Speaker 1 (00:00):
Be with you for the next three hours. Dave Logan,
Ryan Edwards, Big Fowler. What's so Betty making a regular appearance?
Good to be back with you guys. What's going on? What?
What are you wearing here? What is this? This is
a Golden State hoodie? Yes, it is as Dynasty on
It's got four rings on there, so representing. Yeah. Yeah, Draymond,

(00:22):
I mean right now it looks like that's the matchup
that we might be getting. I mean, if the season
were to end today, we'd be three verse six. I'm
pulling for that. It'd be good just to you know,
see a good friend here and oh my gosh, wait
wait wait is that wait?

Speaker 2 (00:34):
That's not the matchup. The Nuggets finished two though.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Is it now? The Nuggets finish too? Yeah, the Nuggets
are are two right now too.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Okay, Yeah, I'm thinking, man, I do not want to
see you were here yesterday.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Oh I take that buck there? Three? Yeah, Memphis, Memphis
owns it. They're both forty two and twenty four. I
don't know what's tiebreaker that Memphis has, but Memphis is
a tiebreaker.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
That maybe I mean when thinking about it.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Yeah, so there they do it. Good Ribs.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
They have great, really good ribs, Golden said, I said
yesterday you were not here. That would be the one
team that I would not want, the Nuggets. I'm still
pulling from the Nuggets, but I wouldn't want them to
see in the first round.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Yeah, they're they're on they're on a road. I got
a quick question for you. Better ribs in Memphis or
Kansas City.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Kansas City has some good ribs.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
I've been to Kansas City more than I've been to Memphis,
so I'm I'm gonna say Kansas City, but I will
say this Memphis.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Memphis has some ribs too.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
They're barbecueing. Kansas City's real.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yes it is, Yes, it is barbins.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Well, you don't mean even back before you chose what
is this vegan? No vegetarian, vegetarian? Even before did you
have ribs in Kansas City before you.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Yeah, I've only had ribs in Texas and then here.
They're good in Texas, really good in Texas, good in texts,
very good in text I would still put Kansas City
and then Memphis, and then what you do a little
bit trash talk by the way, Nuggies Tonight's versus the Lakers,
No Luca duncish. He feels Dave's you know, he loves

(02:10):
Luca him taking it.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
No, no, no.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
I just said, you know, after after my Die Tribe yesterday,
you know when I kind of went went all in
on Luca. Listen, and for those that didn't hear it,
I prefaced my remarks by saying, he's an immensely talented dude.
I mean, can score the ball, but I think he

(02:35):
could be so much better if there were just three
or four things that he decided he was going to
be serious about. Now, last night he got forty five okay,
and a loss.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
They got killed.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Well, he's doing about forty five and so tonight.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
He got it's back to back, he's got left calf injury,
and he's got a run ankle's brain.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
I'm sorry, how many you get last night?

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Did he injury left cap calf ankle in the game
like he got forty five on a calf injury and ankle.
Huh okay, sounds pretty tough to me.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
I always think when things like this happen, if you
sit a guy like Luca in games like this, that
a little bit of carmra will come back to haunt
you later on down the road, are in the playoffs,
and actually that injury will happen. This might be a
big Brownie James game tonight. I guess is he is?
He's with no so Luca's out, Rui's out, Jackson, Hayes, hatch.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Mora, Na Hashimura, Sorry.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Jackson, Lebron, Maxic Kleeber. They're all out. Gabe Vincent and
Dorian Finney Smith are doubtful's playing. This is gonna be
so yeah, the Lakers tonight, and then the Nuggets have Washington.
They're the Wizards who are like fourteen wins on the season.
Tomorrow tomorrow, Oh gosh.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
That's back to back. I wonder how many of the
Nugget players are going to be sitting out tomorrow, right.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
They go, They go as their leader goes, and Ki
doesn't sit out, so they don't feel right sitting out.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
I do have to say, in my this will be
like a six second rant. This load management thing that
sitting out in back to back games there we go,
drives me crazy.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
In the NBA, that's all, Well, you know what, you
have a point?

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Are you honestly trying to You're trying to wrap your
head around disagreeing with that.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Yes, I know, I have a very good argument. Why
you're wrong, says says planning for the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Who said us a good argument?

