Speaker 1 (00:00):
So a couple of things I want to get to here.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
Shelby was going off about the Warren shirt quarterback tears
waited a second. Get to that in just a second,
cause I know that that has angered you, has angered you.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
We had a lot of by the way, I.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
Gotta jump in here.
Speaker 4 (00:12):
Also, we were talking about the fireworks from the seven
to two oh nine three five. You don't see a
lot of paramedics and motorcycles.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
Another another good point because four wheels are way better
than two.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Oh boy, no doubt about that.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
I'd even saying a trike might be a better They
don't have a trike that would fit you old on.
My brother's fat and he had to try. My brother's
like three, he's like three thirty and he has a
had thirty. He had a try. Now. It was definitely
riding low. Please, I swear to you like he wasn't
three thirty when he was a little old well, no know,
(00:46):
like one of those three where motorcycle things.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Oh okay, that's not.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Oh I thought I was thinking that about tricycles.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Yeah. Yeah, it's like white Man particular trikes. No, the
little truck bike, Like.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
That's not possible. I'm sorry, what's I motorized? Why did you?
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Guys?
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Never felt more like a dumb out of touch. No,
I thought it was a trike too.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
My first thought it was like, like, why would you
ride around not a grow a.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Grown man riding around on a tricycle.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
I don't know. It doesn't make sense to me, but
there's a lot of things that don't make sense to me.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
So what were you saying? And I interrupted you?
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Sorry, No, it's okay, I I I do want to
get to his because he's.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Got some rants about this quarterback yers. I'm sure you
will to to. It's very click bait.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
One of the dumbest things I've seen in a long time.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Do pretty good stuff, but this, this.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
One's this is and I hate even having that talk
about it. But they don't have to. Well, no, we
have to because it's so garbage. Okay, it's so Have
you seen it, Dave?
Speaker 1 (01:51):
I have not. Oh you'll you'll have some thoughts. I'll
show it to here in a second.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
But there was a there was a conversation on the
Athletic Football podcast the other day about attempts.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
It was it was about the Rams.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Okay, it was about the Rams defense and they gave
off this really interesting stat and I'll tell you the
Broncos portions in a second, but they were talking about
defenses facing third and seven or more and how many
times they got a chance to see that. So defenses
when they got a chance to see third and seven
or more, which is obviously a true pass rush moment.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Right, So the Rams.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Were last in the league with eighty four times during
the season where they saw that that they saw that opportunity.
The Broncos were number one and twenty nine times over
the course of the season they had the opponent posing
offense in third or seven plus plus, And of course
(02:49):
they led the league in sacks, so it's just at
sixty three. So it was more of a thought process
as we talk about things that are sustainable or things
that they can recreate coming into this upcoming season. That
seems like one that I don't know if we're going
to see again like that. That's a pretty wild stat
to lead the league in forcing your opponent into third
or seven longer.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
I'm not sure I would think, because this is the
first time I'm hearing of this stat, but I would
think that they have a chance to be as good
in that category, if not better, because what that category
says is they're good on first and second down. Right,
(03:30):
So when you add what they've added on defense, and
again I'm supposing that green Law is going to be
healthy and Hufung is going to be healthy as well,
I think that defense is going to be difficult to
deal with. So from a play caller standpoint, when you're
playing the Broncos defense like this coming fall, what you
(03:52):
do not want to do is do exactly what you're
talking about. Get in third down and must pass pass
because then you're turning loose edge guys and you're gonna
get all sorts of stuff dialed up. So what's the
best way to ensure that that doesn't happen? All Right,
If you're going to throw it, you better make sure
you're completing it and getting some yards. So a lot
(04:15):
of guys will say, okay, if that's if I don't
feel real comfortable doing that, what's the next logical thing
to do, which is run the ball. Now, if I
know that, and I'm not all that smart, I guarantee
advance Joseph and that defensive staff knows that.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
So first down is going.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
To be really like you talk about the first game
of the season, the Titans come into town. Okay, first down,
you're playing a rookie quarterback. First first down is going
to be critical for the Broncos defense.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Okay, yeah, listen if you think that's something, because when
I heard that one hundred and twenty nine times of
the course of the season, which was again forty five
more than the last place team, it was about it
was thirteen more than the Texans who were second at
one hundred and sixteen eighty four with a Okay.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
So we're talking about what seven seven times a game about, yeah,
and seventeen games the.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Way you can think of it like that too, If
you get that seven times a game, you can pretty
much say that's going to be two or three sacks.
