Speaker 1 (00:00):
People on their way home. I would think most of
which are very happy. Seventy five thousand and six seventy
three in attendance tonight here four hundred and fifty fifth
consecutive sellout. That's a streak that dates all the way
back to Week one of nineteen seventy and leads the
National Football League in terms of consecutive sellouts for a
single city. Broncos win it tonight, twenty eight to three.
(00:23):
To the text line, we go nine to two, five
nine one four. Dave Louis rights are a lucky charm.
Bring him to every game forever. My dear friends since
nineteen seventy seven met up with him at Gratischar's induction.
It was the best ever. Louis was again such a great,
great player. Good to see Louis tonight for sure. I
(00:44):
think Broncos fans enjoy that three zero three two two
nine day. The lack of commitment to the running games,
baffling twenty six pass attempts to twelve rush attempts in
the first half is inexcusable, especially when they're.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Averaging five yards per carry.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
It's all hugs and high fives against the Bungles, but
one one hundred yard rusher in Peyton's tenure. That's a
recipe for well five hundred football, which refreshed. Where did
that go? Which is Peyton's record so far. Run the
ball genius, that's from the Big Slaughter in Green Mountain.
(01:22):
Broncos did have thirty eight rushing attempts in the game,
so it's not like they didn't run the ball. Seven
to two, two oh six. Wow, dudes figured it out tonight.
I'm excited to see how they build on this. Go Broncos. Yeah,
I think. I mean, obviously Cincinnati is not the same
team without Joe Burrow, but I thought the Broncos took
(01:43):
a couple of steps both in the right direction here tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
We wanted this to be a get right game going
in and I feel like it was just what we
needed going into Philly next week London after.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
That seven one nine two four eight, they did what
they needed to do. Big game next week, But Philly
is beatable. It's interesting because I feel the same way.
I think Philly is a great team and they've won
twenty the last twenty one, but they're doing it in
less than conventional ways. So and Denver is gonna have
(02:22):
to have their best game. They're gonna have to eliminate
a lot of the penalties. They're gonna have to score
when they get opportunity. I mean, everything's gonna have to
break right. But I do think I do not think
that is a no hoper for the Broncos.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
I agree, And we haven't seen Denver play their best
game yet even tonight. Too many penalties here tonight three
zho three.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Nine oh nine, and I sawid all around win. What
a defense we have with a game for the offense.
Confidence builder. That's from Broncos Diehard Steve in South.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Carolina, SC.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
I would say, yep, nine to seven zho four two
four dominant. This team is good. They lost by two
last seconds on the road, beat Philly, and we go
to the super Bowl this year. All right, I'm all
for that seven two oh eight point nine. Then they
can't beat the good teams. Well, find out a little
(03:13):
bit more about that next week nine seven six two three.
Wattenberg is a problem, but a great night. Overall, most
people are happy seven oh one two six oh. All
I can say is keep feeding Courtland Sutton.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Yeah, not too many complaints tonight.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Seven two oh seven two five articulate announcers fun victory.
Two questions One, why doesn't coach cover his waffle house
menu not to reveal potential play calls?
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Two?
Speaker 1 (03:55):
How awesome is that the Walter Pinner group not only
replaces the turf midway through the sea, but also cares
enough to supply young football players in Colorado with free
helmets to hopefully prevent CTE injuries. Couldn't be more oops.
Couldn't be more proud? Where did that go? Couldn't be
more proud of the ownership I agree about you know,
(04:19):
what the Broncos did with with the helmet program just
just unbelievable, and this ownership group is second to none.
I got a chance to meet Kerry Pennert, saying with you, Dave,
you met her before, but yes, pregame in the booth
here along with Conda Lisa Rice. It's quite an honor
to meet both of them.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Yep. Seven to two, six, seven five. This was a
great game.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Denvers d needs to not let up some of the
final stats, and I think it will bear out. Really,
what if you just saw the score or didn't get
a chance to watch or listen to anything of the game,
and you saw twenty eight to three. You would think, well,
the Broncos dominated the game, and in fact, they did
thirty eight carries running the football for number one hundred
(05:12):
and eighty six yards total. That's four point nine yards
per carry, and the longest run of the Night's not
like they had a seventy or eighty yard run. The
longest run of the night was sixteen yards, so they
had a bunch of good runs. Bengals had fifteen carries
for fifty three yards. Jake Brownie was fourteen to twenty
five for one hundred and twenty five yards. He was
(05:33):
sacked three times, one and a half of those sacks
went to Nick Benito didn't have a touchdown pass obviously.
