Speaker 1 (00:00):
He also said this thirteen yard or later on.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Nix and the gun. They rushed four bow in the pocket,
goes ball middle of the field, past part first down
Denver at the forty nine yard line.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
That catch by Pat Bryant MJ.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Stewart in the area. The sticks move on a third
and eleven and that is going to take us after
the completion of thirteen yards to the two minute warning.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
So he converted third and seven on for seven yards
and then he converted a third and eleven for thirteen
yards two catches. He needs more work. Pat Bryant simply
needs more work. Welcome back to Broncos. React on Ryan Edwards.
Today's game presented by Children's Hospital Colorado Official Children's Hospital
of the Denver Broncos.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
A couple of texts here, another great game by this defense.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Bo was frustrating missing some open plays early, but man,
he is clutch. I'll take the wins over fantasy football stats.
Great Callbo, mister Logan, great wrap up show, Ryan PSLs
for everyone Tim in Cincinnati.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Thank you, Tim, appreciate that.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Oh shit, here, Ryan, can I ask what challenge has
our offense or defense gone up against? And they did
better than my expectations. I don't expect much from these guys,
you know, I know they suck. They repleted it repeatedly
fall short of my impressive scouting ability.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
That's pretty funny. That seems like Twitter in a nutshell.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
You just get along onto Twitter during a Broncos game
and everybody out there, again entitled to their opinion. But
it is all film grinders out there like, ah, this
is play.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
He missed this, not one of them. Mind. You could
line up under center and do a fraction of the things.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
And again, I'm not saying that is some kind of
reflection of fandom, because fandom is fanatical, right, I mean
it is. But I always think that the perspective is
important here because you can criticize on what that player
does relative to other players in their position, but not
in you could do better than them. And sometimes it
(02:03):
comes across a little bit as I could do better
than that.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
No, you can't, just you can't. Back to the fold.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
As we go and 'ron to late a'clock, Benjamin Albright
to be along in a little bit. I'm sure he'll
have some thoughts. John, and Lincoln's up next to you
in Broncos rank.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
What's up, John, Hi there, thanks taking my call. These
people that are complaining about bow and the team, but
you know he was he was under fifty percent today, Okay, sure,
and he had a rough stretching there. But that fourth quarter,
that great pass to Harvey for the touchdown, and those
two great runs to set up the winning field goal.
Speaker 5 (02:39):
You know the kid.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
The kid's a winner. It's that simple. And for those
who are complaining about Denver, you know, and they want
change all this.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
Just let you remind you.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Detroit lost at home today to Minnesota and JJ McCarthy,
who people know, didn't give him a chance. Colts had
six turnovers and they lost at Pittsburgh and Green Bay
I lost at home to Carolina, So you know, I
don't think Indianapolis is ready to give up on Daniel
Jones because they had one bad game. You know, just
the kids winner. Like you said late in the game,
(03:11):
he keeps you on the edge of your seat. Of
course they oh wait, did that too in the early days.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
And no one wanted to get rid of John Elway
at least I hope not. This team's been all right,
And I text my sister in Denver every time after
the game we go back and forth. We both agree
if we can beat the Raiders Thursdays and let's just
see what happens in two weeks when the Chiefs come
to town, that would be kind of fun.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah again, I like the mindset of the seam John.
That was one of my favorite calls. That's really really good,
and we were honestly talking about that during the break.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
I mean, would you rather be the Green Bay Packers today?
Speaker 6 (03:39):
Who lost?
Speaker 1 (03:40):
I mean green Bay Packers would rather be here? Look
at Cincinnati Bengals.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Joe Flacco had an unreal day, That offense had an
unreal date.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Let me leave find that the final stat line.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
So Joe Flacco threw for four hundred and seventy yards
and four touchdowns and they lost.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
That game today? How about that? Would you rather be?
Speaker 3 (04:00):
And maybe some Broncos fans would be yeah, I don't know,
some Broncos fans might be wishing we had Joe Flacco
here throwing for four hundred and seventy yards and four
touchdowns and a loss.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
I take the dub personally. And by the way, Caleb
Williams way to hang in there. Impressive stuff there from
Kayleb Williams in that last touchdown pass to Colson Love.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Now, Colson lovel did a lot of work to make
that happen. But yeah, just just fro perspective here. You're right,
the Lions losing at home, the Packers losing at home
to the Panthers. Chargers had a scare against the Titans.
That thing was that was close. Patriots had a scare.
Falcons missed an extra point, which is such a falcon's.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Way to lose. God, It's like, come on, Falcons.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Drek Lennon has three touchdowns today, He's three touchdowns and
they lose because of an extra point.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Mind numbing.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Yeah, it's a weird day, Colts. As you mentioned, it's
to the Steelers. Steelers look like they couldn't figure out
how to do anything.
Speaker 7 (05:04):
Right.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
Back to the phones, Mike and Davenport is up next,
jure on Broncos react.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
What's up?
Speaker 7 (05:08):
Mike?
Speaker 5 (05:09):
Hey, Ryan, how are we doing tonight?
Speaker 1 (05:11):
I'm doing great, man, Thanks for calling in.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Hey, I'm just calling in tonight, just you know, I
defend Darren Rizzy a little bit here. There's been a
lot of callers calling in and kind of complaining about
the special team's performance. But I mean today for example,
I mean the muff fumble on the punt and then
the blockfield goal the return, there's an illegal block there.
(05:35):
I think we're forgetting about a lot of the good
things that there are special teams has done up to
this point. We've got Marvin Mims and obviously he's out
right now, but I mean he's a Pro Bowl returner
and and you know, we're just kind of struggling through
that a little bit. But I mean, there again, if
you're going to criticize Darren on the miscues of the
(05:57):
special teams, so we're not going to give him credit
for are you know, let's kicking game winners. And we're
not going to give him credit for Jeremy Crosshaw today
flipping the field twice, yes you didn't, pinning and then
pinning them inside the twenty in the fourth quarter. I mean,
so let's let's be balanced here on how we criticized
Darren Rizzy And that's all I want to say.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Like that, I like that take you. That's a good one, Mike.
