Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sam Ellinger. Pirowett's away from pressure rolls so he's right
in trouble, gives ground, He's back past the twenty yard line,
throws a jump ball to the end zone, is caught
for a Denver touchdown. That is rolling with the catch.
I'm not sure how that ball sort of maneuvered through
the air into a host of bodies and Kyries Roland
(00:22):
came down with it.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
That's incredible. I mean, I don't I still don't even
know how that play ultimately worked out, And I guess
it's just some of that preseason magic. But that's our
electrifying play of the game, powered by IBW Local sixty eight.

the new Americana Big Dog three h three seven one,

(00:59):
so I have for the preseason, you know, It's an
interesting deal, right. Sometimes we'll have a bunch of calls
last couple of weeks, a lot of calls tonight. Today,
you guys are done, you guys are tapped out. I mean,
we all had text coming in, so we'll read those.
But yeah, the callers man. Usually this is about time,
although maybe a little early for day drinking.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
So I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
On a Saturday, maybe people are.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Enjoying the nice. Weather's beautiful here in the mile.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
I said, eighty one degrees perfect, absolutely perfect outside, so
maybe got outside to touch some grass. I don't know,
but I hope you enjoyed, and you've been listening to
our broadcast and you're enjoying it as well. And I
can't wait for the regular season to start. Here about
two weeks we will again have cover, starting at eight
a m. On Sunday the seventh, as the Broncos host
the Tennessee Titans. Back to the text line here, our
(01:46):
right tackle got dominated all game. Then they run a
toss sweep to that side predictably for a loss. Yeah,
we could probably could talk a little bit about Mike McGlinchey,
but I still think in the end he's going to
be just Okay, Like I said, I told for the
offensive line that the biggest concern there is more interior
for me. But once again, these are situations to continue
(02:09):
to monitor. I think across the board for everybody, and
you don't really have another option. I guess Alex Polschewski
could be an option there, but you're you're not benching
mcglenchy Bulls minors, and I wondered if guard Jula would
have been healthy, if that would have given you an
option there.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
At left tackle, They're.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Gonna probably have throck Morton, though I don't know if
he'll necessarily make the fifty three. He might be a
guy that because he's a vested bet that you have
a chance to waive and then just bring right back
more like a practice squad call up option you're going
to you know, we'll discuss this afternoon about the numbers,
but for sure eight offensive linemen, right, you got Alex Forsyth,
(02:53):
you got Palzchewski, and you got Matt Parrett, so you're
for sure going with eight offensive linemen. Then it gets
in more of the if you're going to keep rock Morton,
if you're going to keep the guy from Wyoming, what's
his name, Zach that they got last year. I'll look
it up here in a second. But you're gonna keep him.
(03:14):
You might keep him. He was sort of the surprise
last year for the Broncos when they made the fifty
three man roster.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Hey, Zach.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Who is the offensive line of Wyoming that they kept
last year? Frank Crumb, Frank Crumb, thank you. Yeah, big guy,
massive human being. But offensive tackle is one of those
deals where if you feel as though if you cut
the guy and then he won't be able to come
back to you, then I mean that that offensive tackle
is one of those positions.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Same through the cornerback.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
You know, we'll talk about mathis that's probably the most
likely cut candidate. He's number six for your corners. So
that'll be a discussion this afternoon, Adrickstam is going to
be interesting discussion for you guys, interested to hear what
you think of that. And if the Blake Watson injury
impacks anything. It sounds like Julia McLoughlin's gonna make the roster.
(04:04):
I mean, he didn't play today. Hopefully everything's going well
with the birth of his child, as we heard from
Sean Payton after words. But you know you don't play
in that last game. It's either you've made their I mean,
for the most part, it usually means you've made the roster.
So Julia McLoughlin's on, I'd say Tyler, but days on
and at that point that's that's tough news for Blake Watson.
(04:26):
You'd probably bring back to the practice squad. Same thing
with Audric ust to May but estimate, I don't know.
I don't really know about that one.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Let's go to the phones.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Three on three, seven one, three eighty five eighty five.
Pat in Arizona, you're up next year on Broncos React.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (04:39):
Pat? Hey?
Speaker 5 (04:41):
How you doing? Another exciting game? Man?
Speaker 6 (04:44):
Hey?
Speaker 5 (04:45):
They made preseason a lot of fun and I'd just
like to give my seasons prediction. I think. But since
they're playing nine games at home, uh, they're gonna win
maturity of those. And that's good because when when the
Broncos are in front of the home fans, they play
their hearts out. You know, it's a it's a good
(05:05):
place to be for them. And I think they're gonna
win at least seven maybe eight on their home and
I think on the road they're gonna sneak out better
than five hundred. I think they may go, Oh, let
me see, we've got nine game no wins. We have
nine at home. Seven means we have eight on the road.
I'd say they're gonna go five and three on the road,
(05:28):
and I think they're gonna be a good position for
the AFC playoffs. And it's gonna be Kansas City. It's
gonna be the Deamon. Oh yeah, they got watched up
for Kansas San Diego. But I think that's what I'm
looking at. And the boy they're exciting bo Nicks and
subtl in man way to connection. That's gonna happen a
lot this year. And it's this great game, and hey,
(05:53):
thank you for having the game and taking my call.
I appreciate it there.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah, Pat appreciate your call. I like the optimism. That's
too optimistic calls right away early on Broncos react. You
get on Twitter and people are losing their minds about
the offense and the run game and bo Nix and
especially after that first drive, Holy cal you go three
and out minus two yards overall including the penalty. The
next drive you put together, think eleven plays, but you
(06:19):
end up settling for a field goal. But a lot
of Broncos fans were unhappy, like very very unhappy with
the way that the Broncos offense sort of started this game.
But that six play, seventy seven yard touchdown drive was
a really big deal, and I think that did sort
of calm a lot of the frustrations from Broncos country.

Speaker 7 (06:51):
How you doing right?
Speaker 3 (06:52):
I'm great, man. It's good to hear from you.
Speaker 7 (06:54):
It's good to hear from you too. I mean bo Nicks.
It's three O D. I think that everybody can see
while we have that quarterback now he went with one
hundred and ten one hundred and twelve yards. Court lind Son,
You've got eighty three of those receptions, So we got
(07:15):
a pair right there. For everybody that was saying that
the offense wasn't clicking, it is clicking and I'm looking
forward to it. I didn't reach out in the past
two games, although I listened to Serious Show and React
every single week. Honestly, Ryan, you call the Von I
(07:36):
mean the the Von Vallet trade.
