Speaker 1 (00:00):
Spasm, all right, Nick Ferguson in for Ryan Edwards and
Dave Logan today they've rested the voice getting ready for
this football season, and Ryan Edwards is taking what I
believe we call a diva day around here, where he's
just entitled to take random days off and whatever it
is that he wants. That's what I'm That's what I'm
being told here on this the sheet of paper I was.

(00:21):
I was just handled. I tried to I try to
set Nick up for the diva thing we were doing
the meeting with the Burnown people earlier. I was like,
you know what, Nick, Nick and his rider gets a
peanut eminem bowl with no green eminem's in it.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Make sure that's there and some organic honey. Nobody was
falling for it.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Well, see, I didn't missing any of those things. All
I had for was Martinelli's.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
That was it.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
The k We coms through the hotline and bring on
our guy, Nick Cosmider of the Athletic Nick, how you
doing this evening?

Speaker 4 (00:51):
I'm doing great, guys. Good to be with you, Yeah, good.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
To be with you too.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
We're on the cusp on the eve of training camp,
as it were, your two of bo Nicks with Sean Payton,
and you know, Nick posed a question earlier about some
of these contract extensions, you know, Zach Allen or Nick
Benito always through Courtland Sutt in the mix. If you
can only take two of three, which of those two
are you most interested in the Broncos doing?

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Well, that's a that's a really good question, you know,
for me, I think that it would be Zach Allen
and Courtland Sutton just based on kind of the totality
of what they bring to the field, you know, just
in terms of both snaps played, locker room leadership sort of,
they're kind of anchors on either side of the ball.

(01:37):
Now to say that to leave somebody out of that
group is obviously a tough thing to do in general,
and Nick Benito very well could be on the kind
of assent to where he is going to become one
of the league's premier pass rushers. But you do get
into this situation where you kind of have to you know,
you kind of have to make some of those decisions.

(01:59):
So it's going to be really seeing in these in
these coming days, weeks, you know, months. However, it ends
up you know, kind of falling out, uh, to see
what they prioritize, you know, and some of the reasoning
behind how they do stack these contracts because certainly, guy,
I think you look at all three of those guys
worthy and you can throw John Franklin Myers in that
mix as well. But as you're trying to continue to

(02:20):
be flexible around a young quarterback on a rookie contract
and kind of looking toward the future, obviously you've got
to be kind of balancing you know, uh, present and
a future vision at the same time. And that becomes
the challenge that the proverbial good problems to have.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
Well coming into this season.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Obviously, you know, we go back to that Buffalo game
and knowing as though a lot of the changes that
the Broncos have made have been doing part to what
took place in that Buffalo game.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
Moving forward, is training camp is.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Only days away from these guys reporting how important because
we always talked about the officer side of the ball,
how important is it that this defense fans continues to
get better even with the latest editions, and be even
much better this year.

Speaker 5 (03:06):
In order for the Broncos to have a lot of.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Success and success meaning another pants in the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Yeah, I think it's critical Nick to to sort of
them being able to potentially reach whatever the feeling that
this that this roster has. It's going to be that
defense a having guys who sort of, you know, reach
another level based on where they were or in some
cases kind of replicate a season that some might have
not thought that they could produce last year. You know,

(03:36):
that has to be a part of the formula. They
have to be deeper, right because, look, this is a
team and we've talked about it that has benefited from
you know, good, good injury outcomes. Right now.

Speaker 6 (03:47):
A lot of that is the way.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
That they've kind of revamped how they do player health.
But frankly, a lot of it, you know, tends to
be luck sometimes. Right. It's a violent game and you
have to have some of that fortunate you know, things
go your way. They can't necessarily count on that to
the degree that they've had it the last two years.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
And last year especially, so is that depth on that
side of.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
The ball going to get better? It's why you know,
they didn't kind of rest on that sort of defensive
performance that they had a year ago. They went out
and they used their first round pick on John A.
Barron they go and get tal No Hufanga and Drake
green Law to bolster some of those areas. And by
doing that, now you're pushing guys who were starters into
into kind of key reserve roles. So that kind of

(04:29):
strengthens the depth. But I absolutely believe that they have
to be the good. They have to be a top
kind of top five unit in this league, I think,
in order to get where they ultimately want to go.
Because as much as this offense is going to improve this.

