Speaker 1 (00:00):
Love that touchdown, specifically because it was right before halftime,
and then of course Johnny Byrn gets an interception on
the drive for the Cowboys, and I mean, you go
to halftime twenty seven to ten, and for all intense purposes,
was that was kind of the game. But you would say, hey,
thirteen plays, sixty five yard drive for the Cowboys when
they got the ball out of halftime.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Twenty seven to seventeen, wasn't It was close enough?
Speaker 1 (00:25):
But then the Broncos kind of put it away field
goal drive, touchdown, touchdown, punt.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
End of game. I mean that's I mean, it's just dominant.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
It really is.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Three oh three seven one, three, eighty five, eighty five
five six six nine zeros or kae Comma spray health
text line. Special teams finally stepped up and Mims had
a solid game with a nice forty seven yard return.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
He's due to take one of the house soon. I agree.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
He is in concussion protocol though, per Mike cliss just
as it heads up. Amazing game today. Other text, huge
relief to see special teams. I think it did that
one already.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
Ryan.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Looking at the schedule ahead, do we get to ten
or eleven? Wins from Jared. Yeah, I don't know. Man
have an opportunity, certainly to get I mean, certainly you
feel you feel pretty decent about ten eleven. I mean
you probably can get up to twelve, depending on how
some things break your way. Packers now up seven to three.
Touchdown pass to Tucker Kraft put them ahead. So Aaron
(01:20):
Rodgers playing his former team. As we're about five or
five or minting in the first quarter of Sunday Night Football,
we go back to the phones, though, three or three, seven, one, three,
eighty five, eighty five and Dylan in Kentucky's up next
year on Broncos Reac what's up?
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Dylan?
Speaker 5 (01:35):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (01:36):
Ryan?
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Hey? What's up?
Speaker 6 (01:37):
Hi?
Speaker 7 (01:38):
H I'm gonna say it now. We're going thirteen and
four this year, Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
I like that. I honestly there's there's there's an opportunity
here for it for sure.
Speaker 7 (01:49):
Yes, that's want to say. On December fourteenth against the Packers,
I'm going to my first Broncos game, and I'm so excited.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
That's gonna be a fun one. It'll be interesting to
see where Green Bay is at that point. I mean,
they look like they're going to be a relatively solid team,
but you know, it'd be sort of depends on what
they need there.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
But I think that'll be a lot of fun for sure.
Good good game to go to.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Man.
Speaker 7 (02:12):
Yeah, I just want to get your thoughts on the
fumble too with McMillan at the bottom of the pile. Yeah,
I look like that he had the ball too, it did,
I'm not sure. Yeah, I thought that was a bad call.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
I thought it was a bad call too. I'm with you.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
It's sort of those like I'm not exactly sure what
they're calling there, saying that he didn't have possession, but
it looked pretty clear that he did in that on
the bottom of the pile. After the play was very
well over that somehow they gave possessions to the Cowboys.
But I mean, again, fortunately it wasn't the difference in
the game, but it was a very frustrating moment because
it has felt like the Broncos have been on the
(02:47):
wrong side of some of those pretty you know, back
and forth or fifty cent or fifty to fifty calls.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
What I'm trying to say.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Yep, all right, thank you.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, Dylan, thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Enjoyed that Packers game back to the phones' ret Ver's
up next year on Broncos reac what's Uprrett?
Speaker 8 (03:03):
Hey, Ryan, appreciate you taking the call. First of all,
just have to acknowledge that it's a case guy who
ruins the good time in the last segment, So it's
more going to just point that out. But I was
really last week looking forward to what the coverage was
going to be of this team on Monday after kind
of an improbable victory against the Giants, kind of not
the game we would have preferred, and I heard everything
(03:23):
from bow Nicks as a bus to he's the second
coming of John Elway, to Sean Payton is an offensive
genius in the fourth quarter to he should probably give
up play calling duties. So my assessment after today especially
is this team is whatever team it needs to be
on a given Sunday, where it can, you know, put
up forty four on a Dallas team that was kind
of right and high, or it can win a griming
game against the Jets in London, and that's an exciting
(03:46):
thing when you're a team that's kind of gone through
it over the last ten years. We got a team
that just wins and in every form in fashion which
is what you need, especially when you know the months
get a little bit colder.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
I love that take, and honestly, again that's the sign
of a good team, you know, having you know, you're
always gonna have your best stuff, but you find a
way to win. And we said that even that last
week and an eything against the Jets, right, those are
opportunities where you kind of see what you're made of.
The giants may maybe a little bit flukey and that comeback,
but the fact is that you didn't really lose belief
that you could. And of course the giants also in
(04:18):
the process as you're putting pressure on them, they fold.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Hey rtt do you like Sam's Number three Dinner and Bar.
