Speaker 1 (00:01):
Bye from higher Top Monroe Center in downtown Grand Rapids.
We're talking about what matters most to you in West Michigan.
Joining a conversation now at six one six seven seven
four twenty four twenty four. At six one six seven
seven four twenty four twenty four, it's West Michigan Live
with Justin Barklay on Wood Radio Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Welcome in.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
What a beautiful day. It's shaping up to be absolutely gorgeous,
and I gotta tell you it's wild to watch some
of the stories coming out yes, coming out this weekend.
Uh and we'll bring you up the speed on them
(00:49):
all so you're in the right place. Don't protest. If
we get the stories you will not want to miss.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Starting out us weather and traffic. I'm a big stories
of the day. We are talking about what matters most
in West Michigan and beyond.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
This is the Big three.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Now say speak.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Three yeh the stories that matter most. Like I said,
you'll be talking about these around a water pool or
the dinner table, no matter where you are. All powered
by our good friends at Heartland Home Mortgage. Dave Gallaway
of the team, ready to help you whether you want
to buy or REFI home equity, line of credit. No
matter what it is. Dave and the team ready to
(01:34):
help you. Let's get it done. By the way, somebody
that have done this, just like me, have saved thousands
each and every time. It is fantastic. Number one hhimlinding
dot Com. Hunting stand will siteline the Trump's Air Force
(01:55):
one exit area was found at the airport, according to
the FBI investigation. Hearing the story this morning all over
the news, well it's a big one. Is the reason
why we ought to be aware of things like this.
You know, you would think things are going well, you
think everything is safe, you think nothing to see here,
(02:20):
But at the end of the day you realize really
that you have to stay vigilant. It's a day and
age where some of this just can't be helped, and
folks they have to constantly stay up on this. Here
are the details that we know. A suspicious elevated hunting
stand with direct line of site should never have been
(02:40):
there by the there's no hunting here. I don't know
if you've ever been there, but there's no hunting there,
no area to hunt that near marl Lago, A direct
line of site to Air Force one's exit zone at
Palm Beach International Airport triggered a full scale federal probe,
the FBI announcing it's leading the investigation. That the Secret
Service discover the structure during the security sweep ahead of
(03:02):
the president's arrival. No individuals or ammunitions were found at
the scene, and we'll continue to update you as we
hear more this morning. Yeah, the story is you won't
hear anywhere else. Something's not adding up well, at least
not the No King's protest numbers. The numbers just don't
(03:25):
match the high organizers claiming massive nationwide turnout, but on
the ground reports and footage telling a very different story.
Scattered crowds, not sea sized movements. Even local police say
attendance was far lower than advertised. It's another reminder narrative
just isn't always reality, folks. And even with the media megaphone,
(03:47):
they can make that whisper sound like a roar sometimes,
although they do their best to mislead. One of the
best cases, and I've got more on this here in
a second, because I get a few things I want
to update you from that home and over the weekend.
But one of the best cases of the wild you know,
crazy reports is MSDNC thirteen caught sharing footage of a
(04:09):
twenty seventeen rally.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Look at this, millions of people across the country marching.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
As we speak, against the policies of President Trump. Not
the one this weekend.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
This is Boston.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Look at that. We'll continue to follow these rallies for
up the day. Here it was Boston, but it was
twenty seventeen. In fact, they got fact checked, caught by
AI apparently and others, Wikipedia, Reuters USA today even jump
again on the fund there with the community NOE on X,
(04:42):
which I thought was kind of interesting. Well, the seafire
is still on for now, at least after deadly air
strikes and accusations of truth violations on both sides. Israeli
officials say the military resuming enforcement of the agreement while
aide shipments slowly restart. President Trump insisting the ceasefire remains attacked.
(05:03):
Don't many worn. It's hanging by a thread, a tense
pause in conflict that could erupt again at any moment.
We'll give you the rest coming out in just moments. Folks.
You want to join the program at all today, you can.