Speaker 6 (04:42):
Year, you're still talking about a quarterback in this second year.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
You're still talking about some young playmakers who are trying
to develop. You know, you're talking about a tight end
that they've added who he's going to have his first
year in this system. And so I just think that
this defense is going to have to continue to carry
that even though again this is bo Nix's team. He's
going to continue to progress. But but you're absolutely right, Nick,
that unit's got to be nailed for them, basically all

(05:06):
year long.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
In the cosmido of the athletic One of the things
that I've said is that it would be entirely possible
for this team to be improved from last year and
be much better than they were last year and still
come away with a ten and seven record, just based
on the strength of the division around them, improving the
schedule that they have, which is kind of brutal down
the stretch.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
What do you what do you think about that statement?

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Yeah? I agree, and and look a lot of that
too is Okay, what kind of close game variants are
they are they going to have this year?

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Right?

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Like they they you know that they kind of won
the game that they were supposed to win a year ago.
But some of those one score games, i e. You know,
Cincinnati the first, the first Chief game, you know, can
you come up come up with a few more of those?
Because you know, to your point about the schedule, you're
playing good football teams, You're going to be in those

(06:00):
kind of games. So what does that sort of look
you know, what does that sort of look like? I
definitely think they could be better and still have the
same record. Hey, because the division is going to be better,
right The Chiefs are who they are, you know, the
Chargers tend to get always like a little bit overheighth
to this time of year.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
And yet I still do think they're.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Obviously going to be you know, a really good football team.
And the Raiders they're going to take some time with
peak care, but they will be a more competitive outfit
than they were a year ago. And so just the
division you're not playing the NFC South this year, you know,
just a lot of those things to where it's like
your your margin for error, especially if you have a
little bit of stumble at some point in the season,

(06:42):
can really diminish quickly. So yeah, you're you're gonna have
to You're gonna have to be efficient in those close games,
and you're gonna definitely have to take care of, you know,
some of these games like Week one Tennessee, you need
to go on the road and beat a colts team
in Week two and have that kind of start that
they haven't had the last two years.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
Think as you look at this wide receiver group.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Obviously we know that coltland Sun his eldest statesman in
the room, Marvin Mahams showed a lot of upside last year,
especially on those deep throws. And Ben is having his
bromance with de von Vley. And as we look at
this group, who is it that you want to see?

Speaker 5 (07:21):
As we get started with.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Training camp, started to take those foundation of steps to
make this offense much better in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
Yeah, it's a great question. I'm really fascinated by this
group for and there's a couple couple of reasons. How
much did they spend time this offseason kind of looking
at Marvin Mims's final third of the year in which, yes,
he got some chemistry of bonix on some of these
deep routes. They ran some really good kind of deep
dig concepts that got him the ball in those sort

(07:51):
of electric ways. They obviously did stuff with him around
the line of scrimmage that got him to the edge
and as Sean Payton said, put him in that, you.

Speaker 6 (07:58):
Know, kind of of being a returner on offense.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
How much did they look at that and say, Okay,
that this has to be an even bigger part of
what we do. We have to get even more creative
with this. So really kind of interested to see how
much of that from the end of the year they
can extrapolate with him and make him more of just
a consistent presence. Troy Franklin is one with me where
you know, how how much better is he gonna get
tracking the ball deep? You know, I've been reading some

(08:23):
of the stuff about Quinton Johnson having a good start
to their to their camp with the Chargers because they
started earlier since they're going to Canton, uh and and
a big thing with him that he struggled with early,
similar to Troy Franklin, was you know, tracking the deep
ball and sort of being confident, calm in that moment.
You know, we saw Troy come up with the obviously
the touchdown against the Bills, but can he be more

(08:45):
consistent in that way? And then what does Pat Bryan
bring to the table. You know, a guy that they
like his toughness, but a third round pick who is
you know, behind a guy like Devon Veley who you know,
it's sort of the untalked about guy that that certainly
I think can take intother leap, especially if he's a
little bit healthier than he was last year. So yeah,
it's it's a really interesting group. I think we know

