Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three acts presented by Century Casinos, Welcome to the Winner
Zone in Central City and Cripple Creek by Common Spirit,
Hells Hospitals, Clinics and Caregivers with a focus on human kindness,
and by Bellow Windows and Doors of Denver and Northern
Colorado Pella Denver dot Com No back to the stadium
with Dave Logan and Rick Lewis.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
It's NFL.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
It's gonna come down to the last quarter when we
just kept going and deepens our back all day and
uh well, a great win on the road.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Nick rolls to his right, stops, throws past Plot had
it ain't going.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
With the catch, dives to the goal line, touchdown.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Denver dobbins behind Nick's play fake. Nick rolls to his right,
goes about a zone.
Speaker 5 (00:40):
Franklin has it two point conversion.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Is drug my big step? Who's gonna keep building on that? Man?
This was a huge win, no no doubt about that.
Denver down seventeen to three starting the fourth quarter, and
as I mentioned earlier in franchise history, down fourteen in
the fourth Denver since nineteen sixty had played in one
(01:04):
hundred and thirteen games with that and they had lost
one hundred and twelve of them one and one twelve.
But they won for the second time as they come
back score the last eighteen points of the game and
win it here in Philadelphia twenty one, two seventeen. We'll
have Boonicks join us shortly. Let's get to the text line.
The seven oh one two six to oh crazy game
(01:26):
looked like a completely different Where did it go to?
Just refreshed? It's much too fast for me. Where did
it go? Well, I'll try to find that one seven
oh one two six oh? What a game? We finally
finished one of these. If we start putting four quarters
of football together, we're gonna be pretty salty, all right? Yeah?
(01:49):
I agree? Nine to seven oh six eighty nine, guys,
very t bo esque like. Great fourth quarter defense kept
them in the game. Major stones to Peyton for the
two point version. Good character, gut check victory. That's from
Tom in Loveland. Seven one nine six.
Speaker 6 (02:08):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
We won. I'm now gonna get diet soda wasted. This
makes up for the two walkoff losses you and I
were talking. This is the third game this year that
they've had, third game out of five that the game
has ended on the last play and This was the
first time the Broncos have felt good after the game ended.
Speaker 7 (02:24):
Yeah, you played for the Cardiac kids back in your
day with the Browns. Broncos kind of becoming the twenty
twenty five version of the Cardiac Kids. This time they
come out on top. Hey, they dominated the second half.
Two hundred and fifty six yards for the Broncos in
the second half.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
To one twenty eight per Philly. That's money time. Yep.
I can't tell you how important JK. Dobbins has been
to this team. I like R. J. Harvey too, but
Dobbins in the offensive line, you got to give them
a lot of credit. They had one hundred and thirty
yards rushing on this defense.
Speaker 7 (03:00):
Dobbins ended up with seventy nine and a touchdown four
yards of carry.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Seven one nine four eight. This was as good a
comeback since Manning brought the Broncos back in San Diego.
But this game was high stakes. Yeah. I called that game,
and Denver in the in that San Diego game was
down twenty I believe twenty four to nothing and came
back to win the game. But this one today is
(03:30):
is sweet for the Broncos three zero three, five to one.
Five snapped the Eagles twelve game home win streak, snapped
their undefeated record this season. Such an amazing game, seven
to two, five six, ok and schem Payton finally amit?
This team needs to run the ball in order to
be successful. What a fourth quarter wow. I think Sean
(03:50):
would would agree with that. Seven one, nine five two.
Great call is always Dave and Rick. Looks like we're
starting to get an identity on offense consistently. Is the key? Okay?
Two oh eight? Where's two oh eight from Doc? Is
(04:11):
that Seattle? Don't know? We'll find out two oh eight.
We have Bronco fans everywhere. Five nine to eight. Biggest
wins in Super Bowl fifty. What an insane win? So proud. Well,
let's put that in context. Would this be that's Idaho? Okay?
Would this be the biggest win since the Super Bowl? Again,
(04:32):
I'm doing this arguably topic.
Speaker 7 (04:34):
I say yes, you beat the Super Bowl champs on
the road on a short week. Factor that in as well,
short week on the road against the Super Bowl champs
undefeated going into the game.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
They had a two point pass in that game. Of course,
super Bowl fifty that was actually Peyton Manning's last pass
Manning to Fouler for the two point conversion. I'm asked again,
three oh three six three eight, Dave Logan, is this
the best win for the Broncos in Super Bowl fifteen.
I hadn't thought about that, but thanks to our our fans,
our Texters. Yeah, man, I'm just sitting here thinking. I
(05:11):
think so if you put everything into context, where they
were playing and who they were playing, and the fact
that they haven't I've only had one playoff game since
twenty fifteen, so it would have to be a regular
season game. Yeah, I think I would. I think I
would take this seven one nine three one four, huge win.
I just refreshed again. Seven nine lost it. Let's see
(05:42):
three to one Oho that I think is California eight
four to four diver put Philly to sleep with all
those nice punts, way too many penalties on both sides.
I'm still not clear on how they won. They they
won because they were by far the better team late
in the game. They were better on offense and they
were better on defense. I mean, that's that's a pretty
good way. And they had some big, big plays nixt
(06:05):
to Sutton, big conversion, knicks to Ingram, the eleven yard touchdown.
I mean big play there, they they I mean they
made more plays late in that game than the Eagles did. Period.
Speaker 7 (06:18):
Get bow Nicks some credit too, in the fourth quarter
nine out of ten, one hundred and twenty eight yards
and a touchdown, one fifty two point eight passer rating.
