Speaker 1 (00:00):
John Mattaree, jm Angel.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
This kid, Chris and Sarah.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
The holiday season is here. What are we serving up?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
We're talking spongebomb and the Grinch?
Speaker 1 (00:12):
How about that? Oh yeah, Burger.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
King has just come out with its SpongeBob bikini bottom
Holiday meal, and McDonald's has come out with its Grinch
Holiday Meal, and we decided to put them to the test.
My fellow reporter, Taylor Nimo and I each bought one
of the meals and then we compared them and checked
them out and said, well, what do you get in them?
And are they worth the money? So the McDonald's meal,
(00:37):
this is the Grinch meal for the holidays. It gives
you basically a big mac happy meal. You got a
big mcafries, a coke, and then they throw on a toy.
But instead of a toy, you get a pair of
socks and you got.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
The bear that I want. I want those blue Grinch socks,
Oh little.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Blue ones with Cindy lu Who on them.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
You gain't your big while you wear your socks.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
That's the Grinch meal. You also get a green salt
to put on the fry so the fries look like
the Grinch. Now over Burger King. It is the SpongeBob
Bikini Bottom Meal, and it's the SpongeBob Bikini Bottom Meal
for the holidays. And this was really cool because you
actually get a bunch of food themed to SpongeBob. They
(01:23):
give you a yellow whopper so it looks like SpongeBob.
The color is yellow yellow. It's made with a yellow
flower and it's supposed to be like a crabby patty.
You get that. Then you get a cute little treasure chest.
It's a cardboard treasure chest, looks like mister Crabs and
it's filled with tater tots with bacon, so that's kind
(01:44):
of fun. And then you get Patrick's pink Pie. It's
kind of like a creamy pie and it's pink Lake Patrick.
You get that. And then you get actually.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
A what about that pineapple drink? Yeah the flow?
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah, yes, pineapple float. So you get a lot of
really unique items seemed to SpongeBob with your with your
Burger King meal, which is nice because it's not just
a basic moper. Everything seemed the SpongeBob. Now you don't
get toy, but you get all that extra food.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Which one would you recommend?
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Oh, that's a tough call. I always loved SpongeBob. I've
always been a big pay I can answer so much
SpongeBob trivia. For instance, what's the name of SpongeBob's pet.
It's pet? What's its name? Yeah, Gary is? And who's
his best friend? Who's not Patrick Squid Sandy Cheeks?
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Sandy Cheeks, that's his girl. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Nemesis is Nemesis is Squidwards.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
What word is my Yeah, he's my spirit animal. Like
always in a mood, thought that John is a SpongeBob fan.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
This is scream a huge oue Bob fan. Oh watched
it for years, So you know, if you're a big
SpongeBob fan, that's the meal. If you're just looking for
a good value by far the McDonald's grinch fial, you
get those cool socks? Socks?
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Are you wearing them right now with your suit?
Speaker 2 (03:15):
John, I'm gonna wear those socks to our morning meeting,
cross my leg. Yeah, and see if anybody notices you should.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
John, would you ever, because you have a dog, would
you ever sprinkle the green salt on your toes and
let the dog look it off?
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Oh wow, that's getting a little kinky there.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
So all right, well John, Wow, that's what a great
what a great holiday one? This is perfect.

Speaker 1 (04:47):

Speaker 3 (04:48):
So mad that you didn't have any communication with me
whatsoever about Hey, I'm going to bring in your gift
because I've got your sitting at my house. It's wrapped
and ready to go, and I'm like, we're doing this Friday.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
I don't worry about my gift. Well now I am,
because I can't give you. Are you going to tell
me about it? You got to rush out and go
buy one right literally sitting at home.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
You'll see it tomorrow and understand that this was not
a last minute decision. So anyways, aside from that, in Oklahoma,
we have a dog making the headlines.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
His name is Ozzy.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
His family says they're big fans of Ozzy Osbourne, so
there you go.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
You never know.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
He's a four year old Mastiff mix. Family says they've
had him since he was just a baby. But notice
something really abnormal about him as he was getting older.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Let me see if I can pull up his pick.
He just did a bunch of drugs and eight bad heads.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Yep, just like their hero. He has an abnormally, abnormally
large tongue.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
Oh those are always funny than when I have those
dogs when they just walk around with a crooked out
of the side.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
Of the mouth. That's the thing.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
It's so big that it just hangs out side of
his mouth and I'm like, dude, is he thirsty?
Speaker 4 (06:09):
Because why don't humans get that'd be funny the TLC
would have a show like about those people.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
That does happen to some people for different reasons. So
he was just crowned the gunness world record holder for
the longest tongue coming in. It's seven point eighty three inch.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
That's funny, they get crowned, They get crowned. When you're
a human, you get a show on TLC.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
You could win win. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
So record was previously held by a dog named Rocky
from Illinois at five point six'.