Speaker 8 (04:23):
Yeah, it's one of my favorites.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
All right, Well, I'd like to give you a fifty
dollars gift card to them. Is that cool?
Speaker 9 (04:28):
Hey?
Speaker 8 (04:28):
That sounds great, Ryan, I appreciate you.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah, I appreciate it as well. Stay on hold, Shannon
is going to talk to you.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
He's online.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Two there and congratulations. You just want a fifty dollars
gift card to Sam's Number three Dinner Bar. Presenting sponsor
of Denver Defense Difference Denver Defense three and outs. Broncos
react gives away three of these. We have two left
till nine o'clock, so plenty of opportunity. Donald Grand junctions
up next year on Broncos Riac.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
What's up? Donald?
Speaker 9 (04:53):
It wasn't that a great win?
Speaker 2 (04:55):
It was a great win, yes, one hundred percent.
Speaker 9 (04:59):
Yeah, And we're AFC wes uh in first place.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
That is correct, basically two games clear of the Chiefs
at this point, although again we'll see what they do
tomorrow night. But yeah, they're forore in. They're four and
three and the Broncos now sit at six and two.
Speaker 9 (05:17):
Yeah, I'm excited about that.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Yeah. Man, what was your favorite part today? Donald?
Speaker 9 (05:27):
The score on TV yet, that the Dallas will be
able to make the playoffs. I'm like, I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Uh, I, well we'll see. Uh the NFC. You make
a good point.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
The NFC is pretty top heavy, and then there are
a lot of teams with winning records right now, so
it'll be tough. They got a really good offense though,
so if they can sort of hang in there on
that division. I mean that the Eagles got to win today.
They're six and two, so they they're certainly staring uphill.
But the Giants the Commanders are teams that are struggling
(06:05):
a little bit, so they're right.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
In there in that division. But yeah, they got an
uphill climb, no doubt anything.
Speaker 9 (06:10):
Else, Donald, they haven't a defense.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Yeah there, I mean statistically and thanks for the call, man,
the statistically that that defense is is really really struggling.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
There's no other way around that.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Three h three, set one, three eighty five eighty five.
Andy's up next here on Broncos React.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
What's up? Andy?
Speaker 10 (06:29):
Oh man, we had a great time at the game today.
I'm telling you this is one of the fun ones
because at no point did it really fill. Okay, maybe
at one point when that first pick came up on
the first possession, but other than that, he always felt
like Denver had this one every single quarter. But my
favorite moment was watching DeAndre Silben pick up off the
ground after that.
Speaker 11 (06:48):
Pick and then take it back man being the big man.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
That was fun.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
That was fun. Yeah, that was good.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
And uh yeah, I thought for a moment Andy, I
don't know if you guys felt that in the stadium
that we might get a.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
Big guy touched. It was like, oh boy, he's he's trucking.
He is trucking, but uh yeah it was great. I mean,
and Dak throw right to him. It was a weird again.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
He was just you know, Dak goes off and guys
have off days, even the best quarterbacks in the league
have off days, and he's just for whatever reason, he
just stared him down and threw it right to him.
Speaker 10 (07:18):
Yep, yep, man, it was a great game.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Awesome.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Yeah, I appreciate you. Love you too, man, Thanks for
the call. That's uh andy leaving the game. Really good
stuff there, three L three seven one three eighty five
eighty five five six six nine zero's kay common spirital
text line, let's go Broncos from Mike and Pueblo. Do
you think the amount of points scored in today's game
was more of a reflection of the play calling or
just a really bad Dallas defense the they played more
(07:44):
vertical today than usual. Well, it's a combination. But you know,
it's like the same thing we said last week against
the Giants, like, just because it's there doesn't mean that
it's a given. Just because the Giants were collapsing, you
still had to execute. So just because the Dallas defense
is really struggling, I mean really at all levels. They're
(08:04):
struggling run game, pass game, they have a lot of injuries.
They you know, they really lack a top tier edge
rusher who knew. But they're also still dealing with injuries.
So it's a combination of things. But the Broncos offense
still had to execute, and especially coming off of what
happened against the Giants for three quarters, there are questions.
(08:25):
There are wonders whether or not they were going to
be able to do this tonight. So I think that's
that's legitimate. All right, We're going to take a quick break.
We got full lines, get to those when we come back.