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Oh no, I say, I believe it's a good argument. Okay,
this one in the vacuum. Yeah, this is one of
those like.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Yeah, in the vacuum, I'm saying, you know, Averon and
then you're driving down, say you know what, I think
I'm worth ten million.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
That's good. It's one of thosels like do we need
Nikola Jokic to play?

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Probably either of this way. Talking about Nicola joki it
really doesn't.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
The load management would be a good thing for Nikola Jokic,
and I'd say Jamal Murray, et cetera to do tomorrow
and night versus the fourteen win Washington Wizards, who, oh,
by the way, only have seven wins on the road.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
I'm not arguing with the fact that you're playing a
team that you should be able to beat. You should
be able to beat. Every game is going to be
important for the Nuggets down the stretch. I'm arguing about
the fact that the league has become a load management
league where guys don't if it's back to back, I mean,
they just they just tap out, And I don't get it,
and that maybe that's too old school, but it makes

(05:41):
zero sense for some of these young dudes not to
be able to play unless you know, the league has
kind of sanctioned this. So maybe my issue is with
the owners of the league, and maybe you want to
unload management night. Maybe there's a discount of the tickets.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
That was where I was going to say, you have
about you have a great argument, because what do.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
You think my chances of getting that done on very
very slim.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
But the argument you have for me is the person
taking their family down to watch maybe the only game
the entire season and they get to see Nikola k
the great.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Bad example because he really doesn't do it. He does
he's not a load management guy. You shouldn't use his
name like in the same sentence with load management. Just
do somebody else, I don't know, use Luca Toluca.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
You're you're you're a Lakers fan. You live in Denver,
that's right. You already feel like, man, you know life
is tough enough, but you know what, My Lakers are
in town tonight and I get to go see Luka
donca Oh wait, now I don't get to see him
play because started by a This is started by an
old school coach, though, is it started by Greg POPA
mention in terms of what they were trying to accomplish
and achieve, And I think it actually really worked out

(06:56):
for them in terms of, you know what, they went
five champions hips in you know, a short amount of time.
So I mean he's actually started by an old school
coach and somebody that you probably have a tremendous everybody
has a tremendous amount of respect for. Look at you,
look at you. Somebody you have a lot of respect for,
Dave answer, Well.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
It doesn't mean every old school guy got to have
a lot of respect for that's right. I mean, I
think Pops Pop's some very good coach, had very good
teams and all timer all he's probably time. Yep, he's
probably an al timer. I said all good things about that. Yeah,
he's battling some health health stuff, and we're wishing of

(07:38):
course he's wishing well. And so I will not go
in on him because I want him to you know,
I want him to have good will from the show.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
The Nuggets favored by fifteen and a half right now
versus the Lakers now you, by the way, our impul position.
We talked about this root for the show you and
show me the money. I have a very nice week,
not a perfect week, but a nice week at seven
and one. Ben is at six and two. Nick and
I are four and four. We're out of this thing.
So it's you and Ben. I'm very interested to see
if you're gonna lay the fifteen and a half versus

(08:11):
the Lakers.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
I mean, I'm interested.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
I really don't know with the guys you said that
are doubtful and the guys that are already out, I mean,
do they have enough bodies they have to have?

Speaker 2 (08:24):
How many do you have to have to start a game? Eight?
What's the NBA rule?

Speaker 1 (08:29):
It's either seven or eight at seven eight to start
a game. I don't know, because I think Dallas is superhard,
and I think they had seven the other day. They
did have like seven at seven. The Lakers do have
and I'm not a Laker fan by any means, and
I don't want to give them any excuses, but they
do have six games in eight days because of wildfire stuff,
So that's right. I can see why they're like, all right,

(08:51):
let's get some people out. I think I got a
big three back to or two back to back US
in four days, and they got a really big homestand
coming up here as a result of all that. So
maybe that's a little bit of thinking anyways. Anyway, so well,
we'll talk a little bit more about them, less about
Golden State because obviously we don't want to give any
extra love to them. You're already doing that with the
hoodie today. Right before we came on. I don't know

