Speaker 1 (00:00):
By from higha top Monroe Center in downtown Grand Rapids.
We're talking about what matters most to you in West Michigan.
Joined the Conversation now at six one six seven seven
four twenty four twenty four At six one, six seven
seven twenty four to twenty four, it's West Michigan Live
with Justin Barklay on Wood Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Well, you know, any normal day is like drinking from
a firehouse. Today we have our mouth right on the hydrant.
It's it's going to be a fast flowing free for
all Friday and the biggest stories of the week coming
to a head right now. I want to make sure
you're up to date. What major breaking story and folks

(00:44):
right here in our own backyard have been fighting for
coming to a head yesterday, the breaking news and how
it all broke down with that Chinese Communist party link
battery maker north of Maconsta County.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
You'll get it.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Shut out news and traffic. I'm his Stories of the day.
We are talking about what matters most in West Michigan
and beyond.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
This is the Big three Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Now, says Big Three Yeah Stories powered by our good
friends at Heartland Home Mortgage. Dave Gallaway and the team
standing by willing to help you. What do you want
to buy a refy home equity line of credit? They
can take care of those needs for you. You're faster,
better than the big banks, and of course we've used them.
They've helped us buy refi home equity line of credit

(01:33):
all three times, saving thousands. Many of the folks that
listen to this program doing the same thing. Reach out
to Dave Galloway today and the crew and see what
they can help you do it HHM lending dot com,
especially as we see interest rates shifting. Those things that
we're keeping an eye on in the days ahead, Well,

(01:53):
it's it's.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Dead, folks.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Number one, Goshen is gone. Jack Elephant is what they
originally called it, the Chinese Communist Party Link battery maker
officially pulling the plug on its controversial EV plant in Macosta, Michigan.
Of course, Green Charter Township quite a history here. Those
people rose up, fought against it. They didn't want it

(02:17):
in their backyard, funded in part by Governor Whitmer's administration projects,
sparking massive backlash over national security, local control, and foreign influence,
and of course environmental issues as well. Now, after months
like years of protest and mounting pressure, Cooshin has gone
residents of Green Charter township, so they can finally move
on from the lies.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
But should we?

Speaker 2 (02:39):
I think it's time to begin a new face here,
and that's accountability. We really need to dig in, in
my opinion, to find out who funded, what happened to
the money, particularly with the EMDC under fire.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
This whole thing needs to get exposed and in a
big way.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
We'll talk more with Kyle Olsen from the Midwestern are
coming up in just moments on that. You're gonna hear
a lot about the shutdown all week long, and.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
A couple of big things to note.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Last night or yesterday, the Democrats voted to block a
bill that would pay military and essential workers during the shutdown.
Why would they do that, Well, it's because they don't
care about you. It's never been about you, and it's
about really inflicting as much pain as possible. That bipartisan
bill aiming that ensuring US troops and essential federal workers

(03:31):
will get paid during the shutdown stopped in its tracks,
blocked by Senate Democrats.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Critics say the.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Move puts politics over patriot Trump says it's okay. He's
figured out a way to get those folks paid. In fact,
a private donor is stepping up to pay one hundred
and thirty million dollars cover the expenses of paying those
folks in the military, and that person will remain.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Anonymous. What a story.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Were going, Well, this is interesting. They say they're canceling stamp.
Forty million Americans will lose their food stamps, their SNAP
benefits coming up November first, by the way, that's next
week again because of shumor shutdown.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
The unnecessary pain unfortunately does not end there. Funding for
the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program known as SNAP, which provides
food benefits to low income families, is beginning to lapse
this week in some states. If Democrats continue to hold
Americans but hostage, there will not be enough funds to
provide SNAP benefits for more than forty million Americans on

(04:44):
November first.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
That Suppress Secretary Carolyn Levitt here in Michigan.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
They're going right along with it.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
You'll find out coming up in just a matter of
time next week or say good, this would be next Saturday,
November first, those benefits on hold again. Democrats seem to
not really care about the American people don't care about
the military, that don't care about folks who need those benefits.

