Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three thirty, Pat, Sir Tam Pat, you're on with Dave Logan.
Ryan was a bitch of an all Bright. How are you, sir?

Speaker 2 (00:06):
I'm doing good.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
How y'all doing We're doing good.

Speaker 4 (00:08):
Pat, appreciate the time. We're just talking about the and
I know you guys have talked about it as well,
game by game, the three game stretch. You're one and two.
Uh now is a veteran leader a voice in that
in that locker room?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
What?

Speaker 4 (00:23):
What are what are the challenges, if any, in terms
of just kind of staying focused on what's ahead the
Monday night game with the Bengals and and how do
you deal with sort of some of the disappointment the
last play of the game, disappointment the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Yeah, I think first thing first is still in confidence
in the guys around me and making sure you know,
we don't schedule with that, but it's just a we
know it's a day to day process, a day to
day schedule in his league. You know it's not going
to be easy, but you know we got prop best
foot forward, easing every week and look on to the

(01:03):
next you know what I mean. I think we've got
a great opportunity this week Monday Night football against the
Bengals to get on the win column. And I think
that's what's important now, just focusing on the next step ahead.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
You gave an interview a couple of weeks ago where
you were talking about sometimes the defense sivers from from
lapses and you need guys to try to be superheroes
and seek big plays to change the game.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
What did you What did you mean by that?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Just like, you know, not trying to do something as
out of your role, you know what I mean. Just
be in your row understanding the defense. Uh, you know
you're gonna make your plays when it comes about to Like,
just from that standpoints, just every boy doing their job
collectively as a unit and being assigned and being focused

(01:51):
on their job, the individual job, and because you know
there's great players everywhere and you know the play is
gonna come to you as long as you focus in
on what you do in your role.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
So, hey, patam really enjoying the new podcast with you
and Terry and Arnold.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
It's really good stuff. Man, you'd have fun doing that.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Yeah, I'm having I'm having a great time doing it. Man.
It's a different avenue to tap into ob he's quite
the character. But it's pretty cool to really like sit
down and engage with the fans, but also, you know,
talk game and have some fun doing it as well too,
So you know, I'm enjoying it a little bit. At first,
I was opposed to it, but now I'm having some

(02:31):
fun with it, so it's pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
One of the things that you talked about, I think
it was either yesterday or recently, is about this Bengals
matchup and watching the Vikings and how they played against
Browning and that Bengals offense.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
What can you take away? I mean, you guys run
a different.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Kind of defense than what they're doing with Brian Flores
and the Vikings defense. But what are some of the
takeaways that you had watching that in the way that
you guys can maybe utilize some of the effectiveness that
the Vikings had.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Yeah, I think they was they're playing around, I had
to the ball. There's making a lot of turnovers. I
think that's what's key in the NFL, when you generate
a lot of turnovers and increase your chances of winning.
And I think that propelled them towards victory. And uh,
you know, they played great sound defense, Uh, you know

(03:24):
they they had a great scheme uh going on to
the game. Uh looking at the film to seem like
everybody was flying around to the ball uh and making
plays and uh, you know that's that's pretty much in
terms of a good sign. Uh when you see all
those turnovers being wrapped up on the defensive side of

(03:44):
the ball, so they're playing around.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
For sure, You've got you've got an offense that you're
familiar with coming to town on Monday night. Different different
quarterback obviously in Jake Browning, but still the cast of characters.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Is the same.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
And I want to ask you, uh, you you were
matched up last year in Cincinnati some maybe even a
lot on Jamar Chase. There are great receivers in this
league almost every single week, and then there are some
guys that are, you know, a step or two above
that in terms of being elite guys. When when you

(04:18):
look at Chase and his game, what two or three
things strike you about being most difficult for defensive backs
to kind of deal with.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
I think one of the underrated parts about his game
is people don't realize how strong he is. His ability
to really like utilize and get off of press and
you know his explosiveness, and I think his yaws after
the catch. I think when he gets the bar on
his hands, he's he's a damn they guaranteed to take

(04:50):
it to the house someplay, So he's a he's a
big play threat, uh waiting to happen. And I think
that's what separates him from you know, ou Se who
was in the league. So you know, we gotta eliminate
that and hone in on stopping that for sure.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah, I dove tail it off, Ded.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
I think if memory serves correct, last year, you got
the force fumble on T Higgins. You're gonna you can
get the force fumble on Jamar this so we can
put the skins up on the wall for both receivers.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Yeah, yeah, gotta make that happen. You gotta have a
two for two.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
There you go. You gotta decide to put it up
on the wall. Love it, absolutely, love it all.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Right. Now it's time for the Children's hospital. Call her
a kid caster and it's presented by your col rade

Speaker 3 (05:36):
This week's question is from Malachi it's me Malkai.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
I want to know what is your weirdest and funniest
food you have in your house? Okay, where is where
does food in the house? Yeah, that's a good question.
What do I have right now? Uh?

Speaker 5 (06:03):
Hopefully none of these pumpkin spice salmon filets like Ryan
Edwards over here.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yeah, yeah, I I ain't got that. I ain't got nothing.
I ain't got nothing to crazy, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Because that's what's weird? Do you like I got?

Speaker 2 (06:18):
I got some like hot tomalis in the cabinet. I
don't know why I'm not. I'm not a big fan
of those. That's probably a weird the food I have
in the in the cabinet. And favorite food? Uh, what's
my favorite? I know I got I got a whole

(06:39):
bunch of chips lined up. I'll be snacking on the chips,
thritos and stuff, so i'd probably say that.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
So with the hot tomalies, is it just a spice
like the cinnamon spice of it?

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Yeah, I don't. I don't like that. I don't know
what it is. Some people some people like them, but
you know, it's just sitting in the cabinets for no reason,
taking up space.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Friend comes over and it's like, oh, I love they're yours.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Take them, have them, just take them, take them please.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
That's right, I've seen them. Hey, Pat, appreciate it, man,
Best of luck on Monday night. Thank you.
