Speaker 1 (00:00):
How's the defense feeling after that performance against Dallas Cowboys
this last week?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Yeah, no, it was definitely great.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Yeah, obviously, you know, put up a pretty good performance
versus a really good offense. You know, facing another really
good offense this week, so you know, definitely some things
we needed to clean up, but you know, we're looking
forward to the challenge.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
You guys feel like going into that last game with
all the national hype around the Dallas Cowboys and how
great that offense was, is that a little bit of
a measuring stick kind of moment for the defense to
be able to kind of contain a lot of that explosiveness.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Yeah, I mean we know, when we you know execute
and when all loving guys are doing their job, you
know we can you know, play with anybody and you know, be.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
The best of the league.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
But yeah, obviously, you know, we just got to you know,
prove it every single play and every single day.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
So yeah, I just got to keep on working.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
What are some things that you noticed about this Texans
offense have kind of been a little more up and down,
and certainly that offensive line has how their moments? What
are you noticing on film with them?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
No, I mean they obviously, you know CJ. He's a
you know, a top quarterback in this league and has
proved it for three years now. And you know, they've
invested a lot and weapons around him obviously. You know,
they got some really good receivers and you know, titands
that can block and uh, you know, catch and you
know the old line they uh, you know, they invested
a lot in it this offseason.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
So it's gonna be, uh be a challenge, but we're
excited for it.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Vance talked to this week a little bit about how
he's sort of challenging the defensive front, the pass rush,
especially without Pat in this game, challenging you guys. Hey,
you guys gonna have to find a way to get home.
You as a team have to sort of sub out
the fact that Pat isn't on the field.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Do you feel that.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Way, Yeah, I mean, obviously, you know, Pat is uh,
you know, the best in the league of what he does,
and you know, it's really kind of one of only
you know, a couple of guys in this league.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
They could take away half the field.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
But you know, you saw in the second half of
that Dallas game, you know, we're really deep at that
position and you know, this whole defense understands kind of
what's that task, and you know we'll hopefully we just uh,
you know, get a repeat of it.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Of course, the pass rush has been really good. How
do you feel like the run defense has come along
so far? About halfway through the season.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Yeah, I think, you know, we're doing a good job
with the run.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
You know, obviously a couple of things we want to
clean up still, but you know, I think, uh, you know,
we've been doing pretty good against it. You know, a
couple more explosives throughout the year than we wanted to.
But you know, if we limit the explosives and you know,
just give us a chance to you know, play well
on third down in red zone, then you know, we'll
be in some good football games.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
How do you feel like this team has been able
to sustain this run so far on the wind strength
that you guys have. Is this a lot of you
guys just staying focused on the moment, not scoreboard watching
those kinds of things, because it seems like it would
be kind of easy, under the circumstances to maybe start
thinking about how great this team eventually could be rather
than staying.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
In the moment.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Yeah, I mean it's still early. I mean we're not
even halfway through the season. So for us, you know,
it's just about, you know, just keep on getting better.
And I think, you know, guys have a really good
attitude and come in every day and realize, you know,
how much better we can be.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
So it's been a really good group to work with. Thanks.
I appreciate
