Speaker 1 (00:00):
By the way, speaking of Thanksgiving, I want to give
a shout out to my guy, Grant Smith, who produces
this program. You hear him sometimes hosting on the evening
with Broncos Country Tonight of course a host over on
ninety seven three, our sister station, and if you didn't know,
he has the Taking It for Granted podcast, which is
going to air on KAWA on Thanksgiving from three to

(00:21):
nine o'clock and Friday nine am to two pm, with
host Grant Smith's conversation with Voice of the Broncos, the
KA Broncos broadcast team Rick Lewis, Susie Wargen, and Dave Logan.
So pretty cool. That's gonna be a lot of fun
to listen to. So again tomorrow from three to nine
and then Friday from ninety two here Grant Smith's interviews

(00:42):
with Rick Lewis, Susie Wargen and Voice of the Broncos
Dave Logan.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
That'd be a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Well, I was listening to a little bit of Bonox
just a little bit ago, and I'm I don't know
he's he's an interesting guy. Did you hear Vance Joseph's
comments the other day on Gorilla where he said he's
gonna be the next John Elway.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Yeah, I heard that, And I think the reason that
Vance said that was because of longevity and playing in
Denver for a long period of time. It takes a
lot to develop and become a player like John Elway
because statistically you have to support that and back that up,

(01:26):
and then to take it even further, you have to
appear in multiple Super Bowls, and to even go further
than that, you have to win a couple. So I
know what Vance was trying to say based on vot
Nick's skill set and his ability to be a mainstay
in this market, but it's gonna take a lot to

(01:48):
kind of get into that upper echelon of number seven.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Well, certainly.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
And you know, I talked with Rod about it for
a minute yesterday and we played the sound and it's uh.
And every time you're comparing a young player, an up
and coming player to an all time great, if it
feels like, well, that's hopeful and will be really nice.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
I like how you say that and then look on
your face like.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Oh, that's hopeful. I mean, I like Bo Nicks. I've
liked many quarterbacks that have come. There was a time
when we talked ourselves into Drew Luck being something very
special for this franchise because he had some of that
gunslinger mentality and oh he could be the next Brett Farv.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
You know, you know what I'm saying, Like those things happen.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
The one thing I will say that I do like
about bo Is is there is progress.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Like it doesn't necessarily have to be linear.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
It doesn't have to be like hey, from his rookie
year and his first couple of games to where he's
now that there's clear progress that has been made with
this player. And the poise that he played with in
that Kansas City game was was really special. It was
a very like his box scores, final box score, no
touchdown passes, no touchdown rushes. I mean, you know, people
will look at that and feel whatever they want to

(02:58):
feel about it. But if you watch that game, you
saw a confident quarterback. But the game before that you
did not see that. So that's where it's like. And
of course comparing eras and all that stuff, we'll just
leave that out for a moment. I think that the
bigger thing is is can he be what this franchise
needs him to be, which is a player that not

(03:18):
only attracts talent like free agents want to come here
to play with and for him, but also can he
be sort of in the moments they need him to
be clutch and come up with big plays.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Can he do that for them consistently?

Speaker 1 (03:32):
And so far this year, if there's one thing that
you could plant your feet on with bow Nicks, he's
been that guy when they've needed him to make a play,
he has. Now you've heard took of the first three
quarters and whatever, and the stats and all those kinds
of things. Yeah, I mean, we can bat that around forever.
But he's come up big when you needed him to be.
This was his response earlier today when asked about VJ,

(03:53):
saying that, well, that's.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
That's quite something coming from a coach like that, well
respected not only in our organization but in the entire league.
But obviously, I know behind a statement like that comes
a lot of work and responsibility. So doesn't just happen
in year or two, doesn't just happen overnight. So gotta
continue to do my part, do my role, and you know,

(04:16):
becoming the player that this team needs me to be.
And I'm definitely not going to uh slow down till
I'm that and more so, I'm excited about the opportunity
to hand. I'm excited about the team that we're building.
I'm excited about where this organization is right now. Just
all that to say, I know, I know we got,
you know, along a long way to go at.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
The same time, but we're building something.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
We got great culture and you know, I appreciate you
know that that statement, but definitely working things behind the scenes.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
That are gonna you know, keep that.