(09:12):
if you saw this. The Cincinnati Bengals are are closing
in on contract extensions for t Higgins and Jamar Chase
and is supposed to be combined in the neighborhood of
seventy million for two wide receivers. And now, and we
didn't even talk about this kind of at the beginning
of the free agency period because there was so much

(09:33):
going on. The Bagels waiting to pay Jamar Chase. The
price has gone up, and you say, how is that possible?
No other wide receivers making forty million. It's because of
Miles Garrett who suddenly was like, you know what, winning
isn't that important. I think money's better, And he decided
to go back to Cleveland and make over forty million

(09:53):
per season, and now Jamar Chase was already guaranteed he'd
be the highest paid non quarterback, and so he's gonna
make around forty one million this year. It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous.
Number One, from the Miles Garrett standpoint, you talked all
that mess about it's never been about the money. It's
always about winning, and then they get you with the money,

(10:16):
so that clearly isn't true. You don't know what it's
like to be a winner. And then number two, I
love players getting paid, especially receivers. I love to see
that happening. But if I was an owner, forty million
or forty one million a year just is not worth
it to me in terms of paying somebody and what
that does and how that hampers your roster. And I mean,
if they're going to be paying two receivers seventy million dollars,

(10:36):
I don't think their team is going to be very good.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
I cannot argue.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
I love as a former wide receiver, I love guys
getting paid. I'm a huge Jamar Chase fan. I think
he's I mean, he and Jefferson to me, the two
best receivers.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
In the game.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Key Higgins he's a little bit different guy.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Jamar's more dynamic with his hands in the ball well,
Jamar breaks tackles. Jamar's better on screens, that sort of thing.
But Jamar also is a route runner down field, which
Tea definitely is.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
But I agree.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
I mean, you know, you've already lost your best best
pass rusher or you're you're fixing to lose your best
pass rusher. Off the defense, it wasn't any good. Your
defensive coordinators already gone. He was fired and has been
immediately hired.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
So I don't know.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
I mean, really, I don't know exactly what Cincinnati has
in mind, what they're going to do.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
I still can't believe they kept to Higgins honestly, like
that's well, I mean again, maybe your franchise tag to trade,
but franchise tag to extend makes absolute zero sense to me.
And the problem for the team last year was the defense,
it wasn't the offense.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
So do they have to do they have to declare
that franchise tag to trade as opposed to franchise tag.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
The time has right now, so we we don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
But they they said, Dave said it's a franchise tag
to extend. Like they told everybody that out loud at
the combine. We have all sat there saying, I just
don't know why, like and it's i'd say to you
against is great, yeah, but not a thirty million plus
a year. Great. Do you think they're going do you
think they're going to regret this?

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Well, they live in Cincinnati.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
On a Cincinnati.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
You know that that line was That line was utter done.
It can reverse.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
A few years ago by the late great Sam White,
right when he got he got very upset at the
home crowd for acting up, went over and took the microphone.
This is dreat a game and and it admonished the
home crowd and ended it by saying, you don't live
in Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
So I just remember that.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
One more thing I want to get to and one
the thing. I'm very excited about you being in studio
with us, and I always always you. That's still the eye,
the wandering eye.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Remember, I can't help Yeah, Yeah, it's great to stop lights.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Uh. Benny is like six degrees of Kevin Bacon with
the players the Broncos just acquired. He's he's been on
a knee right with all of these guys. Drin Sherfield
Hafanga Greenlaw, Evan Inger who you are very You're very
excited about that last week about the idea of getting
Evan absolutely, Oh yeah, Okay, we got to get him

(13:35):
on the show. Okay, we'll do what you gotta do. Man,
I've already got the message out to him. So okay,
all right, man, Yeah, let's get him on. Let's get
him on. We're very excited to have here. So I
can't wait to ask you about all that. But uh,
just a moment, this uh, Aaron Rodgers to Minnesota is
really heating up. This is I cannot believe we are here.

