We're talking about what matters most to you when West
Michigan joined the conversation. Now at six one six seven
seven four, twenty four twenty four. At six one six
seven seven four twenty four twenty four, it's West Michigan
Live with Justin Barklay on Wood Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
It is. It's another big day, folks. There is so
much happening. The week is just whoa bye. We got
to make sure that we're bringing up to speed and
of course big news yesterday even while we were still
on the air. I think it would do on the
after show at the time. Cutting the podcast and streaming
it live we do every day. And we got this
(00:48):
news about Trump and the census. So what's the story here.
You're gonna want to hear this because it's a big move.
It'll it'll majorly affect twenty twenty six on the.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
Way you use weather and traffic. I'm his stories of
the day.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
We are talking about what matters most in West Michigan
and beyond.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
This is the big three.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Now say three Now the stories amount of most of
you talking about this around the water tooler, the dinner
people no matter where you are power by are good
friends at Hartlett Home Mortgage, Dave Gallaway and the team
quo Obai Refi Home Equity line of Credit. They can
help you like they've helped us and many others. You're
listening to this very program as we mean save thousands.
(01:36):
I tell much Lea every time. We would absolutely faster
and quicker, better than the big bang. Number one HHM
Lending dot Com. Fifty million dollars. That's a reward for
the arrest of Nicholas Madua, Venezuelan President DJ State Department
(01:56):
just doubled down the bounty twenty five million. I believe
this goes back on January when they said that precedent
Doju and the Attorney General at pambody making that announcement yesterday,
and folks wonder why should I be concerned about that? Well,
(02:20):
they're involved in all kinds of nestings.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Eight.
Speaker 5 (02:23):
The Department of Justice and State Department are announcing a
historic fifty million dollar reward for information leading to the
arrest of Nicholas Maduro.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
By the way, yes, even election meddling and more. Number
two Bobby's down in Venezuela. But wait, speaking of which
there is more. In fact, we'll talk about this coming
up today and our podcast our good friend Mike Lindell
talking about election meddling, Trump calling for a census to
(02:58):
cut illegal aliens out of the process. The US census
will stop counting the illegal matter of fact, he wants
to read, calling on the Commerce secret Jerry Howard Lutnick
to get involved. And Senator Lyssi Slankin seems to be
all in for that radical commie speaking of communists out
of New York. Mom, dammy, she's all in. And it's
(03:24):
wild to watch is some of these democrats showing you
finally exactly who they are. She did it just the.
Speaker 6 (03:31):
Other day, as it wasn't necessarily his progressiveness, it was
his age.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (03:37):
I've said very openly that I don't I don't. I
never would be called an expert on New York City politics.
But the two messages were like a blinking red light.
How can you miss them? People are still extremely focused
on the cost of living and how they can't get ahead,
still the motivating issue. And then number two, they want
that new generation of leadership that.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
It's wild to me to watch this. By the way, uh,
that interview taking place in Michigan, Bitton Harbor of all
places there and uh, I think it was meet the Pressed.
They talked to her. Let's talk about her and then
back here in Michigan. Some of the other stories that
are making the tops of the stack for us today,
(04:19):
Gretchen Whitmer. And something that will immediately affect you in
sooner rather than later, could be this year insurance on
your car rates could jump up. What nineteen percent story
you're gonna want to hear coming up?
