Speaker 1 (00:00):
Dobbins behind Nick's playfake knicks, rolls through.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Is right, throws about the inn Zune Franklin has it
two point conversion, is gun and.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Seven point thirty six to go.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
The Broncos in front eighteen to seventeen. I just when
I heard they were lining up for two. I mean,
I imagine love for a lot of Broncos fans, like, what
are you doing?

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Wait, what are you doing? You don't need to do this,
You're not desperate. There's still a lot of time left.
What are we doing.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
There's still seven thirty six remaining in the game. And
maybe that's part of the reason why you do it right,
Because there's so much time, you assume at that point
you're probably gonna get the ball, which, by the way
you did, your defense forced a three and out three
plays two yards and so even if you don't get it,

(00:51):
you have enough faith in your defense to get the
stop and put you back in position to maybe go
down and get to a field goal and it there
didn't even need it though.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Pretty good stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Welcome back to Broncos React. I'm Ryan Edwards live from
the Smashburger Sports desk with a new four ninety nine
men menu featuring the single All American Burger, single De
Luxe Burger, and the new Americana Big Dog three oh
three seven one, three eighty five, eighty five, five, six,
six nine zero. We go back to the phones and
let's see we got Paul.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
What is up next to Eagle? What's up Paul?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Yeah, Hey Ryan, Hey yeah man. So yeah, I've just
been been watching and I think the Broncos are really good. Uh,
you know, I think a little worried about their defense
is really good and Joseph has done a great job
with Carls. I think Singleton proved today that which is

(01:45):
a weakness that I've been kind of waiting for teams
to exploit, which is across the middle, and I think
that's why we got lob A Lava is not playing.
So I'm a little worried about Singleton. But but then
Jed Barron came in and had the key breakup, and
I believe he was coming covering a tight end. So

(02:05):
maybe Barren uh could fill in that spot. Uh in
certain situations. Moss is I'm a I'm a Moss guy,
and I'm holding him up to the standards of PS two,
which of course is you know, Defensive Player of the Year,
right Moss, I love it. I'm a little bit a

(02:25):
little bit worried about him and gets picked on and
you know, uh, there's times when you know he's just
going to get out run at the NFL. But overall,
I think that Broncos defense. This is the first year
in I don't know how many years that I felt
like that we can play with the Chiefs. And the

(02:46):
reason why is is their defense. And then you add
in that the ticks that the Broncos front office had made,
and I'm on the record of calling and the show
and vilifying the Broncos front office. And we've got some
young players, the running backs, the free agency picks have
proven out so the Broncos could run the ball, which

(03:08):
is great. Nicks has proven to be an outstanding pick
by Peyton at number fourteen. I mean, he just looks
like a diamond and I don't know if he could
call him a diamond in a rapid He's looking like
an all pro type quarterback. And then we've got Nick Benito,
who is only a half a sack off of the
lead leading the league in sockson after today, he might

(03:30):
be I think he had two and a half today.
So you know, the Broncos have got some tough games
coming out. They got the Giant Dallas Green Beata Commanders.
It still comes down to being the Chief. I'm not
gonna I'm not going to get excited until we beat
the Chief because it's all about beating the Chief still,
I think. But I like where the Broncos at are at.

(03:53):
What about you?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
I do, Paul, thank you for the call. I do
like where they're at. And you know, there's some confidence
that they're building. We said earlier in the season when
they lost those gut wrenching games that there's a possibility
to affect their confidence, but so far has not, and
I would venture to say, in fact, winning this game
goes straight into the point of how much this team

(04:17):
still believes in itself even after those losses, because confidence
in you know, I mean, we talk about momentum all
the time, but confidence and momentum are real things, clearly,
and so what you believe in yourself, especially after losses
where you think you should have won but didn't close
out the game. You get into these late game moments
and you sort of see what you're about. If the

(04:39):
Broncos would have seen the Eagles, maybe just a few
games ago. Maybe they do lose this one, right, I mean,
you think about the way they lost the Chargers game
and the way they lost the Colts game. Those are collapses.
This looked like it could have been another collapse. But
the fact that they found a way to win it
tells you that they have grown a lot over the

(05:01):
last few weeks. And we did say early in the
year that those two losses, though brutal and could bite
you when it comes to playoff seating later on, might
prove beneficial for this team at least in knowing what
it takes and how you have to pay attention to

(05:22):
the details in order to close out games. In the league,
they can't just show up and teams are gonna be like, well,
you're the Broncos, so obviously we need to be we
need to be good here, or I mean, we're gonna
we're just gonna fold.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Like that's not the case.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
So that's that's my takeaway here on This win is
for the wonder about if the Broncos we're gonna be
able to survive those late game collapses and put themselves
in position to not have that happen later in the year.
This win sort of solidifies that. Back to the phones
and Joe South Dakota's up next?

Speaker 1 (05:55):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Joe?

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Hey, are you doing today?

Speaker 5 (05:58):
Obviously we're all happy, so but I have a couple
of comments and then I'd like to hear your feedback
on something, you know, just to touch on what you
were just talking about. I think you know, I'm a
longtime season ticket holder, and I think those those older
Bronco fans like me that have been around forever, we
were just money more often than not in those tight

(06:19):
two minute last game situations back in the John Lay
eighties and nineties era, and we've kind of lost that.
And of course earlier this year we had a couple
of those two last second field goal losses. But I
think it's a mindset and I think you're one hundred
percent right. You start to learn to win those games
and the confidence builds because we all remember what it
was like. You're down by a couple of points late

(06:41):
in the game, and we had Lay and company, and
we figure out a way to win those games. I
think we'll get back to that, and I think those
two losses a couple of weeks ago have proved invaluable
to us, and I think it sets us in a
good mindset going forward. But anyway, back to what I
went originally wanted to say, was first of all, congratulation
to coach Payton, because I thought I had read somewhere

(07:02):
that with this win, I think he ties Bill Parcells
and moves up on the coaching list all time wins.
I think it was like fifteenth or sixteen that.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Was last week. This week, now he's passed.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
Okay, perfect perfect. I had one question kind of along
those lines statistical, because I thought I'd read somewhere Courtland
and passed Vance Johnson on something today and we maybe
receiving yards or something. But I wanted to kind of
hear your breakdown about you know, I'm definitely not a
negative Bronco fan. I'm always I always think that there's

(07:33):
and today is a great day to celebrate a big win.
But I was curious color a couple of callers ago
had made the comment about, you know, maybe a little
bit of breakdown and pass coverage on running backs. We've
seen a pattern with Johnson Taylor beating us with a
couple of deep passes that a few weeks ago, and
then Omari and Hampton had a couple of big pass
catches out of the backfield, and then even today, you

(07:56):
know the touchdown to Saquon even though the defense kind
of stifled after that. I'm kind of curious what you
think the adjustment needs to be because that seems to
be maybe a little bit of an achilles heel. We
can't seem to cover backs out of the backfield. And
just just one final positive note and then I'll shut
up and listen to you talk. You know a lot
of people don't realize besides all the tough facts of

(08:17):
the Eagles defending champs, we're on the road, a lot
of things were against us. This is only the second
win we've ever had in Philadelphia ever, and I remember
being you know, in high school we beat them in
the nineteen eighty sixth year to go to the super
Bowl that first year with Elway that he took us there,
and then this is just it's a tough place to
win and this is a big, huge victory for us.