Speaker 5 (04:51):
You know, I guess put some uh power to that statement.
So uh, let's definitely uh slow down. Compare me to
John Lway for now, but.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Coach VJ.

Speaker 5 (05:02):
He's unbelievable. He's a great coach, great encourager to his team,
and that's why guys love playing for him.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
I love what he said, let's slow down and pump
the brakes on the comparison for now. Right That tells
me that he is looking forward, but not just kind
of deep frogging where he is right now as a player,
he know it takes a long time to get there.
And listening to him, the first thing I thought was

(05:31):
something from Marvel Spider Man, where great power comes great
responsibility and to have vance Joseph, who his defense is
playing the scene right now. To say that about Bo
after watching him play as far as what he can be, right,
that says a lot. That's a great validation that he's
moving in the right direction, but what he can be.

(05:54):
And if you're putting the can be guy saying John
Elway to me, that's a great comparison where BO can
now look at his career and say that's where I
need to get to and not only get to that point,
surpass him.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
And if he does that, Bo's.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Mission and the rare air of some of the great
quarterbacks in the NFL to play the game obviously and
the great quarterbacks that have played here for the Denver Broncos,
but that would mean that the Broncos are.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Doing well as an organization.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
And you have to have something to strive towards to
achieve because I don't know by two. I was always
wanted to be the best at everything that I strive
to be.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
And you need someone to be the role model for you.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
If that guy and that model is John Elway, and
so be it, that's a lot better.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Than Tim Couch, absolutely, and then obviously even just I
appreciate you didn't actually go to some of the quarterbacks
that have been here recently where we compared to me.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
I'm telling too, that wouldn't be fair.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
No, But there's an interesting article today and I love
that Jeremy Fowler. This he along with Dan Graziano, they
do this like weekly buzz article on just some happenings
around the league. And one of the questions that came up,
and some moderator asked them a question about who are
the most important players in this final six game stretch

(07:15):
of the season, of the regular season, and of course
Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Miles Garrett's right, guys that are
either trying to will their team into the postseason or
hang on to postseason status, those kinds of things. Miles Garrett,
of course, trying to play for history to hit set
the sack record. Bonix was on that list. Five names,

(07:38):
like five six names. BONICKX made that list, and you
know why, because the Broncos really do have an opportunity
to get the one seed in the AFC, and a
lot of it is going to be on his shoulders. Now,
of course, you're talking about the defense. Who if you
famously nicknamed mcgiver. But in the end, if they're going
to achieve that, it's got to be more than the defense.

(08:00):
If they're gonna do even anything beyond that, it's got
to be more than just the defense. You can talk
about the run game in the all line and all
the coaching, all that matters. But if bow Knicks can
sort of transform into a quarterback that is discussed in
high level performers in postseason success, that's for me. When

(08:22):
we're getting into this comp to all time grades, that's
for me where I think it will flip some of
the people that are on the undecided or skeptical side
of bow Knicks, and they're gonna say, no, no, I
see it, and I see that the Broncos are set
up for future success beyond this.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
But this is where I want to make sure everyone
is careful with the conversation, because when you do that,
you put more pressure on him, which now means as
though the play caller now has to call more passing plays,
reducing the run game even more, putting ample amount of press.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Don't don't get that far down no no, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
No no, it's not getting that far down a row.
That's exactly what we're talking about. I mean, talked about
John Elway. He talked about John Way. Oh, we're talking
about John Elway. That's a significant amount of pressure. And
only to get to that status you got to throw
the ball a lot. And I'll tell you what, even
John Elway learned a lesson. I can't win Super Bowls
just throwing the ball.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Get back into the contract extensions that happened over the
last twenty four hours, which were really kind of I
always say, surprising, but impressive, impressive considering the implications of
those contract extensions. Also, John Franklin Myers has responded to
the Malcolm Roach extension and we'll talk about that here.
In a moment, Vodex also talked about playing for the