(05:11):
They care more about giving illegal aliens free healthcare. And
that's just the truth, more logic and common sense. On
a free for all Friday, we are full speed ahead.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Call Justin now at six one six seven seven four
twenty four twenty four at six one, six seven seven
four twenty four to twenty four West Michigan Live with
Justin Barclay on News Radio Wood thirteen hundred and one
oh six nine af AM.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
All right, so let's get down to it, break down
the biggest stories of the day and beyond our good
friend Kyle Olsen, the Midwestern and Midwesterner Dot News. Welcome in, Kyle, big,
huge congratulations for you and your work in putting this
Ghoshen plant down. The folks there in Macosta County elected
officials will hear from Congressman John Molinar a little bit

(06:03):
later on today, who is part of the Lori Brock
on the line a little bit later on as well.
But first, I don't think we can really it's kind
of hard to put into perspective how big this story was.
I remember Tutor Dixon mentioning it during her campaign in
twenty twenty two, and then from there it just kind
of grew.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
Well, yeah, she was the first one. And I will
never forget I was, you know, helping with her campaign,
and I will never forget being in the car. We
were driving somewhere and this was announced, This plant was announced,
and I went, what is Goshen? And I googled Goshen
and their website came up and it was all in Chinese,

(06:43):
and I went, what is going on here? So then
she made a video that night and said this is
you know, connected to the CCP, and it's all very concerning.
And that was sort of the beginning. And she was
the only one. There were republic plans in the legislature,
high level Republicans who were telling her, don't talk about this,

(07:06):
stand down, we need the jobs, you know, all of
that rhetoric. And then and then the Midwesterner got involved
in twenty twenty three and we revealed, you know, the connections,
very clear connections to the CCP, and and it just
you know, went from there. But I'll say, if the

(07:26):
local residents were not unified in fighting this, there would
have been nothing to cover. There would have been nothing
to amplify nothing to bring to national media to make
this the national story. And so the fact that the
local residents were unified in defending their community was what

(07:50):
sealed the deal to me.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Yeah, it's incredible what they did there. There was a
there was a township board that approved all this, supposedly
Republicans at the time. Lots of the things that came out,
their involvement in it, how far and how corrupt it
kind of not, was very much in question. And uh
and then those those folks that you just talked about, Boy,

(08:13):
they overthrew that board.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
They ran a recall and ran them all out on
a rail.

Speaker 5 (08:19):
It was such a such a disruption to a community
of you know, just a couple thousand people. And and
it started because Gretchen Whitmer, because of Chuck Balen, because
of Jim Chapman. And it was this attitude. You take

(08:40):
Jim Chapman in particular, who was the township supervisor at
the time. He thought he knew best, and he thought
he could sign a non disclosure agreement and he could
make deals with a CCP company and Gretchen Whitmer, and
he didn't have to tell his his local citizens about

(09:01):
what was going on, and it was this attitude that
government knew best and we're going to we're going to
be the saviors and we're going to deliver jobs. That
was Chuck Dalen's attitude. I am doing this for the
community and they should appreciate it. They were so arrogant,
they were so condescending, and that in it that just

(09:25):
it just made people more mad. And I think, you
know a lot of these I think these sorts of projects,
I mean, set this one aside. A lot of these
sorts of projects. If there is transparency, if there is
a community dialogue about the benefits or the drawbacks or whatever,
I think these sorts of projects can end up very differently.

(09:48):
But when you have elected officials who are operating in secrecy,
they feel like they don't have to tell their residents
about what's going on, these sorts of things happen.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
That Chuck is out of luck.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Uh. That's so, that's one of the quotes from the
chat right now. And our good friend Heather do who
is a big part of it. Ron Armstrong in the
chat too. Boys, a lot of folks that came together
to make this possible, and it's going to be impossible
to name all those names. But we'll talk to Lorie
Brock coming up here, whose horse farmers right across the
street from where they wanted to put this.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
We'll give her an opportunity to speak out as well.
And h and also Congressman Molinarn.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Maybe anybody that's listening today that that had a hand,
you want to you want to weigh in, would love
to hear from me on the phones at some times.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
Uh, during and think about think about you talk about
LORI think about how all of this sort of played out. Yes,
there was the recalls, and I mean and that was
that was monumental. But she hosted JD. Vans on the right,
right across the street from where they wanted this to happen.

(10:54):
Gram Swami, Yeah, President Trump called out Goshen by name,
called out the project by name, and and criticized it.
So this it was, it went from it went from
a story of you know, a township of a few
thousand people to this national story. And it was a

(11:16):
focal point of the CCP trying to intervene in America
government wasting our taxpayer dollars on this EV scam. So
many things and uh and so to see this happen. Finally, finally,
officially fall apart. Yesterday was a good day, unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Well, your role was huge, and I know there are
lots of other things that are happening in the state
as well, but Kyle, we'll just have to have you
back for that a little bit later. Because this is,
this is I just want to give this the do
it deserves, because folks, I want you to know that
this is how you win. This is this is a blueprint.

