Speaker 1 (00:00):
To go up twelve to seven, and then yeah, the Broncos.
The Broncos had their their their struggles, no doubt about that,
and that three points was kind of a bummer, especially
because Michael Bandy just le me hit him right in
the chest. Welcome back to a Broncos react, Ryan Ewigs.
Benjamin Albright is been Okay, I believe he just said

(00:20):
he'd rather have Bonex than Mahomes in the fourth court
of this season. I have been a Broncos fans in
nineteen eighty three, and even I would not dare touch
to utter such craziness.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Maybe you guys just don't believe y'all tell him me
the wet blanket. No, what I'm saying is if I
absolutely and I had to have it fourth quarter comeback
this year, Bo's ben klutch. He's just found ways and
I you know, yeah, he doesn't have quite the same
tools that Pat Mahomes has.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Did you just say he was right handed? Tim Tebow?

Speaker 2 (00:51):
I made a tweet earlier today that was a bit
of a tongue in cheek, you know, kind of reference.
I said, his bow nicks just Tim Tebow, except he
can throw, which is referring to the you know, the
kind of the winning the miracle clutch gene thing that's
been going on, as as as BO is having his
insanity run.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Hey, Ryan and Andy from Kansas, I just want to
know why the callers are thinking that the Texans were
a pushover team. In my opinion, they had a good
a very good defense, fast defense, really good coaching, and
some superstars on the team both offense and defense. Even
though I don't believe this theory as to what your
opponent has done with the week before. They did wipe
the floor of the forty nine ers, but my theory

(01:32):
is good defense as travel Well. BO does need to
step up a little bit. He had so quite a
few incompletions today, But I'm still a bo lever and
happy victory Monday, go Brian, to you, Ryan and gobroncos
Yeah we did. We just have somebody call in and
wanted to go to STEM. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Man's that's that's a new one at this point. You know,
you worry about resting your guys when you absolutely have
to rest them. Let's go back to the phones. John,
what's up?

Speaker 4 (02:01):
John?

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (02:05):
John? You there? Oh John? All right, Man, I gotta
put you back and hold we'll try a little later.
Art his next year in Broncos react with Brian Everards
and Benjamin all Bright. What's up, Art?

Speaker 5 (02:19):
I think no, no one has called in tonight about
the uh play of band Riley Moss.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Have they?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Well, we've had a couple of people say that they
were pleasantly surprised happy with Riley Moss, that they weren't
down on Riley Moss. That's about all we've gotten.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
I thought that he played a fantastic game today. He
had no PI s I don't believe, and uh, he
really played a great game today. Uh they ca him
and Patser Tang kind of remind me of Louie Wright
and Steve Foley.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
You remember them, of course I do.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
Yeah, Okay, that's what that That's who they remind me of.
And so I think that as long as you've got
an all pro guy that shuts down his side of
the field, the old cornerback is always going to have
all the action. I mean, I think that's just the
way it goes.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I mean, I'm inclinent. I mean, I don't know about
all timers for Broncos, but I thought Riley Moss did
have a very nice game in a really nice pass
breakup on third down that was a key moment in
the game. And to your point, and not that we're
measuring it always against the he didn't have penalties today,
but he didn't have any penalties. There weren't any DPIs
that were backbreaking moments, and I mean, we will take that.

(03:39):
I appreciate that call Art for sure. And again I'm
not going to measure his performance over the course of
the season on does he have DPIs or not, but
he gets picked on. Chris Abrams Drain got picked on
a lot today and both guys I thought from a
technique standpoint were pretty sound. What'd you think, Ben? I agree?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
I thought rather Moss had a pretty good game rather
most a good corner. The reason that he has so
many DPIs or things seem disproportioned because he's the most
targeted corner in the NFL, because nobody wants to throw
it at Pats or Tan. So you know, you kind
of saw today how Moss is actually a good corner
and he didn't have to deal with when he's not
having everything throwing his way all the time. Abrams Drain,

(04:17):
we saw exactly what I talked about all week on
Broncos Country. At night, I'll play a little soft where
a certain will play trail technique and then cat usually
athletics in to catch up. You see Abrams Drain playing
a little soft. You can nickel and Dimian look with
the hitch routes, the slants, things like that. But he's
a sure tackler. You know, he likes to come back.
He likes to read the hips and then react. Just
a different way of playing, different technique, way of playing corner,
which it'll make you a little bit more of a

(04:38):
liability you'll give up underneath. But you know he'll also
keep plays in front of you. So there's something to that.
At the end of the day, though I thought I
thought Moss had a good game.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Tory Horden just scored a four yard touchdown pass from
Sam Darnold. The Seahawks march right down the field ninety
yards for the early score. Here on Sunday Night Football.
We'll do an NFL scoreboard coming up here in a
matter of moments. John, we got you.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
What's up? Ryan? What's up? Benjamin? Alright?

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Going on? I'll worry John Benjamin.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Aren't you from Arkansas?

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Dog?