We got a lot of text coming in three h
three seven, three eighty five eighty five or five six
six nine zero.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
It's for KA Commas Spurred Health text line.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Broncos fans have been.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
Pretty critical of Jade Barron been critical of the pick
of the Broncos, But again, you'd love having a lot
of depth there seeing some of the stuff over the
weekend on what teams are calling around the league about
cornerback is one of the top ones for almost every
single team. It's kind of nice to be in a
position of strength there, at least for me. Three oh three,
(09:21):
seve one, three eighty five, eighty five, five six, six,
ninety zero. It's air Ka, Comma Spirit Health text Line

Speaker 1 (09:40):
We go back to the phones, and I think I'm
going to get Ben in here in a little bit,
all right, So back to the phones we go, and
it's Harley Little Tin.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
What's up, Harley?
Speaker 7 (09:53):
Hey, how you doing?
Speaker 5 (09:54):
Ryan?
Speaker 6 (09:54):
What a freaking game, man.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
What a freaking game?
Speaker 6 (09:57):
No?
Speaker 2 (09:57):
Doubt.
Speaker 6 (09:58):
Yeah, man, that's actually a great time. He won the
Dave Logan A little snippet there because I was gonna
talk about our rookies man Pat Bryant, RJ. Harvey hat
trick today Bergan his first pick. Super exciting to hit.
To see that we hit on this draft class. It
feels like, especially after this game, what do you think.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Yeah, man, listen, it's one of those deals. And we
said this a while back that you came on. You know,
you were drafted onto a team that had starters. You
had a seven percent of your roster returning, so you
had starters kind of at all the positions.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
So people are like, well, you don't just draft for death,
and it's like, it's actually kind of nice. It's a
nice thing. It's what good teams usually do, is they
draft from strength, right.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
I mean Johnowaye did it for years when he draft
edge rushers or cornerbacks in the first round, right, Bradley Roby,
Shane Ray, for example, when you already had starters at
those positions, and that's just a good sign of a team.
It's like you're good enough and you're said enough at
those positions. Now, could they obtained a tight end of
the draft. Yeah, I mean they took Caleb Loher in
the seventh round, but there were some guys a little
(10:58):
bit earlier. Ronda Gatson is having a great performance there
with the Chargers, for example. But honestly, again, to see
all three of your top guys have such big days
when there's been some grumbling from Broncos fans, I think
it's pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
Man.
Speaker 6 (11:12):
I agree, Man, I agree. It was super fun to watch.
We were at the game today, just amazing. It was
a statement win, I felt like, especially after last week,
you know, kind of fumbling around to the fourth quarter
and yeah, just super fun. And thanks for taking my call, man,
I appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Yeah, Hardley, do you live you live local here?
Speaker 4 (11:30):
I do?
Speaker 6 (11:30):
Yeah, I live in Littleton.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
All right. You like Sam's Number three?
Speaker 5 (11:34):
I do?
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Well, then I'd like to give you a fifty dollars
gift card to Sam's Number three dinner and bar.
Speaker 6 (11:38):
Oh my gosh, no way, are you serious.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
I'm absolutely serious, man. You had a really good call tonight.
Speaker 6 (11:43):
Thank you so much, Ryan, I really appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
I appreciate you. Hang on the line.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Shandon Scott's going to talk to you on line four. Congratulations.
We have one left, but we give away three SAMs,
Number three Diner and bar fifty dollars gift cards every week.
Here to listeners and Boulder, So good stuff there. All right,
back to the phones and Jeane, you're up next year
on Broncos REAC. What's up, Gene Hey.
Speaker 11 (12:10):
I just got to say Ryan that I really loved
the play calling today versus last week. That when when
the Broncos came out last week and called the first
five or six plays, I just didn't love it at all.
And today's play calling was much better. They let Bo
you know, open it up a little bit, and that's
what I like to see. And uh, you know, let's
(12:31):
take advantage of the guy that he is. And I'm
hoping that, you know, we'll keep doing that because it
was a great win today and I think that's a
big reason for our victory.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
I'm one hundred percent with you.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
I mean, they came out, you saw there was there's
an intention with the run, I mean through the interception
early on, but that seemed like a miscommunication more than anything.
Certainly in years past or even in games past where
the margins seemed to be thinnered, that might have doomed
this team, But great job by the defense holding the
Cowboys to a field goal.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
And then yeah, I'm right down the you know, I mean,
you're and you go right back to the ground game,
you go. JK.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Dobbins, You got Marvin Mims getting handoffs today, Argie Harvey
obviously at the forty yard er. I mean, it just
it just felt like the game plan was complimentary all
around to what your strengths are and what the strengths
are ultimately of the team. So I'm a hundred percent
with you, and hopefully this is giving giving confidence to
the coaching staff to call more games like this.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
Gene absolutely, absolutely.
Speaker 11 (13:24):
And you know the other thing that I really liked
is that the Broncos didn't let up. And I really
feel like sometimes the Broncos get ahead of score or
two and they they sort of let up on, you know,
the competition. And I like to see him just like
keep counting it down the field and keep scoring, scoreing scoring.