So bow Knicks continues to get better. This team continues
to get better. Now week five, They've gotten better every
single week. Today they beat the Super Bowl champs on
the road three oh three nine.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Phenomenal win with four exclamation marks I'm still shaky with nerves, excitement,
and then seven exclamation love this confidence boost for the
offense and always love our d all right. Three oh three,
five oh six felt like I was watching Elways helicopter Dave.
Thanks Mark, Yeah they man. You know it is the
(07:01):
regular season. There's plenty of football left. I understand that
their Broncos are flying to London tonight. I'll catch up
with them Saturday. But it's okay to celebrate a win
like this. It's hard enough to win, but to go
on the road beat an unbeaten team, super Bowl champions,
a team that always plays well at home, and be
fourteen points down entering the fourth quarter. The Broncos had
(07:23):
twenty eight snaps of offense today in Eagles territory. The
Eagles had twelve on Denver side of the fifty fourteen
of the Denver twenty eight snaps were in the fourth quarter,
so they spent the entire fourth quarter basically in Eagles territory.
Speaker 7 (07:42):
In Denver with twelve penalties. You clean up half of those.
This game would have looked a lot easier in that
fourth quarter for the Denver Broncos. They hurt themselves once
again today with.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Penalties seven to two, six, seven five. I loved how
quiet Eagle Stadium got it for the two point conversion. Yeah,
it it did. The birds flew away, all those all
those birds in the stadium, they flew away five oh
five nine seven seven Ballsy game, huge win. I'm worried
about Singleton and coverage. Yeah, alex Is Is I think
(08:14):
a really good player, but it's not you know a time.
At times you're gonna get caught when you want to
either bring pressure or you want to lock up, and
linebacker is gonna get caught on a running back. And
when you get caught on Jonathan Taylor, who's one of
probably the five fastest backs in the league. He plays
for Indy and then you get caught on Saquon Barkley.
(08:35):
He's in the top five in terms of speed. It is.
You got to make sure you get to the quarterback
because you're not going to cover backs that had that
kind of athletic ability too long. I don't care what
kind of linebacker you are.
Speaker 7 (08:47):
Teams are attacking him seemingly every week. He did get
a sack today along with six tackles.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Nine seven four two four signature win the fourth quarter
is ours a lot of heart and moxie. Yep, I agree.
Three oh three, three four five. Yay. The Broncos are
now the little darlings of the NFL, making Orange great again. Okay,
all right? Uh seven oh one, seven oh one.
Speaker 7 (09:15):
I sort of go to you for these things. No, don't,
there's so many area codes.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Did Denver just win an early start East Coast game
against the Super Bowl champs? Yes, sir, could be a
season changeing win. You know you think about that. That's
that had really been the bugaboo for the Broncos for
so many years, well before this edition of the Broncos.
When they went back east and played early, they just
didn't play well.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
We talked about the the difference in rushing. The Broncos
had one hundred and thirty yards of rushing, the Eagles
had forty five. First half, the Eagles had nine carries
as a team for forty one. In the second half,
the Eagles ran the ball twice for four yards. Now
you had asked we talked about Sakawon Barkley before, and
I said, I don't think he'll care because he had
(10:01):
three hundred and forty five carries last year. I think
it's all good as long as you're winning. Now that
they lose this game, I bet, I bet there's plenty
of talk here in Philadelphia. We won't be here, but
I bet there's plenty of talk about, Hey, why don't
you give the ball more to Saque?
Speaker 7 (10:17):
Yeah, that's a head scratcher. Only six carries thirty yards.
He did have three receptions for fifty eight, including a touchdown.
But yeah, I don't get it. Best running back in
the league.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Seven one, nine two eight seven. I caught the game
with you guys from Prague. Boom Nice win jents Prague, Czechoslovakia. Yeah,
unless it's Prague. Is there a Prague in Idaho. I
don't know.
Speaker 7 (10:44):
Let's go with Czecho Slovakia. I've never heard of Prague, Idaho,
have it either? I just threw that out there.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
Okay, okay, five oh five, that is New Mexico. I
believe nine to seven seven. I can't wait for green
Lawn and Sanders to get back. Yeah, I think. I
think Dre Greenlaw is really close. I can tell you
that much. Six six, oh, don't know. I love the win,
(11:11):
but when we beat the Chiefs for the first time recently,
I would take that as the biggest win. Yeah, I
don't me. I would disagree. I'd take this one one.
They Broncos beat the Chiefs in Denver too. The Chiefs
didn't play very many, if any other starters, right because
they'd already they'd already clinched. Let's head down to here.
Coach Sean Payton's press conference.
Speaker 6 (11:34):
Yeah, I mean, listen, he's a competitor.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
You know.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
There were a handful of plays in the first half
that I know he'd won back. And and look, the
delay game was my fault, you know, spitting it out.
But that all being said, man, you can feel his
leadership when it matters. And then you can feel the confidence,
(11:57):
you know, with his teammates when it matters. So he
played exceptional in the second half. Yeah, yeah, listen, he
and I spoke this past week and like we don't
no one keeps track of that kind of stuff. And
(12:18):
then he was just getting back from being put I
think in the Patriots Ring of Honor. You know, he
shared a lot of memories about coaching in this division
because he coached.
Speaker 6 (12:27):
In it forever.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
And you know that was Gibbs in Washington, that was Landry,
that was vermeil Man.
