Speaker 1 (00:00):
Dave Logan, Ryan, there was Benjamin Albright in studio. Hi
Ben president and handsome.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
I see you dressed like an adult today, wore pants well,
short shorts.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Yeah, don't over sell it. You know, it's important to
leave something to listen to you. Actually, well you shower today,
that's I did?

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Yeah, I did.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
It was nice.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
It was nice to do that, Dave my friend. Wow,
just for you guys, gosh, I didn't want to look homeless.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Yeah, I mean is that really why? You know? Or
maybe just as an adults, it's all this extra time.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
I live right across the street now, so just walking
to work is uh just going to work?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Yeah, I can, I can wake up it in this
case two fifty five fifteen.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Well I had to do the thing with Mandy, so
two fifteen, take a shower, eat a bowl of cereal,
and still make it here with ten minutes to spare nice?

Speaker 5 (00:46):
Don't you love cereal? Occasionally like mid afternoons? Oh that
is the that is the premost As a kid, that
was like that was like the.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Best, well as a kid, as even as an adult,
it's well as an adult child, Yeah, cereal is what
cereal at times?

Speaker 5 (01:00):
But if if if if we had, if we had
a bowl of cereal right now, what would it be
for you?

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Guys?

Speaker 4 (01:06):
I eat really bland cereal, so like you're gonna get
rios or like those oat squares squares ADM crunch.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
That's my that's my go to if I'm gonna I would.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
Have I thought, honestly, I thought, well, I thought you
were going with fruit loops, not that I haven't had
a big bowl of fruit loops occasionally in my life.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Is that some kind of commentary on me as a
person or person out?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
You know, all the fruit loops are the same, the
same flavor, all the fruit flavor.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
If I ever knew that, I'm not sure I knew that.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
The colors all the same flavor. Yeah, okay, good to know.
How about how about you, Dave, what's the cereal?

Speaker 3 (01:44):
I would probably go frosted flakes?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Yeah? I love frosted flakes classic? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:54):
How big a bowl of cereal? Do you ask?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Where?

Speaker 5 (02:00):
You'll have about two and a half inches of milk
left over, which means you have to pour more cereal in.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
That's that's the thing.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
The rules because you have shred of wheat, in which
case you don't, you're yeah, soak.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
It all over grape nuts raisin brand. You're gonna be
pooping all day.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Keeps you regular though, Ran, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
You look at that face, Dave. I appreciate that. I
wouldn't want to have to use anima, as we've talked about.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
No, you've never had one, I think at some point
in your life within the next year for fun.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yeah, we do that.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Even trying to get me to do ayahuasca just for
fun too, well, now that that would be.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
I'd rather have a ninema than ayahwuashka, I think.

Speaker 5 (02:46):
Well, having done both, So what is okay, little mister
drug guy, what does hyahwashka do?

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Did you hi gives you?

Speaker 5 (02:55):
I mean, what can There's several sorts of highs closer
to the weed family of it's a little uh.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Get tired and you want to hear for a little.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Eye opening and you know and that kind of stuff.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
You'll you'll see that colors be a little more vibrant,
you know, that kind of like lsd I acid trip
or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Yeah, I've heard ourselves.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Now No, it's I mean it's like, oh weat high
kayoty kind of thing.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Okay By the way they're doing the final episode around
the horn is that today?

Speaker 1 (03:24):
That's today?

Speaker 3 (03:25):
This is the final wood on that.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
You know, I saw there's j a I I'm trying
to flashy.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Wee page Jay at Donde and I think they've got
uh who's that on the end?

