Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's head down to the locker room talk with a
starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos bon Knicks Boe. It's
Dave Logan. I'd ask you, like, what's up in this
fourth quarter? Because you're starting to give people heart palpitations.
How can you quantify just sort of what takes place?
And we've seen it several times this year. Today eleven
points in the fourth quarter and you find a way
(00:22):
to win the game.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yeah, we just knew it was gonna be a patient game.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
We knew they were a good defense. There was gonna
be tough, and we just had to play the field
position battle there at the end, and then we got
it close enough and got the fill well at the end.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
You, I thought the big play in that last drive
was your twenty I called it a scamper twenty five
yard run. Did you just you just saw an open lane,
just decided to take it.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Play a couple of times to them a few different ways,
and we just there was a good gap trout and
made a good block and the d lion all overran it,
and the safety's kind of ran with a concept and
there was nobody on the back side of the field.
So it was just one of those times that the
scramble works and you were able to get a big chunk.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Yeah, I'll get you out of here on this again.
I talk about I mean, you're the quarterback of the
team on the offensive side, but the defense today does
not give up a touchdown twice stopped Houston from the
end zone on a goal to goal situation inside the five.
Got to make you feel pretty good. You practice against
(01:27):
them all the time, but to see them in action
and what you've seen in the first eight games of
the season, it's pretty special.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Yeah, that was huge, and they you know, whenever we
call on and they answer the call and they do
a good job, and those stops were huge, and limiting
that team the field goals was huge because that was
a good football team and we knew they were gonna
play really good defense, and we kind of matched theirs,
and you know, played really good and we scored when
we had the opportunities, and we scored touchdowns, and I
(01:55):
think that was the biggest difference is we didn't have
to settle for field goals, and then there at the
end we got the last second.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Field goal, which was all we needed.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Yep, Hey, congratulations, We'll see you this week. Thank you
you bet bo Nicks in the locker room down to
the middle of the field. We check it as soon
as you work.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
Thank you, Dave Zach. You came into this game with
thirty one. Few beat pressures you had, I.
Speaker 5 (02:16):
Don't know, a dozen todays seemed like, but the most
important one they're coming on.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
That final Houston drive had the sack as well. What
a defensive effort to speak to. How you guys did
that today and you were out there for a long time.
Speaker 6 (02:26):
Yeah, No, I mean it's it's a really special group
and really proud of how we battled and you know,
we just got to keep on improving.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
You had some good hugs with some guys here, You
got some good memories here with some special peer Yeah.
Speaker 6 (02:39):
I have a couple of friends on the team. And
then the Matt Berg their DC was my d line
coach my last year in Arizona, and I owe so
Musham and I love them and uh, I'm.
Speaker 7 (02:47):
Really really appreciative of them.
Speaker 5 (02:49):
All right, last question, we come down to another last
second field goal.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
They can't all be like last week, can they? What
do these do to the heart?
Speaker 6 (02:56):
No, we just find a way away and that's all
that matters. So uh yeah, no, all of a job
on the offense and lots off you know, uh, you know,
finish it out and uh it's a special group really
is all right.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Thanks, I appreciate it. You bet all right, Dave back.
Speaker 8 (03:08):
Up to you, all right, Thanks Dave. Okay, r J.
You were Oh no, it's just me just talking. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 5 (03:15):
It's a little different down here, man, differently. Hey, you
are now the what a cool thing. You have the
most receiving touchdowns by a rookie running back in franchise history.
Did you know you were gonna get the ball that much?
You were the leading wide receiver in this game.
Speaker 7 (03:28):
I mean, it's I mean, we just it's just reps
every day. We just practiced those plays and you know,
we just executed it well today. So I'm just happy
for the guys and myself.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
So Sean just talked about in his press conference that
he did something with family members in a video last night.
Speaker 8 (03:44):
Did you have something on there?
Speaker 7 (03:45):
Yeah, definitely the play that you sold. It wasn't what
I scored on, but yeah, he did. My parents. He
called my parents and they just said, let's go, RJ.
This is your play and he did it for everybody,
you know, everybody. Wives was on the screen and girlfriends
and kids. It was a cool moment.
Speaker 8 (04:05):
That's pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
All right?
Speaker 8 (04:06):
Are you have enough of these last minute wins?
Speaker 4 (04:08):
Are you wanting some?
Speaker 8 (04:09):
These are tough, aren't they? Welcome to the NFL. I
got to the league.
Speaker 7 (04:13):
It's been a close game pretty much every week except
for last so you know, that's just what the NFL is.
You know, it's nailed Biden for sure.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
Absolutely our j Last question for you and I chatted
in the pregame and you told me one of the
things you learned from JK was just his patience. And
we saw some runs today that looked very JK ish.
Are you still continuing to learn and definitely?
Speaker 8 (04:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (04:32):
JK had a great game today. You know, he has
some great cutbacks again as usual. It's just a usual
thing with Jak. I'm just glad to be in the
room with him and just continue to learn from him
and develop my game.
Speaker 8 (04:43):
All right, congrats on those touchdowns.
Speaker 7 (04:45):
Thank you, Dane.
Speaker 8 (04:45):
All right, Dave back up to you.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
All right, thank you, Dave. All Right, another nail bier,
but seven and two. Have you had a few of
these in your time, though you've been around a while.
Speaker 6 (04:55):
I'm sure we did it a couple of weeks ago.
I guess freagain the New York Giants, so very let's
just be part of a team that has a lot
of grit to him. So I'm just excited to be
part of it and hopefully we can continue to win.
Speaker 5 (05:05):
Talk more about this defensive effort, and you guys were
out there, I think you had about ten more minutes
of possession than the offense did and just kept going
out and it was three and outs, three and outs,
three and outs, and then I know that you're kicking
yourself for a couple that you felt like you should
have had.
Speaker 6 (05:18):
Yeah, most definitely just trying to be the best team
player I can be, and that means I got to
do my job and come back down with a couple
of those throws. So definitely just proud of the guys
that they stepped up, especially when we needed to. And
at the end of the day, it's a team win
and we just got to continue going to the.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
Next all right, last one huff coach shared in this
press conference that he did something different with like family
videos last night, families coming on and talking about different
plays that was that just offense or did it happen
for you guys too?
Speaker 6 (05:44):
I think that was just offense. I wasn't paying attention meetings.
Speaker 8 (05:49):
You would have known if it would have happened.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
Yeah, all right, Well, now here we go, and we
got a game coming up again really soon on Thursday night.
How do you get prepared for something like that?
Speaker 6 (06:00):
You know, just take care of the body first and foremost.
Speaker 7 (06:02):
It's a short week.
Speaker 6 (06:03):
Just go out there and just be on the details
as much as we can, get the game plan simplified,
and go out there and make some plays against the Raiders.
Speaker 8 (06:09):
So all right, appreciate it, HUF, good job, Thank you
so much. Appreciate it. Okay, very good day. Back up
to you.