Speaker 6 (12:38):
That was a salty division still is.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
But obviously he.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
And I was talking to him about coming to Philly.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
And how and he listened.
Speaker 6 (12:45):
He agreed.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
He talked about going to Washington, you know, in that
old stadium. You know, when you when you play a
tough opponent like Philly.
Speaker 6 (12:52):
On the road.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
You know, I told our team, I said, look, you're
gonna forget the money, the car, all that stuff, but
you know you're not going to forget just these moments.
You know, this trip over to London. Now, ultimately, that's
what you do it for, you know, you're making memories. Yeah,
mister Penner did, and you know it meant a lot.
(13:20):
I told the team what I just told you. I said,
I just had spoken to Bill. But there are a
number of people when we watch this tape, I'm sure
they'll get game balls and and but to get it here,
I grew up here as a kid. My first NFL
job was here nineteen ninety seven, ninety eight, and you know,
(13:43):
grew up on the Flyers, the Eagles, Sixers. Give you
all the lineups. But there's a lot of respect we
have for this team, this coaching staff, and the team
we just played, Zac Bond. I mean, shoot, a number
of these guys that you know, this is a team
(14:03):
that just won the Super Bowl. So it's a good wine.
Speaker 6 (14:08):
Living in this direction the last year.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
Yeah, how much you know come here, Like you said,
it's pretty good. Yeah, it's it's a good team.
Speaker 6 (14:22):
And so.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
The thing we did was, you know, when you play
something like that, you're gonna get punched and it's not
gonna be easy.
Speaker 6 (14:29):
But we kept fighting.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
And that's that's what I was most encouraged about, just
the fight, the grit, you know, and and then you
felt that this is a funny thing, that momentum shifted.
And when that happened, it's pretty powerful.
Speaker 6 (14:47):
Well, it helps any quarterback. If you're a QB.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
And you're playing good defense, your job is a little
better and you're running the ball your jobs. But if
you're giving up points and you know, you're asking him
to be on the high dive the whole game. So
I think when you're able to run it, it's going
to help your play action.
Speaker 6 (15:06):
Sure enough, we hit.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
Hit the tight end on a on a spear route
off a play action like it all kind of fits together,
and you're on schedules. So at the top of my
call sheet was you know, I knew that we weren't
going to have the same run outcomes, but it's kind
of like you don't get an immediate response, but you
know that ultimately.
Speaker 6 (15:33):
It's effective.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Eighteen points straight.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
Quarter Well, it's a great question because we talked about it.
I said, look, this is you don't get a chance
to playing these games that have a ton of upside. Now,
don't get me wrong, there's downside, but there's a ton
upside relative to defining like what you become, and this
(15:57):
is one of them.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
And you know, I.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
Think I think they were confident coming in. I asked
them afterwards, who are you afraid of you know, and
this this is the league. That's man, there's a fine
line between a groove and a rut, and it was
a good win.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
How much will it be like.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
A regular practice lee It's going to be exactly like.
It's going to be exactly like the practice week, exactly.
Do you want the schedule?
Speaker 6 (16:28):
No? No, no, no, no no.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
Sight seeing you know where we're staying in the middle
of nowhere. No sight seeing God having a good press confidence, honestly,
fair question. So we get in Monday tomorrow morning, we
will run.
Speaker 6 (16:47):
Lift, work out, watch the tape. They're off Tuesday.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
We've got this schedule down, pat Wednesday will be day one.
Thursday third down. So that's the reason for going over.
But it'll be very the last time. There's two other
times we've gone on this trip. Once Shaki tried to
get all the passports and take the team to Amsterdam.
(17:13):
So we put the Kai bouch on that played the
Chargers I think one year of seven to eight, and
then played the Dolphins seventeen or eighteen.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
But we're gonna be.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
The guys will have some dinner, I'm sure, but we're
gonna be. You know, we're gonna go.
Speaker 6 (17:32):
You know it's a normal work week, so.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
But we're we're.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Ways out and go ahead. I got pissed at him,
and he was pissed him.
Speaker 6 (17:48):
Then nothing.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
I just got after him a little just because I
knew that he hadn't gotten the touches, so I didn't,
you know, And then it was like, all right, let's
find these throws real quick. And he was responded and
it was kind of a good thing. But we gotta listen.
He's a great weapon. He made some big plays. Obviously
the touchdown. He's not the primary you know, guy's in
(18:12):
the quarterback's face. He made some big plays for us.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
How much has he developed.
Speaker 6 (18:22):
He's a super pass rusher.
Speaker 4 (18:24):
You guys have seen the confidence just grow and grow
with him. It's a good offensive line. It's quarterback that's
hard to sack. So I'm glad he's on our team. Yeah,
he's got really Yeah, a lot was.
Speaker 6 (18:42):
Made of that. I don't think respectfully.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
I think when you come from college and I know
they were teammates, but there's a whole different We knew
we were going to get the matchup opposite of Courtland,
all right, so we knew twenty seven was traveling with
Courtland there, and Troy's got a really really.
Speaker 6 (19:03):
Good first step, so when you watch the route, it's.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
One jab and it's the quickest, you know, and he
was he was fantastic on its good throw. It's a
throw you got to make on the run. So we
we felt good about that one. Sometimes you play a
game and you got like four other calls that you
would love to have gotten to. Then we won't play
these guys with that defense for another and they just kind.
Speaker 6 (19:26):
Of float away.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
There were two others, but that was one of them.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Similar one of them.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
Know that, even what I had all of them listen,
you know, frustrating when you don't get to use them.