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Is that Bob Kravitz?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Probably that would be Bob Kravitz. Yep, there's Woody yup
plash ky and yep that's Bob. There you go, the
final It was like twenty three years.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
I don't know, man, I I didn't really dig the
show initially, and it kind of grew on me and
now I think that's a really good show. Why would
they take that off? I don't you get put on instead?
Would be my question.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
You know, there was a moment I saw a rumor
that Shannon Sharp was supposed to get his own show.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Yeah, that might not happen.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I don't think that right now. That may have changed,
that may have may have been amended. But this was
this was a fun show. I mean, yeah, a lot
of personality, really unique kind of spin on the sports
talk yeah topic, I mean especially I love but you know,
as you're getting giving your take, you're getting points and
you're getting points added in and take it off.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Bob Bryan had over seven hundred appearances.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Jeez, that's that's incredible.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
And then of course Woody, our local guy Woody.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
What he might might have the most, he does. He
has the most.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Appearances, yes he does, and the most wins really like
six hundred something wins.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Okay, yeah, it's been on there a long time.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
But anyways, around the horn, it was a lot of fun.
What about last night's game, Dave, what did you think?

Speaker 3 (04:53):
I thought that?

Speaker 5 (04:55):
Uh, I thought, if that last three goes in, I
win both.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
I mean, for crying out loud, no, I think that.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Oklahoma City both.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
I just think Oklahoma City's defense is.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
A step and a quarter faster than Minnesota has prepared for.
And I think you know again, and I said, I
thought Minnesota had a shot in this series until I
saw the series number, which was minus three forty. And
that tells you, nah, that would be an unbelievable upset

(05:35):
should Minnesota win. And I looked at him as being
sort of more comparable. But Oklahoma City's defense has been
the key and they have made it really tough on
Ant to get any.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Sort of good.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Look.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
You know what, I could see Minnesota winning the game
in Minneapolis.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
I don't think they'll win both. And I think this,
I think this thing right now to me looks like
it's going to end in five.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
I had, Okay, see four exclean sweep. I just I
could have.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
I don't think Minnesota has the offensive capability to keep
up on any level with eleven guys that can all ball.
I mean, they've got guys down there at the nine,
ten to eleven. Isaiah Joe could come in and drop
twelve to fifteen if you let him.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Yeah, Als Crusoe fouls out and they're like that's okay, Yeah,
we got three more him.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
We're all right.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Do you hear Michael Malone before the game talking about
the MVP stuff? You know what, I didn't all the time.
It's great, it's great. Well, I mean, and what's so
great about social media? There's a lot of bad things
about social media, certainly. But I missed the pregame as well,
but this clip was almost immediately up everywhere, so we
had a chance to see Michael Malone talking about the

(06:42):
MVP vote and who he would have voted for.

Speaker 6 (06:44):
And I did vote for him again. This year, if
I had a vote, I want to make sure the
people in Denver know that, because right now I'm getting
a lowed to.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Heat back on Welcome to TV, Michael.

Speaker 6 (06:54):
No doubt, but it does legitimize the performance that you had.
But here was such a business mindset, mental approach game
it meant nothing to him. He was solely focused on
the team goal of winning a championship, not the individual accolade.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Yeah, so he's talked about Joker.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
He said he would have voted for Joker, and he
wanted to make sure that people back in Denver would
know that because he's been getting a lot of heat.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
We talked about.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
I mean, you got heat partly for that. He got
heat partly for saying that the thunder are the best
NBA fans in I don't.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Know that that might be hard to argue.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
A little salt in the womb though, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Maybe maybe a little too soon.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
Yeah, I mean, Lklahoma City does have an incredibly loud arena,
and I think when ball arena gets going, I think
that place is is tough to play too well.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
I mean, okay, that's that's the professional sport in Oklahoma
outside the University of Oklahoma, you know, I mean there's
there's no there's no pro baseball team or no pro
football team unless you go down here to Dallas.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
So that's the professional sport. They get loud for it.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Well, and I got into some interesting arguments on Twitter
about it.

Speaker 5 (08:01):
I can't imagine that. I know, you know, we cast
as been about this and now.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Here you go.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
But I'm owing up to it.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
And and I say, I say, awareness is the first
step or something like that.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Is that what it is? It won't help twelve step program,
but then you'd have to have what do.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
You know what the first step is? Admitting I am powerless? Okay,
just close the Twitter.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Well it's it's broken these days, so honestly, so what
were you about?

