Speaker 1 (00:00):
One only Rick loosen study. What's up, Rick, what's up?

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Fella's good to be back with you guys.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Good to see you. Always want to be here. Nice flannel.
I figured you wouldn't notice.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
I got this the jacket shirt. Yeah, it's it's not
even is that really flannel flannel material?

Speaker 2 (00:18):
No, it's it.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Looks like a flannel print and it is from the
Ryan Edwards collection at Cole's.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
I did get that really, Yeah, I figured i'd wear
it for you, but this is all new things got
going a hoodie with the flannel a little to him.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Look at that, Dave, I think you're onto something with this.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Yeah, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
I appreciate you, you know, perusing browsing the selection I
have at Coles and yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
I wouldn't call this a flannel, fellow. No, I don't
know what it's not.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
It's not a flannel if it if it looks like
a flannel and barks and they're not just kidding it.
It's good to see you, Dave, my friend can see you.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Good seeing you to Ryan, Rick, Dave.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Always good to see you, yeah, man. Fun day out
of practice today for the Broncos. We had all sorts
of stuff to get to. Man, we got the Broncos
practice today. Aaron Rodgers is going to the Steelers. I think, Dave,
you might have said that a while back, that you.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
A time or two. Yeah, that was a done deal.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Felt pretty good about that. But officially it's going to happen.
And he's actually going to mandatory mini camp next week,
so it's like all happening very very fast. They're in
the Pittsburgh Steelers before we get to the Broncos. Just
for a second, what do you think about that, Dave?
I mean, does that elevate the Pittsburgh Steelers. They're a
team that is always over five hundred anyways, like they're
always kind of in the mix.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
They just losing the playoffs. So how much does this
elevate them? I guess I want I'm asking him.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah, a lot to me, So.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
I probably have a higher regard for Aaron Rodgers than
some fair ryan, but I think he's a guy that
I mean, They're always going to be pretty good on defense.
They've got to have a much much better running game,
but I think Aaron Rodgers when you look at who's

(02:05):
played quarterback for them since Ben Roethlisberger retired, Aaron Rodgers,
in my mind, is without a doubt, a significant upgrade
even at whatever he is, forty one, I think something
like that.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
So yeah, I do.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Think I'm The key thing for me is to see
how Arthur Smith uses him, how well Arthur Smith over
his time as an offensive coordinator and a head coach
with the Falcons, he's the guy that likes two from
time to time get his quarterback involved in the running game.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Well, that's not going to work.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
So that part of his offense, which he's really been
pretty creative with, is going to have to change, and
he obviously he can.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
But yeah, I think.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Pittsburgh, I think Pittsburgh with him at quarterback will be
better than they were in each of the last whatever
five six years.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, no doubt about that.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
What is he forty two, forty one, forty one, still
has the arm twenty first season, still's got the head. Yeah,
he's He's not what he used to be, but he's
a big upgrade. And I wonder what convinced him to
come back. Did Ayahwuashka play into this at all? Definitely
got under the Amazon wower. Yeah, you got down to

(03:25):
the rainforest and makes deliveries to the clubhouse.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
I don't know what it is, but I think it's great.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
I think this makes the NFL just a better package altogether,
and certainly upgrades the Steelers.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
I don't know, we'll see.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
You, so don't feel let me let me get this,
let me let me just let me indulge for a second.
So you don't think Aaron Rodgers at forty one is
markedly better than any other quarter back the Steelers have
had since Ben Roethlisberger, who retired.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
In Oh I'm thinking back seventeen or eighteen, maybe something
like that them.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Do you think any other quarterback to take a snap
or even those who were they were hoping to take
a snap, or they were just thinking of taking a snap,
any other quarterbacks in your mind since Roethlisberger retired that
will be better than Aaron Rodgers at forty one.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
No, he's probably the best that they've had.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Okay, when I say it's an upgrade, why do you say,
let's just see so.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
They're like ten wins, So let's say get they gets
to eleven wins with airy win last year, they still
lose in the wild card?