I appreciate that, and it is fair. There are some wins,
there are some some good moments for special teams. It's
I think that the bad moments, and oftentimes it's because
it's measured against dearre Zzy, who you think is one
of the supposed to be one of the elite special
teams coordinators in the league. Fair or not, that's just
(06:38):
that was what it's it's sold as it's billed as
Darren Rizzy is it was a steal for the Broncos
to get.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
I think he's still a very good coach.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
But when you have like a hiccup in a game, yeah,
that's you know, you know, I mean again per game,
and in this case, you had multiple hiccups.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
I think that's where a little bit that drum beat
comes up from.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
So I think it's a fine line of letting somebody
off the hook and the simultaneously acknowledging all the good
stuff they're doing too. And you're right, Will Let's came
up clutch and he has multiple times. It's the reason
why he won AFC Special Teams Player of the Month.
That's a Darren Rizzy mark two, isn't it? Will Let's
winning AFC Special Teams Player of the Month.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
At least I think so.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Boseman Carro springs rub next year in Broncos react, what's
up Bozman.
Speaker 7 (07:31):
Hello, can you hear me?
Speaker 8 (07:32):
I can.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
What's up?
Speaker 9 (07:34):
All right? First off, I'm really happy about the win.
But I think a big part of why the game
was so close, other than the bad throats by Bonneck,
was play calling. I feel like the amount of bubble
screens and deep balls that were called throughout the game
were really hurting us, especially when the percentage right for
a good gain on those plays was so low.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
A little bit.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Yeah, again, I think with this because of the talent
of this d defense, there was a little bit of
wanting to get them horizontal, get them kind of tigered
if you can, with some of those bubble screens. And again,
one of the hallmarks of this Texans defense is their speed,
and that seemed to be kind of the play here
was to try to soften that a little bit because
(08:17):
they have incredible closing speed. And again, they're the number
one scoring defense in the league for a reason.
Speaker 9 (08:25):
I guess I actually that kind of makes sense. I
haven't thought about it that way.
Speaker 10 (08:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
No, it's a good point, though.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Listen, and there wasn't inconsistencies most and I thank you
for the call, appreciate it. There were inconsistencies that that's undeniable.
And like I said, I did think that they got
away from JK. Dobbins a little early. There were some
times even when the screens weren't really working. Remember the
screen game for the Broncos. Got to remember this and
this is from Marvin Mims. It's a function of their
(08:50):
run game. That's how they view it. There's three to
four yards and maybe a break one, but three to
four yards that they can get on those and they
believe that. And so because of that's that's the play
is like, Hey, let's get four yards here, you know,
let's get one more call in here. Eric, you're on
next year on Broncos Rieg.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (09:10):
Eric?
Speaker 11 (09:11):
What's up?
Speaker 12 (09:11):
Brian?
Speaker 8 (09:12):
Eric from Miami here.
Speaker 13 (09:13):
I just want to say thank you guys at Kawa.
You guys get me through my day on the road
for work with all the podcasts. Just two quick things
for you, man. I know most players get like a
smelling salt or something to amp them up during the game.
Can we give bo Nicks maybe something like Camra Milt
or something like that to just come down just a
little bit so he doesn't get to a Radick in
the pocket. And no, I'm just choking. Man, he's playing amazing.
(09:35):
I'm so happy with this team and just wanted to
give you a thought that this team's reminding me a
lot of like a Steelers team with a with a
young big Ben, you know, little by little getting better
and better each game and opening the offense more and more.
And we're really lucky as Broncos fans to have this team,
this coach, this owner, owner group, and yeah, man, I'm
(09:56):
just pumped about being seven to two and nobody down
here in South Florida tell me nothing.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
Perfectly said, nobody can tell me nothing. That's good. Eric,
I like that, Thanks for the call. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
And by the way, the tech the Bills just pulled
ahead twenty eight to thirteen over the Chiefs. As we're
scoreboard watching on that game, there's something I like the
Campamill Tate tee take there.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
That's good.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
He's a little, like I said, he's bailing from some
clean pockets.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
That's just one thing that I still feel like we
need to be better.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
I actually thought the Dallas game he had some of
his best moments with that, but this game he did
look a little rattled at times by what the Houston
Texas were doing. But again, one of the best defenses
in the league, you're not going to see that versus
the Raiders coming up. I think you're gonna see a
more confidence bon Nix, and I think that's part of
the deal is against good teams, he needs to continue
(10:48):
to sort of settle in and against bad defenses he'll
probably look very very good.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
And people will move the goal posts. I'm not saying
you specifically, but people will move the goal posts one
way or the other. Well it's a bad defense. Well
is this in the end final way to win?
Speaker 3 (11:04):
Play great when it matters the most, and the Broncos
are one of the best in the league.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Have doing that and that's why they're seven and two.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
All right, three oh three, seven, three eighty five, eighty five,
five six, six nine Zeros or Kway Common Spirit Health
text Line. Still have a couple of those fifty dollars
gift cards to Sam's Number three Diner in Bar presenting
sponsored Denver Defense three and Ounce to give away again.
We have two remaining and you have to be in Denver,
Boulder to qualify. We'll come back, we'll read some text,
we'll get some calls coming up next and we're on
till eight o'clock on the Kway Broncos radio network.
Speaker 11 (11:31):
Bow can run forever bo Here we go, forty five midfield,
forty five, forty nicks, all the way to the Texans
thirty six yard line. He finally took off and ran,
and he runs for twenty five yards and a huge
first down with thirty five seconds to go in the game.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
Clutch bonix that twenty five yard run and once again
Dave Logan say, here we go.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Happy six hundred to Dave Logan his six hundredth game.
Here we go.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
I mean, besides I Love you might be the three
best words at all of life. Here we go, the
best if you're just listening on the iHeart app or
on terrestrial radio, and Dave says, here we go. Somebody
called it and said something about smelling salts. It's quite
(12:27):
literally the audio version of smelling salts. For me, I
set up in my chair as I'm listening to the game,
there's just this suspense of, oh my gosh, something amazing
is happening.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Dave's the best.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
Here we go, and considering what had happened over the
course of the game, ha, we needed to here we go.
We hadn't really had to. Here we go, we needed
it desperately. Welcome back to Broncos React. Today's game brought
to you by Carl Raden's Responsible Energy Development, developing Colorado's energy.
Learn more at cred dot org than a cr eed
dot org. We'll do an NFL scoreboard coming up here
(13:05):
in just a little bit.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
BENJAMINL.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
Bright joining me at the top of the hour. We
go back to the phone, said Paul is Hyenne. Thank
you so much for hanging on.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
Paul.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
How are you doing?