Speaker 8 (07:38):
You call it on it.
Speaker 7 (07:40):
You got to have your flowers, I'm telling you, you
got to have those flowers more. And I'm so happy
that everything is turning right for the Broncos. We got
the draft picks, we got everything right. The team's trending
in the right direction. We are Super Bowl contenders. And
it wasn't a blah blah. It's happening, and it's happening.
(08:01):
How Bronco's country understand that? And let's go maybe let
me tell you just one more time right before the season.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Let's go, buck Gos.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Appreciate that, Ariel, And yes, the Divine Valley thing was
really fun this week. If you wanted to get our
reaction or hear our reaction to it. The only thing
that I would have loved to change in timing is
whatever it is is. I wish we were on air
when that came down, Like we had just gone to break.
He was around four fifty five or so and the
(08:37):
news came in and I was I was beaming around
the studio.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
I was screaming at Ben.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
I was pointing at him because he had I had
been pretty dismissive. Now he remembers it differently because that's
what Ben does. But earlier in the show he basically
told me I was an idiot more or less.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Again, he won't say it like that, but he did.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
And he told me that he wouldn't happen and Tvan
Bailey's a starter, he owned trade, starters on and so
forth and whatever, And then of course the trade happens
and Ben was stunned. I mean just stunned for a
guy that talks for a living. It seemed like somebody
had dang near stole his tongue out of his face.
(09:20):
I mean, he didn't have He barely had anything to
say for almost an hour, and I of course had
plenty to day. It was great shout out to Zach
Segers by the way as well, because Zach and I, well,
Zach Zak and I talked about it actually earlier that weekend.
As I mentioned to Zach, I was half asleep when
we were having that conversation. But it was something that
and it had come up and Broncos react the night
before too. People had sort of asked about options for trade.
(09:43):
Bailey came up, talked about estimate. People were still trying
to trade Jarrett stid him all those kinds of things,
and none of that, None of that really was going
to happen ultimately. But yeah, I wanted to give Zach
a quick shout out, Who's been working all day on
the board since eight am this morning, worked in the game,
and now here with me in Broncos Reacts act.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
That was some good stuff by you two. Thank you
very much.
Speaker 9 (10:06):
Yeah, glad to be here after a pretty fun Broncos game.
You know, I'm feeling pretty good about the team, pretty
excited for the season.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Yeah, and we got some really good calls already. Like
I said, the optimistic view on the Broncos early on,
I wondered, I did wonder if some of the views
would be more pessimistic. But again, you and three to
zero in the preseason, and you won by double digits
except for today you won by nine, but you won
by double digits in the other two games. Five six, six,
nins your aisle. Let's get it back to the text
line here eighty one. And I bet you still have
(10:37):
a flannel shirt on. Yeah, I don't have a flannel.
I'm not wearing flannel. I want were in a hoodie today.
It was a little chilly this morning. I thought flannel,
but I decided to go hoodie because it was early,
very early in the morning. Eighty one. Yeah, Jerwan Newton
is he's a good player, man. They got some good
wide receivers. And once again, the decision to trade Devon
Veley wasn't just about because of how good your top
(10:59):
five is, because of who the next five are. Two
in the next five, honestly, I have a claim as
well to be on the fifty three.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Certainly three of them probably are going to be on.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Your practice squad at minimum, and that's not even getting
into Michael Bandy. That's an option there. Who's a guy
that's been on your practice squad for quite some time.
But yeah, I like Juwan Newton. I've talked about Joaquin Davis,
Corney Jackson, who's been a returner for you. There's good
there's good arguments for all of them. At Perry. It's
(11:33):
a good room. It's a really good room. And I
love when Sean gets a chance to tell us about
what he thinks of the depth because oftentimes, you know,
like last year, for example, it was very difficult doing
this show heading into the season because I felt like
(11:53):
I was arguing constantly with national media and even some
people that were calling in with how talented this roster is,
and I felt like I was going to die on
that hill. I was fine dying on the hill of
this was a more talented roster than they were given
credit for it. You fast forward a year and they
brought back eighty six percent of that roster, and then
they only added to it, and now all of a sudden,
(12:15):
they're considered a top ten roster in the league with
very little turnover. So one thing can't be true. It
can't be a bad roster that all of a sudden
became this glorious butterfly out of a cocoon, Like, we
can't you can't have it both ways. But I remember
last year arguing with people on this show specifically about
the overall talents of the roster, and so many times
(12:37):
people would say, oh, this isn't a very good roster,
and they're not going to be very good, and Vegas
has him a five and a half and so on
and so forth. It's like not a lot of household names,
but they certainly have the ability to develop into something more.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
And that's kind of the fruits of the labor that
we're seeing.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
So I always love when Sean gets up there and
talks about how great this team is, how deep this
roster is, and we all get a chance to ultimately
agree with him instead of just say wow.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Of course he has to say that it's his team.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
He's the one that he's the architect of it in
a lot of ways, because they're players that he wanted here.
But on the flip side of that coin, they are
players that he wanted here. So if the Broncos do
struggle this year in a lot of ways, I mean,
Zach doesn't want to admit this because he's, you know,
been anti George for a long time, but a lot
of ways it would be on Sean.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
I'm mess with.
Speaker 9 (13:27):
Hey, I think you know, the beautiful cocoon or caterpillar
blossoming into a butterfly is a product of coaching and development,
and I think it's a little column A, a little
colin B. You've got to draft the right players who
have the aptitude for development, and you need the right
coaching to develop them.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
It's a lot of words to say Ryan was right,
Thank you, Zach, appreciate that. Five six six Hinty zeros
or Kwa Comma spirit health text line. Speaking of trades,
who else in the roster could be a dark horse
trade candidate? Before the Watson injury, I would have suggested
Tyler Bid.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I got a few people hit me up on Twitter
earlier asking me about Jaqua McMillan and Cad crisiab and
those guys are not going anywhere. The Broncos love having
depth there. Dark horse candidate hmm, I don't know. I
don't think there is one. I don't know, Zack, is
there anybody that pops into your brain as a dark
(14:21):
horse candidate?