(08:39):
So anyway, I'd like to listen to your thoughts on
the pass cover thing, and thank you for giving me
the opportunity to talk.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
Have a good day.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Sounds good, Joe, Thank you so much. Yeah, it's going
to be a problem all season. I don't know if
there's a way around that. Unfortunately, for the Broncos, it
just seems like what they are an inside linebacker until
Drake Greenlaw is right, which is what you thought was
going to be the case when you made that move

(09:05):
in free agency.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
You thought that would would help fix it. And you
thought the.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Combination with him and then and then maybe Drew Sanders,
who also got hurt, would be enough with Alex Singleton,
but it's an Achilles hill of his defense. It's just
and it's gonna be So you got justin Fields and
Brice Hall for example, coming up here, and Brece Hall
is tremendous catching passes out of the backfield.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
I mean he caught several today.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
I mean they lost the game, but that is definitely
where the Jets, the Giants with Cam Scataboo, that that's
where all these teams are going to target the Broncos justifiably.
And I don't know if there's much you can do
about it today, unfortunately. So hopefully you get Drake Greenlaw back.
He's supposed to come back around the Giants game Week

(09:52):
seven and If that ends up being the case, that
could be great news with the Broncos. And if you
can't do that, then well you're gonna have to find
a way schematically cover for these guys. There's really no
other way around that. Back to the phones, I actually
want to read a couple of texts here. You guys
have been great on the kae Commaspirer Health text line
five six six nine zero. Great performance by the defense.
They kept them from having third and fourth down with

(10:13):
short yardage to go. I don't think there was a
single tush push. Yeah, I don't think there was. That's
a great point. That's a very good point. Yeah, I
don't remember. I mean I think actually the Broncos had
kind of a version of the tush push with bo
Nix on a third and short. But yeah, the fact
that we didn't even have to see that and that
didn't have to be a thing, that's a great point.

Speaker 7 (10:33):
I like that.

Speaker 8 (10:35):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
I agree with going for two points. But when you
think about it, we had not done that.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
The Eagles were going to tie and go to overtime,
so this was avoided all that drama. It's a fair point, right,
because if you just tie the game at seventeen, even
though there's seven and a half minutes left in the
go in the game, you do feel at that moment
the Eagles have kind of got you exactly where you want.
And that's kind of the point I think I was
sort of making was because of going for two and

(11:02):
getting it there, the pressure now was suddenly on the
Eagles to do something that they hadn't been very good at.
They'd had some deep completions today. Jalen Hurts had the
fifty two yarder to Devonte Smith. Of course you just
heard Joe talking about the touchdown to Saquon Barkley that
was down the right sideline. Then they had some big
completions in the passing game, but they over the course

(11:24):
of the season had not been a very good passing
team and thirty first in the league when it comes
to the pass.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
So this is just a kind of all in part
of it.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
I think that you add that pressure to the Eagles
that all of a sudden are like, hold on, now,
we're in kind of a bad situation when it comes
to this opportunity. All right, three on three step one
three eighty five, eighty five five six six nine zeros
o ka what common Spirit Health text line. We got
to take another quick break. I'm gonna get some more
of your texts, more of your calls were on till
nine o'clock tonight, waiting moments here of the chargers and commanders.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Commanders just intercepted Justin Herbert.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
It looks like with twenty six seconds remaining, the Seahawks
just marched down the field and sport of touchdown out
of halftime. So they're now leading fourteen to thirteen lines,
still up fourteen to nothing with a two minute warning.
Well right back on the Kia Broncos radio network. The
Broncos actually had six sacks today on Jalen Hurts. And
for every sack made in today's game, the Dan Caplis

(12:18):
Law Firm will make a generous donation to Denver Catholic Charities,
which services more than fifty thousand homeless annually. For more
weights to sack homelesses, go to c C Denver dot org.
Brought to you by Dan Caplis Law, a serious firm
for serious cases. Three h three seven one three eighty
five eighty five or five six six nine zero. That's
our ka Commas Spirit Health text line. We are on
until nine o'clock tonight, so a plenty of opportunity for

(12:39):
you to get involved in the show. A couple of
texts here, read that one you play for the win
on the road. The defense was gaining momentum. That's why
the gamble paid off. The O has the swag and confidence.
I like that text. That's a good point, Dustin and
Colora springs, how much of the national narrative do you
think will be about how Philly lost this game? First,

(13:00):
this is Denver taking it from them, based on how
Philly was generally performing this year.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
I think a lot of it will be that, Dustin.
I think it's a good point.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
National coverage tends to favor teams like that in a
way where it's like, oh, well, this is the choke job,
this is whatever. But if you watch the game, it
was the Broncos taking it to Philly, And there are
some examples, right that a team chokes it away, like
I think when we're talking about I mean, in some respects,

(13:28):
the Chargers went and took it from the Broncos, but
I think that the Broncos losing the Colts game was
a choke job, right, that was choked away. But then
if you watch Pat McAfee, who's obviously a really big
Colts fan. He says, oh, well, the Colts did this,
they won, and they took this from the Broncos. Well, okay,
but I viewed that game as as a Broncos choked
that game away. This one, the Broncos took it to
Philly in the second half. And you know, again, some

(13:50):
people will frame it as the offense. The Philly offense
didn't really do their job in the second half. I
don't think Saquon Barkley got to a single carrier something
thing along was like, I don't think gained a single
rushing gyarden like the third quarter. So I'm sure there's
gonna be people pointing out some things like that. But
once again, the Broncos had to execute. They had to

(14:10):
do this on the road against a team that really
knows how to close games, and the Broncos had to
grow up today and learn how to close themselves. Back
to the phones, we go three on three seven one,
three eighty five, eighty five, and we go to John
North Carolina.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
What's up, John, Roan?

Speaker 9 (14:27):
How you doing friend?

Speaker 1 (14:28):
I'm phenomenal, man, I am wonderful. Thank you Roan.

Speaker 9 (14:33):
You know I'll you know my homer, I always got
a brag on my North Carolina guys. Jay Kwan McMillan
started to comeback. J Kwan McMillan is a beast. He
went to my high school in North Carolina, West Rosieth.
He went to my university, East Carolina University, and he
played for my favorite team, and he bawled out in

(14:54):
the day. It was his sack, solo sack on Jalen
Hurst that started this beat down in Philly today. And
I'm sorry I had to turn off the Elton John
Philadelphia Freedom song while ago, But anyway, we're gonna be
checking that out a little bit tonight. But man, I can't. Man,

(15:14):
we needed this game. Broncos are rocking. Jay Kwa McMillan
played good, North Carolina guy. I mean, like you said
earlier this week on Kaway Ryan, you know we should
be four and oh really but really I would take
three and one, but really dismade up for one of

(15:36):
those at least today. And hey, if you took any
time touchdown or money line, you did good today, which
I did. So love your show. Coming coming to Denver
in a couple of weeks for a week for the
Giants game and just can't wait to hear the rest