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Well, so people are like, well, I don't even know
how you argue that, because it's they're clearly a better
fan base.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
And I was like, well that that.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Seems like a bit of a subjective thing, and especially
coming from him moments. I mean, we're talking like a
month removed from being fired here being there and saying
this is the best fan base in the NBA.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
It's like, okay, maybe that because somebody said, well that's
his truth. And I say, are fine. That's his truth.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
And maybe he always believed that, even when he was
here for a decade. Maybe he always thought, boy, which
we had a fan base like a whole glob of city, that.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Could be the case.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
So where do let me ask a questions, where do
you think the and I think when he was talking
about fan base, it was in reference to how loud
the arena was.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
So same question for the NFL. If you if you
were to say.

Speaker 5 (09:23):
Right now, what's the most difficult forget weather, but the
most difficult NFL stadium to win from a visitors standpoint.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Well, first one that comes to mind is Arrowhead And
we the Broncos obviously played there a lot. So I
mean you you you were there in a lot of
these stadiums. I'm just saying from the TV, it always
seems like Arrowheads one of the top.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
I think Seattle, it's kind of up there. I would
that's the design of the stadium.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
It just I've always heard you talking about it and
saying like, boy, you could barely hear yourself in the stadium.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Uh. Those are those are the top two? I mean
if you have a different one.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
Would No.

Speaker 5 (09:58):
I think both those are pretty good pick. So if
you said, just in a conversation, I think Kansas City
or Seattle have the best fan base in the NFL,
would in your mind would you be accurate?

Speaker 3 (10:14):
No?

Speaker 4 (10:15):
What do you I mean, you're just basing it off
the volume from the stadium, because.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
I'm what I'm trying to get to is, what do
you think Michael Malone was was talking about?

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Right?

Speaker 5 (10:22):
I think he was talking about all these yahoos come
dressed in T shirts. It's that there politely and then
lose their mind for forty eight minutes.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Yeah, well, I mean, like I would say, you go
to the football like the.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Philadelphia Eagles have a pretty passionate fan base, you know,
the Raiders that are like the Marines, the few, the proud,
you know, it's more though, Well, I'm just saying that
the Oakland Raider fan base was you know, the Las
Vegas you.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Know, but there's great fan bag. What are you basing
it off of.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
At the end of the day, If it's how loud
the stadium build him in the ground like Seattle.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
What do you think Michael Malone based his comments.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
On Probably what you're referencing one of the loudest arenas
to play in and that I think we could probably
all be on the same page about when you say
best fan bases. There's a little bit of a subjectivity
at least from a like how passionate the fan base
is and has been pointed out, does that mean equate
to a volume thing?

Speaker 1 (11:18):
And maybe it does? Maybe that I mean, but.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Then are we immediately saying, well, the Chiefs and the
Seahawks are clearly the best fan bases.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Well, that's best. I don't think that's true.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
I mean, I think that Eagles fans are playing passionate
Patriots fans. We certainly have seen how passionate they can be.
Cowboys fans, despite the fact that they're not a very
good team, continue to be a very passionate, loud, boisterous
fan base. So I think that I think Denver Broncos
fans are very passionate about their team.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
So maybe a better question for you would be what
NFL fan base would not be considered the best fan
base in the NFL because you've looked for a Chargers
about half the well, now they're better than they're better
at so high than they were at the soccer stadium.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Yeah right, you know, but in San die.

Speaker 5 (12:00):
I'll say this Chargers in San Diego, that place got
pretty loud.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
Yeah, I'm I'm referring to the l A Chargers, where
you know, they're the what twelfth game in town.

Speaker 5 (12:07):
So you're saying the LA Chargers and the l A
Rams would not be in the top.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
The Rams a decent fan base.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
The Chargers don't, the Raiders don't anymore.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
I would say the one of.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
The fan bases would not be considered to be good fans.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
The Bucks are so fair weather when they're good, they
show up when they're not. They that stadiums empty. You
can get tickets down the bowl for five Bucks. Jacksonville,
they're pretty passionate. Man, there's not much going on in Jacksonville, Soles,
I would say that. I mean samely with Carolina. I mean,
there's just not a lot going on there. So you know,
their fan base is pretty passionate. If they're not pretty big.

