still unclear when it comes to answers, particularly around the
Brown University attack.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
We'll have more on that telling up this morning. And
goodness too. Don't go anywhere.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Here we go Hughes Weather and Traffic, his stories of
the day. We are talking about what matters most in
West Michigan and beyond.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
This is the Big Three now, yeah, the stories of
matter motion be talking about days around the water, cool
the dinner table, no matter where you are. Our good
friends at Artlin All Mortgage want to make sure you're
taken care of whether you want to buy refie home,
I go to the line of credit. They've got on
the team standing by ready to help you, just like
(01:27):
they've helped us. They're faster, they're better than the big bangs.
Let me tell you, we've saved thousands each and every
time we work with them. In fact, I think you're
gonna do the same.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
You'll hear those reports from some of the other folks
that listen to their programs have done just that.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
As well, and they're here for you, Number one. We
appreciate their support.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
President Trump announcing a blockade of Venezuela over on truth, social,
in fact and ominous. Yet, as I mentioned stern warning
President Ryan on two, socially, he's ordering a total and
complete blockade of sanctioned oil tankers. So this is this
(02:07):
is just the next step. They've already sanctioned these tankers
into oil, going into and out of it as well.
He claimed the Maduro regime has been now designated as
a foreign terrorist organization.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
He'd know, so he's to be able to do that.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
President also set to deliver a prime time address to
the Nation tonight. I believe it's around nine pm. You
can watch that on the networks or listen on the
Fox News Radio portion of the iHeartRadio oppo. Police in
Providence still on the search for the Brown University killer.
(02:44):
You know, I've seen these memes and this is probably
the perfect example of them. They have here's a video
picture from Mars and it's super clear. Then they show
this guy that they've got video or pictures off.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
And it's not it's not great.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
We continue to ask questions around what happened, what was
shouted that day they're on campus, and whether or not
that young lady who was killed was targeted. She was
the vice president of the Young Republicans organization there, outspoken
Christian conservative.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
In fact, there are many that are making the case
that she was.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
We'll hear from one of those on the way this morning.
Maybe the reason why they're dragging their feet.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
On some of this. In very liberal.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Rhode Island, protests against data centers continue. In fact, a
rally Tuesday in the Capitol here in Lansing organized by
groups like Michiganders against Data Centers and involving clean water action.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Some of these lefties.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Including Attorney General Dana Nessel coming together with folks on
a Right and a bipartisan crowd, oh highlighting concerns over
water usage, electricity demands, rate hikes, lack of transparency, and
environmental issues as well. When it comes to the impact
of these things, and you can't blame them. Folks have questions,
(04:15):
got to get those answered, and we've got to make
sure when you're going about this process that you involve
these people decide whether or not they want them in
their backhard. We've seen that Grand Rapid City has done
that recently, low kicking one well the can down the
road for a while at least as people can begin
to speak out on this is one doing Sparta sometime soon.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
We've heard news about that too.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
All of these stories and more, Folks will continue to
keep you posted updated on them as we lock in.
You can join the program at any time.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Here's your number, Well Justin now at six one si
seven seven for twenty four twenty four. That's six one
six seven seven for twenty four to twenty four West
Michigan Live with Justin Barclay on news Radio WOUOD thirteen
hundred and one oh six nine a.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
F M another day, another embarrassing moment. By the way,
at one of those pressers, the mayor in Rhode Island
and the police chief both seemed to be not the
people that you'd want the face of something like they
don't They just don't seem to be handling this whole
(05:31):
thing very well.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Providence Police Chief.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
The video that we showed you came from inside the
building a Rhode Island Attorney general. It's from outside the building.
Wait a minute, a little bit of back and forth
on where the thing even came from. As granny as
it is, they've got pictures of this individual and they
can't even figure out where it came from.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
That's a whole other The.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
Video came from inside the building, and this hole we
had at the mote noun soul we have at this momentum.