(15:56):
of the show. And great win by the Broncos today.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Outstanding safe travels here to Denver when you're on your
way out here, John, Thank you so much for the call.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Thanks for listening, man.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
And yeah, I mean this ended up being one of
those kind of games that you're gonna have to steal one, right.
We said that when they lost to the Colts. We said,
all right, well, this was one you thought you were
going to have, you didn't get, and now you're gonna
have to find a way to win one that you're
not supposed to win.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
And this is definitely one.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
I mean, I think anybody looking at the schedule back
in May, this was a loss for everybody.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
I mean there wasn't.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
I mean, of course you can it's any given Sunday,
but most people when they were going win loss, win
loss back in May, they looked at this as a
bit of a loss.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
And now you said we had had to have this,
you know, I don't know if I felt like that.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
I'm glad that they got it, and I'm glad they
got it in the way that they got it, because
I think that that shows a lot of growth for
the team. But I don't know if it's one that
you had to have. Like for me, they have to
have is next week against the Jets. You can't lose
games that you're supposed to get. Same thing with the
Giants game coming up the Cowboys, Like these are games
you have to have. But the Eagles one was more

(17:01):
of a it would be nice to have. It would
be nice to carry some momentum into.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
The London game.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
And gosh, these guys are going to get to hang
out on the flight now for the next seven hours
celebrating this. They get to celebrate this all out in
London for a week. I mean, not too much celebration obviously,
but that's the part for me is like this is
nice to have. It wasn't a half to have. Next
week is a half to have in my opinion. Back
to the phones and we go to Ryan and Indy.

(17:31):
What's up Ryan?

Speaker 8 (17:33):
Hey, Ryan Man, it's good to talk to you again.
First time obviously calling in the season. I missed speaking
with you, but got an eight year old. We're doing
travel softball, so Sundays are kind of packed now, yeh Man.
Just wanted to say how proud I am of the
Broncos today after that win over the Eagles. You know
what stood out to me obviously was just the defense.
You know, like both Nicks talked about afterwards, is they

(17:54):
kept giving the offense the ball back, and they really
set the tone early getting pressure on birds, forcing kind
of those mistakes change the momentum, you know, given given
next time, I would like to I think the offensive
line to a decent job today. I think running the
ball was tough early, but man the fourth quarter, uh,
just really turning it on uh. And I think I
agree with you at one hundred percent. This was a

(18:15):
statement win. I don't necessarily think it's one that we
had to have, but it's one that we uh that
we got and it's a you know, a check in
that box. And so we gotta then follow it up,
channel the momentum, take that you know, energy and consistency,
and move it into the next week and not drop
one against obviously the Jets next week, because like you said,
those are the games that you gotta you gotta win.
You got to build on something like this, and so

(18:37):
obviously I think that we did take it to Philly
in the fourth quarter, that we deserve this win. I
don't think it was Philly choking it away. And I
just want to say, because you're a superstitious guy. Uh,
watch the game with my daughter and we stayed in
the same spot on the couch the entire fourth quarter.
So I'm seeing that's gonna channel all that uh that
energy for that fourth quarter comeback. So I take a
little bit of credit. But hey, maybe this week during

(18:59):
the show. I love your show, Man, but I just
I'm curious to know if, like you know, it feels
like this year we've been called for a little bit
more PI from the corners. I know we play man,
I know we play aggressive, but I'm just curious that,
like year over year we've been taking more flags, or
if it's just kind of feeling like this season we've
just been called for a lot of pat PI when
it just hasn't felt like that's been called in the past.

(19:19):
So maybe that's something you guys can dig into this
week from a stat's perspective and just kind of riff
on it this week during the show. But I'll let
you go. Man. You know good Win today, good talking
to you, love your show and you're the best.

Speaker 10 (19:30):
Ryan.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
Well, I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Ryan thank you so much for the call, man, and
thank you to you and your daughter for staying in
the same place.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
I am superstitious. I do believe in these kinds of things,
and when.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
The Broncos had lost a couple of games, I certainly
changed up what I was wearing and some of my processes.
I still got the pumpkin spice Lotte, but I, you know,
changed up a couple of things just because I believe
in that. So thank you, Ryan, thanks for the compliments.
And you know, that's a good question. I'll try to
look into that this week about the fits A pass interference,

(20:00):
And you're right, they do play aggressive.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
They play a lot of Man, you're gonna get caught.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Riley Moss specifically is gonna get caught in some of
these moments, and that's just that's part of playing the game,
and that's part of being in this defense. You're gonna
be targeting passer Tan's on the other side. That's just
what it is. So it's a good question. I'll see
if I can get some information for you on that.
Back to the phones in Nancy for Collins is up
next year on Broncos React.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
What's up? Nancy?

Speaker 11 (20:25):
Hello, Hello, What a game?

Speaker 7 (20:27):
What a game, That's all I gotta say. Can you
believe it? I would have to work today, and when
I looked at my score when I checked out at lunch,
the Broncos verse three to seventeen. By the time I
walked out to my car, was ten to seventeen. By
the time I finished my lunch, we were a fight.

(20:49):
They did the two point conversion. Oh my gosh, I
bet the people in the parkings. I thought I was crazy,
and then I checked again and then we won. It
was so it just makes me so excited.

Speaker 12 (21:02):
Me and my daughter.

Speaker 7 (21:03):
She's flying into town. We have Week sixteen tickets against Jacksonville,
and I've been saying from day one, we are going
to the super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
I love it, Nancy, love the energy. Great call. Hope
you had a great lunch too. It was, yeah, it was.
It was one where if you checked in early and
you saw seventeen to three in Philadelphia, you probably weren't
feeling pretty good about the Broncos.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Chances there they gonna understand that.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
I'd say back here, I wasn't wasn't feeling particularly thrilled
about where they were at either. But that's why you
gotta play all four quarters, as the Broncos have found
out the hard way early in this season, where they
controlled well at least into the third quarter into the
fourth quarter. Remember they didn't trail in the fourth quarter

(21:54):
versus the Chargers or the Colts. So but again, you
got to play all sixty minutes and certainly they did not.

Speaker 8 (22:02):
Well.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Profit, You're up next year on Broncos react. What's a profit?

Speaker 3 (22:05):
Wow?

Speaker 10 (22:05):
Wow? Wow, Ryan, what a great day for Bronco country. Uh,
it's amazing. You were talking about superstition. I run out
the heavy artillery the last two weeks, and that's my
Peyton Manning jersey. I was wearing other Broncos stuff the
other games and they won both nice. So yeah, I
think I'm wearing this jersey for I usually. I don't

(22:25):
know why I took a few. It was just in
the closet, but Peyton Manning jersey. Broncos came through. I mean,
you know, we were talking last week about, you know,
winning a game that you not supposed to win because
of the two losses, and and was just outstanding. I
was a little nervous, but I still had faith that

(22:48):
they could pull it off. When they're down by two touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
I me.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
You know, listen, I thought they hung in there.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
It was one of those moments where, in many ways,
it felt like the Eels were letting the Broncos hang around, right.
It didn't seem like the Eagles were putting away the
Broncos like you think they should or could have. After
the Saquon Barkley touchdown, you're like, all right, well, here's
where the Eagles kind of lean on the run game
and they find a way.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
But I guess Nate Tice put this out. He said.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
The Eagles offense ran twenty four plays in the second half,
only one was a designed run. That blows my mind,
absolutely blows my mind for who the Eagles have been,
especially once they added Saquon Barkley. There's just something not
quite clicking with that offense. Yeah, they got some deep
plays and Devonte Smith was very productive when over one
hundred yards, and Saquon had the long touchdown. But it

(23:39):
wasn't the most efficient day out there for their team.
I mean, Saquon Barkley six carries for thirty yards. If
I have told you that going into the game, profit
you probably take that, wouldn't you.