(11:57):
It's the master plan for how you win and take
your country back and in fact, your your city, your town,
your township, whatever it might be, your county, this is
how you do it. The people in Macosta County Green
Charter Township, and they, by the way, got an assist
from a lot of folks throughout the state who said, yeah,
we're not gonna We're not gonna roll over and allow
this to happen.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
It'd be a different story today if they hadn't.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
And uh boy, they deserve a pat on the back,
and of course you all do too, at the Midwesterner
for helping out what an amazing.

Speaker 5 (12:27):
This isn't over. This isn't over because the legislature now
has got to hold Gretchen Whitmer and the METDC.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
I agree absolutely.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
So we're publishing a story today about what legislators are
saying about it, but where is the accountability. We need
to see accountability.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
I agree.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
I want to see all of these folks investigated, every
single one of them that had a hand in this.
We had a no no rock and no stone ought
to be unturned. We got to look in underneath the filthy,
grimy underbelly of it all and make sure that we
get all the answers and hold these folks. It's no
reason this should ever ever happen again, but we've got
to follow through. Always a pleasure Kyle, Kyle Olsen the

(13:05):
Midwestern or the Midwestern or News don't just book market.
Definitely do that, but make sure you sign up for
updates there as well. You'll hear about stories like this
that you just won't hear anywhere else. We continue our
conversation Congressman Molnar on the way this morning, Laurie brockwher
they did this, By the way, you may not remember

(13:27):
all the things they did to her and her farm,
the political persecution she underwent as well, it's horrific. We'll
look back on it all coming up in just moments.
Give you a chance to join it too, on a
free for all Friday folks. But first please join us
if you're able to rise for the National Anthem.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Informative in GIJI. It's West Michigan Live with Justin Barkley
on news Radio Wood thirteen hundred and one oh six
nine a FM.

Speaker 6 (15:03):
Here are your headlines from The Midwesterner this Friday, October
twenty fourth. I'm Robin Poffman. It's a Midwesterner dot news
original story. It's an amazing development. The CCP Goshen project
is dead. The governor Whitmer funded Chinese battery maker pulling
the plug on the facility in the Costa County. The
residents of Green Charter Township can finally move on from

(15:24):
Goshen's lies and broken promises. The Midwesterner with a series
of interviews with statewide candidates and others wanting your vote
in twenty twenty six, all of the very latest from
Tom Leonard, candidate for Governor, at The Midwesterner Dot News.

Speaker 7 (15:38):
Three hundred and fifty million dollars all all donor money
and money that we.

Speaker 6 (15:42):
Put up and at the White House, President Trump fielding
reporter questions. He's asked about the costs of the new, big,
beautiful ballroom.

Speaker 7 (15:49):
It's going to cost you right in the neighborhood of
three hundred million. It's been expanded and made absolutely it'll
be the most beautiful ballroom anywhere in the world, I think.

Speaker 6 (15:58):
For these stories and more is at the midwestern Er.
At the Midwesterner dot news.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
More clips and of course the news of the day.
We'll talk about some of these stories to shut down
and answers from Congressman Molinar on the way this morning,
plus he'll talk Koashin and more coming up.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
You don't want to miss it. Lori Brock's on the
phone right now.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
She's the one with the majestic Frisian's horse farm right
across the street from where Goshen was set to be
one of the folks who fought hardest in the fight.
And Uh, like I said, just real life, everyday people. Boy,
they picked on the wrong folks in uh in Macosta County.
I know one of our friends Lur likes to likes
to say picked on the wrong rednecks is a different
breed they say, they say, Uh, it really is fascinating.

(16:48):
And I talked to you yesterday. You said, listen, when
I heard the news, I was in tears.

Speaker 8 (16:52):
Welcome at Laurie, Thank you so much.

Speaker 9 (16:55):
Thanks for having us justin absolutely even with us for
this whole ordeal. So you know what we've been through,
and you know what this means to us. So oh
my god, I can't stop smiling.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
You went through not only the everything else that the
folks in Green Charter Township and Acosta County went through,
you know, the name calling and and all of.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
That nasty stuff.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
But you know what, you also went through some other
really bad things, political persecution, You had really sick and
nasty things happened with some of your animals there in
the farm. Can you talk a little bit about that.
I don't know if everybody maybe fully knows or understands
the full story there.