Yeah with this team. Yeah, with this team.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
And the Rams only had thirty eight sacks versus the
Broncos had sixty three. Yeah, So you're just thinking about
from a formula standpoint.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
Now, Now, if you said, hey, Dave, do you think
you think the Broncos are going to get sixty three
sacks this year? I even though I think I think
they're going to be better on defense, but what do
you think every single team in the offseason when they
when they talked about okay, like the Chargers and the
Chiefs and the Raiders in particular, because they've got to
face this defense twice, so they'll go back and break
(05:41):
down every single snap you know, in both games. And
here's I mean, their teams are going to get really
creative in terms of how do we negate that which
is the strength of the defense, whether you go twelve
personnel and keep both tight ends in. I mean, look
how Sean Payton last year there there were plenty of
(06:05):
times when he's max protecting and he did it the
year before, more so with Russell. But he's max protecting
because in which limits what you can do from a
concept standpoint, because you got two receivers in the route right,
but you're max protecting because you want to make sure
you block the strength of the defense.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
This is.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
The way you're going to have to attack this Broncos
defense is you're going to have to establish the run.
I know it sounds a lot easier than you know implied,
but what they're going to have to do is you're
going to have to take all all that heat you
get on third and seven plus from all these pass
rushers and second and long because everyone knows second and
long is a pass a passing down now too. But
(06:50):
the issue is you have to make it that they
just don't get free pass rushes. They can't they can't
know if it's a run or a pass. You have
to be able to have that variet offense. You got
to be able to run the ball against this team.
You got to be able to run the ball, and
you got to be able to do effective play action
because if you just sit there and you and you
fall into these third and longs again like how you did,
(07:13):
this team is going to feast, if not better than
what they did last year. So you're really the only
option is to really attack them on the ground and
make them play run defense because they have so many
pass rushers and they have blitz. You got Drag Greenlaw,
Alex Singleton, you got guys that have proven themselves and
actually now in linebackers, so it's it's not very many holes.
(07:36):
And even the idea of running the ball, you still
have dogs at corner, you know, and so it's this
is probably one of the more complete defenses in the league,
but on paper, you still gotta go do that. You
still got to show up every day in camp. You
gotta go out there and show up every day, you know,
during the game, during the season. So we'll see. But
I'm a big believer of especially with this Broncos defense.
(07:58):
You know, with defense in general, stay ahead of the
sticks is what it is, the key to success. So
stay ahead of the six, third, third and long, second
and long, making it that they're in past obvious situations.
You can't lose.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Listen, I'm here for it. I like to hear the optims.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
And by the way, we had a text line text here,
So Dave, does it were you that we had a
stacked d versus an easy schedule and we played Baltimore
and Buffalo. They were gashed. Not to mention Shelby's pal,
famous Jamis towards us.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
Famous Jamis, Famous Jamis.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
And there's been some concerns, right, I mean, the tail
end of the season, the way that they finished against
the Chargers, against the ball.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
The last month, I mean, they played some they played
some historically good offensive teams. I mean, Buffalo was a
juggernaut on offense most of the year.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
Cincinnati certainly was.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
The Charger game was disappointing because I thought the Broncos had,
they had control of that game, and then right before halftime,
you know, they have the slip on the punt, the
slip up which cost them cost them a field goal.
And then the second half. I mean, I listen, I
think even though the defense, I'm sure if you looked
(09:21):
at them on tape, the defense didn't didn't play well
in that month. But I think a team has to
play what I call in concert and I thought there
were games in which the offense struggled as well, right,
I mean, you know the offense. I mean we talked
about the Kansas City game. The Broncos had a chance
to win that they get a field goal from thirty
(09:42):
five yards out. Block That drive by the Broncos, and
I've said was about as perfect as you can have.
They used all the clock they converted I think I
think was three third downs, moved it down thirty five
yard or for the win. But if you go back
and look prior to that drive they had, the Broncos
(10:05):
offense had done nothing in the second half. They had
the two nice touchdown drives, the fourteen points in the
first half, but in the second half, I mean, the
defense is hanging on and hanging in there and playing
at Arrowhead and the offense did nothing. So you've got
to have a team that plays in concerts. So I
(10:27):
don't look at the defense in December, even though the
numbers are bad and.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Say, well, that's only the defense.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
I mean, how many points did the Broncos offense score
in Buffalo?