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Call Justin now at six one six seven seven four
twenty four, twenty four at six one six seven seven
four twenty four to twenty four West Michigan Live with
Justin Barclay on news radio Wood thirteen hundred and one
oh six nine f M.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
We've been talking about the Canadian smoke. Politicians blow and
smoke all weekend or all week rather uh And I
get some people saying, I'm tired of hearing you're talking
about there's nothing we could do about it. It's just
a defeatist attitude. It's very strange to hear that coming
from folks on the right. By the way, that's more
of a leftist ideology. Well, we're victims there's just nothing
(05:11):
we can do about it. It's just very strange. There
are lots of things that can be done. And honestly,
the reason why I'm spending so much talking about it
is because all of these things, just like what's happening
you heard slot and talking about the cost of living
in New York City has gone through the roof. Why
do you think that is? It is the leftist liberal
(05:32):
policies that led to this conditions that they're in a
New York City. And it's the leftist liberal tree hugging
policies that led to the conditions that Canada is now
in with the wildfires. Very similarly, we got another one
out in California right now. Why it's tree hugging. They
don't want to touch anything. They don't want to touch
(05:52):
the pristine forest, disturb any beetles, whatever it might be
that they're upset, owl or whatever in danger, whatever it
might be that they're freaked out about. That's what got
us in the place we're in the day now. By
the way, you notice, in this case with Canada and
the wildfires, they're telling Canadians in Canada not to leave
(06:14):
their homes.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
They've got the answers.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Again, this sounds really fit to wear a mask, don't
leave your home. Sounds familiar, doesn't it. They're saying it's
all because of climate change. Interesting, same thing in New
York City. Look, we got the answers for all the
problems that we caused. It's called communism. And here comes
mom Donny. We'll tie it all together. Do our best.
Colos and from the Midwestern to Midwestern or Dot News
(06:41):
jumping on with us this morning. Good morning, Kyle, how
are you?
Speaker 8 (06:44):
Hey? Good morning. I've been in Michigan over forty five years,
and I don't remember this Canadian smoke until what whether
it start last year or the year before, why a
couple of years back.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Yeah, I don't. It's a very good question. I mean,
I've talked to people who lived here forever, uh, and
they're the same way. Don't ever remember seeing anything, hearing
anything about it. By the way, it's not just here,
they're seeing it all across New York. Some of the
pictures you've seen as far down as New York City,
I mean, you get some of those iconic images with
(07:16):
the Statue of Liberty. But I talked to people that
have experienced it down as far as Alabama. What what what?
What is it that all of a sudden And then
then the other thing is we're supposed to accept it? Well,
this is just a new normal.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
What right?
Speaker 8 (07:31):
And and it's you know, the people sort of wagging
their finger at at Canada started. You know, John James
wrote a letter. I don't know what a letter is
going to do, and then he put out a video
talking about why they're not why they're going to ignore
the letter. But and I just thought, and other people
have said other things, and but I thought, well, who
(07:53):
is actually going to do something? I mean, there's a
lot of politicians love to complain, they love to put
out videos, they love to fire off letters, and we
see that, you know, for a variety of things. Well,
when is somebody actually going to do something? I was
up at mackinaw earlier this week for a couple of
days and you know, we're sitting at the Grand Hotel
(08:15):
and you can't see the mackinaw Bridge. And it's not
because of you know, haze or whatever else. It's the smoke.
And somebody should do something. And I don't know who
that's going to be, but you would think somebody would
do something other than just saying, well, I sent a letter.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
I think Trump could put a tariff on it. Put
a terraf on the smoke coming in. That'll stop it
real quick, one hundred percent tariff on the smoke. Of course,
I don't think I'm joking, because somebody will take that seriously.
I do think that's part of the coin.
Speaker 8 (08:48):
But the Trump administ sorry, but the Trump administration. There
was sewage that was coming from Mexico into southern California,
and they got that stopped, and the Trump administration did
something about that. And here we've got smoke that's coming
into our country and polluting our air, and they can
(09:09):
do something about it. And I'm not demanding that they do.
I'm just saying somebody can do something and right now.
And where's Gretchen Whitmer. She supposedly is in that environment. Yeah,
and she's silent. Where's Dana Nessel? She she's going she
wants to violate a treaty over line five and yeah,
(09:32):
and yet she's silent about this.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
You know, that's a perfect example. I've been talking about
how she's busy shutting down coal plants that we need
here right and and and ensuing everybody and and I
just there's nothing on this and I think it's just
kind of strange. It's kind of odd to me. But
I think the treaty in line five is even a
better example, because that is that is uh, it's a
definitely Canadian issue. So there you go, there you have it.
(09:56):
What what what? Uh? What can what can be Yeah,
let me ask you that what can be done? If
something were going to be done? And how do you
get a hold of the Trump administration to get this
up on their radar, because you know, to their credit,
there's so much. In fact, I got a whole list
here today. I want to go through a little bit later,
but in the first two hundred days, you know, and
if you look at the accomplishments, they're massive. Is this
(10:19):
just part of that conversation that takes place between him
and the folks in Canada saying, look, you know you
got the fitnel coming over. Now, you've got to do
something about this smoke. We're going to help you, will
give you a little we'll give you some help and resources.