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Yes, I am you know how Southern people try to
make five syllables into one, like your mama probably said, Benson,
get in the house. Yeah, that sounds like Dave Logan.
Here we go, man. Congrats to Dave Logan. Man, y'all
think y'all love it out there, dude, we rednecks on
coasting on the coast of North Carolina love it. Congrats

(05:33):
to Dave Logan on six hundred broadcasts. Man, nobody has
what we got dog. Last time I checked, only seventy
two people calling in talking about Stide. Man. Call on, man,
where y'all be in? Are your relatives calling in? Benjamin?
I mean really relative? You're right. You said we need

(05:56):
to get that, We needed to go to Texas today
and get in and get out with no injuries. And
I think we did that. Man. You guys are on
front every day, and y'all see things up close. Well,
us fans from far away see things from a distance.
And what I mean by that is I was in

(06:18):
town the other week. Man, I'm sitting there at these
nice seas, you know, hell Gate with Profit and all
the good guys out there in Denver. We're family out there,
and they don't have that other NFL teams don't have that.
They don't have the ownership. They don't we have. The
lady goes, why do you know people are getting ready
to parachute out of that plane up there in the sky,
I said, because they do it every game. They're like

(06:41):
they do. They don't have thunder the Horse, they don't
have the entrance we have. They don't have kowave radio
like you guys. You guys give rednecks like me in
North Carolina on the coast covers of the Broncos. People
in the military right now listening overseas, y'all don't know
other NFL team has what we have. We're lucky to

(07:03):
have we we got And it wasn't that long ago, Ryan,
that you know we'd be lucky to have set be
seventy two. So man, I'm fortunate you. You are right
a lot, Benjamin, both of you are write a lot.
I listen to both of you guys. But about the
play calling, I thought the play calling was a little

(07:25):
suspect again today. I mean, I mean Nix is from Alabama.
I mean, do we need to get some signs like
run for us, run for him, you know, like you
had to do in the movie, you know, but there
were several times he could have run. Today. When y'all
go back and look at the tape, which I know
y'all will, you're gonna see several times like he had

(07:47):
nothing but grass in front of him. But I don't
know if they're telling him not to run. But uh, anyway,
I love your show, and again, congrat to Dave Logan.
You guys. He's infectious, and I mean, we're lucky to
have the voice of Dave Logan like we do. And
I enjoy your show and I'll hang out the listening guys.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
I appreciate John, thank you so much for your stuff.
I missed the draw, so we'll throw back to home
right there. I got that Southern draw. You missed that. Yeah,
I come first. Congratulations a day for six hundred huge.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
There were some plays where both could have picked up
yards with his legs. Fact, there's there's there are every game,
there's two or three of those where you sit there
and you look and you say, they're just you could
have picked up some yards with I don't know that
he's not being coached to stay there and try and
buy the by time for the play, though I don't
know what the coaching point is on that, so I
don't want to criticize too much on on that specific thing,
but but I will say he saved the leg yardage

(08:41):
for what he needed the most.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Definitely did. We'll be right back on the kaya Broncos
Radio Network right evers Benchamin all Bright. Let's go back
to the phones. We'll check the text line here in
a second, but Steve is up next here on Broncos React.
What's up, Steve, Ryan, Uh.

Speaker 6 (08:56):
You and Ben are doing a great job again, and
I just want to say gratch today for a six
hundredth game. I live in the River Valley along the
Mississippi River in southern Minnesota, and I used to have
to drive my old van up under the ridge in
the evening when you guys were playing to catch k

(09:19):
Away and I could get it for about an hour
and a half and then I'd lose it. That was
the extent of my listening to the Broncos. But I've
been a Bronco fan since seventy seven, and it's so
great to get you guys on the internet. And I'll
tell you I'm with Bowl all the way. I think

(09:43):
that I was so happy when the Broncos got him
as a quarterback, and our defense is great. I'm not
gonna say it's with the Orange crush, but it's great. Okay, yep, great,
And I will not bad Moult our team at all.

(10:04):
We're young and we make some, you know, mistakes at
a time. My only I wish Peyton would kind of
turn Bull Lewis a little more. But hell, when you're
seven and two in a top the league, let's keep going. Okay,

(10:24):
And thank you Ryan for a great show.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
I appreciate that, Steve, thank you for listening as well. Yeah,
it was a what a great call there.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
By the way, I don't know if you saw this now,
but Cam Little after his record breaking field goal, has
already been selected for a drug test.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
That's remarkable. Yeah, we'll get to an NFL scoreboard check
here in a little bit. And yeah, congratulations again to
Dave Logan. I look forward to breaking the game down
with him tomorrow at at three o'clock. Would have been
a tough one to lose on his six hundredth game
if they would have lost his one today, but they did,
which is great, and I to the point of let's
see bow turned loose a little bit more. It feels

(11:03):
like that's going to come eventually.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Right, We're halfway through a season. You know, why haven't
we at this point? What what is it that we're
hiding for the better part of a game, three quarters
of a game before we start cutting it loose? And
why why aren't we cutting it loose earlier?

Speaker 1 (11:19):
You know?

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Bo Nick's in terms of passer rating as a top
five quarterback in the you know, in the in the
fourth quarter of NFL games this year, he's thirty first,
you know. And then and so like, what are we
doing here? I go, why can't we get this thing
going earlier? And these are these are questions like that
the head coach can't duck at the podium anymore with
where I don't want to talk about that. I'm asking

(11:40):
you a question. You you know, I mean, cool, you
don't want to talk about it? Now, give me an answer,
because that's not one.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
We will take a very quick break. John will get you,
actually really quick. We'll take John, John before we hit
the top of the hour. John, what's going on, man?
How are you.

Speaker 7 (11:55):
Fantastic?

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Me?

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Yeah, thanks for hanging on. I appreciate it.

Speaker 7 (11:59):
Oh, okay, fantastic, I am doing Gray. I love the
Broncos win real quick. My name is John Elway, actual name.
I was born seventeen days after Super Bowl thirty three.
My mom and dad love John Elway. They named me
John Elway.

Speaker 8 (12:15):
My question for you.