(12:46):
I'm trying to think, man, like, maybe Arizona's been sort.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Of fire Vikings pretty loud. Yeah, especially.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
Loud.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Arizona's probably you know, kind of I think Washington fans
are coming back post Snyder.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
They'd gotten pretty apathetic.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
So that so that would be one of the things
like if you would have said one of the most
passionate fan bases or one of the loudest fan bases,
like like in the NBA, like this is one of
the toughest places to play, like anything other of those,
But they used best. Yeah, that's the word that the
operative everybody. That's the operative word that really stuck with everybody.
And and so then it becomes more of a subjective
like well, wait a minute, hold on, hold hold on.
So you're saying that the ten years you were here,

(13:26):
you just opening for God, it'd be so great if
we are the thunder.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
And I heard him it was at one of the
celebrations where he called the Nuggets fans the best fans
in the world. I mean, how many how many coaches
haven't at some point of their career uttered that phrase
when talking about the home crowd.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Who wouldn't that be.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Like Gary Kubiak going to Tennessee and be like, the
Titans are the greatest fans of the world, you know
what I mean, Like, yeah, do a TV and saying
something like that. I mean, I don't know, Yeah, well, anyways,
we can move on. We can't move on. But I
think in the immediate of that moment.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Peyton, in his two years here, yes said the Broncos
have the best fans in the world.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
He has said very positive things about the fans.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
I don't know. Do you think the people in the
New Orleans are pissed? Are they just they don't care?

Speaker 1 (14:13):
I think that he would he would choose his words
to the more careful. I think you would.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
I imagine he would use his words a little more careful,
knowing that the Saints fans probably still have some feelings
about him. Michael Malone didn't care. He was burning it
to the ground. He's good and so do you think he
said that on purpose? I know he said that on purpose,
because that's just the kind of person he is.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
But more than any Here we go, Here we go,
mister definitive.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
You don't know, And let me just add Jack and
I won't finish what Jack usually is finished with.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
You don't know that he's known to be a very
petty person. Here you go, Here you go. You don't know.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
That's your opinion that he said it on purpose?

Speaker 1 (14:50):
It tracks?

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Am I correct? Is it your opinion?

Speaker 5 (14:54):
Or did somebody that has closed to him say, you
know what Michael knew exactly what he was say on purpose,
as you saying he didn't know.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
I'm just I'm just asking.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
I'm just wondering if he won't say Minnesota Timberwolves fans
are the greatest fans of the world.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
Here in a couple of months, Yeah, in Minnesota fans
the greatest fans of the world. Well, he's auditioning for jobs.
You know, you make the tours, so you don't really know.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
I do want to play this fun sound by here
as I gracefully move on from this conversation. Uh, I
do think he's actually doing a pretty good job as
a broadcaster.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
I do.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
This was on last night with Scott Van Pelt and
he was talking about SGA.

Speaker 6 (15:37):
You gotta be ultra disciplined. It's almost impossible. You think
about trying to guard the best offensive players in the
league nowadays, it becomes almost impossible any contact. He a
lot of times offensive players like Shay will initiate the contact,
will hook his arm looking to draw that contact. He
is a foul artist, as I mentioned earlier today. So

(15:59):
discipline and you're hoping that they're referees read how the
game is being whistled. If they're allowing you to be
a little bit more aggressive. You can do that, but
once again, he's been living at the foul line. Fourteen
free throw at SAMPS game one fifteen tonight. That's not
going to get it done.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
He's a foul artist, Dave.