Bo Nicks was twenty nine to forty two for three
twenty six, was not sacked once and through two touchdowns,
did throw one interception.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
But I think.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Overall, really good night for Nicks. Mims finished with six
catches good for sixty nine yards. Sutton had five for
eighty one. Franklin had four for fifty five. Couple of
drops there. Harvey had four for forty Ingram had four
for twenty nine. Jamar Chase finished with five catches for
(06:19):
twenty three yards. Longest catch was ten yards.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Yeah, Patzertan did a great job on him and Riley
Moss I thought really recovered after that first drive. They
were kind of picking on him a bit with t
Higgins and Higgins three catches for thirty two, so the
both Broncos cornerbacks really locked down those great wide receivers
for the Bengals.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
Broncos came into the game tied for the second fewest
sacks given up in the NFL. They came in in
the first three weeks having been sacked only three times,
and bow Knicks was not sacked tonight.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
Nope.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
That's a big goose egg for the Bengals tonight. So
Bronco's rank in the league probably goes up going into Philly.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Also, this is the eleventh straight game, whether home or away,
eleven straight game the Broncos have scored at least twenty
or more points. It's the longest streak since the team's
best ever stretch of games. It was a thirty game
stretch that they had twenty or more points consecutive games.
That was back December of twenty twelve through November of
(07:25):
twenty fourteen. Seems like there was a guy named Manning
around at that point.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Yeah, I kind of remember him the way. Broncos have
won seven straight home games now, that's right, well, longest
since twenty fifteen.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
So they're they're headed in I think a positive, positive direction,
no doubt about that.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Here's a cool thing too, Dave. Sorry to interrupt. Sean
Payton needed one more win to tie his mentor Bill Parcells.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Yeah, and he got that, which he got won seventy two.
Now he is.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
Sixteenth on the regular season wins list in NFL history.
I believe one seventy two is the total. I believe
it's won seventy two as well. Bingals offense in that
first quarter sixteen snaps of offense for seventy one yards.
For the rest of the game they had twenty seven snaps,
good for eighty eight. We've got boon Nicks coming up
(08:22):
here soon.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
I am told.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Uh three zero three, five to nine eight. See what
happens when the Broncos play all four quarters? Okay, yep,
third quarter.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Offensively, they didn't do anything, but the defense held up.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Uh nine oh one, four to five one. Where's the
nine oh one from don't want to let the evening pass?
Without giving VJ his flowers. Early going looked like the
Bengals are going to have some success on the ground
and with the quick game, but VJ and the boys
buttoned that stuff up took it to the Bengals best
complimentary football to the point in the season.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Okay, I agree.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Listener, wanted to know, if you're Riley Moss, how are
you feeling going into next week? I gotta think he's
feeling pretty good going up against Higgins and Chase that
he held up really well today.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Two one three, that's that's an LA number two and three.
Five oh nine.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
David Logan, do you truly believe this team Forget has
a chance to win a ring? Do you think we
look like a team that can win a playoff game
before February of twenty twenty six?
Speaker 2 (09:48):
And is that is that team in Pawa? Am I
reading that right? Did I hear?
Speaker 4 (09:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:56):
If so? Why are you guys talking? Oh? You mean
the music?
Speaker 4 (10:00):
I think talking about the music?
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Okay, yeah, yeah, you know what we can do?
Speaker 3 (10:04):
We can lay out Oh you know what, we just
hold a microphone outside the booth.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
And to answer your question two one three, Yeah, I
really do I think this team can can win a win,
a win a playoff game. I think this is a
pretty pretty good team, you know. I know the last
couple of weeks have been disappointing in a large way
for sure, But I'm just telling you there's gonna be
ups and downs, but the ups and downs for every
(10:32):
team in the league, right, I mean, who thought the
Chargers were gonna go on the road and lose with
the Giants? So with a rookie quarterback, yes making his
first start, Jackson Dart Yep, We're gonna wait just a
couple more minutes for bon Knicks before we take another
(10:54):
time out, even though we've been told not to do that.
Four oh seven three one oh. Dislocated knee is far
worse than dislocated kneecap. Okay, I believe you. I just
had the dislocated kneecap. Just the dislocated kneecap. Well, I mean,
I'm saying I think it I think compared I think
it is. Did you play that season after I did?
(11:15):
I've played in a couple couple of weeks. The kneecap
just kind of slides to the outside of your knee
and then it snaps back. It's a very weird feeling.