Speaker 7 (12:16):
Is, is there another player who's worthy of having a
child named after them?

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Wow? I guess that's a good question.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
I would say that Bronco's corner patser Tan is named
after Dolphins corner pats are Tan. Now that's a family name,
so obviously a little different, a little different there, but
it's kind of cool to John.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
And then Elway's the middle name. I guess, yeah, I
wonder if there's because that's that's a that works.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Though you couldn't exactly have, like you know, you couldn't
some of these you couldn't exactly have.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
I just don't. I just don't know what they work.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
I mean, I'm sure there's a Josh Allen out there
that's named for sure, you know that's named after Josh Allen.
I'm trying to think of Marino.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Daniel Morino, Jones or whatever, you know, something like that.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
I'm sure there's probably there's probably some of that out there.
I want to meet a Natron means Jackson. That's what
I want to meet. I want to meet somebody that's
named after him.

Speaker 5 (13:11):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
That's a good one. I'm just saying. All right, we'll
right back on the Kaway Broncos Radio Network. All right,
let's roll through some of the games earlier today. It's
a pretty exciting weekend, no doubt about that. We start
with one of the wildest games. Let's say we find
the highlight that I'm looking for here between the Chicago
Bears and the Cincinnati Bengals. All right, here we go.

(13:33):
So this is the Cincinnati call of the Caleb Williams
touchdown to Loveland.

Speaker 9 (13:39):
Williams drops back to throw. Here comes up Blitz doesn't
get home. Throw down in the middle of the field,
caught Loveland at the twenty fifteen ten five touchdown Chicago
with seventeen seconds to go.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
So that was the call from says now you just
for fun, here's the Chicago's safeties are back date but
Jay Motions left sing.

Speaker 10 (14:00):
It's picked up Caleb Croz middle of the field.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Love of catch, pricks away the thirty, Love of twenty,
Love of ten, Love of then zone touchdown.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Bears all right, So Cincinnati was Cincinnat's ESPN fifteen thirty
in the Bengals radio network. For Chicago, we had the
uh Chicago Bears radio network. It's Jeff Joniac there. So
wild back and forth game here, my goodness. Joe Flacco
four hundred and seventy passing years four touchdowns was not enough.

(14:29):
Bengals fan Bengals offensive players after the game very very
upset by the way this went in. And I don't
blame him.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
The Cincinnati Bengals scored two touchdowns in a minute twenty
five of gay game time after getting an on side kick.
Joe Flacco in ten plays repeatedly had two fifty five
plus yard drives get two touchdowns, and then.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
With thirty three seconds left on the clock. You let
that happen to you.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
I was watching it right after the conclusion of the
of the Broncos game, and I was like, Wow, we
were not involved in the wildest game I've ever seen.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
This is happening. Moving forty two was the final deal
the Vikings and Lions. Holy Couch. JJ McCarthy's back Almar
Michigan wolf range.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
JJ McCarthy takes the snap, short drop, runs up to
the right.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
What's he gonna do. He's gonna run ten five Anizon
to Pece, JJ McCarthy, Paul Allen, the k FA N,
the Minnesota Vikings radio network, and boy, they got a
They had to sort of hang on, but they kept
the Lions at bay for the most part, win twenty

(15:33):
seven to twenty four. Huge win for Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Minnesota got five sacks at Jared Goff and held the
held the Lions to sixty five rushing yards on twenty carries.
Those were the big factors in the game that allowed
them to be able to.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Pull that off. Truly remarkable. And I mean, he's coming
off of ir hadn't played in however long, and I
think most people had the Lions winning pretty big. I
think they were double digit nine and a half. I
think and a half. It was the Packers that double digits.
And oh my god. All right, we move on to
Panthers getting a buzzer beater for the win. Chanson the snap,

(16:08):
Martin the whole.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Fitzgerald drives the legs, the kick is up.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
It is good.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
Ryan Fitzgerald delivers and Carolina silences Lambo field.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
An He's shroff. Carolina Panthers Radio Network WRFX sixteen to thirteen.
Another stunner on this slate, The Packers. Packers couldn't have
lost this game. They that was brutal.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
This was hey double digit. They were a thirteen point favorite.
The Packers were the Carolina Panthers. Rode the back of
Rico Dowdle enough of the Cuba Hubbard nonsense Downell twenty
five carries one hundred and thirty on the ground, two touchdowns.

Speaker 9 (16:49):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Nice the Chargers. They lose Joe Aulds, but they do
get the win. And just when we thought Quentin Johnston
wasn't a thing anymore, guess what he still is? Herbert
They rushed for standing tall to the end ZO looking
for Q.

Speaker 10 (17:02):
God what a grab oh que touchdown shots twenty yards
Herberts to.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Shonston for Q.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Matt money Smith k if I am six point forty.
He had zero catches and zero targets the week before,
and then he gets a touchdown because that's what that's
what football is.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Well, yeah, and that's why we call him Q because
just like Jean Loup Placard's nemesis in the next generation,
he shows up randomly and when he does, he gets
nasty nice.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
I love everything you did there. Also my guy.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Around at Gaston five catches sixty eight yards and just
put it out there, bro, because you should have drafted it.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Pretty goodt pretty good. The Patriots gonna went over the
Falcons twenty four to twenty three. I don't think I
have a highlight for that, so good stuff. Drake May
two touchdowns, Trevon Henderson. You know Falcons? Falcons get three
touchdowns from Drake London. Nine catches for one hundred and

(17:58):
eighteen yards. They know what's the extra points? Kicker wove up.
You'll never guess who the kicker on my fantasy teams.
Oh no way, Parker Romo. Oh no yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
By the way, Pop Douglas biggest game in the NFL
for his career, four catches, one hundred yards and a touchdown.
His uncle was shot and killed last night. He comes
out and plays that game today. My goodness, what a
game for Pop Douglas.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Oh no doubt. Actually I do have one Drake May highlight.
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Two receivers split to the left, made back to throw
fighters over the middle.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Pitchers if the picks crows right side, step right of.