(09:07):
a lot about this team, but that's one area where
you say, hey, young guys, you know some coaching challenges
slash opportunities to have with that group. So yeah, that's
one that I'm really eager to watch as we get
rolling here talking.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
It cosmin of the athletic here, you could have just
told Ferguson The answer.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
Was, but he's so consistent already as a rookie, right,
like a thirty two year old rooie last year, So
you know you would just expected already, Like that's kind
of the vibe that he has.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Yeah, I was just you know, he's weird watching him
get his his rookie jersey and his ARP card at
the same time.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
I uh.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
But on that note, on that note, what what player
this year has got to have a great season in
order for this team to get where it's going in
And let's let's set aside the obvious answer in bo Nicks,
What what player besides the quarterback has got to have
that kind of season for this team to achieve the
heights it wants to achieve.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
I think there's a couple when that comes to mind.
Is Riley Moss. I think he needs to take another
step from where he was last year. Obviously, I think
the way his general competitiveness in sort of you know,
short memory. I think there were a lot of things
that you liked about, you know, the toughness that he
brought to a position that had been in flux. Quite frankly,
ever since passer Tan got drafted, they've been looking for

(10:22):
somebody consistent on the outside. But I still think he
can look back and say, hey, there's areas where he
can get better. Obviously being healthy throughout the whole season
he's he's been nicked up a little bit. I think
he needs to have a big season because if he does,
I mean, you're just running out of places to attack
this defense. Right if Riley Moss takes another step, you have.

Speaker 6 (10:41):
Jad Ed Barron or you know, Jawan McMillan.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
Kind of manning that that nickel role, that dime roll.
You know, hopefully you have a Drake Greenlaw and Alex
Singleton healthy on the inside. You know, you start to say,
how do we even really attack this unit? And that
would bring me to my other guy green Law. I
think he really needs to be a guy that is
obviously healthy. That's the biggest question mark because if he is,

(11:03):
I think he brings an element of you know, Mike
mcglinch kind of mentioned it today, like a feel right
like when he's done making plays, you feel Dre green Lie.
Do think that's something that they've missed at times as
good as the defense has been, just kind of having
that player where you're just like, man, this guy is
going to be a headache for the next sixty minutes.
Like that I think is important. And then offensively, whether it's R. J.

(11:25):
Harvey or JK. Dobbins, like they just need somebody like
that to give them a consistency they just didn't have
last year when they're top back with more or less
playing on one leg. They just need a consistent answer
out of the running back position this year.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
Nick depth is always a thing that teams struggle with it.

Speaker 5 (11:42):
They don't realize how important it is until god start
going down.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
And this is going to be a tough season for
the Denver Broncos, as it is for everyone else in
the league. But for me, I think we don't hear
a lot about those second and third tier of players.
And the guy that comes in mind is DeAndre Tillman,
guy who played in the USFL and at one point
I guess he paid to be a part of the
developmental league. But how do you see you know, his

(12:08):
skills said fitting into what Van Josh wants to do defensively.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
Yeah, Tillman's story is great. I got to report on
it a little bit back in the Spring, because I
hadn't realized that, right. We knew that he had played
in the in the UFL or USFL, but when he started,
they had that thing called the Spring League, which is
basically kind of like a trial runing experiment type league
that was going to ultimately lead into you know, the USFL.

(12:35):
And you know, so, yeah, paid like I think twenty
five hundred bucks or whatever it was to be able
to kind of get the exposure in that league, and
then that leads into three years in a spring league,
which is basically an eternity for a guy trying to
get to the NFL. But he's a guy, you know.

Speaker 5 (12:51):
I think one of the.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
More interesting comments of the spring was when Sean Payton
was talking about Nick Benito and he says, Hey, this
is a guy we really got to watch his snapcount.
I think that's something that we have to be honest enough.
And at first you're like, oh, well, this is a
guy who had seven of his thirteen and a half
sacks in the fourth quarter. But Benito himself the other
day said, yeah, my body I felt like was breaking
down a little bit at the end of the year.
So that's kind of a focus for them, is just

(13:14):
having everybody a little more fresh by the end of
the year. And part of that is playing a guy
like Filman Moore. I think he's ready for it. He
didn't have to play a spring season this year, which
for him was new.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
You know.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
Jonah ellis obviously dealing with the shoulder injury that he's
coming back from from the Buffalo game. And then yeah,
Hugh Robinson is a guy that again tops during during
the offseason program, you know, caveats with with the the
the contact and all that aside. He looks like a
guy that is you know, you could see why they're
high on him. Yeah, it's going to be critical and

(13:45):
you look at that and they again that front seven
has has really benefited from, you know, really good injury outcomes,
Like can they do that again? And if not, Yeah,
who are going to be those guys that give you
a little bit because you can't you can't afford to
have a big falloff, you know, from your first to
second guys. And I think they're finally at a place now.
You know. I thinks a lot of the work George