Speaker 6 (05:55):
Or Okay, so it's from the outset, so you have
both inside and outside. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
That was that was the outside of the building were released.
Me let me just let me just jump here and clarify.
Speaker 7 (06:19):
Okay, so there is you know, for those of you
been with us before, and I understand not all of
you have been, there is video inside the building.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
There are cameras inside the building.
Speaker 8 (06:28):
What we have released to you are videos.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
They will say outside the building. Now, why wouldn't they
give us all the videos? Why wouldn't they just show
us everything?
Speaker 2 (06:41):
What?
Speaker 3 (06:41):
What? What are they waiting for? I mean, why wouldn't
they just put it all out there? I mean, it
really does. It's it makes you wonder, what.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
What's the hold up?
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Put it all out there, Get this guy caught, get
him found. They also tell you he's not a threat.
He may be armed in dangerous, but he's not a threat.
That would indicate again that they know who he is,
they know why he did it, and it probably targeted.
Speaker 6 (07:16):
These individuals unfortunately, who were.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Who were there that day.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
There's one account I think I heard, and I have
to go back and look this up, but forgive me wrong,
but I believe, I believe there's one account that this
this guy that came in, the killer came in and
he looked one of the folks in the eyes and
(07:42):
he says, apparently this individual could have taken a shot,
could have taken this guy out, and didn't and just
walked away and left. So figure that out, what out
if you can. What was what was that all about,
(08:06):
and and what and by the way, what is that?
What does that even mean? Mark Alprin, who you're familiar
with this guy, if you've saw face, you know exactly
what I'm talking about. He's he's he's got his.
Speaker 6 (08:19):
Own show, his own podcast stream, et cetera.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
And he's making the case on his show, The Morning
Meeting the title today, Reconciling the unreconcilable. It's interesting conversation
there about Ella Cook. People who are telling me. He
says that the family of Ala Cook, the woman from Alabama,
was a target of what happened there at Brown And
(08:49):
maybe that's again, maybe that's reason why you're not hearing
all of this is because they want to make sure
that they dot all the ice, cross all the t's,
and maybe that's not a convenient narrative for them. So
we've moved beyond Charlie Kirk on the campus possibly horrific
(09:14):
to think of it.
Speaker 8 (09:15):
The Brown ones can a little complicated because I don't
know that any news organization has reported this, but I've
been besieged with messages from people who are really concerned
about the report. And again, I believe in being transparent here.
(09:36):
If I were editing the New York Times. I don't
think I put it in the paper, but people are
telling me that the family of Ella Cook the Alabama,
a young woman who was a sophomore, has been told
that she was the target of what happened to Brann.
I have no idea whether that's true. There's other theories
about why the person did what they did, but now
(09:56):
that we don't know who the assailant is, it's going
to be hard to say. But if it's true that
she was targeted, that's a big story because she was
one of the most visible conservatives on that campus. Don't
know that it's true, but probably most of you don't
even know that that's being alleged because you'd have to
follow certain accounts on acts or have sources as I do,
(10:17):
who are telling me that. So Amber, if she was targeted,
and again we don't know that. But if she were targeted,
what would the implications of that be.
Speaker 9 (10:27):
Well, I'll start with a couple of things that I
think lend credence to that theory, which is one typically
when we see maskal shooters, they don't just stop and
walk away, right. Usually they keep going until they're apprehended
by police shot dead or they kill themselves.
Speaker 8 (10:44):
Amber, let me just stop you. I should have been clear.
She was the number two person at the Young Republicans
branch on Brown's campus, So that's why that's why some
people are concerned if she weren't targeted, Go ahead, Amber,
I apologize right well.