Speaker 10 (18:28):
The five, cross to the other side.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
To the line.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
Touchdown Petrins come on Bob sochie Sky's OLAG ninety five
the Sports Hub Patriots Radio, and then we'll come the
call the giants of the forty nine ers San Francisco
still has Christian McCaffrey. That's pretty good. They're down in
goal from the three yard line for sixteen to play
in the fourth. Nine is already up by ten. Shot
cuts napper Mac Jones inside hand off McCaffrey with a

(18:52):
nose for the goal line. This is it for the
forty nine Ers. Touchdown. He gets skinny up the left
pash put his face into the fire, knocked out two
Tim Ryan the forty nine Ers radio flagship K and
B R one of four five six eighty San Francisco.
McCaffrey led the team in rushing, which is pretty typical.
Twenty eight carries one hundred and six yards in touchdown.

(19:14):
Also let this even receiving five catches for sixty seven
yards in a touchdown. I thought Jackson Dart showed some
things in this. He had two rushing touchdowns on a
passing touchdown. But he's trying no scatable makes it tough.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
And oh, by the way, his defense the least amount
of points they've given up in their last three games
is thirty three to Denver.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
That's the least the fewest.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Amount of points the Giants have given up.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
In the last three games. Dang Pittsburgh with a magnificent win.
Friar moot.

Speaker 11 (19:40):
Crab motions out to the right, snap to Rogers back
looking for the right.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Four firemoot touchdown.

Speaker 10 (19:45):
Pittsburgh Steelers huss straight from Rogers to fire.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Moot, and the Steelers have taken the league. Wow Wow Wow.
Brob King one O two five wd V and the
Steelers Audio Network. Twenty seven to twenty was the final.
Daniel Jones had well his pumpkin game. I guess if
you will. He ended up having three interceptions five sacks

(20:10):
in this game. It was just a sloppy performance all around.
Josh Downs had a fumble in this game too, so
just just ugly all around. Three interceptions, three fumbles, lost
two of them. Daniel Jones fully, Daniel Jones.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
This was interesting because we had this in the parlay
this morning and immediately after I bet it, I regretted it.
I'm like, man, this is gonna be the Colts outdoors.
This is setting up for I talked to you off
the Aarros.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
I guess is.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Setting up to be just gross for me on this one,
And sure enough I should have gone my gun, should
have gone.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
With your guts. The Jacksonville Jaguars, they get a win
over the Raiders. Balls on the one ends line. Maybe
under Centris Trevor.

Speaker 10 (20:45):
Quarterbacks think he was in touchdown pay all over the top.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
He extended the football.

Speaker 10 (20:52):
Trevores scored with three twenty four to go.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
In over time. Bring Frangie Jaguars Radio network on that call,
and then the Raiders they moved down the field. Brock
Bowers gets his third touchdown. They go for two. It
was the right call, but did not get it and
they ended up losing their now two and six.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Brock Bower's worth forty three fantasy points in our league,
with the rest of my.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Team worth forty. It's always about you.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Twelve receptions, one hundred and twenty seven yards, three touchdowns,
all as Tory Horton again. Yeah, of course they're not
thrown to Smith and Jaclin. Why would they Why I
have on my fantasy team. Yeah, I think Sam Darld.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
Knows two touchdowns aff for Tory Horton.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
He didn't need to throw up that finger and say
that he said about me on the air.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
Right there is that a WU tag. He just thre
suck it all bright weird, weird the revs. Oh, this
was easy. Nikua in motion up to snap play action.
Stafford on platform, set the laces and drives one.

Speaker 10 (21:46):
Down the right sideline, cut by Nakula, touch down away.
He knocks over the pylon on a dazzling darts from
Matthew Stafford.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Jimi Long sevent ten ESPN Los Angeles at ABOUTTI staff
another four passing touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Remember all those rumors elbow back, Yeah, I think killer's word.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
What about that?

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Pretty much nothing about the Saints was impressive other than
they showcase Shaheed five catches sixty eight yards and that
was really about it.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
There. This is the worst start for the New Orleans Saints.
It's nineteen eighty in the brown bag eight oh at
eleven that year. But hey, Buffalo Bills, they're helping us out.

Speaker 10 (22:26):
There's the snap, there's the handoff, the shove is there,
and he is in burl one.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
Yard touchdown run.

Speaker 10 (22:35):
Josh Allen with this second rushing touchdown of the game.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
That's Chris Brown WGR Sports Radio five to fifty in Buffalo,
twenty eight to twenty one was the final, though there
was a lot of discussion at the very end when
they kicked the field goal. They attempted the field goal
instead of maybe going for it. A lot of people
say that they probably should have. But I guess if
you go up by ten and it's a boss or actually, yeah,
by ten, then it would have been done. But instead
you missed the field goal. Sam result, Yeah, he still won,

(23:02):
but a lot of discussions about that. The Seahawks are
up fourteen nothing, eight fifty two remaining in the second quarter,
and that wraps it for us. Of course, Monday night
football Timore and I will be Jacoby Brissette take it
on the Dallas Cowboys. Arizona against Dallas should be fun.
All right, we're gonna take a quick break. We'll right

(23:23):
back of the KWA Broncos radio network. Houston, Texans had
three opportunities in the red zone. The Broncos only had one.
It was at the end of the game. Yeah, they
had three opportunities in the red zone and settle for
field goals all three times, where the Broncos the last
one they weren't trying to score a touchdown. They were
trying to kick a field goal. But that was the
first time the end of the game that they actually

(23:45):
made it into the red zone. Although remarkably that's gonna
help the Texans red zone numbers, which are actually pretty bad.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
Yeah, I mean, but again, you look at all this,
and this just goes to show how tough it was
for the Broncos to move the football throughout the game.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
So absolutely we got a call on hold. Thank you
so much for hanging on, Don and Aurory up next
year in Broncos react. What's up? Done?