(13:57):
And I think we we we may have talked about
it last time you here, talk about maybe Sam Darnold
going back to Minnesota. We kind of thought, oh, that
doesn't make a lot of sense, you know, they got
JJ McCarthy there, and you know whatever. But then we
fast forward a week and Diana Rassini is reporting that
it's her belief that Aaron Rodgers will end up in Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
I like that a lot for him.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
I like that a lot for Minnesota. Yes, And I
can tell you who else likes that a lot.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Justin Jackson.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
He probably has a little.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Bit of an Octavo right now as he's about to
put it right to his lips.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Justin Jefferson monster numbers will lead the league and receive it.
If Aaron Rodgers plays every game next year, Justin Jefferson
will lead the league in yards. So what does j J.
McCarthy do? What do you do there? You just let
him bread the pine continue. Aaron Rodgers won four MVPs.
Aaron Rodgers is a shell of who he was. But

(14:47):
that's going to also help JJ in terms of his preparation,
really learning how to prepare taking the next step and
why not sit back.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Yeah, look at the wonders he did for Jeordan Bob
to make sure he's healthy, and he's had a second
he's had a second procedure on that knee. So maybe
maybe the Vikings have a little bit of concern. I
think that would be a huge move from Minnesota. Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
I mean and what but the reports are not just
her saying that. She's saying that it's Aaron that wants
Minnesota and that's why he's dragging his feet. So for
her report, he's dragging his feet with Pittsburgh and with
the New York Giants because he really wants Minnesota to
sort of step up at the play in Minnesota is
starting to warm to that idea.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
By the way, I found this for you.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
Well, the next person that sees anybody funny take on
this field, point them out.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
Make come out of here. You don't let play one.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Good poll. Yeah, So, I mean this is this is
kind of a weird little deb of the NFL is
king for this reason. It's the best. I mean, you're
seeing these teams put together their rosters and everybody's got
this vision for the Super Bowl. Only really five or
six teams can really do it. But if Minnesota, you know,
saw what they did last year. Kevin O'Connell's like, okay,

(16:05):
we have we still got a young quarterback on a
rookie contract. We've made some signings, we got a dynamic
receiver room. They re signed Aaron Jones. Good defense, Flores
leading the defense over there. Let's go make this happen.
Harrison Smith's coming back for a fifteenth season.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
How good is that division going to be?

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Oh, Minnesota, Green Bay, Detroit in Chicago with a whole
new thing? Is that in the NFC West? I think
in totality, because then the Raiders would finish last in
the NFC. What is that the North North? Yeah, so
I think in totality, I think the NFC North would

(16:44):
be better in the AFC West.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
I agree with that.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
I mean the competition level and then the animosity that's
also there is going to be exciting in terms of
Ben Johnson staying within the division taking some of their players.
I think Chicago, I think the top three free agencies Chicago, Denver, Washington,
not in any particular order, but what Chicago did. They
basically just said, akleb, this is all on you.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Now.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
We got all your scale players.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
We're protecting your offensive line.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
Yeah, got you a whole new offensive line, Ben Johnson,
here you go. We'll see. I mean. And that's it's
interesting too because in a lot of ways, the way
that Ben Johnson decided to start building this thing, and
of course they kept over Ryan Poles their GM, but
it's through the trenches. It's the same kind of deal.
When Seawan got here, he wasn't like, hey, let's go

(17:34):
get all the flashy name wide receivers, which is think
what they did last year, right, they went and got
Keenan Allen. Oh gosh, they drafted Roma Doonsay traded for
DJ Moore traded for J Moore. So it was all
sort of the shiny toy receivers that they put out there.
But they didn't do anything with the offensive line. They
just said over, we're set there and then they led
to Leaves Act. So this year it's been investment offensive line,

(17:55):
investment defensive line, And honestly, I love that built worked
out in here and I imagine is going to work there.
I think it's gonna be close as far as those
two divisions being which one is better because the one
thing about the Raiders, and I hate giving them credit
for anything, but I do think Pete Carroll raises their
overall floor either too.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
I mean, I think they'll be better, but I think
the Raiders would finish last in the NFC North. They're
going to finish last in the AFC West, So I mean,
I think it's close.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
But if you look at last year and use that.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
As a barometer of sorts, Vikings win more than fourteen,
Lions win more than.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Packers were in the.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Playoffs, I think eleven or twelve fair suck.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
You look at the AFC West Chiefs get to the
Super Bowl, Chargers win eleven, Chargers won eleven, Moroncos won ten,
and Raiders one.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Yeah. So, I mean, if you were.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Simply to break it down in terms of number of wins,
the NFC North would have more wins true last year
in the AFC West. But both both divisions are going
to be fun to watch.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
WHI Chiefs might fall back a little bit this year,
I think they could one year. We're going to be
right about that.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
I think they could. We've been saying that they've won
the AFC West last seven years. Yep, so is the
seventh straight. I want to say AFT Championship, seventh great
AFC Championship.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
I know that. Well then, yeah, I definitely got the
AFC West and seventh straight. That's tough. Well, very exciting
things coming up, no doubt about it. All right again,
Benny Fowler in shooting with us that cannot wait to
hear about your conversations with that Ingram and what your
thoughts are on the free agent class. You said it's
well your top three. Can't wait to hear more about that.
We're off rolling here on Friday. Dave Logan, Ryan Edwards,