Speaker 8 (17:38):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 10 (17:39):
It was awful.

Speaker 9 (17:40):
During the heat of this, we were having rallies here
at the farm, and the people pushing Goshen didn't like it.
They didn't like it at all, and they gave me
a warning one day that said, you know, you better
keep your nose in your own business or things are
going to happen around your farm that you're not going
to be real happy with and I didn't really take
the threat seriously. And then literally two days later, two

(18:03):
of our horses were poisoned. One died, one one we
were able to to fade, but that was ah, you know,
that was a direct threat, and it was you know,
they were telling me to shut up. And and they have.
They have been horrible to us. They've you know, they've
come after anyone that spoke out against goshen Uh. They
had an actual hit list. I don't want to say hitless,

(18:24):
but it was a list of people that they were saying,
we're going to make sure nobody does business with them anymore.
They had people put once their reviews on my on
my real estate company, trying to drive us out of business.
We've gone through hell, we really have, but you know
it's all worth it considering that they're gone now, you know,
they're on the way out, I should say, I guess

(18:44):
some people say they're gone. Some people say this is
the beginning of them being gone. But either way, we're
thrilled because we don't need a company in this in
this area. Why anybody would have allowed a communist company
to move in anyway? Whitmer that that surprises the heck
out of maybe because there's no way that they should
have been in our area, especially with our cybersecurity program

(19:05):
at faire US. Every thing that was why they brought
them here didn't make sense, and I don't think it
ever will make sense to me.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
But it really is. It really is something. But I
mean when I watch this all play out, I never
I really never had a doubt. I've never seen anything
like it, and I will tell you it is a
blueprint so many that it's exactly what grassroots is. People

(19:36):
that said, you know, we're just we're banding together. Now,
I know that there wasn't always unity with everyone all
the time, but for the most part, people banded together
and they said we're not going low this in our backyard.
You know, it is hard, especially folks who have I'll
just say this independent thought.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
It is hard. It's like hurting cats sometimes. But it
worked well.

Speaker 8 (20:03):
You know.

Speaker 9 (20:03):
You know the hard part about this whole thing is
we were lied to repeatedly, you know, lied to or
kept in the complete dark by NDAs or or people
that didn't even sign NDAs but decided to keep the
project quiet, so the community didn't know. In my opinion.
If you have to sneak around and do things behind
closed doors and make deals with nbas, with government government

(20:26):
officials and politicians, then you are hiding something and you
shouldn't be in our community to begin with, you know.
I mean, if you've got a new business, you should
be being upfront and transparent. And they were none of that.
And then they wondered why the people turned on, and
well that they turned on when they found out what
was happening. They kept it so quiet that only a
handful of people even knew about it until we knew

(20:49):
about it, and then when we knew about it, we
realied against it. And I think God for the Macosta
County people because they are a strong group of people
and they fought hard against this project.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
Ye so many people that I just couldn't even if
we wanted to name them all, it'd be impossible. Probably
forget somebody. But it just hats off to you all,
and we all in Michigan o a debt of gratitude
and throughout the country as well to your hard work
in the fight there.

Speaker 9 (21:12):
Thank you, Oh no problem, and we are here. Our
goal is to help other communities as well, so if
other people have problems. We are here to help, and
we're here to give you information and help you the
same way that we were helped. So we want to
let people know that it's not an end endgame. We
can help.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
Yeah, the fight's not over. It may be here at Goshen,
I may not. We'll have to wait and see how
everything plays out. But throughout the country there are more
folks that continue to fight that fight that Ford Marshall plant,
there are folks working there and throughout the country and
other places as well. Laurie, thank you so much for
all you. Then, thank you for taking the time.

Speaker 9 (21:47):
Thank you for putting us on and being here to
support us.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
My pleasure, you got it, you too. God bless LORI
block in the fight. Congressman Monar with us next going
to ask yes, this's were smack dab in the middle
of the Schumer shutdown. I called the Schumer shakedown.

Speaker 11 (22:04):
Now.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Really sad to see what happened yesterday Senate DEM's blocking
efforts to pay military and other essential workers.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
I mean, how sick does it get?