Speaker 8 (24:05):
Good even for us? How are you guys going? We're
uh well, I just wanted to say, I think you've
got somebody may have already said it, but the best
world to describe this football team right now is resiliency,
because you go back after the one and two start.
If you had told me the Broncos going on six
GM win streat there'd be two games in first place
right now, go in and into November, I would have wouldn't.

(24:26):
I wouldn't want mess over believed it. But again, with
this team's overcome, with the injuries flying overseas a short
week h the comeback, since is their fourth comeback in
the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter, there seemed to be
a fourth quarter team, and I just feel like, like
I said, the best words described is resilient, and I
think that's a mental toughness. Staff maybe Sam pays really

(24:47):
and I think he's stilled his role upon this football
team to overcome the adversity they've had these laughs during
this win Street.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
You know, I mean, I'm with you, and then that's
that's got to be the word to describe them, right,
Resilient And there's really no other way of we get
into all the other machinations of it, but the reality
is is putting yourself in position in the fourth quarter
to come back and win the game, and especially when
things aren't going well. Yeah, resilient best way to describe it.

Speaker 8 (25:12):
Yeah, yeah, And I think you know, and I know
people aren't. I mean, I've been a bow guys since
the DEA we drafted on him. I know he's has
his struggles, but I'm not. I don't want to compare
the voter to John Eli because I think John aways
in the top five greatest quarterbacks of all time. But
I will say, you know, earlier in John's career. You
guys know he had his struggles. He didn't always have

(25:32):
This may not look way to three quarters of football,
but when the game was on the line, Bow always
comes suit. What is that his six comeback? Now? Six
or seven comeback in it?

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (25:40):
I think it's fourth this year.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Yeah, we had seven total, which I was a tie
for either second or third all time in most comebacks
and in Broncos history behind John Lay, Peyton Manning and
now him Bow next ties with I believe Russell Wilson.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
It's remarkable. Are anything else done?

Speaker 9 (25:58):
Oh?

Speaker 8 (25:58):
No, I appreciate the guys. I say a time and
go Broncos. I know we got to show a week
and you know, I think division games are always tough,
but you know, the Broncos that put themselves in a
very nice position. It's nice to actually be on top.
It's been a long time going in November to be
in your first place and hopefully we can stay there.
But that's all I got, guys. I appreciate your time,
and let's just keep this thing going. Let's keep this
momentum going.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
All right, sounds good?

Speaker 8 (26:20):
Thank you guys, take care, Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Don appreciate it. We'll come back on the other side
on the kway. Broncos were your network.

Speaker 11 (26:25):
Let's head down to the locker room talk with the
starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos Boon Knicks Boe. It's
Dave Logan. I'd ask you, like, what's up in this
fourth quarter? Because you're starting to give people heart palpitations.
How can you quantify just sort of what takes place?
And we've seen it several times this year. Today eleven
points in the fourth quarter and you find a way

(26:47):
to win the game.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Yeah, we just knew it was gonna be a patient game.

Speaker 12 (26:52):
We knew they were a good defense, it was gonna
be tough, and we just had to play the field
position battle there at the end, and then we got
it close enough and got the fill out the end.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
You.

Speaker 11 (27:02):
I thought the big play in that last drive was
your twenty I called it a scamper twenty five yard run.
Did you You just saw an open lane, just decided
to take it.

Speaker 12 (27:15):
Play a couple of times to them a few different ways,
and we just there was a good gap trout and
made a good block and the d lion overran it
and the safeties kind of ran with a concept and
there was nobody on the back side of the field.
So it was just one of those times that the
scramble works and you were able to get a big chunk.

Speaker 11 (27:32):
Yeah, I'll get you out of here on this again.
I talk about I mean, you're the quarterback of the
team on the offensive side. But the defense today does
not give up a touchdown. Twice stopped Houston from the
end zone on a goal to goal situation inside the five.
Got to make you feel pretty good. You practice against

(27:53):
them all the time, but to see them in action
and what you've seen in the first eight games of
the season, it's pretty special.

Speaker 12 (27:59):
Yeah, that was huge, and they you know, whenever we
call on and they answer the call and they do
a good job. And those stops were huge and limited
that team. The field goals was huge because that was
a good football team and we knew they were gonna
play really good defense, and we kind of matched theirs,
and you know, played really good and we scored when
we had the opportunities, and we scored touchdowns, and I

(28:20):
think that was the biggest difference is we didn't have
to settle for field goals.

Speaker 13 (28:23):
And then there at the end, we got the last second.

Speaker 12 (28:25):
Field goal, which was all we needed.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Yep, Hey, congratulations.