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Did they win last year? Hold on? I think they
won nine? I think didnny or they went ten.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
I think they won ten. Was gonna be my guess.
They won ten. They were ten to seven.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Booboo the clown and and lou La Belle at quarterback.
So I don't know, I mean things, things from year
to year change in the league. I mean, but but
I mean.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Wish what was Russell by the way is no, no,
he's he.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Was lou La Belle. Yeah, no, I just made up
their phrase.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
No, But you know, even I mean people people, because
Aaron Rodgers is a weird duck, which I will give you.
He's a guy that is, he's out there the eyewasheda thing.
I don't even know what the hell that is, but
he loves it, or so he's tried it. He's running
through a few friends over the years. But whatever. But

(05:48):
the guy I mean can still throw the ball. I mean,
that dude can still throw it. And I will be
very surprised at Pittsburgh is not better than they were?

Speaker 4 (06:00):
So what I mean, Okay, I don't even know exactly
how to measure that though, because.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Better than they were wins and all of a sudden,
you're right, yeah, okay, would that not be better.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
If they still lose in the first round, just watch
them on offense. If they still lose in the first round,
does it matter?

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Sure?

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Because do you do you think it is possible where
a team be better on offense and still lose in
the first round of the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Yes, okay, then we agree.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
You just have a sort of a You have a
reticent ability to come around the saying things the way
you should.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
I think it's because you still haven't given me credit.
On Oklahoma City. I think if you gave me.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
The best team in the league to get to the finals,
you called him soft. So if you said I thought.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
They were soft, and I will say I think they have.
They have played much better and harder defensively than I
thought they could. Yes, but see the difference between me
and you, and that there are so many differences here.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Running get a sandwich? Right, You got.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
When I'm wrong, and I also I also have like
I admit when I'm wrong. So I was wrong about
Oak City being soft.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
There we go.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Yeah, you picked the best team in the league and
then want to run a victory lap when the best
team in the league sixty eight and fourteen gets to.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
The finals and and and.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Oh, by the way.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
You also picked Minnesota, who.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Made it to the work was Major the Western Conference Final.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Well, evidently can't win the big one because they've been
there twice in a row, two years in a row,
and hadn't been out of there with anything but take
that l on your way out. How about that, Michael Malone.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
I picked Oklahoma City, and I think it's fair.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
I talked about them glowingly much earlier in the season,
before they got the sixty eight.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
I was saying, this is they had the best record.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
You should go back and and and look at it all,
go back and look online. They had the best record,
like before the first of the year. They had the
best record before January first, had the best record. So
to patch yourself on the back, actually with two hands,
is is a little unwarranted. When you're picking the best

(08:17):
team in the league. You're picking Goliath and then feeling
good about it that he smashed David.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
This is nothing good David's I think Davids are awesome.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
I do too.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
You know, it takes a big man to admit when
you're wrong, and Dave Logan just did that last time.
I was in here with you guys during the playoffs
and Dave was he was on the I saw that Nuggets,
you did what I really said, even though he is
he is an expert at revisionist history. What I really
said was I thought the Nuggets had more than a
puncher's chance to beat Oak City in a seven game series.

(08:53):
So did that turn out to be true or not? No,
it didn't turn out to be true that they didn't
have a chance to win that series?

Speaker 1 (09:03):
No?

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Did they? Then?

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Did they win the series?

Speaker 5 (09:07):
You and I?

Speaker 2 (09:07):
I didn't say you didn't win Game seven? You didn't
think they had a chance to win the series? It
went to game seven. I didn't. It didn't went to
it went to game seven?

Speaker 4 (09:14):
I know.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
And and what a great a great first quarter. We
we we can find other things that we can we
can talk about. We just can't ever talk about the
NBA anymore. Yes, yes, it's kind of.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Too bad because the first Yeah, but okay, I mean
I'm quite certain there'll be other topics we can we
can we can chop it up over and have some
fun doing so. I mean, I'm not even sure about
the NFL. But we'll wait and see. You've had some
differ You've had some You've had some interesting ideas about

(09:50):
the NFL too.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
All right, so let's just wait and see if we
can find common ground on that, and if not, we
can talk about something other than the NBA and the NFL.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
On a sports show.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
I can I mention our Bosston met but likely what's epic?