I think that that's a that's a path to victory
and a path to it's a path to.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
The Super Bowl, right, no doubt about it. Jane.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Thanks thanks for the call, man, yep. I appreciate it
on the text line, Ryan, I'm confused. I'm hearing that
the defense was more than up to the challenge of
facing the least highest scoring offense. That is the fact
that Dallas has averaged forty one at home and twenty
four on the road. So if the Broncos defense gave
up Dallas's average today, how is that dominating defensive performance
(14:10):
literally adds up to average. Well, so you're kind of
missing the point here. First of all, that last touchdown
to Jalen Tolbert with a backup quarterback in is irrelevant.
So yes, you buy the math. They got to the
twenty four, but the game was forty four to seventeen.
And again I'm not saying that. I'm not saying that
(14:31):
Joe Milton to Jalen Tolbert. It shows up on with
the record, and so Dallas gets an opportunity to hold
onto that. But that wasn't from Dak Prescott. See that
number is a Dak Prescott number. Dak Prescott got to
seventeen on the day. So at that point, with four
minutes and change left in the game, you get a
(14:51):
garbage time touchdown inconsequential to the outcome of the game.
Whatever you want to measure that buy, but that it
really didn't matter. It was inconsequential to the old overall
coming game. That's what's important. But hey, you know, if
you want to be that guy.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Then then go for it.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Back to the phones and Matt's in centennials up next
to her on broncos React. Actually one second, Matt, one second,
we got us pause ten seconds, Hey, Shannon, we had
a plaus ten seconds for station identification.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
You're listening to the KWA Broncos Rady.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Network Broncos How Boys on the official home of the
Denver Broncos Ko Way, Denver, eight fifty am, ninety four
to one FM.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Alright, back to the phones, Thank you for holding on, Matt,
appreciate that. How are you?
Speaker 9 (15:39):
Hey?
Speaker 12 (15:39):
Good Ryan, great Win and listening to the show every
day with you and Dave.
Speaker 8 (15:43):
Appreciate all the work you guys do.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Thanks sir.
Speaker 12 (15:46):
The last color kind of stole my stole my thunder.
I did want to give the rookie some credit, but
I will want to talk about John A.
Speaker 5 (15:53):
Baron.
Speaker 12 (15:54):
I think maybe he could play the outside if it's
her hands down. Just wanted to get your thoughts on
that opposite. Riley Moss.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Yeah, I think they go Chris Abrams Drain to start
as the option, but the time is coming for jodd
Ay Barron to get those opportunities.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
You know it's gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
I just in college, right, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Yeah, he played all over, He played all over, so
he's he's got the chops for it. I think that
they sort of want to continue to develop as an
inside guy, but the opportunity may present itself and maybe
if if for some reason, Pat is not available for
this week, then he'll see some snaps out there. I
really do think they want to start with Chris Abrams
Drain on the outside though, and then and then he'll
(16:38):
get He'll just probably get some more work ultimately.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 12 (16:42):
No, I just wanted to give the rookie some shout out.
Another great draft from George Payton. I think he doesn't
get a lot of flowers after games like this, but
the last like two or three drafts, I feel like
we just really stacked him up. So but that's that
was my last point.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
Yep, well saidman, thank you, I appreciate it, and I
think we all want to see a little bit more
from him and not in a at least for me.
Now some Broncos fans may feel different about this, but
for me, it's more I want to see more from
him because I'm excited about the player, not because some
arbitrary we have to play our first rounders arguments. I
feel like that one doesn't hold a lot of water
(17:18):
when you have the secondary that's built the way this
one is. I want to see more from him just
because I think he's an exciting player and he has
a lot to offer, and I think that that time
is coming. It's gonna get there. There's no reason to
force it, despite some rumbling from Broncos fans.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
It's just not necessary.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
But here, if you do have an injury, and if
you end up picking up a couple of injuries, who knows,
then there might be more of a window for him
to play. It's good news, though, that the Broncos haven't
needed that from him just yet, that they can play
him in situations and give him an opportunity to use
his athleticism and build on the reps that he's been getting.
(17:57):
I think that's a great thing. Personally.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
You're on next year on Broncos React with Ryan Edwards
with a profit.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
Hey, Ryan good to talk to you. I couldn't get
through last week on the miracle, and I just I
think I think Bronco Nation needed this, not just to win,
but a blowout where you're not nervous for the whole game.
You get to I know Stidham didn't come in for
too much, but you got to rest some of your
starters a little bit when the game was no longer
in doubt, you know, I mean, I was worried about
(18:28):
this game going in. But tell you what, our offense,
bad defense or not good teams take advantage and now
they're I don't know what you produce. What was your
pre uh preseason pick? Mine was eleven wins. Oh wow,
that looks like they're gonna surpass that. Yeah. But as
(18:52):
far as the comments on the defense, I've been a
little up and down on the defense this year, just
because when we go against teams like Indianapolis San Diego.