Speaker 9 (14:23):
Ben said they were shopping Estimate around and I thought
there's no way they'll get a call on that. I
still think they almost definitely don't. But you know, he
was a fifth round draft pick last year. Maybe someone
still has a draftable grade on him, and then he
had a good game today. Maybe that's enough to get
a seventh or even like some late round pick swap
or something.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
But that's not a dark horse candidate.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
We've been talking about Audric Estime as a bubble guy
for a long time, and I understand why the question
comes in. It's be like, well, Hey, you you do
seem to have pretty decent depth of corner, but that's
a position you want to have depth.
Speaker 9 (14:53):
Ad What do you think about Sternad or Singleton? Maybe
if you feel really good about that depth with Vell
Bailey and Jordan Turner what they showed this year, you
know you have Drew Sanders coming back eventually. That gives
you three four young guys you feel good about, along
with Drake Greenlaw. Maybe you moves or not move Singleton
and Bank on the youth depth. I mean, it'd be
(15:16):
weird considering how kind of shallow that linebacker room feels.
But maybe if they feel they have one option too many,
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
Yeah, we're searching. I guess that could make a little
bit of sense.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
Maybe the defensive line would be the other one that
if you're searching for, because you do have a decision
to make between Jordan Jackson and any olam Owazrique. So
and I'm not saying one of those two specifically. I'm
just saying that it's a deep defensive line group and
those two are are kind of the the in betweens.
There's there's some people that will be Jordan Jackson people.
There are some people that in Theoma Ojazar Rique guys,
(15:47):
and there's some fifty three mocks that I've seen out
there that have both of them making the roster, and
certainly one that doesn't will be tried to sneak into
the practice squad because you love both of those guys,
and they both played really well in the preseason, and
so yeah, defensive line, maybe linebacker. I remember I was
having a conversation before training camp about Alex Singleton specifically,
(16:09):
and about hey, Drake Greenlaw's here, which might make Alex
Singleton a casualty, right, a cap casualty.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
But then Drey got hurt.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
And then Alex Singleton got hurt, and now all of this,
and then Drew Sanders also got hurt, So you were
suddenly in a position where, actually, we want to hold
on to as many of these inside linebackers as we can.
And I mean, you bring up a good point about
Jordan and about Lavelle Bailey and about how they're performing,
but I don't see starting caliber with any of those guys.
(16:44):
So it just feels like a position that you would
be really risking a lot by doing something there, and
I don't know what kind of return would be so
worth it, like you're not going to get the quote
unquote Devon Veley trade a top one hundred pick for
any of those guys. Was I mean obviously with Dre,
but that that's not a different that's a different conversation.
Speaker 9 (17:05):
Well, and then the Divine Valley case, you could also
argue there was more of a reason for doing it too.
He as good of a player as he was, there
was a downside to keeping him on the roster, which
was potentially having to inactivate either Pat Brian or Troy Franklin.
Who are these exciting young prospects. You know, you're not
really worried about having to inactivate Jordan Turner as good
(17:25):
as his preseason has been, so I think there you
bring up defensive line. I think that's a great point.
I if they somehow felt so great about their depth
behind Malcolm Roach, maybe they could find a way to
part with him. I imagine there'd be demand around the league.
I doubt they want to part with him though, when
they're really trying to compete for the division this year.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
You know, the only one I thought of as I
was saying defensive line, and because I think they absolutely
love Malcolm Roach, they love what he brings to the room,
his energy that just feels like he performs at a level,
plus what he brings as far as personality to the
locker room. About JFM. And again, it's not to say
that this is something I'm hoping for, right, but I
(18:04):
was asked dark horse candidate, right, So then you have
to sort of expand your mind.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
A little bit.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
And it's it like it's three o'clock.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
In the afternoon. I'm not used to doing this.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
I'm just kidding, but yeah, you expand your horizons in
perspective of Okay, well you like Jordan Jackson and any
certainly I'm Malcolm roach save On Jones's luck for this roster.
That's that's sort of your future JFM guy. So did
you see enough out of save On to say, we're
(18:35):
okay taking the lumps early on, giving him some more
run in his rookie season, and maybe you could get
something for JFM. I I would think that would be
put in the cart before the horse, a bit that
would probably be looked. I think people couldn't talk themselves
into de von Valley like you and I were talking
(18:56):
about Devon Vley and I was talking with some people
out of the Broncos you know, some of the other
media members about it, and it's just a logical thing, right.
It wasn't anything negative about Devon. It was more about
the rest of the roster. Now. I don't think weny
of Us thought they would get a fourth and a
seventh for him, but I thought that there was some
value there and it gave you some flexibility through roster,
(19:19):
which was more the important point of the whole thing.
But then you start to think about the other position
groups and what could you get in return.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
I don't even know what JFM on a one year
deal is going to get you.
Speaker 9 (19:33):
Yeah, and who would be interested in such a thing?
You know, the Bills, the Chiefs, the Ravens, the teams
that are trying to win right now in the AFC.
I think that would be a big hold up on
it too, is you know, like you said, Devon Valet,
there's at least a case that you're not necessarily hurting
your win now chances it'd be like at tight end
(19:56):
if Caleb Lohner and pre Scorn were just going off
and you went, hey, you know, maybe Adam Trautman is
suddenly a little expendable or something like that. It was
because the young guys looked so good that it suddenly
became a position you were surprisingly too full at. And
I don't think you're there really any of the others
(20:17):
where you suddenly have an expendable borderline starter caliber player.
Speaker 2 (20:22):

this on the KOI Broncos Radio Network. They're down at three.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
He looks right, steps up, climbs up, pocket flows to
an open receiver. This will be a dimmer first down
and down. The Broncos sideline goes one of the big
tight ends. That is Caleb Looner, the seventh ROND draft
choice out of Utah. Again Ellnger buying himself some time
the pocket starts to break down. He's a good athlete
(21:09):
and it goes as a completion of twenty three yards
first down Denver to the Saints forty six.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
How about Caleb Loder.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
Listen, that's another guy that we debate all the time
as far as the tight end room and what that's
ultimately gonna look like. If they could sneak Caleb Loner
onto the practice squad or are they gonna as a
draft pick try to keep him as a seventh rounder
on the fifty three. Some decisions to make there for
the tight end room as well. Welcome back to Broncos React.