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Right?

Speaker 1 (10:07):
He goes, he knows, he already knows. How's about it?
You said interesting? I'm gonna take that as a compliment.
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
I have interesting ideas in the NFL. I'm gonna put
that on my Twitter.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Boo.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Well, you know what, I'm happy for you. If you
took that as a compliment, I'm happy for you. So uh, okay,
where are we in the show here?

Speaker 5 (10:28):
This is.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
He who knows we're on you?

Speaker 4 (10:33):
So yeah, we're Rodgers and Steelers before he tak Broncos,
you're right, he is an upgrade on what they have
had since been Roethlisberger. That is completely actually true with
you on that. I just don't know if it matters
all that much for what my expectations for the team are.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
I mean now now I'm being honest about it.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
So what what what would your expectations be of the
Pittsburgh Steelers that you would think Rogers arrival would not matter.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
You expect him to be good.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
I think they would have won ten games with Will
Howard and Mason Rude.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
I know if you don't, no, you don't see. Here
we go, here, we go, here, we go about our
NFL stuff again.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
Now we we're gonna have a ban on discussing the NFL,
because I'm gonna wonder, like, what in the actual hell
are you looking at and talking about?

Speaker 2 (11:21):
You do not think the Steelers would be as good
with Will friggin Howard and Mason friggin Rudolph playing corbette.
No you don't, No, you don't. And the fact that
I think maybe you do is so to me.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
There's part of me over here that says no, he
actually believes that to be true.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
And I don't know what to do with that except
do what I always do in situations like this and
suggest an enema.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Do we have those here.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Way too?

Speaker 1 (12:02):
I'm like, wait, wait, what are we doing?

Speaker 3 (12:03):
Here's here's why Aaron Rodgers makes them better. I believe
even if they win ten games healthy Aaron Rodgers and
they go to the postseason has a better chance of
winning a postseason game than they have with Russell Wilson
than they have with Mason Rudolph and Will Howard. So,
in my opinion, if I could step in here, please,

(12:25):
Aaron Rodgers does make them better. If he stays healthy,
they could win a playoff game if they make it
this year last I think they could be with that defense,
and I don't even know where they ranked. I just
consider them to be an above average defense. Maybe statistically
that that would not bear out. And I think I

(12:45):
think auditioned by subtraction with George Pickens. Right, so, you've
got you've got DJ who they acquired, you get rid
of your running back, the kid that went to the Chargers,
Nagierra's Najie Harris, And I thought I thought Jalen Warren
was a better back anyway. They had a La Johnson Well,

(13:06):
the kid from Iowa. Right, So, I mean, I I
don't know. I don't know if they're gonna win the
win the North. And I'm a big Mike Tomlin. Yeah
I am too, So I think they'll be I think
they'll be better. I think it'll be interesting to see
how he fits in. Seriously, Pittsburgh is a football town,
is not an Iowash.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
Yes, so true David not and and I don't see
him as a Mike Tomlin type. Dude, he's close to Tomlin.
He is close.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
I think they've got a good relationship, at least they've
talked about it in the past. If Tomlin gets him, uh,
that could make things way different than it was in
New York last year because that coach didn't get him.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
By the way, their first game is against the Jets. Oh,
how ironic is that? Okay, where is it?