Speaker 5 (16:16):
He's been had an interesting segment today. And I mean,
I didn't know this, but over the exact same number
of playoff games, SGA ranks way down the list in
terms of number of free throws, way behind Kobe, way

(16:37):
behind Magic, way behind Bird way. I mean, and I
was like, wow, So it kind of puts things in perspective. Yes,
I do think he benefits from the whistle, and I
think what Michael said there is true. I mean, he's first,
he's really skilled, and second he is an artist in

(16:57):
terms of feeling pressure and leaning into it and then
trying to get the shot up. But you know what
I've been most impressed of with him in this playoff
stretch is his ability to get to the mid range
and then create enough separation at six' six plus to
get the shot. Off and he he doesn't miss many

(17:18):
fifteen foot jump.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Shots, yeah he's he's a.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
Great, player And I'M i mean great sins the word
without the lean in foul stuff.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Or you know.

Speaker 4 (17:27):
Whatever BUT i, mean if that's the way you're gonna get, officiated.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Why not play to that until they?

Speaker 3 (17:31):
Stop?

Speaker 1 (17:31):
You you, KNOW i get it to people getting tired
of the hard.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
Foul uh do you see that one where we shoved
him and finally got tired of it. Jha'daniels but you,
KNOW i MEAN i get the frustration with it BECAUSE
i mean Even Jabal murray doing it making fun of
him with the you, know with the flop. STUFF i get.
It but if they're going to officiate, It i'd be
doing the same.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
THING i mean that that stat THAT i just referred, To,
yeah tells me that a lot of the superstar players
of yesteryear were officiated, exactly if not more.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
So were they just more graceful with? It was there
just a lot more new?

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Ones?

Speaker 5 (18:04):
Maybe, MAYBE i, mean BECAUSE i think the game was officiated,
Differently BUT i THINK i think great players And i'll
say this the you, know The homer comment of the
day Except, jokic BECAUSE i THINK i think officials can't
quite figure out how to have to referee big people
inside And, JOKIC i think it's hammered more than any

(18:25):
superstar player and gets less.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
Calls BUT i think most of.

Speaker 5 (18:29):
The players that are considered to be superstar players over
the years have gotten a lot of favorable, whistles AND
i think it makes, them you, know make some free throw,
merchants whatever you want to.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Say But shay's and the.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
Thing that strikes me again About Oak city in the
first two games is they've just Taken minnesota completely out
of what they want to do on. Defense minnesota NOW
i think cast mentally tough en up a little.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Bit AND i Thought richard Episode jefferson last.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
Night mentioned something about midway through the second, quarter it
might have been even early third, quarter and he, said you,
Know minnesota has the tough and they got a tough
enough because you could you could feel them starting to
break a little bit mentally getting. Frustrated and, man you're
not beating them if if you're not up to the challenge.
Mentally and SO i THINK i think what you'll see

(19:26):
In game three In, minnesota you'll see the last. STAND
i think it'll be it'll Be minnesota fighting tooth and,
nail AND i think it'll be a.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
Closer game that could go either. Way do you see
Loud dort With Scott foster at the beginning of the.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Game, no they punched.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Him these and, BLOOD i mean everywhere like and.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
It it was.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Remarkable Chris paul was sitting, courtside and they've obviously had
their famous back and forth over the. Years but, yeah
Loud dort went up for a tip a tip ball
and he came down swatted him in the.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Face, yes.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
POSTER i got nothing Nothing Againstcott, foster and he may
be regarded as a really GOOD i know he's he's
a veteran, official been.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Around a long, time and maybe IN nba circles he's
regarded as a really good. OFFICIAL i don't know, that
BUT i will just say this from being AN nba
fan and watching tons of, games he, always to me
at least is prone to interject himself in a game
in a, big big. Way either it's a crucial, call

(20:42):
or it's a double, technical or he teas up the,
bench AND i Just i've always felt like that was
kind of in HIS.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
Dna nobody loves him some camera, time Like Scott foster loves.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Him, well that's that would be my sense as. Well
that was the.

Speaker 1 (23:01):

Speaker 3 (23:04):
Yeah ryan's the only guy in the studio that's throwing
the first.

Speaker 1 (23:07):

prior to, this he told the Story Ryan edwards wanted
to practice, this you, know speak one didn't want to
go out. There, yeah fair, ENOUGH i would do the same.
Thing but he was asking me how with the distance
between the, mound.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
And WASN'T i told he was ninety.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
Feet oh.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Gosh so he goes out there to fire one up
and he calls me and he took me.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
One this is?