Here's the number to get in and join the action
(05:25):
six one, six, seven, seven four, twenty four to twenty four.
You can also get in on the VIP if you
want with the MKD Funeral Homes talkback feature. The iHeartRadio
app very simple to you. You just click that button
and get going. It's just that simple. Anyway, we got
(05:48):
so much going on today. Like I said, there's there's
a few things that probably I can tell you about
that are yeah, this is this is this is housekeeping,
but it is sort of a big story nevertheless, And
and Adam was just telling me there's a lot of
different a lot of different folks affected this morning by this.
(06:10):
And we'll put it this way. Apparently there's an Amazon
Services outage. And I don't know how to explain this
other than to tell you there's a there's a there's
a part of Amazon not where you like the like
get your packages and let your kids open your Christmas
presents at them, apparently, but there's a part that does
(06:34):
a lot of behind the scenes and and for the
military and data and all kinds of different It's it's
kind of spooky when you think about it, but they
do a lot of Yeah, they do a lot of
stuff like that, and which it's wild, but it's all
shut down this morning, so I don't I don't.
Speaker 5 (06:55):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
I think some of it has some of it's been
brought back. We'll have to we'll have to wait to
see how that all. Now, that all kind of transpires.
But the streaming, So the reason I'm bringing it up,
and this is pretty simple, but this the reason. Our
streaming software, what we use to stream this this this
(07:24):
program to you on a daily basis, the streaming software
is down, so we can't actually stream the video to
folks the way we normally do or would like to
do it. Instead, what we do, what we're doing today
is kind of streaming it to a couple of different places.
(07:47):
So hopefully hopefully some folks are able to watch it,
but I can't if you're trying to figure out where
you are, like why is this not on? There's a
couple of places that we just can't get it up
for whatever reason. So in the meantime, thank you for
your patients, because this is just one of those stupid things.
(08:07):
But I want to tell you and we'll have to
talk about it tomorrow and bring Trent on during tech talk,
because this isn't just an inconvenience for me or you
or whatever app or system you might be using at
the moment. A lot of times stuff like this can
happen and does that probably because of hacking, and it's
(08:35):
all kinds of things that they want to get their
fingers into. So just just note that. And and again,
like I said, we'll dig into that tomorrow. But anyway
I want, there's so many other stories we don't have.
We could do it. We could do it a three
full three hour show every day and still not have
(08:57):
enough enough time to dig into it. Let's go back
to know King's Day, because that's the talk of the weekend.
First of all, wasn't what they said it would be.
They predicted seven million people. I think they may have
just it's hard to know really, but they may have
gotten five. I will say this, it's a lot of people.
(09:23):
But there's some flaws in the gaps on all this
and the things that you're not hearing. Probably the most
critical pieces of this is this was a highly planned,
highly promoted moment, and it was took lots of organization.
(09:45):
None of this happens just by circumstance. Okay, this was
not organic. The organization was paid for a lot of
it by folks who brought this thing together. It's supposed
to look organic, and yet I don't even think they
pulled that off. But these folks are really not even
(10:08):
united in what they're protesting, although there are a few
that have a couple of things in common. Number one
things they don't like Trump. For whatever reason, they don't
like Trump. They just don't like him. It's not even
policy as much as it is personality, and they've been
told not to like him. Here's what Trump had to
(10:30):
say about it all that weekend, the New King's brignesses.
Speaker 5 (10:34):
I think it's a joke. I looked at the people.
They're not representative of this country. And I looked at
all the brand new science paid for. I guess it
was made for by Soros and other radical left lunatics.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
There it looks like it was.
Speaker 5 (10:46):
We're checking it out. The demonstrations were very small, very ineffective,
and the people who are whacked out. When you look
at those people, those are not representative of the people
of our country.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Francisco, I'm not a king.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
I'm not a king. I work my ass off to
make our country great, that's all it is.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
I'm not a king at all. You know, it's interesting
to the point, and I made this. We made this
the first time around, and we made it again recently.