If you wait, we'll wrap this up and I'll see
if I can do that on you. I mean, just
so you'll know the feeling of it as you walk
to the car.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Seven to two O four eight zero. When Malcolm Roach
and Drake Greenlaw come back, the defense will be even better.
I'm excited. I mean, Malcolm Roach really gives them a big,
strong body inside. I think they have missed him.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
And Dre Greenlaw just judging from what we saw when
he was in San Francisco, is u is a physical
downhill linebacker. You just have to hope that he's gonna
he's gonna get healthy.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Roach has got a big motor and he's a good
run stopper. I believe he's eligible to come back this game.
It's been four weeks, right, four games. It'd be great
to get them back in there. Seven to two oh
ninety eight nine. Dimitrius Knight Junior is also cousins with
Pro Bowl defensive back D'Angelo hall Man.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
I didn't know that. Think about good genetics.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Three ozho three nine to six. Oh, calm down. If
Joe Coolho's playing, it's a different game, of course.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
Oh. For sure.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
I mean, I don't know that Cincinnati would have won,
but absolutely, I think we were pretty clear in saying
that Joe Burrows if not the best quarterback in the league,
he's one of the two or three best quarterback without
a doubt. Nine to seven, four to two, four, three
(12:50):
and out, both half opening drives room for improvement. Tonight's
injury report is percented by Common Spirit Health, official healthcare
partner of the Denver Broncos. No injuries reported, but Nate
Atkins was in the Tate in the tent late evaluated
for a concussion earlier, but he did return. Let's hope
(13:12):
that Nate Atkins is going to be Okay, a name
that doesn't get mentioned a lot, but I'm telling you,
this is a guy that fulfills a lot of different
roles for this Broncos offense, no question about that. We
are going to take a time out here and uh,
We're going to head to coach Sean Payton's press conference.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Do we have bo Okay, Okay, We're.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Gonna go to the press conference and listening to Sean Payton.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
It was a great call by him in a great
throw and catch by Sutton. You start those drives thinking
field goal. Be smart, we start the second half of
the ball, and then you midstream adjust and quickly we
were crossing midfield, and now your mindset changes. And that
(14:13):
was a big certainly a big play at the end
of the half, a huge play.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
All Right, we're gonna dump out of Coach Payton's press conference.
We've got the quarterback of the Broncos bo Nicks with
us in the locker room. Boat Dave Logan, seemed like
you guys really got on track tonight. And with the
exception of maybe the first series, you're able to run
the ball. You got really good protection through the ball
with accuracy.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
How did how did the game just overall feel to you?
Speaker 6 (14:41):
Well, I thought we had a good plan and we
ran the ball officially early.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
And when you can run the ball and get you.
Speaker 6 (14:46):
Know, first down, second out, first down again, it opens
up a lot. And we weren't in third and longs
this time. And I thought the only stretch that was
poor was in the you.
Speaker 7 (14:55):
Know, early you know, the third and early fourth quarter.
Speaker 6 (14:58):
Where we just had so many penalties killing ourselves. But
I thought, you know, overall, we did good job. We
ran the ball very efficiently and that's what opened up
everything else.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Yeah, I mean again, you threw the ball with the
accuracy tonight. But I want to get your your take
on the running back situation. Dobbins goes for one on
one that breaks the string of I think thirty seven
regular season games without one hundred yard rusher.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
And I thought r J.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Harvey took a couple of really positive steps just in
terms of his patients and running with power. He looked
like he kind of settled in a bit tonight.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (15:33):
Those guys played well off of each other, and we
got a bunch of plays in so they were able
to just continue to play and get in the rhythm.
I thought that was important. Is you know, like for example,
there at the end, JK just kept running the ball,
running the ball, running ball, gotting a good groove, multiple
carries in a row. And RJ did a good job
out of the backfield tonight. You know he's learning. He's
a rookie, and you know he's in a good position
(15:56):
but also a tough position with so much on him.
But he's handling it really well. I'm proud of him.
He got his first touchdown tonight.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
It's always fun.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
To see yep.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
I'll get you out of here with this. You know,
the last couple of weeks have been disappointing losses. You've
talked to me after the game and said, hey, we
got to get back to work. And now you get
a big win on a Monday night, but the same thing,
you got to get back to work. You got a
tough one on the road coming up Sunday against the
team that won the Super Bowl last year.
Speaker 6 (16:21):
Yeah, and they've started fast this year, so you know,
we're looking ahead.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
We're going to enjoy the win.