twenty three for Caleb Loner, twenty for Courtney Jackson. You
have some explosive plays today and in the end, you
(22:02):
know forty three targets in the passing game. You threw
it a lot today, but I think some of that
is to do with the running game not really getting
on track until later in the game.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Although I will say Adrick estimate with five point six.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Per carry including a touchdown, maybe there's something to talk
about there. That's our fast stat presented by Expedity introducing

don't always bring these texts to the show, but I
(22:35):
think it's worth it here because I want to maybe
clarify something. Okay, text came in coming in a moment ago.
Since I doubt you were interested in this comment. I'm
listening to you on this postgame show, and I listened
to you occasionally when I have the opportunity to listen
to Koa in the three o'clock show. You are so
full of yourself. How dare you call out and talk
down to your coworkers and other broadcaster colleagues, it's disgracing
(22:56):
and an embarrassment to KOA. Well, I'm assuming I'm assuming
you mean Ben Allbright. I'm assuming you mean Ben all Bright.
And if you haven't ever heard, Ben and I do
shows together, it's kind of our thing. Like we're brothers, right,
and we've known each other a long time. He talks
(23:18):
some trash to me. I talk some trash to him.
There's just a.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
That's just part of our our vibe, if you will.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Not everybody understands it, and maybe you felt like I
was going a little too low on Ben. I don't
know when he gets a chance to talk about me
when I'm not here. He takes his shots the other
night on Broncos Country Tonight, him and Nick we're having
some fun at my expense along with Steve Attwater, and
I'm okay with it.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
It's part of the job.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
It's just part of sports talk radio, but specifically our relationship.
And I apologize if you didn't understand that. I certainly
don't mean to come across this full myself. That's not
really my style. Anybody that knows me personally know that
that's that's not really my thing. I think we all
play up a certain amount on the radio. We're trying
to have some fun, We're trying to be silly at times,
(24:09):
and in this case with Ben, I am reveling in
the fact that he was wrong on this and more
specifically that he dismissed my entire premise in a lot
of ways that Devon Vley could be traded. So he
had the caller on moment ago Ariel was saying, I
deserve some flowers for that. So again sort of the
trash talking, you know, part of that. He kind of
(24:31):
got me stoked for that, said, yeah, hey, you deserve
some flowers for that, for calling that, and that was
very nice of Ariel. But more than anything, I just
I've been having some fun with Ben because it was
very difficult for him, even in that moment on Wednesday night,
to give me many flowers for bringing this entire topic up.
(24:52):
In fact, he was trying to convince me that Troy
Franklin was more likely trade candidate than Devon Vley. So anyways,
I appreciate the comment, I certainly appreciate you listening, and
I'm sorry that you don't understand sort of our sense
of humor here, but it's not personal and Ben, I
promise you is not offended. Okay, you might be offended
(25:14):
because you don't understand it, but I promise you that
Ben is not offended.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
And they give me plenty of crap like him and
Dave both.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
I take a lot from both of those guys, but
I'm okay with it because it's part of like our
love language. If you will, in fact, in fact, I'll
say like this it take this for whatever it is.
I actually, rather than give me crap, then treat me
with kid gloves, if you know what I mean. I'd
rather them say what they're thinking or talk a little
(25:44):
bit of noise and make it competitive like that. Then
if we were to have a very vanilla show where
we just all say nice things unlike each other, and
I mean, that's just not I think we can have
a little more fun than that. So I'm sorry again
that that you don't get it the textures also think
(26:11):
that you have no idea what you're talking about, which
is great. I didn't bring this up for what it's worth.
I didn't bring this text up to get the support.
I appreciate the support. You guys are great. You guys
are amazing, and we have wonderful textures and callers, but yeah,
just a weird kind of text here like how how
dare I? And I'm a disgrace and embarrassment to Kowa?
Like okay, all right, I mean, you know, some feelings
(26:34):
were hurt. Maybe there's some you know, we could get
Dave back in your on Monday and get you on
the couch. You know, we do the therapy sessions. Maybe
there's something in your childhood that we need to dig into.
I don't know, but obviously this triggered you. And for that,
I you know, I apologize. Maybe you listened to sports
talk rad you listen to postgame shows as a result,
(26:56):
to feel better about yourself and not be confronted with
things that trigger you. Sports talk radio by design in
a lot of ways. For me, is is just an
opportunity to talk about a game and relate to each
other in our community, and the Broncos are are such
(27:20):
a community. Rights It's not just about the team, it's
about how we relate to it. And part of that is, Hey,
we're hanging out figuratively, we're hanging out at a bar
and we're watching the game. We're chopping it up, and
you know, your Buddy says something that's kind of a
hot take, and you go, that's ridiculous. That's the most
insane thing I've ever heard. And Okay, let me explain myself.
(27:44):
I'm going to continue to go down this path. So
that for me is the beauty of sports talk radio,
and including with my shows with Ben. Let's I said,
We've known each other for over a decade. We've done
probably close to five hundred maybe even more shows together.
We've traveled a lot together. We just had that relationship
and so what beIN comes on here, He's gonna say
(28:06):
some things to me, I'm gonna say some things to him,
and that's just kind of our vibe. So anyways, but
I do appreciate you guys texting it and and for
the support, and you guys are the best. I love
I love getting listen. I love getting to do this.
I'm sorry the text you don't understand it, but I
love getting to do this. I love relating to you guys.
I love this community that we have here, not only
(28:28):
on Broncos React, but on KOI Sports weekdays from.
Speaker 3 (28:30):
Three to six.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
Back to the Phone's Kyle, You're up next year on
Broncos React, I Hey, it's not quite regular season, Kyle,
and we're not quite with PSL, but it's close.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
My friend is very very close.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
How are you.
Speaker 6 (28:43):
I'm jumping at the bit the pump device. It's at
my local Starbucks and the local barisas are kind of
hiding it from me. Right now, It's okay, they're gonna
give it to me. It's also Woolsock season two, nice,
and then we're also back to Wet Blanket season two,
so it's almost there. It's part of that, man, that
between you and Ben is the whole reason why I'm
(29:03):
you know, seeing and you've been a part of Broncos
Country tonight and listening to you and Dave on the
afternoon show has been absolute delight. But that being said,
you know, just kind of some questions I had here.