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Seven? Right? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (10:39):
The one touchdown?
Speaker 4 (10:39):
Yeah, one touchdown and that's on the opening drive. Yep,
And I'm thinking, Okay, you know what, here we go,
let's work. This is going to work just fine. And
then yeah, I mean the Bills. I think the Bills
looked at the Broncos and said we can mash on them.
And I think the Broncos have addressed some of that
sort of physicality with some of the additions in the offseason.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
You just have to know how to attack certain defenses.
And that's what the Bills did the right, right way
when in that playoff game. They knew how and where
to attack the Broncos. And that comes from a whole
season of film, you know what I mean. And the
biggest thing that I've learned about the NFL is it's
a copycat league. If you show on tape that one
(11:26):
play is what kills you. Every team, even if it's
not in their play book, will running against you. Yep.
And like for us, we couldn't stop the crack toss.
And literally we had teams that did not have cracked
toss in their vocabulary and they're running crack toss. So
that's what happens in the league. So even though you know,
obviously right now the Broncos looked, you know, like there's
(11:48):
great armored defense, Eventually your team's going to figure out
something that that gashes them and then you will not
you will not not see it until you stop it.
But we'll see.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
I don't I'm I don't know.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
It's very hard to gauge teams before this season because
a lot of teams, one injury will change your whole outlook,
no doubt. And so we'll see obviously when the season
gets here. But like I said, on paper though, they
look like a great defense. All right.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
So I want to give you a chance to tear
into this quarterback Tiers saying, I'm gonna can this over
to day for a second so he can follow along.
What is the most egregious thing for you? I'll start
with you. What do you what's the most egregious thing.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Well, okay, okay, this is Warren Sharp's QB tiars and
this is by far the most garbage thing I've seen
all day. What blows my mind, I'll say this one
is because it's you know, S plus the top level,
it's only Josh Allen, is Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, and
then Jaden Daniels.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
So just.
Speaker 4 (12:55):
So, the categories are S plus which is the best,
then A plus, A, B.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
C, D and F.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
So there are seven seven categories.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
That's besides the point. That's not even what's making me mad.
What was making me mad is that on this list
a guy has not played a single snap of football
is ahead of a couple talking about j mcco. You
ran JJ McCarty a C and you put them on
(13:31):
the same level as was that Michael Pennox who barely
has played Bryce Young, and then cam Ward arm Macley,
And you know who's that D? Do you know who's
that D? I see it, Sam Arnold and Rogers.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
This is the most garbage list I've ever seen. Let
me ask you one question. I'll played Devil's Advocate for
a minute, So how many GMS right now? If you
(14:09):
could get Sam Darnold, Gino Smith or Aaron Rodgers, or
you could have cam Ward How many would take any
of the three?
Speaker 3 (14:22):
That I love? How you didn't say JJ McCarthy, you
went straight to cam wol No, No, well because he's
the number one pick, so or even you know what,
J McCarthy. I think teams would a lot. I think
a good amount teams would still take Geno Smith over
JJ McCarthy.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
I agree, howl's Howl's Gino thirty four?
Speaker 3 (14:39):
No you're not. You're not going to take a thirty
four year old quarterback. I think you would if you're
trying to win right now? Yes, okay, but then you
have Michael Pennix who All I'm saying is that these
guys and these guys are proven, and we're putting them
on a pedestal.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
All Red Bronco fans. Bo Nicks is on the fourth tier,
which the grade is a big Here are these are
looking at the faces, there's no no names. Jared Goff
is on a bee with bow Knicks, Da Mayfield, Baker Mayfield,
Jordan Love.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
That is that to h? I didn't think that was
too that to Okay?
Speaker 4 (15:17):
Justin Herbert from Att Stafford, bow Knicks, uh C J. Stroud,
Caleb Williams, and Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
And also that's another thing, Trevor Lawrence is ranked way
too high. How you have accomplishments in the.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
Land and the level above bone Knicks. You've got five players.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
You have justin Field, Jack Prescott, you haven't finished the
season starting May.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
They've ranked Drake May ahead of bow Knicks. You had
Brock Purty, you have Justin Fields, and you have Tyler Murray.
So yeah, there are a few things I would travel.