knew you could set one for a long tongue as
a dog like? This AND i guess they measure it
from the end of the snout to the tip of
his tongue Because i'm, like how do you hold onto
that thing to get it?
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Measured? Yeah, yeah that's that's the WAY i measure my you.
Speaker 5 (07:18):

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Mean The pick family says his abnormally long tongue doesn't
cause any. Issues they were, like his tongue is just
always stuck outside of his mouth and with a, baby
that's What i'm. Thinking i'm, like do they have to
spray that thing with like a water gun to keep it?

this dog for you real.

they clip the The, oh give it a. Crown, no

Speaker 1 (08:41):

THOUGH i know these idiots will clip like a dog's
like vocal cords because it marks too much or.
Speaker 6 (08:50):
Whatever.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
TERRIBLE i don't know with that at all, Either BUT

Family this little dog could be capable of all kinds of.
Things The pick family says he doesn't even give. Kisses
he just kind of gets in your face and rubs
his nose all over.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
W there's things in, school like when you go to high.
SCHOOL i graduated IN i think it was a ninety
two and a half something like. THAT i want to
stay a little longer because you, KNOW i just blew
off a bunch of. CLASSES i, MEAN i was horrible at,
school horrible. STUDENT i did. DO i did great WHEN
i went To Onondaga Community college for my little. TIME
(16:56):
i was going there because if you were just told
in high school you gotta go to, college, WELL i
don't know WHAT i want to, do you still gotta
go figure. Out when you go, there it's, like well
that's a waste of.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
Cash that was how my parents. Were there wasn't even an.
Option they were, like you were going to.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
College, yeah so uh BUT i did great because it's
like the teachers didn't. Care they're like the professor's because they're,
like you're, paying it's your own. Dime, yeah you just
sit there if you. Want SO i just sat there
in class AND i took everything. IN i didn't take
notes or, anything and AS i, WATCHED i just crushed
it in all the tests and.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
Everything but in high school they would scream at you
if you didn't take.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
Notes so the whole, Time i'm writing down, stuff But
i'm not taking in What i'm. Writing What i'm writing,
down you know WHAT i. Mean it's too busy concentrating
When i'm.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Writing everybody learns. Differently, yeah but they just yelled at.
You but, yeah college is a fresh. Start they're treating
you like an actual, adult and you get to study
what you want to.
Speaker 9 (17:47):
Study SO i didn't stay that. Long there's so long,
ago but they didn't you, Know but now they don't
teach you the right. Things like we were off the area, Yesterday.
Sarah we were talking about like an home ac. Class
they teach you dumb stuff like how to so a.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Pillow NOW i had to DO i had to learn
how to bake chocolate chip. Cookies AND i was telling
you and our Boss, RHINO i had to sew a ladybug.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Pillow that was the final. Project and when was the
last time we did that in? Life twenty? Years?
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Exactly knowing, SKILLS i do think that everyone should have
some sort of basic sewing.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Skill but DO i think it's.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
The most important thing that you should take away from. College,
NO i think homeps should be treated totally.
Speaker 4 (18:29):
Differently, yeah what, LIKE i, Mean i'm trying to think
of WHAT i wish they taught me in, school BECAUSE i,
mean it's been so long SINCE i left school and
like had to navigate and learn things.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Round my, GOD i wish you taught me.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
That, earlier balancing your, finances being smart with.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Money, yeah they certainly didn't do.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
That uh.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
UH i think they rely on the parents for that.
One tell you what you want to.
Speaker 4 (18:53):
Hear something funny that they taught me in school THAT
i didn't know, about and it was the only THING
i perked up in in economics class was there used
to be people my age will remember. This there used
to be this thing where you would get in the
mail where if you if you taped a penny to the,
envelope you would get like free cassettes sent to your
house of your favorite bands for a.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Penny, yeah that's. Interesting and then at the end of
the year you would get this bill for like three hundred.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
Bucks oh, yeah of course.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
If it's too good to be true then but then
you hear it's.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
True but in an economics, class the teacher taught us, that,
listen but if you're under, eighteen they can't get the
money out of you because you're not an. Adult you're
legally not bound to a. Contract so all the way through,
CLASS i kept, going you're telling, me Because i'm, Sixteen
i'm not bound to this at, All like they can't
(19:47):
hit my parents or. Anything they're, like, well, no not
your name's on. It not, technically technically they can't get.
You So i'm all, like, Oh i'm doing. This that's
the only THING i.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
Learned, also credit. Scores do we knew anything about a credit?
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Score? NO i still don't really.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
Understand and it's funny because just when you think you're
getting your credit, up it's, like, oh it went.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Down that doesn't make any.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
Sense on this thing, here like what skill everything should?
Learn everybody should learn before. Thirty the first thing on
here is personal, finance, budgeting, saving, investing understanding, credit living
within your.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
MEANS i did all. That living within your means is so.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
Important, YES i did all that leaving BECAUSE i saw
the way my dad had to deal with something being
out of work for a couple of.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Years, YEAH i feel like you have to learn about
all of those things because we're left in a bad.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
Situation, yeah you serve the store on. It yeah you're,
forced but you should learn that going in.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
So that way you don't end up in those bad.
Situations cooking basic.
Speaker 4 (20:45):
MEALS i never learned that because my dad would come
home and, go what's for?
Speaker 3 (20:48):
Dinner what's a basic. Meal, anyways what's basic to you
might not be to.
Speaker 10 (20:53):
Me.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
Yeah basic was my dad, going what do we have
it scrambling some eggs or to do. THAT i know
how to fry.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
Boloney, OH i could go for some from boloney right
now you're on the.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
Air.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Yo.
Speaker 6 (21:08):
Yeah so coming from somebody who's taken, VOCATIONS i think
we need earlier entry to figure out what height school
kids and kids like that need to.
Speaker 8 (21:19):
DO i totally agree that we need more skills introduced
in the children's.

