Speaker 1 (00:00):
Broncos offensive lineman now starting left guard, Alex Pelchewsky. Alex,
you're on with Dave Logan, Ryan Edwards and Benjamin Albright.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
How are you pretty good?
Speaker 3 (00:08):
How are you guys?
Speaker 2 (00:09):
We're doing good. Alex.
Speaker 4 (00:10):
Appreciate the time you got your first start against the
Giants and it's not like they don't have anybody up front.
How would you say after you went back and looked
at it, how would you how would you say that
first opportunity at left guard went?
Speaker 3 (00:25):
It went pretty good? I mean, obviously very deffinitently. I
haven't played left side for a while, but I mean
all week GB and Luke were helped me tremendously, and
then Zach Street from Simo were tremendous and helping me
get ready for this game, and they helped me a lot.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Can you describe to us was like, and I heard
Joe Lombardi talking about it today, you played over the
right side for basically your entire time and now switching
over to the left.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
How difficult is that for an offensive lineman.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
It's definitely a little bit difficult. Just opposite. I always
kind of to put it bluntly, it's like wiping with
the opposite hands. So it's definitely a little bit different.
But you just gotta kind of dumb it down and
just do simple stuff and just, you know, just be
you at.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
The end of the day, Alex, we had a chance
to chat with Gara Bulls on Tuesday and we went
over the opportunity he had in the end zone to
catch a touchdown pass.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Have you gotten on the drugs? Magine?
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Have you shown the coaching staff that you deserve those
opportunities as well?
Speaker 3 (01:24):
I have not. You know, that's uh I want to
be I want to give those opportunities to Mike, to
GB all those other guys. I'm gladly block anyone inside.
They can keep that. I'm all good on them.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Alex. A couple more here for you. Really appreciate the time.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
One of the fun things for you is with the crowd.
Sixty three is eligible. That has been a lot of fun.
What have you noticed? And I hear you laughing, So
what has that experience been like for you? Every single
time you hear that and then the crowd kind of
goes nuts.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
It was definitely weird. It's funny like when I started
having the first game against Times, I didn't even notice it,
just because I was trying to hear the play call
in the huddle and all that. I didn't notice until
after the game. And then really that Cincinnati game, I
noticed it one time and then I started started like
getting worried about getting fined. It's getting too much freak
of the old time.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
But it was very funny.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
I always think maybe they maybe they see this sad
white guy running onto the fields, and maybe anybody can
do it, you know, But it was very funny. It didn't.
I was shocked that traveled to London as well. I
saw someone had a flag six three is eligible, but
it's been It's definitely a little bit weird, but it's
very funny.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Hey, I'll get last thought here, at least for me.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
You get the Cowboys coming up a different, different front,
for sure. But now as you kind of settle in
your second game and you look at the opposition coming
up on Sunday, what couple of things sort of impress
you about Dallas.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah, I mean they have a lot of them. I mean,
I'm a big fan of Kenny Clark obviously growing up
watching him a lot, but Kenny Otha, I think it's
a very good fun that we'll play very physical. I'm
excited to have another challenge against them and just grow
and keep on evolving into my position and just trying
to help this team win in the best way possible.
Excited to go against them.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yeah, Oh, sorry to interrupt you there.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Joel Mardi was asked about this today, and imagine a
lot of the offensive players are being asked when when
it comes to keeping pace, this is a very high
performing offense for the Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Uh, certainly for you guys.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
I know the emphasis this week is trying to get
off to some faster starts, but when it comes to
keeping pace, what does that do for your preparation for
this for the week.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Yeah, I mean a big thing that again, coach X
three always triffs down, is just preparing throughout the weekend
in practice like it's a game, you know, Like it's
not just some magical button that you turn on on
Sundays that makes you go to perform. It's what you
do throughout the week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, like,
and just getting ready and making the situations as much
as game like as possible so that when it does
(04:03):
get to actual crunch time, it's not a foreign situation,
something that you've kind of conditioned yourself and your mind
and physically to steal as many rest as possible to
get yourself ready for that.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Fantastic Well, Alex, really appreciate the time. Man. Best of
luck on Sunday and the rest of the season. We
appreciate it, definite, thank you so much for having me.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Guys, you've got
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Out absolutely, Alex Polchowski