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Outright, yeah it's. Me, well AND i don't even THINK
i threw.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
IT i just kind of looked at him like that
is so not BECAUSE i was practicing a little league din,
there so there s. Base you, Know i'm, like this
can't be. Right and then who you're throwing? TO i
was throwing to my. Wife she Was god bless. Her
she like catch her for. Me and then you, KNOW
i brought the kids. Out they got a chance to
swing the bat a little bit and we met a

(24:05):
family thing of. It and then my brother in law
used to play, baseball and so he came.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
Out and he made a whole family.

Speaker 1 (24:12):

very kind. HUMAN i was.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
THERE i, mean, look his parents were, there a lot.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
THERE i just saw the. Video his parents were.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
THERE i told him to shake off the. Sign he
did it like he shook off the sign from. FINGER
i was, like all, right that. Nice. Nice that was
a little captive to, you right right.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
Right BUT i didn't he didn't do Like Rick, lewis
who do you, know dirt dirt for the.

Speaker 5 (24:44):
Dirt, yeah, No i'm not Saying. Rick you Know, Rick
god Love, rick my partner in The. Broncos that was
almost as, bad almost as.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
Bad, no he didn't know he stor because he wanted
to throw the. Knuckle that was not an effort of.
Reality that was what happens when you think you can
throw a ball from a pitching mount.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Hold so you're trying to tell me that all these
years that he's been telling, ME i intentionally messed up?

Speaker 3 (25:21):
Up should you Expect rick to say he Invented corodain?

Speaker 1 (25:24):
Line, RYAN i, know, right next thing you're gonna tell
me is that The coronon line was the. BEST i
love the photoshop. Too you're seeing.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
That, ah he's got this photoshop of him with the
mullet back in the.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Day, yeah and he puts His coroda line like in
the background of the. Picture that's. Incredible it's obviously. Photoshopped it's.
Great so wont to throw out the first? Pitch are?
WE i don't, Know we're gonna watch. It obviously he'll be.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
Good he's gonna be, good, Right oh, Yeah oh, listen
no worries if if.

Speaker 3 (25:49):
He's, not you, know locker room. Pill you, know what
you don't want is for him to try to run
one up there about ninety and then all of a
sudden drop the mid and and his left hand goes
immediately to his right. Shoulder, oh that would not be.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
Good you just you, know everybody should have the same.
Advice go watch The GEORGE. W. Bush just toss it out,
there put it over the. Place it was pretty. Good
that's pretty. Good give it to just give it the
G W right through, this right through the strikes on,
there and you're gonna be.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Good don't try to put some mustard on. It you
need to snap off the. Curve it's this is you right.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
Here you don't need to Be Carl.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
LEWIS i don't you, KNOW i don't NEED i don't
need one of these moves over. Here you See Carl
lewis anthem.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Row it was Like Mariah. Carey also there's like the
of the all time worst hold. ON i was still
better than. Those, WELL i MEAN i think it was.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Table no, way, MAN i hit the glove Of diggers.
Giants who's the little singer? That uh, No Charlie Red.
Jebson that was. Horrible watch that was that was.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
HORRIBLE i have seen that.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
One, yeah, yeah we could go to. That Michael jordan
had a bad one. Too they Really, yeah it's it's it's.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
INTENSE i, mean this is the one THING i would
tell ooh if he's when he's going out there tonight
is hey, man there's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
A lot of eyes on. You it's.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
Stressful you don't think he's used to.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
That but but understand, well it's a different thing, though
because you're throwing a baseball versus throwing a.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
FOOTBALL i THINK i imagine this is a.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
Different a little, bit a little bit different level.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Of, anxiety don't you.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
Think, No, Look, dave you played in front of football,
crowds but then going out there solo onto the mound
in front of thirty thousand, people forty people.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
People i've never done. That but What i'm saying is
he's a. Quarterback he's used to throwing a. BALL i
don't think he'll have any trouble getting the baseball the,
catcher and the catcher will not have to jump.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
Up out of the.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
SPACE i just Watched Carl lewis's, Throw so that did
you sit three times before they before it got? There
that is?