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Good?
Speaker 6 (13:13):
Ryan?
Speaker 12 (13:14):
How you doing?
Speaker 6 (13:14):
And here we go?
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Here we go? So good?
Speaker 14 (13:17):
All right, Hey, I appreciate you guys. Listen to you
on the app every afternoon when I lose signal. I'm
a letter carry out here, but I will let you
know that I was really down on Riley Moss the
beginning of season. I listen to you guys and watching games,
and he actually did a pretty good job today. A
little disappointed with the offense, but again we're facing the
(13:37):
number one overall defense and scoring, and overall offense did
a good job. I mean, bo does throw into triple
coverage every now and then. In double coverage, I'm not
sure what our offense really wants to be.
Speaker 5 (13:52):
I think interesting a lot.
Speaker 14 (13:53):
More running than we do. I've heard a lot of
that on the on the app over over the last
few weeks. I don't like the swing passes screen passes.
That only works when your run games working, and I
think we need to work to the sticks rather than
going deep so much. But other than that great game,
I'm glad we won. You know, when we were against
(14:14):
the Giants, my family comes over watch the game. I'm like,
we are not out of this, and we won. And
today my son was like, this is terrible. I'm like,
we're not out of this.
Speaker 5 (14:23):
We still won.
Speaker 14 (14:25):
So I'm a boliever. I got my curse shirt, I
got my jerseys. I'm glad we won. I'm glad we're
seven to two. I'm glad that Jacks are beating the
Raiders right now. I'm glad that Bills are beating the
Cheese right now. We're tight with the Colts. It can't
be better. But our offense has really got to start clicking.
And I know we got it. Our old line integrate.
(14:47):
And I was one of the guys that said, let's go.
Frank Crumb, you said, I don't know if we want that,
but our old line is Studs and our old lines
our offense has just got to get it together. But
it was a great game. I wish we could score
the mode, but again, you know the number one defense.
I mean, what more could you ask for?
Speaker 15 (15:08):
Right?
Speaker 1 (15:08):
I completely agree, Paul. Thanks for the call, man, really
good call, really really good call.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
And yeah, I mean that point you made about not
knowing what you want to be there are there's definitely
some moments to that. I guess it's a little bit
amba like, right, I mean, you you're sort of what
you need to be for the day. That doesn't mean
that you can sustain or live like that, but it's
a it's a path that they're taking right now because
(15:34):
there and I will say that I guess the glass
half full version of that is that you're going to
keep opponents guessing a little bit too on what you're
going to be. I mean, they certainly attacked down fields
a lot more versus Dallas than they were able to
against the Texans. Right, But then simultaneously you're saying, well,
(15:54):
wouldn't you like to be able team that can sort
of line up and do what you want to do
and enforce your will on another team. Yes, of course,
I just don't know if they're there yet. Like that's
what it feels like, is they're they're not. They're not
that kind of team. But that doesn't mean you can't
win and rack up some wins.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
In the process.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
And once again a reminder you don't need to be
playing your best football today, need to be being playing
your best football in January, really December into January. But
that's more what I'm looking for than anything. But I
think it was a good call, Paul. Back to the phones,
Mike and Pueblo. You're up next to on Broncos react.
What's up, Mike?
Speaker 16 (16:31):
How are you doing?
Speaker 1 (16:32):
I'm great, man, how are you?
Speaker 16 (16:34):
I'm doing all right? I was just calling a wish
Dave a happy six hundred. It's one of the best
high school football coaches ever in Colorado.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Completely agree, yep.
Speaker 16 (16:49):
Yeah. And now on the game today, I think the
Broncos semented that they have the best defense and in
football actually with them, with them goal I stands it
will just you know awesome.
Speaker 5 (17:03):
Uh.
Speaker 16 (17:03):
The only thing I can't even criticize is his bowl.
He's the second year player. He'll he'll he's gonna grow
he's still growing.
Speaker 7 (17:12):
Uh.
Speaker 16 (17:13):
But I agree with the first guy that said they
needed more play, more for the sticks than they do.
You know the bomb downfield. That just irks me when
whenever he gets happy, see he throws the bomb. Other
than that, the only way they're going to get to
the super Bowl is that this defense keeps playing the
way they do. And I hope they do, you know
(17:34):
what I mean. But I do pray to God they
didn't have no no injuries. But that's about all. I
just wanted to wish Dave a hap six hundred man.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Very cool. Thank you, Mike. I really appreciate that. I
know he appreciates that as well. Terry in Boulder. You're
up next to your Olbroncos rianc what's up?
Speaker 17 (17:53):
Carry Hey?
Speaker 10 (17:54):
I am so proud of the Broncos feeding the Houston Texans.
And like I keeps saying in the Bible of James,
patients must have her perfect work. And it takes a
lot of work to get the offense going. And you're
such a kind guy to do these kind of Bronco
(18:17):
talks and I appreciate you and keep up the great work.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Thank you, Kerry. I appreciate that. Thank you. Very much
for the call, and the compliment means a lot.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
John, you're um next to on Broncos react three on three,
seven eighty five.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
We'll go back to the text line here in a moment.
What's up John?
Speaker 5 (18:35):
And Ktion You got me?
Speaker 1 (18:36):
I got you men.
Speaker 18 (18:37):
Hey, what a great what a great win. I would
never turn down this record. So let me just tell
you that wins and wins a win. We love Monday's
after a win. Right, Yes, I have a question at
the end of the statement. When you win games by
a single score, the gods have to smile on you.
Our miraculous comeback. They did it like six times in
(18:58):
the same game, right, and that bounds you know, that
deflection that whatever, eventually you got it. You know, it's
kind of factor. So my question to you is you
when do you worry that we're winning by that little margin?
And when do you think we have to see something
bigger than that.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
It's a really good question. Hey, John, have you ever
been to Sam's.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Number three Stunner and bar I have not. Okay, I'd
like to send you there with a fifty dollars gift card.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
You cool with that?
Speaker 19 (19:27):
Oh?
Speaker 18 (19:27):
I love that? Thank you?