Speaker 11 (28:30):
We'll see you this week. Thank you you bet Bo
Nicks in the locker.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
Room, and you can find all of our postgame interviews
at Kwacolorado dot com. Sam Darnold just threw another touchdown
pass and no, not to Jackson Smith and Jigba. This
went to a dwhite. He's now I see when this
refreshes here. He's start team for thirteen for two hundred

(28:57):
and twenty nine yards and four touchdowns. Apology rating of yeah.
Apologies to anybody that's playing against him in Fantasy football.
Thirteen for thirteen for two twenty nine and four touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
The Seahawks are blown out the eight point three quarterback
right perfect quarterback twenty eight nothing o'b scene in Washington.
Not a darn one of them too, not a Darnald
one of them to Smith and Joel.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Though Smith and Jabba has five catches for seventy three yards.
Sure need some touchdowns, so cray use that Hey want
to shout out our winners tonight, Scott, John and Nathaniel
They each won a fifty dollars gift card to Sam's
number three dinery and bar presenting sponsor of Denver Defense
three and outs. Broncos React gives away three fifty dollars
gift cards every week to listeners in Denver and Boulders.

(29:39):
Congratulations to those three listeners. Thank you guys very much
for your calls and or texts. I know two of
them are callers. One was a text, but we appreciate
you guys. Well, be right back of the kay Broncos
Radio Network three h three seven, three eighty five eighty
five five six six nine zeros or Kae counta spirital
text line. Oh, let's see yere. Let's check it in
on the text line for a moment. Some he's asking, Oh,

(30:00):
it looks like Brian's asking where you are right here? Okay.
If I wasn't old and neutered, I wanted kids, I
would name my boy Benjamin Albright or Ryan and Benjamin.
I knew it, Ryan, Benjamin server upon you. Oh there
you go. Nice. The Washington commanders are trying to mount
to comeback, if you will. They got Chris Rodrigas in
your guy. Yeah, remember what you were telling us that

(30:22):
Chris Rodriguez would be like the truth.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
He is the truth when he get him the ball
he's got twenty seven carries for one hundred and nineteen
yards this year.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
It's pretty good. I mean it's really not. But no
it's not.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
He has the highest success percentage on the team, and
you know he averages four point four carry. They should
give him the ball more.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Yeah, Well, you and I so a game like this
where it's twenty eight nothing, Seattle and the Washington committers
are definitely gonna lose. We've seen teams come back from
bigger deficits than this. Yeah, it's actually good.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
True.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
I'm just saying, yeah, one foot in front of the other,
but don't leave Seattle any time at this point. My goodness.
We need a touchdown here though, just to make it
kind of interesting.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
So we'll get a touchdown here close out the half,
and don't give Sam Darnold the ball back this half.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
Yeah, thirteen for thirteen, two twenty nine and four touchdowns.
Pretty pretty good, all right, So we uh got a
little bit of time left here again three or three seven,
three eighty five, eighty five, five, six, six nine zero
if you want to interact with anybody here on the show.
So you know, i'd say that because you got the Raiders,

(31:29):
you got a short week. Hopefully we'll have Marvin Mims back.
That is, you know, concussions are always kind of tricky thing.
Have you heard anything there?

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Not yet He's he's not cleared the protocol and that's
a thing that they'll have to see this week.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
He may not be back for the Raiders game. So
then and maybe you don't even I mean, I hate
to say you never don't need him. I felt like
there were times with the offense that you would have
definitely used him more. You've mentioned Troy Franklin getting ten
targets in the game. I don't think that's sustainable. That
you're not going to win football games.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
I mean, you did, you pulled this one out, but
you're not winning football games if you're targeting Troy Franklin
ten times.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Mm hm. So I don't know. I guess I guess
the next move here against the Raiders. And again the
Raiders have their own problems. Brock Bauers looked pretty good tonight.
We'll see, you know, Jacoby Myers. That's gonna be the thing.
I mean, the trade deadlines coming up on Tuesday. Any
rumblings there with Jacoby.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
I mean, there's plenty of suitors I don't think like,
if you're asking about the Broncos, they're not trading. No,
they want a Day two pick and they want they're
not gonna trade them in division.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
You know. I put out.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
A tweet the other day that if you look at
for receivers, the realistic options for the Broncos be you know,
Rashi si Heat, but that's still you need a third
rounder for that. They're not paying that. Juwan Johnson. Again,
these are these are half season rental guys, so you're
not giving up what you'd give up if this is
the guy you were looking to keep. Both those guys
are gonna be wanting contracts at the end of the year.

(32:55):
So that's I mean, what are you gonna do at
this point. Nothing, There's not really anything it's worth it.
You've gotten this far on what you got. You might
as well just roll with what you got at this point,
wait till the Russ money comes off at the end
of the year, see what else you can do about
shoring a few other things up, and go from there.
I don't know that I would trade away draft capital
for a half season rental for somebody who doesn't know

(33:15):
the offense that you're going to be letting go at
the end of the year.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
I'm completely agreeing with you on that. Again, I understand
for Broncos fans they think, oh, let's inject some talent
into the receiving core. But at this point, I feel
like you believed in this group in training camp. That's
the reason why you traded away Devon Vele. You thought
you're going to get more out of Pat Bryant and
get more out of Troy Franklin, and you have had
some moments. Listen, Trey Franklin has had some moments this

(33:40):
year for sure, and I want to see more Pat Bryant.
I mean, everything he catches sense to go for a
first down, So let's get him more involved. The opportunities
are there, it's just sort of a matter of kind
of getting them involved. But I think it's more of
a core philosophical approach that is sort of holding you
back right now. You're just too in consistent overall in