Speaker 3 (28:11):
Better, NO i mean it might have been a little,
Better i'll give you. That but, again the same, family,
RIGHT i, mean you guys are eating potato salad from
the same.

Speaker 1 (28:19):

Speaker 1 (28:31):
Potato that's the white people Think i'm. White i'm not that.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
WHITE i don't even know any white people to put raisins.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
In it's a running it's a. Joke it's a running.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
JOKE i mean you live down and, yeah you, know,
yes that is.

Speaker 4 (28:41):
A Un Joe, Hickville, Yes arkansas.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
Fantastic it's the diamonds and that's what you.

Speaker 5 (28:50):
Know you might you might know some white people that
have raisins in their, potato BUT i.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
DON'T i know plenty Of.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
Karen's, Okay so so no raisin is what makes a goodotato.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Salad it's got to be it's got to be a little,
spicy right the hot news when you're MAKING i, THINK
i don't know if it's the cayend or just the hot,
mustard but it's got to be a little.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
Spicy. Yeah, yeah it was Memoral day. Weekend maybe some
people are getting excited about potato.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
Salad, yeah could.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
Be are you are you a big grill? Guy memorial, Day.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Dave, uh, yeah well, yeah, family come on for, Sure.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
RIBS i don't know if it'd Be ribs maybe maybe
Maybe Ribs.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Burgers, no, Sure.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
Okay we're not on the are, yet, right this is
this is a kind of conversations to hang it out.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
For, yeah there's nobody, here so nobody can nobody.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
Can shut it down. Exactly.

Speaker 5 (29:44):
So but it's velocity exceeded forty miles an. Hour, SURE
i believe into the.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Dirt what do you think your velocity was to have.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
A not Forty, YEAH i wonder. WHAT i wonder WHAT
i could get it up to out.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
There BUT i also did it hurt my shoulder right
BEFORE i threw it BECAUSE i was trying too hard
Like i've been.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
PRACTICING i THINK i messed him up with the ninety
Foot well, no, no, no, no so SO i TOLD i told.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
Shoulder.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
Yeah well, no hold, on because right before we headed
down to the, ballpark we pulled off to the side
and into a park AND i wanted to warm up
a little bit AND i did too, much SO.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
I went out. There i'm not.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
KIDDING i know you're looking to be, like sounds like
a good, Excuse, Ryan, No i'm telling YOU i went
out there and, YEAH i was hurt AND i had
to get a like Mess MARIO i Got mario had
to work on it for a long.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
Time but.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Just just, saying BUT i still don't THINK i hear.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Forty my whole part of this is like Even Peyton
manning struggled doing. THIS i mean Bon nicks, Man, listen.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
You might you, might, yeah you might be like too
soft for baby. Oil. WOW i mean in terms of
like a deep, no a deep like tissue.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
Massage, Jeesus i'm just saying my most LIKE i sneezed
one time and. Hurt this was most of my back
and it's like my most.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
Embarrassing, listen we've all done, that, right.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
You got a rib out and they. Can't.

Speaker 5 (31:25):
Yeah But i'm just, saying have you ever had a
deep tissue? Massage IF i get you a really good
to have you?

Speaker 1 (31:31):
Have?

Speaker 3 (31:31):
Yeah how did that? Go it was?

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Great it was. GREAT i mean it was sore, afterwards but, yeah,
okay that's.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
GREAT i like.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
This, well let's let both throw a complete. Game they
might actually. Win oh. Boy. Yeah we were talking about
during the break Because Tim kirchen was ON espn yesterday
and they were asking about The.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
Rockies it says it's bad for. Baseball this is.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
And, HONESTLY i, mean as much as we're all pulling
for The, ROCKIES i.