(14:05):
Peyton has done and Sean coming in here is just like, hey,
we don't have this dramatic falloff, even drafting a guy
like Savion Jones. I think now on the defensive line,
you know that that's that's not it's fall a far
of a falloff when you're when you're talking about potentially
if you have to be without JFM or Zach Allen
for some kind of period of time.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
So when Nick cosmidor or the athletic you know Nick,
it's a kind of an interesting position for this Broncos team.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
As some of the betting data was released over the
last couple of days, the.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Broncos are the largest favorite in Week one against the
Tennessee Titans and are the most bet team of any
division to win their division. Sort of an optimism surrounding
that never Broncos that hasn't existed in nearly a decade.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Yeah, And I think that's probably why we we got
a little bit more of a surly version of Sean
Payton during the offseason season program. I think he knows
that this is a team that you know, has a
real chance to be good, but but he is the
term last year. You know, you have those rock in
the shoe days where you know the coaching staff, he

(15:08):
kind of gets on them to get on, you know,
the team a little bit more. So that's one of
the things that I'm that I'm curious about because he
was the one that the Super Bowl, you know, that says, hey,
you know, we're going to be a problem, and so
he kind of set this all in motion. And now,
you know, the rest of the hype trains is kind
of catching up to that, and so now he's got
to be the one to kind of stand in front

(15:29):
of it and say all right, hey, we haven't we
haven't done it, we haven't done squat yet. And but
you can you.

Speaker 6 (15:34):
Can understand why again, I just looked.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
Down that defensive roster and you know, I got asked
the other day, like, you know, how did that not
go well for them? And really outside of injury, which
is always such a huge part of this sport, like
I just really like what they've done, what they have,
you know, the continuity part of that. And then if
Bonix is who they think he is, like they're they're

(15:56):
going to be able to to be to have more
just to have more answers, to have more rebuttals to
what teams are trying to do on both sides of
the ball. That I think all adds up to a
lot of optimism.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
What's that optimism?

Speaker 4 (16:11):
Nick?

Speaker 5 (16:12):
I mean, where are you really on this team?

Speaker 3 (16:14):
And for me, I don't like to get into grades
and trying to predict this season will outcome.

Speaker 5 (16:22):
But if you had to say, okay, well, what makes this.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
Season a successful season for the Broncos. Don't feel pressure
to give me a record. But what needs to happen
in order for you to say, okay, well it was
a successful season.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
Yeah, I think you just need to see more, Like Mark,
I think it's a start in the rate of season.
I think I just think you need to see more
marquee victories, right, Like some of those games like last
year you look at obviously Tampa Bay. You know, Denver
was owing to Tampa Bay was two and zero. The
Buccaneers ultimately did become a playoff team like that, that
was a game that you kind of went and you said, hey,

(16:59):
this was this was the heck of a victory. Really
got them rolling against a good team. You take that away,
they just really didn't have a lot of those those wins. Right.
Obviously had the great chance in Kansas City. You know
they're in week nine or week ten, you know, but
getting one of those games against the Chargers or you know,
beating a team like Baltimore. I just think that's what

(17:20):
you kind of need to show, right Like, you need
to show that you're not just some team that is,
you know, scrappy and trying to stay in these games
till the end and then giving yourself a punter's chance.
You need to show that you can stand toe to
toe with a couple of those teams. So that's what
I'm eager to see would be number one. And then
you do need some sort of playoff outcome, whether that's
you know, being able to host the game because you

(17:41):
went and won the division for the first time since
twenty fifteen, or because you you were a loild card
and you were able to win a game like I
think that would be you know, a big mark of
a step forward. Now are their outcomes where you have
a really good season, you do some good stuff, and
the playoff thing doesn't happen. I mean, look at Detroit.
I don't necessarily think that like Lions fans are completely

(18:02):
just you know set up or thinking that that that
team is still not on a good trajectory. But I
but I just do think you need to see some progress.
One of those things that's as much record as it
is like just seeing that this is a team that's
a little bit tougher, for a little bit more physical
and a little more feared from other teams in the league.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Nick Cosmoto, the Athletic look forward to catching up with
you out there tomorrow and getting that first practice in.