Speaker 9 (10:57):
And the other thing is if the police are telling
Brown students that they are safe, they don't have to
shelter in place anymore, but they don't have a suspecting custody,
I think that also suggests that this was some kind
of targeted attack. Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised. You know,
when I was on campus at Georgetown, I was chair
(11:18):
of the College Republicans. I had to report multiple threats
against me in my final two years on campus. And
it seems to me that the political violence problem has
only gotten worse in the ten years since. There's been
obviously numerous high profile attacks, the two assassination attempts on
Donald Trump, the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the attempted bombing
(11:41):
of a local Fox News band, and we also have
all of these surveys and polls showing that young people
are more comfortable with political violence than at any point
in modern political history.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
So if that's the case, to me, they don't know
this for a fact, right, But as Halprin makes a point,
But if that's the case, then it's no under there.
Speaker 6 (12:07):
Slow rolling all of this information.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
They don't Maybe they don't exactly know who it is.
I mean, they don't exactly know where the individual is.
Maybe they got completely caught off guard on all of
this and now they're they're stuck, and they don't they
don't want to go out there and say some of
the things that they know.
Speaker 9 (12:29):
There really is a strain among young people where they
believe that political differences and problems can be solved by
killing the person of the opposite political strike.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Horrific.
Speaker 5 (12:44):
Kevin, Yeah, I agree completely with Amber. I'm so sorry
that was your experience at Georgetown. You know what, I
went to Catholic you here in Washington, d C. And
you know, we did so much cross party programming with Democrats,
some Republicans of the college groups just because it was
I think important to realize and keep everything in perspective
(13:06):
that we're all Americans first, and we just disagree. And
and to Amber's point, we have seen this transcend now
to lower generations, where that the idea that political violence
is a solution to our disagreements is on the rise.
And I think it's, you know, fueled by video games
and desensitation and just this loneliness factor that we have
in our society that that this is a solution. And again,
(13:30):
there are more questions and answers, and I think we'll
get a better picture, hopefully when this person is found
and arrested in Providence and we get the real understanding
of the of the motives in this case specifically.
Speaker 8 (13:44):
Yeah, you know, we don't obviously, I know, you know,
we don't always know.
Speaker 6 (13:48):
What happened to them. That's the obvious part.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
Halburn and that whole segment, by the way, I'll put
up online so you can listen to it. But it
is It is interesting if that's true. The family the
woman killed Ella being told that she was targeted or
was a target in this situation, Well that changes quite
a bit, doesn't it. That changes quite a bit because
(14:11):
now we've moved from big figures like CEOs and Charlie
Kirk himself, right, political figures to just average students on campus. Horrific,
And I thought that is worth at least exploring folks.
(14:35):
More on that coming out. We'll continue to keep you updated.
This story and more coming up. We'll give you some
good news too. I've got some of that. We'll talk
more about what the President's announcement could be tonight as well.
All coming up on West Michigan Live. I don't go anywhere.

help us on and off the air, whether you're a
work or at play. There's no sense in not being comfortable,
especially if you're on your feet your job on a
(19:33):
daily basis. Here a nurse or somebody working in the
factories wherever you are, right, maybe just a grandma who
wants to keep up after those grandkids. Do it in
comfort at the Good Feet Store a couple of different locations.
You know, I've been talking about this for a while now,
Tess the season, take care of yourself, get ahead of it.
Maybe that New Year's resolution you've been thinking about twenty
eighth Street right in front of Costco, or in Portage
(19:56):
on Westnage in front of Coles. Walk into the Good
Feet Store today and feel that comfort that's maybe been
keeping you from doing all the things that you want
to do, all the things that you love to do.

every day and quite frankly every day as a dad
running after chasing after the girls. We got all the
(20:17):
Christmas stuff, Christmas programs happening and more. Behind the scenes,
well there there's always something going on. And speaking of
what you know, there's always something going on. We've got
some of these stories behind the scenes. MAHA notifications for you.
Another big update, Doctor James lyons Weiler, and he goes
(20:39):
by Doctor Jack. By the way, if you're familiar with him,
he's in in the fight for a long time. Fact's
got a sub stack we're going to talk about today
that you're going to want to know about. But behind
the scenes, Michigan trying to go full total. We talked
about this in last week or so against vaccine exemptions.