(09:36):
one seed.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
I loved this response here and.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
It's exactly I mean, if I could have scripted what
I want him to say about trying to go for
the one seed, this is quite literally exactly what I'd
hope he'd say, you know, like understanding you haven't earned anything,
but also knowing you don't want to take.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
The moment for granted.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
And by the way, again take it for going to
podcast phenomenal, phenomenal Listen and you can listen to it
tomorrow as well, was on Friday. I'll tell you more
about that later on. Here's bout Nicks, I'm going after
the one seed.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
Well, we put ourselves in this position, uh now to
put ourselves in that position then, and I think it's uh,
you know, the job is definitely not even close to
being finished yet, but we have to put ourselves in
the spot to you know, obtain it. And so that's
you know, part of the part of the journey. You
got to put yourself in a situation to you know,

(10:30):
get it there at the end and grab hold of it.
But it's right there in front of us. And you know,
like I said, you don't get these opportunities a lot.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
They're definitely hard to come by.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
So you've got to make sure that you you know,
take it and not miss it.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
You know, you don't get these a lot.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
And you know, obviously this is my first time, and
you know, I'm definitely excited and you know, eager to
keep going about it and keep find a way to
get it done.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Yeah. I talked yesterday Nick about being greedy, right, being greedy,
saying it's right there, don't have the golly gee whiz
shucks were here excited to be just in the conversation
of you're a good enough team to go get the
one seed and how big of advantage that could ultimately
be for this team.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Yeah, this is kind of where everyone's hoping that this
organization would get back to where there's thirty two teams
and there's certain teams that hope they wish things across
for a leaf clover, knocking on wood, doing all those
types of things, and then there are the teams that
it's in their DNA they know that they're going to
be there at the end with an opportunity. And that's

(11:42):
the way that it was for me on the Mike
Shanahan and Pat Bowling. It seemed as though the Broncos
are starting to get to that particular point and you
definitely want to have belief based on your body of
work leading up to this point where you're saying you
can play with anyone. And that's not to say that
every game is going to be easy, but you just
want to know that you have the ability to fight

(12:05):
and compete against anyone, and then there's a belief in
the locker room in one another right that they can
go out and play I remember last week. I went
to Broncos practice on the Thursday, right before the Chiefs game,
and I caught Vance Joseph getting coming off the podium
and just told him, look, man, I love your defense

(12:28):
and these guys are playing.

Speaker 4 (12:30):
Well.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
You didn't your nickname, did you?

Speaker 6 (12:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (12:33):
Right, I did. Oh my gosh, you mean you.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Was the actual defensive coordinate to the Broncos and were like, hey, man,
if you could work this in.

Speaker 4 (12:39):
No, no, no, no, no no no no. See I
didn't do that.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
What I said to him Ryan was I love the
way your defense. They're playing unselfish football. And I said, well,
I called him mcgiver because the way that they show
up at the right particular moment. And he said that
this is a group of guys who believe in one
another and they play selfishly for one another.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
There's an a single guy with a mullet on that
defense right now.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
You don't have to have a mother. All you have
to do.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Can Can you work some plyers and some wires, righters
and wires?

Speaker 4 (13:18):
I mean that's what it is.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Can you can you either turning something down or you're
turning something up.

Speaker 6 (13:23):
With yes, with plyers, I don't think you're allowed to
bring that on the football far, not that I mean
that's metaphorical speaking, but the pliers being the players themselves,
putting them in position and using them right to either
detonate the bomb SATs on the quarterback or defuse the
bomb turnovers both.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Yeah, but defense only gets you so far. Yes, I
still stand to that the defense is gonna.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
Only get you so far.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
You say it yourself when we talk about Bowl and
both taking this game to a whole different level. I mean,
you just can't get there just by your defense. This
is a team sport. Bringing bow alone, bow playing the
way that he's playing at elevated levels.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
That dream of getting Santa Clara, it comes true.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Bring on.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Liam Griffin is with the Washington Times covers the Commanders. Liam,
you're on with Nick Ferguson and Ryan Edwards.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (14:15):
I'm doing well?

Speaker 7 (14:15):
How are you guys doing?

Speaker 2 (14:16):
We're doing fantastic, Very excited about this game.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Tell me, I guess from your perspective, and I know
injuries certainly played a factor.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
What has gone wrong in your opinion this season? For
Washington It'd.