Speaker 4 (13:55):
I want to say it's at New York Hold and
I'll tell you. But yeah, he's his first His first
game of the season is going to be Yeah, it's
going to be at the Jets.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
I think that for Justin Fields too, that's a big
who was also really yeah obviously swapped there.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
Yep, Well, you know I say this, and I do
want to talk about the Broncos in practice secause there's
some cool stuff to learn. I'd say for Aaron Rodgers,
the processes might be better, but he took forty sacks
last year. He still he is great, but he looked
like the steps back were starting to happen, at least

(14:35):
from my view. With Aaron Rodgers, there were some highlight moments,
especially with him and DeVante Adams and Garrett Wilson. But
the expectation to be able to just suddenly carry that
over into this year in his twenty first season, his
forty first year. It's just it's expecting a lot. The
reason I said that about Mason Rudolph and Will Howard
is because Mike Tomlin teams have shown the ability to

(14:58):
just win no matter who they kind of plug in.
They're not saying they weren't great with Ben Roethlisberger. They
were amazing with Ben Roethlisberger. But they've always had a
good defense, they've always had a good running game, and
with those kinds.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Of didn't have it. Didn't have it last year at
one of the worst running games in the league, and they.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
Still got tim wins. I'm just saying, like they are
so well coached. I believe more in that system, in
that staff than almost anything.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
I think this shows you the desperation a little bit
of Mike Tomlin pressure he's under. You can say, yeah,
they've been good in the regular season. No, they've never
had a sub five hundred record, But the fact of
it is, I think since twenty sixteen they've won one
postseason game, and they've been in the postseason a bunch

(15:39):
of times.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
You can't win.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
It's hard enough to win in the regular season, but
it's easier to win in the regular season with the
pedestrian quarterback than it is trying to win a postseason game.
That's when quarterbacks really make their money. So I don't
see the drop off as significant as Ryan does with
respect Aaron Rodgers, and I just look at arm talent.

(16:04):
Some of the throws I thought he made some you know,
he tried to fit the ball in a few times
last year where it's like, wow, you know, probably shouldn't
have made that throw. But I think he'll be a
significant upgrade at that position. He didn't look good early
in the season. He didn't look good when we played
him in New York. But he played better on the

(16:27):
tail end of the season. And when you look at
his staffs for the year, in a better year than
his last year with the Packers, he had more yards passing,
more touchdowns, less interceptions.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
And I mean there was all due respect Rick, they
had no pressure on them whatsoever, Like the Jets were
playing for nothing.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
They had no there are no expectations, and I'm not saying.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
That you think that would help him acquire stats.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
I'm just saying that they weren't playing with the Do
you think.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
That would help him better? For him, that is a
good question.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
I'm saying that when when you're playing without the added hey,
we need to win this game because it matters.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Do you think that would help him acquire stats? Yeah? Okay, Well,
then once again we have found yet another difference between
us in terms of how we how we look.

Speaker 6 (17:12):
No.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
I I mean maybe maybe from the team standpoint because
they sucked, but the reality of it is, you really don't.
You don't realize how bad you suck until like the
last probably third of the season, and then guys are
playing for their jobs.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
So I don't I don't think it will. I mean,
I don't look at.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
His stats, which I didn't even wasn't aware what they were,
as sort of meaningless stats. Now, if you're if you're
behind in a game and you're you know, you're getting
yardage against prevent defenses, than that at times can be
I mean, those can be meaningless stats.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
But I don't.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
I don't know that the Jets got blown out. I
mean they got blown out at Buffalo because I watched
that game. But I think there were some games that
they were very much in and they just found ways
to lose, like the Broncos for instance.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Yeah, and they lost to the Rams nineteen to nine.
Like there's a couple of games in over. Yeah, thirty two,
twenty six and overtime to Miami. But then the last
game of the year they won thirty two to twenty
and he put up monster numbers in the last game.
But Miami was playing for nothing. They were playing for nothing.
That's kind of my points is that there just wasn't
a lot of incentive at that point.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
I just have been the case. Miami sucked worse than
the Jets.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
He could have been.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
Yeah, he threw two interceptions, no touchdowns versus Buffalo the
second to last week of the season.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
So was that the forty something to little Yeah, they
were awful. They were awful. He was awful.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
Steelers have a better roster. I think, better coach, better
coaching staff.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
Doesn't have better weapons though not necessarily, Yeah, because Garrel
Wilson and Vante Adams is pretty elite. Yea DK Metcalf
me I like like DK Metcalf, Pat Fryar moveth They're
trying to get John who Smith.