But it's worth repeating. This whole thing is so ridiculous
because and this is the biggest piece, is that if
there were a king, you wouldn't be able to do
any of this stuff. If he were a king, or
(11:27):
he was acting like he was a king, you wouldn't
be able to do any of this. In fact, I've
got the proof. And Scott Adam, says Scott Adam one
of the funniest cartoons, but also just a guy who
makes a lot of sense online. He's the Dilbert guy,
and he brings I think a lot of this absurdity
(11:48):
into the light. We got a touch on that, and
we will coming up here in just a little bit.
But also it was they say, mostly peaceful. As I said,
for the most part, mostly but there were some moments
that got a little bit funky. There were some moments
(12:10):
that got a little bit out of hand and some
of the protesters. In fact, there's a woman who was
caught in Chicago. Turns out she's a school teacher, a
woman in Chicago who and this is really sad, but
was kind of mocking the death of Charlie Kirk. At
one point, you'll hear that. We'll get into some of
(12:33):
the other highlights and maybe even low lights as you
could call them, from this weekend's protest. Plus we got
more news. We gotta get to it. Kyle Olsener, good
friend joins us this morning as well, from the Midwestern
to the Midwestern or News. You'll get updates from him
(12:54):
and updates from the Midwestern or after this, Oh go anywhere.
We are a lot ten. This is West Michigan Live.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
FYI Like literally, it's West Michigan Live with Justin Barclay
on News Radio Wound thirteen hundred and one oh six
nine FM.
Speaker 6 (14:21):
Here are your headlines from the Midwestern Or this Monday,
October twentieth. I'm Robin Hoffman. We begin with a Midwesterner
Dot News original story. Governor Whitmer resumes her out of
state travel schedule. She's now campaigning in New Jersey and
doing book signings in San Francisco. Governor Whitmer's sending the
Michigan Army National Guard to the US southern border to
assist with the largest deportation effort in our country's history.
(14:44):
The Guard confirming that Whitmor's signing off on its six
operations on the southern border since twenty twenty, following previous
deployments that year and in twenty twenty one, twenty two,
and twenty four. Currently one hundred and twenty soldiers heading
south for up to a year. House Speaker Mike Johnson
guest on ABC's This Week program. He's talking about the
No King's anti Trump protests across the country over the weekend,
(15:06):
some far from peaceful.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
We have video and photos of pretty violent rhetoric calling
out the president, seeing fascists must die, and all the rest.
I mean, I don't think that's loving speech.
Speaker 6 (15:16):
For these stories and more, visit The Midwesterner at the
Midwesterner dot.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
News again streaming issues this morning on the video. So
we're trying to get it, and it's not one hundred percent,
but we've got it up on a couple of the platforms, Facebook,
Rumble Locals. We may have it up on X I'm
not I'm not certain of that. Oh it looks like
(15:41):
X is live too now via the Rumble studio. So anyway,
we're trying our best. We so appreciate you and your patients.
If that's the way you normally listen or watch and
you found yourself back on the stream here, that's cool too.
We do the behind the scenes live stream every day.
What I'm talking about is kind of a a video
and chat feature of the show where people get to
(16:04):
have conversations while we do the radio show and then
eventually record the after show and whatnot. But you know,
that's the thing is we're always here the radio station
iHeartRadio wherever you listen. You can do those things live
and archived, and it's the old, reliable, sometimes fancy new technology.
Well you know, you know the way that works. Sometimes
(16:26):
it just doesn't. And the case today again is because
it looks like an attack on the Amazon Web Services,
which is one of the streaming software companies that we
use to push the show out. Is responsible or being
affected by it anyway, We'll just put it that way.
(16:48):
All right, I'm going to show another video or play
for you part of it. You're not going to be
able to see it, but I'll just describe to what's
happening here and then people probably we're not gonna be
able to show this on the streaming it's a woman
rather large woman. She's a teacher. Her name is Lucy Martinez.