Speaker 5 (19:46):
But the manner in which you failed earlier in Indianapolis
and Los.
Speaker 6 (19:50):
Angeles, getting better, Yeah, getting better. Those are tough.
Speaker 4 (19:56):
Losses and and you know when you lose was on
the last play like that, you know it is what
it is. And we just knew we had to get
better at closing games out. I thought we played really
well in the fourth quarter today and finish the game.
Speaker 6 (20:15):
He's got strong hands in traffic.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
The play he made to get us into field, you know,
that was a huge third down catch and throw. His
confidence and the bow and he now you know, been
together for you know, a good year and a half
two years. You can feel it like I knew he
was throwing that ball to Sutton on that third down,
and you know he had it was a good throw
(20:40):
in a good catch by Courtland.
Speaker 6 (20:41):
So he's a terrific player. You're always.
Speaker 4 (20:51):
We handled that game correctly. At the end, I thought
we did a great job, all right, thank you.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
So that the press conference of Sean Payton. Couple of
uh and we'll wait for bow Knicks here and as
soon as he'll have an interview. Also in the locker room,
he mentioned that his team was was really good in
the fourth quarter closing this thing out. Bow Knicks in
the fourth quarter was nine to ten for one hundred
and twenty eight yards and a touchdown. So for those
(21:20):
that keep passer rating at home, like on the nightstand
next to the bed, that's a one hundred and fifty
two point zero eight quarterback rating. I don't know how
to figure that, but you know that number is good.
You know it's a good number. One fifty eight point
three is perfect. So one fifty two point eight we
(21:44):
will take as very very good. The Broncos, as Sean
Payton said, got better and closed the game out. The
first eight drives for Denver one field goal and seven punts,
the last three drives for the Broncos two touchdowns and
a field goal. Pretty good way to close out of
road victory.
Speaker 7 (22:03):
And let's give some love to Nick Benito. Two and
a half more sacks today. Now, seven sacks in five games.
You're really good at map. That's over twenty sacks. He's
on pace for over twenty sacks.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
For the season. That's right right now. He's a well
over picked. He's on pace for a big payday at
some point, and he already got one.
Speaker 7 (22:21):
He just got paid. But yep, you're right, he's more
than earned that.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Payday already, no doubt. Jeremy Crosshaw. Since we're passing out
at a boys seven punts for the Broncos rookie average
right at forty seven yards per kick, only had one touchback.
Five of those punts were down inside the opponent's twenty
yard line.
Speaker 7 (22:41):
He's been really good. A lot of people worried about
him during preseason. He looked a little shaky, but since
the season started he's been really good. One of the
best punters in the league, YEF. The Eagles average drive
start was their own twenty one. If you look at
the Eagles drives in the first half alone, they started
on their twenty ten, fourteen, eleven and five. Their best
(23:05):
field position to start a driving the first half was
their own twenty yard line.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
So pretty good. We will let's take a time out.
Am I told to hang on one second, Let's not
take the time out. Susie Wrigen is standing by with
Nick Benito.
Speaker 8 (23:24):
Hey, Nick, two and a half sacks, So now you're
the first guy since von Miller in twenty fourteen to
have three in a row at least a sack and
a half. That's pretty good company. In six sacks for
this defense weren't even out there as much as you
guys normally are. Just talk about this defensive, especially in
the second half, holding them scoreless.
Speaker 9 (23:40):
Yeah, man, cats off a bj Man. He gave us
a great plan all week, coach King coach Isaac gave
us a great rush plan all week, and we just
followed our following the rules all week, followed our keys,
and you know it ended up working out for us. Man,
we got the up all right.
Speaker 8 (23:55):
Good job and just now What a way to go
into London getting these guys. I mean, you break a
huge home game winning streak they had, and now we
go on to an international trip.
Speaker 9 (24:04):
Yeah no, I mean definite was a big one for
sir once again, one that was much due these close
ones we haven't been able to finish, but we found
a way to get one today.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
So I was really happy with the team. Get An
attacked by a hangar. I'll let you go, all right,
take back up to you, right, all right, all right,
thank you, Susan. Let's head back down. Talk with the
quarterback of the Denver Broncos Bone Knicks Boat's Dave Logan.
That's pretty interesting fourth quarter. You guys showed a lot
of I thought, mental toughness and grit and made a
(24:34):
whole bunch of plays in the fourth quarter. What were
a couple of the keys in your mind to that happening?
I don't know.
Speaker 10 (24:41):
We just started making, uh you know, spreading the ball around,
going some tempo, and guys just made plays. Cortland made
a couple of good, nice catches, and then everybody else.
I mean, I think the ball were.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Spread around pretty good.
Speaker 10 (24:54):
Quite a few guys brought the ball in last couple
of drives and moved it so and we also ran
the ball. Well, we got in some hurry up and
we moved it down the field and we just got touchdowns.
I'm not exactly sure what it was, but we did it.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
You know what, you don't even have to be sure
the fact that you did do it, and that's that's
really what matters. You had three hundred and fifty eight
yards of total offense, two twenty eight throwing it, one
thirty running it. And as you and I have talked about,
it's important to have that kind of balance. You had
it today against a really good defense.
Speaker 10 (25:24):
Yeah it was, and it obviously happened late, but I
mean we had to get it done, and our defense
just continued to make stops and we went down there
and scored touchdowns and got the two point version. Then
the momentum shifted.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
I'll get you out here on this because I know
you're dying to get on a plane and fly nine
hours to win a game like this when you've had
a couple of chances and the other team, however, they
found a way to win in the last play of
the game. To be on the field and your team
wins literally on the last play of the game. What
is that? Is it a confidence thing? Is it kind
(25:57):
of exhaling? What's the feeling you get from a game
like this today?