Speaker 5 (18:53):
That'd be kind of interesting. The other tied end, Yeah,
that'd be kind of interesting. There was the other receiver.
Now the Pickens is gone, who who will be the
other receiver? As we talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers way
too long, I can't think of who that other receiver is.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
Yeah, I'm trying. I remember them they were going to
acquire somebody. I'm trying to remember who ended up being.
I know they have Roman Wilson there. Who's a draft
pick from last year, Calvin Austin, Robert Woods I think
went there. I don't know if they have another guy
right now.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
It'll be better than the running game without Najee Harris
and with Jalen Warren and the kid from Iowa, and.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
The better the defense will keep him in a lot
of games as well. Oh yeah, no doubt about it.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
All right, we will talk about the Broncos.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
We have Talanoah Hufuna joining us next very much looking
forward to that.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
He got an interception today on BOONEX. I don't even know,
ohta interceptions.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
I don't know. And actually, if you be if I'm
being completely honest, I think Riley Moss tugged the jersey
a little bit on the receiver, but you know that's
what it is.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
But Talao whu Funko's look phenomenal out there. He's going
to join us.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
Next, we have Chris Harris after five o'clock. We'll talk
about DT going to the Ring of Fame. We'll ask
him about all sorts of things with the Broncos defense.
They've been saying a lot of things about this defense
next year. We'll see if he agrees that they could
be as good. You're in the ballpark of that twenty
fifteen team. We're often rolling Dave Logan, Ryan Edwards and
Rick Lewis on Kawa.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Yeah, you gotta stick with your prediction. Yes, yes, Are
you got to qualify this too? Of course I am.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Well, then, how in the world could any sane person
qualify that? Rave Lewis with us. By the way, if you.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Make a prediction before a series starts, that's your prediction.
I think you could have multiple predictions. I tie to
one prediction.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Yes, yes, you are, Like if you go to Vegas
and better the game, Like at halftime, do you think
you can walk back up to the to the window
and say, hey, wait a minute. I know I took
the Packers minus six. I don't I want Jacksonville. No,
this is I want Jacksonville. I've actually why don't you
try that?

Speaker 1 (21:01):
You know what, we have a guest. I'm gonna I'm
gonna prove you're on that. This is.

Speaker 4 (21:07):
Thrilled it out to the ko Commas Spirit Health Hotline
and bring on Broncos Safety talanoa hufonga Telenoh, thank you
so much for the time you're on with Dave Logan,
Ryan Ands and Rick Lewis.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
How are you, sir? I'm doing well.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
How are you guys doing?

Speaker 3 (21:20):
We're doing good and uh and we appreciate your time.
So are are our guys out there going to call
you Tealan?

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Noah? Are they going to call you t well? I mean,
what what do your teammates call you? Do they call
you huff?

Speaker 1 (21:32):
What do they call you for? Short?

Speaker 6 (21:34):
They called me huff Man. That's got that nickname when
I got to Sam Fran and just been carrying it
with me all the time. So all right, Huff has
been everybody's been calling me that?

Speaker 2 (21:43):
All right? All right, Huff. So let me ask you this.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
You've you've started mini camp here, your first year with
the Broncos. I know it's early in the process, but
any similarities you see, uh, from what you experienced defensively
in San Francisco to what Van Joseph and the defense
the coaches like to run here.

Speaker 6 (22:02):
Yeah, you know, at the end of the day, I
think it's just a style of play, you know. I
think the aggressiveness is very similar. I'm glad that I
just got to be a part of a great team
in San fran but I'm really really excited to be
a part of a great team this year with the Broncos.
I think just all around your super point seven. He's
the guys you have to keep the player of the
year coming off a great feasing that he had. Of course,

(22:24):
for me, it's just how can I add to him?
How can I humble myself in this this role and
come in here and earn the respect to go out
there and make plays with my guys.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Huff a week ago or so, you said something about
bone Knicks and that that Bone Knicks was a big
influence on both you and green Law coming here to
play for the Denver Broncos. Now you've had a chance
to train with them, work out with them, practice today.
I guess you got an interception of him today. Tell
our listeners why that was so important to you to

(22:56):
have this quarterback.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Bon Nicks here.