I mean, I love, I'm loving what I'm seeing from
the second and third team, just with you know, controlling
(29:26):
the scoreboard and watching a lot of other preseason games,
and this is the first time I think the score
has gone over you know, nineteen close to twenty for
the other opponents while the Broncos continue to keep you know,
finding ways to find success. I thought it was a
little bit questionable with this whole wide zone scheme. I
don't know how you feel about it as well, Ryan,
(29:47):
just because it's there's a lot of pressure coming from
up the middle and I don't know. I know you
said the tackles, I know the features that well, but
I just don't think it's jellying as well off the rent.
I mean, we've we had some success after the same
defense was quieted down with that to Mario Davis penalty,
(30:07):
but it was good drive featuring Sutton for four catches
in the touchdown. I didn't like how it looked hard,
but obviously this is just kind of where we're at
and this point of the season. So I also wanted
to know maybe a cool moment Sean Payton making sure
that that ress checked in on that woman on that
that was hit by that football by Sam Ellinger. I
(30:29):
think the defense continued to show out, and I don't
know what do you think their overall thoughts are for
the slow start of the offense and working out the kinks.
I thought Devon Vailey was kind of bo Nix's security
blanket sometimes, So who can that next guy be? So
just can't wait for Broncos season, can't wait for more
Broncos reacting. Let's go baby, love.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
It, Kyle appreciate the call, man. Yeah, so's a few
things to break down there. So, first of all, the
wide zone, I feel as though the decision to do
more of that, and I'm not saying they're going to
commit to it for the full season, but I think
that when they had a chance to go back and
watch the film of the running game, they recognize that
it just wasn't working. I mean, flat out, it just
was not working the way they were approaching it, whether
(31:10):
it's a combination of the talent of the running backs
or the blocking scheme. I thought it was a very
interesting and telling comment from Adam Trautman last week when
he more or less through the coaching staff in some
ways under the bus. But he basically said, well, we're
practicing something that we're actually implementing in the games, and
that's not something we've always done.
Speaker 3 (31:31):
More or less, he said that I could play the
cut if you guys want to.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
But I mean that's he kind of intimated there are
things that they have historically practiced that didn't always bring
into the games, and he was happy to see that
they were going to commit to this and they were
going to do this, so I would give it some time.
And I think we have to give it some time.
But yeah, now you're into the regular season. So if
you get to four weeks and you're failings who eclipse
(31:56):
one hundred rushing yards per game and it still looks disjointed,
then what do you sub out offensive lineman?
Speaker 3 (32:02):
Do you change the SKA?
Speaker 2 (32:04):
I mean, there's there's options, but I think that you
got to give this probably a month or two. That's
my take. I think you give the wide zone look
a month or two to see if it's ultimately going
to work for your team. You've got players on this
team that can run it and somewhere more natural running it,
like Mike McGlinchey and I and Garrett Poles has the
(32:25):
athleticism to do whatever you need him to do, but he,
along with Quinn Minors, I think that this group as
a whole are better for it. But it's got to
be working like results are what the results are. To
Kyle's point, de von Veley and who's going to predict
pick up that productivity? Ben and I were debating this
and discussing a couple of days ago. You almost think
(32:48):
that maybe initially it'll be more of an Evan Ingram conversation.
I think Courtland Sutton remains what he is. Evan Ingram
might get more work as that quote unquote security blanket
that Kyle was pointing out, because you didn't have a
tight end like him on the roster last year and
he was already kind of built in for that. But
maybe there's just a bit more Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin.
(33:10):
Maybe there's a little bit more opportunity for them, but
they're not the security blanket guys. There's opportunities to get
the ball quickly and let them take it up field, right,
I mean, those are all those are all options. And
then there's Pat bryan who I'm I'm very excited about.
I think a lot of people are very excited about
Pat Bryant. But maybe the early expectations for the season
(33:32):
should be tampered or tempered a little bit. And it's
not to say that he can't be an explosive star
right out of the gates. It's just if you go
Corland Siddon to Evan Ingram and then maybe your third
receiving option is actually your running backs, well then you
know where does where does Pat Brian come in? Maybe
(33:53):
he's got to get two or three catches a game,
which would be nice as a rookie. Three all three,
set one three, eighty five, eighty five, five, six, six
nine zero. A couple of text here, really quick, Ryan,
they give you all the well deserved crap. However you
do troll them at a master level. I'll take that
as a I'll take that as a win. That's fine.
(34:13):
I know I say things that.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
For the for the show.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Understand that there's a bit of a roll, right and
I want to get into in the weeds on that,
But there's a little bit of I am trying to
get as sort of the driver of the show, if
you will. I'm trying to get the most out of
the guys I'm working with, including Dave. So sometimes I
gotta say things. I want to say things. I believe them,
but I say things to get a bit of a
reaction at him, and so Dave, if he has a
(34:39):
strong reaction to me, that is good for the show,
and ultimately I'm doing my job. Now Again, it's not
to say that I'm sensationalizing anything. I may be playing
it up a hair or two But the fact is
is I don't say things on the show that I
don't believe or at least that I can argue this.
Will and David Ryan are the main reason to listen
(35:02):
to KOA very kind. I appreciate you, win Yogi chiming in.
You should give Ben some craft for texting in about
your earning your flowers and bust out a PSL some
flannel and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. You're the best
in bin is also pretty good. See that's what I'm
talking about, win Yo. That's that's what I'm talking about.
(35:23):
It's harmless fun. I promise you the texter that sending
that text earlier, there is nobody that is offended.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
I take that back.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
You are three oh three seven one, three eighty five
eighty five five six, six nine zero Again if you
want to interact with our show, Today's game is presented
by Children's Hospital of Colorado Official Children's Hospital of the
Denver Broncos.
Speaker 3 (35:45):
We'll be right back on the Kawa Broncos right.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
New network got to be hit before he can release
the football. It fumbled and I think the Broncos may
have it. They do so Karemi Reid recovered the ball.
K Robinson was the one that knocked that out of
the hands that quarterback Tyler shuck. So the Broncos offense
turns it over and the Broncos defense comes right.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
Back with a strip sack by ke Robinson.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
How about ke Robinson? Now, again, there was never a
doubt that ke Robinson was going to be in the roster,
at least for me. Now maybe some people out there
would debate differently, but there was never a doubt for
me that Kean Robinson was a lock for this roster.
And he's made play after play in training camp and OTAs.
