Speaker 1 (00:00):
A shooter fired through the windows of a church in

(00:01):
Minneapolis Wednesday, killing two children, fourteen other children, and three
elderly prisoners also wounded. It was marking the first week
of class at Annunciation Catholic School. The shooter, now dead,
shared a manifesto on social media that is being investigated,
and the shooter graduated from the school in twenty seventeen.
We get the latest on this and more from Fox
News Radios Jeff Monaso, Jeff, good morning. What more do

(00:22):
we know at this point.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Hey, Marty, Well, We're going to start with the most
important part of this story, and that is the kids.
We just checked with Henebon County Medical Center and Children's
Minnesota at eight CMC. Five children have since been released
that Children's. Four have been released out of a total
of nineteen victims that you mentioned, including the eight and
the ten year old who were shot dead sitting in

(00:44):
church pews Wednesday by this psychotic and clearly mentally depraved person.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
What do we know about the manifesto and some of
the videos that the shooter put up.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Well, police say right now they're investigating the motive, but
let's be honest, we already know they've They've also confirmed
the authenticity of the images and the videos that scrubbed
from YouTube and other places, but not before they were
captured and shared, you know, showing a racist, anti Jewish,
anti Christian, theomonic satanic ideology, a hatred of President Donald Trump,

(01:21):
and a parent love for recent mass shooters, many of
whom also identified as as trans many of whom whose
names were written on these guns. This person was sick
and did not get the help that he needed were
till they had no prior criminal history. But the FBI
is investigating this case as an act of domestic terror,

(01:42):
as a hate crime. The guns used were purchased legally.
He brought a shotgun, he brought an ar an ar
style long done and the pistol. And then, you know,
the hard part for those of us removed from this
is that now there's a battle over narratives, and I

(02:05):
think consumers, I think people just want the truth wherever
it falls.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, I agree that the narratives always make it worse
in many ways than just trying to figure out and
solve why this continues to happen. Jeff Do I understand
right that the shooter's mom worked at the church at
the school.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Yeah, the shooter's mom worked at the school, recently retired,
and then the shooter actually went to the school. The
shooter Robin, twenty three year old Robin Weston, who legally
had his name changed from Robert back in twenty twenty
as a minor with the help of his parents. You know,
we're asking questions, what kind of drugs is the what

(02:41):
kind of medicine medication SSRI is antidepressant? You know, to
try and get some answers as to this person's downfall.
We'll see, it's all part of the investigation. But you know,
candlelight visuals have taken place. There's makeshift memorials that continue

(03:02):
to grow nationally. This story is going to disappear in
probably a matter of days. But in Minneapolis on the ground,
nothing but heartbreak and sadness.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Did the church and I don't know why they necessarily would,
though in this day and age, maybe they did. Did
they have any kind of plan in place, safety precautions
to guard something like that on the premises.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
You know, it's funny because we talked, we talked to
a five year old boy yesterday was who was in
that church, and as the bullets came flying, He hit
the floor and one of his best friend jumped on
his back. At ten year all jumped on his back
to save him. His best friend was was was hit

(03:41):
in the back and being treated. He's going to be okay.
But this boy tells us that they had a plan
in place. They practiced it at the school, active shooter
drills at the school. The school in the church were
separate buildings. You know that there was a little walkway
with a little grow of trees in between the two buildings.

(04:02):
They left the school went to the church where there
was no active shooting plan and and and no no security.
I know that private schools have begged Governor Tim Walls
for security details and armed guards at schools statewide, something
he has denied for perhaps, uh they will, you know,
they will look at that again. But there was, there was,

(04:25):
there were there were no security places. There's a house
of worship, and things like this are not supposed to
happen at churches.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