Speaker 10 (23:50):
Oh yeah, I would think maybe it would have been easier.
I mean, the only like we maybe got a break
there near the end. We got a bad break, look
like we should have been at least getting field goal
before half and they picked up the flag. So I
mean we overcame a lot today. And again, you know,
I'm sticking with with a lot more confidence. Might you know,
eleven wins this year and a playoff win at least

(24:13):
a playoff win this year, and I'm gonna see if
it happens. I think we can do it, you know,
I mean we beat the champs, I mean, Eagles Broncos
would be tell me that wouldn'd be great. I mean,
we'd spend ten years and you know, I think we're
going to get back soon. I don't think it's out
of the roma possibility this year. And I know Sean

(24:33):
Payton got a lot of criticism for talking super Bowl
and all that, but I mean, I would rather have
a coach that says that. And I've been I haven't
always been, you know, on Sean Payton's side and been critical,
but whether you should have said it or not, I'd
rather have a coach say that and well, we'll just
see what happens, or you know what I mean like,

(24:54):
I mean that, I mean it's been I mean that
is the goal. I mean you can't argue with whether
whether the question isn't you know, the only question is
whether Sean Bageo has said it. But I mean that
is the goal, So I don't have a problem with it.
That gives us motivation to win a game like this,
and then now you hope San Diego can lose, and
I really think I'm gonna I haven't. I haven't given

(25:15):
any scores. I think I think the Jets are in
for a bad Jet back. I'm I'm going I'm going
thirty four to thirteen. Bronco. I think they're I think
they need to have another blowout. I think it needs
to be something like San Cincinnati game. I think I
think the Broncos have a good shot at not making
us nervous to the last play in the next game.
This game, I mean literally three games final.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Play, I mean incredible. All right, thank you for the call.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Profit Let's pause ten seconds for station identification. You're listening
to the Broncos react on the Kaway Broncos radio network feed.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
JK.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
They definitely did that today. Twenty carries for seventy nine yards.
Interesting to see. I'll have to go look into it
to see how many of those came in the second
half of twenty carries for seventy nine yards, averaging four
per carry, and did end up getting a touchdown in
the game.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
But more than anything is is you found a.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
Bell cow back, a guy that can be that for
you and that that's been the most impressive thing is
that when you need to lean on the game the run,
when you need to have it.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
He's been unbelievable for this team.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
That's our fast stat presented by Exfinity introducing the five
year Price Guarantee one Internet Price five years Guaranteed.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
Welcome back to Broncos React.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
I'm Ryan Members's life from the Smashburger Sports Desk with
the new FOURT ninety nine menu featuring the single All
American Burger, single De Luxe Burger, and New Americana Big Dog.
We got full lines. So three oh three seven one,
three eighty five eighty five. If you're on hold, I'll
get to you and as soon as you hear somebody leave,
give us a call.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Stacy.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
You're up next year on Broncos React. What's up, Stacy? Hello, Stacy.
Sorry one second, there we go.

Speaker 12 (26:51):
Hi Stacy, Hi Ryan, how are you.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
I'm doing great. I'm doing great. Thanks for holding on.

Speaker 13 (26:56):
Yeah, sure, once again. Love listening to you. Calls you
week on the way home when I was driving today.
It's great because I'm just at homelike bloating.

Speaker 11 (27:05):
So two things.

Speaker 13 (27:06):
I am extraordinarily superstitious.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
And I have always been.

Speaker 13 (27:10):
It's always been in the socks, Like I have certain
socks that I just want to while I'm not wearing
on game day.

Speaker 12 (27:15):
But I want to tell you, so last week I
saw Cortland and Bo's wives had on the Stepbrothers T
shirts underneath their gear their apparel, and I don't know
if you see those?

Speaker 13 (27:28):
Have you seen that?

Speaker 6 (27:29):
Yah?

Speaker 13 (27:29):
I did seem okay, So I ordered one this week
because I was like, all right, if they're wearing it.
And last week was a beautiful win. It wasn't just
you know it was, it was solid. So today I'm
wearing my stepbrother's T shirt. I am going to ask
for whose country to get on board with the Stepbrothers
because I'm thinking this particular image has some pretty good
mojo right now, So go stepbrother And the other thing

(27:55):
is when I heard the caller ask about like the
last wind that was comparable to this game, and you
mentioned the Monday night Buffalo game. I was actually there
and I had I was. Buffalo fans were wonderful, they
were really kind. I was just surrounded until we pulled
that off, and then I wore a lot of beer

(28:16):
and it was totally worth it. So I when things
get really like playoff games, game day overalls, you know
the stripes that are really wonderful. I was in the
game day overalls in Buffalo and now going forward step
Brothers under Jersey or whatever else.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
So THEO Stepbrothers, I love it.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Yeah, the socks thing that doesn't been mine's more the
hoodie I'm wearing or flannel, right. I Mean that's usually
my superstitious kind of deal, but it's kind of anything
for everybody. We had Ryan call in and he sat
in the same place on this couch with his daughter
as they watched the game. I mean, listen, it's only
weird if it doesn't work right right.

Speaker 13 (28:53):
And so far the Stepbrothers A and else, so.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
Let's do it.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
Dig it awesome, Stacy, thank you so much for the call.
Really appreciate that. Three seven one, three, eighty five, eighty five.
Couple of texts here. Ryan got to give credits to Sean.
He has a tendency to abandon the run when things
go south. He didn't do that today. State painted with
the ground game and it willed them back into the game.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
I'm with you on that.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
People can question Sean Payton all they want. He calls
a fantastic game in the play calls from the first
half set up a great play calling in the second half.
He is phenomenal and he has balls of steel. That's
good this one. Thank you for all your superstitious service.
That's what we can do.

Speaker 6 (29:31):
You know.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
I think we collectively as Broncos country do our best
with that. Back to the phones we go, and Nick,
you're up next year on Broncos reaction from Cali.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Nick?

Speaker 8 (29:42):
Hey?

Speaker 14 (29:42):
How you doing Ryan?

Speaker 1 (29:43):
I'm doing great, man, Of course we're doing great.

Speaker 4 (29:47):
Man.

Speaker 14 (29:47):
I'm a little superstitious too.

Speaker 6 (29:49):
Nice.

Speaker 14 (29:50):
I quotters one three three, I what's sitting on the
couch with my dog? And then he started getting wild,
so I put him up, and I was standing up
for the rest the time, and I couldn't sit back now,
so I might have to buy me one of them
Boneck Courtland Sutton T shirts. I just got in the
only Winners get Wings D T shirt and the Pastor

(30:11):
Tan Best and the World t shirts from our boy,
Mario Vitanzi. Shout out, Mario, real quick man. I can't
tell you how excited I am to be a freaking
Broncos fan right now. The balls on Sean Pagon to
go for two. Unbelievable. These guys have a great trip

(30:36):
to London. Now that plane ride's going to be awesome.
These boys are going to be They believe they can
play with anybody in the freaking National Football League and
this is exactly what we're looking for. It's coming together.
Everybody in Broncos country, Slow down, baby, It's coming together.