Doctor Jack's here with us with the latest on this
story now and of course his piece here. You're not
(21:00):
going to want to miss this, and we'll tell you
we're going to go watch it, connect with him and more.
But doctor Jack, thanks for taking the time to be
here with us.
Speaker 10 (21:05):
Today, my honor and pleasure. Justin I've not heard of
your show. You seem like a really good host. I
want to tell you I'm going to tune in.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
Well. Thank you, sir.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
I appreciate that you've been in a fight for some
time now, and I kind of promoted this as good news.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
Now.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
The reason I said this not necessarily that they're continuing
to do what they're doing with the Board of Education
at the state level, but I think it's good news
because people are onto them and they've been fighting back
and this Maha movement has really awakened so many parents
in the last five years and more. I'm sure you've
(21:44):
you've got a front row seat for this.
Speaker 10 (21:47):
I have. I got started in twenty fifteen when I
decided to write a chapter on vaccines for one of
my books, my book is Curious Versus Profits. I left
the chapter in vaccines in the book in spite of it.
Knew the fact that I knew that it would just
stoy any chance of a further academic career for me.
You know, I want to take the opportunity really to
(22:08):
highlight that all of what you see happening in Michigan,
and there is a spate of bills that Michigan for
Vaccine Choice can tell you all about and others can
tell you about, but all they really have is administrative obfiscation,
administrative overreach. You know, one of my associates and close
advisors is Jeremy Hammond. He's a Michigander and I just
(22:32):
got off the phone with him. And if you go
to Jeremy Hammond dot org, he's got a great article
outlining specifically how you know everybody in Michigan thinks that
it's by law. If you have a vaccine exemption, you
have to go and get an education from the state,
from your county or whatever that says, you know, you
(22:53):
understand the risks of vaccines and so on. And Jeremy
and a bunch of his legal advisors did the hard
work of actually bothering to read the Michigan law and
what's on the books and found that public Health has
done a massive overreach and a snow job in misleading
(23:14):
the public and the thinking that they need to do that.
According to Jeremy and in his article, there is standing
laws passed by the legislature signed by the governor that
states that the only the only requirement for someone to
(23:35):
get a vaccine exemption is that the parent notified the
school administrator, period full stop. And so the Michigan Public
Health Code is actually misleading. So his analysis, I'll read it.
Michigan law grants parents the rights to exempt their children
from vaccine vaccination requirements to a written statement submitted directly
(23:56):
to the school. It also says the MDHHS administrative rule
has been misread by the school to impose for the
requirements that lack legal basis. The school's reasoning relies on
circular logic and faults to identify any statute requiring parents
attendance to educational session or any use of any certified
waiver form. The school's refusal to accept a lawful exemption
(24:18):
violates the Public Health Code, improperly delegates enforcement power to
school administrators, and constitutes unlawful discrimination. And so it's all
the citations are here that's necessary. This isn't part of
the This isn't a problem that exists because there's a
conflict between this part of Michigan legislation and that part
that can be settled through, you know, the negotiations between
(24:41):
legislatures or lawsuits. This problem exists simply because the Michigan
Public Health authorities have decided to write a rule that
violates Michigan law. And so, you know, I would encourage
people to check out Jeremy Hammond dot com and you know,
he's a really very well studied parent of a vaccine
(25:02):
injured child. I would like to emphasize that without people
like Jeremy doing the due diligence, we would not have
the MAHA movement. Without people doing their part to look
for themselves what reality is and not just rely on
some authority telling them this is the rule. And you know, Jeremy,
this this is actually this very rule impacted his life.
(25:24):
He actually was thrown out of a practice by a pediatrician,
He was thrown out of a school, and so on.