Speaker 3 (36:25):
He was a big star out there.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
We've we've been talking about kel Robinson now for months
and he had the strip sack fumble today. Kareing Reid
got the recovery and it was cool too because it
you know, and it sort of ended up setting up
I remember, I think the very next play was, or
a couple of plays later, was the Oudrick Estimate.
Speaker 3 (36:44):
That's right, Adrick Estimate got the five yard touchdown, so
it gave the.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
Broncos the ball right back after Ellinger ended up throwing
an interception, but it was more of a tip pass.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
I mean, I still put it on the quarterback.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
But either way, defense bailed out, the offense got the
ball back, they got a touchdown, and in a lot
of ways. I mean, of course Tyler Shuck get a
touchdown a little bit later on, but the point of
it is is that that's something with the defense backing
up the offense in a moment that they needed it.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
And Keth Robinson has been sensational.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
I continue to say that he's one of the steals
of the draft from everybody I was able to talk to.
Not only was got high remarks from Nick Saban as
a special teams ace, but there were a lot of
people that felt like he was an underutilized talent at Alabama.
He just couldn't see the field because of all the
edge rush and pass rush talent they had there at Alabama,
which you guys know, if you watch any college football,
(37:33):
you know what Alabama's front seven tends to look like
every single year. So kee Robinson making plays for the Broncos.
I mean, he's not going to usurp any of the
top guys on this roster just yet, but as a
developmental prospect, that's that's exciting stuff to see. And he'll, hey,
he'll have a role this year. He will have a role.
Now I don't know if he's going to I mean,
I don't know what that ultimately equates to without injury,
(37:54):
because your top four guys are all there, and they're
all performing at a very high level. But when he
gets his opportunities, whether it's on special teams or possibly
on defense, it's it's gonna matter. And so I'm very
excited about h Robinson. Welcome back to Broncos. React on
Ryan Edward's line from the Smash Burger Sports Desk with
the new four ninety nine menu featuring the single all
American Burger, single de Luxe Burger, and the new Americana
(38:18):
Big Dogs Real three seven one three eighty five eighty
five five six six nine zero. He's our text line,
and again, Hey, you guys are awesome. I appreciate all
the very kind words you guys are hitting. Hearing up
on the text line after that text I read a
little bit ago. You guys are the best. Certainly, very grateful.
H I've read all of them here in the break
and it means a lot to me, certainly, and I
(38:38):
am grateful for the opportunity to work with Dave every
day with Ben, with Nick, with Zach, with with all
the crew here. Everybody's trem Shannon, everybody's tremendous here. So
I'm grateful. Let's go back to the phonees. Derek, You're
up next yearround Broncos react with Ryan Edwards. What's up?
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Derek?
Speaker 2 (38:56):
Hey, d Hey, good Man, what's going on?
Speaker 4 (39:00):
Good question for you. What do you think about the
wise zone? Is it a good fit file offense or
do you think inside zone is better for the whole
line that we have.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
I think I think that the concept of it can work.
It's going to take a commitment to it. And the
point I was kind of making right before the break
was there may be some learning curve slash, some bumps
in the process of it. So it's like like I'd say,
if I took individually each offensive lineman and went with
(39:34):
the pros and cons of doing it, I'd say I
find more positive than negative. With the exception of Ben Powers.
Ben Powers, the one guy's really not his strength and
it's not what he's done historically in the league. But
that being the case, that's the only thing, and I
feel like I can work around that, then we're fine. Certainly,
as you know, and I'll let you respond certainly. As
(39:56):
you know, as an offensive line is really only as
strong as the weakest link. So if Ben Powers is
really struggling with it, then that's a discussion to have
whether or not to replace him and or maybe go
back to some of the things you were doing before.
But Derek, I mean you saw last year, man, the
offensive line was not working really well in the run game.
Fine and pass pro, but the running game struggled.
Speaker 4 (40:15):
Correct. That's a good point, man. I played old line
in high school and coach high school football for twenty years.
It's a great point as far as inside zone outside zone.
So my next question to you is why didn't we
play our second spring quarterback the day? Do you think
(40:37):
is he on trade bait or just trying not to
get him hurt for the season.
Speaker 2 (40:44):
I feel like they saw everything they needed to out
of him, and he's he's on this roster, like they
really believe in Jared Stidham as a viable backup quarterback
or something were to happen to Bonicks. To us, they
like the influence he has on Bonnicks in the locker
room as he helps him get ready for the season
or for each individual game. So now I think Jared
Sidham is a lock for this roster and maybe a
(41:05):
little bit of a let's let's give Ellenger some extra
run here, see if maybe he can produce any kind
of trade interest. And I'm not saying that that's what
was happening, but I'm not not saying that that could
have been the case, because Sam Ellinger went out there
and looked pretty good, and honestly, that's the best football
I've seen him play ever his entire career. And there's
(41:28):
this thing, Derek, as you've seen with Sam Darnold, you
saw even with Zach Wilson getting a contract with Miami.
These quarterbacks that have been seen as maybe busts feel
strong for a guy like Sam Ellinger because I don't
know if the expectation was ever the high enough to
be a legit starting quarterback. But they go as they
spend time with Kyle Shanahan or Sean McVay or in
(41:51):
this case, Sean Payton, and teams go, boy, you know,
he really looks good. He's been an off season with
Sean Payton. Huh, you know what, we need a quarterback.
Let's let's go uh, let's go bring him into our
room and we'll give him a certain amount of money.
Speaker 3 (42:05):
Maybe we'll trade a draft pick or two to go
get him.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
So I I wouldn't be shocked if part of the
reason that they did what they did today was to
maybe draw up some interest.
Speaker 4 (42:15):
Okay, Hey, and I definitely enjoy your show sports no Show,
I mean sports dude.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
Yeah, and I mist the gal man the gal Yeah.
Speaker 4 (42:25):
I made it so funny, ah man with no story
that you tell Man, it was crazy.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
Yeah, no doubt, Derek. Yeah, and I missed his laugh.
Speaker 6 (42:35):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (42:35):
He had the one of the best laughs. Uh in
all all of radio. There's no denying that.
Speaker 5 (42:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (42:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (42:42):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (42:43):
Let's go Broncos, Man, hopefully we have a good year.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
Stay help me appreciate that, Derek. Yeah, Man, let's go Broncos.
Speaker 10 (42:49):
Ye.
Speaker 2 (42:49):
That should be a fun year. I'm excited about this year. Andrew,
You're up next year on Broncos react with Ryan Edwards.