Speaker 1 (19:28):
You're right, welcome, Wenna. Put you on hold here. Congratulations,
it's line four for you. There's Zach. Zach Seaker is
going to talk to you. Congratulations.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
That's another one given away A fifty dollars gift card
to Sam's Number three Diner and Bar, presenting sponsor of
Denver Defense three and outs. We give away three every
single week, and we have one left over the next
three hours and change.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
So opportunities abound.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
Yeah, I mean, it's a fair question, right, the sort
of your you wonder when your luck will run out?
I guess, but I don't know. Man, this every so
often in the league. Somebody pointed out the Chiefs finding
ways to win games last year. The Broncos when they
won a championship back in twenty fifteen, they just found
creative ways to win games. They didn't look great on
(20:13):
offense through large portions of that season, and each game
had a little bit of a different signature to it.
There would be games where they had nice offensive performances. Now,
in the end, the final score is what matters, so
we can I think we talk about style points a
lot when it comes to fan react shows and sports
talk shows. Throughout the course of the week, and I
(20:34):
think that that's all fair. It's all fair game, because
that's that's what being a fan is. But ultimately, at
seven and two and just finding unique ways to win
despite maybe not playing your best football is the mark
of a good team, and so I don't I'm not
gonna worry too much about that until there becomes a
pattern where they don't close games, if that makes sense. John, Like,
(20:56):
that's where I start to worry, is like, Okay, well
they're not closed in games. So now I'm worried because
the magic maybe you got to find another gear, but
in the meantime, you're finding a way to close out games.
We got to say a quick break. We'll write back
on the KWA Broncos radio network. A touchdown. So it's
gonna be twenty eight to twenty the Raiders. Brock Bauers
(21:18):
have two touchdowns. He looks like he's back. So that's
gonna be a challenge for the Broncos coming up on Thursday.
They just took the lead twenty three to twenty and
the La Rams hung on to win thirty four to ten.
Is the final there for the Saints game? All right,
welcome back, Broncos react we're going until eight o'clock tonight,
and let's take another couple quick calls, and we got
to take a break after this. We got to catch
(21:39):
up a little bit on our breaks. But we'll go
back to the phones right now. And Tyler in Brufield,
what's up, Tyler?
Speaker 19 (21:46):
Hey, how's it going? Longtime listener, time caller. I'm beginning
to think that this is the Broncos identity in the
offense is maybe just fourth quarter comeback defense obviously doing great,
but I don't know. It reminds me a lot of
twenty fifteen, where like you said earlier, creative ways to
(22:08):
win and I mean, at the end of the day,
all it comes down to is the final score. So
appreciate the call and uh le Broncos go duck.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
All right, thank you, Tyler, Appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
That's what That's what it feels like like, that's the
signature of the team.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
Many people will say it's not sustainable.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
It's an argument, but until it's not sustainable, I mean,
it just keeps being sustainable, right until they find a
way to not have that kind of magic in the
fourth quarter. That's kind of who they are until proven otherwise.
Profit you're next year on Broncos React.
Speaker 6 (22:39):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (22:39):
Profit?
Speaker 6 (22:41):
Six game winning streak on Dave Logan six hundred broadcast coincidence,
I think not.
Speaker 18 (22:49):
No, it's football.
Speaker 6 (22:50):
God's speaking to us.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
That's what it feels like, right, I mean, it's it's
it's pretty uh, pretty impressive stuff to see the way
they they just found a way to cut it out
it was is obviously not pretty.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
But we'll take ugly wins every single day, my friend.
Speaker 6 (23:04):
And last week I told you seven to two, followed
by the Raiders and the Chiefs nine to two going
into the by and then we will we will permanently
park the may Tag repair man in front of Ben's door.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
No more web blankets, number web blankets, well said, Profit,
Uh yeah, man, it's gonna be It's gonna be fun
Thursday night. You looking forward to it?
Speaker 6 (23:25):
Oh, hell yeah, I'll be there all day.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
Of course you will. Of course you will. Profit appreciate you,
all right, Good to hear from you.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
The Jacksonville Jaguars are driving under a minute to go
there at the Las Vegas thirty five Kim Little by
the way, he sunk a sixty eight yard earlier.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Pretty impressive stuff, all right, we're gonna take another quick break.
We'll right back of the KWA Broncos radio network. Better
part of that game. They were chiefs, chiefs, Sir, scrappy
clawing her way back in now. Yeah, scrappy teams. It's
a it's a good quality in the AFC West, Yeah,
were it is. How's your chargers do today? There might
not my chargers. You're LA chargers. They're not mine. Not
saying only LA chargers the Broncos are. Mind you. I
(24:02):
don't have the tattoo. What's that lightning bolt down there
on your inner thigh?
Speaker 3 (24:07):
That's just a birthmark. Okay, So I actually tried to
cover it up, and it's weird that you just kept
showing that thing off. All right, So Ben's in shooting
with us for the next three hours. In the meantime,
let's we'll go back to the phones. We'll get Ben's
take here in just a second. But we go next
to Daniel Naples. Daniel, what's up, man?
Speaker 1 (24:24):
How are you? He said?
Speaker 20 (24:26):
Naples like with a surprise.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Well like they like Naples like Naples Italy, Florida.
Speaker 20 (24:33):
Oh okay, he was born and raising car springs.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
But I live out here now I got you, got you,
got you? Okay, what's up?
Speaker 7 (24:38):
Man?
Speaker 16 (24:39):
Hey man?
Speaker 20 (24:40):
Maybe I'm Paullyanna, But I look at last year and
I watched every game with a grin on my face
because it was a It's clear we had a good
quarterback growing This year, I watch it and bo Miix's
I mean, yes, he's missing deep balls. He's he's in
his second year, but I still just watch. I kind
(25:01):
of feel like I'm watching the games playing, you know,
gambling with house money.
Speaker 15 (25:06):
So well, I'm optimistic.
Speaker 20 (25:09):
I look at it and I go, there's nothing really
to be angry about or upset about because it's the
second your quarterback. I mean even Pat Mahomes didn't win
his you know, Super Bowl to the third year, right.
But I'm curious why people are so rough on on
Sean with play calling. When you look at it, it's
like every time you see a ball miss, it's like
(25:32):
the receiver was open or there was something there that
just got missed by bow And again the second your quarterback.
So I'm curious, is that a guy that doesn't know
football well enough? Is it really his play calling or
is it just the players are young and not executing
the way that Sean has it written now, I guess
(25:52):
is my question.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
Okay, that's a good question, Daniel. Thanks for the call.