inside of a.
Speaker 4 (21:36):

never see him again until it was time to get
on the. Bus and they were the State New york

a buddy that wants to teach me how to build
barns And i'm almost. Thirty it's Like I've i've been
wrenching SINCE i was seventeen sixteen with vocational, School so it's,

MAN i don't know about new, skill but you always
(23:12):

up something, SMALL i can get.
Speaker 8 (23:16):
Good at it and maybe make something of it.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
Crying oh, now she's gonna watch my wiener dog sleep
all day.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
From one to.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
Another, hey A tv and The kid Christ, Show, Sarah,
elise it's a special. Moment we have some special guests
in the studio AND i know you're psyched about.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
It the world is.
Speaker 4 (34:43):
Psyched but it's for a special cause and you want
to go ahead and do the introduction for?
Speaker 3 (34:49):
Us, yes all thanks to our friends At Cincinnati. Mini
now Through january, second you can take advantage of brilliant
offers like zero point nine PERCENT apr up to forty eight,
months one thousand dollars purchase, credit and no payments for
up to ninety.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
Days let's. Mimmy please hold to the sponsors there we.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
Go but, yes in our thirty fifth year of this,
event The Marty Girl Benefiting Homeless children is returning On,
Tuesday february seventeenth at The Northern Kentucky Convention, center and this,
year for the very first, time The Joe Burrow foundation
is going to be serving as the presenting sponsor for the.
(35:28):
Event so joining us in studio we Have Gordy, snyder
the founding chairman of the, Event Robin, burrow the secretary
of The Joe Burrow, foundation and our Friend Jimmy, burrow
THE vp of The.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Foundation welcome to. Studio, yes thanks for Having and they
brought a whole crew with.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
Him, yes Because Jimmy, burrow that sounds like a mob.
Name so you brought the whole crew with. You who
knows all?
Speaker 3 (35:52):
Right sometimes he's LIKE i can get into mob mode
at any.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Moment, right when did you start this? Thing was thirty
five years? Ago? Yeah so what was the whole like
the beginning of, it what was the whole? Mindset, well
the whole mindset was thirty six years.
Speaker 5 (36:10):
Ago there were about four children, locked homeless children locked
in a garage and those four, children ACTUALLY i guess
somehow set fire inside the garage and it burnt.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
Down they all, Perished.
Speaker 5 (36:22):
And so studies came out from The Cincinnati Public School
system that said during the course of a year there
could be as many as ten or twelve thousand homeless
children throughout the. Year so The Northern Kentucky Restaurant association
decided to do what they could do to help and
started The Marti Garas Benefiting Homeless.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Children.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
Wow, wow one event kicked off this whole, thing, yep
and it's been going strong for all that.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
Time we're already up.
Speaker 5 (36:47):
To about two point nine million rays for homeless children's
shelters and this year we hoped to go over three.
Million and we're excited to have The Joe Burrow foundation
as part of a part of the.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Event of, Course, Yeah, robin what does this mean to
you to be involved with an event like.
Speaker 10 (37:03):
This we're so excited to be the presenting sponsor this.
Year with The Joe Burrow, foundation we focus on providing
resources and support to the underprivileged and underserved and focusing
on food in security and youth mental, health and certainly
homeless children are very much affected by those two elements
(37:25):
of our, mission so we're very excited to be a
part of the event and support specifically in the area
of food and. Security but we certainly know that homelessness
and food in security contribute to youth mental.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Health so, yes, yeah it's great to be a part
of the.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
Event, yeah and talking To Joe, BURROW i, mean he's
really adamant about getting mental health in. Check so is
that kind of his inspiration behind starting The Joe Burrow.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
Foundation, well it all started with His heisman.
Speaker 12 (38:01):