How about this, You've got You've got Patrick Mahomes and
Joe Burrow not on your top level.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
And everyone that's like a consensus top They're all those
two quarterbacks are the consensus top three argument, I feel
like over and over again. And then the person that
always gets rotated in or out is josh Allen, Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
The top level, the s plus is josh Allen, Lamar Jackson,
Jalen Hurts and Jade and Daniels.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
And Daniels second year already.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Already you know, generational, you know, And this is this
is what I say about stuff like this. This is
not meant to be real. This is pure clickbait. And
I and I hate this is pure clickbait.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
They've guess Sjador Sanders starting for year Browns.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
No, they have all four quarter all four quarter ago,
Dylan Gabriel to do it and Kenny Pickett all, oh
they do they Russell Wilson, they have all the Giants.
So they have they have a couple of teams quarterback,
whole teams at Richardson, at the Indies, Indies all all
of Indies quarterbacks against all that quarterbacks, and then all
(17:07):
those quarterbacks and then Cleveland's quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
Also, what I'm saying it's it's it's this time of
year that nobody's doing anything.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
I mean, so you do things. You do things like
this just to make a conversation, right, you can't And
and I guess my issue is because I'm so practical,
and this is is this is not a good faith this.
This is my issue with this. This is not in
good faith ranking.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
I'll say one thing. I'll say one thing.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
I agree with everything that you guys said as far
as your assessment goes, I probably would have not had
Drake May as high as he was.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
But there's a conversation we got into. I think was
last week.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
Well, we were talking about what's more important for your team,
the quarterback or the play caller?
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Right the designer of the play caller? You know what?
What what? Where we lean on the most important thing.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
Having having the Minnesota Vikings quarterback JJ McCarthy as a
see here when he hasn't played a single snap, is
a clear indication that, at least for Warren Sharp, he
believes in Kevin O'Connell enough to get that kind of
production out of j. J.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
McCarthy.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Having brought Purty as a as an a quarterback where
we don't think he can play on several.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Teams in this league.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Here's my question.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
They have a clear indication that they believe Kyle Shanahan.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
They have Justin Fields ranked as an A. They have
Bonicks ranked as a BEE. I would submit to you
if the Broncos called the Jets right now and said,
you know what, we're going to move off of bon
Nicks and we'll trade him straight up for Justin Fields,
how quickly do you think Darren Moujie, who is now
the new GM of the Jets and was here last
(18:43):
year as the assistant GM, how quickly do you think
he'd say, yes, I think you.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Take a look at Warren Sharp's here makers say actually,
I think we're better off.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
No, you're right, you know, you're absolutely right.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
He would think that's that's that he would think that
Bonnicks had had some sort of injury on that trike
on that track.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
It had to be something, because this list doesn't make
any sense at all.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Do you think you'd be on a motorized trike or
do you think you'd be honest, they have.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
To be motorized. I'm not I'm not pedaling. Just let
you know. I'm not pedaling. If I was on a
trike at this good ripe age of thirty three, there
better be no pedaling. I'm up here this rioting.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
We'll get to some of the comments from MPJA here
in just a little bit. Also, we had a question
here about Yonni spelling Chinas. We'll get to that as well.
But this came out yesterday as coach Prime talked at
Big twelve Media Days, and he made some national headlines
with a point he tried to make about salary cap
in college football.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
Here's what he said, I wish.
Speaker 5 (19:46):
It was that cap, you know, like the top of
the line player makes this and if you're not that
type of guay, you know you're not gonna make that.
That's what the NFL does. So the probably is you
got a guy that's not that durn good, but he
could go to another school and they give them a
half a million dollars and you can't you can't compete
with that.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
That don't make sense.
Speaker 5 (20:04):
And you're talking about equality, not equality like equal I
think to equality. And all you have to do is
look at the playoffs and see what those teams spent.
And you understand during their white end playoffs, it's kind
of hard to compete with somebody who's giving twenty five
thirty million dollars. So during freshman class, right, it's crazy.
(20:25):
We're not complaining because all these coaches up here and
a coach at busts off and given the right opportunity
with the right players and play here and there, you'll
be there. But it's what's going on right now don't
make sense, and we want to say stuff, but we're
trying to be professional. But you're going to see the
same teams during that at the end, and with somebody
who sneaks up in there. But the teams that pays
(20:46):
the more pays the most is going.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
To be that it. Okay, all right, dad, what's your
cursory thoughts?