(19:45):
Benny Fower on KOWA. All right, welcome back Dave Logan,
Ryan Edwards, Benny Fowler, KIA Sports until six o'clock this evening.
Oh but everybody's having a nice Friday. Shout out to
our sister station ninety three to three KTCL. They had
their Kegs and eggs thing today, which is a cool thing.

(20:06):
I always wanted to go down to it and check
it out, but had not had an eggs. Yeah. Yeah,
it's it's like a concert at downtown and they got
the bar, and I mean it's just a great It
looks like a great experience. I saw Gina from the
Morning show, she was out there earlier, so definitely something
to go check out. But anyways, ktcl' having a good
time out there. I have a safe time this evening
if you can. And of course we got a lot

(20:28):
of great sports this weekend. We got the Abs going
tonight as well as Sunday. You got the Nuggets going
twice this weekend. We were just sort of talking about
there next week. That's gonna be a lot of fun
to watch as well. Okay, you're here. You know all
of these guys that the Lebronco has just acquired. I've
been waiting all week to have this conversation. Shout out
to the DNVR guys. By the way, you were on

(20:49):
with them a couple of days ago. They pointed out
that you were the sort of the six degrees of
Kevin Bacon of the NFL with all these players. So
let's start with having Ingram, because that was the guy
last week that you said you really wanted the bron
coach to pursue. Absolutely, I mean number one, I haven't
really understood or just not really starting to understand the
joker term that Sean Payton has been thrown around in
terms of this tight end slash running back of what

(21:11):
they can do. So it's super exciting to have Evan
Ingram in the building. Sign I was texting him yesterday
and just welcome, welcoming him to Denver. And you know,
I think I've built a lot of personal infrastructure here
just from my playing days. So you want to see
players that you know come here, hey if they need,
you know, certain physical therapists or great body work people

(21:32):
just to keep their bodies healthy. You want to make
sure that they have all those contacts and that you
make the transition very seamless. So that's what I did.
But I'm very excited to have him in this offense.
I played with him two years in New York and
he's a very dynamic playmaker. I mean, you talk about
a tight end. If you look at his body, it's
very similar to somebody who were number eighty eight here
and Dmrius. You know, you have a six y four

(21:53):
six' five guy around two hundred and forty. Pounds even
the way they actually run with the. Ball you, know
one hand on the, ball they had those huge. Hands
but you, Know evan can do a. Lot you, know
he caught one hundred and fourteen passes a couple of years.
Ago can run all the routes in the route treet
and now that's very rare for a tight. End but
he can run the, slants he can run the, unders
he can run the ten to twelve yard, basics which

(22:14):
are those dig routes in the. Middle he can run
the shallow crossers and take it seventy. Yards he can
do the tight end. Screen so this is very this
is very exciting for The broncos. Offense i'm very excited
for Bo nicks and then you know what they're going
to be able to accomplish and achieve and What sean
is going to be able to draw. Up now you
think about, it right, now if you look at The broncos,
OFFENSE i, mean just imagine. This this is what they're
talking about In pittsburgh WITH Dk metcalf And pickens on one,

(22:37):
side but now you Have courtland on one side And
Evan england on the. OTHER i, mean those are two
dynamic bodies that you know can go go up and
get the. Ball so it's very exciting to. See what
do you think they're still? Missing who's who's a third and?
Three who's going to get the ball on third and?
Three could? Be But i'd like to see A Cooper
cupper Or Mariy cooper to really solidify the. Offense, now