Speaker 6 (22:59):
Well, he's you know, he's the guy that just goes
out there and works very hard.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
You can tell he's a he's a competitor.

Speaker 6 (23:04):
You know. The the things that I see in practice is,
you know, his arm is just incredible. The decision making.
You know, of course, I want to get into such
an every time I go out there. That's my goal.
And I'm trying to make it hard on him because
when you're going against some good defenses this year, you know,
we want to make sure he's prepared and go out
there and be successful. So great, great guy first and
foremost and the guy that you want to leave this

(23:25):
team so very reade the right decision for sure.

Speaker 4 (23:29):
For the defense as you've kind of been assimilated into it, now,
what are some of the things that you think this
defense is going to be known for, Like for last
year we talked about how it was going to be
an attacking or downhill defense or see you seeing some
of the same things.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
Almost definitely.

Speaker 6 (23:44):
You can just see with the numbers that they played
last year I think the league of sap and so
for me it was just that's just downhill first. But
I think we want to be a team that take
the ball away, you know. I think that's something that
we strive for. Our goal is to just be perfect.
We played in factor that excellence each.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
And every down, I think.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
And we're talking to Telenoahufunga, one of the newest Denver Broncos.
You'll see him a lot in the back end of
the Broncos defense, uh this coming fall. We we've talked
a lot about the defense and the scheme, and you've
mentioned the scheme that you came from. Anybody who plays
in this league has has had to learn to battle
through injuries, and some of us are more fortunate than others.

(24:26):
You've had, You've had a you know, your fair share
of injuries. I think Bronco fans would like to know
how how are you feeling physically and where are you
in terms of being ready for camp coming up here
in a month and a half or so.

Speaker 6 (24:39):
Well on percent, you know, I think a great addition
of me coming in here is the fact that the
Broncos lead the league and their training staff. You know,
the amount of injuries they had these last couple of years,
They've really turned things around. Sean Payte uh just coming
here and he made his presence known of like what
things that they strive for, and the training staff has
done a great job. And so for me just coming

(25:01):
in and just seeing how they they buy into their players.
They make sure that everybody's accounted for and if they
want to make sure everybody's going out there feel one
hundred percent. So I'm very blessed man, and I can't
wait for training camp. Still got to go through this
mandatory mini camp. But when training camp hits and the
season starts, man, I'm ready to roll.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
This is not a football question, but I know Broncos
fans would like to get to know you a little
bit better. You grew up on a farm, and my
partner Dave Logan, and I are taking them out buying
a farm. What animals would you recommend? Like goats, cows, chickens,
or pigs.

Speaker 6 (25:35):
I said cows first off, and then goats second. Interesting
story about me and myself growing up on the farm.
I had a patch some cows.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
It was so funny.

Speaker 6 (25:45):
But man, when this, cows used to get out sometimes
if you left the gate open on accident, cale get.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Out they go.

Speaker 6 (25:51):
If you just wrap it up and you take it
next to the count and walk all the way back
to the barn, they will follow you right back.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
And never knew why.

Speaker 6 (25:58):
I don't know if that's with everybody, but we had
a special to go in all accounts, he used to
us to get in there. And I think that's why
I call him the greatest of all time.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
So it's been. It's been.

Speaker 6 (26:09):
That's all we got.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
We're on it.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
Thank you so much for the time. Really appreciated it.
Best of luck this season.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
Man.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
We'll check in with you into training camp. Man.

Speaker 6 (26:21):
Thanks of course, Thank you guys so much.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
Appreciate it enough. All right, that was a great answer.
That's great answer. That's a great an interesting question. I'm
sure he's probably out there after practice today thinking what
who is that guy? Who's this guy? Is this guy? Well,
they you know, all they do is answer football questions
all day long.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
As you know, so you'd ask him a farm question, Yeah,
why not?