Speaker 6 (16:25):
We're gonna watch it, learn from it. It's hard to
win in the league, so you know, we've had tough weeks,
so we can enjoy this one. But at the same time,
if we want to continue to win and you know,
go after something bigger than we got to continue to
get better and we know that, and we're going to
have a tough week. But I think everybody's excited for
the challenge.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Yep, no doubt about it. Appreciate the time, Bo, We'll
see you this week.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
Thanks Dag.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
You bet that's Bo Nicks in the locker room.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Denver was eight of fourteen on third down after being
two of thirteen last week twenty nine first downs for
the Broncos tonight after having nine last week. And I
mentioned the symmetry of these two games. Chargers had twenty
nine first downs to the Broncos nine last week. One
week later, the Broncos have twenty nine first downs to
the Bengals nine. Just kind of interesting. So now we
(17:15):
will take a time out. Broncos won it twenty eight
to three. We'll come back and wrap things up from
in power.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
Field at Male High.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
First, these messages on the KOA Broncos Radio network. We're
back into power Field of Malhi wrapping things up. Dave Logan,
Rick Lewis, Broncos won it twenty eight to three. Susie
Warrigen standing by in the locker room with Jonathan Cooper.
Speaker 8 (17:32):
All right, thanks Dave Coop. Well, first of all, half
a sack which you thought should have been a full sack, right,
Benito stole one half sack from you.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
Believe he did that to me.
Speaker 9 (17:41):
He's supposed to be my brother, right, supposed to be
my brother. Ye out there taking sacks from me and
then he's gonna take me out a game. He's gonna
get one, he gonna get another one. So you know,
I gotta pay him back next week.
Speaker 8 (17:50):
Hey to talk about this defensive effort. I mean they
had the field goal on the first driving, then we
got a whole bunch of punts and one kneel down
before the half. That's quite the defensive performance, Yes.
Speaker 9 (17:58):
Sir, I mean, you know, shout out to the defense everybody.
It's a it's a collective effort. It's a team and
we really played complimentary football. Played played good, just team
football honestly, you know, uh made them one dimensional and
stopped to run and get out to the passer, do
what we do best. So uh, you know, when we
play together like that, I feel like we're hard to beat.
Speaker 8 (18:19):
You mentioned complimentary football, You like putting licks on people.
You saw Pat Bryan's block and I think, uh somebody
else had one too that. I mean the offense was
getting out there and making some blocks today.
Speaker 9 (18:29):
Yeah, no, shout out to the offense.
Speaker 10 (18:31):
They was playing.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
They was bawling.
Speaker 9 (18:32):
It was really toll in. That Rock offensive line did
their job. Bow Knicks played out standing, and uh yeah,
I feel like we just got to ride this momentum
and let it carry us and uh knock it complacent,
go up, clean up, whatever. We got to clean up
and just keep rocking.
Speaker 8 (18:46):
About that crowd tonight Monday night football under the lights,
and they're pretty awesome.
Speaker 9 (18:49):
Huh wow, they were amazing. Yeah, best fans in the NFL.
Speaker 8 (18:52):
Did you hear the cheers with when Alec Polchowski was
announced as a ultimate receiver?
Speaker 4 (18:56):
What is that?
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Shout out?
Speaker 4 (18:57):
Power?
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Shout on my dog, Poul.
Speaker 9 (19:00):
We was getting hype every time he got in too.
You know, power works hard.
Speaker 5 (19:03):
Man.
Speaker 9 (19:03):
He's a good teammate, He's a great guy.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (19:07):
I just feel like across the board, we have great
dues everywhere and uh, you know, it's always next man up.
Everybody understands the standard and we hold it. We hold
ourselves accountable, we holde everybody accountable, and we'll just just
keep going.
Speaker 8 (19:19):
All right, there you go, Coop, short week.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
We'll see in Philly.
Speaker 11 (19:22):
Yes man, Thank you, Susan, you got.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
A date back up to you, Susie.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Thank you, Jonathan Cooper.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Big part of the Broncos defense tonight is they hold
the Bengals to three points. Get out of here with
their second victory of the season, twenty eight to three.

Speaking of legal, the Berg Simpson Law Firm is on
your side. Berg Simpson Good Lawyers, Changing lives, Rick final thoughts.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
A final stat here from Doc Winer. The Broncos gained
three hundred and fifty three yards more than the Bengals
only six times before tonight. Did the Broncos enjoy a
greater total yards margin last year against the Chiefs last
game of the year, and throw that one out because
those are the Chiefs backups. You have to go back
to Green Bay in nineteen ninety nine. So total dominance
(20:48):
of the Bengals tonight and gives the team some confidence.