Speaker 10 (26:02):
I don't know what it is. Maybe just the belief
that we can win these close games. We've haven't uh,
you know, been great at close games. What we got
it done today against a really good football team.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
Yeah, and uh, enjoy it. I'll talk to you later
this week, Thank you very much. You bet that's Boon
Nicks in the locker room. I thought he might bite
on the I know you're dying to get on the
plane and fly nine hours.
Speaker 7 (26:26):
Yeah, but it's actually a little less from Philly.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Oh you know what, no wonder he didn't answer. That's
why he was a little confused.
Speaker 11 (26:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Think. Today's injury report is presented by Common Spirit Health,
official healthcare partner of the Denver Broncos. Tyler Bidet on
the last drive of the game, had a shoulder injury.
Not to sure exactly to the extent of that injury,
but we know that it happened, so we'll have to, uh,
we'll have to keep keep our eyes on that. And
that is the uh, that is the entire injury report.
(26:56):
Save for a lot of Philadelphia fans who leave today
with their feelings it's hurt. We now look ahead, presented

(27:17):
to say that because, honestly, you know what, I stopped
counting falangies at about fifteen when we pulled into the
pulled into the parking lot. Here with the Eagles fans.
I mean, you love them a little bit, you kind
of smile, but I mean, honestly, pulling from the hotel,
the team hotel, driving down a street that is downtown,
(27:39):
is not even near the stadium. Here's a nice couple,
I would say, probably in their thirties right, not wearing
Eagles jerseys, not wearing anything. Bus goes by. Not the man,
the woman gives us the bird. I mean like like
here you go, fellows, enjoy this on your way to
the stadium.
Speaker 7 (27:58):
I saw it would look to be like a ten
year old kid give us the bird.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Pull the stadium. Next Sunday, the Broncos are going to
be in London, and we'll be there as well. The
crew is going with the team, leaving tonight from Philadelphia.
I'm going to catch a flight home to Denver and
then join them on Saturday. But Sunday morning, get up early,
enjoy the game and the broadcast seven thirty am Mountain
(28:23):

today and so they continue to be in search of
their first win. Then the Broncos will come back immediately
following that game. Get in very late Denver time on

week are home against the Giants October nineteenth with a

Speaker 7 (29:16):
Gritty game, just like this city of Philadelphia, and a
signature win for Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos. Peyton
passes his mentor, Bill Parcells and regular season wins. Bone
Nicks was money in the fourth quarter. Courtland Sutton really
really good all game long, eight catches, ninety nine yards.
He passes Vance Johnson for eighth all time in the
(29:37):
Denver Broncos history in receiving yards. And obviously Courton is
gonna be a Ring of Famer. I believe you've still
got a lot of good football ahead of him. And
it's gonna be a nice flight to London out not
a nine hour flight, Dave. I think it's like five
and a half from here, five and a half from here. Six, Yeah,
it's it's not Lake Denver. We're a little further east
by a couple of h.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
Thank you a little look at the map. You know what,
the last time I took a geography class, I think
I was in.
Speaker 7 (30:03):
Junior in high school. Yeah, well, it's gonna be a
little shorter flight. It's gonna be a good flight. Can't
wait for next week in London. Taken on the winless
New York Jets. Listen, you celebrate this one. Do me
a favor and in London for the week, be very
careful and don't get into any sort of mischief, no trouble. Right,
(30:25):
I know what you're referencing.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
We've seen what you're We've seen NFL announcers from time
to time get in trouble on the road.
Speaker 7 (30:31):
Yeah, so well let's not do that. I'll make sure
not to drink any bass ale.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
Yeah, I'm open. Good idea that will do it. From
Lincoln Financial Field here in Philadelphia. Final score of the
Broncos score the last eighteen points of the game. They
come back from a seventeen to three deficit starting the
fourth quarter and beat the world champion Philadelphia Eagles twenty
one to seventeen. For Susie Wards and my partner Rick Lewis,
I'm Dave Logan. We head back to the KOI Sports
desk and check in with Ryan Edwards.
Speaker 5 (30:58):
Dave, look at you out of here on this one win. Obviously,
you guys are good. Did a great job. They're breaking
it down. I mean the second half, especially the fourth
quarter being scored in the eighteen points there? What changed
for you? Was there something different, at least offensively that
you thought the Broncos did. Maybe he's a leaning on
the run a bit more.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
I mean they, I mean they were able to run
the ball. I think, I think Dobbins. You know, I
thought Dobbins was really good today. I thought the offensive
line for the most part, was pretty damn good against
this Eagles front. You know, you rush for one hundred
and thirty yards and Dobbins again is is patient and
(31:36):
he's powerful and he's gonna keep the chains moving. And
then I thought, bo you know, I mentioned nine of
ten in the fourth quarter, hit some big, big throws,
that big third down, third and fifteen completion to Courtland,
which was right on the money. And then I think,
you gotta, you gotta give Sean a little bit of
credit here for some of the stuff he dialed up
(31:57):
in the fourth quarter. The Ingram touchdown passed and he
was not the primary receiver on that. I thought Ingram
showed up in the fourth quarter. But the little play
that they had and they knew they had it, which
is tough, as you heard him talk about Troy Franklin,
just one jap step and then basically what it is
is a sprint to the pylon and I'm thinking my
guy's faster than your guy, and the ball was right
(32:18):
in the money for the two point conversion. I mean
that came Ryan with a little more than seven point
thirty left in the game. If you don't get that,
you're obviously down one point. So he showed tremendous confidence,
and obviously it was a play that he really liked.