Although our offense is plenty to blame there too, you know,
you know, I think it's it's a good enough defense
with an offense like this. I think the Broncos will
go as far as our offense will take them this year,
(19:13):
and defense keep getting turnovers and things of that nature.
But to me, I think that bo Nicks threw good
deep balls. And you know, if you look how he
threw the ball, other than not having a good defense,
he's still was throwing some just he it looks like
he's coming into his own. It's at the right time,
and obviously it helps playing a bad Dallas defense. But
(19:36):
pretty I think, pretty much the most maybe Cincinnati, and
the most complete game we've played. We didn't wait till
the fourth quarter, you know what I mean? Yeah, And
and you don't want to, you want to you don't
want to keep giving your fans, you know, heart truffle
every week.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
And and it was.
Speaker 4 (19:56):
It was an impressive blowout. Yet and I mean not
really much to not like. I mean, you know, we
did give up the touchdown to start the half, you know,
but still playing a pretty good offense. I you know,
that's the last you know, it would have been we
played better than twenty four points. I mean that last, right,
but that was twenty times. It would have been incomplete
(20:17):
nineteen of them, you know.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
But I think that's why I didn't really like that text,
that text that came in where he's saying, like, hey,
what are we talking about a blowout, I'm like, well,
they won by twenty so, first of all, in the NFL,
a twenty point win is a.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Dominant blowout win.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
But the reality is is obviously does isn't even indicative
of how much of a blowout it was because it
was forty four to seventeen when they put Joe Milton in,
and whatever Joe Milton racks up as far as stats
in the game is completely inconsequential, right.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
I mean, I thought our I thought our defense did
better than I thought they would do. I had had
some concerns based on our performances against other good offenses
and feasting on the bad offenses. I thought, getting the
running to me, if I had to point to one
thing on the offense other than bow knicks being very
(21:09):
accurate today other than the interception, but is our running
game and our offense you know the best? To me,
I think the best defense today was our offense. We
kept our defense off the field, We kept them fresh.
You know, we could we could pin our ears back
once we got the big lead and get Dallas to
(21:29):
be one dimensional. That really helped our defense too. I mean,
in fairness to how our defense has had some hiccups
in the year. Our offense had a lot to do
with that by bad field positions three and out. You
got to keep this defense fresh. And I think eleven wins,
twelve wins a playoff win, I think is not and
(21:50):
not out of the rum of possibility at all.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah, I'm with you on that profit, good call, man,
appreciate it all right, Three to three, five, six, nine.
We're gonna take another quick break here. We'll see if
we can get ben on here in just a little bit.
But yeah, twenty five first downs for the Broncos remarkably,
and I agree with everything Prophet said there. The Broncos
actually lost time of possession, which is weird because it
(22:13):
doesn't feel like they had the ball less than the Cowboys.
But the Cowboys had thirty three minutes, thirty three to
thirty two, twenty six to twenty eight. The Broncos were
just so dang efficient with it. And I mean they
average seven point five yards per play, which is outstanding,
(22:34):
might be one of the best of the season for
them as a team that averages five point three averaging
seven point five as an offense. That's our fast stat

up next year on Broncos React.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
What's up? Brian?
Speaker 5 (23:31):
Hey, thank you so much for taking my call. I
appreciate it. I first of all want to say you
guys do a great job. You really do with your
postgame show Man. I listened to a lot of different
postgame shows. I listened to the Dallas one on one,
O five three, the Fan, I listened to the Chargers.
You can get all these on the internet now, by
the way, But you guys are unbiased and you're willing
(23:53):
to call stuff out.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
So thank you very kind. I appreciate that, Brian, Thank you.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (23:59):
The thing I wanted to point out I was sitting
up in section five oh nine in my seats right there,
great view of everything, and I looked at the guy
next to me and I said, all right, three forty
five left go in the third quarter. What we need
now that we got the ball is we need a
long drive that bridges into the fourth quarter. And I said,
(24:20):
I said, we need to two up about six minutes.
I said that at three forty five of the third quarter,
and they scored at twelve forty eight the fourth exactly
six minutes later. I said, their defense this week, I mean,
you know they got some injuries. We know they're porous.
I said, if we gas them, then we'll put this
(24:40):
thing away. So I just you were talking about time
of possession. Yeah, and it is a little tricky, but
when you do something like that. Man, that's that's sixth
quality minutes, isn't it?
