Speaker 1 (00:00):
Win a lot of games here right now. How you
say the locker room is feeling right now about everything?

Speaker 2 (00:04):
I mean, I think we're feeling pretty good. Five and two,
top of the division for right now. I mean, this
is the best start that I've had since being here. So,
you know, we're finding ways to win these games. But
there's a ton of things to improve on on the
offensive side of the ball.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Yeah, Bo talked about practicing with an edge this week.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
What was that like, I think details, that's kind of
the Then the the thing I look at after these
games on tape is that there's just not enough detail
work by the entire offense. You know, it takes all
eleven of us to get these plays rolling. So I
think the detail the focus making practice a little bit
more stressful, making practice feel a little more game like,

(00:42):
trying to replicate, Hey, what you're doing in practice is
what's going to happen in a game, So let's start
practicing as such. So I think that's been a big
part of our improvement this week that we're trying to make.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
I mean, one of the things that I think every
team wants to be able to do is to close games.
And so you guys finding ways to close three straight games,
coming back and winning those games. That has to matter
for something, right.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Yeah, being able to close the games is important. I
mean we always say it. The only time you can
win a game is in the fourth quarter. So you know,
we had a couple of games early where weren't able
to close Colts and Chargers, and so that was an
emphasis is be getting better at closing games. And now
it's about starting fasts that way, we don't have to
you know, have to have this crazy comeback in order

(01:22):
to win a game. So there's things we're trying to
piece together as we continue to find our identity.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
How would you feel about what halfway through the season
where the run game is at right now?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
I would say decent, but not good enough. There's a
lot of yards that are consistently being left out there,
and that's where the detail work really is going to
pay dividends. You know, JK has been doing a great job,
and I think the relationship that we've built with O
Line and running back room is going to just continue
to you know, help us achieve our goals in the

(01:54):
rushing game.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Was there a point in this last game against the
Giants where you guys on offense sort of felt the
momentum for you.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
I mean, I'm not as the offensive lineman. It was
just kind of put your head down and work and grind, like,
don't don't worry about the scoreboard, just take it one
play at a time. I mean those are cliches, but
you know, when you're down that many points and you
know you got to throw the ball against a really
good rushing front, you really got to take it one
play at a time and not get too overwhelmed or
whatever by the moment. And I think we've done a
really good job in the old line of taking care

(02:23):
of those moments and you know, still playing our best
football and giving ourselves a chance.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
The Dallas defensive front certainly a lot of talent there.
You know Kenny Clark, you face him before, what's that
matchup going to be?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Like? Yeah, I mean he's a strong, vet, smart. I
have a ton of respect for him. I mean he's
I think this is like year nine or ten for him,
So I mean for him to still be playing at an
elite level, you know, as a nose tackle and in
this in this league is incredible. So it'll be quite
the quite the matchup and you know it'll be another
one of those weeks where it's a grind. It's what

(02:56):
it is, all right.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
And last one And I feel like this is a
bit of a cliche kind of conversation, but kind of
has to be asked. Do you guys feel a pressure
to keep pace when you know the opposing team's offense
is performing at the level that the Dallas Cowboys offense is.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah, I think it's something to be aware of how
well they're playing, how many points they're scoring, and you
know they're doing it early. And so that's something that
as part of our emphasis this week of being able
to start fast and not necessarily of like being worried
about like we needing to keep up. I think it's
more so about doing our job and getting the points
that we know we can score. But we're executing at

(03:31):
a high level, so you know it's going to be
a really good game. It's going to be a battle,
and like I said, you can only win this game
in the fourth. Thanks Quinn, First, I appreciate you, Manank
you