Speaker 5 (25:54):
Ben.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
I'll let you have a shot at that. Oh, it's
all you abouf.
Speaker 21 (25:57):
First of all, to your point, Pat Mahomes in his
second year had fifty one hundred passing yards and fifty
touchdowns and was the MVP of league. So you know,
I would be careful with that one. I don't think
we're that standard holding bow up to as far as
the rest of it goes, it's it's both. I mean,
there's execution issues on the play, and you can find
execution issues on any play. But it's also like if
(26:18):
we're doing the same things over and over again and
they're not working any of the times, and it continues
to be you're missing a receiver deep or on those
sideline throws, or you're throwing another screenplay that you know
goes nowhere, and you can blame it on the blocking
if you want to blame it on the blocking, But
everybody knows what's coming then, you know.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
So it's a combination of things.
Speaker 21 (26:42):
It feels like we've got four staple plays in this offense,
two of which don't work, which is these these wide
receiver screens and these deep shot down the sidelines that
just flat out don't work. And whatever that is, whether
that's execution, timing, whatever you want to blame it, it's
we're how many games in the season, night games in
the season, games in the season. Whatever it is, it
doesn't work. So you either need to go back to
(27:05):
the drawing board and practice that more during the week
and get that down, or you need to take that
out of the playbook. Is that is wasted play calling
that it doesn't appear to be setting anything up, it
doesn't appear to be doing anything. It's not producing anything,
and it puts us offense in a bind.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
Early. You know, it's generically easy to say just run the.
Speaker 21 (27:22):
Football, which of course I've said repeatedly, but run with intent,
run on first and second down, and then and then
dial up these pass plays on third down. It can't
be worse than going three and out with three pass plays.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Well, as we know, the wide receiver screen is the
way they view it is a bit of function of
the run game.
Speaker 21 (27:40):
And it's not though he's not blocked the same, it's
not it's just not I'm just selling they errandly they
call it a part of the extension of the run
game whatever, and that's fine, you can you can call
it that, but it's not blocked up the same, it's
not done the same. And your best weapon is not
getting the ball in his hands on those plays you're
you're putting it in you know, fifty to fifty ball
Troy Franklin's hands or courtlandt at that one goal line
(28:01):
that didn't work. You know, Mimes has the athleticism to
make those plays work if they're blocked up properly. But
you know, bo also got to put a little more
zip on it to get it out there quicker. That's
a part of that too. So I you know, it's
a combination. It's not any one thing. Anybody tells you
it's any one thing, is you know, is wrong? Really
what it's it's it's a combination of a lot of things.
(28:22):
There's there's some some timing issues with the receivers on
the deep ball. There's some bow putting too much air
under the football at times. There's been some accuracy issues.
There's been some some some blocking issues on screens. It's
it's a combination of different things. My problem with the
play calling in and of itself. Is what I said
specifically is that you've got four staple plays that you
(28:42):
that you run a lot, two of which do not work.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
So what are we going to do about that?
Speaker 3 (28:49):
Back to the phones we go and Connor castle Rock
is up next year on Broncos React with Ryan Everards
and Benjamin Albright.
Speaker 22 (28:54):
Hi, Connor, I just want to ask you a question
about the wide receiver room, and I was wondering if
you think that they can brand through the playoffs or
do you think we need to add anybody else to
the room.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
All right, thank you for the call, appreciate it well.
Speaker 21 (29:08):
I would love for them to add a Rashid Shihed
to the room, vertical threat, a short handed vertical threat
who also has experienced in the screen game. I would
love for them to add that the Saints are asking
for a third round pick and the Broncos an't gonna
pay that. So, you know, as it sits, I don't
think they're going to make a move as it sits,
(29:28):
my gut says I don't think.
Speaker 22 (29:29):
So.
Speaker 21 (29:30):
You know, Luke Musgrave at the tight end position something
they were looking at. But then Tyler Kraft goes out
and he's going to be done for the year, and
I don't think Green Bay can afford to be selling
off tight ends now. So you know, I just I
don't know they've the receivers that they have have gotten
them to the record that they have, you know, so
I can't say that they I can't say that it
can the receivers that we have got them.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
To seven and two. This vexes you so much. I'm
really not Yeah, just very vexed. How much well vexed
about what? Well? Because I mean I see your interactions
on Twitter, and I see you kind of you know again,
rounding the bases in so many of these games, and
then they find a way to win the game, and
it's like rounding the bases on what on Sean Payton's
play calling on bone issues, those issues all exist whether
(30:12):
we win the game or not, two different things.
Speaker 3 (30:15):
Well, yes, I respect that, but I'm just saying, like
it's it ruins your narrative.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
You don't have a narrative. You absolutely have a narrative.
No narrative. You have a narrative. So everybody knows.
Speaker 21 (30:26):
That's that's not true. And I'm so tired of people
saying that there is no narrative. The game is the narrative.
We are reacting to the game.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Okay, Pat, you're up next year on Broncos react with
right Everards and Benjamin all Right, what's up?
Speaker 5 (30:42):
Pat?
Speaker 4 (30:45):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Patt? Oh Matt? Sorry? Sorry, Matt's Pat? Matt apologies? What's
going on? Matt?
Speaker 8 (30:55):
Don't worries? Uh, I just want to say, hey, when
is the in? That's great, Tuck that Strad went out
with the concussion, just as a person would have left
to see him stay in. And what would that matchup
have looked like if he had stayed in?
Speaker 1 (31:15):
I mean, it would have been maybe a little different.
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
They've been inconsistent as an offense, even with CJ. Stroud,
so the outcome may have been the same, it may
have been different.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
It's too tough to know. I mean, certainly, if I
told you it was gonna be Davis Mills over CJ.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
Stroud, you'd take that. I'm not trying to pretend like
it's something else. But also that offense, even with CJ. Stroud,
has had some pretty brutal moments. He's taken a lot
of sacks this year, and they've they've had a tough
time operating at times, especially against good defenses. They struggled
mightily against Seattle a couple of weeks ago. So yeah,
(31:50):
I think we sit here and say, well, you know,
under the circumstances, you'd probably prefer to face Davis Mills,
but you were sort of dealt what you were dealt.
