Speaker 1 (00:00):
Broncos making moves prior to today's deadline to have the
rosters trimmed down to fifty three players and joining.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Us now on the KWA Common Spirit Health Hotline, host
of Broncos Countries, a host of KWA Sports that is,
and Broncos React. It's Ryan Edwards. Ryan, thank you so
much for joining us again this morning. Okay, so we
had a list of a few players that we saw
let go yesterday and today obviously more expected looking at
the list right now, any of those big roster changes
surprise you, not really a surprise when we.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Talked about it yesterday, right It's this is kind of
a spot where the Broncos had a lot of depths.
They felt as though they there was only a few
spots to be competed with. You know, yesterday we found
out about the Mary Mathis and Adric Estimate, people we
sort of expected might probably be on the cut block,
and eventually they ended up being the case. You know,
I thought Sam Franklin today had a possibility potential there
(00:49):
as maybe a sixth safety if they decided to keep
six safeties because of his ability to play special teams.
But in the end, again, the numbers of the numbers
and you got to get down to fifty three and
some of these guys unfortunately just didn't make it.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
I know that the roster is strong, but Ryan, are
they looking for value out there and seeing if they
could bring somebody else in for a position potentially that
another team cuts that says this is a good fit
for the Broncos.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Yeah. I guarantee they're looking at it. The one thing though,
is not like I mean in years past, you know,
there may be two, maybe three guys that are added
from outside the organization. I don't know if that's going
to be the case, but I think you're always keeping
an eye on things like that. I imagine offensive line
would be something that they're going to kind of keep
a look at, just to see what kind of depth,
(01:33):
especially if there's an offensive tackle that they covet that
coul potentially be maybe a cheaper option for them, Maybe
maybe a veterans center as well. I mean, I think
that they're looking at two young centers right now in
Wattenberg and Foresight, when they're considering, okay, well, if we
have weakness there in the interior of the offensive line,
what are our options If neither of these guys can
show up and be that guy.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
We'll see how this all pans out by two o'clock
this afternoon for the Broncos. But Ryan, I gotta be
honest with you. Shannon lied to you and when he
got you booked on our show this morning, because obviously
Broncos moves are important. But there's an even bigger holiday
that's taking place today that you celebrate in earnest every year.
Happy Pumpkin Spice Latte Day. Did you already get your
(02:15):
PSL this morning?
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yes? I have worked my way through a triple VINTI
and this is the most awake I've ever been my
entire life, so thrilled to be joining me. I need
to put the energy somewhere, so I'm actually grateful Shannon
hit me up this morning, because otherwise I was going
to have to do a few laps around my house
just to wear awesome of this energy. But now I
was able to join you guys and actually channel it
(02:37):
a little bit into something more productive. So thank you
for the time, and yes, Happy PSL day to everybody.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
You got to turn in your man card.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
Come on, man, what.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Give your elevator? Pitch?
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Ryan? Why? Why?
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Why? Why do you love it so much.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Well, it's pure joy in a cup. First of all,
if you are deny, you're off your taste buds happiness.
That's up to you, man. You know, do you drink
your mud or whatever you end up doing there. As
a fellow ram, I would think that you'd be supportive
of deliciousness. But maybe maybe I missed that. So no,
(03:13):
it's it really like I said, it's it's just something.
It's it's kind of fall, right, It's a little symbol
of fall, and fall is my favorite time of year.
And then I just I just sort of like the
experience and and everything. But you know, to each their own.
You can enjoy your stuff, which is probably awful, and
I will enjoy mine.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
And you're a you're a PSL truist, right, you don't
try the pumpkin cream cold brew or any of the
other fancy ones that Starbucks puts out.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Oh no, no, no, I I I will partake it all.
I enjoy the entire catalog. I'm good, good, I yeah, Now,
I mean listen to this. You know, today is a
purest day. Today is absolutely a purest day. But as
the season goes on, you gotta dabble I highly recommend,
by the way, if you do like chai to do
like a half and half with chai tea and pumpkin
(03:59):
because that really literally is falling a cup. So just
a little, uh that tip for the people out there
if they don't like espresso.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
I like Chai t and Tai chi for that matter,
but now I like I like Chai Ti, so I'll
give you that. My friend, you are you, you have
amazing depth. Let's just put it that way.