Speaker 4 (18:26):
Man, let's do it. Thanks guys, appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (18:29):

Speaker 2 (19:10):
There you go, nailed it. Five six six zero is
the text line. Quite a few uh texts coming in.
We'll get some of that.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
I think Prophets said he was he was teasing you
about the Skyline chili.

Speaker 7 (19:26):
Yeah, I sent him a text because I didn't want
him to be mad that I told him to shut up.
But I was just teasing him as well. And I'm
sure profit can make a mean chili, probably even better
than Skyline.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Yeah yeah, I mean, I mean mine is the diabetes
huh yeah. I make I make my award winning chili
once a year for the for the Super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (19:46):
A minute, the one that comes out of the can,
Ben doesn't.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
We don't use can anything, Absolutely not.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
I have a homemade chili that I make once a
year every year, and uh right for super Bowl. And
that's that's your opportunity to have some if you would
like something.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
So diabetes diabet us.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
If somebody remixed Wilford Brimley, the.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Internet never loses.

Speaker 5 (20:10):
I guess undefeated.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
Since since this year, I'm you know, right across the street.
Maybe I'll bring up out of chili over here. I
won't hold my breath.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
Just make sure he's not the one, but the CanYa
those are known will call us a lot of flattery
that we don't do.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
We don't do cans. I don't put beans in there.
I don't need flavorless filler. I got it.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
My chili is hardy enough. Absolutely not chili has bean. No,
it is not flavorless. It is a flavorless filler for
don't take the chili pardy enough.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
But Skyline is not really.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
Skyland has like thirty thirty two grams of sugar in
the two caline chili is like worse for you than
two Big Max.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
It has like the it is like the calorie and
sugar content of two KOs.

Speaker 7 (20:53):
Double downs, but it tastes delicious, like eating the ks
chicken in between two donuts or something or whatever.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
That's yeah, say some old buddy Y'all Over the weekend,
I was reported the NFL Players Association with a port
and appoint an interim executive director before Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Well, tuesdays arrived, and obviously a vote hasn't happened.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
NFLPA president Jayalen Reeves Mabon, who's been silent throughout all
the recent issues and controversies engulfing the union, finally spoke
for a statement issued today UH promising a vote on
an interim executive director in the near future. This whole
thing has just been wild, as Lloyd Howell foundly got

(21:34):
outed for some of his air quotes expenditures at the
Gentleman's Club.

Speaker 5 (21:39):
I like how you called him expenditure. That's what he
called him.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
He called them necessary expenditures that were there for team
building in morale. That's what he listed to go to
the Strip Club under. You know he got oust did andy.
He resigned from the Carlisle Group as well.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
J C.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Tretoror who Shenanigan's and covering a lot of this uph
probably led to his ousters. He resigned. He went on
the Dan Patrick Show and told his version of events.
Although I am telling you there's a treasure trove of
information that Jay C. Treader absolutely does not want out
there right now, trust me. I know, I don't I
tell you guys not to do. Trust me, bro I'm
not going to talk about this because it's not my

(22:14):
story to tell, but that person shared some of it
with me. Oh, I how is the NFLPA and how
are the players reacting and former players reacting?

Speaker 4 (22:23):
Right now?

Speaker 1 (22:23):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (22:23):
This circus that's going on with the Players Association.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
It all depends on who you talk to, because it
is frustrating with the number of guys that I've spoken to,
because everyone's just trying to find understanding how did we
get to this point? And it's not one of these
things where you can just kind of, you know, twinle
your nose, snap your fingers and it all goes away,

(22:47):
even though that's what most of us would like to happen.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
But you have to answer some questions.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
And that starts with someone actually making a statement. I know,
you know re has maybeen made a statement, but it
was a written statement.

Speaker 5 (23:03):
At some point you have to come out and someone has.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
To answer some of these tough questions as to how
do things kind of matriculate and get to this particular point,
because there's no way when you have Lloyd Howell in
charge of I guess the PA their decision making from
an executive director board, and he's taking trips to the

(23:26):
Shoe Model Club, right, well, technically speaking, that's exactly what
it is, yes, exactly right.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
So how is it that PA funds are being misused
in that way?

Speaker 3 (23:47):
And how is it that guys or don't understand what's
going on. Your Your job is to inform guys to
keep them in the loop, and when you do this,
it causes a lot of concern.