(22:57):
oh you Want Cooper. Cup. Huh i'm big on that.
One i'm big on that, One. Dave we've been talking
About Cooper cup all.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
Week, yes we have.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
It it was quite the roller coaster yesterday with the,
reports the inside of, reports and then you Had Diana
rossini late last night on her podcast say, This Mike
Peter upper, quick, uh say this about what was happening
With Cooper cup and the teams that were in on. Him,

(23:27):
okay so you have teams.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
LIKE i can tell you, This Seattle seahawks will poke
it around on this.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Thing The packers are looking at, this The. Saints The
saints got their eye on. It teams THAT i thought
would be in that are not in on The Cooper cup.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
Market The Denver, Broncos, patriots why not The brontetions.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
WHY i think they just Are valian different players at this,
MOMENT i didn't really have anyone Outside Courtland sudden LIKE
i feel like a one to two punch In champayton's
offensive MAKES i don't know.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
Who they're waiting for unless he thinks that he can draft.
Somebody i've never gotten a sense that wide receiver was
on the top of The Denver broncos wishless of players
they were trying to bring in this offseason outside of the.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Draft so we'll see what moves they make. There, Okay
dave kind of lines up with some of the things
you've been. Saying sounds, like, well, YEAH i think.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
THAT i, mean my take On Cooper cup again was
it would ONLY i did not think The broncos from
right from the start were ever going.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
To be in On Cooper. Cup part of that WAS
i thought his asking price would be too. Steep AND
i also think that there could be a sentiment in.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
The building that if you bring a guy like that,
in as good as he's, been And i've been a
a Huge Cooper cup, fan that you slow down the
progress of a couple of year younger receivers THAT i
think The broncos. Value i'm not saying they would say right,

(25:16):
now these guys are better Than Cooper. Cup but if
you Bring Cooper cup in number, one he's not coming
in here making thirteen million dollars switch reportedly that's his asking.
Price they're not going to pay. It And i've said
it from day, one number, two going back and looking
at a lot of, video a lot of tape on the,

(25:36):
RAMS i think he can still. PLAY i think he's
still really, smart world class ball, catcher WHICH i placed
a lot of value, on BUT i think he's lost a.
STEP i think he doesn't get into his routes the
same way AND i don't see the sort of the
explosion coming At Cooper cup was never the fastest. Guy

(25:57):
he was sneaky, fast But i'm telling, him, man he
was world class route runner getting into and out of his,
breaks which is where you separate as a, receiver you
separate from defensive. Players and THAT'S i mean a lot
of the good guys can become great based on how
they how they run their routes into and out of the.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Break so you think thirteen millions too? Much either are
ready to pay somebody forty million and somebody.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
Else but you're not Comparing jamar right now To Cooper.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Cup, No but What i'm saying is thirteen, million or
if we paid twelve million For Cooper, CUP i don't
think that's overpaying. IT i don't know WHY i.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
Do based on Because i've watched every single game that
dude played in last.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
YEAR i don't see the SAME i see a guys still.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
Play.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Now if he came here and The broncos paid him, nine,
Hey i'm going to be Four Cooper.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
CUP i hope he catches seventy balls with The broncos
and they go deep into the. Playoffs But i'm just,
saying looking at the tape last, year every game The rams,
PLAYED i saw a DIFFERENT i saw a different.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
Guy.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
Now MAYBE i don't. KNOW i didn't follow all the
injury reports week to. Week maybe the dude was playing
with a hamstring maybe maybe he had other things bothering,
too but his injury history with his, legs you, know
would be.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
A red flag to.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Me if if he looked the way he looked last, year,
now can he still?