Speaker 2 (20:52):
I think there's some logistical issues with what he's saying
about a salary cap in college football, But what's your
cursory thoughts?
Speaker 4 (21:00):
I think eventually they're gonna have to come up with
some plan. I don't really know what it will be,
because now you I mean, you have you basically have
just a bidding war on a whole bunch of players.
(21:21):
And I mean it would stand to reason that the
schools that have the most money, you know, are going
to be able to go out and get get those players. Now,
I will say this, just because you've acquired you're really
good players doesn't necessarily mean you're gonna win every single game,
because you know, you you still have to manage egos.
(21:43):
You've got to put them in positions, you've got to
coach them, you've got to coach bad habits out of them.
And sometimes sometimes guys that are used to getting sort
of wind and dying in this, they they don't want
to be coached all that hard. They think they're above
being coached. And so if you have too many of
those guys in your locker room. I don't care how
(22:05):
talented your locker room is or how good your staff is,
You're you're gonna have a bumpy ride during the course
of that season.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
So that'd be my tike. Yeah, I kind of agree
with Prime or the idea that you're going to see
the same teams over and over again because that those
teams are are spending the money. You're going to see
Ohio State with a twenty million dollar roster. You want
to see Texas where a twenty million dollars roster. You
gonna see Alabama twenty million dollar roster, Georgia. You're going
(22:34):
to see these teams and it's and it's the unfair
part about it is you're you're technically you're going out
there and you're praying on these young young kids that
come from nothing and being like, hey, i'll give you
some money, come play for me. But like, would that
be the school that they choose if it wasn't for
the money. I highly doubt it. But if someone's offering
you a million dollars and you're you're seventeen years old
(22:58):
and your mom's struggling to keep the heat on, who
are you to turn that down?
Speaker 2 (23:04):
Well, no, of course, I guess the logistics thing that
jumped into my mind. I mean, we're talking about power
conferences versus I don't even know a group of five anymore.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
But I mean the way we're kind of realigning everything.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
But like, you can't have the same salary cap for
the Mountain West that you're having for the SEC. Like
you can't know, you know, even the PAC twelve, which
I guess will probably somehow exist after next year, is
that going to be considered on the same playing field
as the Ohio States and the Big ten.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
I mean, that doesn't make any sense either.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
No, I don't think anybody. I mean, I don't think
anybody has the sort of concrete idea that can get
things settled down. The salary cap makes sense to me.
How you come up with that number? And is the
number of the same for every single school? And if so,
who's going to enforce that?
Speaker 3 (23:54):
Right?
Speaker 4 (23:55):
And if you said the salary cap is, you know whatever,
twenty million dollars, let's say ten million dollars and what
what I mean, who's going to enforce that on some
of the schools? As Shelby just mentioned, they're like, wait
a minute, we have this, this this, and this, and
you're going to tell us we can't, we can't go
(24:16):
out and spend money that we have. That's not probably
going to work in terms of some sort of litigation.
So I don't think there's an easy answer. I'm not
even sure if there's one that. If there's, there's probably
answers that make sense, But in terms of being practically
efficient to put in place and have them abodied by
(24:39):
I don't know that that's going to happen.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Well, I was looking at like, college football is not
supposed to be the biggest spender. Is supposed to just
win every year, even though the SEC has been doing
that before even nil that's why we that's a whole
nother story. But the college is supposed to be a
situation where you know, you actually want to go to
this school, You actually want to be a part of
(25:02):
the work with this coach, you like the team, you
like the school. You know offends with college coaches where
the first place these recruits go is to the NIO,
like to the NIO door office, wherever they can go
the collective that has the first stop. So this is
literally all about money. So now I get it. It's
(25:26):
great for college all the players, even though most players
are not making the money that they think they were
going to make when they came into college. But it's,
like they said, though, I don't know what the answer is.
I don't know what the next step would be. I
don't know how to make it fair because obviously, you know,
Kinnesas State is not going to have the cap space
(25:48):
that a Georgia does.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
So that might be the first time in show history
that Kinnesaw State has ever been mentioned.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
And I want I want that noted. Yeah, hey, we
love it everybody. Kansas State, man, I've heard of Kannesas
State is in Kentucky, all right.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Georgia, Georgia, all right, Georgia.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
No. So it's funny because obviously I played video games,
so I did do a franchise. I do a dynasty
with Kansas State, and I still had no clue where
they were at.