Speaker 5 (24:00):
It's almost like being.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
In a relationship where you know your significant other cheats
on you and you're like, okay, well they're telling me
they're sorry, and we're trying to mutually pick up the pieces,
but it makes it really difficult to believe anything that
they're saying.

Speaker 5 (24:18):
And that's kind of where things.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Are right now, you know, full disclosure for me, the
executive committee, those guys have to go, every single one
of them has to go. And the reason I say
this is that they were part of putting Lloyd Howell

(24:41):
into place.

Speaker 5 (24:43):
So was JC.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
Now. Jac made a scene as though, well he had
to resign because he was trying to get himself to
be the interim executive director, and I did that. Maybe
his family people were saying things, but it's like, what
do you think is going to happen when individuals feel
as though you had a lot to do with where

(25:04):
things are at this point, but you still want them
to vote you in as executive Interim executive director is
like hell.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
No, because that was always his thing. He was always
gunning for that job.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
J C.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Trender had been, had been working his way to get
to that job.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
So with that being said, now you don't have to
be a rocket scientist to figure this out. And let's
just say, even if it were not true, all rows
points to something don't look right.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
And I was always told if it walks.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
Like a duck and it sounds like a duck, demmit,
I bet we're gonna go elm before then you shoot
it right.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
And no, it's I mean, and it is from the
outside looking in. And I don't know if the average fan.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Is is eyebrow raised about this as is maybe I am,
But I'm just this is just wild to me. How
you know they were using this as they were using
the PA as a piggy bank for themselves, and you know,
and then and then.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
Thought they were gonna get away with it.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Well, isn't that usually how things happen when someone's in
the position of power.

Speaker 5 (26:10):
You don't think that other.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
People are going to find out and ideas that all
you need to do is pull in more people.

Speaker 5 (26:16):
If all of us are in agreement, then who's going
to tell on the other person?

Speaker 2 (26:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (26:23):
No, one.

Speaker 5 (26:24):
I don't know. I don't know anyone who's.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
Drives an issues if if money's going into everyone's pocket
or if they if everyone has something to win.

Speaker 5 (26:32):
I mean, you don't want to disrupt that flow, right.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Fin will be back tomorrow after the Rockies. I will
sit in with him as well.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
Rockies and Saint Louis Cardinals coming up tonight. Eric Fetty
for the Cards three and nine with a four point
eight three E. R. Bradley Blaylock for the Rockies zero
and two with a nine seven.

Speaker 7 (27:01):
Before you guys give your bets for showing me the money,
I just want to let you know in full disclosure,
so can like a Rockies win tonight?

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Why is that? Because I will be there. You sure
in this weather? Be careful under you all right now?
These clouds are little ominous.

Speaker 7 (27:16):
Yeah, maybe it'll get delayed by like twenty thirty minutes
so I can make it for first pitch.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Hey, god, it's got to be a night there. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
We had a textor text in there's a three car
head on collision on Highway ninety three, So you'll be
careful out there. Those clouds look come on his bone
dry here, but it looks ominous out there right now.
Rockies of course lost last night to go to twenty
four and seventy six on the season. Grant, you seem

(27:46):
to think that you are the good luck char So
do I need to I need to pivot my wager?

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Well, I'm just letting you know. Okay, I've had a
Rocky Rocky shirt.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
He does the Rocky shirt and some shorts on too,
which is usually about you shown a little calf right now.

Speaker 7 (28:04):
You know, I had to show Nick what good legs
look like instead of having this year twiggly things.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
That's the thing that's it's interesting because like you know,
the Bible, it's a mistranslation. The golden calfs were actually Grants,
you know Grant's legs.

Speaker 3 (28:16):
Yeah, before you used to wear Rocky's hat and be
you stop wearing What was the reason behind that again?

Speaker 7 (28:25):
Because you kept giving me crap because every time I
wear it in here and they lost and blame it
on me. That it's fair the won't wearing the hat. Yeah,
I mean you were the one blaming me for their losses.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
It was kind of coincidental that you know that kind
of got it's.

Speaker 7 (28:38):
All ya what I was saying all the time. I
think the way they lose it could you could blame
on any number of things.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Uh, the coverage will start right here, top of the
hour and first pitch six.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
Forty, assuming no rain delay. We'll see how that goes
or lightning delay as it were.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
But Yeah, looking like gonna be Eric Fetty against Bradley
play lock as the pitchers the night in that when
Rockies lost was a six to two last night.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Yeah, if he went to and O I did