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Play he.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
Can if he goes To, seattle he'll put up good.
NUMBERS i think he'll be a really good. Player BUT
i DON'T i, never, ever ever thought The broncos at
thirteen million would have an interest In Cooper.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
CUP i respectfully, Disagree, yes, SIR i think if you,
know if we gave him in between the ten to
thirteen million dollar, RANGE i think that would be, great
just based off of where the receivers are getting. PAID
i don't see him coming in and having the same
workload as he had with The, Rams BUT i see
him as a high, volume.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Fifty to sixty catch. Guy i'm with you on.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
THAT i see, him AND i see him elevating actually
the receiver room because now they can actually see somebody a,
workhorse somebody who won the Triple. CROWN i think it
Elevates Coreland sutton's Game, veyley, Right. Frank then he actually
makes them and helps them to understand running at an
even higher. Level AND i also think he Gives boe
a level of comfort just based off of the way

(28:25):
that he. Runs rauzan understands the. COVERAGE i don't think
a lot of receivers understand coverage the way he.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Does completely agree with. That if you're not going to
pay a guy thirteen million dollars to elevate.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
The, ROOM i, mean i'd give him a nice signing.
Bonus it'd be like a one year rental.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Well and he's going to Get he's going to get
a three year deal for.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
Forty million with somebody won't be The Denver, broncos and
of that forty twenty.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Four going to be.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Guaranteed that's that's going to be his. DEAL i think she's.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
RIGHT i Think Diana rassini is right when she, SAID
i don't think The Denver broncos are in On Cooper.
Cup AND i would tell her, THIS i don't think
they've ever been in On Cooper cup at that, price
not at thirteen million.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
DOLLARS i don't think.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
He's gonna be happy if he has to go To New.
ENGLAND i think he wants a winning. Situation, YEAH i
only SEE i mean from the teams that she named Green.
Bay it seems like the only logical. Option and then
if it's from The seattle, AREA i, MEAN i just.
DON'T i don't see. It, NO i mean him And
smith And jig but, like but you, KNOW i, mean

(29:37):
if the money's, there, yes but if he's trying to, win.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
No he's playing quarterback For seattle, Again Sam? Donald all, right, listen, yeah, yeah,
OKAY i MEAN i could see. THAT i could see. That,
no you're gonna get The, Vikings Sam.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Donald, again you can get a mixture Of New york And. Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
MAYBE i love.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
Cups i've been A Cooper cup, GUY i really. Have
but just looking at, him he's. Different last. Year if
you tell, me, Hey, dave he had planner fasciaitis most
of the, year he had bad. Hamstrings if you.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Say, that, okay in a high, angle, Right I'd i'd
relook at.

Speaker 3 (30:17):
It but he was not the same route runner last
year THAT i saw when he, anywhere like when he
won The Triple crown in twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
One, yep not the same.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
Guy. Yeah, WELL i definitely agree with. That and he's
only had two seasons of one thousand yards in his eight,
seasons SO i mean he's has a big, name but
he hasn't Had he's only got One Pro bowl season
Or All pro. Season if Not Cooper cup then.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
WHO i don't, know Maybe Benny. Feller i'm washing.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
Fun conversation about the, quarterbacks Specifically Short. Sanders we had
some really cool sound From Lewis riddick talking About. SHADOR
i want to get to that here in just a little. BIT,
csu good job last night getting that win Over. Nevada
they're gonna Play Utah state tonight at ten o'clock, tip
and it's not even gonna Be it's gonna be Like
Utah state is favored in that. Game they are by

(31:19):
one and a. Half, Okay i'm. Offended that's, Right but ram,
up is that what you guys? DO i maybe that's
a good. Question what you you just? Go? RAMS i
don't know. That there's probably there's probably somebody out there
that has A t shirt this is, That BUT i
don't know. Anyway CSU's played the night Against Utah, states

(31:41):
and tonight we have The big Twelve men's Semifinals HOUSTON
Byu Texas Tech. Arizona that should be a lot of
fun as. Well kawai tournament updates are presented By xfinity
Stream Live sports from The best seat in The. House all,
Right Benny fowler and study with. Us we were just
talking About Cooper cup And dave brought up a good.
Point we talked about it a BIG i think, yesterday

(32:03):
if you Have Cooper, cup that means you probably can't
Keep courtland sudden a you're okay with. That i'm not
okay with. That and you, know the more we talked
about it, offline, YEAH i kind of agree With dave's.
Point it's got to be at the right. PRICE i
would say NOW i changing my tune to under ten.
Million BUT i do not think you give Away Courtland.
SUTTON i just think there's too much of a dynamic

(32:24):
ability in terms of what you can do down the,
field that Being bow's favorite target last. Year, YEAH i
don't see you getting rid Of Courtland sutton For Cooper.
Cup you, know on A i wouldn't say washed Up Cooper,
cup but definitely not the Same Cooper. Cup SO i
definitely believe in keeping court And Sutton Courtland. Sutton so
it's like the Meat lolf. SONG i would do anything For,

(32:46):
cup BUT i won't do. That. Ye, sorry, nice you
changed my. Mind, man is you changed my mind to?