Speaker 7 (14:29):
Much shorter less to talk about what's gone right, because
as the mention of those injuries have absolutely ratheraged the team.
They're still missing their top two quarterbacks and missing their
top two edge rushers, but they're finally getting a little
bit healthier with Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown coming back
this week, maybe Jay Daniels, but it's just so little
continuity throughout the roster that has really made them easy

(14:52):
to game plan against. And they have shown in inability
to really adapt to those injuries.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
And when you think.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
About these the struggles that the Commanders have had, and
I know the biggest question. They're three and eighteen, and
everyone's wondering, Okay, well, well dan Quinn if cleared, and
if he wants to play Jade Daniels, like, does he
allow him to play. I'm a fan of protecting players
from themselves, but I'll ask you, for someone who covers

(15:21):
the team, would you be all in favor of Jane
Daniels starting against this Valted Broncos defense.

Speaker 7 (15:30):
So I was out of practice. Today was their first
open practice of the week for media, and Jadis was
back out there and he was throwing, but it seems
unlikely that he'll be able to play on Sunday, he's
still holding that left to elbow a little bit gingerly,
but they seem really unlikely to want to start him
or want to sit in for the rest of the season.

(15:50):
He is someone who is a really high level competitor.
It's like they talk about a lot in the building
and he is going to be scratching and calling to
get back on the field, and dan Quinn is someone
who wants Jay Daniels to get those rents. He had
a great first season, but he's still a young quarterback
and teams have a lot more tape on him, and
so they want to have him back on the field

(16:11):
to continue to adapt the seed of NFL actions. You
really don't want to sit a guy who's looking like
the franchise quarterback on the bench for the rest of
the season. Have a whole off season. So the fan
base here is really concerned about Jade Daniels' injury history
and essential injury is going forward, but that's not a
huge concern that is shared in the building. So as

(16:32):
soon as he is back healthy andcluded by the medical staff,
he is going to be back on the field and
back starting. But we can't match up against the Denver
Broncos is tough, and then the Stedus doesn't get much
easier going forward because after that they'll have Brian Flores
and the Minnesota Vikings, who loves to blitt opposing quarterbacks,
and then a kind of vaulted defensive line at the

(16:52):
New York Giants. So there's no easy way to get
him back in, but they're going to get him back
on there at some point.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
I want to ask you aboy the run game, because
it is something that Washington desid very well this year
at number six in league hundred and thirty eight point
five rushing yards per game. And I was such a
big fan of Crossky Merritt, and I sort of thought
that that would be kind of the bell cow guy.
But for some reason, I don't know, has he fallen
out of favor. I know that we saw a lot
of more Chris Rodriguez last week. What's your opinion on

(17:23):
the running back rotation right now?

Speaker 7 (17:26):
So they like everybody that they have in that group,
even Jeremy mctagles is a bit of a journeyman as
someone who gets a lot of work in that third
down situation castic passes out of the backfield. But they
are very comfortable cycling running backs in and out almost
on a drive by drive basis. They feel like both
of those guys, Chris Rodriguez and Bill Krofsky Merritt, do
a lot of things very well. Bill has flashed a

(17:48):
bit more explosiveness, whereas Rodriguez can be that kind of
downfill between the sackles runner. But it's been a really
uphill battle for them to get that running attack going
over the last few weeks because they've had so many
injuries to the receiver group and with Daniels out as
well Mariota taking steps, it's been really hard for them

(18:09):
to earn the respective opposing defense and so being able
to sack the box and really target that running group.
And then also they're getting behind so early in games
that it's kind of shifting that game script. So Bill
is someone who is still a young player. He's still
getting used to speed of NFL action. You'll see him
try to make a cut that isn't quite there. He
has great vision, great celebration on that one cut ability,

(18:32):
but they are still working on turning him into every
down back.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
So what is the worth coming out of Washington As
far as term McLaurin nor Brown and Deebo Samuels. Is
there possibility that these guys could play, because I was
reading something that said that they all participated in practice.
If they are all or two of them are able
to play, how does that change things offensively for Marcus

(18:58):
Mariota and run game that you were just speaking about.