Speaker 8 (31:58):
Right, Yeah, and you know, just hope he's okay.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
Oh definitely, Oh, we absolutely hope he's okay. There's no
denying that fact, all right.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Three oh three seven one, three eighty five eighty five
five six six nine zero or KWA Comma Spirit health
text line. Ben has a narrative, Yeah.
Speaker 17 (32:14):
I have.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
Anybody who tells you I am a narrative is outright
lying to you. Okay, Well you I think there's a
little bit of a shotten for it, a kind of deal.
I think you sort of celebrate. When have I ever
celebrated a loss? I did say celebrated a loss.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
But there's a certain amount of I told you that
they were not good.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
At this thing.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
I've said multiple times on Broncos Country tonight that they
are not good at this thing, and then they end
up not being good at this thing, and but then
they end up winning the game, and so you don't
get to come in and sort of dunk on the
fact that you were right.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
So you guys should like, that's not my my motive.
Speaker 21 (32:47):
I'm not motivated by coming into dunk on somebody like
I want this team to be good. What happened to
the ball will spike itself. I mean, I am right,
that doesn't change it is. That doesn't change any of
the rest of it. But I'm not sitting here trying
to like, that's not my motivated. I don't care about that.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
Like I want. I want this team to win.
Speaker 21 (33:04):
I want to be around good football and for three
quarters of a game. Right now, I've got a deal
with a head coach at base that makes twenty million
dollars a year doing the same things that don't work,
and it exasperates me. You want to talk about you
want to have me dunk on somebody else, me dunk
on the Texans for a minute, they lost.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
The football game.
Speaker 21 (33:19):
They had the opportunity to They had the opportunity to
take this thing to overtime and try to win it,
and inside of a minute, instead they ran three pass
plays with ninety whatever, eighty five yards whatever it was
to go there at the end, you run that clockout
or you're gonna punt the ball right back to the
Broncos in twenty yards for field goal position. And we
saw what happened. Broncos absolutely took advantage and won a game.
(33:41):
You want to talk about bad coaching, let's talk about
that any chance you get. I understand I'm talking about
the Texans and bad coaching. But the same goes it
doesn't matter. Oh my god, there's like no winning.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
The prophecy clearly states the talent must stay wet for
the good of the gander. It's good texts, Daddy, you
have next cerl Broncos react with Ryan ever's a bitch
of but ol Brian can't wait till you pick the
Raiders coming up?
Speaker 1 (34:05):
What's up, daddy, first time caller, appreciate it.
Speaker 7 (34:08):
Hey, listen. It seems to me like the coach is
calling the same play that aren't working. The receivers screens
and things like that, and they don't work because the
other receivers don't block. If you look Cordon Sudden, he's
never been able to sustain a block, hold a block,
or take somebody out like Shannon Sharp used to do
and Ed McCafferty. When them guys block downfield, the running
(34:30):
game works. But until we have receivers that can sustain
a block take their man out of the play, we're
not gonna have a running game. And we're gonna run
them screens and stuff, and that ain't gonna work. And
another thing, bo Nicks, he has to develop a little
more soft touch on some of them ten and fifteen
yard passes. He's throwing in their heart and court and sudden.
Then guys can't catch him that hard. He's got to
(34:53):
throw downfield. Okay, they need to throw downfield more. They're
too many of them screens and stuff. Everybody knows what
they're doing, but you know what they look sharp when
they go down twenty yards thirty yards, he's on target.
They need to go down field more.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
I'm with you on that to a degree.
Speaker 21 (35:09):
I mean, they do that vertical play down the sideline
that they throw or they overthrow it every time. They
can throw that one away too, as far as I'm concerned.
But they do need to work between the hashes. They
need to work between the numbers the intermediate game a
little bit more. And they certainly when they go up
Temple and they start doing it. They have success doing it.
My question is why don't we do that more? But
you know, it is what it is right now, and
(35:30):
you're right about the blocking, like that is a big
part of it. They don't sustain blocks and having Troy
Franklin out there to block for you is never going
to be a recipe for winning. But at the same time,
if you're the head coach and you are doing something
and it continues to not work more than halfway into
the season, it's time to jettison that and find things
that do or As a coach, your job is to
put your guys in the best possible position to win,
best possible position to succeed.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
Period. That's your job.
Speaker 21 (35:53):
And so if you're doing things that are deliberately not
doing that, then what do.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
You want me to What narrative word do you want
me to use?
Speaker 3 (36:02):
Five six six nine zero is our KWA commis your
health text line can also send us a give a
call three h three seven one three eighty five eighty five. Ben,
come on, you love Dunky on the Broncos. Your problem
is now there are a few opportunities.
Speaker 21 (36:14):
To do that, as will be I like, it's the
weirdest thing that people think that I don't even know.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
I don't even know what to do to that. Uh
bit is too intellectually sophisticated for most people to understand him.
Did you text that in? Who texted that? In the
wors two on four?
Speaker 22 (36:30):
Is that here?
Speaker 1 (36:32):
I thought that was our two one three textor for
a minute there, but now look at that, it's not.
It's two and four. Uh Jesus. Ryan Ben has a narrative?
What a dunk in his face? I've just listen.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
I'm just telling you what my perception of it is.
You can you can disagree with it. You you're the
ones saying the words. I'm telling you what they mean like.
Speaker 21 (36:55):
You don't have to. We don't have to. I want
to win. I like it when when we win? Why
would I not like it? Why would I want to lose?
Speaker 1 (37:03):
Here, let's just deconstruct you.
Speaker 21 (37:04):
I'll get it to it. That's fine. We'll bury this
on the air once and for all. Why would I
want to lose?
Speaker 1 (37:07):
You tell me?
Speaker 21 (37:08):
Because then you get to be right. I don't get
to be right about it. How would I be right
about us losing? What would it be to be right about?
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Well? You are you going to be finished or are
you really not? Okay? Skill it, but I'm not gonna
talk to you.
Speaker 15 (37:19):
Skill it.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
You're up next to your abroncos reechoes. I'll skill it.
Speaker 12 (37:23):
Hey, that last hand was a pretty smart caller, but
John Elway threw a bullet every time. I wouldn't. I
wouldn't mess with bone X. Now, if it's not broke,
I'll fix it. This team's hot. They just gotta keep
what they're doing. They're gonna play Kansas City here in
a couple of weeks. They'll probably be favored. I can't
(37:44):
believe it. But since can't sity's gonna lose this game,
I'm I'm only suspecting they'll be favored. So what do
you think? Who are they gonna stomp on that offense?