Speaker 2 (26:44):
I bet nobody. I bet nobody in the media has
asked him a farm dealer. I bet not. I don't
think so, bet not either.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Presser was last week no questions, no farm questions.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
Right, Okay, but now.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
Now that we're on it, are you guys really thinking
about well, we've talked about it, okay, yeah, yeah, well
that's this is after we're done.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Okay, Yeah, like tomorrow we want we want to do
some farming, maybe some corn. Yeah yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
Mean I went to I went to wat Reach High
School and the nickname was the Farmer's Right Experience.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Yeah. Yeah, the pitchfork and bales of hay.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Get some overalls?

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Yeah, I have some.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
I actually I actually have some overall What do you
wear them? I would love to see you in overalls?
What you don't think I wear overalls?

Speaker 6 (27:29):
No?

Speaker 2 (27:30):
If you please wear Well, here's the there's so many
differences between me and you. You wear overalls with like
no T shirts underneath them? I did in college.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
I mean.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
I can just begs. The question was.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Where down the beach? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (27:52):
I did?

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Yea sir?

Speaker 3 (27:55):
Yeah right, yeah, So I mean that's listen after I'm
here just to tell you I bring reasonable thinking into
your life, evidently, and that's that's not there's nothing to
be proud of on that.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Well, what do you have like?

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Mister green jeans? I wear like T shirts under it.
You you wore the overalls with the straps and no shirt.
It was a fashion cho for me. Yeah, you you
might wear them. Were the village people on a regular face?
Were you working in the yard in your overalls when
you wear them? I wore them school? You wore them
to high school? Yes, we were the farmers. Okay, we

(28:34):
did wear them every day. Was this the look dinner? Well? Yeah,
what was it?

Speaker 5 (28:38):
Just you?

Speaker 1 (28:39):
But but it was with the T shirt.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
It was with a T shirt.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
We didn't.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
We didn't wear the puka shells with no T shirt
under under bib. Okay, all right, I'd love to see
a picture. I know you probably have a picture at
some point.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
No, I don't keep nearly as many pictures as they
as my friends keep with them.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
Picture of the overall, I've got a mental picture of it.
And that's why I'm laughing of you wearing him with
no T shirt and you're not laughing. No, did you
ever wear overall?

Speaker 2 (29:09):
I don't think.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
I don't know if I don't think with a flannel,
I bet you did. I mean I would, I would,
but I don't. I don't think everyone knows that a.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
Flannel short sleeve. No, it's a flannel.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
It's just a T shirt.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
All right, It's not a T shirt shirt the T
shirts ever come? But I don't know, man, it's.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
It's a shirt, it's not does Does anybody in America
have a T shirt with buttons that's got a collar too? Not? Really?

Speaker 1 (29:36):
What would you call it?

Speaker 3 (29:37):
You wouldn't call that a T shirt. That's a short sleeve. Uh,
like I'm tucket shirt something like that. I mean, would
you call that a T shirt?

Speaker 6 (29:47):
No?

Speaker 1 (29:48):
But I call that a flannel, So to sort of.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
Call that a flannel too. I might take this off
during the break.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Why it's so good? Do you have the puka shells
in your carne?

Speaker 3 (29:58):
No, but I'm looking for that cabinet of enemy as
you mentioned earlier, Grant's got them back and the Grand.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Break last in case, I am going to keep those isolated.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
Yeah, those are not for everybody, Okay, all right, I'm
just trying to, you know, learn the rules of the show.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Here just for me.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
When I talk NBA, NFL anything that normally you have.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Very good takes. I mean today I don't know what's happened.
You're bound up? Okay, Grant, would you bring it on
in here through the break.