Speaker 7 (19:02):
Yeah, so all three of those guys practice today and
in a limited capacity. Quote Terry and Noah, we're limited
as their current back off injury. But I would expect
to see all three of them on the field together
on Sunday, which hasn't happened a whole lot of season.
I think the last time that all three of them
are together in Week two. But that really opens up
what they can do as an offense because where they've

(19:25):
really struggle is they've had no one on the outside
who can help stretch the field so they can push
the ball downfield. Terry mcclorin is someone who can take
the top off the defense and really threaten posting secondaries,
and that opens up so much underneath for guys like Debo,
who's a great run after tast guy. He's someone who
is explosive. He can take something like a screen or
a splant and makes that something that you have to

(19:47):
game plan for. And Noo Brown is a great possession receiver.
He is kind of one of the best in the
league and draw pass their fearses downfield, So that gives
you another option when you're looking to stretch that secondary
and it's giving them explosiveness that has really been lacking.
Nothing has come easy for that offense or for that
passing attack, and having an all for like Terry McLaurin

(20:10):
really gives you an opportunity to at least stay in
the game and you're not you know, you're not having
to get a viving hard.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Way last one I have for you and again Liam
Griffin joining us here. So coming off of whatever ends
up happening next year, I mean, certainly last year going
to the NFC Championship game. This year has not been
quite to that level obviously, So what will be sort
of the I guess not suspin off of this season.
What will be the discussion of how this team can

(20:37):
sort of bounce back and what kind of moves do
you expect them to make in the offseason.

Speaker 7 (20:43):
So that there it's a really good question because there's
a lot that has to be fixed for this team
if they want to compete at the same level as
the able last year. Excuse me, because they are the
oldest roster in the league, they get a lot of
this idea of them being this young upstart. They've got
Ja Daniel under center and some of these young weapons,
but throughout the roster they've got like Bobby Wagner, who

(21:05):
is forwards the lord of later part of his career.
That urge is one of their key targets. That's tight end.
He's going on thirty five, thirty six. You're going to
have to filter those guys out and being able to
do that without a Steve's drop off. And also because
of the move they've made the off season trading for
Laramie Tumple, trading for Deebo Samuel, they're entering this off

(21:25):
season with a decrease in draft capital, so they're going
to have to be active in free agency and bring
in fresh blood without trying to keep it at that
same ultimately level that they've really had. That it's going
to be a challenge for Adam Peters and Dan Quinn
to really establish an identity in the off season with
this limited resources in the draft.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
Really appreciate the time tonight. Liam, thank you so.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Much for your insight, so Problebanks for having me all right,
thank you Liam Griffin covering the Washington commanders out there.
And I, you know, a couple of things here before
we get to some pick them. I say, He's absolutely right.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
It's a multi tiered, multi layered thing.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
When you go from a team that was shot out
of a cannon last year made it all the way
the NFC Championship game, and Dave and I've talked about
this quite a bit, it's like, well, you're at that level.
Regression is just like sort of an obvious points, right,
because unless you get right back to the NFC Championship
Game or the Super Bowl, everything else is considered regression.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Now, what level of regression is always.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
The point and the part that you want to wonder
what looks like is I this is falling off a
cliff compared to that like maybe they find a way
to win a couple of games down the stretch here,
but they're probably gonna have a losing record. So you
go from that to losing record and then what is
the snap response? And you know how it is, man,
every single year, teams either hit the expectation, they rise

(22:51):
above it, or they're you know, you're either getting better
or you're getting worse.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Kind of deal.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Right, So I don't think they're a team that is
like a candidate to clean up house. I think you
give dan Quinn at least another year. You probably give
Cliff Kingsbury at least another year. But they already fired
their well, they demoted their DC and dan Quinn has
gone to calling plays.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
That's technically fired.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Yeah, so you're probably gonna do something a little bit there.
I'm just saying this doesn't seem like a team, and
it's a weird deal to say for a three win
team on a six game losing streak that they're getting
ready to clean house, they're getting ready to do something drastic.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
I don't think they are.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
I think that they're going to chalk this up to
a lot of injuries, a lot of underperforming. They're gonna
try to get younger at a couple of spots where
they can, and they're gonna see if they can run
it back in Jaydan Daniels is healthy. That is the plan.
It's like the only plan I think for them.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Yeah, this season is not an indictment and I know
some people will look at it as an indictment of
for Jayden Dames, like he was exceptional in his first year.
But the idea is that things are always different in
that second year. You lose players, you hope they not
get injured, and teams adjust and just think about what
happened to their offense. We're talking about the injuries right