Speaker 2 (24:52):
It absolutely is, And when they needed it they did it.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
So to your point, so, I mean it was like
as twenty seven to seventeen early in the third quarter. Okay,
all right, so they got a field goals thirty to seventeen.
But then you got you forced that punt and you're right,
they took over twelve plays eighty four yards, five minutes
and thirty seconds off you get a touchdown on that.
I mean that that's that's strangling your opponent. That is,
(25:16):
that is suffocating them and giving them no opportunity whatsoever,
and that that in effect ended the game at that point.
It's I mean, again, Dallas can score in a hurry,
but that moment, it felt like that broke their back.
Speaker 5 (25:28):
Yeah, and because Prescott can be so lethal. Let's be honest.
You know, the Cowboys are loaded at wide receivers. They
got two a premiere one receivers I think in Pickens
and CD Lamb.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
Do you agree, absolutely?
Speaker 1 (25:43):
And to tight end and the running back, I mean,
they've they've got top five guys really at every position,
and they've got a really good offensive line too. So
the fact that you were able to contain them the
way you did today was remarkable.
Speaker 5 (25:54):
Yeah, and keep keep those guys off the field because
they could they when they get going, they can score.
We saw it in Green Bay game. You know, they
put a forty in that tie with Green Bay. They
put up a ton of points on the Commanders. Okay,
final question. I'm troubled. I worry about our tight end.
Our tight end production is kind of nil. What's going
(26:15):
on there?
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Yeah, thanks for the Carl, Brian, I appreciate it. I'd
say that it's improving, all right. Evan Ingram got another
four catches today and he ended up getting a nice
first down as well. There was a third and ten
they were facing and he got a first down eleven
yard catch and run over the middle. So it's not
it's not as good as you'd probably like it to be,
but I think that there's still some opportunities there for
(26:37):
some growth. But I do like the trend of four
or five catches every game from Evan Ingram. Maybe you'll
pop one. We're certainly hoping for one of those breakout
games coming this way. But he's a factor in the
offense and I'm hoping that continues to grow. All right,
this is this been all right, let's set out to
the hotline and bring on Benjamin Albright, who's been a
big subject tonight on Broncos react.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
A lot of texts coming in tonight. How are you?
Speaker 4 (27:01):
I'm doing fine.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
I don't understand why I would be a subject, but well.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
I think it's you know, you picked against the Broncos,
and and then and then afterwards you were saying things like,
well you should be able to find success against this defense.
And then earlier today afterwards, yeah you did, you did,
you did say that literally did not.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
That did not happen.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Okay, So so.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
How's how's the the overall wetness of the blankets this evening?
Speaker 6 (27:28):
I mean it's it's pretty dry.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
It's a pretty dry blanket at this point. I think,
you know, I think they handled business and they beat
a really good offense, and I think you've you've checked
all those boxes. I think the last box that you
really have to check is next week in its Houston.
They've got a top tier defense will be the tough
his defense we faced, uh, and that'll that'll either seal
the question on you know, on this offense, or it
will invite more. And I think that's the last one
(27:51):
you have to ask. You now know that this defense
is absolutely legit. They completely dominated, destroyed, and shut down
the Dallas Cowboys, so that that box is checked. Question is, okay,
the offense can handle itself against against bad defenses. It
handled to say, it handled itself against Cincinnati. Now let's
see what we can do against one of the best
in the league in Houston on the road next week.
You answer that, bell, I think I think the road's paved.
(28:13):
You're starting to then you can start to say, okay,
we might have a contender here.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
Yeah, I mean, and you're checking boxes to a certain extent, right,
And I see your point there for sure, and you're saying, okay, well,
you kind of said this coming into the week. He said, okay,
well this is a really bad defense, and if the
Broncos offense really does have some struggles against them, what
is that going to say?
Speaker 2 (28:32):
And I think you have to ask that question.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
And then and then after the fact that they dominated them,
the moved up down the field, I mean, most complete win.
I think the bigger surprise in the game ultimately was
the defense being able to shut down that offense as
productively as they.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Were, right right, and they did. They completely shut them down.
And there's there's no questions about this defense anymore, you know.
I mean, yeah, Riley gets flagged because Riley gets flagged,
but that's that's just nonsense. You know, there's no questions
about the defense anymore. The question is on the offensive
side of the ball. Okay, up on the teams we're
supposed to. Now, let's see what we can do against
you know, a really good defense. Like I said, he's
(29:04):
still will be the toughest challenges offensive faced all a year.
You're coming off positive momentum off that quarter, the final
quarter against the Giants, this game against Cowboys, you know,
this is this is time to carry that momentum forward
and carry frankly, this revamped play calling where we decided
to run the ball outside sometimes uh into that game
and uh and have some success.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
So I guess.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
And the text lines asking this already, are are you
going to pick the Broncos versus the Texans?