I think going into Philly, especially on the offensive side
of the ball, the offense really needed to get it
going and they did tonight. So let's go play the
Super Bowl Champs next week in Philly.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
Yep, Bengals outgained by three hundred and fifty three yards.
Only three times in their franchise history they've been out
gained by more yards. So good night indeed for the
Broncos on both sides of the ball, and a big
test coming up this Sunday. As we've mentioned, the Broncos
travel to face the Super Bowl Champions in Philadelphia. Broncos
(21:23):
at the Eagles coming up Sunday with an eleven am
Mountain time kickoff, to be followed the following Sunday by
a game across the Pond. As they like to say,
We'll be in London as the Broncos face the New
York Jets a seven thirty am Mountain time kickoff. Get
up and enjoy some breakfast and listen to the game
(21:45):
from London as the Broncos will face the New York Jets.
That's going to do it from Empower Field a mile high.
We thank you very much for being with us. Broncos
win their second of the season. They are two and two.
They beat the Cincinnati Bengals tonight here in front of
seven six and seventy three fans by a final score
of twenty eight to three. For Susie Wargin my partner
(22:06):
Rick Lewis, I'm Dave Logan. We head back to the
KAW Sports desk and check in with Ryan Edwards.
Speaker 11 (22:11):
Big wins and night.
Speaker 12 (22:12):
Dave, Let's let me ask you a quick question before
we get you out of here. I saw this in
the postgame. Sean Payton said they changed the running back
usage tonight. It went more to giving JK. Dobbins an RJ.
Harvey series on the field rather than basing it on
the play call, so that they could get the running
backs in better rhythm.
Speaker 11 (22:27):
And it certainly felt like a show tonight.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Yeah. I think so.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
I mean I again, I like Dobbins so much.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
I think he's he's just he's a pro.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
He's an NFL pro running back, and he's a He's
a really good one. Patient, powerful, has explosion runs, hard,
doesn't turn stuff down. And I think Harvey tonight, for
a rookie, really took a couple of positive steps.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
I saw a more I won't say patient, but I saw.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
A guy that has a little more confidence in his
running game, stepping out of tackles and being a little
more patient in the hole. So yeah, I think obviously
you like how the running game performed tonight. You like
how the entire team performed tonight. It's a good win.
It's a win they had to have. Now they're two
and zero at home. You and I have talked about that.
(23:20):
They have nine home games, seven remaining, and I think
this is going to be a playoff team at the end.
They've got to win around seven of those nine and
then split four and four on the road. That would
give him eleven wins, and I think eleven get them
gets the men completely agree.
Speaker 8 (23:34):
Dave.
Speaker 11 (23:35):
Look forward to chopping up with you tomorrow three o'clock.
My friend, great call.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
To night, sounds good.
Speaker 11 (23:38):
Ryan all right Voice the.
Speaker 12 (23:39):
Broncos, Dave Logan, Rick Lewis, Susie Wargen live from a
power field at Mile High. The Broncos win tonight twenty
eight to three, improving to two and two.
Speaker 11 (23:50):
Broncos react. Rolls on.
Speaker 12 (23:51):

We're on until midnight tonight, reacting to this big win
for the Broncos twenty eight to three and really dominant
in all three phases, the first time the Broncos have
really played a complete game so far this season. Now,
of course, some people will say it's because the Cincinnati
(24:32):
Bengals are struggling, and yeah, they have their struggles, no
doubt about that. This is an NFL team, though, and
the Broncos if they would have struggled tonight versus the
Cincinnati Bengals they lost this game. Most people would point
to the Broncos being a flawed team, a significantly flawed team.
Speaker 11 (24:47):
That this doesn't move.
Speaker 12 (24:49):
The needle for some people because of who the Bengals are,
But I really think it should and the biggest reasons.
First of all Bonix played a very good game. Three
hundred and twenty six passing yards. That's a career high
time two passing touchdowns. They finally had a.
Speaker 11 (25:02):
One hundred yard rusher in this game. That's a big deal.
Speaker 12 (25:06):
It's been what do they say, thirty seven games since
the Broncos had a one hundred yard rusher.
Speaker 11 (25:13):
JK.
Speaker 12 (25:13):
Dobbins sixteen carries for one hundred and one yards six
point three per carry. In fact, he had a couple
of long ones called back too, so you think that
that number could have even been better.