(23:58):
now to Jaye Days. But they lost Austin Eckler early
in the process, right and they traded one of the
running backs to the San Francisco forty nine ers because
they thought they were good at that position. But this
is something that every team is going to experience at
some point. Right now, we'll watching in real time the
Kansas City Chiefs go through this very thing. So the

(24:22):
football gods have a way of balancing things out. That
doesn't necessarily mean that the Commanders are down and out.
They do have to make some tweaks to their coaching staff.
They do have to make some tweaks as far as
trying to get younger at certain positions. And I think
they will be okay because I trust Dan Quinn, I

(24:43):
trust Adam Peters.

Speaker 4 (24:46):
These two guys.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
One guy knows how to coach and knows how to
inspire his players. The other guy knows how to inspire
players and find talent. But right now they're going through
a difficult time. And any team can find themselves in
this position. And here's why, Ryan, because all it takes
is an injury bug to take place with key players,

(25:10):
and that derails every single thing. And I continue to
tell individuals every single year, when we watch two teams
play in the Super Bowl, we're not necessarily watching the
best teams.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
We're watching really good teams. Right. That's played great ball,
that's been the healthiest. That's right. That's how you get
to the Super Bowl. That's exactly right.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
And so for the Broncos, that's it's about mitigating that.
It's about putting yourself in the best position to be
the healthiest you can be under the circumstances. That's the
why that first first round by would be phenomenal. But
I think every team chills that way, right. I mean,
the New England Patriots lost their left tackle for the
next at least four games. The best shot he has
to come back is probably the final game of the

(25:52):
regular season. You don't think the New Eland Patriots are
desperate to have that one seed in order to get
their starting.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Left tackle back in top.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
They are just as desperate as almost any team that'll
be vying for it.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
And this is why as we come down to the wire,
this is a two horse race. Baby.

Speaker 3 (26:10):
We're watching the Patriots and the Broncos to see who
can get to the finish line the first, and it's
the race to the number one seed.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
You want to pick some games, Let's go ahead and
let's get it.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Week thirteen starts tomorrow morning. That's right, Thanksgiving the Lions.
We're actually excited to watch the Lions again this year
close to the.

Speaker 8 (26:31):
Backers opening possession of overtime golf up under center turns
Gifts the gifts Gifts had to take it.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
Up up.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
You want to call Dan Miller, Lois Brown, and TJ.
Lane the Troy Lions Radio Network w x Y. T
Jamior Gibbs put on a show. He's hurdy almost one
thousand rushing yards nine on a hard fifty.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
Five carries video game numbers.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Video game numbers Lives are favorite by three Grant Smith.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
What do you think.

Speaker 9 (27:17):
I think the Packers are gonna ruin Thanksgiving? Where the
Lions faithful and Dan Campbell. At the end of the day,
we'll be saying this small hoole, small hole, give me
the Packers dwin.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
How about you, Nick Ferge.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
I'm gonna go with Detroit right because I feel once
again you got a monster at running back, two of
those guys, and you have weapons Offensively, green Bay Love
is struggled. I think Josh Jacobs may return, but even
if he does return, they're still not driving the ball
down the field. So I'm gonna lean towards Detroit.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
I got Detroit in this one as well, but really
good game. Big implications, Yes, seven four versus seven three
and one. I talk about implications. Cowboys post the Chiefs.
Now we have dueling audio. Here the game winner. You
want to hear the Philadelphia call from last week or
the Dallas call first?

Speaker 4 (28:07):
I want to hear the Dallas call first.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
All right, here's.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
Brandon Aubrey for the win, forty two yards on the
left hash to win the game, snapping home forty two
yard kick from Aubrey.

Speaker 6 (28:21):
The Cowboys have run this football game butter butter, Butter,
butter butter.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
I don't know when they want to.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Run the tall like this.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Brad Sham little five to three of the fan Dallas
Cowboys Radio Network Butter Butter, Butter butter, not so much
for Philadelphia.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Here it is we win the game.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Spot it. Yeah, uh, it's killing the game.