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Well, I mean I at this point I picked Atlanta
and I picked Cincinnati today. At this point, I think
you want me picking against the In the reverse James going,
I was I had a really bad day.
Speaker 4 (29:39):
So uh, I don't think.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
I don't think the text line wants me to pick
the Broncos if we're being honest here.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
Yeah, you know what that's it was a tough day.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
And I was remarking that to Grant earlier because we
do the opening line together, the best three six five
opening line, and we we had a bunch of picks
that we thought we're gonna go one way and holy
col two a tug on my low up were throwing
four touchdowns versus the Falcons. I mean, there is some
weird gay the Jets finding way to beat the Bengals,
and for you, you were like, Bengals minus five and
(30:08):
a half is easy money. And then here's Justin Fields,
who you've been crushing, leading a touchdown drive twenty three
points of the fourth quarter.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
Man, it was.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
It was a weird day in the NFL once again.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
Yeah, Fields still stank it up most of that game.
And they I mean they were putting the ball in
breese hold hands to throw it because they didn't trust
Fields at the eight line.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
But wow, but they did find the way.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
And yeah, that was I lost lost a little money
on that one.
Speaker 4 (30:31):
I had my most coin was on.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
On Sinsy minus file M. That's tough, really bad day
for me. But we pick it back up and h
and rock it out next week and see what happens.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Well, yeah, I hate to rub it anymore, but I
have to uh our our matchups, our fantasy matchup, our
fantasy matchup today.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
I did check in on that here in a little
bit ago.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
And oh boy, well, if you want to feel really special,
you know I lost a BK in the other league
as well.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Okay, well, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for all the el's.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
Yeah, but it's still going to have room for my
signature now with all these l's, I'm taking the head
to my last name.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Thanks for calling in, brother, I appreciate you. Look forward
to hearing your breakdown of Broncos Country tonight and tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
Yeah, don't get tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
I appreciate it. Benjamin Bright. It's a good sport. It's
a good sport. He didn't he didn't have to call in.
He could have just taking his ball and gone home
after all the l's. And by the way, that's all right.
We like seven l's in there now. Zach Seekers also
picked against the Broncos's he's developing a little bit of
(31:39):
wet blankenness as well. A couple of texts here five
six six nights zero Ryan, Great jobs. Always love your show.
Elicted every week in reference to the text texture about
the Broncos defense allowing the average points that the Cowboys
have scored on the road. When we start saying the
(31:59):
Broncos haven't won by enough points, I think we're having
a great season. When that starts to be the argument,
go Broncos, Robin Brush, I mean, it's a fantastic point.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Right and I I you know, it's funny.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
We had a caller earlier saying, oh, it's gonna be
all positivity tonight, and then you get the one sort
of wet blanket in there, Shannon.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
That wasn't from you, was it?
Speaker 12 (32:19):
No?
Speaker 1 (32:19):
Okay, somettimes Shandon tries to got me a little bit,
and so he'll send me something just to get me
riled up. But yeah, get the one texture in there
and be like, I don't know why you're saying this
is a blowout.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
I don't know why you say this. This is a
dominant win for real, we have for real, Like what else?
What else do you need? This is about as dominant
as it gets. So it's nine to seven now, Pittsburgh
up over Green Bay.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
Three field goals for the Pittsburgh Steelers, five forty six
for minting in the first half. We'll do an NFL
scoreboard check coming up here. But in the meantime three
or three one, three eighty five eighty five, five six,
six nine zero Kway Common Spread Health text line. We
will be right back on the Kway Broncos radio network.
By let's get an NFL scoreboard check. We'll get back
to the phones and text here in just a little bit.
(33:12):
Three three seven one three eighty five eighty five, five six,
six nine zero is our KWA Common Spirit Health text line.
As I mentioned, Steelers currently leading the Packers about four
oh six remaining in the second Corners nine to seven.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
But earlier today, oh my goodness, Ta Tumo i lo
is on a heater play action bags slant the.
Speaker 4 (33:30):
Wattle Wattles got a twenty ten five to Miami.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
Miami Dolphins radio network wbgg W I n Z and
Jimmy's follow there. So Tua tuckaby Loa only had two
hundred and five passing yards. She was twenty for twenty
six four passing touchdowns, though Jalen Waddle had five catches
for ninety nine yards in the touchdown. They absolutely roll
(33:57):
the Falcons thirty four to ten in the game that
you thoughts Falcons, even with her cousins, they were going
to win. Dolphins heading in the absolute wrong direction. Instead,
they dominate and they win that one. Congratulations to the
New York Jets for getting their first win of the season.
Toss sweep to the right, Breese Hall, He's gonna throw
the ball.