Speaker 2 (22:16):
These are the very people putting it all on the
line on a daily basis, and Democrats can't can't prioritize
getting them paid. They don't want to lose leverage in
their plotting their scheme really to get illegal aliens healthcare.
After it was all voted down and the had one
big beautiful bill, that's what it all goes back to.
And there's even more pain on the way Democrats refusing

(22:38):
to fund the government. Forty million Americans the loose snap
and food stamp benefits on November first, that's next week.
We want to talk about that coming out. Congressman Molinar's
with us right now. But one of the folks who
was one of the toughest, one of the best in
the fight, one of the best to have on your side,
a guy you'd want to be at a foxhole with.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
I can tell you that much.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
Chairman of the Slant Committee on the CCP now the
Republican of Michigan's second congressional District, Congressman John Moullinar, thank
you for taking the time and thank you so much
for everything you did in the fight.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Sarah, unbelievable.

Speaker 10 (23:11):
Well, good morning, Justin and I was honored to be
part of the team. And what an amazing group of
people in Mascosta County and around the region. Who really
had their voices heard finally, and I'm just so proud
of them the work they've done, and you know, they're
helping us be less reliant on the Chinese Communist Party.

(23:33):
You you know, we realized so many of our supply
chains were dependent on China. This was a statement that said,
let's have American jobs grow with our allies and friends
and make sure our economy is stable and resilient. And
couldn't be more proud of the people of Macosta County.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
You know, this is this is another thing that I
think folks probably and you you've you've done quite a
bit of u talk about this, educating on this throughout
the last years here. But the threat that the CCP
particularly is economically in other ways, you have a front

(24:14):
row seat to all this. It's important folks need to
kind of get a grasp on this. What would you
tell people when you get a chance to tell them
about this.

Speaker 10 (24:22):
Well, first that we want to stop funding our foremost
adversary with American taxpayer dollars. And that's why it was
so important that my legislation, the No Goshen Act, was
part of the big beautiful bill that the President signed
in the law that basically said, no, Ghoshen, you aren't
going to receive billions of American taxpayer dollars to fund

(24:44):
a Chinese company affiliated with the CCP. But there's so
many areas where our economies, our national security, human rights
are threatened by the CCP here in the United States
and around the world, and so it's important that we
be realistic about that, be clear eyed, and make sure
that our policies meet the need for the future.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Yeah, it's critical. I know President Trump has headed over
right now for some talks. I think he'll be speaking
with President she and particularly on fentanyl. This is a
big conversation. A lot of people are wondering about these
boats getting blown up on the coast of Venezuela and
some of the drugs that are coming over. A lot
of that stuff starts the precursors. At least in China,

(25:32):
they've they've played a big role in this. He's going
to be having that conversation at some point, it sounds
like in the next week or so.

Speaker 10 (25:37):
In South Korea, you know, our committee did an investigation
that showed not only was China turning a blind eye,
and it wasn't just organized crime, their government policy was
to subsidize the manufacture of chemicals precursors for fentanyl that
were then exported to the cartels and Mexico and around

(26:01):
the world. And it's a big money laundering scheme for them,
and that's poisoning uh, you know, hundreds of thousands of Americans.
And so I'm proud of President Trump for uh pushing
back on this. Some of the terriffs thaties instituted reflect that,
and uh, you know, we got to just say.

Speaker 5 (26:18):
No more of that.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Yeah, it's a it's a good definitely a good sign
to see a president who's got to handle on these
things and wants the best for the American people. Congressman
Molinar with us right now is the chair of this
uh this this special committee, the Select Committee on the CCP.
We want to talk to you. Also, we know the
House is passed. Uh, this has all been done. Republicans

(26:43):
moved it through. In fact, we we've we've got this
uh this this CR, this clean CR continued resolution that's
pretty simple. It would fund the government through part of November. Uh,
this has been out there. Democrats and the Senate have
been dragging their feet. They need sixty votes to get
it passed in the Senate to fund government so that
they can then begin actual negotiations on the next budget.

(27:08):
But until this happens, things are kind of at a standstill.
And we've seen some of the pain I just mentioned
coming into the the segment here, but we know that
they blocked efforts to pay military and other essential workers
the Democrats did, and the what I'm calling now the
Schumer shakedown, and they've they've also they've got this deal
with snap. It apparently is coming up in the next

(27:30):
week or so. This is You've had an inside sort
of seat to this front row seat to it and
a look here, what I mean this is this is incredible.
What are you hearing from people as well as Democrats
continue to dig and stomp their feet and say we're
going to put you know, the illegal aliens in front
of Americans.