Speaker 4 (28:49):
Think the game with hope.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
It's a Harrold play long pretty plays, okay, think credit thirte.
Oh yeah, well, I mean we say that.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
Barl Reese Sports Radio ninety four WIP not critical and
he's he's kind of right critical though for Dallas, because
we want to come back.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
They're down twenty one nothing, it's like first quarter.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
They stop them on defense, they score twenty one unanswered,
in fact, twenty four one unanswered to end up winning.

Speaker 2 (29:21):
That's a big game. Can they beat the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
Though, who also are coming off of a big time
winning overtime this last week.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
What do you think, Nick Ferk, I say yes, because yes,
the Cowboys are riding somewhat.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
Of a little high right now. They beat their big covers.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
Yes, I mean hig whatever you want to however high
you want to get back too high. Yes, that's the
way that they are filling at this particular moment. And
with the additions to their defense, they can now stop
the run. Isaiah Pazenko is going to return for the
chancy to the Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
It's not going to make a difference because Dak.

Speaker 3 (29:54):
Prescott and his wide receivers on a hold different level. Now,
we just need to make sure that Ceedee Lamb actually
catch the ball, and I'll change a lot of things,
especially in that sweep.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
Okay, what about how do you think Grant, I'll do.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
That fall Grant.

Speaker 9 (30:09):
I'm just trying to get on Nick Firks.

Speaker 4 (30:11):
Level back here.

Speaker 9 (30:12):
I hope the Cowboys can win this game. I don't
think it's happening. Give me the chief to win once again.
Give me the hope. No Cowboys there you go. Hurts
my mouth to say, but it's the truth. Now, don't
here in all fair is the Ravens are favored. But
I gotta hear Cincinnati.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
Call penalty flag down. Black Coat throws him teeth caught
at the seven. T Higgins runs into the end zone.
But there's a penalty flag and.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
It looks like it's holding against Pittsburgh celebrating.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
So that's going to be a twenty eight yard touchdown pass.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
We could do better than that.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
Hold on, Hold on, hold, let me see if I
can get another Cincinnati call. They're still legendary. Yes, joeber Well,
Joe Burrah is back. I don't have a better call
to that. So Joe Burrow is back. But they are favored,
so they underdogs.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
By the points. Grant, what do you think?

Speaker 9 (31:01):
I don't even like that Joe Burrow is playing in
this game, but shows the kind of competitor he is.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
I like the Bengals.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Hooray, hooray, that's quite a surprise.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Yes, I'm gonna go to the opposite way you are. Yes,
I'm gonna go with the Baltimore Ravens because Derrick Henry is,
I believe, eighteen yards off the mark of surpassing Jim
Brown is one of the all time leading rushers in
the NFL. And we know that the Bengals defense they're terrible, terrible, Yes, terrible,

(31:34):
like Charles Boord terrible.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
Okay, so you got you got the Ravens in this one.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
Of course.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
I like the Bengals. I think they're gonna be scrappy. Hoday, scrappy.
Ravens aren't playing good football right now, especially in the
offensive of the ball.

Speaker 9 (31:45):
As long as Jamar Chase doesn't spit on anybody in
this game.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
I like, it's a big ask.

Speaker 4 (31:52):
Yes, that's possible, not likely, well possible.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Uh well, a little scoreboard watching here, Jacksonville Jaguar taking
on the Titans.

Speaker 8 (32:01):
White fake, Trevor steps up, fires from the back of
the end zone, diving a tap the.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
Ball to pull the touchdown in.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
The back of the ends up Parker.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
Watch he did it on your touchdown and Jack Tivilla
is really taking the lad Frank Franji Jaguars Radio Network,
Trevor Lawrence like the three four interceptions, it was ridiculous.
But they're playing the Titans. They're really favored by six
and a half. Tells you a lot about Jacksonville right now. Grants, Yeah,
but they're playing the Titans.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
Playing the Titans du ball, So that's who you got.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
Jaguars, find a way to win again.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
What do you think, Nick Ferge, I'm gonna go.

