Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sports to see you Buffs looked rebound after last week's
lost to Houston, and Coach Prime says, the word of
the week is accountability.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Joining us now on the KWAK Common Spirit Health hotline.
His voice of the Buffs, Mark Johnson. Okay, Mark. So
when we're talking about accountability, what is Coach Prime talking
about here?

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Well, Gina, I think he's talking about just make some
plays for goodness sake. So, I mean the last couple
of weeks, especially last week at Houston, Kallawa didn't make plays.
I mean they gave up too many big plays to Houston,
had some drop balls, missed some constant terms of running backs.
And so they're just talking about doing your job this week,
I guess Wyoming.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Cayden Salter sounds like he's going to get the start
again this week. Is that a good move or is
there going to be a rotation at QB maybe this game?

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Well, Martin, I don't think he's going to be a
rotation man. And that's the report right now, that Caiden Salter,
And it would make sense he had Ryan stopped start
last week against Houston. He was okay in that ballgame. Now,
Cayden Psalter's the guy. Of course, the transferred in from
Liberty has been a four year starter there, so he's
the most experienced quarterback on the roster. Guests would be
they commit to him and you're not going to see

(01:03):
any rotation unless less something happens and you know, maybe
stinks it up or something. Maybe they got to go
to somebody, but I think they'd rather not.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
What do we know about the Wyoming Cowboys. It looks
like CU has had a pretty good record against them
in the past.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
They haven't been a long time since we've seen the
Cowboys down here. In fact, it was two thousand and
nine the last time Colabdo and Wyoming played. Despite the
fact that they're just, you know, an hour and a
half apart geographically, but they're a team that played Utah
last week, so another Big twelve conference team last week,
and the play did very, very well. It was a
very competitive ball game into the third quarter. Then Utah
kind of took control. What Utah did they ran the

(01:37):
ball effectively, got very physical with Wyoming last week. That's
what Colmeto hopes to do. That was the thought going
into the season. They've done it with the hurring degrees
of success so far. Through three games. That's what they'd
like to do on Saturday is out muscle the Cowboys
if you will at fulsom Field.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
And final question what area to see you and you
touched about you know certain things tackling is that? But
what area does see you need to improve upon the most?
And you want to say against Wyoming.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Marty, I think controls the offensive a defensive lines. Going
into this season, not having that high wire active Shaduur
and Travis from a year ago, this was going to
be a team that was going to control the line
of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, be physical,
run the football effectively, which they've done on occasion the
first three games, and then stop the rug which they
have not done. They're giving up two hundred and two

(02:22):
yards a game on the ground. So that's the area
right there. If they can be successful in the trenches
or the offensive a defensive line, they're going to win
some football games and be successful against Wyoming. We'll see
if that happens.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
See you taking on Wyoming tomorrow night fulsome Field. Our
Carie coverage starts on our sister station six point thirty
k hosts six pm with kickoff at eight fifteen. You'll
also be on KOA following the Rockies game. Voice of
the Buffs is Mark Johnson.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Thanks Mark, You're welcome to us.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