By the way, people are commenting on that as if
that was never going to happen, that that's a thing
that's just well, it' that'll just never happen. How are
(10:39):
they going to help? Well, they already have a great
Legs compact that does pledge our resources. Some from Michigan
are actually there right now helping out.
Speaker 8 (10:50):
Yeah, I guess that you can either you can either
use a character or a stick, and we're both or both.
We've got how many how many Republican members of Congress
do we have from Michigan? Five or six? And the
governor apparently was in the Oval Office meeting with the
President on Tuesday, I think it was Monday or Tuesday.
(11:14):
According to her, this was not on the list of
things to talk about, even though you know she loves
to be up at mackinaw So. I don't know. You
would just think somebody would try and do something. And
he's got a lot of a lot of leverage, But
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Going back to this, going back to this, the issue
of why we're here right now. We got one hundred
million dollars, it's just sitting and lancing that's supposed to
go to cleaning up the ice storm. Look, we can
have the same issue here in Michigan next year with
a fire from coast to coast because of all that
tender that's just sitting and not getting cleaned up, and
(11:54):
there's money to get it done, to help people up there,
and it's just sitting in the Senate, Democrats are holding on, said,
they're sitting on their hands right now.
Speaker 8 (12:03):
Yeah, I getting to Mcinawe. I drove through Gaillard, we
stopped in Gaylared and I mean, you can see the
evidence of the ice storm still and we published a story,
was it last week or two weeks ago that even
all these months later, forty some percent of the trails
(12:24):
are still blocked. And yet you know, Whitmer was up
there with her carhart jacket on and she was going
to be in charge of the cleanup, and she's you know,
she's now disappeared. And so the House passed one hundred
million dollars, fifty million of it was from the FEDS
(12:44):
to help with the cleanup. And ninety days ago and
this then, the Michigan Senate has not passed the relief.
I don't know if it's because you know, they don't
care about Republican areas, or they've got other things to do.
They're not passing a budget, so I'm not exactly sure
what they're doing. But it was very obvious that you
(13:07):
know this, this was a massive ice storm that happened.
Gailared north and it's got to be you know. And
it was through no fault of the people who lived there, right,
and it was a major disruption for their lives. And
you know, and these are one of those times where
I think we owe it to, you know, help and
(13:29):
the House has helped. And now it's sitting in the
Senate where Winnie brings from Grand Rapids. I'm not sure
what she's doing.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
We've got another story out here, in fact, I believe
it's in the report today at the Midwesterner. But it
seems like insurance rates could go. This is something that
you're going to feel immediately here in the next few
months or so. It sounds like maybe in the next year.
Thanks Whitmer, the Wolverine Queen may be responsible for another disaster.
Michigan car insurance rates could spike another night teen percent
(14:00):
by years in on top of the fact that drivers
have already had to pay the eighth highest in premiums
in the nation. Incredible story. And you know, talk about
you know, the cost of living and what it's like here.
This is just another one of these scenarios with the
state that it's just hard to believe that, you know,
(14:21):
they're talking about not getting trying to reverse population the climbrate,
how about not scaring people off in the first place.
Speaker 8 (14:28):
Well, exactly. We published the story last week where Michigan
health insurance holders could see a double another double digit
increase at double digit increase last year, and the Whitburn
administration has the power to approve or disapprove those increases.
(14:52):
And now we've got a story where we could see
a Michigan drivers could see a nineteen percent increase in
insurance premiums auto insurance premiums because of a number of factors.
But the point is it's we have a I mean,
one of the biggest issues is the no fault system
where you cannot be you know, it's possible to not
(15:14):
you know, be responsible for an accident, but yet your
insurance is still going to pay. And the and the
Democrats and the Republicans and Lansing tried to do this
auto fix in twenty nineteen. It was one of the
big things that whit Mo ran on. She claimed it
was going to sort of get these costs under control.
