Speaker 1 (00:00):
We head back out to the Kaowe Komaspur your Health
high Line to bring on Broncos cornerback, Pat Certain Pat,
You're on with Dave Logan, Ryan Edwards, Nick Ferguson.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
How are you man, I'm doing good. How you doing?
Speaker 3 (00:10):
We're doing good? Uh, Pat, appreciate you coming on. So
I think I think Broncos fans would would love to
know when an NFL guy is hurt and unable to play. What,
Because I've had this ask to me over the years,
what what does the schedule look like? What would a
day when you're trying to rehab that thing? What does
(00:31):
a day look like for you?
Speaker 4 (00:35):
Well, Suot, I mean the schedule change for sure, obviously
is not normal programming. So I had to come in
early in the morning, like seven am, get treatment, rehab.
And now once I do rehab, which is about an
hour or so, uh, you know, I get a little
run in, get a little lift just to keep cardio going,
(00:56):
and shoot out. I just come back and get treatment.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
So it was ready. He could take up majority of the.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Day, you know what I mean. You start at seven
and at like two o'clock, so you know it's a
good amount of time. You know, to get your rehabing
and primarily focused on the injury and make it better.
Speaker 5 (01:15):
Pat, since you have been out with this shoulder injury
or this pec injury, you had a chance to sit
back and evaluate your your defense and your teammates. We
just had Yakwa McMillan on the program before you joined us.
What has been like for you to not just be
his teammate, but just to watch him go out and
excel the way that he's excelled.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
I think it's it's an honor to watch, you know,
I've seen him grow from his.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Rookie years the where he's at now.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
And he could tell the confidence.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
That he's exuding out there. You know, he's executed at
a high level. He's playing fast, playing smart, playing savvy,
and you know he's putting his name on the map.
You know what I mean. People playin't know him now.
Now this is a chance to get to know him,
you know, as a player, but you know, I mean
not only as a player, but as a person. You know,
he shows great humidity. He goes out there, you know
(02:08):
what I mean, with a positive mindset, and when you
see guys at that succeed you know I mean it's
much warranty.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
How difficult has it been for you over the last
several weeks to be patient with this because you're a
guy that wants to play. You want to be out
there on the field, you want to play with your teammates.
It's nice to see that they kept winning. I know
that you're happy and proud that the secondaries play as
well as they have. But how difficult was it specifically
for you to just be patient with this process?
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Yeah, I mean it's very difficult to be patient with it,
especially you know when we're out here winning, you know,
and guys having fun playing out there, and you see
the camaraderie out there, you know what I mean from
the whole team. You know what I mean, Winning is
contagious and to be a part of that, obviously you
want to be out there on the field. But you know,
it's honestly been quite a blessing as well. You know,
(02:55):
you're having the time off, you know, I mean, getting
the mental feedback, getting the mental reps in off the field,
and you know what I mean, I know I'm coming
back stronger and better, and you know, and I think
that's a positive, you know, And I put in all
trusts in the Rocos staff, nutrition staff, and training staff
to get my body right. So it's definitely kind attempting.
(03:17):
You know, you want to go back out there as
fast as you can. But you know, I mean, I'm
taking it, you know what I mean, day by day,
week by week and progressing each and every day. So
I can't wait to get back out there.
Speaker 5 (03:28):
Pat when we look at you guys, you guys are
now nine and two, coming off of a bye and
obviously we're right in the midst of Thanksgiving Eve. That's
a lot of distractions. How do you guys remain focused
for this road trip? Important road trip in Washington?
Speaker 2 (03:45):
I thank yeah. I think we just got to keep
the main thing the main thing.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Obviously, we know.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
We got bigger goals ahead and there's just another team
in a way.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
But it's not gonna be easy Washington. Obviously. I think
their record doesn't tell the whole story, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
I think they had a talented team.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
You know, obviously they had some injuries that derailed them,
uh this year. But you know, when I look on film,
I see a lot of talent, uh, you know what
I mean. Ozzy Jay and Daniels he's hurt, but you know, Mariota,
he provides a lot of veteran leadership. You know, their
receivers uh been stepping up, you know with Harry out.
(04:22):
So no, I think it's gonna be a test for
us to see how we come back from the bye week,
you know, well arrested bye week. So you know, we
got to come out with the same mindset and I
get complacent all right.
Speaker 1 (04:35):

Speaker 5 (04:47):
I'm I'm eight years old and I want to ask
you what is your favorite holiday?
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Gabby, that's a great question of holiday. I think it's before.
It used to be Christmas when.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
I was a kid.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
You know, I always get out of presents. But now
it's Christmas. You're the ones that you're the one that
gets in the president now, so it's not as enjoyable,
but that's what comes with it once you get older.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
But my favorite how to do now?
Speaker 4 (05:15):
Thanks given? You know what I mean, because I'm a
big eater. Uh you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
I love the feasts have the biggest played in the.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Room, so uh given very cool and a lot of
football to watch For you guys, you don't have to
necessarily be playing, and then you're actually are playing on
Christmas Day, so that certainly changes things. Well, Pat, best
of luck, obviously practicing this week. Hopefully you get to
see you Sunday night, and thank you again for the time.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
Thank you appreciate that