(34:01):
that portion of the game.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
Yeah, I mean, there's a Devon Vhgley sized hole on
third down. They haven't gotten the Bryant thing where they
want it yet, and you know you're missing connections with
with some of these other guys, you're missing connections with
Evan Ingram. Evan ingerm was wide open what two three
times today? Yeah, one of them couldn't have been more open.
You had Petrick fall down. Uh, couldn't have been more
open and still missed it. And so there's there's still
there's still you know, like the there's still the execution

(34:23):
and the and the connection issues in there as well.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
All right, we're gonna take another quick break. We'll be
right back on the KWA Broncos Radio Networks, said Darnold.
Joe Antennam Darnold. Although although Sam, for what it's worth,
is thirteen for thirteen for two twenty nine four touchdowns,
he might be a little resident to push this too
much because he's got a perfect rating going, he's got
the street going.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
Look, I was calling him Sam's number three, but he
got four touchdowns, So I don't know what to do now.
Maybe he's gonna be Sam's number five. It's good, it's
good for Smith and Chigbow.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Want a shout out our guy Rick Lewis, by the way,
and uh, what a wonderful job he along with Dave
Logan did on the call today. They just got back
in town. And boy, I'll tell you what, it's gonna
be fun this week. It'll be a kind of a
blitz week. Right as you get to the Thursday night game,
turn right around for the Layers have a chance to
break it down tomorrow. I don't know, I feel like

(35:11):
that they I mean, the Raiders played into an overtime game.
We had the text earlier saying, hey, it's kind of
great that extra reps for the Raiders, and it's like, well, yes,
but also the Broncos played a pretty physical game too.
There weren't any injuries that I remember of them coming
out of this thing. And honestly, like when you look
at the total snaps, that's the one thing that I

(35:32):
have a little bit concerned with because the Broncos defense
saw seventy two snaps on today versus the Texans offense.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
So that's a lot. That's a lot of work out there.
That is sixties kind of the magic number in the NFL.
Any more than sixty STAPs, she starts to see productivity decline,
and certainly it.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Carries over, you know, on the on the body. Got
plenty of science on that. But once again, the Raiders
have so many flaws that you you hope that that
doesn't end up being.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
A product power certainly look be a beast today for
whatever other problems that they've got.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
And we've had a little issue with the tight ends.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
You know, sometimes that's Roddy Barron, Johnny burn has been
Schultz caught a few balls today.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
He did catch you Brock might be a little bit
more talented. Dalton Schultz had six catches for seventy seven yards,
including a forty seven yarder in there.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
I'm just saying like we've had a little issue with
the tight ends at times, especially with Vance.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
That's that's been his bugaboo.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
And so you know, I'm not saying that that's going
to carry the Raiders against the Broncos or anything, but
that is something to keep your eye on.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
All right, We'll be right back on the KWA Broncos
radio network, like this is this is bad.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
I mean, I don't know what they expected with a
you know, hiring the entire Shady Pines nursing home to
play defense.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
Yeah, that's a point, Marcus Lattimore that we have to
talk about. That. It's Drew lock sighting right there.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
Look at that just came out right there is there's
there's druciper even before December. Yeah, that December to remember,
that's right, you just got done with October.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Don't google that, by the way, do not google that.
By the way, your guy Jack's Smith and Jigma seven
catches for one nineteen. So that's nice. Yeah, Smith and
Jigba playing well. But I need a touchdown or two
out of him or it's just not going to be feasible.
Come on, Clinton, you are coubs. You are so greedy
I am. I'm not sure he caught that in bounds either. Oh,

(37:17):
that would be the first in completion.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
The ball moving there. I think he's got the ball
got he got both feet down. Okay, the ball looked
like it moved, so I'm like control because he got
both feet down. So if the ball doesn't move, then
then it's a catch. It's actually the leading receiver in
the NFL. Yeah, how about that. Yeah that goes to
tell you how bad the rest of my fantasy football
team is. If I have Brock Bowers and that guy

(37:41):
and I'm losing.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
Oh my goodness, gracious, five six six nine zero. I
love that we're winning and we feel like we have
a future, but I'm just not sold on Bonis, Yet
I don't want to get stuck with a guy for
the next decade or more that just isn't good enough.
It's almost worse. Be pretty good for a long time,
but never great. I don't want to be the guy,
be a guy that ends his career like Kirk Cousins

(38:07):
got Lee. Man, it's just never I mean, I don't know,
like you see some some of the quarterback play that
we've seen around the league and how awful it is,
and Bonics had two passing touchdowns today and I listen,
he's through for some fifty percent. I'm not trying to
say that Bonos had a great day, but he gave

(38:28):
your team a chance to win, and that ultimately really
does matter. It means something, doesn't it. I mean, it
feels like like I'm not not trying to like say
that you can't feel that way or we can't agree
to disagree. It's just saying like I don't want to
You're starting to think about the next decade, like a
I don't want to be stuck with this guy for
the next decade. It's like he's halfway through year two.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
We're not You're never stuck with anybody but we saw
what the Broncos paid to you know, move on from
Russell Wilson unless you unless you're the Browns with Watson
and that fully guaranteed deal, you're never stuck with anybody
beyond two years. So as far as the rest of
that goes, Uh, you know bow is still a young guy.
You know he's in here. Two We did war. I
warned you all off season. Everybody told me a wet blanket.
I warned you all off season about teams catching up