Speaker 6 (30:53):
Thanks Rank perfect call.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
Appreciate that. Yeah, the shirt is pretty awesome. The Stepbrother's
shirt with Bonex and Corland Sutton is flawless.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
I'm with you on that. Yeah it is. I mean,
this is one of those wins. Like I said, it
could propel the team.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
I mean, we don't really know, and sometimes these are
contextualized after the fact. We get to the end of
the season and we get a chance from a big
picture to look back and say, wow, that was a
really big win, and look at it ended up catapulting
in the team. You know, just as well, we could
say sometimes a gut wrenching loss can send a team,
especially one that doesn't have the kind of leadership of

(31:28):
the Broncos have, into a tailspin. And we wondered that
after the Chargers game, now you had the Bengals on
the other side, and the Bengals are obviously in a
bad way, who are right now trailing twenty one to
three to the Lions. By the way, the Commanders have
that taken a seventeen to ten lead over the Chargers
in Los Angeles. Something to watch because the Raiders lost today,

(31:49):
and oh, I don't know, I don't think the Jacksonville
Jaguars Chiefs game is a GIMMEI for the Chiefs by
any means. That's in Jacksonville tomorrow night. So all the
Broncos could make some serious headway here this weekend. The
Raiders already lost, so just kind of keeping you guys
updated all that. But that's where this win could could

(32:10):
mean a lot for the team, just as far as
that experience goes in finding ways to close things out
and there's an inherent belief in good teams. You know,
we've said for years that good teams find a way
to win games and bad teams find a way to
lose games.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
Right, That's kind of a pretty expected adage.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
And so for the Broncos who want to be a
good team, who believe they are a good team, they
found a way to win this game. They lost the
other two, and so people would say, well, you're not
a good team, so you found a way to lose.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
Over the course of the season, we see if.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
That adage plays out and it is as effective in
describing who you are. Are the Broncos the team that
collapsed against the Colts and the Chargers, or are they
the team that found a way to win today against
the Philadelphia Eagles. Time will tell you don't have as
tough of a matchup. You still have to play them
tough because they're gonna be desperate out there in London,

(33:04):
as I mentioned before with the Jets who haven't won
a game yet.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
But you've got to find a way.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
To win that game, close that game out and not
make it, as we had a caller reference earlier, not
make it a stressful fourth quarter, just like the Cincinnati
Bengals game. That that is another sign of a good team,
that you win the games you're supposed to win, and
you win them convincingly. That's what's on the line here,
all right, three oh three seven one three eighty five
to eighty five. Back to the phones we go, and

(33:29):
Andy in South Carolina's up next year on Broncos reac
what's up?

Speaker 1 (33:33):
Andy?

Speaker 9 (33:34):
What's up?

Speaker 11 (33:34):
Man?

Speaker 15 (33:34):
Broncos go everywhere all over the country. Yep, look at
the representation you got on the show.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
It's incredible.

Speaker 15 (33:40):
It's incredible that last up in California sounded like Tobey
maguire Spider Man. By the way, I don't have to pick.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
Up on that.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
It might have been. And I'm just kidding. I don't know.

Speaker 15 (33:47):
Maybe listen, I'm I'm gonna be the guy. I'm gonna
call it. We'll say the positives first, we might go
say which method here? But I have a concern, Okay,
I think he needs to get addressed. So obviously all
the positives are there. Gritty when it was awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome.
We do more with three guys rushing the line than
some teams do with five. They've just been the defense

(34:08):
is just kept stepping up. But last week I looked
up the stack because I was trying to check him, like,
wait a minute, we spent the first round draft pick
on today Barren and I never see him on the field.
And I looked up the amount of snaps that he's
played so far in comparison to the total snaps, it's
been less than twenty percent before today's game. I don't

(34:30):
know what the stats will be when it comes out
after today, but the one piece, it's obviously a gaping hole.
It's unfortunate because I love him, but Riley Moss a problem,
like he's lost a step and they're just burned him.
I knew Devontae Smith is gonna go off today because
you're gonna pick on somebody like that, because you know,
and when you got the other side locked up, that's
where you're gonna go naturally.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
But okay, very quickly here, Andy and any any really
quick with with it, And I understand your point.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
I don't know about lost the step.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
I do think he's gonna be targeted a lot, But
Davante Smith is is a one on a lot of teams, right,
so whether he's gonna be matched up against a J
Brown or Devonte Smith. That's going to be a tough challenge,
just like it was last year when he's facing off
at T Higgins. T Higgins considered considered a one on
many teams. You're not gonna see that this week against
the Jets. You're not gonna see that typically against many

(35:16):
teams where they have two number ones on the outside.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
It's it's just an acknowledgement.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
I'm not saying that that he couldn't play better or
he shouldn't play better. He definitely should and can play better.
I don't know about lost his step, but I will
say credit today.

Speaker 15 (35:30):
But I mean you can go back to the Chargers game,
and he got burnt pretty bad in the Charges game too,
and they didn't have two clear guys. Mcclaucky's a good player.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
What are you talking about, man, Keenan Allen Keenan Allen's
playing out of his mind right now.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
So it is Quintin Johnston. What are you talking about?

Speaker 15 (35:43):
So you have no concerns about Riley.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
Muss I didn't say that. I did say.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
I just said I didn't think he's lost a step,
But I don't I don't think that I don't.

Speaker 15 (35:50):
Look at it in that language. I'm trying to surrender
that that's fine. But the point is, I'm like, why
do we draft a first round pick and spend what
we spent on that pick for a guy it's playing
twenty five percent of the time. That's what I'm like,
What that's like a very weird choice. Now we lucked out,
We're gonna readbound. We're fine. Like the Benito choice obviously
two years ago is a gold mine. So we've gotten

(36:11):
good at the position and we've got a great decordinator
that does good skiming. But I'm like, I don't understand
what's going on with this Darren situation.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
That's all okay, fair enough, Andy, and listen, I'll say
for Jade Baron, who had a really nice PBu today,
there's an ability here for the Broncos to bring him along,
I say, slowly, but bring him along at a pace
that they feel good about and that maybe he feels
good about. You don't have to force him out there
and potentially risk something there when it comes to his

(36:41):
confidence or otherwise.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
And some Broncos fans that's not going to be good enough.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
And maybe, and I'm not saying you, and I'm saying
I've seen this take before for media here, locally or otherwise.
They say, why did you draft a cornerback in the
first round if he's not going to play well. He
is playing, but they believe in the long term vision
of what he can do. As far as a chess
piece for this defense. He wasn't brought in to play
on the outside. He was brought in to play nickel.

(37:07):
He was brought in to be a joker on defense,
if you will, somebody that they can line up all
over the field and they could send him on blitzes.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
He's great in coverage, he's a great tackler.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
He played the star position, which is, you know, the
joker position basically in college at Texas. So he's a
jack of all guy. He's a guy that you could
move around and put in position to make plays on
the field.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
So he can play outside.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
I don't think that he was brought in here to
play that predominantly. Again, that might not be good enough
for some Broncos fans. And not saying you, Andy, just
saying for some out there, I am not panicking about
Riley Moss. There's gonna be plenty of situations over the
course of the year where I think he's going to
come up with game clinching plays and there's going to

(37:52):
be a lot of people that have jumped off the
bandwagon of Riley Moss that are gonna immediately ask to
come back on.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
That's my prediction on that.