Speaker 4 (32:37):
With the Jags. I know people are down on Trevor.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
Lawrence, but observedly well, I mean, listen, that's a lot
of weight to carry. I mean, he's really carrying that team,
to be totally honest. But I like what Liam Cohen
is doing and with this we may get another do
ball on record.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
You could be right, you could be writing us.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
I like Jacksonville too, but Titans a scrappy man. They
have been scrappy. Kim Morret's playing better football. Wouldn't be
surprised if the Titans pulled this one out.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
Staying in that division. The Colts and Texans are playing.

Speaker 8 (33:13):
Here's a quarterback snake by Daniel Jones. He's in touchdown
twelve play drive for the Colts, capped off by a
half yard quarterback keeper across.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
The goal line. Hey mister d.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
Matt Taylor, the fan of I seven one, Hey FM, Indianapolis.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
Culture of every by four and a half. Here, Nick
ferg Texas they're coming on. They might have CJ.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
Stroud.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
We'll see.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
What do you think I'm gonna go with the Texans?
I mean right now they have two.

Speaker 3 (33:44):
Of the top edge rushers Texans in the game right
now and Daniel Jones and the Colts they've been great
thus far, but they've struggled as of late.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
So Texas for.

Speaker 9 (33:55):
Me, what do you think they're Grant Smith's I saw
Daniel Jones pop up on the injury part.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
Definitely playing on Sunday. He got a.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
Limited practice he's gonna play, but he got limited practice.

Speaker 4 (34:04):
It's not gonna matter. I like the Texans. Man there
hot for the same reasons. Next set, give me the Texans.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
I'm yes, the Texans, let's go. And that's good news
for the Broncos, of course. I mean, although that's a
vision is pretty wide open. Like you thought Indianapolis was
running away with us, and all of a sudden you're
come to Texans. Jaguars are still in his Jaguars still
play the Colts twice down the stretch.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
They got this one more game against the Texans. It's uh,
it's gonna be pretty close.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
We'll do this one and we'll listen to pick them
here the Chargers Raiders.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
Chargers are favored by eight and a half.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
Hey, listen, UOC. Sometimes that offers a bit of a wrinkle.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
Grants now, it ain't Chargers win. Chargers cover much dysfunction
over there in Vegas.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
Is probably a freakod calf.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
The Patriots something this one real quick, because it matters
to the Broncos. Pay Fred's Monday night football hopped up
this emotion's wife left take to him, made his back
a pass cracker.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Head right, all old, don't walk somebody.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
Else zone and leap on the spot. Touch down, Matrian
touched up. Brady gets to fill a good and there
you go. Hot fucks in the oldest box.

Speaker 4 (35:18):
What wait what, I have no idea? What yeah.

Speaker 9 (35:26):
Yo, guy Zola chill.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Anyways, vos So she's Scott Zolac Nutty five the Sports
Hub Patriots rated network. Maybe I enjoyed the Patriots being
down over the last few years because because we can
hear those highlights now and there is such a good mood.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
It harkens back to the Tom Brady days.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
And I really hate it, and we all hated the
Tom Brady days of the New England Patriots.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
They're favored by seven.

Speaker 9 (35:48):
And a half.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
I think Jackson Dark plays this game, but either way,
if James plays, Giants shines off as can move.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
Nick Ferk nah No, it's a ten game winning streak
for Mike raberw and Trey.

Speaker 4 (36:00):
May stop it, you think, so? Absolutely, Ok, They're still.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
The Giants even with Jamis Wilson stiff arming Dv's which
that DV should be ashamed of himself to allow Jameis
Wiston to stiff farm.

Speaker 4 (36:15):
Him like that. That was pretty awesome. That was aw
that was really awesome.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
I have that call. I probably had that call somewhere.
It was, what do you think, Grant?

Speaker 9 (36:22):
If Jamis plays Giants upset, he's gonna eat them dubs
at Jackson Dart plays, He'll probably get a fifth concussion
of the year and the Patriots get their ten game
win streak. A.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
You're probably right.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
Regreate the Giants, if the Giants could win, if the
Texans can win, the Broncos win, don't worry about everyone else.
Handle your own business.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
Yes, good advice. So what are you going to do
for a guy that went.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Up to the DEFENSI according to the Broncos and try
to convince him to you?

Speaker 3 (36:52):
No?

Speaker 4 (36:52):
I didn't, Yes, I did. I just told him what
I called it.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
All right, that doesn't.