(39:10):
with the tape and all that.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Kind of stuff. I still think you're a wet blanket.
I mean, you're welcome to think whatever stupid things you
want to think.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Yeah, you're still love with them, but at the end
of the day, you know you got to give them
time to grow. A year and a half it is
is not enough. You know, you need you need a
full three seasons and you can make an evaluation. I mean,
you could tell a guy's not it before that, but
if you have questions, then you got to give it
the full three years and see what's up and then
figure out from there. In the fourth year, you're going
to douse the fifth year option on this guy, because
if you're not as a quarterback, then you know he's

(39:37):
not the guy and you can move on from there
and so and that's the thing. So you've got the window,
you got the quarterback on the cheap deal, and they're
trying to figure it out.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
Yeah, it feels like in maybe two well, actually it's
say a year. Let's put it that way, because usually
by the end of year three you got to kind
of know where you're at with yeah, you're going to
pay year three, you need to know. Yeah, So to
the texture, who's kind of channeling your wet blanketness? My
blankets dry, not really but bone dry. As by the way, Seattle,

(40:06):
just convert a field goal that they're slipping. This is
uh yeah, only a field goal in that dry fifty
three seconds. Le So to go out to say to
the texture, like, by next year, I think you can
send in this like I'm not so sure about him.
I think midway through the second year, you got to
give this a little more time. And you're seven and two.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Yeah, I mean in the texture here for the five
four one points it out that always says lose big,
then lose small, then win small, then win big, And
we're in the we're in the wind, small face.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
We're winning small, We're winning. We're win the last second.
We're winning small. So Matt says, do we know what
the broadcast schedule is for Thursday? Yet? Yes, we do,
starting at noon. Our cover start in Ko starts at
noon and we'll go all the way to midnight. So
it's gonna be fun, have fun with that. Yeah, well
I I do that part. I don't. Actually, it's a
lighter day for me. I'm on at four. Oh yeah,

(40:59):
I gotta be on it, like, yeah, you're on a noon,
I'm on it four. What do I talk to about this? No,
I'm just kidding. Looking forward to talking foot both with
you guys early it started noon. You're gonna be on
A nine tomorrow. I have to be on nine am
tomorrow filling in for Rosskaminski. All right, our final segment
coming up next on the KWA Broncos Ready a network.
Very good, Very good? You still got it?

Speaker 4 (41:20):
Ben?

Speaker 1 (41:21):
You know, maybe you just keep going. I mean you're
on at nine o'clock. Maybe just still talk all the
way through rejuvenor I can do another hour now that
now that you got laugh, that's it sustains me. His
laughter sustains me. It's good. All right, We're a halftime.
Thirty one to seven is the lead for the Seattle
Seahawks over the Washington Commanders. Kind of a bummer that

(41:42):
this one is wrapping the way it is. I mean,
Washington was pretty brutal last week in prime time as well,
but that was with Marcus Mariotta. You thought it'd be
a little bit better with Washington at home. But boy,
Seattle traveling west to east and being as good as
they are. I don't know, man, Seattle, it looks like
the real deal. What do you think, Ben, It looks
like it, you know.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
And by the way, kid Kubiak out there coordinating the offense,
Arrah and Seattle will probably auditioning for some of these,
uh these gigs that are going to open up this year.
You know, he's he's really dialing it up. He's in
his bag right now. So that's just something to keep
your eye on.

Speaker 1 (42:17):
Well, And there's a lot of ol takes exposed being
retweeted out there with the people that when they traded
Geno Smith and people melting down about that, like, oh,
what a mistake Seattle is shipping Gino Smith. They're not
going to find somebody as good as Gino Smith out there.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
I mean, the whole thing is not even just saying that.
But then the acquisition of Darnald also got laughed at.
It's right, that's right, he was. It was summarily panned. Yes,
they had Donald and Drew Locke still do, still do.
Maybe that's the secret is actually wonderful.

Speaker 1 (42:48):
Going to get it.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
Yeah, the best backup in the you know, they got
a centaur statue there, and uh, I mean.

Speaker 1 (42:52):
If the Seahawks go down and score touchdown here, you
might see Drew Locke, mean with you might see Drew
Locke at this game. That's how bad they're beating the
Commanders right now, and then the command at that point
they may just you know, go white flag. I mean,
we'll see what happens in this quarter. I mean, Seattle's
gonna get the ball to start the second half, so
it's give me pretty ugly, could end up being pretty ugly. Well, Ben,
I do appreciate you hanging out with me tonight for

(43:14):
the last three hours, and I hope you have fun
tomorrow from nine to two. That's what I do.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
We'd love to sit here for three hours and let
the Textavilla line roast me all some of us deserves.
Tomorrow for the Ruskininski Show, We'll be doing something a
little bit different.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
Okay, So all right, I'll be in at three o'clock
with Dave Logan, looking forward to a breaking down this game.
I want to thank Jeff White, our statistician, Rick Winer,
our spotter, Alan Jackson, Jesse Trujillo, Zack Seegers, Anthony Rodriguez,
Jojo Turnbo, Nick Ferguson, Benjamin Albright, Grant Smith, Mike Irby,
Dominic Bond, Brenda Egger, Dave Tepper, Susie Warden, Rick Lewis,

(43:51):
Dave Logan, and of course Shannon Scott for hanging out
with us tonight. Fantastic job as always, Shannon Scott, Zack Segers.
This out a little bit earlier on Broncos React. It's
been a day. Broncos keep it rolling. Six in a row,
Dubs Dubs. Bill be on tomorrow at nine. I'll be

(44:11):
on tomorrow at three. Have a great night, everybody. We'll
talk to you later. Broncos Country. Let me hear k

(44:33):
o a Denver Broncos Country.

Speaker 12 (44:35):