Speaker 2 (32:54):
You, HEY i don't. KNOW i don't know if it's
right or. Not i'm just telling you WHAT i WHAT
i see on the on the, tape and AND i
like how.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
Your price cheps going. Down as we've had this. Conversation
you started out you're like fifteen, million thirteen, million, whatever
and by the end of this, thing After dave, talked you're, like,
okay well maybe ten maybe a little. LESS i don't. Know,
WELL i, mean it's not my, money so it's like a,
market you. KNOW i could just kind of throw out
with my prides and throw out there if it's not.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
Mine, YEAH i MEAN i Think Cooper cup will get
a three year deal for right at forty.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Million.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
Man good for.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Him good absolutely for a guy kid out of Eastern
washington washing it. Up second.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
ROUND i think THAT'S i think that's. Right, Yeah, no
he wasn't the first round. PICK i. Guess. YEAH i,
mean who's A kobiak is a Younger. Koobiak Clint kubiak
is THE. OC i can See, clint you, know giving
him that that type of deal go to you, know
be a safety blanket For Sam darnold In. Seattle go
back home or you, know you definitely don't want to.
Go but it's weird because one of the things That

(33:54):
i've been fascinated by watching this and it's it's kind
of all these different insiders that have pieces of this
puzzle and it keeps. Shifting right this, morning we woke
up To Adam schefter saying The cowboys have entered the
chat and now The cowboys are one of the favorites
to land. Him and then just a couple hours, later
everybody was out there saying The cowboys are not in
on this and they have no they're they're not even
close in. This and then all of a, sudden The

(34:14):
saints became really big in The Cooper cup. Thing and
by the, way what are The saints doing what you
had no? Money you went into the scene with no
money and they keep spending and how are you going
to be in A Cooper cup of? Sense salary cap?

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Manipulation And Derry carr changed his contract, right fre freed
up some.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
MONEY i like my Guy Ted win with the. Athletic he,
said it's Like Michael scott is out there spending for The.
SAINTS i don't know if you guys remember that episode
from The office where he put himself into bankruptcy as a.
Result but that's what it feels. Like, yeah for The
New Orleans, SAINTS i DON'T i don't know what you're
trying to, be but it is a team that just
does not want to admit that they might be heading

(35:00):
for a. Rebuild they're just, like, no, no, no we
just keep patching this thing. Together and you, Know Chase
young here And Jawan johnson, here and, oh we'll go
Get Justin. Reid we'll get a starting. Safety you know
that we're gonna pay him a lot of. Money we'll be,
good just. Overpaying that's how bad teams stay. Bad, yeah
they don't know what they're. Doing no no, vision no no,
direction no North.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
Star SO i think they may look at the conference
that they're, at the division that they're in and, say,
like we don't have to be great to compete in this.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Thing we Got, carolina you Got, Atlanta.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
Tampa bay, Though Tampa, BAKER i mean Big, BAKER i
Mean tampa is probably the leader of the pack in.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
That and The broncos went To tampa.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
And you saw how that worked, Out AND i mean
that that's Probably let me think about this that's probably
the worst division in. Football so if you're if you're
The saints and you and you found a way to
Keep David, carr, WELL i don't think it's BUT i
think he's more than. COMPETENT i Think David. CARR i,
MEAN i think you can WIN nfl games With David.
CARR i don't, KNOW i Mean Derek. Carr excuse, ME

(36:07):
i don't know if you can win a, championship but absolutely.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Not you can't win a. Championship, yeah were you there
when he was?

Speaker 1 (36:12):
There? NO i.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
WASN'T i.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Wasn't, Yeah i've only played.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
With everybody that the only guy you, MISSED i wasn't
there for.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
That ONE i. Played jamis was, there he. Was he
was the. Quarterback jamis And Taysom hill And Drew. BREEZE
