Speaker 1 (00:00):
Forty three yard feel goal prize to get three day
the league that is flucked both down on the ground
may greg no balls on it. On the forty.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Seven of the ground, there's no lord off the edge.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
I know with my own O hosts or speaking Spanish
now the show that it looks like Shelby Harris was
the guy because he's got the best hands in the
league and he joins us right now, Shelby, maybe you
can help us with this. That was you, man, wasn't it.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
You know, I gave that ball of hot hot all
big shadow. But you know, at the end of the day,
you know, even if there's maybe a little bit off
the ends, but at the end of the day, you know,
it's a team effort and I'm just happy we were
able to get the win.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Come on, man, well that's true. That is all very true,
and what a win. It was huge upset and I
I feel, well, listen, I saw that happen, and I
saw you guys find a way to sort of hang
in there and win that game. And almost immediately after,
I'm thinking of like, how many parlays out there, how
many people that had really thought like the Survivor League

(01:08):
people out there that were like, oh, well, yeah, Green
Bay's got Cleveland. This is an easy one.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
This is the league.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
That is That is one of the coolest things about
this league. And I think it I read it afterwards, Shelby,
I don't know if you know this. I think it's
the first time in NFL history something along those lines
that a team had a ten point lead with like
three to four.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Minutes left in the game and lost that game. So, man,
congratulations to you guys. Very cool stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Well, you know, I'm happy we can contribute to history.
The way I look at it, man, is you know,
no matter what, no matter how much you down, you
gotta just chiep fighting. You know, lucile times. And people
don't realize this one. The NFL teams are a lot
closer to each other than farther apart. And I'm thinking,

(01:53):
you get college where you do get those big difference
than teams were talent, where some teams are way bigger
and way that another has been there. So it's from
the best team to the worst team. It's just such
a small difference in a small fall difference and talent
and that's why that's that's what makes the NFL so
great is that we can't weak out. Anything can happen.

(02:14):
And as it did, you know, we we were losing
the whole game, and then we come up with a
big interception, take the ball back to the floor, and
then you know we scored there and then dream Bay
takes it down almost immediately, and then they typed my
field goal. And what's the best part about it was
it was on Bmac And that's that's the best part
about the whole thing, being on mcmannons. But you know

(02:35):
they go down and Bill bow and then if we
had a more athletic corner and Greg Newsom, he would
have picked it up and scored. But you know, it
is what it is. We have we have.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
You know, you said a more athletic corner you would
have picked it up and scored, saying a.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
More athletic corner would have picked up and scored, and
that had Bmax follow on top of them. But I'm
just saying.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
He's speaking of which is Miche question for you, as
an individual who got his big pall up there and
block the ball, could you have done what Jordan Davis
did and with the Eagles, could you could you scoop
it sore and run it back the way that big
man stumbled and rumble, could you could you have done that?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Tell me you could have just just a way that
it had you know, the whole block had happened. No,
I was out in a position to do that. That's
what Jordan Davis says. What he did so much more
impressive is because he didn't just block the ball. He
broke through the lines and blocked the ball. Then Bowling
picked it up and then went and scored like that

(03:35):
right there, that's the big man. But like this, like
an interception, that's part of a big man's dream. Show
off the wheels because we didn't know. I remember, remember
the combine, Jordan George Davis. That was like the phenomenon
when he did for the forty at his side, so
he can We all know he can move. So that's
what you know. That's that's the big man's dream, though,
Watson show off to let him know that we're just

(03:58):
more when more than was blind them.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
So so schelbe you If I heard you correctly, Jordan
Davis is a little more motivated than you are.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Oh come on now, hold on, hold on, that's.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
The way, that's what you want to say. We both
came out with the wind and all that.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Hey, finally, have you heard the We just played the
Cleveland call. Have you heard the green Bay call yet
of the block?

Speaker 2 (04:24):
No? I have not heard.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Well, we love doing this, you know that I specifically
love doing this. I love sound anyways, but I like
to hear the of a big time moment. So this
was you. We played the Cleveland block as we're coming back.
Here's how it sounded on green Bay Packers Radio network.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Bike's been made, kicked ye, pr chis block block, pick top,
bock up, crowns new sub the phony line up, plead
and the Browns have an opportunity twenty one seconds tech go.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
So wait, wait, hold on, so wait, let I give
him credit because he's in the play by. He kept
the energy up like that was like sometimes with the
play by calls, it's oh my gosh, I can't believe
this just happened. But then you heard in the background
Larry Mckerron, who does color. He's like, oh my god.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Are unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Unbelievable?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
But no, that's that's isn't that? Isn't that what makes
the spokes so great? You know what I mean? This
is what makes football the best game in the world
because you have moments, moments and and and it's franky
because in that the stand of I think there's a
ten minutes there were three field goal blocks around the league. Yeah,
and I think that it's never been done before. And

(05:43):
that's just this game is somehow seamed together. This is like,
there's no way that that just happens and it's not
meant to be well.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
And again, you talked about the athleticism. If if if
you guys had an athletic because because the Eagles was
returned for a time down the Jets that was returned
for a touchdown. But Cleveland, you guys, you know you
didn't didn't didn't quite get there. Huh.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
It's not a grudge the Gregs credit, even though he
is not athletics the Gregs the Gregs credit. I will
say the fall I'm talking about. You know, we've been
giving him crap about this since since the game and
after when we watched the film. The ball did take
a crazy bounce and you know, it's bouncing and it
looks like it's going to bounce up to him again,
and it bounced a complete way. So it did until

(06:30):
his credit. It did give a bad bounce, but you know,
at the end of the day, the only thing that
matters is one and one to no.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
That's good man, Well, we're very excited for you. And
one last thing on that, because the Packers are your
hometown team. He grew up a Packers fan, and I
don't want to go with the cliche did this mean more?
But honestly, that was one of the first things I
thought of afterwards. It was like, got lee, Man, this
is Shelby's hometown team that he just beat when it

(07:00):
was like a seven and a half point line on
the game. It's in Cleveland. I mean, how did they feel?