Apparently that's according to reports on online on AX here,
(17:11):
I don't they say she's a teacher. Somewhere in Chicago.
She's caught. And there were people I guess, confront of
each other during these protests over the weekend, and one
of them was she kind of points to her neck
and does like this gun to her neck, mocking the
death of Charlie Kirk. So while these protests were mostly peaceful,
(17:32):
you know, and we mentioned this on Friday, In fact,
I asked people online to pray about this because look,
I told you, you said, don't go anywhere near this stuff.
You just don't know. It's a pounder keg. Right now,
You've got people like George Soros and some of these
other folks, billionaire types. They would love nothing more do
the see Americans come against each other and something big
break off. That's that's essentially what we're watching. Why, because
(17:56):
that's opportunity for them to move in and do the
things that they've always wanted to do. This is color
revolution stuff. Nothing. What I'm telling you now, by the way,
nothing new, undred Son. Nothing I'm telling you now is
new this has been done in countries all over the
world for years. Well, here she is. She's making that
gun sign to her neck as as they protest, and
(18:22):
looks like she's got a Mexican flag and then a
sign which I can't read. But that's probably one of
the wildest things I'd seen over the weekend. But one
I I will tell you one of the things that
I think, and this really solidifies the whole nol kings
thing and probably in a really bigger way, is that
(18:48):
it really looks odd. There's not a lot, there's not
a defined message other than we hate Donald Trump. In fact,
I've got clip after clip. Main we can play through
some of these later where people are asked why are
you here and they don't really they don't really have
an answer. They don't like when you have one specific
thing that they want to share. Well, he's a king,
(19:09):
we need him to not act like a king. Let's
get rid of him. That there's no answer. Scott Adams
nailed this the other day.
Speaker 7 (19:16):
If you have a no King's rally in twenty seven
hundred places with seven million protesters and the so called
fascist government in charge, the only response to it is
two insulting memes. That was it that the entire pushback
(19:38):
to seven million people demanding that the constitution be followed
was oh, here's a funny meme. Nothing else, because you
know where, you can't have seven million people running around
protesting no kings anywhere there's a king. If you had
(19:59):
a king, you'd not be doing that. Yeah, that's for sure,
you wouldn't be doing any of that. So and then
it got funnier because apparently some decision was made and
I don't know by whom or why, to hand out
lots of American flags. Now, what do you think when
(20:19):
you see a big crowd of people with American flags?
Don't you think they're Republicans?
Speaker 3 (20:26):
What an interesting point. I play a little bit more
of that coming up and you'll be able to hear
the whole thing. Don't go anywhere. We got more. Kyle
Olsen are good friends joining us next right here on
West Michigan Line with the latest. We'll talk a little
bit of no Kings protests. But there's news stories that
you just haven't are across the state and beyond. We'll
get into those all after this. It's West Michigan Live
(20:49):
on WHAT Radio. Kyle Olsen is joining us on the
line here in just moments from the Midwestern or the
Midwestern News. But some of these folks were at the
No Kings proceest over the weekend and had some thoughts
for us. Let me just grab a couple of real
quick calls here. I believe it's Dale up first, Good morning, Dale,
you're live unless.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Line, well it's Gail. But yeah, I had a dime
for every time I was called Dale. I'd be a millionaire.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Hear you welcome at Gail.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
Yeah. I was at the Riverside Park rally, and I
should probably set this up correctly. I was wearing a
shirt with bold lettering on it, which is important. At
the top it said no kings with little crown. Right
after that, the next line was thank god we live
(21:44):
in and after that was a constitutional republic and not
a democracy, and then no kings again at the bottom.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
That's good.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
So, yeah, it was and I did have some interactions.