(15:35):
Hasn't really done that it's so bad that the media
and Detroit household spends one out of every seven dollars
that they earn on car insurance. So this is a
massive problem. And so when we talk about population decline,
we talk about, you know, a variety of issues. This
is why people don't want to come to Michigan. Because
(15:56):
if you have whitmer is trying to lure these massive
companies come to Michigan. They have entire departments that analyze
where we're going or where we potentially will go, and
they look at the education system, they look at cost
of living, they look at taxes, they look at property costs,
et cetera. And when they're looking at because then they
(16:19):
have to try and recruit workers and not just from
in the state but from out of state. And so
but if someone is looking at the state and they're
seeing the education system is in the bottom ten, there's
you know, massive increases going on with health insurance, massive
increases going on with car insurance. All of these sorts
(16:41):
of things, people say, why would I move to Michigan.
And so the governor has this grow Michigan Council, which
is itself projecting we could lose another seven hundred thousand
people by twenty fifty, which is another It's a massive,
steady decline, and I think it's it's fairly obvious Gretchen
(17:02):
Whitmer has not done anything to actually grow the state
of Michigan over the last six or seven years. She's
managing our decline. And we need a governor who is
serious about solutions to actually grow our state. So we
are thriving again.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Kyle Olsen from the Midwestern or the Midwestern or not,

Speaker 5 (19:09):
Here are your headlines from the Midwesterner this Friday, August eighth.
I'm Robin Poffman, it's a Midwesterner Dot News original story
Governor Whitmer's Democrat policies doing nothing to help drivers here
in Michigan, and analysis shows car insurance rates here could
jump by nineteen percent.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
By the end of this year.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
Michigan drivers are already paying the eighth highest auto insurance
rates in the country. In other news, the Department of
Justice warning East Lansing about its sanctuary city policies. US
Attorney General Pambondi saying that sanctuary policies are impeding law
enforcement and putting American citizens at risk.
Speaker 2 (19:45):

Speaking of getting into it, this drops tomorrow. It is
a preview of what you will hear when our podcast
exclusive with Mike Lindell, owner of My Pillow. He's got
some election integrity updates. You'll hear some of that in
the conversation and some things Mike's never done or even
(20:56):
shared with anyone else coming up tomorrow when it drops,
but you can hear it now partially some of it anyway,
talk about a couple of things. First and foremost. I
know that our listeners are very First of all, they're
just really grateful for all you've done. I think there
are lots of folks throughout the country who may not
(21:17):
even know, but all you've done to stand up for
this country, the country you love and everything you've really sacrificed.
So first and foremost, let's start with that thank you.
And I know I know our folks would want to
make sure you hear.
Speaker 6 (21:30):
That well, thank you, And I you know I give
the glory to God. But it's it's been with My
pill being the most attacked company in history the last
four and a half years and all the attacks we've
we've been able to get through with everybody's support and
prayers out there, and I want to thank you back
for all of that and in supporting my company, my
(21:52):
employee owned company. But we're coming out. We're coming out
now that I believe we're getting through, and we were
going to be very proactive now going forward to secure
our elections in the twenty twenty sixth election. Get rid
of the machines, good to paper ballots, hand counted, where
we need to get to.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
It seems to me such a reasonable, such a common
sense answer. And you bring this up, Mike. We talk
with Pat Colbeck, who I know works with you pretty closely,
is a great friend here in Michigan. And Pat said,
he said, we got some big news coming. And I
just I talked to folks today and I said, well,
this is massive. The DOJ is opened a nationwide investigation
into cleaning up the dirty rolls. Now, this is what
(22:34):
I told people. I said, first and foremost, President Trump
is doing so many things, all of these great things,
but none of it matters unless we get this taken
care of. First. None of it matters unless we do this.
And you told me. You know it was interesting. Mike
set off here. Oh no, no, that's that's just part
of the big announcement.