Speaker 11 (25:22):
RJ.
Speaker 12 (25:22):
Harvey fourteen carries for fifty eight yards. But the bigger
deal was the four catches for forty that RJ. Harvey had,
including a touchdown. Great game from Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims.
That's one thing that you did like the balance, you know,
Cortland Sudden five catches for eighty one yards and a touchdown,
Marvin Mims six for sixty nine. Troy Franklin four for
fifty five had a big drop in the game. But
the bigger deal was the way they spread the ball around,
(25:44):
the way they got so many guys involved, and of
course defensively, T Higgins only three catches for thirty two
Chase Jamar Chase five for twenty three yards, averaging four
point six per catch. Honestly, I told you know, we
go into these games with expectations of the way that
the teams are going to perform, and in a lot
(26:05):
of ways, the measuring stick for this game was gonna
have to be a Broncos convincing win. I think anything
short of that there would be a lot of questions
about the team offensively, defensively, and including special teams. But
the fact that you did so well in all three phases.
Tonight's tip of the cap to the Broncos, to the
coaching staff. What a win, What a win for the Broncos.
(26:27):
They got the Philly Philadelphia Eagles coming up next week.
Our cover starts at seven am, and then of course
on to London. All right, three, all three, seven, one, three,
eighty five, eighty five five six six niney zero. Let's
get right to the phones and shot, and Pittsburgh is
up first on Broncos react.
Speaker 11 (26:42):
What's up to Sean?
Speaker 2 (26:44):
Hey?
Speaker 7 (26:44):
Ryan? How you doing?
Speaker 11 (26:45):
I'm great man, How are you hey.
Speaker 7 (26:47):
Brother brother? I'm doing good. I like I like the
run game that we got started today. Ryan Sampayton finally
listened to us. He listened to our prayers. We've been
praying for him. Brother, just take consistent with the run,
and he did.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
I love JK.
Speaker 7 (27:00):
Doblas tonight. R J. Harvey, I love him getting the
reps and just tonight, man, I feel like we was
playing Broncos football. You show what I right is to
play action, and we got Evan Ingram involved in the offense,
and Evan Ingram was looking all right. I like to
see him, and just you know, this is just a
little warm up, you know, Ryan.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
For Philly.
Speaker 7 (27:18):
I'm ready for Philly. I'm ready for that test. I
want all the smoke. We Nixon's ready, baby, So we're
gonna see next week, all right, Ryan, thank.
Speaker 11 (27:26):
You, bron I dig it. I like the energy and
I like the optimism.
Speaker 12 (27:32):
I certainly wouldn't have felt like the Broncos were going
to be in position to compete or contend in that
game if they hadn't had a performance like this tonight,
because it builds your momentum, It builds belief within the building,
right offensively, defensively, knowing that you can put together these
kinds of games again, Cincinnati, They're struggling. But that's what
(27:53):
you're supposed to do, right, You're supposed to take care
of these games when you can, and that's what they did.
Speaker 11 (27:58):
A couple of.
Speaker 12 (27:59):
Texts here, I feel like this game is to drop
passes in a Wattenberg less game away from being more
like a forty two to three. Yeah, there are a
lot of penalties tonight, no doubt about that. And it's
an officiating crew that likes to call penalties.
Speaker 11 (28:12):
I think they average twenty four per game.
Speaker 12 (28:14):
We're on the under tonight eighteen only eighteen penalties eleven
for sixty five for Cincinnati, seven for seventy two at
the Broncos. But check out the time of possession almost
thirty eight minutes for the Broncos. That's our fast At
presented by Exfinity introducing the five year price Guarantee one
Internet Price five years Guarantee. And by the way, and
I should have mentioned this right off the top before
(28:36):
we get back to the phones and the text, we
are giving away three fifty dollars gift cards to Sam's
Number three Diner and Bar, presenting sponsor of Denver Defense
three and outs.
Speaker 11 (28:47):
We give away Broncos.
Speaker 12 (28:48):
Reeat gives away three fifty dollars gift cards every week
to listeners in Denver or Boulders.
Speaker 11 (28:52):
So we're doing that again tonight, not just because they won.
Speaker 12 (28:55):
We do this every night so you'll have an opportunity
for like you're call for, like your ten give way
three those tonight.
Speaker 11 (29:03):
Have about it.
Speaker 12 (29:04):
Back to the phones again. You gotta live in Denver
or Boulder. Smock, you're up next year on Broncos React
with Brian Edwards.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
Was up?
Speaker 11 (29:10):
Smock?