It was peaceful, by the way. It was peaceful.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
How did that go? By the way. I know this
was a big this was this whole thing was a
very big. It was a big production. I know the
people that live by that park, that that got flyers
put on their doors. I mean, so it wasn't just
that people had heard about it. I mean they did
grassroots kind of knock on doors and try to get
people there, which is kind of interesting too. But I
(22:26):
don't know if everyone knew why they were there. What
was your.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Experience, Well, my experience was I a friend of mine
came with me and they were saying, well, are we
going to be on the Trump side? And I said, no,
We're going to be on the constitutional republic side. Yeah,
(22:49):
if that makes sense to you, I think so.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Yeah. So we went in there and I wanted to
go to every booth and make sure they saw my
shirt so they could read it. A few people recognize that.
They really kind of kept their mouths shut. Actually had
one lady take a picture of us. I don't think
she knew what the shirt meant. Yeah, and I did
(23:15):
have a couple of interactions where a guy confronted me
and he said, well, democracy, and I said, well, we
have never had a democracy. This is a constitutional republic.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
That's good education right there too. Most people don't know that, Gail,
I appreciate it. Sounds like it.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Was pretty it was peaceful, it was peaceful.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Now did anybody have any actual reason? Did they know
why they were there or have any actual reason otherwise
they just didn't like the president.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
I think it was an anti Trump thing. Yeah, and
I saw the word democracy all over the place. And
I'll be honest with you justin I think if I
hear or see the word democracy in reference to our country,
I'm going to throw up, you know what I mean? Yeah,
it's but it was. It was peaceful, and I had
(24:08):
the last interaction I had was on the way out
of the event and someone said, yeah, I said, it's
a constitutional republic and I said it's never been at democracy.
Actually the conversation did not did not go beyond that,
if you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
Yeah, well, Gil, I appreciate the fact you were there
having conversations with people and peacefully and then it all
went without any any major issues. Thank you for your
your input to I would love and I'm just opened
the phone, and thank you very much, sir for the call.
How open the phone. Anybody was there that was there
to protest, if you would actually articulate tell us why
(24:49):
you were protesting, I'd love to hear that. I just
think that we're not going to there's several of these
clips run around right now where people just have no
idea that they don't want to talk to the camera
once they realize it's not just yeah, Trump sucks, you know,
that's he's bad. You know, that's kind of the whole
push of it all. I've got a few others on hold.
We're going to talk to you in just a moment.
Please stand on the phone if you can. Kyle Olsen
(25:11):
joining us now from the Midwest and the Midwestern or
Dot News with Well News on that No King's updates
as well some of the other things happened around the
state over the weekend. Good morning, Kyle, how are you.
Speaker 8 (25:24):
Good morning? Yeah, I think Saturday was a massive success
because we still have No King.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Yeah, it is amazing. Two hundred almost two hundred and
fifty years in counting, it's incredible. Oh man.
Speaker 8 (25:37):
Yes, But you know what it's about is they're organizing. Yeah,
and because they want to grow, they want to grow
their lists. They want because they're trying to accumulate enough
people that they can then activate in the twenty twenty
six elections. So that's really what this is all about.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
So the behind the scenes here folks the inside politics,
the track on and what strategy is really happening. They're
not just throwing parties. They're not just trying to you
I'll get people upset at Trump because what is accomplished
by something like this, if you look at it on
the surface, nothing, nothing's changed from then to the day.
Nothing will other than as Cyle just said, you make
(26:18):
a great point, they're growing their list. Tell us what
they can do with that list and what will happen
in the in the days to come moving into twenty twenty.
Speaker 8 (26:26):
Six, Well, the the Democrats and progressives are very sophisticated
at organizing and because and they want to organize communities
et cetera, churches, et cetera. And then what they will
do is then activate those people into campaigns to win
(26:49):
in twenty twenty six. And so that's really what it's
all about. Yes, they want to attack Donald Trump, and
they want to you know, call them names and all
of that. That's not actually accomplishing anything because he is
still the president. He is still not a king. America
is you know, the same government and government wise as
(27:13):
it was the day before they protested, So none of
that changes. But this is about organizing for twenty twenty
six and twenty twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
And well, there you have it. What an interesting moment
and a look behind the scenes there, as you say,
of what's probably really going on, one of the things
I would tell you, and they're desperate. I think this
is why they're caving on a few things. There's in
fact been talked about that we make cave on the
they may get a cave on the shutdown here on
(27:43):
what I call the Schumer shakedown post No King's Weekend.