Speaker 2 (38:01):
But when you get to a point in the season
and you're five games in and there are some things
on the defense we talked about the inside linebackers and
coverage that that comes up as a concern. Your cornerback
opposite Patsertan is always going to be a discussion point
because of what Pat is and what he does. And
I you know, I don't know if you want to

(38:22):
put John ay Barron out there on an island just yet,
at least the Broncos defense, don't. I mean, Vince, if
that's Joseph and Sean Payton will put it this way.
Wanted to put him out there on an island opposite
Patzertan had already have happened. They like Riley Moss, they
think that he's going to be good for this team
long term, and I agree with him. Mike and Kad's

(38:43):
city he's up next to on Broncos react, what's up.

Speaker 16 (38:45):
Mike, Oh, thank you for having me Ryan, Yes, sir,
and I had four points. I'd just like to ruin
them off, you know, quick, and get your input. It
seemed that communication between bo and Sean Payton has improved.
I think there may be some carryover from last year
being bose first year and the first time with Sean
Payton that through communication was non point. But it really

(39:07):
seemed today that the communication between the two was so
much better. And what are your thoughts on that?

Speaker 1 (39:14):
Well, I mean, i'd say so.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
I mean again, you know, if you lost this game,
I think that that would be coming into question. I
had to kind of look back on the game, but
that doesn't seem like something that I thought at any
point where I was like, oh boy, they're really missing
each other.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
There was there was a delay a game that did.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
Happen that you know, you can't have those moments, especially
when you're gonna play against good teams and try to
win close games. But overall, I'd say it was a
pretty good game for the office, especially in the second half.

Speaker 16 (39:44):
Okay, and there are second half adjustments. It seems like
every game this year, you know, regardless of what happens
in the first half, it is that second half adjustments
it's really just either pull us back in the game
or almost give us the win. And I think today
really showed that the second half adjustments is what did
it for us. When it came to defense and your
thoughts on that.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
Yes, they made they made some nice adjustments. I mean
simultaneously for whatever reason that the Eagles really didn't go
to the run game very much. And maybe it's because
of some of the noise that there were receivers have
been making between AJ Brown and DeVante Smith. Maybe Smith
a little bit less, but AJ Brown very public about
not the passing game not being as good as it

(40:26):
as he thinks it should be or could be. So
maybe maybe they had something to do with it. They
they felt like that was an exploit some exploitable matchups
and they didn't want to run Saquon Barkley into the
teeth of the defense. I don't know, but there was
a combination there. As I mentioned, only one rushing attempt
designed rushing attempt in the second half, which is startling
when you're thinking about who the Philadelphia Eagles have been

(40:47):
their identity.

Speaker 16 (40:48):
Yeah, basically, yeah, we know that they got Saque.

Speaker 6 (40:51):
I agree.

Speaker 16 (40:52):
The third thing is the pre snat penalty. It seemed
like we really got and maybe that has to do
with communication because these past couple of games, the penalties
are just incredible and today they really put that to
a minimum. And your thoughts on the prest penalties.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
Yeah, I'd say so. I mean I had to go back.
Penalties weren't great for the Broncos. I mean, you had
twelve FO one hundred and twenty one today, so I
don't know how many of those are are presaps.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
So that's that.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
I mean, you just can't. You can't win games many
times having penalties like that. And it was a very
heavily penalized game, I mean twenty one total penalties handed out. Well,
the one thing that really jumped out here as far
as the Broncos as far as the reason why they
won this game, is they had almost thirty five minutes
of time and possession and that compared to what the
Eagles typically are is they're a team that is number

(41:41):
seven in the league with thirty one minutes and they
only had they had what was it, twenty five minutes
of time of possession, So yeah, impressive stuff.

Speaker 4 (41:50):
There.

Speaker 16 (41:51):
Okay, And last, the last thing, Ryan is the it
seems like we're still hindered by big play. Well, we'll
have a team, it'll be third and twenty five, third
and long, and it almost seems like the other team
will want to just get the ball up close, you know,
get a pun off, and then we get burned for
a long big plays. I can almost feel it coming,

(42:13):
and today it happened a couple of times. Your thoughts
about giving up the big play for the worst time.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
Ever, Yeah, that's that's a bit of a frustration. Thanks
for the call.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
Appreciate it. Yeah, it did feel like there were a
couple of moments there. But then at the same time
that the Broncos buckled down and there were a couple
of backbreaking penalties that got some big plays called back
against the Eagles, right, And we sort of talked about
that a little bit. There was a there was a
deep completion there to Devonte Smith late in the game,

(42:44):
and that was on Riley Moss. So to Andy's point
into some of the Texters that are coming to Andy's
defense here on our KWA Commas Spirit Health text line,
I like the debate. I'm not I'm not trying to
be dismissive. I just don't agree that we're at a
position where Riley Moss absolutely shouldn't be playing or should
be starting.

Speaker 1 (43:00):
I think that you still roll that along.

Speaker 2 (43:02):
We did have a text here somebody saying, no, you
do not absolutely have to bring a first round pick
along slowly, especially when you have gaping holes like inside linebacker,
a tight end.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
It's a bad move. Well, you have the I guess
you have the ability to do that.

Speaker 2 (43:16):
You don't have to do it that way, but you
have the ability because of your depth. And that was
part of the reason of adding John A.

Speaker 1 (43:23):
Barron where you did.

Speaker 2 (43:24):
It's a position that you want to have a lot
of depth that so I don't want I don't want
to quibble on whether you should or shouldn't do something.
This is something they have the ability to do and
they're going to take it, and so they feel as
though their best option is still Riley Moss on the
outside and said I'm inclined to agree with him under
the circumstances because I think he's had more good moments

(43:45):
than bad.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
But we can just we can disagree.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
We can debate that three h three seven one three
eighty five eighty five five six six nine zero. Uh
to take one more call and then we have to
take a quick break. Carry, You're up next year on
Broncos react.

Speaker 1 (43:58):
What's up?

Speaker 11 (43:58):
Carry? Hey, I'm so happy we beat the world champion
Philadelphia Eagles. And about Randy Moss gives him time to
study the playbook. And the number four is to cut
back on the penalties that would make the years go

(44:23):
really smooth for Rollig Moss. And I'm very serious about
all this. And I just want you to know I'm
gonna be at the Broncos Giants game coming up soon. Nice,
I have a blessed day.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
Thank you appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (44:39):
Yeah, that should be a fun game when they come
back to town from London.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
Hopefully they're up four to two at that point.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
All right, three all three seven one three eighty five
eighty five five six six nine zeros or Kae Comma
Spirit Health text line. The UH looks like Washington's gonna
have to settle for a field goal after a drop touchdown.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
The lines are up twenty eight to three.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
Now over the Bengals, and it'll be about to be
twenty to ten for Washington Buccaneers holding on to a
twenty eight twenty one lead over the Seahawks, but they're
driving Cardinal's up twenty one to six. Kyler Murray left
this game. I believe it's with a foot injury. So
we're we'll keep monitoring that, but we'll let you know
if anything happens with Kyler Murray. We'll keep you track

(45:20):
on the rest of the games. We'll get to an
NFL scoreboard here in just a little bit. Again, give
us call three A, three seven, three eighty five, three
three seven, three eighty five eighty five or five six
six nine zero. Will be right back on the kay
Broncos radio network. So people continue to react to this. Also,
we have a lot of texts rolling in here.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
I like this. I always kind of chuckle when I
get text like this.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
Riley Moss should not even be playing in the National
Football League. Wow, all right, here we go, football expert.
I love that every guy he covers is faster than him.
He gets at least one pass interference call every game,
and he's just terrible. There are seven billion people on
this planet. Can you seriously tell me that Riley Moss
is one of the sixty four best cornerbacks on this planet?