Speaker 4 (30:31):
Radio app which is now redesigned like you have in
your car. So please set us KOA as well as
k Sports as a preset. You can do that and
that way you never missed an episode of the show,
including that interview with Talanoa Hufanga. Chris Harris Junior is
going to join us after five o'clock. Rick lewis in
studio with Dave Logan and Ryan Edwards. I want to
come back to the thing we were talking about just
before we had Tellano Hufango. We're talking about predictions, and

(30:54):
I said that you can amend your prediction as you
get more information. You gave the example of the sportsbook, right,
saying like, no, you went up to the sportsbook, you
made your bet, and that's that's your bet.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
But then you can actually do live in game betting.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
That is true and you can does not effect the
fact that you bet. Initially you are you will either
win or lose on that bet.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
I'm locked into the original prediction no matter what. I
can't do anything about that, right, but I can amend
what I thought about that prediction as the series goes on.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
So and as the game goes on, I could say.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
You know what, but you would just be wrong as
long as long as you admit you're wrong when you
make when you make a prediction with respect to a series,
like if you would say, oh, I don't know, the
Thunder will beat the Nuggets in no more than.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
Five, if you said that, I didn't say that.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
But if you said that, and we do keep record,
if you said that and the series went seven, then
for most people, you would have been wrong.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Okay, that's all.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
I was wrong because I said that the Thunder would
win in six. That was my original prediction.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
Well, I think the Thunder will wood and six actually
came after game one.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
No, I said that, and I said now that after
game one, if I see the series.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
I have you on tape actually saying this could could
be a five game series. That would be an AI
generated sort of riot. Right, Okay, that's an interesting challenge.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
That would be me saying I didn't know AJ had
that kind of time on his hands. I'm just kidding,
I just I I understand what you're saying. But I
did not think the Thunder were gonna win that thing
in five at any point. I never thought that. Yeah, No,
it was it was qualified. This could be a five

(32:53):
game series. Qualifies it always qualifies you.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Yes, yeah, yes you do.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
We has a really funny text coming in on the
Kaba commisper. I'll text line a lot of night shirt
and overalls. There's a long time listeners.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
He once says, seven two hundred I wore overalls in
the early eighties in high school in Germany without T
shirts and one strap under your shoulder.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Rick, There you go.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
It was the thing was.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
It was definitely a thing.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
Have some pretty funny some pretty funny text here, Rick
two eight three on and she's Dave's on one today.
Take it easy, Go get some poontine, Okay, some pootine.
Well that was in reference to you really show. Yeah,
so you think that I I do.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
You think? All right? This show?

Speaker 1 (33:43):
Have you ever you've never had poutine?

Speaker 6 (33:45):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (33:47):
I don't know where are we going with this? I
mean the question is Rick, I mean pretty think all right?

Speaker 7 (33:56):
I'll say yes, yeah, okay, I I have not I
have never tried it. And that's exactly why we here today.
What are we talking about? Pote? How do you spell it?

Speaker 2 (34:07):
P O you in p O U n t e
E in maybe poon?

Speaker 3 (34:13):
You ever had it, I mean, and a shirtless I'm
gonna I'm gonna assume that even though I'm not quite sure.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
What from like, I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
Really well, I think I know what you're talking about, see,
but I'm not sure that's what I thought yesterday.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
Well, be careful what you google on these computers here.
But it's it's like French fries with gravy and cheese.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Where where's that called poontine gravy? Yes?

Speaker 1 (34:48):
And he calls a poon tine?

Speaker 2 (34:50):
What how do you pronounce it?

Speaker 1 (34:52):
Poutine poo teen?

Speaker 2 (34:54):
Yes, he had the I'm gonna google it. I just
guy got mixed up. I could see why did yeah, especially.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
The way you said it. I just asked, I asked
you if you ever had it before? That's all very innocently.
Does the text line have it? No? Oh?

Speaker 3 (35:11):
It says it's a Canadian dish. Yes, French fries, cheese,
curage and brown gravy. Wow, that's a heart attack on
a plate.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Basically, huh, okay, p o u t I n e
pooh teen That's what I've never had it. Okay, I
have it either? Reverse my answer, I never had it.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
Alright, we'll rack that we have some thoughts on today's practice.
We'll get to a deck