Here's the making that point. This is NEC director has
it on squawk Box this morning on CNBC.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
Well, first of all, the President has been very active
throughout this process, but it's also his position that this
is a thing that the Senate needs to work out.
A lot of our friends and the Senate have said
that it was just bad optics for Democrats to open
the government before the No King's rally, and that now
there's a shot that this week things will come together
and very quickly the moderate Democrats will move forward and
(28:18):
get us an open government, at which point we could
negotiate whatever policies they want to negotiate with regular order. Now,
I was very pleased to see that. My friend Senator
Shaheen from Hampshire, a very sound minded Democrat, came out
and supported opening the government on Friday. So it means
that they're sort of cracks in the Schumer armor. I
think the Schumer shut down is likely to end sometime
(28:40):
this week. But I can tell you that if it doesn't.
If it doesn't, if the story that we've been basically
hearing from moderates that look, we just can't do it
in front of the No King's rally, if that ends
up not being true, that I think that the White
House is going to have to look very closely, along
with russ vote at stronger measures that we could take
to bring up to the table.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
Interesting interesting comments there from Hassett. You know, I'll let
you comment on that. The other thing I'll tell you
too is one of the protesters, and I think there
might have been a few of them that were like this.
That protest wasn't all just about Donald Trump. You know.
The other thing is that they don't like is they
(29:19):
don't really like the way Democrats are handing things right now.
They really don't like the way Democrats are running things.
That protest was just as much against the Democrat leadership,
and that party itself, a party I think is in trouble.
I know they're trying to organize, to your point, but
I think those folks just as mad at Democrats as
are Trump.
Speaker 8 (29:37):
Right now, Yeah, I think you're right. There's talk that
Hakeem Jeffries, the House Democrat leader, may be facing a
primary from the left. You know, there's talk that AOC
may be running against Chuck Schumer in a primary for
the New York Senate seat. So the left is definitely,
(29:59):
the far left is definitely trying to pull the party left,
and I think that's what we're seeing because you just
look at those pictures and you look at some of
the organizers. You know, the Communist Party USA was one
of the groups involved on Saturday. Is there anything else
you need to know? And so the fact that the
Democrats are standing with the CPUSA is I think is
(30:23):
very indicative of the direction that the Democrats are going,
and they they do not want the Democrats to cave.
And so I think what's going to be interesting to
see is at what point do they do that? Because
how long can they allow this to go on? You know,
(30:45):
Hillary Skulton, it was ironic to me she was demanding
that the Republicans go to the negotiating table, but she
was saying that while she was sitting in Grand Rapids,
and she did. She did a telephone town hall last
week where she was claiming that America is in a
constitutional crisis. I'm not exactly sure why she thinks that,
(31:09):
but this is sort of the unhinged rhetoric that far
left Democrats are spewing in order to try and win
this whole shutdown fight. And let's be clear, they believe
because the Republicans are in charge of the Congress and
the White House. They're calculus is that because they're in charge,
(31:30):
they have more to lose than the Democrats do with
the shutdown. So the Democrats have no urgency to get
this salt.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
It'll be a really interesting interesting to watch it all
play out, as I think there are folks starting to
feel some of the pain of this. What that looks
like is, you know, folks in the military, particularly the
people that should be getting checks right now that aren't.
The Congressman Heisa go on over the weekend on Friday
(31:59):
and said, look, I got this new bill out there
like for Congress not to take checks while these other
folks aren't. If we're we're If we don't have a budget,
there shouldn't be any checks going out to us as well.
I thought that was really interesting. The Midwestern or the
Midwesterner dot News by the way, Kyle Olsen, big news
over the weekend, last story. We got to make this
(32:20):
one quick. But looks like there was a reprieve our
not our king, but our Queen, Gretchen Whitmer uh to
put the order down. Instead of killing Peanut the deer,
that blind fawn, that baby deer, she decided not to kill.