It's one thing to like it, it's another thing to
call it that in that situation, and I credit Sean
Payton for calling it and good execution with Nix and Franklin.
Speaker 5 (32:41):
Perfectly said, my friend, I will break things down with
you tomorrow at three o'clock. Have a say fly back.
Appreciate it, Ryn, Well, I appreciate you as well. That

third and seventeen version in the second was huge momentum
changing play that Denver managed to overcome. With that said,
should VJ keep going with Riley Moss? He's clearly being
(35:01):
targeted by other teams. I mean he's gonna be targeted
because the other guy's pass their tan So no, I'm
not moving on from Riley Moss. I think you're gonna
keep rolling him out there, and he didn't see him
get beat a lot in the second half. I know
that there was one that was called back in an
illegal shift, so I guess you would point to that one.
But Devatae Smith is that kind of guy, and so
(35:22):
I'm not gonna panic too much on Riley Moss. I
still think he's a very good cornerback. But that's what's
gonna happen. Is you're gonna get targeted and you're gonna
get beat, and sometimes you're gonna have to make some plays.
And I wouldn't say he had his best day. In
the end, you kind of move past it because you
found a way to win. But I understand the mindset.
I certainly saw some of the reaction on Twitter as
(35:43):
the game was going on. This is the win that
will propel the team for the rest of the season.
Next five games are easily winnable to varying degrees. Listen,
we said that even a couple of weeks ago when
they lost to the Chargers. Say the Broncs are about
to go on a run save for this game against
the Eagles, which I think a lot of us expected
to be maybe a loss, So here it is. It's
(36:06):
a win. You're now three and two with an opportunity
to go on a run. But you gotta stay focused.
The Jets are winless. They're gonna be as desperate as
they possibly can be in this game against London. The
last thing you want to do is get this big
win over the Eagles and then step your toe in
London against the Jets. Reminder, we're giving away three Sam's
Number three Diner and Bar fifty dollars gift cards because
(36:27):
there are sponsor for the Denver three and outs Broncos.
React gives away three fifty dollars gift cards every week
to listeners. But you gotta be in Denver Boulder, okay,
So reminder we're gonna be doing that. I like your
call off, like your text, and you live local. Give
a chance to win a fifty dollars gift card to
Sam's Number three Diner and Bar. We kick things off
with Kyle and san Antonio. What's up?
Speaker 12 (36:47):
Kyle down't goals? Fraser down't go Prasier? Oh, I just
I had the PSL I in order to the po said
all week I waited just today today, this is the win.
We hope it's Broncos fans every week is we just
(37:08):
making one and oh this week, making one and o
next week, but we finally get the dog over a
playoff contender or you know for Super Bowl contenders. Like
I got out of my car screaming. Everybody's looking at
me like I'm crazy, and I'm just like, my team
just came in as probably one of the biggest underdogs
of the week. And I love it when the Denver
(37:30):
Broncos are underdogs because you know what, when of the
best teams have been on in the league. I'm telling you,
I live for wins like this is a Broncos fan.
I don't want to get ahead of myself, but you
know what, God, this feels really good. So you know,
people keep talking on Roley Moss.
Speaker 13 (37:47):
Riley Moss is a dog.
Speaker 12 (37:48):
I think it's a whole defensive dog. Jadade Barn's a dog,
Nick Benito's dog. The whole teams full of dogs. So
you know what, Oh, this makes me feel so good.
So you know what, Ryan, I'll just end it like this,
make it one and o this week. You have to
make it one to know next week again the Jets.
Speaker 13 (38:03):
Let's do it.
Speaker 5 (38:04):
Let's do it perfectly, said Kyle, thanks for the call.
Great energy, man. Imagine most calls is after dude, I
don't know if they're all gonna be that animated kind
of hope they are. You said, I'm on untill a
note o'clock with you, So yeah, I wouldn't you say
pace yourself, just go all out, let's have fun. Yeah,
Ian in Iowa up next year on Broncos React.
Speaker 14 (38:21):
What's up in hey, guys? Great to be on a
couple of things.
Speaker 11 (38:27):
Number One, Courtland Sidon, I say every time I call
you guys, if he's the most underappreciated, why I shouldn't
that all. I'm a long time Bronx fan of course,
so you know every week he starts to get more
and more into that Rod Smith's territory for me, and
that is it, you know, as.
Speaker 14 (38:41):
Broncos guys, that's the highest praise. Eason guests rod Smith
was the toughest. That will be the more of Broncos
Jersey and Courtland uses his body every week and it's
just unstoppable.
Speaker 11 (38:51):
I love Courtland Signon. I had the unpleasure of clicking
on a Troy Rank tweet at halftime about bow Nick, saying,
you know that he should be benched or worse did him?
And I'm hoping those were bots because did we see
the second half from Bonuts?
Speaker 14 (39:08):
Unbelievable?
Speaker 11 (39:08):
That guy the mental toughness is insane. And there was
a screenshot you guys saw it. But in the second
half after Boonix completed that two point version of him
coming off the field with Patrick can this grinning eary
ear of him? And I'm like, that is our entire
franchise right there, two guys in the same picture, and
I cannot wait to watch them for the next twelve
(39:29):
whatever how many years? My god, can you get two
more better representatives of the Broncos country asletely insane? I'm
gonna quickly give coach Joseph his flower, amazing great drop.