Speaker 6 (22:54):
That's right, and you just you said it right. I've
been saying it for four and a half years. The
president I all the time, and he knows him and
I have been in perfect lockstep sake. And as far
as we've got to get rid of the electronic voting machines,
like one hundred and another one hundred and thirty two
countries have banned computers and electronic voting machines in their elections,
(23:18):
and he wants to get the same day voting paper
ballots hand county and all people do. I just had
a gallon a restaurant yesterday and she goes and she's said,
we went in to eat my wife and I and
she says, in front of the whole restaurant, she goes, Mike,
you know you're a really nice guy, but you know
you're on the wrong team. And I go, I don't
know what team that is, I said, And what you mean,
(23:41):
We're all on the same team. We're all God's children.
And I said, I don't care what party you're in.
I said, my whole cause has been to secure our
elections because everything else won't matter if we don't secure
our elections. Now, I told the President the other day,
just a couple of weeks ago, when I was in
the in the Oval office there, and I said, I said, sir,
I said, I promise you. I said, We're gonna do
(24:04):
everything we can. And of course he is from the
top down, and and I said, we're gonna do everything
we can to make sure that we get these elections
secure so that these next four years are not in
vain or just a blip in history, because it all
goes away. Everybody all it nothing else matters if you
don't if you have selections instead of elections. We all
(24:26):
went through that in the last four years. We all
learned what can happen when you steal, when you steal elections.
And everyone says, well, I just got another comment the
other day attacking me, going, well, Mike Gee, all of
a sudden, there was no election crime in the twenty
twenty four election because your friend Donald Trump won. I said, no,
(24:47):
that's not true. There was. There was nine congressman stole,
nine members of the House stold for centers stole. And
remember everybody, this isn't a Republican or Democrat thing. This
is a uniparty thing. Who's take making our country is
the uniparty deep stake Global and the CCP. You're going
to see so much coming out here about China and
(25:08):
the CCP involved in our elections. You've already heard about
the ballots and all this other stuff. What the But
the piece that you're seeing coming out right now, like
I said, it's just a small part of this actually
is the voter roles in this country. Now. I've been
selling the alarm for four and a half years. You've
got a state like Wisconsin where there's seven point two
million names on their voter rolls. If everybody voted that
(25:32):
could register and vote in Wisconsin, it's a little over
four million. You have three million other names on there.
Why and guess where they're at. Everybody they're in the computer.
It's like having it's having a thing you can pull from.
You need that product to pull from when you're when
you're doing that, when you're putting in all these names,
when you're putting in names there to steal the election
(25:53):
with the computer that you take, you have to take
that away. And by the way, justin when they put
all these things in and then clean the roles and there,
and these roles have been so dirty. And then they
have all these things that were put in back with
the China virus. When they did this and put in
there you can vote them, you know, two months early
(26:14):
and stuff like Minnesota, you can all these were all
that was done illegally. Everybody and uh and the only
one that fought it was Ken Paxon, Attorney general in Texas,
and he won all twelve cases, so they didn't have
months early voting down in Texas every other state. Now
you've added another way to cheat with the with the computers.
(26:34):
Remember it all goes back to the vote the machines.
But you need these early voting and all these other
things so you can so you can get all these
be able to combine them all and you steal it
without even realizing your elections stold because you're going, well,
that doesn't make sense. That's what the machines tell us.
(26:55):
You know, I went through all this and by the way,
only thirteen states have reverted back to prior to the
China virus. But the rules that were in place, they
were all done illegally. That the legislatures make the laws,
not the crooked Secretary of States in this country. So
we've got so many things going on. And but I'll
(27:16):
tell you if the last four and a half years,
if they like the president I have talked, if Donald
Trump would have been put back in then back in
right after the twenty twenty election with all the fraud,
we would have lost our country forever because we needed
to find out these last four and a half years
so much that it was revealed. We had to have
(27:39):
those four and a half years. Even him in power
has to have to have that. You learned twenty twenty
election will go down as the most important election I
believe in history.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
Mike. Let me ask you about that, because you're you're
kind of tapping into something there and is there is
a bit of a seems like a divine intervention and I,
I don't know. To me, I just look at it.
I think it's undeniable if you look at everything the
way that it played out. What we know now. I
tell everyone we're in the find out era. They have that,
you know, fool around and find out what I like
(28:11):
to call it, right, We're gonna find out era? And
really what that means is I think everything's being revealed.