Speaker 1 (46:04):
No, he's not.

Speaker 2 (46:06):
Well, obviously you as a football connoisseur an expert in
such a thing, first of all, I'd say he is
because he is. He is one of the best sixty four,
because he's out there playing in the National Football League
as one of the top sixty four. So whatever you
want to quibble about, you're just factually incorrect. Now, you,

(46:31):
as with the eye test, and your clear knowledge of
the game, far exceeds almost anybody else, including Sean Payton
and Vance Joseph of what they do clearly. And I'll
pass along your phone number for them just so that
they have a chance to pick your brain when it
comes to how they should run their team, because obviously, you,

(46:54):
as the expert here, knows so much more then people
that have been doing this their entire life.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
But thank you, no, no again.

Speaker 2 (47:05):
Talent reveals itself sometimes in unique ways, and I'm looking
forward to you getting out there and running opposite passer
Tan at some point too. So now I'm going to
pass along this phone number so that these guys have
a chance to see what real talent looks like. So
thank goodness for you and your text. I don't know

(47:30):
what we would have done for the next several hours
without it.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
Come on, people do better.

Speaker 2 (47:41):
Back to the phone is three oh three seven one
three eighty five eighty five, Mike, Kansas City.

Speaker 1 (47:45):
Right next, you're on Broncos React.

Speaker 2 (47:46):
What's up, Mike? Hello, Mike, Mike you there. M'm sorry man,
you hung.

Speaker 1 (47:57):
On for a while too. I feel better about that. Matt,
you're up next to Broncos reequis on Matt.

Speaker 6 (48:03):
Brian You're hilarious.

Speaker 17 (48:04):
By the way, thanks for that. That made my heart happy.
On what you just did to that text, Hey, this win?
Does it? Does it substitute? And would you traded for
the two losses that happened between Indy and and San Diego?
I think in the grand scheme of things, the right
answer right now is yes. Maybe down the line you're

(48:25):
regretting too AFC losses when it comes to playoff positioning.
But in the grand scheme of things, if we look
two months from now, and this is a turning point
in this season for Denver when they, you know, lost
two walkoff games a couple of weeks ago, but then
you win in this fashionate comeback in the fourth quarter,
and this team that they know that they can win
in those kinds of situations when they haven't before.

Speaker 6 (48:45):
That's what the Eagles have.

Speaker 5 (48:46):
Done all year.

Speaker 17 (48:46):
They're kind of like the Chiefs of last year. Man,
what this does for a team? Let's just find out, Man,
this was a really awesome win. Evan Ingram was a
freaking phenomenal piece of the offense today that we all
kind of hoped you would. He's such a weapon when
he's healthy and utilized best. And bo really grew today
in the fourth quarters. So a lot of good takeaways.
I definitely try today's winning for those two losses against

(49:09):
India and and the Chargers. So yeah, obviously those two
losses sting, but this win says so much sweeter. So
happy Sunday, Happy Broncos win, and Ryan, thanks for all
you do.

Speaker 1 (49:19):
Yeah, I appreciate the call.

Speaker 2 (49:20):
And yeah, I mean in retrospect, right, I mean oftentimes
that these conversations are have to be in that way.

Speaker 1 (49:26):
Yeah, I think I would take that.

Speaker 2 (49:27):
I would think I would take this Eagles win, even
though it's not an AFC win. You'd say probably the
AFC games against the Chargers and the Colts matter more
in the playoff math, but as far as quality wins,
signature wins this.

Speaker 1 (49:42):
This beats both of those And even though the Colts.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
Look like a good team and I think the Chargers
are ultimately a pretty good team, this is a much
bigger game. I mean, you're talking about inning a winning
streak for the Eagles, You're talking about those defending Super
Bowl champions and and you're here in this entire week,
you're seeing everybody pick against you in a lot of ways.
And we said this on k Sports that you're playing
with playing pretty free in this game. The pressure, in

(50:07):
my opinion, was all on the Eagles, but they're used
to it. Obviously, they know how to close and they've
done that very successfully. But yeah, in retrospect, I mean,
I think we take a look at this and say, no,
I'm happy with where they're at. You didn't want the
gut wrenching losses to the Colts and the Chargers, and
we do hope that when you get to December those
losses aren't something that we're coming back to and saying.

Speaker 1 (50:29):
Boy man, losing that game.

Speaker 2 (50:31):
Now you have to find in a way to win
one more than the Colts do or else you're gonna
get bounced out of the wild card.

Speaker 1 (50:38):
Hopefully that's not the case.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
But because you won this game, you're thinking in terms
of what it can mean for the rest of the
season and how it can compel you.

Speaker 1 (50:46):
That that's for me what I'm resting on.

Speaker 2 (50:48):
Back to the phones we go and Trevor in Cheyenne's
on the hold.

Speaker 1 (50:53):
Thank you, Trevor, Kali.

Speaker 18 (50:55):
How are you doing up there?

Speaker 1 (50:56):
I'm doing fantastic. How are you, sir?

Speaker 3 (50:58):
Good?

Speaker 18 (50:59):
Good, great win. I really enjoyed your your your take
on Riley Moss there too. The dumers are getting a
little much. Hey, I got to two things we might
nitpick a little bit though for you here, Uh the
first one delay at games every single week?

Speaker 5 (51:13):
What do you think of that?

Speaker 1 (51:14):
That's a problem.

Speaker 2 (51:15):
It's I mean, it's a it's a big problem, and
it's something that you'd say by week five you'd really
like to not be an issue, but it's it's still there.
So I'm with you on now, that's that's something that
stands out as an.

Speaker 1 (51:28):
Issue for sure.

Speaker 18 (51:29):
Yeah, that one. No one's getting painful when the offensive
line fails. It really seems to start at the center.
I'm thinking Wattenberg might be a week link there.

Speaker 2 (51:39):
It does feel like and I gotta go, I want
to go look at it. I mean, last week obviously
had the several penalties that was an issue. But I'd
say for when the Broncos get to the offseason and
they're they're staring at free agency and more specifically the draft,
it feels like interior offensive line is going to be
a priority, doesn't it.

Speaker 18 (51:58):
Couldn't agree more, couldn't agree more. Hey, thanks for taking
my call.

Speaker 2 (52:01):
Yeah anytime, man, Thanks for the call, appreciate it. Back
to the phones we go, and Brian, you're up next
here on Broncos React with Brian Edwards. What's up, Brian,
I'm doing fantastic in yourself good.

Speaker 19 (52:15):
I have an ever growing concern with the lack of
production every time we start the game. It seems like
it's such an appil battle with Jacob many you know
have won.

Speaker 2 (52:27):
But yeah, Brian, I'm sorry, it's it's a tough connection.
Maybe try calling back here in just a little bit.
Uh sorry, it was only getting like every other word
and unfortunately, uh, I couldn't couldn't keep you there. But
I think you were talking about some other production with
maybe the running game early on with JK.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
Dobbins. Once again, you give his call back. I'll get
you back on note.

Speaker 2 (52:47):
But yeah, that's something that it feels like there's not
as much commitment to it as you probably could or
should see early in the game. So if that's kind
of your point, I'm I'm with you. I'd like to
I'd like to see a little more commit to that.
Tony in San Luis Valley.