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Man? I will say, if it didn't meymore, you are
not wrong about that. To beat the Packers and for
to be off of BMAC like that, you dude, that's
a double whamman, right that I kind of just made
it even more stupial, just because it's like an opportunity,
just because you know, playing in Denver, playing in Seattle,
playing in Cleveland, you know, the people back home and

(07:26):
Milkee don't always get those games, and so you know,
obviously I'm in the league, but like not everybody comes
back home get to watch them play. So then for
a game for you know, everyone back home watching me
play and to have a good game and then go
block the kid to change the game and change the
type of game. You know, that's special for me just
because you know, just it's a way of that back home,

(07:49):
but also being able to have the last lap too.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Playing against your former teammate is always tough and there's
a little gamesmanship. I mean, you're talking about the fact
that blocking it because it was against Brendan mcmahonnons.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Did you go over to him after.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
The game to just kind of, you know, shake his
hand and pat pat him on the back.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Well, actually, I went to him pre games and I
was like, you know, I got to get one off you.
I went to a pre game. I was like, I
gotta get one off you. You know, it's time. You know,
I don't every I don't get many opportunities to play
d MAC, so whenever I do, I got to take
advantage of that. And you know, I told him that

(08:28):
ball is going on the mantle. Then the game, you know,
you know, I'm petty. I went straight looking for Bmack.
I went straight looking for Bmack, like where's bmact And
then I just kind of give him a SIDEI and
kind of just you know, I mean, it's all a
good fun I want to connectively as scessful as possible,
you know, every other game of the year. But when

(08:50):
he when he comes to Cleveland, we got to go
out there and secure the dove.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Well, Shelby, We're obviously very happy for you, happy that
that was such a big win against the team that
you grew up playing against or wanting to I guess
rooting for that's more of what anything you got the
Lions this week though, Man, we just watched them play
last night. They they look pretty tough.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Yeah, I mean I looked tough this that run game. Yeah,
you know what what they were able to do to
Baltimore in the ground, being able to run the ball
and and really the variations of Brian's are very you know,
the difference in runs that they do with David Montgomery
compared to Junior Gibbs. You know, you get more of
the power power riser in Montgomery, you get the more
side stuff at JAM gives really live how they try

(09:31):
to keep people balanced to run game and play action.
And then their defense, you know, they just falls in
make plays when when they need to pausing aboard Derrick
Henry and a big in a big flight like That's
that's what the Detroit lines I've really become and so
half the team that you have to worry about four
porters and play them all four quarters.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
I remember, you guys got a pretty good run game
there with quin Shawn Juggins making his debut. That was
pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Yeah, you know he's in starting. Absolutely a couple of
injuries on the whole line, and it didn't seem like
it really thanks to them too much, and late in
the game they were able to get any games going
and really make a difference. So that's what, you know,
the best part about is everything seems like it's finally
coming together and I'll take French time up and around
her and cancer fine kind of you know, getting that

(10:19):
understanding of the offense and being able to gel right
in with the guys. So that's that's the cool part
about this whole team. And you know, obviously we have
a tough opponent going to going to Detroit, and you
know we got to carry into momentum and take it
to Detroit.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Hey, Joey, do you guys think about the fact of
Jarrett Golf's sacks on the season. Four sacks they gave
up the whole offensive line against the Green Bay Packers.
Since then, they haven't given up any sacks.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
I mean, what do you guys.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
Talk about as far as breaking that kind of trend
in the streak that the Detroit Lions offensive line has
thus far.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Well, if you if you stop the run, they got
to throw the ball. And if they throw the ball,
and that's the opportunity for us to get sack. Us
So our first and you know, our first and foremost
thing that we're most worried about. We got to go
out there and shop and run. This is this is
a run dominant team. They have a great run game.
So we got about there and stop the run, and
then after that then the tax will come. You know,
it's not many teams that forced Detroit in these third

(11:15):
and longs and and these you know, come from behind situations,
and so that that's always the goal when you're playing
a run first team is to put them behind the sticks.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
We got about four texts in a row saying best
hands in the league, baby, So.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
You already know I'll talk about the bending to happen.
I got up the field I'm just like hens in
the league. I didn't think I have to remind you all.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Incredible.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Man.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Well, hey, keep breaking hearts. We're rooting for you obviously
this week. Appreciate the time as always. Man, We'll check
in me the next Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Well, I appreciate you guys, man, and hopefully next week
things are different for you the Broncos. Man, I see
something that's happening in and I have faith that are
going to turn it around.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
We appreciate that. You know, it's it's tough after a loss.
It's tough after a couple of gut wrenching losses, especially
last second field goals that the Broncos could not block
because we don't have Shelby Harris. So, I mean, that's
that's just that's just the reality we live in right now.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
I got Bill's character for later in the season, though,
I know the fans and everybody's kind of down right
now with those type of games right now. Will will
really help the team out later in the year when
it comes to those close, gritty games.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
I agree with you, my friend, all right, appreciate you.
We'll chat with you next week.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Man, talk to that letter, all right.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Shelby Harris