So these administrative rules do not override the rights protected
by statute. And this is the same as Rashaul Walynsky
with her overreach telling people if you own property and
want to rent it, you can't charge rent that That's
(25:47):
not her job description. She didn't have the authority to
do that. So this authority overreach, I think we're going
to see that a lot of these bills that are
being proposed are simply doing what they can do to
make the parents' lives difficult, to make individual lives difficult,
to sing no to vacaccines.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
Doctor Jack with us right now walking through some of
these things. And you know, look, as a parent, our first,
our oldest was born in twenty twenty and while all
this was going on, and my story is kind of interesting,
but this is this is what happened to us. She
was born three months early, and we found ourselves with
(26:30):
some really nice people taking great care of our daughter.
But also we found ourselves kind of in a place
where we didn't know what was going to happen next,
and we hadn't, you know, gotten the pediatrician lined up yet,
because we still had plenty of time. And one of
the things you have to do before you leave the
nick you is you got to get your pediatrician. They'll
tell you go find one. So I started making phone
(26:50):
calls and almost every person I talked to would say
to me, as we were just really checking insurance, because
she'd been in the NICKU the whole time in Michigan.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
You force you take this.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
I guess it's Medicaid, some sort of Michigan program that
they have and thankfully do because it costs to be
in the millions for thirty days or more in the
nick QUE.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
So you take this.
Speaker 3 (27:12):
In other words, you have to call the pediatricians and
see if they'll accept whatever it is that you have.
So when you do that, you get various answers. And
one of the things that kept coming up, doctor was, well,
we every one of our patients, yes we accept this,
or no we don't, but every one of our patients
has to agree to follow the CDC recommend recommended guidelines
(27:34):
for vaccinations.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
And if you don't you're out? You know?
Speaker 3 (27:37):
That was that was it, and I just kept getting it,
and I just this light bulb went off in my head.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
I'm like, what, what? Why?
Speaker 3 (27:45):
And just days earlier, I had gotten a phone call
from someone I know, like and trust, someone I've known
in the news business for years, and she says to me,
I can be careful I tell this story publicly, but
she says, you gotta this is horrible news. You never
going to believe it, She says, my I'll just say it.
This one, someone I know very close to me, is
(28:08):
about to be named Biden's head of the CDC, and
she's just beside herself.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
She says, this person.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
The only reason she's going to get this is because
she's a big Democrat donor and YadA, YadA, YadA.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
And so then the two things started connecting with me.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
I said, well, this is very interesting, isn't it, Because
you know, if I have to agree to follow some
guidelines that I'm not even sure how got put in place,
because the head of this thing is going to be
somebody who's some sort of donor class individual, YadA, what,
how do I know that they have the best interest
at heart? And in this moment everything started to light
(28:46):
up for me. And yes, she was named the head
of the CDC, and everything and everything that I was
told was going to happen.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Didn't take place.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
So really interesting to see that that's what started our journey.
And I know various other people had various different ways
that they woke up along the way.
Speaker 10 (29:05):
Yeah, I mean, we all have our stories. I was
full on pro vaccine while I was raising my kids
in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I had no problem with vaccines. We
spaced them out a little bit autom an abundance of caution,
and none of the pediatricians gave us a hard time.
The real battle here is a battle between public health,
which answers to the pharmaceutical companies, and the tendency of
(29:25):
pediatricians to be soft on following ethical medicine because of
the perverse incentives for vaccine coverage. And so, you know,
it's a whole dynamic ecosystem of struggles. And you know,
when I saw that the science backing vaccine safety was
(29:49):
the weakest type of science that could be imagined in
other areas of research. You think in biomedicine, vaccines are safe,
vaccines are effective, They would have used rigorous, gold standard science. Instead,
they were using the same kind of science that allows
sociology and psychology to earn the label soft science. These
are just retrospective correlation studies, no hard test of the
(30:09):
hypothesis that perhaps the vaccine is causing some adverse event.
And so you know what people in Michigan need to
be aware of is that public health lost control of
medicine that they had through HHS. This is a devastating
loss to them. So now they're going in two directions.
