But you you were hoping that he wouldn't
(01:59:48):
have missed. Yes, wow, could you elaborate on that. I mean,
many people are thankful that the shootermissed and could have led to a
lot of conflict in the country wordless. If Trump is in power or not,
he has a lot of influence andthat makes him a very dangerous person.
This is just it's just wild towatch wrap your head around. This
(02:00:12):
is the same people, by theway, that are probably saying it was
faked, same sort of thought process. It's just some of this is,
Jeff, you can't make You're gonnatry and make sense of it, but
I'm telling you can't. It's it'sinsanity. It is mental illness. You
can't. You cannot make sense ofa lot of that. All right,
(02:00:33):
folks, that's it for today.Glen Back program coming out next. We'll
be back here tomorrow with you withthe latest and greatest moving swiftly into the
weekend, Trump and Vance headed hereto Michigan on Saturday. We'll have more
about that too tomorrow as well.Back at it, make it a great
(02:00:55):