We held the Super Bowl champions in seventeen points, and
I was hoping you guys can help me out with
a little debate here. I'm in a kind of in
a little battle with my brothers. I ain't claim that
(39:50):
this is the biggest regular season win since we beat
the Patriots in the snow with bork Osweiler. They're saying
that last year's Colts game was bigger. I disagree, because
this is the win that puts us on the map
of Hey, we're not just hoping to make it last.
We're coming to the AFC West, and you know what,
let's not even settle for that. Let's keep it freaking going.
(40:12):
So go Broncos. Love the show.
Speaker 5 (40:13):
Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Ian, I'd say this is
a bigger win than that. I'd say it's bigger win
than any game they had last year. The closest that
comes to mind, at least from the Sean Payton era,
is probably the primetime game against the Buffalo Bills two
years ago. That game, and I want to say it
was a Monday night football game, but that game for
me was pretty massive considering who Buffalo was. But this
(40:37):
one is bigger. I mean, you're talking about the defending
Super Bowl champions, a team that does not lose at home,
that won twenty of their last twenty one, and they
they found unique ways to win. I mean, there were
moments where you felt like, Okay, well here's here's going
to be that that moment where the Eagles do it right,
where there's going to be blocking the Will LUTs field
goal attempt there at the end, and they're gonna run
(40:59):
back for a touchdown or even run it back into
field goal range, and the Broncos were gonna lose. It
just felt like any moment that the Eagles were gonna
take it over and find a way to win. They
just didn't. And really the credit goes to the Broncos
for not letting them. That's really what it comes down to.
It's not it's not even really about the Eagles that point.
It's about the Broncos not allowing them to put their
(41:20):
position themselves in position to win that game. That's the
most impressive thing to me and most teams do you
know Historically when the Broncos play the Chiefs, and what
a lot of teams playing the Chiefs, they would find
ways to make mistakes, find ways to create errors for
themselves in snowball to a point where they would lose
that game. So credit to this team to put themselves
(41:43):
in a situation and then be unrelenting the two point
conversion that that right there, I'm you're you're on the
road with a chance to tie. Considering everything that had
happened in that game, you had a chance to tie them,
and you said, no, we're going for two. And you
said it right away, like Sean Payton held up his
(42:04):
hand and said we're going for two. After the Evan
Ingram touchdown. Got some stones right there, because if you
don't get that, guess who guess what we're second guessing.
Because the Eagles, who historically are one of the better
running teams, I know they're struggling this year. They're going
to find a way to close out that game on
the ground, and you don't. You probably don't get the
ball back, but instead you get that. So that means
the Eagles have to be aggressive to get down into
(42:26):
field goal range. They don't, and the Broncos get the
ball back on offense and they close that thing out
on offense. I know that eventually the Eagles got a
chance to hail Mary, but the Broncos drive that final
drive of eleven plays fifty yards, milking almost four minutes
off the clock and getting a field goal that was
so clutch, tremendous. Back to the phones, three oh three, seven,
(42:49):
three eighty five eighty five to Sean in Pittsburgh, what's
up to Sean and of the d.
Speaker 13 (42:57):
Of the Bronco. Hey, Ryan, bro, what I say, Bro?
We went in the Philly and put belt today. Booty.
I can't say what I want to say because I'm
trying to get hut off. We put belt today, Booty.
We ran the ball. We played nasty Broncos football. We
stayed in it. We know how to take down Jahs.
We've been playing the best quarterback in the league for
(43:19):
two years, ever since he came in the league and
patched Mahomes. We know how to Henry's moments. Ryan, Like
you said, we just couldn't close. Today, we found a
way to close and hit these boys in the mouth.
Shut down Barkley for the most part. Defense. Great job,
Jael Skinner, you almost got me rip my shirt.
Speaker 11 (43:36):
Brother.
Speaker 13 (43:36):
I love you right now, but I kind of hate you,
like the little brother that I want to take with
me to the store. But you acting up. But Jael Skinner,
I still love you. I love the Broncos bow Knicks.
Good job guys on too.
Speaker 5 (43:49):
You know where we're going to London?
Speaker 13 (43:51):
All right?
Speaker 5 (43:51):
See your brother Sean appreciate you. Yeah, that's right, sounds
good man. Yeah they did. They did take it to
a good stuff Alex. And now those ranch. We'll go
back to the text line in here just a second,
Alex and Higland's rancher up next year and Broncos react,
what's up, Alex.
Speaker 14 (44:07):
Let's go.
Speaker 15 (44:09):
I'm so happy, Ryan, the Broncos.
Speaker 16 (44:11):
They saves my tears. They saves my TV.
Speaker 15 (44:14):
Like I was about to punch a hole on my
TV if the Broncos do not close this game out.
And I'm just so happy.
Speaker 16 (44:22):
That they did.
Speaker 15 (44:23):
And I just feel I'm just so happy that they did.
Speaker 16 (44:25):
I was happy when I saw Evan Ingram.
Speaker 15 (44:27):
Score a touchdown, like he hasn't scored a touchdown.
Speaker 16 (44:29):
To the Broncos yet. And JK.
Speaker 15 (44:31):
Dobbins, we got the running game going. And another crazy thing, Ryan,
we outran the Eagles, the best running team, one of
the best running teams.
Speaker 16 (44:39):
Top like five rushing in the league.