There was enough outrage. Maybe that's what the no king's
(32:41):
protester was about, was about Peanut. I don't know, but
this is good news at least for Peanut.
Speaker 8 (32:49):
Yes, so Gretchen Whitmer's DNR issued in order to execute
Peanut the deer. It was Peanut is a visually impaired
fawn and there was an animal sanctuary that was helping Peanut.
And because they didn't get a particular permit application request
(33:14):
in submitted in time, then the DNR was going to
kill the deer. And Angelo Regus, state representative from Caledonia
and others Midwesterner, others brought attention to the fact that
Gretchen Whitmer's DNR was actually going to murder this poor
deer who couldn't even see them coming. Well, they finally
(33:38):
agreed to give that, to give the permit, so Peanut
will now be at a howl sanctuary. But there's other
animals that this sanctuary is rehabilitating that are still on
the list to be killed by Gretchen Whitmer's DNR.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
Isn't that something? Well, maybe we go before the queen
and make some sort of impassioned flea and she'll have
a self mercy on us or these other animals. It's
just wild to see this is happening the same weekend
as No King's Day. More to the Midwesterner, the Midwesterner,
dot News, anything else you're working on folks ought to
(34:18):

Little morning? Justin justin, I didn't waste my time going
to any of them stupid realities. But I look, I
just got one mustage for these people. Do give it
up and shut up and go home. Do yourself a favor. Remember,
folks out there, when there's a whole bunch more of
(37:37):
us than there are, you making a fool out of yourself.
Speaker 3 (37:41):
Well, thank you so, Mike, you're absolutely right in one
of the way and thinking about Look, I encourage protests,
but just know why you're there. Know why you're there,
have have all of that figured out and uh and
then be able to be able to articulate it. Right.
That's probably a good, good thing. Uh. And then remember
the Yes, the real protest happens on election day at
(38:06):
the ballot box. It's been real, real protest happens. Okay.
I've I been talking about this throughout the show at
different moments, and I wanted to make sure that I
I did get to it. Because of the stream situation,
I'm probably not going to be able to do it
completely justice today, but I wanted to share some bad
(38:26):
news that I got over the weekend, and I'm sharing
it on the air as well as their folks in
the stream, because it's one big audience. Folks, when you
listen to this program, whether you're in West Michigan and
listening live, or you're listening to the archive the podcast
anywhere across the Fruited Plain as Rush used to say,
or even across the world. We get people watching, tuning
(38:47):
in on some of the streaming apps and whatnot. We
had one member of our audience who was in the
fight for her life against cancer and we've been praying
for her talking about it throughout, especially folks in the chat.
Her name was Fernie. Fernie co went to be with
(39:08):
the Lord this weekend, and in fact, I got a
message I believe it's from her daughter Jen over the
weekend with the news, not good news, the news that
I didn't want to have to share. And I know
that so many of you were praying for her and
(39:30):
pulling for her and had asked questions and wondered, you know,
what was the latest on her. We hadn't heard for
her in a couple of weeks, and her daughter, I believe,
Jen said, I wanted you to know that she did
pass away this afternoon. She talked about the show and
the podcast and the Barclay family all the time. It
meant so much to her. She said a while back,
(39:53):
I don't remember if she won the T shirt or
we had just sent her one, but we'd send her
one of our T shirt's the Gulf of American Tea,
I believe is what it was. Jen said. She definitely
fought hard all the way to the end, and we
(40:13):
hung her T shirt on the wall this last week
so she could look at it. I don't know about you, folks,
but I have no words. What we're doing here, I
think is a lot more than meets the eye, and
I just wanted to let you know while I still
(40:33):
can that I appreciate you, that I love you, and
we'll stay together in this fight with one another. The
good news is, no matter what the headlines, that God
is still on the throne. Wishing you the best, God
bless