Speech there were about thirty one seconds where he addressed
food insecurity In Southeast. Ohio so after that he realized
he had a platform to, help and so did we
as a. Family and children's always been a big part
of the emphasis with The Joe Burrow, foundation and so
(38:22):
that's how it really all all got. Started and anything
to do With Marty graw And louisiana we like also
really it is AND i, said everything that we do
has to do with food, insecurity children's mental, health and
As robin, said homelessness with the children is a big
(38:45):
part of both of.
Speaker 1 (38:45):
THOSE i love.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
That so with this, partnership how many meals will be
provided meals?
Speaker 10 (38:50):
Alone, well the presenting sponsor is a twenty five thousand dollars.
Donation so depending on the resources that are available and
obviously the prices of food that will be, variable but
we're hoping to make a big.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
Impact, yeah you guys are doing a great.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
THING i MEAN i see The Joe Burrow foundation very
involved in the. COMMUNITY i mean it's a NonStop. Process
everywhere you guys are.
Speaker 4 (39:14):
Going how many when you first had a hurricane down?
There how many did you have first time the?
Speaker 12 (39:24):
Hurricane yeah At Ryan, yeah too, many.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
Too, many because they do that.
Speaker 4 (39:31):
First the first TIME i went down in an Upstate New,
YORKER i was, like these are, nothing AND i had like,
THREE i, think and then all of a, sudden you're
it slams.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
You, yeah have to drink though. Slowly, yeah nobody told me.
That and it Was.
Speaker 12 (39:44):
August Cattle ryan's is a good.
Speaker 1 (39:48):
Place, yeah is that what it? IS i don't remember.
Speaker 12 (39:51):
Hurricanes that's quite the.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
Play how often do you go back to that, spot
like to that.
Speaker 12 (40:00):
Area, well part of The joe's the emphasis with the
foundation That joe wanted to concentrate and give back to
was not Only Southeast ohio And, cincinnati but Also Baton.
Rouge so we have a separate board In louisiana as
opposed to another board here In ohio And Amy, floyd
(40:20):
who's here with us as the executive director and supervisors
both of. Them so we have events down there just
as we do, here not quite as. Many we usually
try to make sure it's around a big game Like
alabama or, somebody but somebody like, That but we spend
a lot of time down, there have a lot of
(40:41):
friends and certainly a lot of fans Of joe And
louisiana and.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
My dad AND i traveled to that spot for A
bengals game a couple of years, ago and lots of
people Wearing joe's And jamar's jerseys from THE lsu.
Speaker 12 (40:56):
Days they were torn that day between rooting For New,
orleans but When joe Hit jamar for the kind of
the winning, touchdown the fans kind of went a little.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
Crazy that cd happened right in front of, us.
Speaker 1 (41:10):
Right right.
Speaker 2 (41:12):
For.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Joe he does a lot of great things on the
field and you, know all around in the. Community and
AGAIN i love everything that he stands for with food
and security and mental.
Speaker 1 (41:21):
Health the mental health.
Speaker 4 (41:22):
THING i want to thank you, guys because no dudes
talk about that not enough dudes talk about.
Speaker 10 (41:27):
That it's really important to help break the stigma and
to get people talking about it and let kids know
it's okay to really bring it up if they're not feeling.
Speaker 4 (41:36):
Okay so as a this, generation it's it's a lot
more open.
Speaker 5 (41:40):
Now.
Speaker 4 (41:41):
Uh and then like with T higgins going through what
he's going, THROUGH i think it's very good that they
took them back off the field BECAUSE i.
Speaker 1 (41:48):
Mean you don't know what he's going to be dealing
with later. ON i mean he's still a young.
Speaker 10 (41:52):
Guy he's very, young and you, know certainly had trauma
is a big deal and you can't you can't be too.
Speaker 12 (42:00):
Careful, Yeah AND i partnered With nationwide children to develop
some some things if.
Speaker 1 (42:07):
You go To Joe burrow dot.
Speaker 12 (42:09):
Org it's called The Borough blueprint and addresses some mental
health issues and working with Hopefully Cincinnati Children's, yeah to
bring that more emphasis on that in the.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
Area that's so.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
Great you guys are just growing and expanding everywhere and
doing so much.