Speaker 4 (31:56):
Disagree he. Lives all publicity for baseball is good for.
Anything get, people even if it's rooting for a team to,
lose because you want to see. History baseball is at
such a low right now in terms of The nationals
geist that to, me anything that gets eyes on baseball
is good for.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
Baseball.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
YEAH i don't, know it's embarrassing that's happening.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Here but if it's were like The a's a couple of,
years it weren't we all rooting For oakland to get the?
Record what was it two years? Ago White sox last,
year there were we all. Rooting it's just it's happening,
Here so it's. Embarrassing but if it was happening anywhere,
else as.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
Bad as The White sox were last, year they were
almost on a time and a half pace better than The. Rockies.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
YEAH i, mean if you're A rockies fan and back
of The rockies got, HERE i was a season ticket,
HOLDER i love, Baseball but if you're if you're truly
A rockies, fan what what are you sitting here today
at eight and forty two? Whatever this season's? Lost what

(33:01):
is your mid, term long term sort of view of this?
Franchise how long do you think it can take from
today for The rockies to get back to being a
respectable baseball. Team let's just say a team that wins
half their games eighty one games three years for. YEARS
i mean baseball is not like for. You it takes

(33:22):
a long time to turn you. KNOW i mean you
come out in, baseball you're not hitting your Prime tell
what twenty, eight you, know twenty eight to thirty two,
Ish so.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
It takes years for those guys to.

Speaker 4 (33:32):
DEVELOP i mean it's you're probably three or four years
are being. Respectable and there's certainly not A dodgers where
they can just go.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
Out and buy a team to make themselves. Respectable, yeah
that's the biggest.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
Issue there is not like you COULD i mean you
could make some trades, maybe but more trades than not
are going to be trying to stock your farm system with,
arms and certainly you want some hitting. TALENT i think
the other thing is, here even if they're the worst
team in, baseball they're not even going to be picking
like number one in the. DRAFT i THINK i want
to say that they hate, lotteries hate. Them it's they're
because of the. Lottery they're like picking outside of the

(34:03):
top ten or something along those, Lines like they're not
even the number one, pick so you don't even have
the hope, of, hey but maybe you get A Bryce
harper or something like, that Or Steven strassburg right at
the top of the. Draft so, YEAH i, mean to
answer your, Question, Yeah Paul, kean it's another, one you.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
KNOW i, mean so to answer your, question it's.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
Sort of tough because if you would have told me
three years ago before they had the two one hundred
lost seasons and then now what this is going to,
BE i would have, said, well, YEAH i, mean you're
going to develop some. TALENT i say that you're going
to kind of hang in. There But black's a good.
MANAGER i think we'll BE i think we'll be kind
of in.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
There it's a tough.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
Division so if you're kind of fiddle finishing middle of
the pack once in a, while you're gonna pee your
way into a wild. CARD i Think i'm good with.
That you can live with.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
That you got The, dodgers you got The, giants The
rocky fans could live with.

Speaker 5 (34:50):
That, yeah you, KNOW i think this is a market
that supports, baseball AND i think if you could put
a product in the field.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
That every three years.

Speaker 5 (35:02):
Or, so but three years you're you're in wild car
contention and you somehow find a way to get. IN
i don't think you would hear much from this. MARKET
i don't think you'd hear much from your fans BECAUSE
i think that's the kind of people. Here whether whether
they don't have The East coast, mentality WHICH i think
at times can be a good, thing they don't look

(35:23):
at things quite with as much.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
Pisson, venegar so to.

Speaker 5 (35:29):
Speak but, AGAIN i mean this is this will be
the third consecutive year they've been over one hundred. Losses
but it's one thing to have a young team and
to sell fans, that, hey this is going to be
a bit of a youth. Movement it's going to take
us some time and the next couple of years we're
going to. Struggle and they've lost over one hundred, games
and then with, injuries AND i do think injuries were

(35:51):
a factor this. Year i'm not going to discount, those
especially in the, staff but you're going to. Be you're
on a pace to set an all time mark of,
futility and it is. Embarrassing And i'm Like Tim, KIRCHIN
i don't think it's good for. BASEBALL i think people
look at The rockies now and they've become the laughing

(36:12):
stock of, baseball AND i think that's real bad in
a lot of different.