What's up Andrew? Hey?
Speaker 8 (42:57):
Ryan?
Speaker 10 (42:57):
Always a pleasure, Yes, sir, that's sadness said, sad to
see preseason go, but excited for the regular season. I
don't know if you uh in a three h three.
I don't know if you guys got your punkin Spice
latte at your local coffee joints, but here in San Diego,
I kid you not. Shortly a day or two after
I talked to you guys after a Broncos game, they
(43:19):
announced that the Dutch Bros out here in California and
also are there's a company called Better Bus. They announced
that they're going to have their punkin Spice Lottes available
on Monday of this week. So exciting day not only
for the Broncos LMB, but also punkin lot Pumpkin Spice
Lotte season.
Speaker 2 (43:36):
Yeah, I get it.
Speaker 3 (43:37):
A Thursday. Thursday is the day for us out here.
Speaker 10 (43:40):
Andrew, well, perfect, all right, Well we'll be sharing those
posts on social media to get there, so I can't
wait for it. Uh this to clarify, I'm the one
that came up with the wide right Albright nice. The
reasons for the reason for that is because his takes
team seem to miss the uprights. They seem to go
either right or left. I thought wide Wright's sounded pretty good,
(44:01):
so I just wanted to clarify that because I know
he had a question about that the other day, so
I just wanted to clarify for him. I know he's
not in to defend himself, but I'm sure he'll probably
defend himself later on. Oh yeah, there's two concerns I
have from the preseason is I don't know if you
share this, but my concern was, is that bone Nicks
(44:22):
is playing time, you know the wave Sean managed that
this year. It was really weird because it's like the
first game he only played like a series and he
was out, and then he played a second game, and
then this game he played longer, you know, than more
than one series, but it took him a while to
warm up to finally get going. And I kind of
hope that doesn't come to buyas you know, on the
(44:43):
button regular season for a slow start, because I felt
like he needed that much reps as possible within the
constraints of like not hurting himself, but just like I
felt like he should have played each game just to
get back into football, you know, mentality football game speak,
because practice and games are a lot different. So I'm
hoping that it doesn't translate to slow start in the
(45:05):
beginning of the year and that we can you know,
get off to a fast start and be ready for
a playoff push. Uh And and secondly R. J. Harvey,
I I really worried. I've seen him run inside he
got seemed like he got lost. I don't know if
it's more O line or it's him not seeing the hole,
but I don't think he's our guy to go up
the middle. And I would have loved to see JK.
(45:26):
Dobbins play today just to see kind of what factor
he gets, you know, in the offense, and see if
he's more of the guy that we need inside because I,
like I said a couple of weeks ago, I feel
like RJ. Harvey is more one dimension, like a hybrid
of Julia McLoughlin. He can get the outsides and be explosive,
but inside I just don't see it yet to where
he can dash up the middle. I would like to
(45:49):
hear your thoughts again, Ryan, loved your show, Love the
time I'm able to talk to you and look forward
to talking to the to this whole season.
Speaker 2 (45:56):
No, I appreciate Andrew, Thank you so much. Enjoy that PSL. Yeah,
I think it would be nice to see JK out there.
Of course you got to see him in the first
preseason game, but there are guys where I feel like
for the Broncos that once they see what they need
to see, they're they're good.
Speaker 3 (46:12):
And maybe you could say that same thing about Corland Sutton.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
But I think you wanted to give the passing offense
today and give Bo Nicks the opportunity to really shine,
and that's why you want to give him some time
with his number one wide receiver, give him some time
with the rest of the depth that's going to be
playing regularly. But for the running game, I feel like
JK kind of falls in the Nick Bonito category where
(46:35):
you've seen it enough and you certainly don'tant to attempt
too much getting him out there and risking some kind
of injury. JK is going to have a pretty significant
role in this offense, especially in pass pro right, I
mean carrying the ball. Sure, he's going to get you
some of your short yardage stuff, but he is your
best pass pro back as we sit here today, and
(46:55):
so JK.
Speaker 3 (46:56):
Dobbins is going to have a major role.
Speaker 2 (46:57):
But I think for yeah, to your point, a lot
of Broncos fans want to see a better rushing attack,
especially from the first team anyways, and you might have
been able to see that.
Speaker 3 (47:06):
To your point, if.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
JK plays today, let's paut ten seconds. First station identification.
You're listening to the k Broncos Radio Network.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
Bronco's Saint the preseason finale on KOWA Denver EM.
Speaker 2 (47:23):
Three oh three, three eighty five eighty five, five six
six nine zeros or KWA Commas Spirit Health text line
as our NFL and Broncos insider Benjamin all Bright, wearing
all black, once again, slides into the chair. Well the
answer flush, Yeah, just the deep v here. Although somebody
said I was being too mean to you on the
text line, So you were being mean apparently, what were you?
(47:45):
What were you saying? I was just sort of teasing
about the divine vle thing and how they were and
that's that wasn't wrong at all.
Speaker 8 (47:53):
And the coach came out, that's the best part.
Speaker 3 (47:56):
Said the best part.
Speaker 11 (47:57):
They you so satisfied, as so psychically satisfying, as Sean
Payton just came out and said that that, like literally
every single part of what I'd said was right.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
I even said that Ben would come back in here
as soon as I pointed this out, they'd be like,
actually it was right.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
The whole time.
Speaker 8 (48:09):
I mean, are you argue with your head coach?
Speaker 3 (48:14):
Never tage Ben argue with your head coach, how was
burd doown?
Speaker 8 (48:18):
It was good. It was good.
Speaker 11 (48:20):
You know, they've they've got a really good place there,
really good setup and all that kind of stuff. And
we had some good winners today. Jack who was wearing
a razorback hat by the way, uh won the Nick
Ferguson Autograph Football.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
I'm sure he did wearing a razorback.
Speaker 8 (48:31):
We don't row. We don't pick the winners like it's
a randomized thing.
Speaker 4 (48:34):
Oh, sure it was.
Speaker 5 (48:35):
It is.
Speaker 8 (48:35):
They have a little thing.
Speaker 11 (48:37):
Yeah, anyway, and I think it's morgan shit that that
won the tickets to the homeowner.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
Cool though, good for her, very cool. We're excited about that.