Speaker 1 (37:55):
Who are they gonna stop on the Chiefs offense?
Speaker 3 (37:57):
Yeah, well, let's and that that's they're playing with a
lot of swigger. Although I think they're about to lose
this game to the Chiefs. By the way, the Jaguars
just scored a touchdown from one yard out on fourth
and goal from the one. Again, the Raiders will get
an opportunity touch the ball. We'll see what they can
do with it, but Jaguars just went up. It'll be
about thirty to twenty three. Uh, you know, I don't know, Skillett,
(38:18):
what do you think?
Speaker 15 (38:19):
Well?
Speaker 12 (38:20):
Between Worthy, I can't predict the future. I mean Worthy
are the race car driver or Kelsey or maybe Mahomes.
But I can tell you what I think. Out of
all those guys, one of them.
Speaker 18 (38:33):
Is gonna get their head kicked in.
Speaker 12 (38:34):
And I guarantee you that one of them will.
Speaker 18 (38:38):
I'm I'm sad.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
That's official Hostay goodness, all right.
Speaker 3 (38:45):
We still have one more of our fifty dollars gift
cars to SAMs numbers three diner and bar to give away.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
So if you live.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
In Denver Boulder, please give us a call or shoots
text three or three seven three eighty five eighty five
or five six six nine zero.
Speaker 1 (38:58):
We'll be right back on the kay Broncos radio network.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
Benjamin Albright with us were until eight o'clock tonight, so
we have about two and a half hours.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
Buffalo Bill's looks like they are going.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
I don't want to just jinx it, but they're they're
in pretty good shape here to get a twenty eight
to twenty one win over the Chiefs. The Raiders are driving.
Jacksonville scored touchdown. They took like a six alost seven
minute drive. God's out down there to the one yard
line and fourth and goal from the one. Trevor Lawrence
was able to get across the goal line. But the
Raiders are now at the Jacksonville twenty three with one
(39:31):
twenty one remaining in overtime.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
Now, if you're the Raiders, do you go for two?
Speaker 11 (39:36):
Right?
Speaker 21 (39:38):
Get nothing to lose? Yeah, you are a two and
five football team. You have nothing to lose.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
Earlier this season, when the Green Bay Packers kicked the
field goal for the tie, what are you doing? I
was so sick about that.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
I mean, I can understand you played a really tough
game and you didn't want to, you know, want to
walk away with a loss. But at the same time,
you got to play for the win.
Speaker 21 (39:57):
And shouts by the way to uh Cam Little Yes,
sixty eight yard field goal earlier today or new NFL record.
Actually we have that call. You want to hear a
javill call. I have both.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
I have the Jacksonville call and they have the Las
Vegas calls? Here both which which one you want?
Speaker 21 (40:14):
First?
Speaker 3 (40:14):
Let's start with the positive one first, all right, this
is the Jacksonville call.
Speaker 5 (40:18):
So here we go.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
A sixty eight yarder from the left.
Speaker 5 (40:21):
Hash Logan puts it down.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
Cam Little kicks it up. The sixty eight yard field.
Speaker 10 (40:26):
Goal is good.
Speaker 1 (40:30):
Paper from sixty eight the yards on.
Speaker 5 (40:34):
The last player a half?
Speaker 1 (40:36):
How good is that? That was amazing? What a call?
Speaker 5 (40:40):
All right?
Speaker 3 (40:40):
So that was Frank Frangie Jaguars Radio Network. By the way,
the Bills has missed a field goal. This the field
goal twenty two seconds. Oh my god, way I missed
a lad he's what thirteen?
Speaker 1 (40:51):
Yeah? Please don't, please don't. I missed on brock Bauers earlier.
Speaker 3 (40:57):
Today he's got eleven catches for one hundred and twenty
five yards on two touchdow. So for everybody that I
gave the advice to wait on brock Bauers, I apologize.
He ended up having a big game against Jacks, and
I save you from Jacoby Myers. Yeah, you did save
me from Jacoby Myers. He didn't really have much of
a game. Patrick Mahomes hits Xavier Worthy for eighteen yards
to start the drive. Oh my god, oh my god,
this is ridiculous. All right, very quickly Here's the Las
(41:17):
Vegas call of the sixty eight yarder.
Speaker 23 (41:20):
A sixty eight yard record setting field goal.
Speaker 6 (41:22):
If he makes it, Cook puts it down, Little.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
Swings the right leg. It is a line drive to
the goalpost head.
Speaker 23 (41:30):
It's a record center here in Allegiance Stadium. Cam Little
breaks the NFL record for longest field goal in NFL game.
Speaker 1 (41:40):
Jason Horwitz, Las Vegas Raiders Radio Network, Compass Media Network.
What is the Raiders guy some more jubil little about
that field goal than the Jags guy. He kind of did,
didn't He just saying, God, this is the chief quarter kids,
I've seen your sweat this thing. I cannot believe he
missed that field goal.
Speaker 3 (41:57):
And by the way, a penalty Jacksonville defensive pass interference
first and goal from the Jacksonville won with thirty four
seconds remaining.
Speaker 1 (42:09):
Just comical. That's a great late, great late slate right
here with the overtime except for the Rams game. Yeah,
well then we all expected that. How about that about
the Carolina today. It was on the wrong side of
that one. Well that's what we're talking about earlier, Like
you know.
Speaker 3 (42:24):
They shows after games. This was when they showed up
Broncos fans complaining. It's like, would you rather be Carol?
Would you rather be the Green Bay package? Oh my gosh,
that was almost tipped that.
Speaker 1 (42:31):
Wow, they ran that.
Speaker 21 (42:33):
That's he was running behind for the tip drill. Oh
my god, oh my kids in Kansas City. Almost all right,
so there's what is eleven seconds?
Speaker 1 (42:42):
I can't see. No, we're down of like I think
we're down of five. Oh so we got one. We're
play yeah you want we're play here.
Speaker 21 (42:47):
Because he ran you know five, was supposed to run
down behind what type does He's supposed to come back
behind there.
Speaker 1 (42:53):
And get it and he only just missed it. Couldn't
get there, man? All right, one or play three seconds left?
Speaker 21 (43:01):
So final play here, final play yep, oh man, you
gotta loft nail biers like this.