Speaker 1 (53:03):
What's up, Tony?

Speaker 11 (53:07):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (53:07):
Actually, I'm taking the back. I got the wrong one, Tony.
You there, Yes, I'm here, all right, that was my fault.
Sorry about that.

Speaker 4 (53:14):
Okay, can you hear me now?

Speaker 1 (53:15):
I got you?

Speaker 4 (53:17):
Okay. Well, I've listened to your program after the game
and you had your caller call in saying that Riley
Moss shouldn't even be in the league. I wouldn't go
that far. But every time I look at the TV
and I see an opposing receiver catching the ball, there

(53:38):
you see Riley Moss running to try to catch up
with him because he's already been beat.

Speaker 2 (53:44):
Well, so yeah, you say things like every time like
that's just that's just not factually correct, Tony, Right. I
mean we say every time you look at the TV,
you see him trying to catch up. In fact, I
think he's in phase more often than he's not. To
be more specific about it, but you know, I understand,
I kind of see where you're going with this, but
go ahead.

Speaker 4 (54:04):
Oh well, I just wanted to say that. And then
in addition to that, your reaction to what that caller said,
your cockiness really showed out and you shouldn't be doing that.

Speaker 1 (54:20):
Mmm. Oh yeah, what should I be doing?

Speaker 4 (54:22):
Is this? Is this a program to show for you,
to show the world that you're so much smarter and
so much better than everybody else.

Speaker 9 (54:31):
No.

Speaker 1 (54:31):
In fact, my reaction, hold on a second, I won't
let you go.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
But my reaction was more because the texture had more
of that attitude. The texture wasn't a caller. The texture
had more of the attitude of I know best. This
guy shouldn't be playing in the league, which is a
farcical point to be made in the first place, and
just obnoxiously arrogant and tony. If you don't agree with that,
then that's more about you than it is about me.

Speaker 6 (54:57):
Well, so you're.

Speaker 4 (54:58):
Saying that because of their arrogance, you have to show
your arrogance.

Speaker 1 (55:02):
Listen, man, it's sports talk radio. We're just having some fun,
aren't we.

Speaker 20 (55:07):
Well, well, if you called a shit to somebody whoa
and there you go, see and then you had to
curse Tony. We're having a good debate, we're having a
good discussion, and then you had to get run.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
Don't ever call back in, Tony. Don't need that, especially
if you're going to curse on the air.

Speaker 8 (55:25):
Listen.

Speaker 2 (55:26):
We can disagree on Riley Moss. I said we'd have debates.
We can have discussion. You don't have to love Riley
Moss and what he represents, but you're not going to
tell me that a he is not one of a
top cornerback in the league or doesn't deserve to be
in the league or starting or playing.

Speaker 1 (55:44):
I mean, because he is. He actually is playing.

Speaker 2 (55:49):
And I just you know, people texting in from their
couch or Tony calling in from San Luis Valley.

Speaker 1 (55:57):
Cursing on the air not gonna work for me.

Speaker 2 (56:03):
And I'm only matching the obnoxiousness of the texture. And
maybe you're right I should take the high road. I
could take the high most of the time. I do
take the high road. Sometimes certain texts get under my skin,
and that one got under my skin.

Speaker 1 (56:16):
So Tony, appreciate whatever that was.

Speaker 2 (56:21):
And uh, you know, take your lecturing, condescending, nonsensical attitude.

Speaker 1 (56:25):
Out of here. We're good, Liam, You're up next to
Broncos react. What's up? Liam?

Speaker 6 (56:32):
Hey? Thanks, Rian, appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (56:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (56:34):
I just got a few things. I mean, first and foremost,
I gotta say I knew the Broncos were going to
win this football game when I saw them convert that
two point play.

Speaker 2 (56:45):
Yeah, it did feel that way, didn't it. Momentum wise,
it felt like it looked.

Speaker 6 (56:49):
Like it looked like it kind of looked like Jalen
hurt Stock same thing looking at his body language on
the sideline. But whatever, that's all interpreted anyhow, The thing
with Riley Moss is for me, he doesn't look the
same as he did prior to the to his injury. Now,

(57:11):
is that a reason to take him out and place
him with a with a rookie, I don't think so.
I think the rookie's got to prove himself in several
other ways before you know there should be any kind
of switch. And also, John A. Barron was primarily a
cornerback in college and it was a very good one.

(57:32):
So I mean, he's breathing down Riley's neck.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
So he played he played. He'd been a lot more
nickel than he did outside, but he played all of
the place.

Speaker 6 (57:41):
No, if you look it up, it says that he
was primarily a cornerback in college.

Speaker 1 (57:46):
He played the star position, he played, he played all
over the place.

Speaker 6 (57:49):
Right, he played slot, he played, but it says it
says primarily cornerback whenever.

Speaker 3 (57:54):
You look it up.

Speaker 6 (57:55):
Okay, but that's beside the point. There's the one, one
last question I want to make before we you know
in this call is did you watch the game?

Speaker 2 (58:08):
Did I watch the game that I'm paid to cover?
And are you for real with that question?

Speaker 4 (58:14):
Lamb?

Speaker 6 (58:14):
But no, what I'm leading to something here?

Speaker 1 (58:17):
Okay, Yes I watched the game.

Speaker 6 (58:19):
Did you hear Romo's commentary?

Speaker 2 (58:22):
No, I was listening to our call. Was watching it
on you while listening to our call?

Speaker 6 (58:27):
So I have a question for CBS Sports. Okay, does
Tony Romo hate the Broncos or does he just love
the Eagles?

Speaker 1 (58:36):
Probably?

Speaker 2 (58:37):
I mean sometimes these analysts love the front runner teams,
and I mean it's it's easy. It's like the Chiefs coverage, right,
it tends to be very slanted towards the Chiefs because
they just like the.

Speaker 6 (58:46):
Story, he was talking about all the ways that the
Broncos could lose, and whenever the Philadelphia got the ball,
he was talking about all the ways that they could win.
So it just got sick of it. A lot of
crab for Tony list. So that's all I am. This
is a great game. I have a lot of faith

(59:07):
and Dan Peyton. I think that he's one of the
greatest coaches in the league. That was an awesome, masterful
decision on the two point conversion.

Speaker 2 (59:19):
I agree, Liam, Thanks for the call, spicy callers and
Texters tonight. It's good stuff. We're on till nine o'clock.
It's probably lowered my heart rate a little bit. All right,
We're going to take a quick break and we'll come back.
Feel free to call in though, and if you want
to talk trash like Tony or whatever, we'll we'll take

(59:40):
those as well. Ben'll be on here in a little
sit about six o'clock tonight. Get some of those right now.
The Commanders just fumble the ball near midfield, so they're
still holding on to a twenty ten lead with fourteen
to fifteen remaining in the fourth quarter. The Bengals just
scored a touchdown Jamark Taste Chase touchdown, and and so

(01:00:00):
the Lions are still leading though twenty eight to ten.
The Seahawks with a thirty five to twenty eight lead
over the Buccaneers with three to eighteen remaining. They just
scored a touchdown. Sam Darnold four passing touchdowns in this game.
The Cardinals lead twenty one to six. Kyler Murray did
come back into this game, but the Cardinals are hanging
on with twelve minutes left in that one. Kodiak Building
