Speaker 1 (00:07):
Like, Uh, it's very very emotional man, just you know,
seeing my family just their phone call may've been on
edge ever since the day started, so you know, just
getting that tiger leave is pretty cool. Man. It's just
really excited, man, you know what I'm saying, Like, like,
I'm just happy to be on a team man, let

(00:29):
alone Darvid Broncos. You know what I'm saying. So I'm
super hright right now. I'm a lot to you.

How does it feel to be added to that legacy?

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Man? It means a lot, man. I definitely am just
super excited to get there and just have the team
win as much as I can, rather if it's on

Rick lewis a hero color analysts for the Denver Broncos. Rick,

Speaker 4 (01:04):
You congratulations man, You're coming to a great city and
a great franchise. How much time did the Broncos spend
with you in the pre draft process. Was this a
bit of a surprise for you getting drafted here in
the fourth round?

Speaker 1 (01:19):
No, it wasn't. I spent like I wouldn't say, an
overwhelming amount of time together, but you know they've expressed
their interest in me at the Combine, the East West Bowl,
and you know from that point on we've just been
in touch, you know, here and there. So you know,
I've always felt like they were pretty interested. You know,
it was just you know, a matter of just you know,

(01:41):
getting that phone call.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Ke Robinson joining us here one of the newest Denver broncos.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
One of the things that you're described with as mature
and humble. As I'm reading a little bit of a
description about you, what do you attribute that to? Who
in your life has sort of inspired you to have
maybe that disposition?

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Oh, my mom was definitely. You know, she's just one
of those hard working women and she just believes and
just you know, just working your tail off for everything
that you want. You know, everything is not given and
if it is given, giving back and work your tail
off for it, you know what I'm saying. And she's
just one of those women. So you know, I get
it from my mom. A very strong individual. And shot
man she I'm just surproud she is to that and

(02:23):
to me.

Speaker 2 (02:26):

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