(30:31):
They're going to the state level and they're saying, we
need to enact what we wanted through HHS and the
state level, and we need to become more draconian. We
need to make cape through ten public schools disseminate all
this aggregate immunization data, this vaccination coverage data, violating privacy
potentially of students. That we need to strip the authority
(30:55):
from the treating physicians by mandating all exempt exemption documentation
conforms to MDHHS generated forums, where right now all parent
has to do is write a letter or an email
to the school administrator and it requires it's taking out
religious exemption and just say objection. So it's forcing the
(31:16):
parents to adopt a particular language, and that's cowercet speech,
which is not legal under the First Amendment. There's a
whole lot of violations and just overreach. The physician's role
here just becomes a ceremonial rubber stamper. They don't have
to get down on the weeds with this stuff. And
the state tries to consolidate control over both the medical
(31:36):
practice and non medical exemption pathways. So you know, people
need to stand up to this. They need to be
aware that HB five three four eight and HB five
three four nine absolutely steal your ability to just use
your own voice to say I object to this or
(31:57):
I do not consent to this. But there's another love
here that they can't They can't control. Every single vaccine
that's on the pediatric schedule is subject to long term
vaccine safety science through retrospective studies. I said that earlier
they are weak studies, but they still exist. They look
at vaccine adverse events through the various database, the Vaccine
(32:18):
Adverse Events Reporting System, they look at them through the
Vaccine Safety Data Link. No parent in Michigan has ever
been asked by if pediatrician would you like to enroll
your child into a long term vaccine safety study? And
this is a violation of the CODA federal regulations. It's
forty five CFR forty six, and the Common Rule and
(32:39):
a bunch of other things. Children and pregnant women belong
to a special protected class where informed consent and proper
ethical treatment during clinical studies and human subject research. I
have special protections. And every child that's been offered a vaccine,
every parent that's been offered a vaccine, and even those
who decline it should have been informed that they're trying
(33:02):
to enroll your child into a long term vaccine safety study.
And that's a violation of the principles informed consent for research. Well,
this mandate, this coercion, this state level, you're going to
be denied access to school, You're going to be denied
medical care. That's coercion to get your kids into long
term vaccine safety studies. And I keep saying this, but
(33:24):
it doesn't seem to really hit home. The only thing
that you have that the state cannot control. In the end,
the only thing that you have are the inalienable rights
that are given to you by the US Constitution. The
states constantly try to find ways to take away your
individual rights guaranteed to you by those by these by
the Constitution, and in one of those rights is the
(33:47):
right to life. And if a vaccine could potentially kill
your child or you and you and you are coerced
to mare mandated to take a vaccine that is mandated death.
If it's during a research trial or medical practice, makes
a little difference if you're dead. Right, the only thing
that we have that's sacred to ourselves that the state
(34:07):
can never touch is our right to practice religion, our
right to personal autonomy, all of these rights that are
codified in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and
so these bills that are here that in Michigan that
are being proposed to take away these individual rights. Whether
you're for vaccines or not for vaccines, understand that pharma
(34:29):
wants to bring in two hundred over two hundred more
vaccines to market. How many of those vaccines are your
kids going to be subjected to in five years when
they come to market and mandated to take without your choice.
Otherwise you have to disrupt your life to take on
homeschooling if you want to say no. So this legislation
is draconian. It's absolutely.
Speaker 6 (34:52):
All of it.
Speaker 10 (34:53):
Go go to popular Rationalism substat dot com and find
that article Michigan tries to go full tilt. Make sure
you get a whole of your state legislators and tell
them that they are absolutely stand up against us, that
they need to do an inquisition, an absolute inquiry into
(35:15):
any relationships between pharmaceutical companies and members that have members
of public health and members that are pushing this legislation
because that's their trade association. Pharma is a trade association,
bios of trade association. The American Academy Pediatrics is a
trade association, and they're constantly trying to use our children
to open up new markets. How many children are dying
(35:36):
from these two hundred other vaccines? You know the pathogens
that are in these other two hundred vaccines that right
now they're going to mandate in five years. If you
allow this to happen to Michigan, don't let this happen
to your children.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