Speaker 2 (29:11):
What's up? Brian?
Speaker 10 (29:13):
Longtime listener, first time Carl, appreciate it? Man Hey, first
and fourth, first and foremost, Great Wins never complained about
a a bron quick question for you. Every time that
they reported a tackle eligible number sixty three, the crowd
went absolutely nuts. Could you provide any clarity on that?
(29:36):
It was a topic topic of concern with the fans
in the stadium. I had no idea. Am I missing something?
Is there an inside joke?
Speaker 9 (29:44):
I don't know?
Speaker 1 (29:45):
But great win?
Speaker 12 (29:47):
Yeah, a topic of concern? What do you what do
you mean topic of concern? I mean I heard the
crowd cheers. It's Alex Pelchewski.
Speaker 10 (29:53):
Yeah, I just we we were at lost. We didn't
know what was going on. We thought we were missing something.
We've been in the games for forty years. I've never
heard the crowd erupt every time they would report a
tackle eligible Number sixty three.
Speaker 7 (30:07):
Thought there was an inside joke and we're missing out.
Speaker 10 (30:10):
I thought you would have some information.
Speaker 11 (30:12):
On that, all right, Thanks for the call, man. I
don't think.
Speaker 12 (30:15):
I don't think it was a I mean, it was
just it's Alex Pelchewski. He's he subbed in for Mike
mcglinchy last year right tackle, So.
Speaker 11 (30:25):
I don't know. I think it's just fun.
Speaker 12 (30:27):
Maybe that's there's something eventually the Broncos are building into
the offense where Alex Peltchewsky's going to go out into route.
But maybe it's just something that the crowd kind of
get into. And they announced it a lot tonight. I
mean I heard it through the broadcast and David Rick
were commenting on it, and it just became kind of fun.
Speaker 11 (30:46):
I guess.
Speaker 12 (30:46):
I don't I don't know if there's an inside joke necessarily,
but I think they just I don't know, you might
might build something in for Alex Peltchewski at some point.
A couple of days texts here Ryan twelve carries versus
twenty six. The passes in the first half was baffling.
Then up twenty one to three third quarter and we're
still passing first and second down and going for three
(31:06):
and out on to the first two drives. I've seen
it clearly all season that we need to run the ball,
play defense, and control the clock. But Sean Payton apparently
just figured it out in the fourth quarter tonight. It's
all hugs and high fives against the Bungles sans Joe Burrow.
But if Peyton insists on trying to make him in
both the Hero weekend and week out, we're in for
nothing more than the rebeat the last season. Last season,
(31:27):
loved the show and love Sam's number three. Chadd and
Green Mountain, well.
Speaker 11 (31:30):
Thank you, Chad.
Speaker 12 (31:31):
Yeah, they came out flat, right, I mean, there's no
doubt about that in the third quarter. That hasn't been
consistently the case all season. It's relatively young in the season,
but they did come out flat in the third quarter
put it away in the fourth. I think part of
the running it in the fourth quarter was a feeling
that the Bengals, especially on defense, were kind of done
and I say given up, but I mean there's a
(31:53):
lot of infighting on the sideline.
Speaker 11 (31:55):
Jamar Chase t Higgins were looking pretty unhappy. I mean,
it just was.
Speaker 12 (31:58):
It was a mess at that point, and I think
the Broncos just leaned on it. You'd like to see
them lean on I think there's more opportunities to lean
on it.
Speaker 11 (32:05):
To your point, but.
Speaker 12 (32:08):
I understand your point, Chad. I think consistency overall is
something that you're looking for the Broncos regardless of the situation,
and tonight though dominant wins, certainly there there's there's room
for improvement, no doubt. Let's go back to the phones
Ian in Iowa. You're up next year on Broncos react
with Ryan Edwards.
Speaker 11 (32:27):
What's up in Hey?
Speaker 13 (32:29):
You guys love the show. I'm gonna quickly recap my
favorite plays of the game. The Bonito Benito and Cooper Sack.
Oh my, they were both shot out of a cannon.
It was like von Miller asked, they both like it was.
It was a three man rush and they it was
a classic like Mead at the quarterback it was nuts.
That was awesome. And then the funny thing was they
(32:49):
kind of got after each other to see who was
actually get credit with the sack, so it's funny bonus
clearly bad pick there at you know, a second quarter,
but he came back in that too, me drill and
that was unbelievable. The throws he made people want to
question his arm strength coming out of draft. If you
look at the throws he threw to Franklin, it was
then in cut onto Franklin I believe was Franklin, and
(33:11):
then the touchdown to Sutton. Holy buckets. He just ripped
those throws and that was so fun to watch and
bo bo is it and I just love watching them
play football.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
And kind of a.