Speaker 6 (26:22):
No.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
But but like I said, like, it's just not fair
though it wouldn't be. It's no way that any of
these schools can compare with the collective of Georgia, Alabama,
like Texas. You know, I actually would jump out and
actually I'll have more money in all of them. As
sm U Texas A and m.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
Yeah, sm you got that oil money very quickly.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
This was coach Franan was asked about his health. This
was another thing that made some headlines.
Speaker 6 (26:50):
First of all, with all all my soul and everything
I have, I never waiver. I never say why. I mean,
regardless of what's ahead of me, on what I see, Like, Lord,
just use me. If you could use anything, you could
use me. So I'm truly thankful. I'm truly a go
get her. I want to win at all costs. I
(27:11):
want to win the right way. I want to set
the right sanders. And I want to prepare these young
men for life, not just football.
Speaker 5 (27:17):
I want them to be professional first and second of all,
I forgot where my gurban playmaker.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
He came here with me today. Man. I love you
to life. Man, I just want you to know that.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
I want to tell everybody in front of every I
love you to life.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
I really do. Thank you.
Speaker 5 (27:29):
Don't thank me cry here, thank you for being you man,
I really do. Ooh, I love you like for you athletics.
Sometimes y'all be on that bull junk. So I'm really
not gonna tell you much, all right, you know that,
But I'm not here to talk about my health.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
I'm here to talk about my team.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
This man, I'll talk about it. He's a clique.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
Where did you get after that athletic Yeah, they were
in an article he didn't like.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
So he's like, you're talking about that bull jump.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Everybody's just a CBS last year where he's like, oh, CBS,
I'm not talking to you, and they're like, well that
was the CBS National. We're CBS Local. I don't care
your CBS. Yeah you got the bull junk.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
Yeah, he's he's he's an interesting, interesting character.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
We did a quick question coming in here on the
ka KMA spirit health text line five six six nine
zero high David Ryan, completely off topic. But have you
all heard anything else on the Yonis Valentnis situation?
Speaker 1 (28:21):
Thanks for all you do.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
I believe that what I said the day was it
Monday whatever, yep, that this was all not really to
be worried about that Valanciunas was going to play this
fall here in Denver.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
I think that's going to happen.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
I think they've talked him into it. Yeah, I talked
him into it.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
It's called it. We own your rights, We're not We're
not letting go anywhere. So if you want to play
basketball this year, you know where you're going to play that.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Can you do you think this is a sweeten the
deal kind of situation. Is he looking for more money?
I mean I haven't gotten that sense, but some of
the speculation out.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
There is I don't know what the motive would have
been for him to consider going to Grease.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Might have been family right at home. Yeah, that's a
lot of international players when they get a chance and
you know, you start making under that ten million dollar
range where these international teams can kind of offer that,
that's when they you know, they move closer their home
and then their off seasons are I.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Mean look away and he's way north of Greece, but
it's still the same time zone. But yeah, I mean
you get to be the man over there on that
team where you can be, you know, the man's backup here,
you know.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
I mean there's there's something to that.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
I think.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
By the way, congratulations to Herb Jones on a three year,
sixty eight million dollar contract he just signed.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Good and Herbs Herb.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
Or Herb doing this one again. It's Herb, It's Herb.
Speaker 4 (29:47):
Herb Jones got a three year sixty eight million dollars
deal today.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
Do you know who Herb Jones? Yes, I do because
I don't Herb He he's all.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
The defensive player, like he will lock you up in
a lot of ways and in a pretty good three
point shooter.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
Sixty eight million full guaranteed.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
Wow. Well, I'll tell you this. Well, guess what my well,
my mind. Like we talked about earlier, my daughter's playing
in Canada for a softball tournament. And guess who they're playing?
Chinese Taipei. Oh, okay, yeah'd be very interesting. I wish
I was there to see it.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
I don't didn't know the Chinese were a big softball
ye oh yeah, Japanese and baseball, but I didn't know
some of.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
These countries takes softball real serious.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Okays appreciated.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
Man, I'm going to vacated in Canada. Cool.
Speaker 1 (30:38):

back your you know what though.
Speaker 3 (30:41):

five times, like, Okay, Canada, I need my passport.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