Speaker 3 (43:07):
See And that's what was so brutal boy last week
they're all blowouts. It was kind of just boring. This
has been this has been really great. Look at look
at him coasted back of the air. Let's short of
the end zone. That's not even to happen anyways. All right,
Bill's win. There you go, all right, Bill's win. Good stuff.
Speaker 1 (43:24):
We can all exhale.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
Now they are five and four. The Chargers surviving today
the Titans.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
Titans had them there for a minute. Well, the Chargers
are down to I mean Joe Alt got carted off.
Did that's a big deal. It's a big deal. Another
one they're down.
Speaker 21 (43:39):
I mean they've got like a junior high school offensive line.
Speaker 1 (43:41):
Now, yeah, that's a really big deal.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
Zach, You're up next year on Broncos react with Ryan
Edwards and Benjamin ol Bright.
Speaker 1 (43:47):
What's up, Zach?
Speaker 22 (43:49):
Yo.
Speaker 17 (43:51):
Honestly, obviously, defense is great. I can't complain about that
when it comes to the offense. Honestly, I'm being good
ingredients here. I just I feel like there needs to
be a way to make them work together a little
bit more. That's that's the number one thing that I've
been seeing. And you know that's to be expected from
(44:12):
someone as young as bo Nicks. But I think we
really do have a really good shot this year. But
they need to find a way to connect just a
little bit more.
Speaker 3 (44:24):
Okay, Yeah, and listen, man, I think there's as we
were kind of discussing, and I'm giving Ben a little
bit of a hard time somewhat truth, but I'd give
him some hard time more than anything.
Speaker 1 (44:34):
Is there are multiple truths in all of this.
Speaker 3 (44:38):
The DNA of the team is is there clutch on
the fourth quarter? I mean, that's who they are, and
so whatever is happening up until that point, I guess
I tend to have a let's sort of see what
happens here in the fourth is as bad as it looks,
as frustrated as Broncos fans are as they're tweeting at
me and sending texts and blow me up saying like, ah,
you got to be angry now, and I'm like, I'm
(44:58):
not angry because the fourth quarter has an at and
once the fourth quarter comes to a close, and if
they did end up losing the game, well then yeah,
then we kind of can look back retrospectively and say, yeah, this,
this wasn't a good game plan and this ultimately didn't work.
But until then, that is what they are. They're a
team that, for whatever reason, tends to make mistakes, create
(45:21):
problems for themselves through three quarters and then somehow miraculously
put it all together in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 1 (45:28):
Is that sustainable?
Speaker 3 (45:28):
I don't know, but they keep winning, so it is
what it is, right Ben, I mean, and.
Speaker 21 (45:34):
I'm looking back at my treats right here, just to
make sure. And I said at the start of the
fourth quarter, quote, the fourth quarter has been the Broncos
offensive quarter all year. Gonna need something today. Then they
scored heart attack horses not dead yet?
Speaker 1 (45:46):
So is that your You coined that? Huh? I believe
I did. It's better than sure other people have said that.
Nick Ferguson's like.
Speaker 21 (45:53):
Yeah, what else we got? And then is bo Nick's
team Tebow except he can throw. It's just not appropriate.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
But I mean, come on, dude, kind of he's way
better than Tim Tebow but can throw. Yeah, but it's
it's a pejorative, and you know it is.
Speaker 21 (46:08):
They both have the clutch fourth quarter miracle, pull it
out of their teasters.
Speaker 1 (46:13):
You know, Mark leaving the leaving the game in Houston?
What's up? Mark?
Speaker 15 (46:17):
Hey man? Look, that was a great game, and I
was really I have not been to a Houston game before.
There's a ton of Rocko fans from the stands. It
was a lot of fun. We needed sert hand back.
I mean, they weren't able to shut down the pass.
Fortunately they did put them in then zone. It was
an incredible defense. That game never felt like it was
(46:41):
out of hand, you know, unlike the win against the
Giants and the Eagles, you know, that game, because they
kept us so close and only let them to those
field goals. I never felt they were out of it.
So I guess I'm just felt a fourth quarter. You know,
I have a lot of faith in them because of
what they've been able to do.
Speaker 1 (47:01):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (47:02):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (47:02):
Yeah, And I didn't never feel that way either, even
during the course of the game. And thanks you for
the call.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
Mark.
Speaker 3 (47:07):
I didn't really feel at any point that they were
out of it or that it was especially once David's
mills in there.
Speaker 1 (47:12):
I just sort of felt like you just got to
hang in there and absorb the hits.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
By the way, the Raiders lose a touchdown pass the
brock Bowers golly would day three touchdowns and they went
for two as they should and it fell incomplete. Yeah,
of course, so Jacksonville wins. But they did make the
right call going for two.
Speaker 1 (47:28):
Yeah, they did absolutely.
Speaker 22 (47:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 21 (47:29):
I mean, look, I don't know, and you can't do
could it would have shout this at the end of
the dubs A dub right, This game might have looked
different with c J. Stroud, but le Broncos luck this
season for whatever it is, however you want to do it.
If you want to call it a horseshoe, if you
want to call it bunny rabbit's foot, if you just
want to say they're that good that they turned it
on in the fourth quarter, whatever you want to say.
Speaker 1 (47:52):
All roads lead to W's as far as that goes.
Speaker 21 (47:54):
And you know that you got away with Yeah, Davis
Mills in there and you won. Put the shoe on
the other foot and say that, you know, a couple
of years ago that might not have been the case.
Matt Moore comes in for Pat Mahomes, the Broncos loser,
butts off a crushed You know, you remember that, you
remember the game.
Speaker 1 (48:09):
I do. So you know whoever's in front of you
still got to beat them. They beat them. At the
end of the day, you've got to. You gotta say,
check that box.
Speaker 21 (48:15):
I love that they got these tests against a great
defense like that, because Houston is a very good deal.
I warned everybody that defense is good and we're going
to struggle offensively, and they did. But they found a
way when they absolutely had to have it. You had,
you had the Houston coaches making a bad mistake with
a minute left to try to play for a ninety
yard drive with a minute ago allowed the no time off.
(48:36):
The clock turns around, punt back to the Broncos and
all they did was twenty something yards.
Speaker 1 (48:39):
Bow takes advantage. Boom, there you go. All right, we're
gonna take a quick break. We'll be right back on
the Kawa Broncos radio network.