Speaker 13 (33:22):
Comment I made to we have a little family group
chat where we watched the Broncos. I clearly think that JK.
Dobbins vision now that we don't love Davante and some
of the running backs has had in the last few years,
but JK. Dobbins's vision when he's making these runs, it's
like he's patient just enough and they boom. He hits it,
and his vision is clearly on next level to what
we've had the last couple of years in our running game.
(33:44):
And I think R. J. Harvey is also gonna be
very good. But JK. Dobbins is fun to watch behind
his office line. So the guy's great wins tonight. Any
of the fans complaining, Hey, we just won an NFL
football game by twenty eight to three and now gaining
by how many yards? Thirty three hundred and fifty three,
So go Broncos, let's get next week.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
I like it.
Speaker 12 (34:03):
Good call, and I don't know if anybody's complaining. I
think it's more of it's like the ebb and flow
of the season. It's style points, right. I don't think
that even that text that read wasn't so much a complain,
I mean was a complaint, but I'm just saying I
think it's more of like, all right, well, there's a
standard that you can have so where you are complete.
Speaker 11 (34:20):
You played a complete game.
Speaker 12 (34:23):
I mean, you have the interception there right before half,
but you came back and made up for with a
touchdown to Corlon Sudden point of it is is there
are still things that this team needs to work on,
and you come out of this game. There's nobody in
that locker room that is going to convince themselves that
they played a perfect game. That we can sit here
and say twenty eight to three is as close to
it as you can get because of those things, because
(34:46):
of the moments where you wear a little flat in
the third quarter, because of the interception, because of the penalties,
especially at the center. I think five penalties tonight for
Luke Wattenberg. That's got to be discussed.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
But JK.
Speaker 12 (34:57):
Dobbins, I mean, my goodness, you're talking about a guy
that's average five point four yards per carry. He's got
three rushing touchdowns on the season, over two hundred rushing yards,
including tonight with a one oh one.
Speaker 11 (35:09):
Is that right?
Speaker 12 (35:10):
That doesn't seem it seems like you have more. Point
of it is, though, Yeah, I think he's got more.
I think they just haven't done the math here yet.
But the point of it is is he's been He's
been outstanding for this team, no doubt about it. Today's
game is brought to you by Carl Radden's for Responsible
Energy Development developing Colera's energy. Learn more at cred dot org.
That is creed dot org. I'm Ryan Edwards again. We're
(35:30):
gonna have an opportunity for you to win fifty dollars
gift cards. We have three of them to give out tonight.
Sam's number three Diner and Bar, phenomenal sponsor, presenting sponsor,
the different defense three and outs.
Speaker 11 (35:40):
The Broncos win the night twenty eight to three.
Speaker 12 (35:42):
I'm gonna read another text and we gotta take a
quick break, this one on the Palchewski number sixty three.
They were just cheering because it kept happening.
Speaker 11 (35:51):
Was kind of a joke. Nothing concerning, No, I didn't
think it was anything concerning. I think it's just it's
just funny. Yeah, it is kind of funny.
Speaker 12 (35:59):
Let's see here, as anyone tried putting sticky notes on
Luke Wattenberg's locker telling him to fix it.
Speaker 11 (36:05):
That that's a nice callback to a former coach.
Speaker 12 (36:07):
They used to do things like that that didn't go
very well in the locker, and my daddy would go
over very well. Now Forsyth needs to start. If the
Broncos coaching staff deems Alex Forthyes a better option, he'd
be the starter.
Speaker 11 (36:24):
I'm just letting y'all know that the.
Speaker 12 (36:26):
Broncos internally get to see these guys way more than
we do. We get to watch them in training camp
and offseason practices, all those kinds of things. If the
Broncos coaching staff all offensive minded for the most part.
If they viewed Alex Forsyth as a better option, they
would go with him. But they don't. They believe in
Luke Wattenberg at least for now. Uhle's see couple more.
(36:47):
Bo looked a lot better in the pocket tonight versus
all the rollouts and boots. Let's establish their run first
and then the boots will come. Feels like we're doing
it backwards sometimes, but all in and all the offense
look good. Yeah, you know I could go on with that,
go along with that. Hey, let's paut ten seconds. First
station identification. You're listening to Broncos React on the KO
Broncos Radio network.