We got a lot of texts coming in on the
text line. I want to give you a chance to
give me your cursory thoughts. We were just talking about
the offensive line. I had a lot of questions tonight
so far about the decision to go with wide zone
for along the offensive line and if that's working, and
or how long do you give it if it looks
(49:05):
like it doesn't work early on in the season.
Speaker 8 (49:07):
Well, I mean, you don't really have a choice.
Speaker 11 (49:09):
You got to keep giving it you know, if if
that's what you've committed to, or you're going to go
back to something that you've there's some sort of familiarity.
It's it's difficult to install once you hit the once
you hit the season, so you know, you can't reinstall something.
Speaker 8 (49:22):
I think there's things you can scrap.
Speaker 11 (49:24):
I mean, certainly we saw Kubiak stretch scrap in the
stretch plays with Peyton Manning, you know, but as far
as the rest of it goes, an interesting choice hasn't
really yielded the results so far. Uh, And that you know,
there's some concerns with the left guard and the center
and the run games as we've seen thus far. Overall thoughts,
(49:44):
you know, I think we're in capable hands if somebody
goes down. Like the depth on this team is good
pretty much across the board. The one thing I would say,
Pat Bryant needed to come out and make a couple
more catches than he did two of five, and two
of those were drops. Were kind of like, oh man,
that's you know, for the Valet people, that's gonna that's
gonna be like an eyebrow raise. But the young guy's
got time to grow and we've seen people grow before. Obviously,
(50:06):
try Franklin's grown from the disaster that he was last
year into being a luid. Looks like a decent option
in the receiving game, although there was a couple of
plays where his blocking was a little suspect, you know. Overall,
I mean, it's a preseason game. I don't care about
the win. I don't care about all that stuff. I
thought there were some guys that gave some great reps.
I thought the day, the stat line may not favor
(50:28):
a day in certain ways, but I thought he had
a good day. Is declining to talk to the media
after it was a little weird, but that was That's
one of those things where I thought he had a
decent day. Certainly showcased himself, especially in pasporal Yeah, which
is an area where he needed to do that.
Speaker 3 (50:42):
He had a couple couple of big time I.
Speaker 11 (50:44):
Also thought the stat line lied a little bit on
the offense. It looked like the offense, first team offense
had a great day. In reality, it was kind of
disjointed the numbers. You know, they certainly got into the
end zone. Courtland made some good plays, bo was hit
or missed. There was a couple of passes he would
have loved to have back, and then a couple that
he would You know, you're looking at and you're saying,
there it is, that's what we want. So you know,
all in all, not a negative, not a bad day,
(51:07):
but again probably not where the people who've been eyeballing
this first team offense maybe want it to be. So
basically a preseason game. Basically a preseason game. That's a
lot of words to say, a preseason football game.
Speaker 2 (51:19):
Yeah, you always find this as the situation we talk about,
and obviously you've been doing this for a lot of years,
You've been on with me a lot of years, and
we get so excited about the preseason because it's actually
the closest thing we've had to football in many, many months,
and then when you get into it and you get
through it, and then you're talking about it afterwards, you're like, godly, man,
(51:39):
I just don't even know if I really care to
know if that was supposed to be this way or
that way, or if you're just trying something out, or
if it did you know, you weren't game planning, very
clearly not game planning for this opponent.
Speaker 3 (51:51):
So how much of this should I care about.
Speaker 2 (51:53):
I mean, there's there's just conclusions that people jump to
out of these things that tend to have flaws in them.
And that's really for me. If I could take away
anything over time that I've learned about preseason games is
and I don't want you to do your drinking game
drop of everything.
Speaker 3 (52:11):
Matters except avoided it.
Speaker 6 (52:12):
So far.
Speaker 3 (52:13):
I'm grateful it'll happen though before the end of the show.
Speaker 8 (52:16):
I know it.
Speaker 2 (52:16):
But I'm just saying, like, there's there's things that people
will take away and they they'll strip down and say, well,
this has got to be what you know, the offense
can't run the ball, or you know, hey, R J.
Harvey is afraid to run it inside because I mean
things like that. I think you're just like, hold on,
don't we don't know that?
Speaker 8 (52:33):
Yeah? Think of it like this.
Speaker 11 (52:35):
Think of it as preseason games are still snapshots, right,
and these coaches have the whole film, the completed film,
and you're seeing a few frames, a few still snapshots
out of that and making decisions off that.
Speaker 3 (52:48):
I think it's perfectly said.
Speaker 11 (52:49):
Yet, you know, we're getting twenty percent of the information here,
maybe a little bit more if you're out of practice,
you know, maybe thirty to forty percent, but you're not
you're not in the locker room. You don't know what
these guys are like in there, out there for all
of practice. You're out there for the limited stuff that
we see. You're not there for install and in the
rooms and all those kinds of things. And so there
are things that we get and we're like, oh, okay,
that jumped out at me. Cool and it should and
(53:13):
good eyes, but you're also missing a large portion. It'd
be like judging the movie Deadpool off seeing four still
frame shots that you got, like, you know, it's it's incomplete.
You don't have all the material.
Speaker 3 (53:26):
To work from.
Speaker 2 (53:26):
But I think for a lot of Broncos fans who
don't get to go to practices, this is what they
have to.
Speaker 8 (53:30):
Go off of, and they rely on us.
Speaker 11 (53:32):
That's our job as media is to try to paint
them as best picture as we can of what's happening there.
And then they have this and so in a lot
of cases, if we eat as media and we do
tend to do this, we kind of get in those
group things like we get in the little huddles, their
scrums or whatever we're talking and you.
Speaker 8 (53:46):
Sort of like, Okay, well I saw this day.
Speaker 11 (53:47):
Yeah, I saw that today, and we sort of like
get that collective, and maybe we forget about a few
other things that we missed or saw here or there,
and those kind of don't get filtered through the main
wash of everybody out there put it out there, and
so the public at large miss is a few of those.
This is a few of those things.
Speaker 2 (54:02):
Three oh three seven one, three eighty five eighty five
five six, six nine zero. If you want to interact
with us, we got questions already coming in for Ben.
We'll get to those when we come back really quick. Here, Ryan,
I literally smell the axe body wash when you Ben
walked into the keels Man. How dare you what is keels?
Speaker 8 (54:18):
Yeah, we'll we'll discuss where you poor shop during the break.
Speaker 3 (54:22):
All right, Well, right back on the Kwa Broncos, righty
at work,