Speaker 10 (27:49):
Well, it's ridiculous. And you know, probably the strongest statement
I've seen by the Democratic leadership was the Democratic whip
in the House said, yeah, we know that people are
going to suffer, but this is the leverage that we
have and we need to use it. And when you
consider they're leveraging the American people and the pain and
suffering that people are going to be experiencing just for

(28:12):
their own political agenda.

Speaker 8 (28:14):
That's just wrong.

Speaker 10 (28:15):
And I'm you know, I've been watching a Senator Fetterman,
a Democrat senator who's been voting with the Republicans because
he can't believe his own party is shutting down the
government after years of saying how wrong it is to
shut down the government just to try and get a
political win and show that they're fighting against the president.
And so it's very clear even in the you know,

(28:39):
words of our Democrat colleagues, that they're using this shut
down to leverage for their own political gain. And unfortunately,
as you mentioned, snap benefits with benefits paying our military
air traffic controllers, it's all at risk because of this.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
It really is.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
It's sad to think about it, but the this is
a this is some sort of a political calculation. And unfortunately,
you know, the thing is that Democrats, many people have
left the party to vote for President Trump and others,
and then they'll even tell you that they didn't leave
the Democrat Party. Democrat Party left them. This is a

(29:18):
perfect example of it. Off Schumer being pulled around by
the nose by the radical left wing side with AOC Mom,
Donnie and the rest of them. The things that they're
talking about that they'd like to see done. He's been
influenced by it, and it's it's ruining their party.

Speaker 10 (29:35):
Well, and I was reminded when you were speaking about
President Reagan saying, you know, he didn't leave the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Party left him. And then he started reading
Russell Kirk's work the Conservative mind. You know, Russell being
from West Michigan, and you know, look at what happened
there when you had such a strong leader who originally

(29:56):
was part of the Democratic Party, but because of their Shenanigans,
he said no more.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Yeah, Congressman Molinar are always a pleasure. Thank you for
your hand in the fight. Such a great leadership there,
and you know the people there in Green Charter Township,
Macosta County fighting in such a way that makes us
all proud throughout Michigan and and the rest of the country.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
Boy, what a great day to celebrate.

Speaker 10 (30:20):
It really is. Well, thanks so much, justin appreciate being.

Speaker 5 (30:23):
With you this morning.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Always a pleasure, sir. Thank you, Congressman John Molinar. He
is the chairman of the Select Committee on the CCP
and also the congressman for Michigan's second congressional district here.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Very influential in the fight.

you can take next. By the way, not just in

we got lots of green on the screen, the Dow up,

Why the CPI report the inflation rate hitting three percent
in September, lower than expected, long awaited, and of course
that paves away for the raid cuts and folks who

(31:43):
were I think on pins and needles waiting to see
what was going to happen there. You shouldn't be on
pins and needles, I can tell you shouldn't have to
feel like you're nauseous on that roller coaster ride. As
things get settled out in the economy. Getting back on
trek to reason why so many people are having to
fund at a herd it sleep Because see, you're close

(32:04):
to retirement, whether it's today, tomorrow, ten, twenty years down
the road, you keep an eye on this stuff.

Mike Lester and the team at Townwealth, they really do
go the extra mile. They give you all kinds of access,
exclusive tools and resources, and of course you can find

three D dot org. I think having this and having
a time of week and celebrating with faith, freedom and
American spirit.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
You know, it's interesting about this and why it's so important,
Holly is is that you know this this border conversation
under the president, so much good has taken place, but
yet there are so many things that we still need
to be aware of. I think you can get complacent,
especially as we've seen the moves of the president is

(35:41):
made to close down the border and to make sure
that our streets are safer again.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Yet we just saw the other day.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
I mean we got a guy that's driving a truck
is here illegally and the killing another three people on
the road in California. This is the second that I
I can remember of these sorts of incidents and recent memory,
and you have to wonder how many of these have
to happen for people to wake up. But they're given

(36:09):
driver's license to CDLs out there. It's a big deal
and it's a story that obviously Jason's going to be
able to shed some line up. Hey, if people again
want to get tickets to this, it's coming out. It's
on November eight. They go to m I g opthree
D dot org Holley, is that correct?

Lejune's message is going to be because that's a part
of our Marine Corps tradition. And then I run with
others Veteran Enrichment task Or Services, a newly established nonprofit organization,

(38:09):

know who we are and what kind of things we
do and how we advocated in the past for veterans
and family members and that you know, hey, our future goals,

(38:30):
this is what they are and honor some of the
following marines.