It is we are here for such a time as
this President Trump, that millimeter miracles, our good friend Pastor
School likes to call it. All of it is just
too hard to I think it takes more faith to
believe all that's just coincidence and to believe that God
was playing a role there.
Speaker 6 (28:32):
Well, this is what we were up against when they
tried to cover up the biggest crime in history. You know,
we broke through the biggest cover up of the biggest
crime in history. We broke through the cover up, and
it took over four years to break through that. You know,
for myself personally, when I was backs on the arm
in January of twenty twenty one, and I'm going to
(28:54):
backtrack a little bit there when you talk about divine intervention,
and I was in on January fourth of twenty twenty one,
I was down in Georgia with the President. I believe
it was January fourth, and it was the rally for
the two senators. Remember that was the big race. It
(29:14):
was a runoff race between with the two senators and
we had to win one of them to hold the Senate.
And I'm down there and all of a sudden, I go,
you know what, I started praying to God, Please, God,
have them steal both senators. And everyone's going, what, why
would you do that? Well, here's why. By that time,
if I was the evils marketer, if I was the
(29:35):
marketer for them, they were already found out that their
devices that come to the voting machines, they were caught.
They were caught. By the twenty twenty election. Every they
were caught, And if I was their advice, they said,
you know what, give them back a Republican So they
shut up about this election. Had they done that, If
they would have done that, people wanted to listen. They said, hey,
(29:56):
we still have the Senate. Let's get them back in
twenty twenty two. Well, campaign harder, but they did. They
were greedy and praise the Lord, they stole them both.
Because you know what, everybody went, wait, maybe there was
fraud in this election. We need to do something. Well,
the evil had another plan. They had January sixth planned out.
So on January sixth that when that went down January
(30:21):
seventh and eighth, or two of the most important days
in history, everybody one point two million Americans were deep
platformed on January seventh and eighth of twenty twenty one,
if you spoke out about the vaccine, if you spoke out,
spoke for Jesus Christ, or if you spoke out about
the elections. So our voice went down to this little
(30:42):
tiny dot. I compared to it when I was growing up,
a dot on a tee black and white TV. You'd
turn it off. It would go to a real small
and we'd turn it back on its kids. It would
come back to life. Well, if everyone else, by the way,
was a prey to speak out, parlor got wiped off
the face of the earth because it was a competition
to suck a buck. Facebook and Jack Dorsey's crook and Twitter. Now,
(31:03):
when that happened at the same time on January seventh,
John Radcliffe, the head of the D and I, came
out with a report and saying, hey China, we have
problems with China and the election. But it got lost
to the news. They didn't want to cover that. So
our voice, you guys, that dot didn't go out though.
That's where I've told the president right now we have
we after four and a half years now, our voice
(31:26):
has gotten bigger. We have great podcasts like yourself justin
we have we have platforms all these you have a
Truth Social Vocal, you have Telegram, get Her Gab, the
new Elon's Acts, you have even sucker Bucks Facebook. They
don't cover up stuff anymore. So our voice has gotten bigger.
(31:46):
So now when these things come out, we can be
proactive and report these things that are coming. But it
took people needed to see the bad over the last
four years before they could.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
You know, it's I like seeing the light Mike Lindell
and it is. It's a full podcast by the way
we did. It's nearly an hour with Mike, and he
really broke some bombshells when it comes to election integrity.
Talked about some of the fight, the back behind the
scenes story that you never get to hear, his faith
in the role that it plays in the whole thing,
(32:20):
and it is. It's a fascinating conversation. It'll drop tomorrow
for everyone all over the place on every platform. We
have the iHeartRadio app wherever you download your podcast or
you can see it now. It's up on locals. If
you want to watch the full thing, it's for free
justin barklay dot com, slash locals, but Mike Lindell, very
very fascinating conversation, one that I was thrilled to be
(32:43):
able to have with him in one. I think more
coming up in the future. As he said, I think
even the stories we've seen by the way, this census
thing might be part of it. But I think we're
just barely even seeing the big news stories coming up
about election integrity. Hang on to your head, folks, back
(33:04):
with you. You're going to join the conversation at any
time next six one, six, seven, seven, four, twenty four,