Speaker 15 (44:42):
Don't We held them the forty five yards even though
they're slow this year. Forty five yards only fifteen yards
in the second half. Vance Joseph probably one of the
best defensive coroinators, maybe the best defensive corodinator in the league.
You schemed, he schemed everything out perfectly. In the second half.
Speaker 16 (44:59):
You sacked he hurts six times.
Speaker 15 (45:01):
He's a hard t beat the sack and you held
the ball for thirty four minutes. That's just perfect. The
winner is a win, and the Broncos did it, and
bow Knicks did excellent. And here's one crazy stat for you, Ryan.
The Broncos are two and eleven under Sean Payton in
close games. And they're also two and one hundred and
twelve in Broncos franchise history, all out when they're above,
(45:26):
when they're down by fourteen points and above.
Speaker 16 (45:29):
And they just did that.
Speaker 15 (45:30):
They got their second win of that, and I feel
like that's just remarkable. And this Broncos team is going
to go off with another win against the jetson London.
Speaker 5 (45:39):
It's gonna be good. Alex appreciate the call, and I'm
glad your TV was saved. I'm not gonna lie to you.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
I was. We were.
Speaker 5 (45:48):
We were shouting around here. There's a lot of yelling
when the Broncos finish'll finish that game off. A lot
of it comes down to, though, because of just how
gut wrenching these late game moments have become. It was
almost an energy release. I imagine it was the same thing
for you guys, because we've we've been here right. I mean,
(46:11):
just this season, the cults of the Chargers game, gut
wrenching end of game losses, and you sort of felt
like this was angling towards that because of who the
Eagles are. But here are the Broncos on the other
side of it, finding way to close it out. Very
good stuff. Keep calling three h three seven one, three
eighty five eighty five, five, six, six nine zero. A
couple of text I want to get two let's see
(46:32):
you here from Larry and Legunta. I think that's what
it is. The two point conversion was a gutsy call.
What a great win for the Broncos. I do remember
mister Albright saying how Sean Payton is aggressive until the
fourth quarter and then his butt cheeks clinch up. Well,
I wonder how he answers this. I mean, Ben will
find a way to equivocate and he'll he'll move the goalposts.
(46:54):
We'll see what he says, Hanta, thank you, sorry about that,
but yeah, well Ben, we'll be on here around six
clock tonight. I'm sure that he'll find ways to dodge
and dip and duck and move around all of those
hot takes. Yeah, that's what I favorite movies, by the way,
the five the five d's of Dodgeball. I'm usually agree
(47:15):
with Ben, but I can't talk about the questionable officiating
decisions that went against Philadelphia without mentioning the questionable official
officiating decisions that went against the Broncos. The patser tan
PI that was picked up, the DPI call against Philly
that would have given Denver a first down the red zone.
That's Roger and Bakersfield. Yeah, there's bad calls really on
both sides. Honestly, I still to this moment don't understand
(47:35):
how Marvin Mims didn't draw that DPI right before half
that that blows my mind. The fact that they threw
the flag and then picked it up. There was bad
officiating on both sides. So yeah, there might be some
Eagles fans that are gonna be growling about that, but
they really have They have nothing to complain about in
comparison to what was going on for both teams. Ryan,
(47:56):
thanks for all you do. I can't believe we pulled
that off. Go Broncos, and I know you will hate it,
but I is Ben PSL's or milkshakes.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
Man.
Speaker 5 (48:03):
You don't have to have a wrong opinion, just like
Ben has many, many, many wrong opinions. Remember there's like
three l's in his last name for a reason. Was
this Charles Charles?
Speaker 2 (48:13):
Was that the game?
Speaker 5 (48:13):
What's up Charles here?
Speaker 3 (48:15):
Hey, I'm here, Hey, I'm just leaving the Eagles game. Man,
I just want to tell you that was a great win.
Benito Sack turned that game around. The Eagles fans were nasty,
but they actually were pretty nice at the end. So
it was good. It was good all the way around. Man,
it was a fantastic game. And I'm like, I'm so,
(48:36):
I'm so stoked.
Speaker 11 (48:37):
Man.
Speaker 3 (48:37):
I talked to Nick after the game, and he is,
he is. He was super super excited.
Speaker 5 (48:44):
That's amazing. So yeah, So the Eagles fans were pretty chill.
I mean not chill. They're they're a very rowdy bunch.
But I've heard generally speaking going to Eagles games, isn't
that It's not like they're you're gonna be threatened there.
There are other obviously other stadiums where that that's the case.
Speaker 3 (49:00):
Yeah, they were they were threatening.
Speaker 5 (49:03):
Oh were they Okay?
Speaker 2 (49:04):
Very threatening in fact?
Speaker 3 (49:05):
Man, Yeah, they were giving us the finger, they were
cursing us out, they were going crazy.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
At the game.
Speaker 9 (49:12):
You know.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
We we we.
Speaker 3 (49:14):
All had on Benito jerseys and that upset them, you.
Speaker 6 (49:17):
Know, and uh but uh.
Speaker 3 (49:20):
But it was still fun, man, It was really great.
We we left like right before the game ended so
we could get to the car because we were kind
of scared, to be honest with you.
Speaker 6 (49:30):
But but it was it.
Speaker 3 (49:32):
Turned out to be okay, man, all right, it turned
out to be good.
Speaker 5 (49:35):
I gladginated out of there, okay, And I'm glad you
got to see a Broncos win in Philadelphia.
Speaker 6 (49:41):
Oh it was great.
Speaker 3 (49:41):