Speaker 5 (34:15):
Puff Swans throws back in the end zone.
Speaker 7 (34:17):
It's caught Mason Taylor, the option passed right by Brice
Hall for a touchdown and the Jets.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Are a point after away from the league.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
Bob with chuson one oh four point three in the
New York Jets Radio Network on the call, Justin Fields
had two and and forty four passing yards and a touchdown.
Brees Hall had two rushing and that passing touchdown. I
mean again, credit to them. They were down huge in
this game. Cincinnati was up twenty one, twenty one, thirteen
(34:50):
oh one point, and it just seemed like they were
gonna pull away, and then all of a sudden, the
Jets kind of hanging around, hanging around, and they just
found a way to ultimately get that win. Big, big
time stuff there from the Jets. To get off the snide,
if you will, the Patriots gid up.
Speaker 13 (35:06):
The Pats have a third and goal to go on
the one yard line at Cleveland. Got to get left
hash mark three to the left, one to the right.
In motion to the right is Hunter Henry Krick. May
dropped back, throws it quick to take. He's in for
a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
Patriots take advantage of the interception.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
Bob soci ninety five Sports Hub Patriots Radio Network of
Scott Zolac underneath that. So Patriots win this one relatively easily,
thirty two to thirteen. But I do want to shout
out Miles Garrett as he finished the day with five sacks,
five sacks on Drake May, who.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Is sacked six times in the game.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
Quinchn Jenkins left this one relatively early, so we'll see
what in the hint injury he ended up having. Treyon
Henderson had his most productive day ten carries for seventy
five yards, though we did have a fumble right at
the goal line. Drake May three passing touchdowns, one interception.
He is in the conversation for MVP and they are
six and two. Patriots are absolutely legit. The Philadelphia Eagles
(36:07):
easy work, light.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
Work Hurts and the gun motion Gipson right to left.
Speaker 11 (36:12):
Hurts gets it off, no fakes, he fires the plate,
cut down.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
Dallas Carder suck the game. Great play call.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
Yes it was Merril Reee my Quick Sports Radio ninety
four wip on the call. Thirty eight to twenty was
the final. Cam Scataboo left this game early and it
looks like his season might be done. He's gonna have
surgery on a dislocated ankle. Sounds very painful. Sakwa Barkley
fourteen carries for one hundred and fifty yards in the touchdown,
also at a receiving touchdown. In this game, Dallas Carder
(36:44):
had two receiving touchdowns. Johan Dotson filling in for aj
Brown had a touchdown as well, so four passing touchdowns
for Jalen Hurts as he made light work of the Giants.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Thirty eight to twenty was the final.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
The Buffalo Bills, if you hadn't noticed, are still very
good hood coming off their by.
Speaker 13 (37:01):
Here's the snap back to pass quick Hendry Shakir spins
away from the defenderies up the sideline thirty five, thirty
gown to the twenty, cuts it.
Speaker 2 (37:09):

Speaker 5 (37:17):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
Chris Brown WGR Sports Radio five fifty in Buffalo.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
They lost two games.
Speaker 1 (37:23):
Fairness, Buffalo Bills had lost two games heading into their buy.
The vibe were not immaculates. But today was a complete
win really for them. Andy Dalton looked lost for large
portions of the game. That did help the cause, but
in the end the Bills improved five and two of
the forty to nine win over the Panthers. We move
(37:44):
on the Baltimore Ravens. They finally get a win.
Speaker 11 (37:48):
They'll go no huddle.
Speaker 13 (37:50):
Huntley will set under center, Derrick Henry alone in the backfield.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
Give us a Henry running left.
Speaker 4 (37:57):
They're coming in touch Raven.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
Jerry Sandusky the WBA l WIYY Ravens Game Day Network
on the call. So Derrek Henry King Henry twenty one
carries for seventy one yards and two touchdowns. Nice to
see him bounce back. Tyler Huntley, how to fill in
today for Lamar Jackson? One hundred and eighty.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
Six passing yards in a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
He also added eight carries for fifty three yards at
Chicago Bears.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
This about as easy as this was supposed to be.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
Baltimore Ravens defense really still not great, but Caleb Williams
two hund and eighty five passing yards, one interception.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
They're only a touchdown on the day. Came with DeAndre
Swift at the goal line.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
But yeah, this is kind of a head scratch for
the Bears, who had an opportunity. Meanwhile, the Ravens keep
hope alive with a win thirty to sixteen. Lamar Jackson
expected back for Thursday Night Football coming up a couple
of days.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
Texans le Broncos next opponent.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
They get a dub today and kind of a big
one after being embarrassed the other night against Seattle and
got a shout out here.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
You're missing vehicle Collins, No problem, you guys. Xavier Hutchinson
